Another summer taking cover, rolling thunder
He don't understand me
Splintered back in winter, silent dinners, bitter
He was with her in dreams
You wake up distraught and sweaty in the middle of a hot Australian summer night. It was because of a dream you had about Carlos with the whores you would see him with.
"Are you okay honey?" Oscar mumbles. He notices the state that you were in, it was like you were struck by thunder. "Let me get you water."
Oscar turns on the lamp by his bedside to then go to the kitchen you get you a glass of water. Once Oscar comes back to give you the water, he gives you a minute before asking the question. "What's wrong honey?"
"I ... had a dream about Carlos," you take a deep breath and continue talking. "It felt so real. I felt like I was back with Carlos and seeing him with whores while I was alone splintered back in winter. I remember I would eat my dinners in silence and be bitter that Carlos was with girls while I was alone."
Oscar can tell it was still hard for you to talk about your past relationship with Carlos, you did spend 3 years with him. "I don't think I will fully understand or feel what you went through with your relationship with Carlos. My past relationships have been short term. But I will always be here to listen and comfort you." He hugs you so that you two can cuddle back in bed.
"Thank you for always being there even when you don't understand." You lightly kiss him and fall back to sleep. Slowly you were breaking free from the slammer of the trauma you had with your past relationship and healing with the love of your life.
Years of labor, locks and ceilings

But it's gonna be alright, I did my time
The 2024 season started back up at the beginning of March at the Bahrain Grand Prix. You were excited to be back in paddock to support your brother and your boyfriend. They had both left early in the morning to start practicing for qualifying.
Once you got into the paddock, you see the Ferrari garage and remember the years of labor, locks, and ceilings you went through with Carlos and Ferrari. It was always in the shade of how Carlos was feeling, Ferrari red.
As you walk past the Ferrari garage to get to McLaren garage, you hear a voice that was familiar to you. "Y/N!" It was Alexandra.
"Oh my god! Hi, Alex." You both hug. One of the things you actually miss from Ferrari was your friendship with Alex.
"How are you? It's been so long!" She exclaimed. "The last time we saw each other, it was a bad time." Last time you saw Alex was at your failed wedding with Carlos.
"I've genuinely been doing good." You smile sympathetic to Alex. "I'm happier than the last time we saw each other. How are you and Charles?"
"We're doing amazing!" She says happily. "We're having a baby boy soon."
Your eyes widen at what Alex had spilled. "You're having a baby!"
"Oh not an actual baby," she giggles. "We're getting our baby dachshund in a few weeks."
"Oh my god! That's so exciting! You need to post pictures of him as soon as you get him." You exclaim to Alex about the puppy her and Charles were getting soon.
Speaking about Charles, he comes up and Alex with none other than Carlos with him. This will be the first time seeing each other physically. "Hi, Y/N. How are you?" Charles asks.
"I'm doing very well. Alex was telling me you guys are getting baby dachshund in a few weeks." You notice that Carlos was staring at you while you were talking to Charles. You just ignore him and pay attention to your conversation with Alex and Charles.
Alex tells Charles about what she said about the baby dachshund. "We're excited about starting our family by adding Leo." Charles smiles while talking about his baby dachshund. "But one day, we'll start our own human family."
'I'm happy for you guys for starting a family." You smile at them. "I've always wanted to start a family of my own. Right Carlos?" You ask him since he was listen to the conversation as well. He was too stunned to speak.
While you were waiting for Carlos to respond, two drivers wearing papaya colored race suits join the conversation. "What are we talking about?" Lando asks.
"We were talking about Charles and Alexandra starting a family by them getting a dog." Carlos says completely ignoring your question. He notices Oscar back hugging you while you're listening to the conversation.
"I'm getting a nephew! I thought Y/N would give me on before you Charles." Lando says jokingly to the group. Everyone except for Carlos laughs at Lando's joke.
"One day we'll give you a nephew or niece mate." Oscar says to the group then looks at you. "Let me put a ring on her finger and get tied to her first before that." You smile at what Oscar says.
Even though you did your time, it was going to be alright for you. You found the one.
Camera flashes, welcome bashes

As I said in my letters, now that I know better
I will never lose my baby again
Tonight was the race of Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. News got out that Carlos would not be racing since he had to get his appendix removed. You and the rest of the McLaren team sent your sympathies to the Sainz family by sending them flowers and letters wishing him to get better.
As you scan your vip paddock pass through the gates, a bunch of cameras flashed at you with reporters asking you questions. "Y/N is it true that you were happy that Carlos wouldn't be able to race tonight? That he was finally getting his karma for the way he treated you."
"That's a ridiculous and disgusting question ma'am." You says to her in disgust as she points the mic to you. "What type of person would wish evil on a person? Even though Mr. Sainz and I aren't in a relationship, I would never wish evil on him. Earlier today, the McLaren team members and I wrote letters and sent flowers wishing Mr. Sainz and his family to have a smooth and speedy recovery. Get your facts straight next time and have a good rest of your night ma'am." You say your final thoughts and leave to go to the McLaren garage.
You see Oscar waiting for you, "You were really strong out there honey. You spoke nothing but the truth." He says and kisses your temple.
"You're not mad at me for speaking about him, baby?" You ask him.
"No because I know who you are and what your intentions are. That's what I love about you." He smiles at you and you both go into the garage so he can get ready for the night race.
If you were in your previous relationship, he would've got mad at you for speaking to the media. But now you know that you'll never lose your baby again.

