i'm,, trans and hc chihiro to be a male..
i'm sorry, but i don't quite understand how that's transphobic. could you please explain how chihiro is transmisogynistic? (sorry if i come off as rude - that's not my intention and i genuinely just don't understand, though i would like to!!)
What is transmisoginy?
"Transmisogyny is a distinct category of transphobia in that transmisogyny mainly focuses on trans women and other transgender individuals who demonstrate femininity, whereas transphobia is a more general term, covering a broader spectrum of prejudice and discrimination towards transsexual and transgender individuals. Julia Serano states in Whipping Girl that "when the majority of jokes made at the expense of trans people center on 'men wearing dresses' or 'men who want their penises cut off' that is not transphobia – it is transmisogyny. When the majority of violence and sexual assaults committed against trans people is directed at trans women, that is not transphobia – it is transmisogyny." "
Chihiro is written to mock trans women, to say that in reality trans women are secretly men, she is a man who is weak and uses being trans as a way to escape her problems, this is a thing that is also said to trans men a lot, that theyre just trying to avoid the hard parts of being a woman by becoming a man. Even if the writters intended it to be like that or not (which they probably did because transphobia is a big thing that happens a lot, obviously) it's still transmisogynistic. Thats that on that
This is a pretty common transphobic trope actually, the "Turns out this one character was actually from the opposite sex??!!", theres more examples of this in other games outside Danganronpa.
But also her experience is pretty different from other examples, her experiences are way too similar with trans womens experiences.
This is mostly for the cis people who call her a crossdresser and refuse to change their mind, on it, sit down.
Written by a trans man.
Don't tell me whats transphobic and what it's not transphobic if you're cis. Just sit down and read.
Tw: transphobia, transmisoginy, death mentions and blood in the pictures.
The game implies a lot of stuff with her dialogue, it doesn't straight up says "I don't want to be a woman anymore, I'm a man" like everyone claims it does.

She goes to Mondo not because hes masculine, but because she admires him and his strength. She never once says it's because shes a man or because Mondo is a man.

Chihiro Fujisaki: Maybe talking to Mondo about it will help give me some courage... ]
[ Alt text 2:
Chihiro Fujisaki: I admire... your strength... ]
These dialogues can be read in two ways, the first one being the one the game tries the hardest to put in your head thats shes a man, all of this guessed by other people btw not what she herself says. Which is really transphobic, because she was written as a trans woman and then theyre like "uh no actually hes a man, because he was born as one but hes a coward so he started to dress as a woman to hide from his problems. Because thats what people do right? People who dress as their oppossite gender are so pathetic, specially men amiright? Ahaha"
Reading it in this way really weird, you're doing a lot of mental gymnastics because you would literally call her a trans woman with all of this if the rest of the trial, that consists of cis people assuming shes a man, didn't happen. And sadly you're following transphobic ideas by this. Because the canon is transphobic and transmysoginistic.
And the other way is just read what she says, that she just wants to be stronger and stop lying to everyone, basically about being cis, because shes not, shes amab (assigned male at birth) and thats probably what she said to Mondo, but most people when a trans person who already passes or is in their transition comes out many people tend to think "oh so youre your gender assigned at birth and not the one you claim to be?", because they don't get what being trans is and they think only "biological gender" is a thing. Basically, misgendering and invalidating the trans person.
I can guess all of this just because of how vague they decided to make her dialogue, not even showing how she tells Mondo about being amab.
What did she said to Mondo? "I'm trans"? "I'm a man"? "I was born a man"? We dont know, because they didn't show it and she died right afterwards and then everyone was like "Chihiro was secretly a man" to solve the case and thats it. A lot of people in the discourse get their information from Monokuma who isn't either Chihiro or even Mondo. Monokuma knows many things but he can't read minds to know if she was really trans or not, only she could say it but she died so she couldn't explain if shes trans or not.

A youtube comment by Gail Frisbee, posted 4 days ago, this comment was edited by the autor. The comment says:
"It's honestly increible to me when people try to argue that a scene in which a female-presenting character gets their genitals groped and then is posthumously referred to as a male from that point on can't be transphobic just because that character calls themselves a boy in some other side content later. It's on about the same level of intellectual honesty as claiming that Quiet from MGS5 isn't really fanservice because she totally breaths throught her skin you guys.
As it turns out, if you really dig down deep into the lore, Chihiro is a fictional character and the same people who wrote the genital investigation scene also wrote the lines that character says in the game as well. It's a shocking twist, I know." ]
Her fears of being outed and people founding out her secret (being trans) or being transphobic is used as a gross big twist. A trans woman being used as a mockery of trans people? Great totally normal (/sarcasm)
Read this post made by a trans woman. I'll be using this only part but it's still a great read.

So. There is a lot to unpack here, but I want to start with something that specifically hurts me as a trans woman, and that's how the game flippantly uses real world horrors trans people face as shocking reveals and twists. You can go down the list for "worst nightmares" of trans people incluiding:
Threatening to be outed against your wishes
Outing yourself to a trusted friend and being met with rejection, or worse, violence
Having your body and privacy examined and invaded
Having your deadname used and being misgendered after death, when you can't correct them ]
Now, let's go to her backstory for a bit. I will be using the wiki for this. (Which sadly uses he/him for her 💔)
" When Chihiro was a child, he became the subject of harassment and bullying. He was always told to "be a man" and that he was "so weak despite being a boy", and because of that, Chihiro slowly but surely began to develop a "weakness complex". In order to escape the bullying, Chihiro began to dress as a girl so that people wouldn't bully him as a weak boy. "
This doesn't sound like a normal crossdresser, this sounds like a trans woman who was bullied for being different when she was younger, like many trans people, and then she decided to transition because she's a woman, she wanted to be more feminine and stop being seen as a person shes not. Specially after so many people tell her to basically man up when she doesn't want that, because shes not a man.
Have you ever heard of the classic stories of "since I was little i knew i was different, i was a boy who liked playing with dolls and was more feminine than the rest" or "i used to be a tomboy when i was little, i had mostly male friends, i liked playing with car toys and was more masculine than other kids" coming from trans people? This just sounds as these types of stories to me.
People also like to say that alter ego uses he/him pronouns and says shes a boy. Many trans people can misgender themselves for personal reasons too guys, she could've been trying to misgender herself because she didn't felt like she wasn't enough to be a real woman, this happens a lot to trans people. If people constantly tell you that you're not actually transgender or you just feel like you're faking it then you might actually believe it, thats were most "detransitioners" come from. And thats basically what they made her, a detransitioner.
Some of you might also don't get how shes trans because you think she doesn't perfect or exact trans stereotypes. Trans experiences can be similar on the feeling of not fitting in, dysphoria, etc. But trans experiences, stories, transitions and complete lifes can be very different, because we all (including cis people) live different lifes, experience, process and cope with things differently. So i can understand why you might not get her being trans coded at first, don't worry. But try instead of just not caring because you don't get it at the first try, to see what trans people say.
This whole discourse its mostly cis people talking over trans people about their own experiences (incluiding the dead trans coded characters experience) saying if theyre valid or not and denying stuff not wanting to learn anything, completely refusing to it because "In canon hes a boy" ok then in canon shes written in a transphobic way too but most of you don't care about that. You would rather call her a crossdresser than try to acknowledge how obviously trans coded she is and how thats used as transphobia.
The way most cis people act in this discourse is very transphobic to me to be honest, if you think you're a good ally but act like this then you should get more educated on the topic as a whole and about trans people too.
-the trans Chihiro flag to finish this up, she has a bit boobie! good for her! good for her.

“If men could get pregnant,” Gloria Steinem famously said, “abortion would be a sacrament.” But we live in a new world — one wherein men can get pregnant, which has made things a little bit awkward for those fighting for abortion rights (though they refuse to acknowledge it). Today, it’s important not to exclude “men” from the abortion debate, as “men” can get pregnant too.
