The Hermitcraft Season 10 ‘Pirate’ AU - the notes of a madman

The premise is an expansion from this post now with more ppl innit.

The S10 island is full of criminals (charged with things done in different seasons timelines) and it’s the Time Police’s responsibility to set things right… but unfortunately this is also Grian and Demise is just a game to get ppl to do the work for him.

There are things like witches and Magic, but lately there has also been a rise of the Machine and the steam punk era with the introduction of the autocrafter.

Hermitcraft Pirate AU; Kinda

Grian, Scar, and somehow Mumbo: Seeing who can throw themselves overboard first

Xisuma: Trying to stop them

Zed, Impulse, and Tago, Building a new wing of the ship, AS IT IS MOVING IN THE WATER

Pearl: ‘Feeding the Ocean’ by dumping obscene amounts of soup into it

Keralis :Trying to steer the ship towards every mass of rocks he sees, gets stopped by Xisuma every time

Doc: Hanging out on the bottom floor of the ship, a glass dome on the bottom of the ship he built to study sea life

Ren: Getting held in a non choking choke hold so he doesn’t break the glass

Iskall: Hanging off of the merman on the front of the ship; nobody has noticed them for about two days now

Cub: Doing something absolutely unholy and completely ahead of the times

Bdubs: Stuffing decoy treasure maps into bottles and throwing them overboard

Etho: Building himself a tail so he can swim with the mermaids

Cleo: The mermaid who is trying to use magic to grow legs to they can walk with the cool ship people above

False: Sleeping. Somewhere. Probably in some precarious spot where it’s a miracle she hasn’t fallen out yet

TFC: Literally the only one besides Dadsuma doing anything sensible at all

Ex: The navy captain of the Helsian ship who is trying to track down the Hermit ship. He is simultaneously a step ahead of them, and, because of the pirates chaotic nature, two steps behind them

Some design and worldbuilding notes from the Steampunk Space Pirates AU

Starships, such as 'The Flying Jellie', are powered by aethercores, which are these giant crystals full of energy. If two crystals touch, it sends out a pulse of energy that, if harnessed correctly, can power an entire vessel. Larger ships require larger/more crystals; entire warships, such as those under the Red King's command, are powered with 3-5 large crystals. While highly extremely resistant, a broken or unrefined aethercore is extremely volatile, and replacing/repairing a core can be dangerous.