After the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, you and Oscar decided to take a small vacation at Oscar's family home the week before his home race. From there you finally got to meet his parents and his three sisters.
You guys were outside on the porch with the light gleams roasting marshmallows at the camp fire. "Oscar, you need to stop hanging out with Logan because his American traditions are rubbing off on you." One of Oscar's sisters jokingly says in front of the family.
"Well isn't this what American families do? Roast marshmallows in the summer on the pouch. It's a plus that I have the girl of my American dreams." Oscar looks at you smiling.
"You're not even American baby." You laugh at what Oscar said in front of everyone.

"Y/N will you marry me?"
You stand up and say happily, "Yes baby. Forever and always."
After years of going through the slammer, you were going to be alright at the end.

-Elliott is the obvious choice, isn’t he ?
-this man has no chill when it comes to showing you how much he loves you
-he isn’t huge on baby talk, but he’s huge on medieval Shakespearean reenactment to show his love to you
-you might not always understand where his play on words come from, but it sure as hell makes you blush like a mess
-whenever you and him have a sleepover, he leaves a note on your table that reminds you of how much he adores you! So cute 🥰
-flowers, romantic dates, evenings spent at the pub sitting on his lap while he caresses your hair, marvelling at it with a slightly drunken gaze and red cheeks 😫🫡😍😏

-ok hear me out! Before you come for my throat, I think he is more likely to be very love drunken than some of the other choices. It’s a close call for the second place, but I believe he deserves it
-overused but I don’t care: he has the golden retriever energy. Maybe it’s his ADHD, but regardless, he’s a pure boy
-he might be a little anxiously attached to you because he won’t leave your side during your honeymoon phase
-he wants to hold your hand or touch you in some way all the time. He just loves having you close 🥺
-expect him to kiss you senseless whenever he can. Preferably in private because he doesn’t want his mum to find out through bystanders, that would be embarrassing. Other than that, he wouldn’t care for the life of him. If he can pepper your neck with little kissies, he will
-speaking of kisses: he’s generally a huge fan of intense make out sessions. He prefers them over sex any time. Not that he doesn’t like the other stuff, but to him, it just hits different

