Tips to keep your dog cool this summer
Keeping your dog cool in the summer is all about careful preparation and forward planning. This will keep you and your dog healthy and happy. Here are a few tips to keep your dog cool this summer so you can enjoy the sun in safety with your best friend.
Keep your dog hydrated!
It's important to ensure your dog has access to plenty of drinking water in the summer. If you're going out with your dog, ensure you always have a bottle of water for them.
Add water to their day
Take your dog to a pool or simply treat him to a puddle of mud. They'll know what to do! This is an amazing method to chill your dog off. In any case, ensure your dog gets a decent wash after each pool or puddle session. The chlorine in the pool water may cause skin aggravation, if not washed off as expected.
Your dog will love to sit in damp corners in the house. In any case, ensure he's in every case perfect and dry after all the wet fun. Any measure of dampness in this climate can develop into yeast or parasitic disease. A wet canine is a cool canine. You can arrange outdoor summer exercises with your pooch so they include some water play—sprinklers, pools or lakes would all be able to be fun and cool.
Get them a haircut
Get your dog a summer amicable hairstyle. A light yet breed-fitting coat can help your dog feel cooler. Yet, recall – the very coat that causes them to feel blistering additionally shields them from the sun. A shaved (or over-managed) dog is inclined to burn from the sun, among other skin issues in summers.
It's likewise critical to brush your dog every now and then in summers. Brushing your dog’s jacket eliminates the dry/dead skin and clears a path for air to reach their coat. This assists with chilling off your pet. Canines are likewise powerless to many skin diseases during a warm climate. Incessant prepping can keep a mind that.
Healthy Frozen Yogurts
Dogs love ice and frozen yogurts in the summer. Yet, it's not advisable to get them a human frozen treat.
Having ice treats close by can be extraordinarily useful when your dog has pushed their limits in high temperatures. You can buy healthy frozen yogurts at Clever Canine. In case you're hoping to purchase frozen yogurt for your dog, you can look at our varied range of products at Clever Canine. The ingredients in our dog frozen treats are handpicked and of the best quality. Moreover, nothing beats the puppy eyes and happy dance your dog will make when you break out their preferred frozen treats!

Another avenue I want to explore in an Amity Park is Weird scenario is all the niche sub-cultures going on.
There is absolutely NO WAY there isn't a thriving goth community in Amity Park. They're holding picnics every full moon. They're holding crafting sessions in their friends' basements. They're adopting ghost animals left and right: eight-legged dogs and blob-cats, skeletal fish and neon bearded dragons.
There's a young man called Raphael who performs live music every week at a dance club with his band: he's got a myriad of shiny piercings, and a phone camera roll full of his rabbits, Morningstar and Salem. Perhaps those ghosts are bad business like the Fentons say, but the club's never felt more alive.
The scene and emo kids are multiplying at a rapid rate. The punks and grunge folks are doing shit with textiles that makes every quilting grandmother in a five mile radius swoop in to pass on their skills. Josie and Betty, old friends who periodically upload photos online of their handmade lace, suddenly gain an influx of young folks who want to learn how to make their own ghoulish patterns.
There's a new group peeling off from the goths that dress like the embodiment of Halloween– all bones, pumpkin orange and lengths of costume jewelry.
The historical costuming community is alive and well in these times, and they fall upon the few ghosts from times past willing to share knowledge like starving wolves. Their minds are full of patterning-math and fabric prices, and their excitement is, quite literally, infectious.
A revolution starts up in food service: a great many restaurants closed or moved to follow the many people who left Amity after the ghosts first came. A pair of brothers open a restaurant that has the best Polish food around: people politely don't comment on how the owners are dressed in clothes a century out of date or how their eyes gleam. Two cat cafes open, one space themed and another with loose definitions of what counts as a "cat." Assorted coffee and tea shops dot the landscape: some serve donuts, some have cupcakes, and others have breakfast wraps, sandwiches or savory hand pies.
