Honestly I cannot overstate how much seeing Hayden as TCW Anakin changed EVERYTHING. Matt Lanter's Anakin is a frat dude. He wears a backwards baseball hat and says vaguely offensive things without realizing, while being a fundamentally chill and outgoing guy at heart. Hayden's Anakin is... not that. His voice. His expressions. His physical presence. It's off somehow. It's just left of normal. It's completely unremarkable and yet deeply uncanny for reasons you can't quite describe. TCW Anakin was always a flatter, blander portrayal, but I don't think I realized until now what exactly was missing: the serial killer energy. The inarticulable conviction that SOMETHING unhinged is going on behind those eyes.

People going “waaah Lae’zel is so mean” when like, that’s the point? She was raised in a society where compassion, kindness, anything but strength and devotion to Vlaakith are stigmatized as weakness. Of course she’s mean, everything about her upbringing is pushing her to be mean.
Not to mention, she’s utterly terrified. She’s faced with the literal worst fate she can imagine, about to become her people’s sworn enemy. She keeps a clear head but she’s clearly panicking and desperate to get to what she thinks is the only cure.
And despite that, she’s still a good person underneath all the learned cruelty. Gith protocol says nothing about helping others, in fact it tells her to kill any infected. Instead, she tries to get you cured as well basically out of the goodness of her heart. And if you delay or seek out other cures she gets annoyed because she firmly believes the zaith’isk is -the only way- to be cured.
Even after she finds out her whole world was a lie, she’s not gonna just change overnight. She was still raised to be cruel and xenophobic and mean but you can see repeatedly that she’s trying to work on it. She genuinely thanks and compliments you, she respects your opinion, and she keeps sticking around with you when she could just go off on her own. (She also has 8 charisma and is from a very different culture so her attempts to be openly nice come off as stilted and weird)
Lae’zel is a kind person who was raised to be mean and thinks it’s the only way to be, she’s just “just a mean person”.
By the way, all this applies to Shadowheart as well but a little less.

I have a gripe about the Star Trek mugs...
Picard's teacup is a delicate, fragile little thing held by a strip of plastic and a dream. That thin glass will break if you look at it sideways. And where do they put that ridiculous tiny cup? On the Enterprise, which is always being dragged into conflict
The DS9 raktajino mugs are hefty, wide-based things that are meant to not tip over. They're called no-spill mugs. They have a foam piece on the bottom so they don't slip. They're incredibly sturdy – meant for ships and traveling! Where do they put them? At the station, which is arguably the most stable place they could be cause DS9 rarely gets knocked about.
Far as I'm concerned, Janeway's the only one doing practical space mugs correctly. Come on, a metal travel mug that's as strong as her coffee is black? Takes a beating through 70,000 light years of bridge shakes fighting off the Borg and the Hirogen and still holds a hot drink? Now that's a space mug

The Fatui's Handbook to Interacting with [Name]
Below is a set of rules one must follow when speaking with [Name], Lord Harbinger Il Dottore's spouse. These rules may seem simple but do not be deceived. Even the oldest employees here have trouble with them, which is why the handbook is constantly being updated. Good luck. If you have any additions please let us know.
~ Above all else, do not make them sad, and do not make them cry. Bad things will happen if you do.
~ Do not ignore them if they speak to you. Do not be dry either, it will make them sad. One must find the right balance in conversation. They enjoy anything really, and will be excited to listen to anything you have to share. If you manage to make them smile or even laugh, give yourself a pat on the back, for they will probably make sure you aren't selected for one of the Doctor's tests. But do not overstep from there. The Doctor doesn't like other people getting too close to what's his.
~ Do not mention any other God besides Her Highness the Tsaritsa in front of them.
~ Do not mention their illness unless they bring it up first.
~ Do not speak poorly of Lord Dottore or his segments in front of them. They will get mad, and then bad things will happen. (You do not want to find out what "bad things" include.)
~ Do not speak poorly of them in front of Lord Dottore obviously, but also watch your words around Lord Pantalone, Lord Tartaglia, and Lord Columbina.
~ If [Name] and Lord Dottore or a segment engage in affection in front of you, do not look at them, and leave the room if possible. If not, continue working as if they're not there.
~ Complimenting their relationship with Lord Dottore will result in lots of smiling and giggling from [Name]. However, do not ever mention anything of the sort to Lord Dottore.
~ Feel free to ask [Name] for guidance or help around the lab. They would be happy to share their knowledge with you if possible. However, only do this if Lord Dottore is not around. He doesn't like to see others bothering them.
More rules -> x
Since you guys like this so much, I'll shamefully plug my fic here (if you like soft Dottore and more fragile reader!!)

Ok I’m freaking out over the quirk shenanigans going by on in this chapter… but isn’t it something that Overhaul with his disassemble/reassemble quirk didn’t give two shits about his underlings’ health and wellbeing since he could put them back together if he needed them…
…but Tomura with only the modified disassemble part of that quirk treated his team like they were precious and worth fighting for?
