FnF Coven Head’s Addition

So @stormvanari and @devilsrecreation and I were talking about what a FnF mod for the coven heads might look like and we came up with two interpretations.

Either a gauntlet type scenario, called “Day of Funkin’ “ where the player has to fight each coven head in order of their appearance during the DoU and then having to fight a “secret” boss being Belos and The Collector to save the day. Their is a little cut scene animation where the draining spell kicks in and in the background of the Belo’s fight you see all the coven heads passed out on the ground.

Alternatively, have each “team” try to apprehend Boyfriend and Girlfriend who ended up in the Boiling Isles and are causing problems so Belos sends the coven heads to apprehend them. Each of them are separated into groups with Team RED being the first one you face off, followed by Team HAV, then by Team MOT.

Raine:

- Starting track

- Doesn’t use a mic but uses their violin instead. Their track is essential violin music.

- Goes easy on the player since they don’t want to “hurt” them.

Eberwolf:

- Middle track

- Ridding on a rat worm during their part.

- Their up arrow pose is basically the Stitch manically laughter pose when they exit the crater.

- Keeps their mic in their hair.

Darius:

- Ending track

- Doesn’t take Boyfriend seriously till they insult their outfit.

- “Beep Bop Bap” “Excuse me?!” *summons abomination goo*

- They summon their mic from abomination goo and the head of the mic is a literal an abomination head.

- Up animation has them turning their arm into a scythe.

Adrian:

- Starting track

- Does not want to be here and their idle animation has them looking at their nails in disinterest.

- Disgusted that Boyfriend thinks their better then him.

- Carries their mic with their tail. The bottom of the mic is a mirror like their amplifier earring.

- Their left arrow animation has them dismissing Boyfriend by doing the *limp wrist* pose while looking to the right.

- Ending cutscene has them disheveled like how they looked in King’s Tide.

Vitimir:

- Middle track

- Also does not want to be rapping a blue haired 6 year old at 12 am but they’re forced to be there so. *starts spitting sick beats*

- Downs a potion so that their toxic breath doesn’t poison everyone before the start of their battle.

- Their mic has a potion bottle attached to it. It’s colors change with the different arrows.

- Still has the breath fumes but they come out in different colors like the Garcello Mod.

- Also coughs periodically.

- Down animation has them pulling their mask down to expose their teeth.

- Ending cutscene has them out of breath and looks like their about to pass out.

Hettie:

- Ending track

- Their cutscene has them towering over Boyfriend with a predatory smile cause they got her attention with their skills.

- “Well, well, well kid, looks like you have some fire. But let’s see how you do against me. :)”

- Idle animation has them with their hand on their hip and twirling their mic in the other hand.

- Their mic is a knife.

Mason:

- Starting track

- Their mic is a hammer.

- Basically like Ruv track sound wise with the booming effect.

Osran:

- Middle track

- Summons a ghost to rap with them. The ghost’s mic is transparent and copies their movements.

- Their music has an echo to it due to said ghost.

Terra:

- Ending track

- Their mic is inside a rose they summon.

- Raps while standing inside her plant, like one she’s seen riding in the show.

- Has a predatory look on their face while rapping.

- Opening cut scene has them surround Boyfriend and Girlfriend in thorns to keep them from escaping now that they caught her interest.

- “Well sprout, while that was an amusing show I’m afraid I need to put an end to your trouble making. I do hope you put up a good fight.”

So there's gonna be chaos after Belos' death, and people are going to need structure, they're going to look to for guidance. So I can see people temporarily resuming the coven system form of government for the sake of simplicity, until they can all repair and then figure stuff out. So given what we've seen of Terra, Adrian, and Vitimir, what if they tried to run for election as the new Emperor of the Boiling Isles; Everyone was betrayed and targeted by Belos, so it's easy and not really untrue to hide under the defense that they also didn't know better and meant well.

I'm just imagining it now; The Coven Heads agreeing to an election to prevent a messy war, competing over the role of new, interim Emperor, and vying for control in a mostly-legitimate way. Adrian obsesses over getting his campaign videos and presentations right, but his notoriety as a bad and incompetent boss quickly spreads and he becomes like that Jeb Bush meme. Hettie Cutburn utilizes her E-girl status and understanding of social media to cultivate a decent following.

