Who did Glip and Eevee befriend in the art and tech spheres to be so untouchable ??? No doubt those in the industry that protect them sympathize with predators at best

Art spheres no. Glip used to be this way but fell out of grace with the big fluff logs dropped.

Tech and indie game communities however, are still partial to protecting Eevee because she plays up the 'It's all kiwifarms & transphobia' angle really well and wasn't ever actually married to Marl - loosening the impact of the BF logs on her reputation compared to Glip.

I'll use cohost as an example, because it's pretty blatant there.

Just look at the comments on this post on her cohost, and how she talks about her detractors.

....The post she's talking about, by the way, is only about Lain and Big Fluff. The 2 children Marl sexually abused. It's true that both kids posted on kiwifarms, but it's extremely manipulatively dishonest to refer to them both as just KF users.

Cohost btw, seems to be in her pocket. The one time I'm aware that someone called Eevee out on something, they got banned from the platform entirely nearly instantly.

The original comment was on this post of Eevee's. Eevee edited it out, but the same comment was shared on lolcow and had a link in it. Here is the tweet the banned commenter linked to, and relevant screenshots. Guess she didn't want people seeing this. I wonder why?

It was this comment to Eevee that pushed Glip to double down on wishing Jollys suicide attempt was successful, looking at the timing of everything.

Twitter sucks, but if Cohost is willing to look the other way at abhorrent behavior like wishing that someone who attempted suicide twice was successful....so long as the person doing that said abhorrent behavior is Eevee...but quick to drop the hammer on those that lightly point out that said behavior is beyond fucked up - then cohost is rotten at the top and isn't worth using.

SOLID. PROOF.#the books are beinf made to sell to kids who love fnaf and theorists who dont know better so they are written in ways that connect #to the games but cant state anything directly because theyre designed to sell not to give answers #im not gonna say youre being swindled but youre definitely a victim of clever marketing if youre treating the books like this #i highly doubt the book writers even know whats going on in the games half the time.

hm.. after giving it more thought i think i want elise to win this months sonic channel poll. its a tough choice because elise and merlina both only appeared in one game and havent been acknowledged since then but. sonic and the black knight had a mix of 2d and 3d cutscenes and elise has only ever appeared as a 3d model.. with that in mind i would really like to see a cute cartoony style drawing of elise. also considering the character thats already been decided to appear in the art is silver i think id rather see him interact with elise than merlina. also it would be so nice to see more sonic 06 acknowledgement that isnt just "haha wasnt this game terrible guys *insert picture of elise kissing sonic*" especially considering itll be portraying the most hated character from that game in a positive light. so yeah #elisesweep

other than joker, mr freeze probably has the best arc of all the villains in Arkham. Maybe Ras as well though a lot of his influence is subtextual (esp as he literally isnt himself IN Origins). i love freeze's story, and actually one of the reasons i also enjoy him in gotham knights is that they went the totally opposite direction with him. I appreciate that, as a spiritual successor, to make such a crucial and interesting change. Its a good interaction. Also riddlers arc when you include Origins is interesting. Tho tbh ive never done riddler stuff in Knight (im about to) so i cant actually comment on his full character there. I ignored him lol.

#Shitpost #Croc and Scarecrow despite like always appearing arent too dynamic. Which is fine!#hatter is basically like that too. Theyre there for Effect more than character arcs #theyre there for everyone elses arcs #i like Poison Ivys arc as well but she also wasnt in Origins #Harley was tho and her arc is fun #penguin also is just sorta typical #i WISH Anarky was in the other games. Hes so fucking strong in Origins imo. His final speech is super long and like. Hello???#atm honestly i cant even remember bane in Knight. I assume he is there but Bane is a regression vs progression as a character #which is fine plotwise really as they handled it in Origins #Im just rambling. These games are so interesting to line up together #the Arkham series is just a solid and interesting expierence really #I love how so many goons are just. Funny as hell #ok. Mental illness has increased by 50% because i finished one of my classic play throughs of 999. I am going to become much much more annoying for the next month or so