People that can't afford to open a restaurant sell food out of their homes, advertised by cardboard signs with phrases like CAKES FOR $10, and BARBEQUE RIBS FOR SALE painted on them in gigantic bright letters. High school students bring in bags of cookies they made the night before and completely sell out of stock before the day is done. One woman's house has no signage and yet is known by word of mouth to be a herbalist, selling tins of homemade tea blends, flowers, assorted plant clippings, and cough drops.
Someone down the street of Casper High sells small batches of eco-friendly soap at a nearby corner store.
During summer time, lemonade stands are everywhere. Some of the lemonade is made with the strange fruits from one of the parks: no one dies, so it's fine.
The Farmer's Market has gotten... intense.

somethin bout taking care of ted in a domestic setting. making him home cooked meals, so he can go to sleep on a full tummy. making sure he relaxes properly
It's Valentine's Day, and while it doesn't mean a lot to a lot of people, it DOES mean a lot to a lot of people, to. And I feel like reader x Ted would absolutely love to douse the love on this special day. So let's gooo!
---
Relationship: Ted Lasso x reader
Warnings: None, all fluff and comfort, a bit of flirting
---
You'd both been dog-tired for the last week with work. Ted, on the road with away matches, and you busy trying to keep up with your own work.
And on the eve of Valentine's Day, you realized you hadn't gotten him a thing.
Your sweet, comforting, loving boyfriend... had nothing on the Day of Love.
The next day, Ted was at work, you were working from home. And when you had a free couple of hours, you set the ball in motion.
Butcher shop: Meat acquired.
Grocery store: Other items acquired.
Vintage bookstore: Gift acquired. This was a last-minute trip that paid off handsomely.
You hurried home and finished work tasks so you could get started. You found a recipe for what you wanted to make - and while it wouldn't be as good as his favorite food back home, you had hoped it would make his heart happy.
And Ted, of all people, deserved a happy heart.
In the oven the meat goes, on a slow, slow roast. You whipped together the ketchup, vinegar, cumin, and spices for the sauce. You even found some cornbread mix and whipped together some honey butter for a topping.
And after you sat down for a rest, the doorbell rings.
"These are for Y/N," the delivery man says, handing you a bouquet of flowers. Beautiful. All your favorite colors.
"Thank you so m..."
"There's more."
He returns to his van and pulls out a dozen roses. A dozen daisies. A bouquet of balloons.
"Thank you!" you call, from behind the stems of flowers and the balloons floating above your head.
The card reads:
"Y/N - You make my life complete. You lift me up like a balloon. You blossom my heart like wildflowers. And you're as sensual and beautiful as endless roses. Love, Ted."
Okay, before you finish in the kitchen, you need to have a cry at how wonderful this man is to you. How you lifted each other up. How your friendship formed a bond that led into this relationship -- one you've never thought you'd experience outside of a romance novel.
By the time Ted walked in the door, his downturned mouth did a 180, smiling as the smell of meat hit his nose.
You were leaning over the counter, mixing chocolate cake batter, when you felt two warm hands on your hips, a familiar face and scent nestled against your neck.
"What'cha makin', sugar?" came a low Kansas drawl behind you. Your face tickled, and you leaned into him, where he delivered a soft kiss, his hands slowly roaming up and down your sides.
"Surprise."
Ted loves surprises.
"Go change into some cozy clothes. Dinner will be ready soon."
Ted nodded and delivered another sweet kiss before heading into the bedroom, returning in a Kansas City barbeque t-shirt and joggers. His hair fell over his forehead, and you smiled.
When you pulled the meal out of the oven and gave the sauce another whisk, Ted saw immediately what you were doing.
"Are those..."
"Ribs."
Ted could cry. You'd been tired all week, too, but here you were -- taking care of him. Like you always did.
You set the plate in front of him, along with a bowl of homemade barbeque sauce. You weren't sure you exactly nailed the Arthur Bryant's recipe but you found enough hints online to give it a shot.
Ted swiped his finger in the bowl, a dollop on the pad of his index finger, and he took a taste.
His eyes closed. He smiled. He sighed happily.