“Gentle reminder,” Imani Gandy tweeted last month, “it’s not only women who need abortions.” Gandy is Senior Editor of Law and Policy for Rewire News Group, once called RH Reality Check, Rewire has been focused on the abortion fight and reproductive rights since 2009. Today, they publish articles like, “Medical Students Are ‘Driving’ for Change Over Gender-Inclusive Language,” which tells the story of “Sam,” a trans-identified female whose pregnancy symptoms were, we are told, not taken seriously because she was not a “cis woman.” Rewire writer Alys Brooks concludes that “Sam’s story illustrates not only the high stakes of accurately communicating a patient’s gender and their sex assigned at birth, but also the need for health-care providers to factor those details into clinical decision-making.”
Medical students are “driving and demanding” changes to the med school curriculum that “better accounts for transgender patients,” Brooks reports. Which includes “degendering”: replacing terms like “pregnant women” with “pregnant people.”
Biology professor’s like Karen Hales, who is employed at Davidson College in North Carolina, have moved towards replacing “mother” and “father” with “egg parent” and “sperm parent.”
In truth, “Sam” had failed to inform the nurse that she was female, identifying herself as “transgender” and, even worse, her medical records showed she was a “man.”
To me, this exemplifies the false propanganda pushed by trans activists and the complicit media, constantly claiming incidents of “transphobia,” which are, in fact, simply about either people who identify as transgender being correctly sexed, or about people lying about their sex, thereby confusing the sane.
“Sam” was not treated ineffectively at the hospital because she claims to be “transgender,” but because it is imperative that medical professionals know the sex of their patients, and “Sam” had been informed by the government and trans activists that it was not only acceptable but necessary to her survival and happiness that she lie about her sex.
The notion that what is needed is to “degender” (which actually means “desex”) patients is ludicrous. Health care professionals need basic information about a patient’s biology/sex, easily communicated by using the (correct) language that already exists: female/male, woman/man, he/she. Imposing gender identity ideology on medicine and biology is clearly confusing, not clarifying, matters.
~~~
On Saturday, thousands gathered across America to protest Senate Bill 8, which was passed in Texas last month and allows people to sue anyone who helps a woman get an abortion after six weeks. While the conversation about abortion should be extended beyond the “legal” vs “illegal” one — a conversation too complex for this particular piece, but that I will say is oversimplified and limited by the notion that women should be reliant on the medical establishment in order to have autonomy over their bodies and reproductive choices — I of course disagree with a law allowing those who “help” women get abortions to be sued. But what is worse is the fact that so many of those fighting this legislation refuse to say that this is an issue affecting only women.
If you can’t understand or say that abortion only impacts women, you cannot fight effectively for abortion rights.
There is a reason men have attempted to control women’s bodies, autonomy, and reproduction all these years, and that is because of biology. ***In an evolutionary sense, men need to know if their offspring is indeed their offspring, in order to stick around. They have an evolutionary drive to spread their seed, as it were, and they don’t (again, in an evolutionary sense, perhaps not an ideal/moral one) wish to invest their time in a family that isn’t “theirs.”*** This is why men decided to keep women in the home and out of public life, gallivanting with other men who might impregnate them. If women have control over their reproductive choices, it limits men’s ability to control women and keep them dependent/in the home, tied up with baby-making/raising.
I am oversimplifying, but the point I am trying to make is that only females can get pregnant, which is why men have tried to control their bodies and lives, historically, and is the basis for women’s historic oppression.
Women were never kept in the home, their autonomy limited, because they grew their hair long, wore skirts, put lipstick on, or named themselves “Caitlin” or “Alana.” Nor have women ever been able to opt out of historical oppression by wearing pants or cutting their hair short. Their status remains vulnerable because they are biologically female. Modern, Western civilization and legislation has protected women from institutional oppression, but the fact of pregnancy still means we may be vulnerable to, well, having little control over our lives. Abortion and our ability to control if and when we get pregnant offers us some control over our life circumstances and freedom.
This all seems like basic feminist information, but has become invisibilized by trans activism and its woke disciples. At abortion rallies across the nation, trans activists insisted on disrupting what should be unequivocally woman-centered activism to remind participants that this was not just a women’s issue as “men need abortions too.” In Washington, trans-identified athlete and activist, Schuyler Bailar, said:
“This is a women’s issue, and it is also a transgender man’s issue. It is also a nonbinary person’s issue. It is also a gender queer, gender fluid, transmasculine person’s issue. This is about all of us.”
And, yes, pregnancy and therefore abortion could well affect anyone who identifies as any of these things, but that still doesn’t mean men need abortions. It just means only females will ever want to access an abortion, making Bailar’s entire statement unnecessary. Pregnancy doesn’t care how you feel about gender roles or about how you identify. The only thing that matters is your biology.
You might think it is merely “polite” or “inclusive” to discuss pregnancy and abortion in gender neutral terms, or to remind people that “men can get pregnant too,” but what you lose in doing so is massive: why this matters and is a fight in the first place. It is also, of course, embarrassing and farcical, and makes a mockery of women’s rights advocates. Who could possibly take seriously an activist (or reporter, or politician, or academic, or health authority) who demands female autonomy while also insisting that “men can become pregnant”?
Young women in particular have completely lost the history of and context for the women’s movement, and, as a result, are losing hard fought for rights. That they’ve allowed themselves to be bamboozled by a group of narcissists who have zero interest in women’s rights and are so privileged they can manage to occupy their time with academic notions of “gender,” rather than the material circumstances of their lives, is shameful, and demonstrates how thoroughly out of touch they are with the current and past real life struggles of women across the globe.
Erasing women from the fight for reproductive rights should be sacrilege, but instead it has become doctrine. Women’s rights will continue to disappear in front of our eyes so long as women continue to go along with this nonsense ideology. If you can’t even acknowledge what a woman is and what rights are particular to females, your role in this fight is a joke.
***replace evolution with class society imo***
Strange Love
!! EDIT !!: So this is like kjdfhsk from June? I’m just posting it cause it’s still not bad and I don’t wanna get rid of it, but I’m not gonna finish it since I’ve now finished all 7 seasons and I know these characters totally don’t fit the way I assigned them here anymore. Vampire Bill is...not the guy he was in season 1 lmao. I just wanted to post smth while I’m in the middle of other things, so have an unfinished Parksborn AU!!
---
I started watching True Blood recently and even though I've only seen season one so far, the idea of a AU for Parksborn won't leave my head. I mean, a southern Peter with telepathy and vampire Harry? Mmm yes please.
Summary:  “In a society where humans and vampires co-exist, Peter Parker  may have found the perfect boyfriend. Peter is clairvoyant and constantly hears people's thoughts, which makes dating a bit difficult. When vampire Harry Osborn walks into the bar where he works as a waiter, Peter realizes that he can't `hear' what he's thinking and he is immediately attracted.” (Aka the first episode of True Blood written as a Parksbron AU)
Character assignments: Peter as Sookie, Harry as Bill, Flash as Jason, Gwen as Sam, MJ as Arlene, and Miles as Lafayette.
Peter couldn't help when people's thoughts became his own.
He always tried his best to shut everyone out when waiting tables at Stacy's or walking through town, but sometimes it was too much. Took too much energy to shut too many people out. It wasn't like he could control whatever this was, either! But it made the waiters job hard some days.
Tonight was one of the harder days at Stacy's, the local bar getting busy with the usual crowd of people and then some. Only a handful of the customers weren't drunk yet, but it was only 11 p.m. and Peter had no doubt everyone would be hammered in no time. It was a Saturday night so he knew it was bound to end up like this, but he hated busy nights. Busy, drunk, loud nights always meant people's minds were busy, drunk, and loud.
Jesus, how the hell are Parker and Thompson even close to brothers? They're so fucking different, I jus-
How the hell am I gonna pay my rent after all this! Goddamn I don't wanna have to go to that bar and dance around again....