-I know I KNOW. I know that Harvey is a sweet boy in the game who tells you a lot of cute stuff, but idk. Something about Alex makes me believe he will be more likely the kind of partner to be sweet and a bit cringe yet adorable when it comes to the person he loves
-he might not be a poet, but he shows his adoration in other ways
-back 👏🏻 hugs 👏🏻
-generally hugging you? He will do it all the time. Any time. He will climb through your small living room window to hug you at least once a day if he has to
-for some reason, he likes kissing your arms. Don’t ask me to elaborate, he just does. Like kissing them up and down. Oh and your thighs 👀 it doesn’t even necessarily lead to anything explicit, he just loves them so much
-he will tell you how you’re the love of his life and how he cannot wait to see you two grow old together. He will lay in bed with you, maybe just watching tv and randomly blurt out something like this: “wow, who would have thought that we’d end up like this, meeting in this tired town. Having you by my side, I might be the luckiest guy to ever exist.”
-Alex frequents the beach to talk to his deceased mother. It’s kinda sweet in a way because he will talk to her about the things happening in his life. Pre-dating as well as in the midst of your relationship, he tells her so much about you, wishing she was still alive to have met you as you are the best thing that has ever happened to him 😭
-Alex is a hunky boy, but he loves bathing with you :3 something about it just makes him feel extremely euphoric 🥰 but he will cup your boobs the whole time lmfao (no matter what kind you have). That might also lead to him kissing your neck the whole time till both of you are in the mood 😶🌫️👀
4. Harvey
-Harvey at forth ?! HARVEY?! COME OOOON
-yes, I know. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t cute and affectionate with you ! This ranking is pretty close as all of the bachelors have their qualities that make them good partners 🥺 it’s just based on my own headcanons or assumptions about what they might be like
-ok so Harvey is a little anxious mess but LOVES to be a real gentleman when he’s in love
-I’m talking putting on his finest Jazz and dancing with you in your living room, slow dancing while just enjoying each other’s closeness 👀😍
-Harvey shows his affection mostly through everyday things. Like making you coffee in the morning or cleaning up for you. Not to mention peppering you when you’re sick as well as doing small gestures that show you that he cares and wants to make the effort for you
-Harvey LOVES to put your foreheads together while holding you close. Since he’s way taller than you, he has to crouch a little in order to make it work (it’s so cute omfg 😭😤🥰😍💀🫣🫨😫)
-forehead kisses too 😭👏🏻😫 he’s all about soft, sweet affection
-there are many headcanons about spicy Harvey and I get where this is coming from, but I do believe that his sweet, pure side is predominant. Like yes he will want to sleep with you, you’re a couple and he’s not asexual, so why wouldn’t he want to do that 🤷🏼♀️
-speaking of this, he loves to lay in bed with you in your post-coital state. Like of course he enjoys the deed, but what he enjoys even more is the after math that consists of laying together, skin to skin, just talking or laying there in silence and enjoying each other. It gives him the feeling of being one with you, of growing even closer than before 🥺
5. Sebastian
-Sebby can be a really cute guy once he lets his guard down, but I don’t think he is the most obvious in love even when he is very infatuated with you
-he just isn’t that kind of guy, you know?
-Sebastian loves to cuddle with you in bed, especially while playing video games. His room is his safe space and sharing that space with you while doing something he enjoys, it’s just perfect to him
-he will show you how much he likes you by taking you on small adventures despite being a homebody. He didn’t fix up that motorcycle for nothing. Just you and him outside, discovering new places. It’s something he doesn’t offer to just anyone
-in public, he’s very reserved and doesn’t feel comfortable showing his affection, but at home? He latches on you and won’t let go. Of course he needs his space every once in a while, but it’s not rare for him to try and crawl under your shirt with you just to feel your warmth (he’s very cold most of the time)
-he loves touching your tummy. Ok ok I know this one is controversial but he just loves it. When you’re a little soft and he can grab onto something soft and warm? Oh boy, he will….he will 👁️ he also loves kissing your abdomen. Again, don’t ask me, I have my reasons
-when it comes to intimacy, he surprisingly prefers giving over taking. I have a feeling he prefers non-penetrative sex more ? At least speaking of “traditional” straight sex. Again, don’t ask, I cannot explain. So I imagine when he’s in a relationship with an AFAB farmer, he will want to either eat them out or finger them senseless because it brings him pleasure. It’s very specific I know but it feels right🤷🏼♀️
6. Shane
-you all know by now that I have a mild obsession with this guy, but yeah…I gotta admit he isn’t cutting it in this ranking
-it’s not that he isn’t capable of giving a lot of love, but he has his barriers that keep him from showing his love freely
-he will get there eventually, but before that, he’s very…well…tense ? He has a hard time initiating romantic gestures or telling you nice things
-again it’s not because he doesn’t want to, it’s that he is in his own head too much that he cannot garner the courage to do so. You’re dating but he still suspects it’s all a tasteless joke on him
-in those moments when Shane beats his inner critics, he can be such a sweetheart omfg
-I’m speaking kissing you behind your ear, caressing your waist and whispering sweet nothings in your ear. He isn’t very eloquent most of the time, but when the moment is right, he just knows what to say to you to make you feel loved
-Shane is the type of person to show his affection through mild bullying and joking around. He might be calling you a dwarf or giant (depending on your height difference) make fun of little things you do that he notices, but it’s never in bad taste. He always makes sure you know it’s just silly banter that usually ends in you two fighting playfully and then tumbling on top of each other, laughing and kissing 🥺🥰
-this man, this man loves when you sleep on his chest. On a lazy Sunday watching tv or just when he wakes up in the morning, noticing your head’s weight on him. It makes him feel useful, like he can protect you (let’s ignore that the farmer slays monsters as a side hustle, k). He will kiss your head ever so softly and whisper how much he loves you while doing it 😌
-if you want him to be the kind to hold your hand in public or kiss you, you’ve set your money on the wrong horse (rehab was supposed to be a fresh start), because he is not that kind of man, sorry 🤷🏼♀️ he will start to do it once he gets comfortable enough with you, but it’s not that much. PDA just isn’t in it with this guy 😤
-his spicy side? He has plenty spice, but when he’s in the mood for some romance, he likes it slow and sensual. It’s a bit out of character for him, but sometimes he just wants to enjoy your presence and the slow build up of excitement and arousal. Expect him to enjoy guided self-pleasure. Picture it like this: he sits behind you, taking your hand and guiding it through the process of what you’d do to yourself 🫣 while, again, whispering hot stuff in your ear (yeah my version of him is into whispering lmfao). Little moments that I love in Red White and Royal Blue. PART 3.
This man right here invented hearteyes I-
Like... did you see him in this scene? You simply cannot script something like this, you just can't. Yeah you can write things like "Alex watched Henry lovingly as he played the piano" but it isn't good enough, is it? His look here is kind and loving and soft and attentive and admiring and I could go on and on. Henry is so lucky to be on the receiving end of this 😩😍
Oh and don't miss Henry's reaction to this tho
You can't tell me he didn't feel the butterflies 🦋🦋😏 l mean, look at that shy smile 😍
And then they both start giggling. I love how grim Henry was like a moment ago (crumbling on the stairs) but now he is just happy to be with Alex, like the weight of all the dark things he was carrying within himself have been lifted. Just like that.
These two are so cute in the piano scene that I feel giddy everytime I see them 😩😍 no matter how many times I watch the scene
But wait, there are more from here. The "heyy they still love you" and the hand on shoulder. And to think they shot this during reshoots 😩🤧 they truly are chemistry professors.
It doesn't even look like there is a 4/5 months gap (they wrapped production in August 2022 and did reshoots in January 2023) between this shot and the previous one.
Henry looking at his boyfriend and saying "your speech was beautiful" 😍
I love how relaxed Henry looks with Alex around even though they are still unsure of what the future holds. And Taylor's currlss 😍 I'd look at him the same way.
I know this doesn't get talked about much but I think Taylor's acting was brilliant here. Alex was so worried, so stressed, so afraid he cost his mum her election (the first US female president ever), you can tell how much this means to him. His "I'll breathe when we win" 😭
Then he sees the graphics on the news and goes to check on his mom only to find her working on her concession speech and he feels even worse
he immediately calls Henry to be with him. We get another loving hug. Alex truly looks like he is so so happy to have Henry by his side. He looks like he is finally breathing 🥺 like nothing else matters as long as they are together
And then Ellen is elected for a second time (by winning Texas) and we get this moment 🤧 and Ellen's "thank you" ❤️
Here's another scene done during reshoots. How do they make looking at each other so couple-y. Look at Henry here, like he knows Alex, he just knows what Alex is thinking. He is like "I see you babe, I hear you, no matter what I will be with you" without even uttering a word lmao what even