You said nothing. He was in his moment.
"Darlin'... I... I don't know what to say," Ted murmurs, reaching for your hand on the table, raising it to his lips and kissing it.
"I know it won't taste exactly like home, but..."
Ted shook his head. "It does. Because you're my home."
Swoon.
You dished up your plates, cut the oven-warm cornbread and slathered it with honey butter. And you and Ted dove in.
Honestly, for oven-baked ribs, they were juicy and tender. The sauce had a kick of sweet and spicy ("Tastes like you, honey," Ted joked), and the cornbread was warm and cozy.
When dinner was finished, Ted leaned back in his chair and patted his tummy.
"Honeybunch, I don't know how to thank you for this," he said.
"Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart," you answered, getting up to collect the plates, kissing the top of his head.
Ted settled on the couch, and lifted his arm to bring you where you belong, nuzzled against his chest. He turns on a movie, and you pop up.
"I forgot!"
Ted watches you scurry to the next room, his eyebrows bunched, wondering what you have up your sleeve now.
When you return, you sit next to him and pull a wrapped book from behind your back.
"Happy Valentine's Day, my love," you say with a smile, and hand him the book. He knows it's a book, and he's excited. He's a curious reader.
But when it reveals "The Fountainhead" - his favorite book, in its first pressing, in wonderful condition, he sucks in a breath.
"How did you... where did you..."
"The vintage bookstore. Total whim."
Ted turns the book over, opening the cover slowly. You left a post-it (you know better than to inscribe a vintage, first pressed book) that says: "Happy Valentine's Day to my favorite valentine. Thanks for being my next chapter.")
Ted sets the book down and pulls you in for a hug, and lovely, romantic but sweet kiss.
"I don't deserve you, darlin'," Ted says quietly, holding your face gently in his hand.
"You deserve everything, Teddy."
Ted pulls you into a hug, kissing the side of your head so gently, so full of love.
"The cake!"
You bounce up from the couch in a hurry, removing the cake from the oven in just enough time. It's still moist, still perfect.
Ted smiles and wanders into the kitchen, his hands in his jogger pockets.
"Look at you, chef. Just pullin' out all the stops."
You smile and mix the frosting. Ted comes up behind you and pulls you into another hug, his finger dipping into the frosting, then against your lips, where he...
Licks it off.
"Might wanna save some of that there frostin', sugar," he mutters. "See if we can make a mess with it later."
From sweet to spicy, just like his barbeque sauce.
You smile and deliver the same, your eyes connecting, his cheeks blushed. He leads you into the bedroom, slowly taking off your clothes, slowly laying you on the bed.
And after making love on a frosty Valentine's Day, you and Ted curl up together, the TV on a low hum, and fall into a peaceful slumber.
Tumblr media
(BTW, this is the look when you're cooking for Ted. Yes please.)
---
I wanted to get spicier but I just didn't have it in me today. But the cute/comfort? Oh yeah. My headspace is there 100%. Thanks for this prompt, friend. And for Valentine's Day, celebrate it with whoever makes your heart happy. And I hope that means yourself, too.

little prompt for you if you like: "is that my sweater?"
Awww thank you! I'm thinking this will be really cute for Kyle and Jasper.
____ Undone
Word Count: 1.1k Content Warnings: fluff, established relationship, mild suggestive content
____
Jasper's key clicked in the lock, and they pushed the door to their apartment open. The squeak in the hinge was gone - Kyle must have finally gotten tired of it and attacked it with some WD-40 earlier today. They stuck out a foot, keeping Ruff from barreling out the door. For a dog that barely weighed fifteen pounds and spent most of his life lounging in the sunshine, he certainly seemed to think he had a chance of making a break for it.
They scooped the dachshund up and laughed as he wriggled around to lick their face. Jasper readjusted their grip on the dog to give him a scratch behind his floppy ears.
"Hey, Jazz," Kyle called out from some other corner of the apartment, "How was work?"