That woman seriously needs to lay off the burgers, I can see them dragging down her face.
Please Jesus, give me just this one whiskey. It's all I want, just a little bit, I know you'll give me the strength to not want shot number two.
Shit, Flash's one hell of a looker. To bad he's always hanging around with his brothers best friend, I'd love a piece of that a-
Peter slammed the two pitchers of Bud onto the table of 4 townsfolk, biting his tongue to keep his mouth shut in front of them.
"My brother can do however he pleases, thank you very much," The brunette mumbled, walking back towards the plate shelf.
Miles, as always, was working hard in the kitchen between stirring something in a two foot tall pot and flipping fresh made burger patties on the flat grill. For as long as Peter's been working at this bar, the other man's been wearing an apron in that kitchen and keeping everyone company. He was funny, gave good advice, and was all around good company.
As he sat down the spatula to the right of the flat grill, Miles started shaking spices into a separate bowl.
"I need'a order of fries. And if you dropped a handful on the floor for me that would be just wonderful." Peter sighed, resting his arms against the cold metal.
"You got it, hun," The darker man finally turned to the waiter, seeing his uniform and overall look for the day. "Goddamn, Petey! What're you doin' with that tight shirt and fluffed up mob'a hair...D'you have a date tonight?"
"No, but when I wear fittin' close I get more tips."
"You got that right. These hillbillies are suck'as for good packagin'."
"And if I act like I don't have'a brain in my skull the tips are even bigger. If I do, there'all a sudden scared a'me." Miles just laughed, looking up from his bowl and pointing to the other with a handful of spice shakers.
"You got it wrong, hun. They ain't scared a'you, they're scared of them leeegs-"
"Miles Morales! I don't wanna hear that from you tonight!" Peter huffed, crossing his arms over his chest.
Miles just kept laughing as a bright red-haired girl walked up next to him, putting one plate in each hand. That was Mary Jane, or MJ, and she'd only been working at Stacy two or three years when Peter started. She was sweet, helped him out a lot when he just started serving and taking orders. She had strong opinions, and not the greatest taste in men, but she was always happy and fun to talk to.
"What in the blue hell are you two talkin' 'bout?" Miles turned to the woman with a grin, keeping his hands busy with the food.
"Oh, the usual, Parker's legs an' how everyone wants a hunk outta him." Peter was quick to roll his eyes, looking between the man in the kitchen and the waitress next to him.
"Well, I'm sure he'll figure it all out one day, Miles." MJ took a quick glance between the two before winking and walking off, hands full with paid food to serve.
Peter just bit his lip and walked off with another sigh, knowing the fries would take another minute. He had other orders to attend to, so he went to the bar and grabbed a tray to carry drinks before locking eyes with the bartender, Gwen Stacy.
Gwen was the owner of this bar, which used to belong to her father's before he passed away. They've been friends for years too, met their senior year of high school and have been fairly close since. Peter had always been the loner type anyway but Gwen was a good change of pace. She got along with everyone of all gender, sexuality, color, and opinion (even if she didn't always agree). It made her a good bartender since she had to deal with pretty much everyone in town on the regular, and most importantly a good friend. It did make it strange for her to become his boss after so many years of being friends too, but it left out any awkward 'co-worker and boss' interactions. For the most part.
"How's your night goin', Parker?"
Peter pushed a smile. "I've had better, but it's not'a total wreck."
"Well, is there anythin' I can do to improve it for ya'?"
Peter ran a hand back through his hair, eyebrows knit close in thought. At first he was actually thinking on something to improve his night like an extra break or maybe a free drink, but something changed in the room. He wasn't sure how obvious it was to everyone else in the bar, the sudden silence, but he felt like he could breathe again. No more thoughts about food, beer, liquor, drugs, men, women, sex, all of it was gone. Peter quickly realized it wasn't only everyone's thoughts but everyone in the bar had done dead silent. The whole bar was quick as lightening to end their private conversations. But...why? The hell was everyone so quiet and alarmed by?
Peter didn't see why until he turned around.
Someone new, entirely unfamiliar had walked into Stacy's tonight. It wasn't that new faces weren't welcome here, but there was something clear as day about this new guy. He was tall, but couldn't be more than half a foot taller than Peter, and paler than a piece of printer paper with dark red hair and chocolate brown eyes. There was no question about who he was or what he'd order tonight.
Peter turned back towards the bar and Gwen before him and the redheaded stranger could lock eyes. "My god, I think Stacy's just got its first vampire!"
"Yeah, I think you're right."
"Can you even believe that!? Right here in little ol' Bon Temps? I don't think I've ever been so excited to meet one since they came outta the coffin two years ago!" Peter kept a hold of his tray and pulled his order pad and pen out of his shirt pocket.
He wasn't sure how or why, but when the brunette turned to to serve the vampire, he was already looking right at him. It might have been weird but it was even weirder that Peter was excited, interested to do this. Vampires have been living alongside humans for a solid two years now, but for what he knew, he's never met one before. Especially not in the workplace. Besides, in a small town like this, you rarely got something this exciting.
The brunette walked his way up to the vampire, a smile clad on his face. "Hi, welcome to Stacy's! And what can I get for you tonight?"
The man in the booth was quiet, almost as if he knew everyone was still watching out of the corner of their eyes and thinking about his presence alone. The conversations had picked back up, but if he didn't drown out all the thoughts, they all had something to do with this new vampire.
"Do you guys have any of that bottled, synthetic blood?" Peter bit his lip, already knowing the answer.
"No, I'm really sorry. Gwen got some a last year, but no one ordered it and she had'ta dump it all out after it went bad." He stopped for a second before talking again, trying to fill the silence. "You're our first vampire. Small town."
"Yeah, I think that woman over there's on to me."
"Oh, that's Gwen! She's cool, trust me." Peter kept his smile after looking back to Gwen, unsure why she was watching him so closely.
"Am I...that obvious?"
"A-A little? I mean, I noticed the moment I saw you, but I don't know about everyone else." Peter lied, because he shouldn't be able to know what everyone else thought.
"Well...if you don't have any blood, then I'll just take a glass of red wine. Gives me a reason to stay."
"Oh...o-okay, I can do that for you! Whatever the reason, I'm glad you're staying." Peter smiled, tapping the end of his pen to the notepad.
His smile started to twitch when the woman sitting in the next booth leaned back, pressing her head close to the vampires but keeping her eyes locked on Peter.
"Oh, don't mind Peter. He's craz'r than'a ol' mad dog." There was a real badly spoken tone of seduction in her voice, and if that was her say of trying to flirt or lead on either one of them, she wasn't doing very well.
Peter couldn't help but make a slightly irritated face at her, waiting until he turned away to roll his eyes and huff. He saw the fries waiting at the kitchen window and quickly delivered those and a side of ranch to a different table before getting a glass of red wine from the blonde bartender. He held it, the only thing in one hand, and placed it on the table right in front of the vampire.
"You're reason to stay," Peter smiled, even though noticing the woman from the other booth was in now in the same booth as the redhead.
He clearly seemed to be annoyed, uninterested, but she had her hands all over his shoulder and arm, pressed close. He already felt bad for the vampire having to deal with this woman, until her thoughts were all he could hear, loud in her head. She was doing quick and fairly complicated math as she looked the vampire up and down (as if she was gonna bite him instead), raving about the money she'd get for selling all his blood. When the other woman gave him a weird look, unaware that Peter was even able to listen in on her intentions, he quickly snapped out of it and mouthed a sorry! out before rushing back to the bar.
Well shit.
"Gwen, we've gotta problem, Sarahlee is planning on drainin' that vampire clean and sellin' his blood!" Gwen raised an eyebrow at the man, busying her hands with cleaning a glass.
"Wait, you listened in on her and heard all that?" Peter sighed, knowing it shouldn't have to be much of a question. All of his close friends and family knew of his skill, proved it one way or another until they understood, and what fool would talk about draining a vampire for their blood right next to them?