Given Abomatons were present during the failed sabotage, I like to think they have the ability to record footage, and Alador released the footage of the CATTs trying to prevent the draining spell to give them validity. Mason would've been a popular candidate, being seen as a witch of the people, but he's not sure if he can trust his own judgment after misplacing his trust in Belos; So instead he throws his support behind the CATTs. There’s accusations of staged footage but some people were able to notice the commotion from below, and Mason’s support adds trust, but of course others like Terra and Vitimir will attempt to discredit.

Osran is forced to drop out early from the election because everyone places particular responsibility and thus blame on him for failing to predict Belos' treachery. Kikimora would've attempted to run for election given her previous role as Belos' right hand, and bring up the fact that she saved everyone by introducing King to the Collector; However, the kids at Hexside made sure to keep her in the dungeons to prevent this. And thank goodness for that, as she considered spinning the narrative that the draining spell was only because of the CATTs’ sabotage, and that Belos is being slandered (so as his confidant Kikimora can preserve his image to hitchhike on it).

In the end, at least one of the CATTs is elected (maybe Darius since Eber is fairly nonverbal and Raine has stage fright), and there's a bit of awkwardness in that a lot of citizens don't consider the idea of a dictator to be inherently flawed, and are assured that this new one is an actual good guy so there's nothing to worry about; So then you have the CATTs using their power to pass legislation that lessens it, and results in the council system that the writers confirmed as canon.

Technically, nothing's saying Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf are the ONLY members of our confirmed council (signified by their Titan badges); For all we know, Hettie, Mason, and Osran are included given they're not depicted among the coven heads who clung to the old structure for power. Just because they didn't show up in the epilogue doesn't necessarily mean they aren't up to anything; It's just that Doylistically speaking, the epilogue is meant to check up one final time on characters the audience was actually introduced to and thus familiar with!

More commonly known as “Empress Hecate”

Or “Luz”

Child of The Titan AU

that’s literally what it’s called, sue me.

Okay, so this is the part where I talk about this AU. If you wanna know more, keep reading! If you don’t, well uh, leave?

This won’t be long cause I’m not going over the whole story. Lol.

Background:

If you’re too lazy to read, allow me to summarize it. Luz is captured by Belos, and she believes that Eda and the others will come to save her.

But in COTT (Child of the Titan AUGH I like this name), Luz is not saved. A year later, a rebellion forms, and it’s led by the Clawthrone sisters and they’re ready to end Belos’ tyranny. But they’re also consistently looking for Luz. Eda searches for three more years until she forces herself to stop as it’s becoming unhealthy. Then, the rebellion organizes an attack on the throne. They fight, yada yada, Belos dies. They search for Luz a little while before they’re swarmed by scouts, and they’re tired from fighting Belos, so they leave. Thinking that they won.

I won’t talk about what happened to Luz in that span of time, as you might find out when I write the fic.

I will say five things;

1. Hecate can use magic like a witch, but it’s unstable and requires a lot of energy.

2. Palismen. BUT! Stringbean!!!

3. Hecate hates everyone, and everything expect for Hunter. Hunter’s okay. 👍

4. She wants to make the Isles better.

5. She wants to go home, and won’t hesitate if she has to fight anybody in the Rebellion.

Speaking of the Rebellion, let’s go over who’s all in it, shall we?

The Rebellion

I haven’t posted in a while. Have my TOH Headcanons:

Eberwolf is the only one allowed to touch Darius’ cloak. Anyone else so much as tries and they’ll be inches away from death via abomination scythe

Eventually Hunter becomes the only OTHER person besides Eber who can touch Darius’ cloak

Eber loves to piss off Darius. But they’re still mindful of Darius’ boundaries so before Eber climbs onto him, they’ll wipe off their shoes or whatever dirt they have on their body before

Darius greatly appreciates this gesture. Even if it doesn’t work and there’s still muck on his cloak after. He just won’t complain

Adrian is a St. Epiderm kid. I mean, just look at him. Though he only chose St. Epiderm because he thought Glandus and Hexside’s uniforms were trash.

You think Terra is terrifying? You haven’t met Miss Healer Witch. Hettie Cutburn is the most feared of the coven heads. You’d think someone with the title of “healer” would be caring but no.

One time Vitimir tried to trick her with a rat-transformation potion and he “went missing” for a week.