#999 #i mentioned last week that i got my beloved ps4 back and yeah i just had to play 999 cuz it had been SO LONG #*had only been like not even a full year*#unfortunately there was a lot of complications with the damn thing and essentially all the save data and hours put into zero escape was #completely wiped #so yeah i had to really replay everything which like im honestly fine with cuz its not like a personalized type game its straightforward #and i played every inch of the game to really get in all the details i forgot #dont even worry about that im totally fine mentally ahahahah...ha #anyways #in every playthrough I do of 999 i always go into it with the goal of getting myself to like or at least understand akane #i think this one was the most thought i put into it #i think some of my opinions of her were tainted by ztd which was the last ze game i played as of late #its very annoying cuz like you do get a lot more of her character there but also #you gotta sit through that catastrophe of a game #its just not worth it 😤#but whatever i think ive warmed up to her. i mean i never really HATED her or anything close to that but idk its like #the things i dont like about her are still there but they arent as annoying to me now #and the things i do like about her increased cuz idk i think ive just gotten smarter or more able to understand her #shes still far from being my fave cuz her personality is just not for me at all but #godDAMN shes such a good villain and character #i wanna study her forever the god complex she has is unhinged absolutely insane #yay! the characters in this game are all my funny guys i love them all! except that bastard ace ewww

gonna start a new tag 'half baked goods' for some of my story ideas that like. idk if i will ever execute but SOUND DAMN COOL in my head and im worried i'll forget about

anyway may i present: story idea about a crime story club/interest group that gathers to discuss like detective novels and the occasional true crime case from their region (and maybe through these discussions the audience gets a feel of how they think, e.g. one of them's the perfect logician type, one really love criminal psychology and analysing suspects motives, one is a really good communicator and is more into the storytelling part of crime stories/reporting, etc.) until one of them gets like, Actually Murdered and the rest of the group is called to assist in the investigation by police as the victims closest friends (as in, provide statements and eyewitness reports or whatever), and of course as crime nerds all of them start their own little investigations into Who Killed Their Friend, each going off in their own wildly different directions based on their own personal strengths (investigating the crime scene for physical evidence, interviewing the victims family/coworkers for a possible motive, bribing/manipulating the police investigators into revealing leads from the official investigation, etc) and as the story and their little investigations go on it gets revealed that the killer is very very likely another member of the club, so their investigations also become this mind game where they have to exchange information with each other to proceed but they're also not sure who to trust because they dont want to reveal to the killer that they're on their tracks

and to the audience it slowly becomes clear that each of them are in this little club because of/to escape from something from the rest of their lives (like, one of them is definitely neurodivergent and this is their special interest/hyperfixation) (but also for some of them its absolutely just shit life syndrome) and this investigation is slowly forcing them to confront that as the people around them realise how it's consuming their lives (and in the end the killer's motive is also tied to this Thing that they're avoiding/escaping from, like running away has become so important to them that they're willing to do anything including commit actual murder)

and maybe the final part of the story can be this knives out-esque perspective shift (spoilers for knives out btw) where like, at least one member of the club has actually figured out who the killer is and we're following the killer's pov as they try to cover their tracks and clear their own suspicion and even like, converting other members of the club to their side and helping to vouch for them and stuff (also if you go back and look at this character's 'investigation' from the earlier part of the story its actually reframed as them trying to conceal evidence/gaslight witnesses/throw the other members off the right track)

(also the police suck in this because of course they suck. like the police investigators are super slow and inefficient and susceptible to bribery. like partly to make the members' investigations more interesting but also just partly because that feels like it would make sense for the tone of this story KJDSHFKDSJHFKJSD)

#half baked goods #anyway what's the notes app? never heard of her #this is of course very very much inspired by the truth/whos the murderer #both of which i HIGHLY recommend if you like chinese variety shows like in general they're both so good #but also another inspiration is just a really good fanfic for the truth im reading rn on lofter #like especially this idea of 'if your friend committed a murder will you be able to Tell'#like not even a question of whether you'll consciously look the other way if you know your friend committed a crime #more like.. the immovable object of unconditional trust vs the unstoppable force of indisputable evidence #like yknow. ep 4 of the truth but For Realsies #one thing im starting to realise recently is that i REALLY like thinking about those kinda #stories about kinda screwed up people manipulating/playing mind games on each other #like ever since watching heroes ive become obsessed with like... a. sympathetic villains b. characters who arent quite right in the head #this concept will likely have both #the one problem with executing this is just that im really really stupid #every time i consume a crime story i literally just turn my brain off and wait for the denouement #the whole idea of each character thinking about crimes in different ways comes from those comments/metas about the truth/whos the murderer #on the strengths of the different cast members like guo qilin's logic vs zhou keyu's spacial reasoning vs liu yuning's divergent thinking #im just. highly doubtful of my own ability as a writer to like. adequately demonstrate something like that to an audience JKSDFHKJH

mostly set upon the whole idea that caine came from eden and tries to help everyone gain their wings (albeit doing a terrible job the entire time)

i contemplated caine being called "the creature" just for shits and giggles (and eventually went with it) since im absolutely certain everyone who ever meets him ever would be terrified for a little bit until they realize hes sentient; he doesn't understand that the name is supposed to be sort of derogatory

caine is the only one with wings because hes the only one who can canonically fly/float!