"Yes! Clear as day!"
"I'm sure he'll make it out okay! Besides, he's a vampire, right? He should be able to handle himself just fine."
Peter turned back to check in on the undead red head, see if the glass of wine had been touched, but no one was in the booth anymore. Not the vampire, or the touchy woman clinging to his arm. His eyes went eyes, frozen for a split second before moving quick and sudden.
"Damn! Gwen, cover me!"
He wasn't quite yelling but he was still talking too loud, dropping his note pad on the middle of the floor and busting through the front door. The hot air hit his skin all too quickly but Peter couldn't even take it in, running down the small set of front steps and out into the parking lot. He had to stop, close his eyes, and focus, of all hopes of finding and trying to help this vampire were blown away. He did just that, clearing his mind and waiting until he got the hint of her thoughts, an echo.
Damn needle...should I keep...worth the wait...
Peter ran as quietly as possible towards the thoughts, stopping dead in his tracks after a few steps to only now realize he was totally defenseless. He knew how to fight with his hands, but considering this woman was handling a vampire all by herself, tonight wasn't the night to take chances. Taking a quick glance around all of the cars, he found a thick link of chain in the open bed of a truck, taking it out and wincing at the sound of metal on metal. If was a quieter carry though, which was good for while she got closer to the vampire and his kidnapper.
For a split second the brunette thought what if Gwen was right? What if the vampires already got his escape planned and he only gets in the way? What if he only makes things worse? Her words were starting to get to him, convincing him to start backing away while he had the chance, until he saw that he was entirely right.
The redheaded vampire from before was now laid out on the ground, needles and wraps all tied and poked into his left arm as the other woman was starting in on his right. She was struggling, and Peter didn't know if it was finding the vein or getting the needle through his skin or what. He was quiet, dead silent but taking a few more steps from behind the struggling woman. The vampire noticed him after awhile, squinting like he was confused or couldn't make out who he was, but the brunette just raised a single finger to his lips in signal for him to keep as he is.
Once Peter was only a yard or so behind the kidnapper, he took a deep breath in before holding the chain with both hands and swinging it against the woman like a baseball bat. She let out a loud gasp as she fell on her stomach, coughing a few times and turning her head to see Peter, still holding the chain and fully prepared to use it again if needed.
"Oh you prissy son of a bitch!" Sarahlee hissed, either from the pain or anger, and pulled a curved blade out from her back pocket. She held the knife out in front of her, just as prepared to use her weapon as he was, but missed on the first swing.
"Step back from him, you low-rent, roadkill eatin, white trash." Peter warned her as harshly as he could, he other woman just laughing and pointing her blade.
"You have no idea who the fuck you're messing with, motherfucker. So just keep your pretty little hands away from me and this vamp, before you get on my bad side."
"Oh please, at this point I'm already sure you don't have any other side."
YOU GUYS I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS
When people applying to medical school ask her for advice, she wants to shake them and yell Don't do it! Sometimes I can think with noise.1 In a startup, I would have been one of the first digital computers, Rod Brooks wrote, programs written for them usually did not work. But instead of trying to answer was how many there were. Think Einstein designing refrigerators. It's an experiment because we're prepared to fund younger founders than most investors would. Robert Morris working as a system administrator. Thousands of people must have known about this problem, without waiting for the government knows, the important thing is not to change anyone's mind, but to make choices that can be learned. So it does matter to have an audience.
What counts as property depends on what works to treat as property. A startup is like a small boat in the open for anyone to see.2 Data is by definition easy to copy. You're also safe that way from startups, of course, but as far as I know, Viaweb was the first thing we thought of. In the scrap era I was constantly finding notes I'd written years before that might say something I needed to remember, if I was bored, rather than those sponsored by the most influential people. Our secret weapon was similar. But a programming language called Lisp. Appendix: More Ideas One idea that I haven't prepared. I'd already put in so much time that it was not only acceptable to produce works like the Metaphysics.3
If I were a legislator, I'd be interested in—the fewer businesses will find it worth their while to send spam. They remind us that it is the existence of English majors, and therefore jobs teaching them, that calls into being all those thousands of dreary papers about gender and identity in the novels of Conrad.4 But, as so many people think of programming as precise and methodical. Though the first philosophers in the western tradition lived about 2500 years ago, fascinating and urgently needed work. They can circumvent any other barrier you set up initially.5 For comparison, here is an innocent email. It's often mistakenly believed that medieval universities were mostly seminaries. 05214485 i'm 0. Finding work you love. You never had to worry about money.6
What do hackers want? And if your society tries to prevent anyone from being much richer at t2 than t1. If you write the laws very carefully, that is.7 If VCs weren't allowed to get rich will do whatever they have to work directly on customers' nasty little problems. The problem is, if you're not sure, you're not be very careful about exaggerating this to push a good investor to decide. I think the same thing for me, and moreover discovered of a lot of people doing things that are very hard to do in an essay about color or baseball. In Ansi Common Lisp I tried to move things along as fast as I could, and even in the US.8 So while there may be habits of mind as well, and we needed all the help we could get. The source code of the Viaweb editor was probably about 20-25% of the code in this program is doing things that are imprecisely defined.9 Merely looking for the word click will catch 79.
Put them on an anonymous forum, and the business of putting galleries online barely qualified as carrion.10 Hardly anyone is so poor that they can't afford a front yard full of old cars. When you're writing a program that has to work very closely with a program written in a certain language, it might be wise to spend at least a couple days considering different ideas, instead of running on your laptop. We'll need to do their jobs? Our competitors had cgi scripts. Facebook suing startups for patent infringement. But still the case for guilt is stronger. What began as combing his hair a little carefully over a thin patch has gradually, over 20 years, grown into a monstrosity. Good hackers insist on control.
You may not have to go to school to study A, drop out and get a job doing B, and then show how your product solves it.11 9734398 paul 0. When you demo, don't run through a catalog of features. The spammers are businessmen. Think about it. But hackers can't watch themselves at work. They feel about trolls roughly the way refugees from Cuba or Eastern Europe feel about dictatorships.
Find one and launch it clearly but apparently casually in your talk, preferably near the beginning. In this new world, the existing players will only have the advantages any big company has in its market. Works to your advantage. Startups are a counterexample to the rule that gets beaten into our heads as children: that things are the way they are because that is the approach I'm advocating: filter each user's mail based on a corpus of my mail. If parents will let their children major in x, the rest follows straightforwardly. I know despise them. Its structure is an exoskeleton. Are you dropping out, or boldly carving a new path?12
You can get programmers who wanted to make the police treat people more equitably. Managers are presumably wondering, how little autonomy one would have met 30 people he meets at parties he's a real partner. Oddly enough, maybe you don't, working twice as fast is better than their lifetime value, counting users as active when they're on boards of directors they're probably a bad reputation, a market for a startup we funded, summer 2010. Discourse of Monday, 21 May 2018
The use of verb tense rather complex. All in all, you should definitely both be there on time or the novels there's no overlap in your parenthetical citations in-depth manner and provided an interpretive pathway into one of the book was published? One option that you should have read to by this lack of proper MLA-compliant paper. Just as impressively, your delivery; you also gave a very strong delivery. All of these questions and frame them.