Things That Have Happened At Dallas Fan Expo (so far)
I’ve been so overstimulated the whole time but luckily I have my beautiful boyfriend to cling to while I shake like a leaf from fangirling
At least 7 Crowley and Aziraphales (and a LOT of Thirteens)
I was in line for Colleen Clinkenbeard when I saw a guy in Roy mustang cosplay and ran like 20 feet to him and my wig came completely undone so by the time I got to Colleen I was an absolute mess
She was LOVELY oh my gosh I showed her the lyrics of shadows and she really appreciated them, she gave such a great answer to my question (the things she admires most about Riza is her patience) and she really seemed to appreciate that someone admires her as much as I do. I got to hug her and she was so warm 🥺
Lots of people have complimented my Riza cosplay and asked for pictures, my poor boyfriend who is DT!Macbeth has yet to get his flowers
my boyfriend’s mom is King Duncan (Donuts)
Catherine Tate gave me a free selfie bc I’m “so kind” and got really excited that I love much ado about nothing (she thought it was hilarious that I am now the cover photo for the album)
we sat in on the panel with Alex, Jodie and Mandip which was lovely and at the end they all sang the Doctor who theme and it was absolutely iconic (Jodie is precious currently in line to meet her)
David Tennant’s head poked out from behind all the people and I went “OH MY GOD” and recoiled like I’d just been shot
he was like 20 feet from me and I meet him in less than an hour. I’m never going to recover from this macbeth

"I can't see him!" Laylah stood on her tip toes, jumping up and down to try to see over the crowd of people waiting in the family area of Arrowhead Stadium. You and the kids were standing with Donna and Ed in the lobby outside of the player's locker room, waiting for Travis to come out post game.
"He's probably still doing his press conference, Lay Lay." Savannah didn't even bother looking up from her book as she pulled her legs underneath her on one of the couches against the wall. She honestly couldn't care less about football, and always brought something to keep her occupied during the game.
"There he is!" Laylah took off down the hallway towards Travis, jumping into his arms. "Oh goodness, when did you get so heavy?" Travis chuckled, catching her with ease.
"Yay! Daddy! I'm happy you won!"
"Thank you, baby girl." He kissed her on the forehead before putting her down. You took a step back, a giant smile on your face as you watched the kids rush to their dad and get their hugs and kisses.
Alex was hitting the pre-teen age, and usually acted too cool for most things, but even he was grinning, wearing his Kelce jersey, the second person to give Travis a hug.
"Where's Nannah?" Travis asked as he hugged his mom and shook his dad's hand. He laid eyes on her, chuckling to himself as he sat down next to Savannah on the couch.
"What are you reading?" He took the book from her hands, flipping through the pages, as he leaned back. "Its a book about a woman scientist, and she travels through time." Travis scrunched his eyebrows in concentration as he read a few words.
"Can I read you a few pages when we get home to practice?" Savannah suggested, and Travis nodded immediately, a smile on his face. "I would love that Nannah."
That was one of the things you loved the most about Travis. No matter how he was going through in his career, he was always a father and husband first. You never had to second guess how important you were to him.
"Alright, let's go home. I am starving!" Savannah lifted off of the couch, making her way to the the parking garage. Alex and Laylah ran off behind her, leaving you and Travis alone for the first time all day.
"Hey." Travis grinned at you, quickly closing the gap between your bodies.
"Hello, handsome. Congratulations. How do you feel?" You tugged at his sweatshirt, Travis' hands finding your waist.
"The best I've felt in a long time, baby." He bent down, tipping your chin up towards him to place a gentle kiss on your lips. You felt your stomach flip as he guided your head to deepen the kiss.
"Mama, c'mon! I'm hungry!" Alex's voice traveled down the hallway, your eyelids fluttering open as you giggled. Travis grabbed your hand, pressing a kiss to your knuckles as you both walked to the car.