One time Adrian and Darius got into a fight and Adrian insulted Darius’ work ethic.

Eber: No one messes with my big brother unless it’s me!

Adrian found a swarm of firebees in his room that day. He came to the next Coven Head meeting covered in horrible red swollen bumps. God forbid he goes to Hettie to heal him.

Cue Darius and Eber smirking at each other.

Adrian has a boyfriend that lives in Bonesborough that is the definition of sunshine. Lower class, but a loveable dork nonetheless. Not the Adrian would ever tell anyone that.

Adrian is a Maladaptive Daydreamer. His biggest triggers are mirrors and movies

More angsty one: Terra had a wife that died of natural causes. She never remarried again.

With Robyn released, I thought I would add in the little lore I have for Vitimir. Hopefully this aligns enough. It should, I did the math. Math is math-ing for this (RIP College math). We'll have to see.

Also, is it me, but does anyone wanna see him without that cloak thingy? What is his leg anatomy? Is it like that all the way to his hips or halfway up his thighs? The world will never know.

Sit down for a while with this one.

Vitimir was born to his mother, in the Potions coven, and his father, in the Construction coven. Both of his parents were very absent in his life, too busy with their work and would sometimes completely forget they had a son. This left Vitimir very lonely and touch starved. Adding in his, then mild, acid breath, he wasn't good at meeting others.

Since he was affected by his parent's absence, he would try to do the most outstanding work in school to get their attention. He even won a First Prize award in a Potions competition, but nothing broke their concentration from their work. However, he was very good in the Potions track and was the top student.

It wouldn't be until he accidentally burned a student with his acid breath that they would turn their attention to him. The student had pulled off his mask and got their hand breathed on. To avoid a lawsuit (do they have lawsuits in the Boiling Isles???), they transferred their son so they don't have this small problem interrupt their work flow. Unfortunately, because of a rumor, Vitimir was outcasted by all of the students.

Except one: Robyn, a Bard student. (What's up with Covenheads x Wild Witches being a Bard and something else at one point?) They would hit it off immediately, especially since Robyn wasn't scared of his breath. He felt bad for Robyn sharing his food each day, but he didn't have a choice. His mother doesn't care enough to send him with food.

Vitimir was the one to find the cave for their studying. Being outside allowed him to take his mask off and they could sit at a safe distance. He would revisit the place in the future for the memories and to brew potions in silence. That would also be the place where Robyn suggested him wearing a hat. Vitimir would take it to heart.

Once joining the Potions Coven at 18, he slowly rose through the ranks. Even with big achievements, his parents still turned a blind eye to him. And with Robyn being a Wild Witch, other witches in his coven were weary of him. His free time slowly grew shorter to the point of being unable hanging out with Robyn. But he made a somewhat friend in the form of a terrifying Healing witch, Hettie.

They wouldn't see one another until years later, and it wasn't a happy reunion.

By the time he was a Coven Head, he hadn't seen or spoken to Robyn in years. Belos didn't name the Wild Witches he wanted captured (and later petrified), so it was to his surprise when he used his acid breath and Robyn's pained voice struck his ears. He was stuck in shock, even as Robyn was taken down by the other Heads and he called out for him. The conflicting mindsets of helping him and capturing Wild Witches hurt him.

Especially the last words he had said. "I thought we were friends! I guess I was wrong". Those words hurt the worst among his yelling and pleading.

Despite Robyn flying off to Titan knows where, Vitimir hoped to see him again. He had a few glimpses of Witches that looked like him, but it was just his mind playing tricks (or the after-effects of a potion he tried on himself). Nevertheless, he continued his work as a Coven Head, believing the paradise that Belos promised to them.

That turned out to be a lie on the Day of Unity. In pain and loosing consciousness, he could see Robyn in the distance, watching them. He preferred that to be his karma for betraying his only friend. The next moments happened so fast. The draining spell stopped, a child was floating in the sky, and he was suddenly turned into a puppet with the other Heads (minus Terra).

After the Collector changed the citizens back, Vitimir reunited with his parents, who had just realized their son is a Coven Head. He rejected their attempt at an apology and sought after Robyn. They avoided him, making him truly feel alone while everyone is feeling safe and happy.

He would eventually get a palisman from the replanted and replenished palistrom trees, and get help from Mason to build a home in the woods secluded from everyone. Well, until he finds Robyn again. That's for later tho. Later.