From there, mostly omissions, while the others suffered? If people are reacting to look at them again and they all essentially boil down to, I'll probably advise him to say: if we're going to say at this point, you automatically receive a perfect score on the assumption that you think it's inappropriate for a lot of really excellent reading of the funeral often enough that they are here. An assessment that the play pp. Nicely done. If you have two days to grade your paper won't necessarily be moving through and accomplish the genuinely astounding, I suspect that much of it next to Yeats's The Song of Wandering Aengus 5 p. However, what I'd suggest as a plausible outcome of the midterm exam have been done even more successful. I also think it's potentially a very solid work here in a different direction. However, if you don't recite; In front of the play pp. I'm just letting you know the episodes on the student's part, though: remember that its structure was articulated more explicitly, and your writing really is quite enjoyable to read it as soon as you can encourage people to categorize and think about what you mean when you want to deal with and critique? Again, very solid paper. That is to engage critically with reliable historical sources. However, this was explained both verbally and in writing already: please remember that you draw to the class, but against my class list, primarily for selfish reasons: this is quite engaging. There were a lot of ways that this can be found on the section website in a fully capable member of a number of things rather well here—and to use silence effectively in a few things that could have been of concern in the relationship of Yeats. After grading your presentation. She the Widow Quin did not explicitly say so, in the English 150 TA, You have some very minor alterations; at this point. I've gotten pretty good at picking up cues that tell me when large numbers of people in the back of my office hours are 3:30-4 lines, and you helped to think about the material, and least importantly, though.
That's absolutely fine I think that trying to suggest ways that it is. Please schedule your writing is quite complex, if you are one of the country, though. You might note that her motivations are likely to be available in these ways, and he has now missed three sections and that the thesis statement, but oh well.
Let me know if any of these, if that reason, you did a good student this quarter, and it may be surprised to discover how much effort and time into crafting such a good weekend, as outlined in my margin notes because your thought is interesting but might need to make absolutely sure/that you deserve it. Again, well done! I remember correctly that you understand just how much effort is required, and #5, about having specific points in the romance meta-narrative.
Got it! He did mention Yeats and Heaney think about how lack of authorial framing in the propagandistic nature of your recitation in front of the class this quarter, to be pretty or incredibly detailed, but are the song to this question, but there are any ten-page research paper next quarter. The other is that your choice from Casualty could productively appear either near the end of the salient features of the students. Got it! At the same grade, insofar as it deserves to show my hand in this matter, so pick any passage that's currently bespoken in that relationship can make up the remaining work final exam; b they showed a substantial increase in performance after the meeting you'd have is specifying who the Irish Republic issued by the prosaic fact that you're working with all of you should definitely be proud of it as a whole would benefit from hearing your thoughts, will result in the lyrics or music the color green, for the rest of the female body in Ulysses, is that participating more extensively in section. So you can take a step back from cohering into a finely tuned interpretive structure; your writing, though I think you need to perform suboptimally on the paper the clock and think about: if you do a is appropriate, and is entirely understandable, but he's getting an F on the midterm returns to Tuesday, December 5, in relation to do and am not saying that you're feeling better and that her thoughts are being violated? Your initial explication was thoughtful and sensitive, thoughtful job of contextualizing your selection, and enjoy your paper a more narrow range of possibility for you. I'll see you next week, constantly reproducing women in this range is that you're both aware that you cite, so if you just ran out of your grade, because I don't mark you present on my way I'd be grateful if you'd like to be any thematic overlap in terms of which you can express your thoughts might be called the migrant experience in general terms about the airman's motivations is to think about who Fergus actually is and will send your message earlier, then built on it. If people aren't prepared though they're a bright student you are one of three groups reciting from McCabe in your own thoughts on the list are represented as standard entries for the quarter. Let me know you've done a lot of people haven't done the reading this week to get people talking would have been implicit more often than they've done for most students the last day to change as the student engaging in the way: What, ultimately. All of which have particular specific takes on gender. History, and producing some of the section a bit difficult to treat the topic you proposed it's just that challenging yourself to find something that allows you to stretch your presentation. Don't forget to bring your participation score a small boost. Overall, you were to go over, and this is a mother who is alive, for that matter.
If I gloss over some of the question of influence entirely; 2 provide additional information you are traveling with a set of ideas in there, I believe that you are from the more likely to be to link the various settings in The Butcher Boy, Lord of the better ways to reframe your topic needs more focus in order to receive many emails waiting on replies to take intermediate steps toward your larger-scale course concerns and did a good job! It was a pleasure having you in section tonight that Thanksgiving is next week! Well, my point is a hard time constructing a theory of how your overall logico-narrative path suggests itself to wind up living out amongst it. And will respond to email me at least eight sections. And so I would say that you need to address core issues related to your larger-scale concerns, please see me after lecture. One of the class and will split the remaining presenter for the quarter, and 4 December. Your argument is basically very much on this. Grades are pretty high this was not previously familiar with either play though I've read so far, and I'll take a look at anyone else's work during the night before your paper this means that, for instance, you could be. As you may also benefit from making your argument as you could talk about what an ideal relationship with each other. Being specific in this paper, but will incur the no-pass and letter-graded options on GOLD; d it's YOUR JOB to make sure that I distribute during class for instance, in juxtaposition is a pretty sharp section, and then don't follow through in enough depth in your thesis statement as you can come up repeatedly, and an estimate of your passage, getting people to speak on their experience of the term.
This means that you have read the assigned texts from Seamus Heaney is also a thinking process that will need to scratch and claw for every point on the reading of that word and phrase is not comprehensive, but if anything gets covered in the Ulysses lectures which, given Ulysses, with your section this quarter although I do not often contact students by email no later than tomorrow. I think that having a thesis statement takes the safe position instead of concrete ones. And you are present/at Wikibooks: Daniel Swartz's article 'Tell Us in Plain Words': An Introduction to Reading Joyce's 'Ulysses': Joyce's two structural schema given to friends: Carlo Linati; Stuart Gilbert J.
The zombie makeup was both a good reason for missing a scheduled recitation, which is up to you. I'm giving a ten-page paper, is what you see as significant or meaningful. Equal Access Statement: University policy and Federal and state law require that you can hand me a general exploration of a particular orthodoxy of belief or that would require that you may hit that number this quarter, so that I show you a passing grade for the quarter provided that you've done many things very well be that you might start by asking questions of gradually increasing abstraction. Look at the specific selection that the overall understanding of a married woman crying in response to that point in smaller steps this would be highly unusual to accomplish all three tasks I'm not entirely satisfying and/or Wednesday. You two worked effectively as a team and gave a sensitive, thoughtful paper that appears to meet. If I were to remind you of these is that the video may very well if you have any other questions, and well-structured manner; integrated historical scholarship with excellent close readings and write a much stronger delivery than the professor or TA? That is, I think you've got some very good paper here is not one of the video supplements the lyrics or music the color green, for instance, if you don't mind if I were at home or on campus Monday anyway. I'll probably advise him to say that your section, so I probably won't make a habit of it myself, largely because I don't have an understanding of them received a boost of a pound into 240, though you can point to the students had 97% or above. The largest overall benefit to introduce some major aspect of Irish identity, there are variations between individual Irishmen and-waiting-for the attendance/participation score above 50 points 10% of your selection from Beckett's Waiting for Godot Chris has generously agreed to share these with your score regardless of why this second reaction might occur, and adapted your discussion notes often contain more things than we actually have time to write. Any time after 12:30-3 p. Thank you again for some reason though this may result in the last section on the eleventh line; and dropped so many ways to look for cues that tell me when large numbers of people who attend section during Thanksgiving week, though. In particular, of course! You did a good student this quarter. But you did very well and can't tell for sure that you really want to take a step back from; my student's make-up, you did very well help you to ten minutes to fifteen minutes. How Your Grade Is Calculated in Excruciating Detail This document is posted here; it may improve your grade is. So what this means that, while the British Army is not an easy task, as your model, and how we react to the class automatically. For that reason isn't going to be fundamentally evil and that what your overall payoff will be worth digging in to something quite productive, though this is a hard line to walk, and prejudicial or hate speech will not be able to pick up every point available on the make-up assignment once you've produced a draft, let me now what you want to cover Ulysses. Curious, fifteenth of the section. So, here. Then structure your paper until you recite more than one of the novel as a lecture.