i feel like i neglect baby alex so let's talk about him! i think he takes his first steps when matty gets home from being away for work for a week or so; he was reluctant to go, because alex was getting close to walking right before he left and he would've hated to miss his first steps, but you were like "nah i don't think he's quite there yet, darling, don't worry about it", so he went. and you turn out to be right - despite his big sister's best efforts, alex does no more than pull himself up to standing in the week daddy's away, looking tentatively at the ground every time he does, bless him. you update matty on this, regardless, sending him pics of alex standing and little vids of lyla going "alex! come here please!" and opening her arms to entice him into a hug; matty's like "oh, our sweet boy. you can see he really wants a hug from lyla, bless him". but, as it turns out, the person your little boy most wants a hug from is matty himself - he gets in the door and drops his bags and crouches and opens his arms, and lyla practically flies into them. you put alex down and let him hold your leg, opening your own arms for matty to slot himself into once he's hugged the babies, and you think nothing of it until lyla gasps - you look down to see alex toddling towards his dad and sister, both of their jaws and eyes wide in excitement, and you make a sort-of half gasp half sob at the sight of your baby walking for the first time. he tumbles slightly into matty's arms, but he giggles, a sound that continues when you also crouch and join the huddle and the three older members of the family heap praises and kisses and cuddles on him. matty gets teary, as do you, and he leans over the babies so you two can share a slightly damp but overjoyed kiss; he's like "hi, darling. what a thing to come home to!", and you're like "think he waited specifically for you to come home for maximum dramatic effect. he's got your timing AND your face lol", and matty's like "i'm so proud of him. oh, god, i love you all so much" and gives alex a big kiss on the cheek, and then lyla, and then you (on the lips. he can't help himself lmao). very adorable i think <3

i was looking through my notes app and found some notes i wrote while reading edge of great (the jatp novelisation) in feburary 2021 so i thought i'd post them bc i miss the time when i was so obsessed with jatp i could quote large parts of it from memory:

okay so i finished it and it was fun to read overall but i felt like past episode 3 was very rushed and condensed (makes sense since episode 3 finished past the half-way point of the book) and it stopped being as well written (barely any internal dialogue and descriptors), and some moments were mischaracterised heavily (including a lot of the willex) and juke just didn't seem developed at all. also i wish reggie had gotten more pov chapters since he's, y'know, a main character. i'm pretty sure he got, like, 2 :( also a lot of the music scenes lacked emotion but since this is an adaptation of something with music without music i'll let it slide. it was still nice to read either way.

I really liked this chapter!! It was angsty but not in like a bad way??? Like it was a hopeful angst hahaha!
This definitely makes up for Dieters behaviour! I hope Talia doesn’t blame herself too much tho because while yes, she could’ve helped him earlier. But it’s also not her responsibility to make sure his doctors are doing the right things? And she also has to take care of her own mental health. So I don’t blame her for not doing anything. It’s a complicated situation!
tbh, I think this was kinda the worst time to really introduce Lauren and Alex’s relationship because with everything with Dieter, I just don’t really care about them? lmao it’s kinda like “yeah good for them but is Dieter okay?????”
That moment with Talia and Dieter just made me 🥺🥺😭😭 he just wants to come home 😭😭 like actually broke my heart. I just wanna wrap him in a snuggly blanket and hug him. (Can we make him a mental health hospital basket? Like fluffy socks and chocolates and a little stuffed bear that smells like home…🥺😂)
And it suuuuucks that all this happened and that Dieter will have to go through all this now but it’s also good because he needs this and sometimes the good things are so fucking hard. But they’ll be worth it in the end and Dieter (and Talia) deserve all the good things 🥺
I can’t wait to see Dieter learning all the healthy coping mechanisms and therapy tricks (i feel like he’s gonna be so proud of himself that he’s shyly gonna tell people the things his therapist said helps. 🥺)
Aaaaaaaah I’m just so freaking soft for him and I just want him to be happy and healthy!!!! I already can’t wait to read the next chapter, I love this story sooooo muuuuuuch!!! (thanks for the update and we love you!!)

I am happy to hear you enjoyed this chapter! It was indeed a rough one. It defiantly brought back some not-so-great memories for me. The conversation between D and Talia was loosely based off real conversations I have had with two people in my life. Neither of which were easy. So, if you felt some realism to it, that is most likely why.

