📩 - Does your muse prefer to physically write letters or send them online? What is their reasoning? Raz: ... It depends completely on who's getting the letter. He actually has a pretty prolific online presence but he mostly just uses it to troll and fuck around with people and sometimes to feed his ego. So, uh, hatemail? Yes, digital, usually.

He would like sending physical letters if he weren't paranoid. So he prefers to say things in person- Though he might give unsigned love letters sometimes.

Hera: Definitely physically, if at all. She's not really a letter-writer. She has one shitty old laptop that can barely run a modern internet browser.

🎁 - Does your muse celebrate their birthday? If yes, how do they celebrate? If no, why not? Raz: He doesn't remember when it is.

Hera: Yes, she normally just likes to treat herself with expensive bath products (like bath bombs, rose petals, oils, ect..) and nice wine, and a tasty but easy dinner she can make. Stays home, prefers to spend it relaxing by herself, if her quads want to do anything special it will have to be on another night because she's turned off her phone. (She will have warned her quads/friends of this well in advance)

💅 - How does your muse feel about gender roles? Do they conform to them, or do they play by their own rules? I don't really headcanon there to be much by way of gender roles on Alternia except in certain situations (i.e. female jade matrons, the empress, ect..) and that women are generally seen as / encouraged to be leaders and more violent.

So by that reckoning, yeah, Raz somewhat conforms and Hera definitely conforms. I don't think either of them really consider it- Maybe Hera to an extent, she's proud to be the way she is.

What do you think about Percabeth getting married? I saw many people who think they won't be getting married because of Annabeth's beef with Hera, but since when they gaf about gods opinion? Also they have Aphrodite, Poseidon and even Athena by their side and they have done so much for the gods there really shouldn't be issue with them getting married. Maybe Athena will be doing some kind of test for Percy to prove that he deserves to marry her daughter or something but I think that's it!

ok, this one is controversial. i want to start by saying that everyone’s opinion is completely valid and i can see both ways

but for me? i totally see them getting married. after all they’ve been through? after all they’ve survived? they deserve to stand up in front of their friends and families and promise to love each other for the rest of their lives, no matter how long that may be.

fuck hera. i can’t stand the thought of them letting her keep them from doing what they want. if they want to get married, they’ll get married, dammit!

and even if they didn’t need a wedding, sally jackson deserves that wedding!! and say what you want about the chase family - i know they really suck in a lot of ways - but you can’t convince me that frederick chase doesn’t bawl his eyes out when he walks annabeth down the aisle.

it would be a beautiful day. probably on the beach. probably a huge wedding, despite their wishes. aphrodite without a doubt intervenes with wedding planning (even though annabeth threatens her to stay out of it.) you know everyone at camp half-blood and a ton of people from new rome and camp jupiter are gonna want to be there. at least half the gods are showing up, invited or not. tons of various different creatures; the party ponies, dryads, satyrs, etc. the hunters will be there, cause thalia’s gotta be there for her girl. (plus apollo convinces artemis that she needs to go and “let loose for once.”) poseidon is gonna be partying it up. hermes will be having a ball. even athena will secretly have a good time

and hera? i have a headcanon that annabeth and percy kinda blackmail her lol. at some point during their engagement, i can see her really needing something from them, like a quest, and they say they’ll do it only if she swears on the river styx to grant them a happy marriage and not cause issues for them. ever.

i despise the thought of them not getting married just because of a god. they’re percy jackson and annabeth chase. they don’t play by the gods rules. and they’re demigods - they don’t have the time to live in any way that’s not exactly how they want to.

….also they’re gonna have kids one day, and if percy gets annabeth pregnant outside of marriage, athena very well might obliterate him. so a wedding might be necessary for survival purposes.

because everything they said a year and a half ago ironically still applies today and i don't even know how that's possible but it's where we are 💀😭

if hera could eat, i think she'd be completely prepared for indulgence, but she would ultimately prefer subtler / more natural flavors. like, hera is getting pistachio rosewater ice cream while eiffel is creating ungodly sugar concoctions out of the most brightly colored artificial flavors known to man. minkowski - needless to say, a big fan of ice cream! - is a healthy eater through rigorous discipline, but in her heart of hearts, she does want, like. dark chocolate cherry with cake bits in it. minkowski earnestly believes in the concept of a "cheat day" and marks them on her calendar. which is a real "how do you live like this" moment for eiffel, on multiple levels.

I've been thinking again about Minkowski and Hera during the time when Eiffel was stranded on Lovelace's shuttle - about how Hera had gotten so used to monitoring Eiffel's wellbeing, and how Minkowski felt responsible for his safety, and how neither of them cope well with not knowing things they feel they ought to.

Perhaps one day Hera notices Minkowski reading the nutrition information on the back of the ration packs (the same kind as the ones that were on that shuttle). And Hera knows what Minkowski's doing, because she's been running the same calculations herself. Calories in one ration pack multiplied by number of ration packs on the shuttle, divide that by minimum calories required per day, add something on for the number of days survivable with no food at all...

Hera's got access to plenty of information about what the human body can survive, but there's too many variables here. How damaged is the shuttle? What's the temperature like? What's Eiffel's body weight? And there's too many horrible questions that Hera and Minkowski don't want to think about, and are unable to stop thinking about. How much will to live does Eiffel have? How long can a person hold onto hope in a situation like that?

Perhaps they each separately decide on an answer to their calculations, if only so they can pretend they know that he's currently still alive. But their mental countdowns tick down. And so maybe there comes a day when Hera glitches much more than usual. And maybe not long afterwards there comes a day when Minkowski can't seem to focus on anything at all. And maybe they talk about it, or maybe they don't. But either way, they both know that the other is thinking over the same question. And they are both hoping - more than anything - that the answer they've arrived at is incorrect. They are both hoping for an answer that seems impossible.