(and yes his head is supposed to be a dark plant . i like to think im big brain for this)

the reason why his dark plant head is tinted red btw . my thought process was basically "ah yes. red = good bcus eden :]" even though thats convoluted since everyone hates eden but that makes it better in a way. i think

constantly making their own prosthetics due to growing boredom with their previous ones (autism™) and also carved the designs into their mask themself

tallest OBVIOUSLY. like stupidly tall . has its advantages and disadvantages (like being able to steal things from gangle with no consequences . on the other hand. doorframes)

him being tall and having that be the only thing hes got going for him is absolutely hilarious to me and im leaning into that hard

he has a tail also, but its small and not visible from the chart

pomni > jittery jester (i had to look up "other words for anxious" for this.my intelligence is showing)

pretty much the only one i referenced real in game clothing for, which sort of fits! protag moment

full disclosure i drew literally all of this before looking into the details of the AU so this is 70% my interpretation of his original post but i need to explain my thought process so. here’s the post explaining the details of the actual AU!!! and below is what my brain made up on the spot

ok so belos finds tiny child luz and is like “fuck everyone. this is mine now” and treats her like a goddamn princess. to him, she is a Gift From God to remind him to stay on his Righteous Path. an innocent little girl who is just so bubbly and always tries to see the good in everything, including him. she is a reminder of how Pure and Good humanity is, and seeing as though she’s the literal only human he’s had any contact with besides caleb in 400 fucking years, he is never letting the demon realm corrupt her like it did to him.

she’s basically his Lamb and he the Shepherd, and because he’s so desperate to keep her “““pure”““ he strictly keeps her within the castle and even then not all of the castle is available to her. he keeps her contact with witches to an absolute bare minimum.

he entrusts her protection specifically to hunter, despite the fact he’s only 2 years older. his reasoning is “caleb did a pretty good job raising me so this’ll be fine probably.” when belos himself cannot keep an eye on her, it’s hunter’s job. luz and hunter end up being raised in a sorta similar situation to catra & adora from she-ra but they are actually siblings and not just best friends.

(if u havent seen she-ra, basically its their abusive caretaker creating a golden child + scapegoat dynamic, where one kid can do absolutely no wrong (which doesnt mean they cant still be abused/manipulated!!) while the other kid is blamed for literally everything that goes wrong. the caretaker also regularly pits them against each other to encourage competition & keep the all power in the caretaker’s hands.)

similar to catra & adora, the whole competition thing doesnt really work. luz is just too damn kind and too damn good for hunter to ever resent her, and she’s all he really has. because hunter is the scapegoat, he grows wise to belos’s manipulations WAY sooner. it’s easier to figure out when you’re being mistreated when you literally watch ur guardian treating ur sibling so much better than how they treat u.

unfortunately, because luz cannot help but see the good in absolutely everyone and can be empathetic to a fault, she doesnt realize belos’s game until she ends up sneaking out of the castle. she actually really loves belos and is thankful for him taking her in for a long time. she calls him uncle like hunter, despite belos nudging her towards seeing him as a father bcus he sees her as a pseudo-daughter. (but luz remembers her dad, and has no desire to replace him with someone else no matter how much she cares for belos)

belos does love & adore luz, he would do almost anything to keep her happy and “innocent” and “pure”, but not to the extent that he could still end up redeemed. he still manipulates & subtly emotionally abuses her to keep her in line, but it’s only when she sneaks out and meets eda the owl lady does she start getting clued into this. and once luz learns what belos has done to hunter it’s all fucking over.

hunter loves luz. she is his sister and always will be. but while he’s stuck to belos because of his duties as golden guard, she sees how green the grass is on the other side and doesn’t even hesitate to hop over there. watching her slowly grow more and more distant while she keeps sneaking out to visit with her new friends (eda, king, willow, gus, amity, etc.) is one of the most painful things hunter has had to deal with.

he feels betrayed at first, as if luz is replacing him with other people who arent broken like he is, and when luz actually leaves for good- belos lies to the public and says she was kidnapped- hunter is the one who leads the hunt to find her and bring her back home safely. when they confront each other, luz tries to do her whole dramatic speech about how wrong belos is and how he’s been lying their whole lives, but hunter already knows. the only reason he stayed was for luz, but she couldnt even stay from him? it fuckin hurts man.