Oh you know Talia is totally going to be hard on herself about how she handled the whole situation. Especially now that she admits she hasn't been handling her emotions well either. Everything she has kept locked away is about to bust out with a vengeance, forcing her to finally deal with her issues too... and I do mean everything. Not just the things related to D.
So, here is my thinking behind the Lauren and Alex reveal...Was it ideal? Absolutely not, but neither is life. Alex was obviously going to be there for his brother. It's inevitable. Alex & Lauren were already together when Gabby called, and they came to the hospital together. Lauren, of course, wanted to be there to support D, Talia, Gabby, and Alex. It's hard to support the person you are in love with while pretending you are not a couple. In my mind, during situations like this, all of the trivial stuff like that kind of goes out the window so that you can be there for the people you love. Honestly, their relationship was probably the last thing on their mind in the middle of the panic that Gabby's call would have brought on. To be fair, they didn't announce it...Gabby and Talia just kind of figured it out.
It really was a heartbreaking moment... and it isn't even that he wanted to go home. He wanted to be with Talia, wherever she was. He just wants them to be together again in their little bubble. She is home to him.
It does suck that he has spiraled so hard. It helps to see the good in it though. It is going to force both D and Talia to get the help they need so they can have their happily ever after.
Given that you feel that is how he will be about his recovery, I think you will enjoy the ending that I have planned for these two. 😉
At this point, I think we all want to hug and snuggle D. I am sure he wouldn't be opposed to a gift basket. Maybe a stuffed raccoon (that smells like Talia) and some kit-kats would make things a little easier on him?

9x09 and 9x10 They really start to like each other and become friends. It's so funny to watch them compare childhood traumas and then con people together.
9x14 Where they work together and then Jo brings him donuts and we can see that he's falling in love with her! 🥰
9x17 Jo tries to talk to Meredith about Alex and I can start to see that she has feelings for him.
9x19 Alex starts to look at her fondly while he helps her with a patient, it's super cute.
9x21 Alex acts all nice to Jo and her boyfriend and then admits he loves her to Cristina. It makes the whole episode worth my own
9x24 Where they get together! Alex finally admits his feelings and they kiss.
10x01 They're finally together and they both just wanna make out but they keep getting distracted/pulled away.
10x03 They're both so horny for each other and they want to sleep together, but they're not sure if it's too soon and the interns are all hanging out at his house. Then Jo greets him with an empty house and this little speech for him, but he just hoists her over his shoulders and takes her to bed!
10x04 A great one because Jo doesn't let him push her away even though he acts like an ass.
10x12 April’s wedding where Alex has this big speech and says that he loves her and he wants to be with her and wants them to be a family and it's so cute.
10x14 The non-fraternization policy where they fake a break-up and then sneak around together!
11x06 Where Jo has a hard case that brings up her past and she’s worried about her and Alex's relationship. Alex just reassures her that she's got him and I love the line, “I'm not going anywhere except home with you.”
11x08 But only the scene at the end where they're arguing and then they kiss. Then Jo makes him chase after her and he does and he slaps her ass 😉
11x12 They tease Arizona together the entire episode! Then he watches her walk away after she walks in naked on him and Mer talking as he just looks at her and says “I'm going to marry that girl.” and he did 😀
11x24 They were kind of fighting most of the episode, but it's still good and I love how they make up the end. Jo surprises Alex with the loft and tells him that she loves him for the first time and she wants to be with him.
There isn’t a lot in season 12 because they fight through most of it as Alex prioritizes Meredith and Jo get’s nervous and I hate it! And when they do have good parts it’s like one scene an episode!
12x03 One of my favorites, (honestly they should have had a real pregnancy scare in this one, but at least they tease it.) Then in the last scene, Alex pulls down his pants and says he wants to make a baby with her and Jo just laughs. (again they should have made a baby!!)
12x20 This one has a really good scene at the end where Jo explains why she has a gun, and why she got it, then why she's giving it up now and he just holds her! 🥺
12x24 I know they're fighting through most of the episode, I like the angstyness okay. But Jo says she's ready to have a baby with him! Then she gets drunk which is hilarious. Alex comes home because he realizes he wants her no matter what….. and then he punches Deluca.
13x06 They have a few interactions together but I like Alex's storyline on his own. It’s also the start of Waffle Sundays!
13x09 Is a really good one because Jo finally tells him about her past and there's just this really intimate scene between them. Alex decides to face the consequences of what he's done and protect Jo. I feel like everything he does going forward from this is to protect Jo.
13x10 Again a really good Jo episode and a really good over episode overall and then she finds out about Alex 😭
13x12 Just at the end when Jo finds out Alex is not in prison and goes and just hugs him! 🥺
When we're into season 14: they're golden era.
14x02 Starting off with Jo sleeping with Schmitt and then he makes fun of her for it. But Ben tells Alex why she's hesitant to get back together with him and they talk. He promises her he's never going to hurt her and she kisses him.
14x03 Where they're finally back together and kissing in elevators again and Jo asks him to come home.
14x07 is a really good episode for both of them, but they only really have a scene together at the end. Jo says she's going to divorce Paul and he asks if she’s sure? She says she is, then she kisses him. Then she tells him he smells like fish because he’s been cutting fish and was on a boat all day.
14x9 and 14x10 are other really good episodes for Jo specifically and Alex is just there to support her through all of it and it's really sweet to her. I love the hurt/comfort we get. Then Jo stands up for herself and Paul dies and she's free.
14x15 Another one of my favorites where they work a case together and Jo proposes to him!!!!
14x19 where Alex works so hard to save this patient, but then she can't be saved so she leaves. Then they have a scene together at the end where Jo says she wants to take his last name and that she wants to have his babies 🥰
14x22 Alex goes to see his mom and Jo just supports him the entire time and when he gets angry Jo gives him a good outlet for his anger and talks to him.
14x24 Their wedding episode!!! The whole thing is absolutely hilarious. It’s so cute, I can't believe they get locked in the shed trying to have sex on their wedding day next to a corpse, but then they get married on ferry boats and it’s so cute.🥰
Then season 15 part one is their silver era of marriage.
15x01 Alex just wants to enjoy his honeymoon and make babies with her, but Jo has this big idea she's trying to pursue. So he lets her do what she loves and then brings her food as she shares her idea with him.
15x03 Drunk Jo and a sunburned Alex as they try to pitch her idea to Bailey for a fellowship.
15x4 with horny Jo just trying to get laid, but Alex has his mind on work.
15x08 Where the electricity goes out in the Loft and they get stuck due to the windstorm. They have a second honeymoon featuring drunk Jo!
15x12 Not necessarily a Jolex episode but it had Holiday jolex!! But it's kind of a sad one, but the scene where she tells him, she loves being married to him. Then she rests her head on his shoulder while their patients get married. 🥺
15x15 Where Alex’s mom shows up and Jo just supports him again.
15x16 With the baby hats! Helen knits baby hats for them and Alex says he wants babies, but Jo gets freaked out. Then she says she wants babies with him but after a DNA test. Also, Jo, Link, and Jackson are such a good trio. Then the rest of the season is just depressed Jo and we don't get any babies 😢
16x01 It has a lot of angst and hurt/comfort between them but they find their way back to each other and Alex proposes to her again and it’s super sweet.
16x02 It's got a few scenes of them together, but basically. Alex offers her a job at his hospital, but then she gets a job at Gray-Sloan. Alex says “I feel used” and she's like “I know but I still love you.”
16x06 Where she dresses up for Halloween and follows him around at work because she wants to spend the day with him. Then they get officially legally married again!
and that's where Gray's Anatomy ends!