"Fine!" Jasper called back, gently setting Ruff N' Tumble back down as they spoke. The dog went trundling off into the kitchen, following the sound of Kyle's voice and the vague promise of food scraps. Jasper followed, shrugging off their jacket as they passed the coat rack. "Kind of tiring, I guess. Lot of bee stings. Apparently there was this office picnic out by Audobon Park and there was a hive in one of the gazebos. One of the bees got caught in a lady's purse and flew around the ER for a while... freaked a lot of people out, so..."
They finally reached the kitchen and found Kyle hard at work chopping vegetables. There was a pot of broth on the stove, and he paused just long enough to readjust the burner before returning to his carrots and onions. Ruff stood at his feet, paws tip-tapping eagerly against the tile floor. Kyle glanced down, then not-so-subtly nudged a baby carrot off his cutting board with the flat of his knife.
"Oops." he deadpanned, a lopsided smile pulling at his lips as Ruff snapped it up.
"How was your day, babe?"
"Eh. Fine. Finally got that project sent in." Kyle answered, then set down his chef's knife to pull Jasper into a brief kiss. He pulled back just a moment later, shrugging at he rubbed at one of the scars on his wrists. "Humidity's got me all itchy, though. So that's been fun."
Jasper reached out and ran their hand over the space where his shoulder met his back - one of the places where he couldn't quite reach the scars without all sorts of awkward contortions. Kyle groaned faintly and leaned into the touch, and Jasper wondered how long that spot had been bothering him.
"Here." he said, reaching to grab a spoon and dipping it into the broth, "Taste this."
Jasper obliged, though the broth was so hot they burned the roof of their mouth. Kyle winced in apology as he tossed the spoon back into the sink.
"It's good." they said, once the heat had died down enough for them to actually taste it, "Homemade ramen?"
"Mm-hm. I got the recipe online. Figured we could try it out."
"Do I have time to shower before it's ready?"
"Oh, yeah. The carrots will take a few minutes to cook," Kyle said, then gestured at a pile of green vegetables, "And... whatever this is."
"Bok choy?"
"Right," he agreed with a shrug, tossing the vegetables into the broth, "But you've got time."
"You're the best." Jasper sighed, leaning faintly into his side before drawing back. Ruff followed them for just a few steps before giving up, deciding that the chance of more baby carrots trumped the opportunity for belly rubs as Jasper made their way into the bedroom.
There were few things that helped a bad day more than a good hot shower. Jasper did their best to keep it brief, not wanting to delay dinner, but they could feel the lingering sludge of emotion from the ER melting away under the spray of water.
"Is that my sweater?" Kyle asked when they slipped back into the kitchen ten minutes later. His eyes raked up and down their figure openly, and Jasper bit their cheek to hold back a smile. They burrowed a little deeper into the garment - indeed, one of Kyle's old fraternity sweatshirts, washed and worn down to comfortable softness.
"Do you want me to take it off?"
Kyle raised his eyebrows, a half-smile pulling at his lips.
"Only if you're not wearing anything underneath," he said, dark eyes sparking as he bared them a cheeky grin. Jasper felt themself flush but didn't back down.
"What about dinner?"
"We've still got time," Kyle protested, coming up behind them and wrapping his arms around their waist. His hands snuck under the hem of their sweatshirt and traveled up, palms warm as he traced the expanse of their skin. After a moment, he let out a low breath and ducked his head to whisper in Jasper's ear. "Mm. I was right."
He'd struggled with touch for a long time. After he was first brought back, he'd hardly let himself touch them at all - as Jasper learned later, once he'd gotten his words back, he'd felt uncomfortable with the idea that it was technically someone else's hands doing the touching, what with all the splicing and grafting the witches had put him through. Jasper had reassured him, time and time again, that they didn't care and had always seen him as Kyle, but... still, it had taken a long time for him to bounce back from that. Even recently, he was hesitant with intimacy in a way he'd never really been before.
Kyle tightened his grip, pulling Jasper back against his chest, and pressed his lips to the underside of their jaw. Jasper let out a low sigh, stifling a shiver of pleasure.
