Askerian: also issues because he's a half demon, and sensei said he thought good demons must exist, but he was still rejected on reveal, so does that mean "there can be good demons but you're not one"
Askerian: and since he's naturally smooth and it easily goes into manipulation, everything he does or say, sensei takes it as some underhanded threat or plot! he was a demon king in the book ok?!
Askerian: book him was NOT nice
Askerian: anyway a REALLY fun read
Askerian: though don't expect the sex scene to be good because it's a half-feral "fixing you via magic sex" and he canonically has huge meat :X

your husband's eyebrows raise as he senses the slightly mischievous tone in your innocent-sounding request. but of course, being the ever-patient gentleman that he is, he merely chuckles and closes his book, placing it on your dinner table before standing to his full height and taking slow steps towards the bedroom, where your voice had come from.
"of course, my love," he answers as soon as he sees you sitting on your vanity. the twinkle in your eyes and the slight crook of your smile confirm his suspicion, but he decides to humor you by inching even closer until he's standing behind you, "what will you be wearing today?"
"just something i bought recently," you hum almost too nonchalantly, and he tilts his head slightly - he does not recall seeing you buying a new accessory, so it must mean you've bought it without him present. interesting. "here, put it on me tightly, okay?"
the request sounds strange at first, but he quickly realizes what you meant when you hand him the short necklace- no. he believes there's a specific term for this accessory.
his finger rubs against the soft silk, and he immediately recognizes the details on the pendant.
"this is... custom made?" he gulps, eyeing you curiously for a brief second before returning to admire the jewelry.
though the craftsmanship isn't the best in his experienced eyes, the motif of the pendant - a portion of the geo symbol lines - the stone sitting on its center - cor lapis cut into a diamond shape - and the small engraving on its back - that he nearly missed - spells his name, a telltale sign of a special object that would not have existed in the marketplace.
you giggle shyly, cheeks warming at the elation in his voice, "i hope so, cause i'd rather not have other people walking around with your name engraved on their accessory...."
he hums, before meeting your gaze through the mirror. blazing amber pierces your soul, and for a moment you're left breathless by the intensity of them. the other hand that isn't holding your choker comes to trail against your neck, and you shiver. though his touch is feather-light, the moment they splay against your skin, you had to hold back a shameless whimper from bubbling up your throat.
your hands tremble when you hold your hair away from your neck, unconsciously bending your head downwards so that he can see the clasp better. unbeknownst to you, the small action makes your lover's breath hitch, stirring wicked thoughts into his mind.
so obedient and vulnerable.
the silk feels smooth against your skin, and the material wraps around your neck snugly. tight enough to always remind you that it's there, but not digging and scratching against your skin, just how you liked it. it was, after all, made to match your preferences.
zhongli swiftly clasps the chains to a close, and instead of retreating, his hands come to settle upon your own, pulling them away from your hair, before proceeding to comb his fingers through the strands. you watch his reflection carefully, searching for some kind of sign in his eyes, but as always, his expression is as collected and impenetrable as ever. when he's satisfied with the state of your hair, the slender appendages come up to cup your jaw, his lips meeting the top of your head in a loving kiss. your cheeks burn.
your husband gives your neck another glance and nods in approval.
"what an elegant collar, darling. you have excellent taste."

At least 150yo. Given how old Roma is (and btw I think she's older than she says, considering that even being 50+ wouldn't be enough when she fought hot young Tsuneyoshi and Yoshitoki has a 30 yo son so is at least 50 himself and Tsuneyoshi is way older than 70 + the fact she knew the underground king and stuff + Donato being Crown of Pierrot, 3rd one at that, at his age and having been in Cochlea for 15 years and outside of society for a while when he ran the orphanage, at least 15 more years, so the Clowns must have existed long before even that, which is why I think Roma is closer to a century than half of that), I think Donato is way older than her still, given the ghoul ability not to age normally + Donato control over his kagune/body -> he's been at it for a while. My actual guess places him as being a 1800s baby, so around 200yo - which would reinforce the "cruel to be one of those who can only watch over others" feelings

Suzume Movie Review
ok so where do I start [checking notes aka last night rants on my twitter]. I always want to elaborate my review so it's not just "It's great!" but without spreading spoilers. Now I'm confused haha.

Visual
Amazing as usual. Not just realistic, the colors are also, how do I put it, pleasant to eyes? Especially the colors in the sky part. Sometimes I caught myself gawking to the screen, it's That Prettyyy :")
Audio
Very suitable is an understatement, idk how to explain audio shjsja. There are some sad scenes that I don't feel any sad (im old ok), but the background song spreads the vibes immensely that I'm ended up tearing up a bit. Definitely added to my daily playlist!
Characters
Suzume and Souta has very different character, but somehow compatible. An adventurous highschooler that could rebelling against her family to do things she wants and a very family-oriented college student that resigned to his fate as the Closer (and eventually the Keystone).
As for the side characters, Tamaki-san is my favorite. She's a hardworker, worrywart but ofc that's understandable. Souta's grandfather is kinda annoying at the hospital scene, but that's reasonable too, mind you he came from different generation from Suzume and Souta's. Their characters are very realistic, Asian parents' brand.
Plot
Disaster happened -> Two strangers meeting -> They fight the calamity together -> Strangers-to-lovers trope. Boring? I saw others review on twitter and they said yes these kind of plot is boring, besides three Makoto Shinkai's movies in a row has the same general plot. BUT NOT FOR MEEE. They are similar but still different in soo many ways.
Compared to the other two (Your Name and Weathering With You), it's the female lead that help the male lead to comeback to mortal world. Suzume's ending is not an open ending, no one forget each other, just they happily ever after. The calamity still exists as long as the world is but they had each other. ROMANCE IS NOT DEAD
Conclusion
SOOOO I love this movie!!!!!!!! I'm never get bored of Makoto Shinkai's strangers-to-lovers story, even if as the older I watch them the more I can't relate with how the leads falling in love with each other in just a week or so. Guess that's a personal thing lol.
Also this review is very biased bcs I was watching at 4DX 2D studio, where my experience must be different from watching at the 2D ones. It cost twice than the usual 2D tix (count it 6 times bcs I paid for my sister and brother's tix hhhhhhH), but hella worth the price!! Highly recommend to watch in 4DX if it's available in your place for the best experience.