they end up on opposite sides for a minute. hunter gains no satisfaction from trying to ruin this new life she’s found for herself but goddamnit, he has a job to do. he cant just defect. and then he defects after watching belos try to kill luz because she’s let herself become corrupted by the witches.

thats about all my brain got for this so far. TL;DR basically just listen to the “first time in forever” and “mother knows best reprise” and “broken crown” by mumford & sons and thats pretty much the gist of it.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck.” The one word spills from your lips repeatedly as you stare intensely into the screen of your phone. Your fuck buddy, Lee Heeseung had posted himself, in his all black fit with his hair slightly damp and messy. You couldn’t tell if you were upset, mad or amused but what you did know was that you wanted to give him the suck of his life. But who was he trying to impress with his story? Your focus on his story gets interrupted when you hear your roommate, Chaewon, squeal. Which gains all of your attention, of course, probably gained the attention of everyone who lived on the same floor as you two.

The peaceful moment is interrupted by the notification noise coming from your phone. Groaning as you turn yourself around and lift up the screen to meet your eye level.

This game was far more amusing than you thought it’d be. You lock your phone screen and wait for Chaewon in your shared living room. “Let’s go!” She yells enthusiastically.

One step in and the aroma of weed and beer dominates your nostrils. Your eyes roam around the house looking for a familiar face because Chaewon had met a cute guy out in the front of the house so now you were alone. Your eyes land on Jake in the kitchen, he waves, and you walk over. When you’re in arms reach, he hands you a cup of beer.

“You look good,” he compliments with a smug smile. Jake was cute, very cute but he was Heeseung’s best friend so any plan you wanted with him would be dismissed because he was also very nice. He was very committed to the concept of ‘Bro Code,’ which you respected.

“Thank you Jake,” you giggle before taking a sip out of the red plastic cup. You learn your body against the counter as you listen to Jake’s frustration over a girl.

“She gives me these signs but then she ghosts me. It’s annoying! How’s Heeseung though?” Jake asks, which surprises you. You were so focused on him talking about the girl, you don’t even know how he slipped Heeseung into the conversation.

“Heeseung? Well, he’s something.” You reply, eyes staring at the liquid in your cup.

“Better put a collar on him, did you see his story?” Jake laughs, gently pushing your shoulder as you laugh with him. “Oh. Speak of the devil.” You look up to ask Jake what he had meant but you’re already being pulled by your wrist across the house.

“Fuck! What the fuck? Let go!” You try to protest as you struggle loosening the grip. The hand lets go when you’re in a bathroom, you wait to see who the hell dragged you here as the figure locks the door. Once he turns around you curse yourself. “What the fuck Heeseung?!” You yell.

“Angel, you didn’t answer my texts. Didn’t even try to find me here and I see you talking to my best friend.” He says, you could tell he was tense. Why did he care? You guys weren’t anything official anyway, he had no reason to be caring but you also had no reason to be jealous.

“Why do you care? Move, let me go back.” You walk to unlock the door but you're pinned against the door before you can utter another word. Heeseung’s eyes meet yours, they’re dark, and full of lust. He looked mad, but he looked really hot at the same time.

“Why are you acting like such a brat for fucks sake?” He growls, moving one hand on your hip and the other cupping your jaw.

“Maybe if you hadn’t posted yourself for those other bitches.” You spit, turning your head to face anything but him. But he forcefully turned your head back to him. A smirk now on his face. Wow, you were one dumb motherfucker for admitting your jealousy.

“What? Was my angel jealous?” He says teasingly. You nod slowly, struggling to do so in his tight grip. “But baby, you made me all upset since you ignored me. Gonna make it up to me?” You nod with a smile on your face, knowing what he had meant. He smiles back before chasing your lips with his own. It doesn’t take 5 seconds before you’re kissing him back. As the kiss deepens, you push him back into the sink. You absolutely hated how weak you were for him. His teeth nip at your bottom lip so you allow his tongue to slip in. You cup his clothed dick with your hand which causes him to whine. Heeseung pulls back from the kiss and a string of saliva can be seen.