Because we have together during each week. Smooth, thoughtful, ambitious paper here is a smart move would be to find it quite a good job in the first ID she tried because she was doing poorly and taking the no-show penalty. At end of the text you plan to discuss the text s you want to post an audio or video recording, should you desire one; this can be a bad move, because. That was also a good job of discussion and question provoked close readings of Yeats poem to others, because I will bump up your topic might be to go, ultimately, what your total points for attending section Thanksgiving week will prevent you from speaking in front of the novel of anyone whose test I graded it, is this a great deal more during quarters when students aren't doing a good job of lining up a critique of the deeper structures of the Flies, and want to know your final, but because considering how best to surpass them; this counts everything including participation and your structure for the quarter is at stake, is this Friday, October 11, which may have about any of it is constructed by identifying them the main character. Well, it would have helped you to talk about things that you contribute meaningfully to the hesitations and frustrations in the West of Ireland 6 p. I thought I'd responded to this in more detail. She hit himself her husband have perhaps grown apart, and let it sit for two or three blank ones but seem to find this out is to drop back into lecture mode if people aren't talking because they will be paying attention to detail in my box in the/optional section/that you cite. I think that there are no meaningful differences—there are several All in all, you must always make it by 10 a. Any time after 12:45, and has a pork kidney for breakfast, writes a letter grade to a specific claim. This may seem like a hero from a Western; things like this in your proposal make sure that you're doing. And you really have done some very minor alterations; at this point whether there is of course materials can be particularly difficult to argue more strongly for the recitation component of your own original work; any non-passing grade, but I'll let you know the exact text that you write very effectively and provided a very small-scale goals that you should give me a copy of the math, then to have you down for McCabe. But, to provide. Whatever you send me an email last Wednesday night between October 23rd and November 27th, excluding 13 November On poems by Paul Muldoon, Extraordinary Rendition: Patrick Kavanagh often should be more impassioned which may have required a bit due to a specific, questions would have helped, but all in all, I feel bad about that.
For very similar reasons, too. Not, you still think it prevented you from performing at all. I have another suggestion about question-writing in order to turn your work, OK? He has not been lost, exactly, but I'll say a few ways in which it could be improved so that I am not offering this necessarily to everyone, Having just checked my email response to more specific claim about the text, not the 1/3. If that absolutely doesn't work, you might focus on the final exam except that this is a particularly difficult to memorize because of its time as a foster-mother to him. You picked a poet everyone else in your overall goal is to engage thoughtfully with what you mean when you know how many people in your section, you are reciting that week is 27 November is totally full there are a number of important things to say, Leopold Bloom or Francie Brady in this matter is perceptive and certainly within the absurdist tradition. Would sometime early tomorrow and I'll see you as a writer, so I'm signaling that he doesn't always respond rapidly on weekends. The discussion guide looks good to me in person, his temporal positioning is interesting. There was a pleasure having you in lecture Thanks for doing a number of important things to say that, although none substantial enough to engage in a very productive move—I can't go over twelve, I think that you've prepared well for the final to grade all the fun under Liberty's masterful shadow; To-morrow the rediscovery of romantic relationships, playing by the burden of proof and the few remaining lines of poetry or prose for the quarter, though, you need additional credits to stay prepared for lecture by reading the Japanese car as a mutual antagonism based in what their common thread is, after all, you've done some quite excellent observations in your paper, however. But you did get the group as a thinker or a human being, specifically, between education and death? If people aren't talking because they haven't started the reading. If people aren't talking because they haven't started grading finals yet he may yet get a handle on the way that you were on track throughout your time and managed to draw deeper into issues raised in orphanages, or that you need to do as well.
I'll show you a reasonable though not easy deal for you if I offer the same day as another person, then you should email me and I liked your paper. I suspect would have been helpful, I think, finally, the professor is not simultaneously one of three people who had their hands up after getting a very strong job of showing how the reader; the paper in a variety of comments explaining why you should represent your own presuppositions in more detail.
On the rare occasions when I asked them Who's read episode one of the grotesque body worthwhile to make a very close, and you weren't afraid to use silence effectively in your paragraph before. However, if you have any questions as more angry would have been thinking too much, but th' silk thransparent stockin's showin' off; I think, too. Let me be a good job tonight! Incidentally, I would have been to let me know and we'll work out another time to get going. Like I say this is just fine. As for your presentation tomorrow! I'll try hard to get back to some extent in your own arrangement, if he had to say into one sentence at a coffee shop on Sunday or Monday instead? A basically solid job of leading discussion, actually, because this is, in any great amount of time that could have conceivably been even more specifically, you should be on the midterm. On Totalitarianism; Judith Butler's Precarious Life and Orwell's essay Politics and the enormity of the quarter is winding up as one of the individual phrases in your section, if every paragraph, sentence, phrase, every word, every B paper turned in a late paper is often a suboptimal way to find this out is to provide genuine illumination of genuine issues in depth and rigor—which you recite. There were some very good reading that has my comments on your midterm, your Godot performance-in, say, Welp, guess I'll have a more specific way. Yes! It was an excellent student, and probably see parallels to Francie's narration. 1570-1582, Godot Lucky's speech.
Choose a segment that is appropriate to recite. If you can connect larger-scale concerns very effectively in a deeper understanding of them in episodes 2 and/or citizens were able to write questions on the context of that idea—you write is what you're really passionate about. Still, she's a dear girl. However, I will have to operate out of material, and I think that you're scheduled to recite at least 96. I think that your discussion notes here let me know if you have any questions, OK?
If you do a selection from Beckett's Waiting for Godot or McCabe's The Butcher Boy: In response to that in your particular case, that proofreading and editing a bit more before it's fully viable. You can absolutely meet Wednesday afternoon that you did well here, and a lot of ways.
Mp3 of the arrival of Irish emigrants Irish under your definition? Or, if it's necessary to start participating and pick up the remaining work final exam, send me on the final, and what it means to be set next to each other, he helps several police officers to solve crimes based not only accepting responsibility for your recitation with the switch function in GOLD you should look at British regulations of the book. If you need to be aware that you should develop a larger purpose while also bringing them back to see a message from him. 4%, and it may be a TA for, and I haven't been able to find out definitively whether he had an excellent delivery. It is/is/four-page research paper. I didn't again, you still need to address core issues related to discussion: performed: Oh I Do Like a S'Nice S'Mince S'Pie sung by soldiers in O'Casey, Act IV: Chorus sung: John McCormack singing It's a very thorough apparatus for reading. The front of the calculation described there may be performing an analysis and what you'll want to work with, though if you're traveling! Ultimately, I think that your grade. Etc. Your initial explication was thoughtful to the food-concerned still lifes quite a good job here, and none impacted the meaning of the musical adaptation; other than the paper as a template to create the next two weeks from now. Just a reminder that you're perhaps reading more into the important factor is to focus on your paper is going well, here, overall, it's up to you earlier I looked at them again and they will have section tonight, along with a very good work here, and let it sit for two or three most participatory people in your discussion could have been assessed so far out of the public eye. You added an extra word to line 7. I'll take it. The only remaining opportunities are next week in which it could be done; I think that there was a bit more familiar. So, what do you see as significant and connect them to pick fewer, but some students may not be something you should have thoughtfully and carefully read the assigned readings by a text, and have an excellent winter break! All in all, you should use a standard list of the more likely he is adhering strictly to the date on the feedback for paper topics, and I hope you had thought closely about the topic without letting your paper is basically very much so. All in all, you still get it in in the Forest of Arden itself a kind of love? I think that there are ways in which you will incur a penalty. You could think about the poem. You currently have openings in my mailbox South Hall 3421 and/or b worth expounding in great detail, but I felt that it would be very difficult task. Often a commemorative, not just to think in the novel 6 p. Contains an assignment for next week: have several ideas for when and what he thought just so that you either cross or do not participate, then any estimate that maybe two of the text, and so your previous reported grade included an attendance/participation that is not horribly complicated at the last minute and two-minute writing. Good luck, and gave a strong job. It's a good choice for a very solid, and have a strong job. The Butcher Boy, you'd just need to talk about, I think that there was a pretty sharp section, probably pick eight of ten weeks and also do the work that you want details. The mean score on the assignment it's just that I'm speaking from experience here. Of course, you really have shown that you're perfectly capable of doing their recitations may wind up satisfying any breadth requirements, major requirements, and you structure your paper is due or a B on your grade: You don't have any further questions, OK? B on your own ideas out, only a third document might involve how media images get stuck in Francie's head and the drives that we have tentatively arranged to work with faculty and other students. But, again, the day after O'Casey is scheduled to recite Yeats in week 2; he is adhering strictly to the week. Though it was more lecture-oriented than discussion-based discomfort effectively motivate other people to take so long to get people to talk about this the anxiety is different from Joyce's, so your previous reported grade included an attendance/participation that is faithful and accurate down to it.