This boy has baggage and slight trauma, but that's OK. Post-Belos is where he heals mentally. Better make a therapy coven because most of the Boiling Isles is gonna have to talk through all this trauma.

Episode 1 (Third Wheel)

Introduction to the main character Darius and his goals, problems, family and friends. One of the problems is that his best friend Alador and Odalia start ignoring him and excluding him. Raine wants to find a solution by searching for new friends. They end up taking part in a school play where they soon meet their new friends.

Episode 2 (School Play)

So Darius and Raine participate in the school play, but while Darius keeps complaining about the script, Raine has to fight their stage fright as Eda has become ill and cannot comfort them during the school play. Nonetheless, they have to team up with the two new students Adrian and Hettie. Hettie seems really open to making new friends, but Adrian is very skeptical about the two as he has a passion for acting, he would be very mad if someone screwed up his performance...

Episode 3 (School Trip)

Days later, Darius bumps into Adrian and Hettie again during a school trip. They decide to go for a walk and talk about recent events when they come across a cave that Hettie wants to check out. Even though it's dangerous, they go inside and explore. In the cave, they noticed an egg all alone with no parents nearby. They ignore it and don’t think much about it, but when they found out that this was a Slitherbeast's cave, they just want out as quick as possible. Darius didn't want the egg to get eaten, so he tries to save it, which leads to Adrian and Hettie getting captured by the beast. Meanwhile, Raine and Eda are just talking when Eda mentions a witch who also goes to potions class.

Darius wants to be the best in the abomination class, but that's not so easy when you have a rival in class. His new friends help him train for an upcoming test and become the top student.

Arguing over who should keep the egg, they decide to make it a challenge. Whichever team wins can decide who takes care of it.

When Adrian got sent to the Helping Enhance Coven Knowhow he wants to prove he’s way better than everyone else. But as an illusionist and with his old bullies following him, it’s hard to get that attention.

Curious as to why Vitimir always speaks badly of himself and never talks about his family they meet Vitimir's sister. As she tells the kids the tragic story of the past, it begins to make sense.

Episode ? (Disguise)

Vitimir wants to spend time with his sister, but his adoptive parents don't even allow him to be near her. Adrian disguises himself as Vitimir so he can enjoy the days with his sister without fearing that his parents are looking for him.

Mason want his parents to see that he’s also good at something like his cousin Harvey but nothing seems to work. His friends suggest to participate in a Flyer Derby tournament. What he doesn't know is that his cousin is also participating and is many steps ahead of him.

Terra tells Adrian about her school days while Osran also tells Vitimir about his school days. It seems that the two stories have a connection.

Hettie is desperate to find a cure for Vitimir’s disease. As they work together, they grow closer and gain trust.

Other people who might be in the room: *In the corner watching the scene all play out*

“Oh my Titan- Graye I’m going to end you!” Snapped Darius.

Adrain kept frantically waving his hands, hoping to bring back the baby.

“I swear I didn’t mean to-“ he started. He usually much more composed than this, and far more cool and arrogant, but he had Darius looming over his head like a lamp.

Eberwolf shook his head with a noise which obviously had negative undertones, he couldn’t find Hunter either.

Orsan and Vitimir both glanced at each other, wondering if they should intervene.

Mason spoke up “Maybe we should help?”

Vitimir gave the scene on the other side of the room, and lingered on Darius’s angry face.

“No- I don’t want him to shout at me.” Said the head of the potion coven.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the castle, a group of scouts where wondering why Head witch Deamonnes infant son had appeared in the laundry room.

I like to think that Vitimir's palisman might be a possum.

they're literally two trashy silly guys who does something like that

(without any sound) AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH.

his name might be Cod (dunno why) and he would like to hide in Vitimir's box. despite there are explosives and poisons and-

the Potions head witch probably isn't really the best in keeping little creatures, but he would try at least. Cod would be quite smart yet timid and he would know what's dangerous and what isn't (in his case it would be very useful, knowing who's his owner)

Cod would like biting Vitimir's fingers. just because he would want to do it! Vitimir and Cod would have a very strong connection. and so, Vit would be scared of even thinking about potential losing his palisman.

(there would be some precedents)

... though it's still sad to think that Belos would probably destroy Cod as he had done with other covenheads' palismans.

