Note to my Past Self: For all the times you doubted that pursuing your degree programs was worth it… it is. 💕

After 7 years of post-secondary education, and three degrees (soon to be 4 and a teaching credential), I finally got an interview for a full-time teaching position. In less than 24 hours, I was offered the position. I accepted.

The feeling of realizing you’re almost there, and that your hard work will be worth it, is an incredible feeling. And getting that phone call with the job position offer, makes your heart skip a beat, and leaves you overwhelmed with so many emotions. It’s such a surreal feeling and gives you so much energy and passion for your career path, even when it’s that time of year where you’re exhausted.

Keep going. It is so worth it when you can finally see the finish line. ✨👩🏼‍🏫

Why do people pretend the fanbase of all these shows is queer... it's 99% straight and bi women (even if some pretend to be men or sexless) and there's nothing wrong with that either. Media about men with a romantic/emotional chemistry is to straight women what lesbian porn is to straight men, no one really understands why this is the way it is, but female sexuality is fascinating.

...I mean, I'm literally a demisexual lesbian. And these shows are also for me.

I'm assuming you found my blog through Good Omens... There is no gatekeeping on what sexuality you need to be to enjoy a show. Straight cis women (and men!) do enjoy the show and the romance. Theres an element to seeing men show more vulnerability (in a world riddled with toxic masculinity) that is special and touches a lot of us in that way. But, also, would you really be that surprised that a show where two beings who may face judgement for having a romantic connection together can connect with so many queer people?

Not to mention the fact that the conflict on the most recent shows of this type (I'm mostly thinking of good omens and our flag means death here) have queer, trans and nonbinary people existing in them, but the conflict is never about that. They are themselves, they exist, and for once the problems they're facing in these worlds are nothing to do with their gender identity/sexuality.

These shows are a safe spaces for lgbtq+ people. My blog is also a safe space for them.

You're also, inherently, wrong about the lesbian porn part. Whilst it sometimes evolves into something sexual within the fanbase, watching this show and enjoying emotional chemistry between two same sex characters is so far away from being the same as watching same-sex porn. I don't even know how to try and explain that to you, because to me that feels obvious...?

Also, fyi, there are no men, women or nonbinary people "pretending" to be anything. I'd encourage you to do a bit more research on trans and nonbinary identities, and to offer a little more compassion to the people around you. 💛

And with that, my friends, the second book of the Clan Djarin series comes to a close!!!

If you'd told me when I started writing "In the Aftermath" that I would, a few years later, not only finish writing its full-length sequel, but have a plan for another anthology and a third book...I would not have believed you. But thanks to your support, and, of course, the friendship of Nikibogwater (go read all her stuff, she is my best friend in writing and life and I love her and couldn't have done this without her)...anyway, it's thanks to this community that I pushed myself to finish writing this book. And I can't wait to introduce you to the path ahead for our favorite clan of--five!

Also, announcing the titles of both the anthology and third book in the series!

The third book in the Clan Djarin series is called...ASCENSION.

And the anthology between SANCTUARY and ASCENSION is called...THE NEXT YEAR.