And from the kitchen, a timer beeped.
Kyle muttered a low swear, his breath tickling Jasper's neck.
"That would be our dinner." he sighed, "Perfect timing."
He leaned in and pressed one more kiss to Jasper's throat, then gently unwound his arms and stepped back. Jasper didn't let him get far. They spun around and caught the lapel of his shirt, tugging him down into a deeper kiss. Kyle hummed, low and rough in his throat, and chased them as they began to pull back. Jasper reached up and ran their fingers through his mess of wild curls, drawing another low noise from him.
"To be continued," they promised, giving his hair a faint tug for emphasis. Kyle let out a sharp breath, visibly steadying himself.
"To be continued."

Ough Zeke if I could send you all these soft asks I would they're so adorable 🥺🥺🥺 but I'll settle for 5, 10, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 23 uwu have a lovely day <33
wahhh sara you're the sweetest 🥺 thank you for the asks and I hope YOU have a lovely day!
5. who do you feel most you around?
IRL I feel the most myself around my sister! We have some deep talks and she's very good at talking me through tough subjects. And in the online space, I feel like I can truly be myself with you! 💚💚
10. what’s something you’re excited for?
I'm going to see my best friend on Sunday! We're going to visit a Japanese bakery that we haven't been to before, but their bun and dessert selection looks impeccable,, I'm hoping to get one of everything on the menu 🤧
12. how are you?
I'm doing really well, thank you <33 I have a lot of ideas for art, my shoulder and neck have been feeling better these days, I've been reading some new books, I'm less stressed on the employment front, I'm having a great time rn!
13. what’s your comfort food?
Any creamy and/or cheesy pasta tbh... homemade mac & cheese, fettuccine alfredo, carbonara, mentaiko udon,, ough those creamy pastas are the way to my heart
18. do you still love stuffed animals?
Ooooo well, I do still love stuffed animals, I like admiring them in stores or in claw machines, but I don't really like buying them. I don't have much space in my room for plushies and I don't like sleeping with more than one or two of them. I have a stuffed horse named Cinnamon that my parents gifted me when I was three, and I still sleep with her next to my pillow (she's very threadbare)
19. most important thing in your life?
Hmm this is a hard one...currently I think connecting with other people is the most important thing in my life. I've been socially isolated for the past year or so, and I've been very lonely and depressed at times, so now when I do get out & about I really enjoy making small talk with strangers or complimenting people's outfits. Like I really do understand the importance of social interaction after being cut off from it for awhile 😅 even a few sentences exchanged with a stranger can make my day feel so much richer, if that makes sense.
20. what do you want most in the world right now?
I'm pretty satisfied with what I have atm! (aka nothing's coming to mind atm, sorry sara 😅)
23. favourite piece of clothing?
OOH this is tough,, I want to say my patch jacket, which I've had since 2018, it's covered in Amazingly Curated and Thoughtfully Placed patches and it's getting very heavy and stiff,, but I also recently thrifted a sherpa-lined acid-washed 80s style denim jacket that is so comfy and just warm enough for spring, I've been wearing it almost every day when I walk the dog and I feel so cool wearing it...ig I'll have to go with my patch jacket but the acid washed one might dethrone it someday soon

Vegan to vegan advice? I've rescued cats and dogs most of my life, and have a couple of best friends currently. I don't make a lot of money, enough to get by and care for myself and them but not enough to afford vegan ''pet'' food, which I've done enough research on to know it's pretty safe for dogs and, with the right nutrients and vet visits, safe for cats. (I think if I'm wrong then let me know) But I can't afford it, which sucks because animals don't deserve to die to feed them, they're lives are more important. And part of me knows it may be irresponsible to rescue any other non-human animals in crisis because that means killing non-human animals for them too, but I can't ignore anyone in need. It just sucks trying to sleep at night constantly remembering how many lives are taken for theirs, what do you think? Any advice or ideas, maybe even some homemade vegan ''pet'' foods that are cheap but have the right nutrients?