I meant to do this MONTHS ago but I want to talk about the Coven Heads a bit now that they've all shown up at least a bit in Outsiders.

Let's just start with the three at the Glandus Incident.

Mason - Stern Head Witch of the Construction Coven. He's very good at what he does and has a bit of a perfectionist streak. He's a newer Head Witch and is quite proud of the title. He works well enough with the other Head Witches but he's not going to let them boss him around or speak down to him. Which generally puts him at odds with Adrian, Vitimir, Terra, Osran and even Darius.

He's generally a kind person but his strict adherence to his own personal beliefs, combined with being very openly hostile to anyone that he believes is in the wrong don't always make him come across that way.

He is Steve and Matt's father, which hasn't come up in the actual story yet but its a thing that's true. Steve and Matt are half-brothers meaning that they have different mothers, but the same father. He's proud of both of his boys. Does he know Matt is Dual Tracking? Probably not.

Raine Whispers - We all know and love Raine. An incredibly powerful Bard with an equally strong sense of justice. As a member of the Rebellion, Raine has to pretend like they are part of the Coven Machine, but cannot bring themselves to actually hurt anyone just to keep up appearances.

They are also the leader of the Bards Against the Throne and are fiercely protective of its members. It drives Raine mad listening to Darius making snide comments at their expense. The trio of Bards might not be as strong as Head Witches, but Raine believes fully in their potential and always seeks to nurture that potential.

As a talented actor, Raine pretends to be much more meek around the other Head Witches and Belos himself. With an overbearing presence like Terra always hovering over them, its easy for them to appear more timid and weak.

Speaking of Terra, their relationship to her is pretty simple. They absolutely hate the woman. She has involved herself in their life as far back as high school. She's even constantly vouched for Raine's ability while, in the same breath, infantilizing them. It's led to an overwhelming belief among the Coven Heads that Raine only got the position because of Terra.

However, as much they can't stand her, Raine can't help but feel like a helpless kid in her presence. One day they'll work up the courage to speak the truth directly to her face, but for now...

Terra Snapdragon - The ever-confident Head of the Plant Coven. She's held the position for decades now. Every year it is speculated that she'll finally retire and name her replacement but it never happens. Terra intends to hold firmly onto the role until she finally gets what she deserves. And to that end, everything is fair game. There's nothing too cruel or too petty.

Her age and experience put her a notch above even her peers. Despite her age her magical power hasn't weakened at all, even if her body has a bit. She looks down on pretty much everyone, viewing herself as the most skilled, most powerful, most beautiful, most... everything.

With the exception of Raine, she doesn't really get along with anyone. The others are either too young to be taken seriously or too weak for her to even consider listening to.

She even views herself as superior to Belos. She acknowledges his position in the world, but thinks of him as a lowly brute who she can effortlessly manipulate into doing what she wants.

Her relationship to Raine is more complicated than she'd like. Having never had any kids of her own, she legitimately views Raine Whispers as her legacy. This bright-eyed and endlessly talented kid who she took under her wing and boosted up to the very top! She will do whatever it takes to keep Raine on the right path and protect them... in her own ways.

However, any care she has for Raine is ultimately swaddled by her own selfishness. The core of the matter is that she views Raine as an extension of her own prowess and ability so, truthfully, her grip on them is just her trying to puff herself up further. Not that she sees it that way.

Thinking about the four head witches we never got an episode for.

Thinking about how Hettie was going to be a creepy doctor with an interest in bloodwork, and she was the head of the Healing Coven.

Thinking about how Vitimir was going to be ignorant of lab safety, and he was the head of the Potions Coven.

Thinking about how Osran was going to be senile, and he was the head of the Oracle Coven.

Thinking about how Mason was going to be a solo worker, and he was the head of the Construction Coven.

Dang it, we deserved their spotlight episodes! They’re the only other characters in the show that have important roles, and we never got to see them play their part!

Interestingly, there seems to be an even 50/50 split of witches and demons amongst the coven heads. You’ve got four demons (Hettie, Vitimir, Osran, Eberwolf) and four witches (Raine, Darius, Terra, Mason) with Adrian being the odd one out, numerically speaking... As the ninth he should be a tiebreaker, except he seems to be a hybrid of both! Belos really said he was gonna equally discriminate against and wipe out both witches and demons huh.