It's so funny when Souta and Suzume got played by Daijin, kinda reminds me of my cats ajksjk DEVILISH FELINE
When Tamaki-san yelled at Suzume at the parking lot... I totally get it. I felt that sometimes towards my cats. Her anger and worry is understandable. I too will yell and shout at my children if they run away from home and can't tell me the reasons and just say "you won't understand it".
ANDD still on Tamaki-san and Suzume's bantering, when Suzume yelling back "That's why it feels suffocating!!", damnnn was it hits so close to home.
I amazed with Suzume's courage when she was trying to hitch-hiking car. I could neverrrr trust strangers :/ (but that's fiction for you ig)

Hospital scene:

BUT👏👏 Wyrm's Bride AU!! Kinda of a 'fairytale au' that's based off the fairytale Lindworm Prince and Russian film I Am Dragon! Grima is a beeg ole snake/lindworm creature, Tathareth is someone offered up as a sacrifice to him but PLOT TWIST he doesn't kill her and romance shenanigans ensue 😩💦
Grima became creature because of Sauruman because.... of course! Wizard is petty and mean enough to curse him like that lmao, probably as some sort of punishment for being a shitty spy in Rohan once the Fellowship shows up like the gang of absolute Giga Chad Madlads that they are😔😔😔
Never put TOO much thought into this curse but I love the idea of it being a 'man at night, creature during the day' !
Snake!Grima makes lots of gator sounds! The deep, growling purrs, especially. XD
Probably has a HOARD! Some small treasures, but mostly hoards stuff like books, scrolls, etc. Prefers bookish materials over finery, lowkey 🥺
In terms of like... inner turmoil Grima wants to try and separate HIMSELF from his Wyrm self. Sort of like he does in Serpentine Whispers, where there is Grima, a man who is cunning and has the capacity to do good (but chooses not to), and then there is Wormtongue, the sly, dark ugly and unwanted aspects of his character.
So in this AU there is Grima, the man, and the Wyrm, an embodiment and manifestation of everything awful about him
Tathareth is offered as a sort of sacrifice to him because elves of Lothlorien (or off brand Lothlorien in a separate fantasy setting lmao), in a moment of infinite wisdom, think that giving a giant Wyrm that made himself at home in some caves just on their realm's borders a maiden to "wed" (or eat lmao) would appease him......also they wanna make peace with the beeg scary lizard before it becomes a nuisance 😩💦....also they could slay him themselves but for plot convenience we'll just say that elves aren't privy to slaying dragons anymore
And she is given as a sacrifice since she's no (living) family to be remembered by and she makes no effort to be social, and create social bonds, with elves soooooooo needless to say she wouldn't be missed 😩😔
She gets all done did and elaborately dressed in a gaudy bridal gown of lace and gossamer and silks, wears a veil and jewelry adorned with bells to garner attention, wears wreaths and headdress made of various red flowers, wears gaudy red makeup, and spent the previous night drinking a FUCKTON of wine so her blood tastes sweet..... and she also has a blade hidden on her, a fancy bejeweled one, that she hopes to use to slaughter her wyrm husband
A whole procession ensues, including the elves bringing various elven treasures and luxury foods, even having Tathareth riding atop an elaborately adorned horse with the intention of Grima devouring it as an offering as well. LOOKS like a wedding procession, but the somber folk hymns being sung and dour atmosphere make it feel like one for a funeral.
Tathareth has a whole internal meltdown realizing how her people never truly cared for her, thinking so little of her that they throw her away to be eaten by a wyrm. Realizes that she must be undesirable and wretched if that's the case.
Grima never devours her (or the horse) and spares her life, but accepts her as an offering for a wife because 1) pretty lady and he feels bad 🥺 2) .......actually 1 is one of the only reasons because why not
Tathareth is too scared to really do anything, let alone try to slay him as she planned, so she just tries to hide and cry her feelings out
Nighttime comes and BAM! She meets human Grima😩
She believes him to be a prisoner of the Wyrm as well, so she begins to cling to him as a companion so she feels less alone 😔
Grima just tries to distance himself from his Wyrm self because he is terrified of being reminded of his shitty behavior lmao

Juuust a little something in case you want to file it away for… something, idk what. Hc? Fic? Pondering? Or don’t do anything with it all! I know you’re already bogged down with fics/hcs and god knows what else (thank you for all that btw, doing the lord’s work, I stg).
But I think the idea of Reader being that type of person who’s convinced no one can stand them and would probably off them, when in actuality, Reader’s somehow tolerated (or better 👀) by everyone they work with is hilarious.
Imagine Reader having some sort of curt or even amicable interaction with Sevika, Ran, Ambessa, Silco, ANYBODY and they’re just inwardly monologuing about, “God, they hate me, why did I say/do that, I can’t believe I’m still alive, look at their face: pure hatred.”
Meanwhile whoever they were interacting with has nothing worse than mildly positive thoughts about you and has no idea (or maybe they do?) how scared shitless and low-key self-loathing you are, lmao
