So a while ago, I saw this post by @inkz123 and really wanted to recreate the design irl. Last night i covered myself in glitter and showed off the dress for all to see! (also voice reveal at the end, but no face reveal.) (yes i got permission from inkz to use the design before doing any of this.)
Dress stats!
Time spent on the:
Base Dress: about two hours in one sitting
Chiffon Top: maybe four or five hours over a few days
ALL THE FEATHERS: about 5 hours over two sessions
Glitter: maybe ten seconds. i just used glitter spray.
Time i will spend cleaning glitter out of my room: an eternity.
Total estimate: about 12 hours over a few weeks
Total cost: (all of these are rounding and estimations)
The cotton for the base dress and the chiffon: $30
The feathers: $60
Glitter: $10
Tights: $8 (just bought them on amazon)
Extras (the charms, hair clip, etc): $15
Total estimate: $125-ish