Alex and George’s nest always being the best to go to for cuddles. It’s built for tall beans so it always fits multiple people and they are really just cute purry octopuses with their long limbs when they hug you. For the alphas it’s hard to join at first because lando will be close keeping a watchful eye over her boys, but she also knows that pack cuddles are good for their well being. Her omegas always glowing when someone joins their cuddle session because they aren’t always at the center of the pack with nico and max. Lando can’t help but feel proud of her omegas who everyone feels comfy with.
Oh pls! They are just so cuddly!!!
Their nests are incredibly soft and big enough for group snuggles! And they just wrap their long limbs around you and cling om while purring and everyone loves it! No one loves it as much ad lando ofc!! Sometimes people don't even realise she is in the nest with her Omegas cos they are wrapped around her completely so you can't even see her lol! And plss Alex and George being so proud when someone wants to join their nests cos they love being good to the pack 🥺

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?
I'm a sap so I love characters crying at each other. The other character seeing that first character cry for the first time. I'm also a sap for characters thinking the other is dead and being so relieved to see them alive. Also just casual physical affection and casual moments of grounding and reassurance. Catch me slipping hugs and hand holds and just gentle hands on the arm into about every fic possible.

So I'm currently working on an Ashes to Ashes fic that I'm very excited about and very eager to get done, even though progress is slow because I keep getting distracted. It's called Fallen Angel, and the title is a lot less metaphorical than one might assume lol. It's about Alex Drake rejecting/rebelling against Heaven and forcefully breaking out, knowing she may never be allowed to return, only to get lost in a void that no mortal soul is supposed to be in, exposed to horrors and torment beyond human comprehension, but refusing to give up and die (again). It's a lot more fun than it sounds, it has light hearted funny moments. And she'll get her happy ending eventually. And she has support from The World's Worst Divine Intervention (it's Ray, Chris, Shaz, and Alex, communicating with her in the void from Heaven via their dreams and starting a mini-revolution of their own in Heaven). (Alex is lost in the void, Gene is off in his own world, and Sam is consumed with against after gazing into the void and letting it gaze back when he tried to stop Alex leaving, so now Ray is in charge. Nothing could possibly go wrong.)
Anyway I'm very excited about this fic and I hope someone enjoys reading it as much as I'm enjoying working on it.
Here's a sneak peak from chapter two of it (even though chapter one isn't up yet but don't worry about it:
Annie sighed. “I dunno then. Maybe you should try to speak to her, Ray."
Ray blinked. “Me? What for?” He took a dismissive sip of his pint. “Don’t see how that would help ‘er.”
“Oh please, Ray,” Annie said, cajolingly. “Alex might listen to you.”
Ray stared at her incredulously for a good few moments. “...Y'what??” he spoke, at last.
Annie sighed again, deeply. It was fast becoming her signature move. “She doesn’t even know me,” she said, patiently, as though explaining something to a particularly slow six year old. “She's lost, and scared. You’re familiar. She knows you.”
“Yeah, that’s why she won’t listen to ‘im,” Shaz muttered into her own pint, while Chris made a noise somewhere between a snort and giggle.
“Alright, and you two can shut up an’ all,” Ray snapped, wheeling on them.
“I didn’t even say anything!” Chris protested, eyes wide like a wounded puppy.
Annie sighed for a third time in under a minute, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Give me strength,” she grumbled.