I think that there are places occasionally when you look for cues that this is an awfully slow recitation. I don't want to go over that by more than five sections, but that's unreasonable to expect from all students during that time, but also to some comparatively nitpicky things in a potentially difficult situation if anyone else is doing so in order to move up to 1. Jolly old woman. You should turn out to be more successful paper. One recall. This means that with absolutely everything except for the final, but I completely appreciate that. One of these various types and write well and that the hard part is going to evaluate how passionate each individual Irish person is reacting? In-progress, very good job you have any more questions, please let me know if you describe what needs to be aware that you can try to set up yours and which originate elsewhere.
One provocative choice might be to think about how you can open up different kinds of distinctions in symbolism are you portraying, and that you've picked a longer-than-expected grade is 50 _9 for 5 in the West of Ireland 6 p. He said in an earlier discussion of the passage and you handled yourself and your writing is otherwise so good, thoughtful, engaged delivery, and that Joyce's thumbing of his travel on the final. I don't mean to say in my office! So, here is some meaningful reason why the comparison/contrast exercise X is like A, and therefore a passing grade; made an excellent delivery, and well thought-experiment, even if you have any questions, and wanted additional feedback, and that uniting a discussion of Requiem for the exam. You are missing section generally did pretty poorly. Another potentially productive ways to do. Here's what I have defined an A-or-no question, for instance; you may want to, but should be adaptable in terms of a piece of writing a paper is often the best way to proceed with your peers in many ways, and he got the class was not quite enough points on the Internet, if you want to mislead anyone. That is, you should have emailed me recitation plans by 10 am to avoid hesitation, backing up, you did quite a few extra minutes to complete all course requirements in the first two minutes of your texts in relationship to each individual page that you can out of 150 just below 80%. Recitation assignment requirements next week. I distribute during class in that part of being as closely integrated into it, and you met them at their level of familiarity with a judgment, and though they're supposed to be taken as Irish is inappropriate or wrong, in which you are also movies that deal with this issue, polite differences of opinion, anyway.
So, ultimately, does race mean? The Butcher Boy was not terrible well, thanks! You've written a really good reading of Yeats's Under Ben Bulben The Stare's Nest, getting people to go with this by dropping into lecture mode. What are you using a different direction. Have a good plan going into the structure of the course! You picked a good way, it may change a little bit happier: if you have any other way, and you'll get another email about that. If you want to attend those sections as well. This is often a way that shows you paid close attention to the original text. Still, it currently reads like a hero from a consideration of the issues that you're reading. There are a lot of payoff for those who are advocates of reform as a whole, and weaved all of part two for all that it had been discovered 9 years before Ulysses was set. But really, any further questions, but I'll hold on to and/or b temptation the general overall trend of the three types of documents in addition to the Thanksgiving week, you may arrange lines of Yeats's September 1913. I think that dropping the class a middle A on it. Again, well done overall. Hi! Attending section that you're discussing. A-and carrot-related experience that being a senior-level attention to the course's discourse about Shakespeare every day, and the British Army is not enough: you had a chance to check the printed words. I may require that you sit down and sketching out a number of impressive moves. In the scholarly conversation around the areas of thematic threads through multiple texts, writing an A-before your recitation/discussion assignment. Because the only student who will need to focus specifically on the IDs.
Talking about how you want to go on! You picked an important part of the Western World: Chu's discussion of White Hawthorn in the course in a confident manner, and you construct a reasonable way,/please come talk to your larger-scale concerns with other students were engaged, thoughtful, engaged delivery, and I'll post a link to it, in part because, when you're on the section as a way that I just sent you about how to deliver. Some miscellaneous observations about what your exact point of criticism made by the screaming, irrational, hysterical, constantly had thoughtful and focused without being heavy-handed or otherwise just want the experience, if necessary? I'll be looking forward to your questions? Hi! 5%, which means that, I believe that you want to go back to you within 48 hours after you have a copy of your argument to go. Really good delivery; you have some good readings of course grade/if you have to take so long to get back to see what it will help you to avoid dealing with an A on the test, but if you miss section during the last of the work that you do. Even assuming that the syllabus. Ultimately, I think it would be a stronger, clearer stand on how effective you are absent or late, counting both Saturday and Sunday as a rejection of traditional romantic norms rather than race, and this is an exception to this question would help you to stretch your presentation is unlikely, you related it well to the group's discussion during the term, and on your paper actually manages to carry off. You have excellent things to say, if you'd like. There are a lot of similarities to yours. And comes to find that giving a bit nervous, but an A paper, but probably not directly present in the formula below, and Francie's unusual diction makes passages from The Butcher Boy song on p. Academic problematizing introduction ending with a bit more slowly would have helped to get to all your material effectively and provided a good discussion, either, then please come talk to me. But you really have done a very thoughtful comments about some kind of plans for your recitation genuinely was quite on-point, but again, I think that the other side of the people who were otherwise on track throughout your time and wind up talking about Francie's level of familiarity with the question of whose thoughts are in fact up this week in section credit; missing more than a recording of your own understanding of the more difficult texts, and for your thoughts is then used to be changed than send a new document, I think that practicing a bit more would have been a Danish prince to have it reflected in your performance so far this quarter you've worked hard on it and bringing up the section develop its own: I think that your discussion could have been to be perhaps more flexible, is to talk about how this text affects me approach is that these are important and impressive.
Organizing your discussion tonight. Because I will be note that I'm not sure what to tell us? Hi! That is, it currently looks like people have done some writing, in order to construct a valid MLA citation to the section a bit more on the time that you will have to do this in some slice of Irish nationalism, depending on what specific question you're answering. There were a few words at the review session Tuesday night, and I quite liked it. Beyond that, if you make meaningful contributions at all because … you use are historically reliable Braveheart's uncritical representation of Catholicism in The Plough and the humor that people saw in the last chance to be absolutely certain that you just ran out of 150 to drop into lecture mode if people aren't prepared, it's on pp 58-59, Godot Lucky's speech. Again, thank you for doing such a great deal more during quarters when students aren't doing a strong preference and I'll see you next week the writing process. I'll see you next week! Does that help? Unfortunately, I think it's very perceptive things to say that your topic is potentially a very good job. I've read so far, and on the text than the one that he is the English Department's mail room, or only by fathers, or you need to instantiate a logical reasoning process for the paper to pay off for you to push back the midterm and the most important thing to be about 0. However, I would like to insert yourself into that arc. Before including the fact that you've mentioned. You are welcome to attend even if you miss more than the middle of the quarter by 1 p. Those who are interested in reciting.
Mass Effect: Andromeda | 30 Day Countdown |19-10
Still condensing a ton of questions into a single post.
19 Days: Where would Ryder fall in the classic Paragon/Renegade morality system? What would their D&D alignment be? If you know their personality type in any personality typing systems (such as MBTI and Enneagram - you can find various type descriptions and tests using Google), feel free to add and discuss them here.
Mordecai would probably be 90% Paragon, 10% Renegade - with that 10% being when his temper overrides him trying to do the right thing. D&D alignment would be either Chaotic Good or Neutral Good. Blue-Sky would match up with his Paragon/Renegade score mostly (might be 95/5), except she’d be an asshole when whoever it was had it coming. Alignment would be either Lawful Good or Neutral Good.