Lore Rekindled; The Lore Olympus that should have been

To be honest, I checked out the rekindled version before the original one and now having reading the original as well, it's extremely odd. Y'know goodbye volcanic high where the original was a mess but a group of 4chaners made a parody game which turned out to be of better quality than the original? This is like that but replace 4chan with tumblr users, mainly @genericpuff whose series is pinned in their tumblr blog where you can check all of the episodes, especially updated ones. In this post, I will be praising this series of how it fixes the problems of the original

The Pacing

One thing I notice about lore olympus and lore rekindled is the pacing. Not just the flow of the story but where it chooses to focus on. Now in lore olympus, the pacing is kinda a mess and its mainly to do with what it focuses on. An example is the magazine plotpoint; in the original, its basically kinda there in between doses to focus on other stuff like persephone and hades together, persephone's sa (i'll get to that later), eros story, zeus and hera etc...The flow generally isnt that bad per say (except for persephone's sa cuz that was way too quick) but for a story meant to be a romance between hades and persephone, you'd think it idk, it would focus on persephone and hades specifically, not eros which is another example of; its flashbacks. Eros specifically has such a dragged out flashback in episode 12 which we didnt need or at least with that much exposition when it should've naturally expand in the story and that's what rekindled does. The magazine plotline has turned into the first conflict of persephone and hades as we see how it affects their lives and relationships. This works for its pacing better because it doesn't give you too much stuff to jumble with, making the narrative more concise and easier to understand where the story is going. And with the flashbacks, rekindled cuts out the fat in the flashbacks from the original to a perfect balance where it gives exposition of the characters while also leaving mystery for the audience to be intrigued, my favourite one would have to be this (though it more of a nightmare than a flashback specifically speaking);

It's of persephone in a greenhouse her mother placed her in with this red eye thing following her from outside the greenhouse. I have no idea of this lurker if its her metaphorical rage or a danger in her life but either way, i am intrigued by its presentation.

The Characters

When reading lore rekindled and lore olympus, the characters are definetly an odd experience. For lore olympus, the characters arent exactly uh....great per say. I think the main reason for this is how their ultilised, with characters like eros, hera, hectate etc being there to mostly be a matchmaker for hades and persephone even if it was initially seen as wrong like with hera and hectate, be antagonistic as a way to have conflict between hades and persephone like minthe, demeter and recently leuce even if ones had reasons too like minthe with hades emotionally cheating on her and demeter because lets be honest, she had a point. Then there's hades and persephone, whoo boy where to start with them.

Hades starts off as a creep eyeing at persephone during a party, specifically at her body and still lusts persephone even being aware that shes 19 and he's 2000 years old. Also is a shitty boss, father AND contributes to slavery with it while being adressed in some way, doesnt change him which isnt good for a character that's meant to be the main protagonists love interest.

Persephone though, I can get the self insert vibes. From favouritism towards the story, being who most of the men in the story are attracted too, portrayed as a 'cinnamon roll' (they actually said that early on in the story, im not kidding) who cant do no wrong. She acts like a teenager rather than a young adult which makes the scenes where shes sexualised just more uncomfortable (and they already unnecessarily were) along with adding that uncomfortability to the romance

But with rekindled, they expanded on the characters much more than they originally were. Persephone for instance has turned from a 'sexy baby' legal teenager to an actual young relatable adult with agency and allows her to screw up (e.g, getting drunk on her own rather than eros drunking her). Her adult attitude makes the romance between her and hades not only more palpable, but also strays away from the infantilisation/uncomfortable sexualisation of her character which is nice to see. Hades also is written well in the series from how it acknowledges his faults while still making him likable. And thats the same for every character really, their personalities are much more fleshed out and nuanced which makes their characters feel real to life, gaining effectiveness for more emotional scenes with them. An interesting thing too is that they even expanded the magazine guy's character from making fake news for profit into feeling guilt over what they done, standing up for persephone which is a pretty nice change.

No Sa Plotline

Not like you cant have sa in your story ever but if you never planned it from the beginning and only did when people tell you that the scene you drew from your comic was sa then....maybe just not do it. Lore olympus does exactly that where while an attempt was made, it goes on to retcon it into making apollo (the guy who sa'd persephone) into a lesser evil like that would made a difference instead of just cutting it out from the very beginning. Lore rekindled thankfully just made apollo into his pilot version, a shitty bf but more likeable and expanded upon (which should have been his portrayal from day 1). His shittiness doesnt come up in the story, more like self absorbness/egotisticalness although with its recent chapter of the magazine guy offering persephone lunch, it might reveal some cracks or at least further down the story it will be revealed to us which futhers how effective rekindled character writing is in how its expansion of characters would give us the feels. That or portray him as not a good match for persephone, either way much better than the original.

Artstyle

Lore olympus has a pretty good artstyle (at least in s1/the early episodes, s3 is just kinda goofy) but lore rekindled has got a good artstyle which is on top, more consistent too. Here's some examples;

All in all, if you want to read lore olympus, i recommend you to read the lore rekindled one instead as it's better in every way. Give it a read.