I can definitely empathise with this, it’s one of the reasons I don’t have pets myself. I’m afraid I don’t have enough knowledge on animal nutrition to be comfortable offering any recipes, i can’t even speak for the efficacy of the ones I can find online either, so I’ll approach this solely from an ethical perspective.
In rescuing an animal, you commit to adequately provide for their needs, including health, nutrition, stimulation, socialisation etc. You should only rescue if you know you have the time and resources to do that. It sounds like you do have those resources, just not so much that you can afford specialty foods - though that would be something you’d need to factor in if a vet ever prescribed it.
For you, what you have to reckon with is your own comfort levels - rescuing involves providing meat to those animals who need it. It’s fine if you’re not comfortable with that, but in that case you should look towards rescuing herbivorous animals. I do disagree on the idea that we know plant-based foods are safe for dogs and cats, but since that isn’t a viable option for you anyway there is no point in me going into that.
It is worth pointing out that whether you feed these animals or not, they are going to require food derived from other animals - the only question is again how comfortable you are being the one to feed it to them. The alternative is that they stay in the rescue centre, or someone else adopts them and also feeds them food containing meat, or that they don’t get rescued and end up euthanised, which I’d argue is not preferable.
By buying food containing meat, all you’re doing is providing for them what they need with what resources you have, that certainly doesn’t make you any less vegan, even if it does make you feel guilty. You are doing a good thing by rescuing so long as you actually can can afford to keep doing so and don’t over commit, you just need to decide if the guilt you feel over feeding them is enough of a problem to make you want to stop doing it.

Ghosts of Fear Street, Parents from the 13th Dimension | Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title: Ghosts of Fear Street #27 – Parents from the 13th Dimension
Author: Katy Hall (as by R.L. Stine)
Cover Artist: Mark Garro
INTRODUCTION
Flipping a coin. Rolling a die. Drinking milk from the jug without doing a smell test. These are all games of chance. It was by pure chance that I decided to read this book, a simple whim, so this entry will be a quickie.
I was shocked by how Coraline-like this book was. I was even more shocked to realize this book predates Coraline by several years. Both books feature a young girl, unhappy with her current life, slipping into a seemingly perfect alternate world. Although (maybe the Pelosi lookalike on the cover tipped you off), Parents from the 13th Dimension takes a turn for the David Icke.
STORY REVIEW
Why does Sarah Watson think her life is horrible? Her brother is a geek. Her mother collects garbage. And (brace yourself for this last one) her father is a nurse. Sarah has daddy issues on par with Marge Simpson. She isn’t even charmed by his homemade clothing brand. Did I mention he’s a weaver?
Steve’s Weaves
Adorable. It goes to show that traditionally masculine hobbies (e.g. fishing, pumping iron, reading kid’s books, writing funny reviews online somewhat regularly) are totally optional.
Moping along Fear Street, Sarah finds a strange coin. One side has a queen, and the other side has a lizard. While you might assume it’s Australian, this tender comes from a different AU. When the coin is flipped and lands lizard-side-up, Sarah is whisked away to an alternate universe!
Weird at first, life in the 13th Dimension proves to be pretty cool. Sarah’s geeky brother is replaced by a confident new bro. Mr. and Mrs. Watson are replaced by conventional parents. The entire medical field is presumably replaced by something radical like skeet shooting. I’m spitballing here.
Sarah finally has everything she could ever want. She has a dog now. She even gets her own horse! Every girl’s dream! (We can add this book to the hallowed halls of Equine Media I’ve Needlessly Mentioned, seated alongside A Horse Called Wonder and Horse Sense and hopefully nothing else.) There is one peculiar detail about this world, though: Sarah is forbidden from entering one room in her home. According to Fake Dad, this room is under construction. Should Sarah accidentally step on a nail, it’d be very difficult to skeet shoot it out.
Feeling nostalgic, Sarah flips her coin and visits her original dimension. She learns that no time has passed, nobody missed her, and her father is still into weaving. Ultimately, she decides it’s okay to keep visiting the 13th Dimension. But even if weaving doesn’t exist in the alternate universe, an unmistakable sense of danger looms.