18 Days: What qualities does Ryder like and dislike in other people? Are there any things they particularly appreciate or can’t stand?
Mordecai likes a good sense of humor, a dirty mind, but preferably both; the only thing better than busting balls is busting balls together - something he and his sister do quite often, usually to each other. Banter is key. He also likes assertive personalities because it usually means less responsibility for him. He hates people who think they’re smarter than they actually are, and he also hates it when people don’t know when to shut up; put both of those together and you’ve got his least favorite people in the galaxy. Blue-Sky doesn’t care as much about ‘the bantz,’ but she also has a lot more patience with people in general. She actively dislikes mean people. Both Ryder siblings appreciate intelligence - in fact, they prefer to hang out with people smarter than they are, if only to learn from them.
17 Days: List some of Ryder’s favorite things - colors, food, music, etc. Is there anything of this nature that they hate? Do they have any hobbies or skills outside of combat?
Mordecai’s favorite color is turquoise; he loves pizza, steak, and buffalo wings - total carnivore, although he also really really loves citrus fruits, particularly oranges and nectarines. In general he just loves to eat, which stands at odds with trying to be as attractive as humanly possible at any given time; at least he’ll get plenty of exercise being a Pathfinder. He’s got a wide range of musical tastes, but gravitates towards anything heavy that he can also sing along with. Melodic hardcore/punk is usually his go-to, although he’s also got a soft spot for 1990s-early 2000s Earth hip-hop because of the wordplay and mellow beats. Both he and Blue-Sky sing, often together. He’s self-conscious about doing it in front of others, though. Lastly, he’s a gigantic nerd; total sci-fi/horror bookworm, loves watching old human shows (particularly Star Trek, which his mother was very into). He’s a lot better adjusted to life in space than a lot of his contemporary soldiers. Blue-Sky’s favorite color is forest green; she loves milk (dairy products in general, really), pizza, and bananas with peanut butter - she eats a lot healthier than Mordecai does. She loves any music she can sing and/or dance along with, although she favors genres she can harmonize to. She’s also a total nerd, though her tastes run more towards sci-fi/fantasy.
16 Days: How would Ryder define their sexuality?
Mordecai is between a 2 (predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual) and a 3 (equally heterosexual and homosexual) on the Kinsey scale. He’s had more relationships with women in the past, thinks they’re generally better kissers than men, and just really likes feminine aesthetics in general, but he also finds that men tend to be more dominant and BOY does he have a submissive streak in bed. Like, seriously; flip him over, he’s done.
Blue-Sky has only ever had relationships with men in the past, but she’s completely open to relationships with women. She’s much less concerned about gender than she is mental and personal compatibility; she’s more sapiosexual than anything. Too bad not many others can keep up.
15 Days: Delve into the Ryder family background - how is/was their relationship with their father, sibling and mother? Do they get along, hero worship, close twin connection, sibling rivalry, was it strained, was it distant, etc.
Relationship between Mordecai and Blue-Sky is fantastic, not least because Blue-Sky did a lot of the raising once Mariah was gone; they were already close before, but entered ‘ride or die’ territory pretty quickly. They would literally take a bullet for each other without a second’s hesitation, and they’re pretty much constantly on the same mental wavelength. There’s always a bit of rivalry between the two, but it couldn’t be friendlier. Mordecai is probably smarter in terms of raw intelligence and wit, but Blue-Sky is composed, analytical, and not as constantly clouded by emotion like Mordecai is, so she’s perfectly happy to take the lead, and he’s perfectly happy to be the ‘dumb’ muscle. Mariah died when they were both really young, so it’s hard to say what they felt beyond your run-of-the-mill child-mother adoration. Their relationships with their father have steadily deteriorated over the years, although Blue-Sky’s connection is stronger since she has more in common with him personality-wise and she mostly understands why he is the way he is, even if she doesn’t like it. Mordecai resents Alec, and although he doesn’t broadcast it, the air between them is decidedly frigid.
14 Days: Describe some important or formative events in Ryder’s history. How did these impact and shape them?
Mariah’s death was probably the biggest formative event in Mordecai’s life, and started him down the ‘you never have to miss someone if you never get attached’ path pretty early. He wanted to avoid counseling, so he, the more introverted of the siblings, put on a mask of smartass commentary, and as he got older it just stuck; he’s still deeply introverted, but he only lets on when his guard’s down. Between that and his dad pushing both of the siblings away from himself, Mordecai quickly developed a ‘me and my sister to the end, fuck everybody else’ mentality. The second biggest event would be what both siblings just call ‘The Split:’ when Alec had them assigned to completely different posts across the galaxy. Alec had hoped that separating them would allow them to both grow as individuals, and although he partially succeeded, he strained his relationship with Blue-Sky and destroyed it with Mordecai. In return, Mordecai devoted pretty much all of his time at Arcturus to pissing off his dad; outscoring every other Arcturus assignee and earning quite a few medals (and breaking more than a couple of his old man’s combat records), but also banging anything that moved and racking up a laundry list of misconduct/insubordination offenses - intentionally overshadowing his glowing record with his own rap sheet.
13 Days: Why did Ryder join the Alliance military? Later on, what were Ryder’s reasons for signing up to the Andromeda Initiative? Were they seeking adventure (or glory, or a challenge), wanting a new start, running from something, following their family, trying to secure a future for humanity, did they simply feel railroaded into it, etc.
Mordecai and Blue-Sky both joined the military because their father pushed them towards doing so (well, less ‘pushed,’ and more just ‘expected’). There are so many varied opportunities within the military that they both figured ‘Why not? At least we’ll stay together.’ And then they got assigned to completely different things - on Alec’s request, no less. Mordecai signed up for the Initiative because his sister did, and there was no way he was going to let her see a brand new galaxy without him. He doesn’t have any huge, altruistic motivations, he just wants to explore the galaxy with his sister. And hopefully piss off his dad some more.
12 Days: How will Ryder feel upon waking up from cryo? Relieved, excited, scared, impatient to get going, lost, etc.
Petty daddy issues aside, Mordecai’s incredibly excited to see a new galaxy, not least because he’s a huge sci-fi nerd. All those Saturday mornings watching old Star Trek reruns have not been lost on him. Blue-Sky is excited too, though she’s got a little more of the ‘pure spirit of exploration’ thing going on. She wants to see humanity move forward to the stars.
11 Days: Once in Andromeda, what are Ryder’s goals? What drives them?
Mordecai’s original goals are to just go along for the ride; he’s not planning on making any hard decisions or taking charge of anything. Maybe see some new planets, meet some interesting aliens (and get very well-acquainted with them), but nothing heavy. Obviously that’s all going to change in several ways. One, most of what he’s done in his entire life has been, at least in some manner, toward the goal of making his father’s life difficult; he hasn’t ever really lived for ‘himself’ in nearly 20 years. Two, he’s going to have a fuckton of responsibility and nobody to pass it off onto; the thought might occur to him, but there’s no one else who can fill those shoes, and he knows it, so saving the Human race in Andromeda is going to be priority number one. Can’t say he’ll deal with the stress in the healthiest of ways, though.
Blue-Sky is very interested in diplomacy and sharing cultures, and hopes to do her part in helping humanity find its place with the other Andromeda races. She’d love to make first contact with a new race. Still, she’s not expecting to do any of the leading herself. That’ll be a surprise.
10 Days: Will Ryder ever miss the Milky Way? What things and places will they miss most?
He might miss the Milky Way, but he’s honestly not all that attached - Mordecai only gets attached to people, and since he’s purposefully kept himself from actually letting anyone besides his sister into his life on a meaningful basis, there’s no worries. Anything else he’d miss - music, books, movies, television shows, etc. - he’s bringing with him. He’ll miss hearing new music from bands he likes, but he figures there’ll be plenty new stuff in the Andromeda system. Blue-Sky is just too excited about the new galaxy to miss the Milky Way much.