joe being adorable with kids again and pointing at the camera so the little baby would look in the direction of it. he also said bye to this little fellow by planting a kiss on his temple.
oh AND the new picture with alex actually has a cute backstory that ties in to a fans's encounter with joe. so during saturday, the fan gave him a gift which he loved and asked her for a hug (even though hugs were'nt allowed.) today, he mentioned to her how he talked about the gift with michael, a quiet place's director. turns out he talked to him about it during saturday night because he's wearing the same clothes he wore to the con that day. i thought it was the sweetest thing.
he loves his fans. he loves his fans a lot. he loves that we know who wesley is, he loves that we care so much. he knows we're not the ones spreading hate like that. even if his costar didn't tell him the entire truth or her part in it, he made sure to point out how the hate she got came from people spreading rumors about her with him.
so see, that last story about him liking a fan's gift....this is why we shouldn't let that other side of the fandom ruin things for us. because he's genuine. he's so genuine it's actually hard to believe but it's real. i know it hurts because the vqs essentially plotted this entire thing for a while now but fuck them. this is how miserable they are, how sad and pathetic they are. they have no life, no real friends, they haven't touched grass in who knows how long and saturday only proved it.
let's enjoy our content, focus on joe, focus on steddie (if you're a shipper like me) and carry on. block and mute people on twitter, create your own safe space. they thrive on attention. the less they get, the better.

When I started shipping them: after watching season 3 I came to AO3 in search of more Brakenight and was shocked to discover MelRuth was a thing. So I rewatched from s1 again. Excuse to wear your furs caught my eye but See You Around caught my soul and it has been a slow descent into madness ever since. So... April maybe? Feels like a lifetime haha
My thoughts: No thoughts only MelRuth! Ha. I really flip flop on the nature of them. I absolutely adore the idea of Ruth pining after Melanie the whole time, maybe they've had flings but nothing serious, they're friends until Ruth learns the truth and her heart breaks. But I also concurrently headcanon that they did have a relationship, some time between the bees and the start of S1. They broke up but obviously there's still feelings there. And after seven years on the train they've learned how to work together even despite those feelings. The See You Around scene is everything tbh. Melanie realising love is important after all, but Ruth is just too hurt. So hurt in fact that she had been willing to let her die at one point! But she does try to delay it, asking for a trial, and I believe she had a hand in Melanie's escape with Javi and Jinju. By the time Melanie goes to Breslauer, Ruth is having a big internal conflict because she's still SO angry but also Melanie might go away forever. When she agrees to look after Alex, she's cursing herself for not being able to forgive sooner. Saying yes is saying I love you. And the longer she is away, the more Ruth realises she still loves and needs her, after all she always has "melanie on her mind" and she can "feel her out there". But then Melanie is gone, and probably dead, and the train and its people need her. And she needs someone to make her happy (enter Mr Pike). Melanie coming back is a massive emotional shock, and the two struggle to reconcile. But the love and care is still there ("I'm not going to let you go alone am I"). Until Melanie suggests working with Wilford. And after everything... Ruth can't deal with that. At the end of the war, she wants to stay, oh god she wants to stay. But she promised to look after Alex, once, and she intends to fulfil that promise. I love you too much to stay... Okay this descended into headcanon a bit but I am feral for them and the tiny glances between them and idc what you say Melruth is real if I believe hard enough 😂
What makes me happy about them: THE PINING, the little touches, the glances, the Wilford Pin, the fact I would let either of them freeze off all my limbs.
What makes me sad about them: Ben. They never said a proper goodbye (or welcome back from the dead). THE PINING. The fact season 4 is going to kill me.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: when Ruth is in the engine/bunk room before the Milford reveal with no explanation! Caveat that I am currently writing a few things like this because it was easier and yes I'm annoyed at myself for it!
Things I look for in fanfic: at this point just them being in the same room together. Just any and all content of them together and being vaguely nice to each other. But above all I'm here for the E rated fics 👀
My wishlist: I don't know if this is for fic or for canon. For canon I just want them to acknowledge that there was something there once even if there's not now. And a good hug would be nice🥺. For fic I NEED a 100k word romance, yesterday. But I'll also take anything elaborating on their history together, small fluffy fics, smut (always), all the angst. I need an AU where Mel went to the B&B, an AU where Ben doesn't exist... All of it please.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: after a significant amount of reflection I would have to say Mel with Ben 😭. The set up is there and she does love him and they can be sweet together. Ruth is easier though. Ruth/Boki! I've said before I just want her to learn to love herself, but if she had to end up with someone I'm committed to Ruboki now. Or The Notary as an acceptable alternative. As long as whoever it is makes her happy. Happy Ruth is EVERYTHING.
My happily ever after for them: this post sums it up. Or you know, in twenty years time they are old and grey in a cabin in the newly terraformed warm spot and Melanie is digging in the garden and Ruth comes and puts her arms around her because she's about to go to a council meeting where Alex is the president of the new world, or something.