When she tries to investigate the locked room, Sarah is punished by Fake Dad, who takes her interdimensional coin away, trapping her in the 13th Dimension. Also, Fake Mom forces Sarah to eat huge amounts of food, alluding to an upcoming “feast.” Worst of all, no TV or skeet shooting for a week!
Sarah snaps. Using a paperclip, the girl picks her way into the mysterious room. She finds her coin, but she also finds 3 shriveled human-suits. Not to be confused with “suits for shriveled humans.” Although, the situation would be more fun if she stumbled into Jagger’s wardrobe. These empty suits would allow a creature to disguise itself as a person. (I swear, I’m not referencing Jagger.) About this time, Sarah realizes her sweet little parents are actually a couple of 8-foot-tall reptiles from the Protozoic Universe! This book turns into Fear and Loathing in the 13th Dimension when man-eating reptiles descend on Sarah.
If only Sarah hadn’t taken her real family for granted. If she hadn’t turned her nose up at her father’s interests, she could save herself now. Somehow. Maybe. I’m trying to connect this back to the moral. But no matter how I slice it, weaving seems like an objectively inferior form of self defense than skeet shooting. (Weaving around the monsters? Suddenly, that loom pun from earlier doesn't seem like such a stretch anymore, huh.)
The girl flips her magic coin at the last possible moment. She decides to take her new dog back to her original universe probably because the horse was too big to carry. She makes it home safe and sound, bringing “Sparky” along for the ride. In the end, she tries to rationalize what just happened, guessing that reptilians must enjoy playing with their food. She doesn’t even consider that scaring your food makes the meat go stringy.
Life goes back to normal, and Sarah learns a valuable lesson: spacetime is the scariest weave of all.
THE VERDICT
Not bad, but not much of anything. From the horror to the moral to the twist ending, it’s very mild.
You can tell Stine didn’t write this one. If he had, the dog would reveal a shocking lizard tongue right on the last page. And then Sarah’s whole family would turn into werwolves and eat the lizarddog or something I don’t know. Regardless, it could never achieve a scarier twist ending than Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72.
BEST QUOTE
This book introduced me to the phrase “dishwater blonde.” I amusingly misread this descriptor as “dishwasher blonde.” What a bizarre insult, I thought to myself. Excluding that one eggcorn, I was enamored by this tubular 90s lingo:
All I knew was that this dream world was one hundred percent cool!

What Precautions You Need To Take To Prevent Your Dog Facing Food Allergies?
Preventing food allergies in dogs involves taking several precautions. While it's important to note that individual dogs may have different sensitivities, here are general precautions you can take:
Quality Dog Food: Choose high-quality commercial dog food with a balanced and complete nutritional profile. Look for options with whole, natural ingredients and avoid artificial additives.
Limited Ingredient Diets: Consider limited ingredient diets if your dog has shown sensitivities. These diets contain a smaller number of ingredients, making it easier to identify potential allergens.
Avoid Common Allergens: Some dogs are allergic to common ingredients like beef, chicken, wheat, soy, and dairy. Experiment with alternative protein and carbohydrate sources to identify and avoid potential allergens.
Homemade Diets: If you prefer homemade diets, work with a veterinarian or canine nutritionist to ensure your dog receives a nutritionally balanced diet. Homemade diets allow you to control the ingredients more closely.
Gradual Introductions: When introducing new foods, do so gradually. This helps monitor your dog for any adverse reactions and allows their digestive system to adjust.
Monitor for Signs of Allergies: Be vigilant for signs of food allergies, including itching, gastrointestinal upset, ear infections, and skin issues. If you notice any symptoms, consult your veterinarian.
Allergy Testing: In severe cases, allergy testing may be recommended to identify specific allergens. This can help tailor your dog's diet and environment to minimize exposure to triggers.
Remember that every dog is unique, and what works for one may not work for another. If you suspect your dog has food allergies, consult with your veterinarian for guidance and a personalized approach to address your dog's specific needs.
