Bob Sheldon Headcanons
Tumblr media
WARNING(S): Mentions of alcohol abuse, physical abuse, death; got angsty towards the end there god damn—
Has an older brother named Gordon who moved away to go to law school, they’re a little over 4 years apart. They were never really close, due to their father creating unnecessary competition between them since they were younger. He doesn’t like talking about him much.
Mr. Sheldon would always compare Bob to Gordon, saying that Bob “ought to be more like his big brother instead of screwing around all the time.” Overtime Bob grew to resent his old man a whole lot.
Mrs. Sheldon is a chain smoker, she tried her best to hide it from the family but eventually Bob found out. Most of the time after she gets into a fight with her husband, she locks herself in one of their bathrooms, opens the window, and silently lights a cigarette as she stews by herself. One night she forgot to lock the door and Bob walked in on her. He promised he wouldn’t tell dad.
He tended to favor his momma over his daddy, she spoiled him more and he felt she was always easier to talk to than dad.
His parents have a decent age gap, his mother being eleven years younger than his father. They’d known each other since they were kids, his dad was best friends with one of his mom’s brothers growing up.
Being spoiled rotten with tons of cash throughout life has its pros and cons. Despite always coming off as cocky and entitled, deep down bob hated being a soc. At the age of 18 he already had all the money, nice clothes, popularity, and dr*gs he could ever want, so why even try?
He had no goals for himself, didn’t want to go to college, didn’t want to work, he could really care less about all that. He had a tuff car and he was dating one of the hottest gals in school, that was all that was important to him.
He met his best friend, Randy, in kindergarten. They went to catholic school together, they’re parents even get along well. Both of their childhoods were spent visiting each other’s houses and going to family cookouts often.
His dad forced him to join a baseball league in seventh grade, even though Bob expressed he didn’t like it his dad made him stick with it for a few years. He was eventually kicked off the varsity team his sophomore year in high school for excessive drinking, along with constantly butting heads with his teammates and the coach.
The only good thing he got out of baseball was watching Cherry Valance preform with the cheerleaders at his games, that’s how their relationship started.
He’s secretly blind as a bat, but he refuses to wear glasses. Bob found out he desperately needed glasses in the third grade. once all the kids in his class seen him with those thick-brimmed, magnifying glasses it was all over. he was teased ruthlessly to the point where he just stopped wearing them and never put them on again.
“What happened to those god awful goggles, Sheldon?”
“Psh. They were fake I wore em as a joke.” 😅
^ That forced him to sit in the front of class a lot so he didn’t have to struggle as much to see the board. Even though the poor b*stard was blind the entire time, it made him used to getting called on by the teachers and chatting with his classmates. He was one of the most popular boys in town in no time.
Mr. Sheldon slowly became an alcoholic as his boys grew up. He went from one glass of scotch at night to taking a shot immediately when he wakes up in the morning and being plastered by the afternoon. Usually he’s a sluggish drunk, but god forbid he gets to drinking when he’s mad.
His old man was terrifying when he was both intoxicated and livid. He never put his hands on his wife but there have been multiple drunken episodes where he either destroyed sh*t in the house... or he’d beat Bob.
If you were to ask Bob if he would rather get hit with a belt or his dad’s hands, he would pick the belt. Even the metal part hitting him was no where near as painful as his father’s closed-fist strikes with his gold rings. If Bob had a good buzz on it numbed the pain a bit, so he tried his best to be hammered before he got home most nights.
His mother never stepped in or said anything about it, she’d clean up her husband’s mess and go to bed. The next morning the family would act as if it didn’t happen. They had to maintain their pristine reputation of course, wouldn’t want the neighborhood to know both Mr. Sheldon and his youngest son had drinking problems. Bob eventually couldn’t even stand his mom anymore. He hated them.
Mrs. Sheldon hated herself too, and her husband. She knew her baby boy was f*cked up because of them, the guilt ate away at her every day. Deep down in her heart she knew her son was drinking and causing trouble because of how he was brought up— how he was being treated at home... and she did nothing about it.
The mixture of bullies at school and his own personal bully at home molded him into being the arrogant and angry a*shole we’ve come to know. No one would be able to hurt him if he just beat them to it and hurt them first... right?
One night things got really bad, Bob’s report card came in the mail while he was out on a date with Cherry. His daddy was displeased, to say the least, 3 bold F’s sat on the paper.
“That no good son of a b*tch is lucky he ain’t home.” Mr. Sheldon spat as he slammed the report card on the dining room table, his wife visibly flinched.
When Bob got home that night he was already fired up, some greasers were trying to make a move on Cherry and Randy’s girl, Marcia, at the Nightly Double. The last thing he expected when he got home was to see his mother sweeping up broken glass while nursing a busted lip and a black eye.
They held eye contact for a long moment, neither of them said a word. His mother looked at him with so much pain, so much regret in her eyes, tears silently rolled down her cheeks. Bob turned around and left wordlessly.
He picked up a few of his friends, stopped by the liquor store, then began to look for some trouble. He immediately drove to the east side of town to look for some greasers to mess with, and after only fifteen minutes of cruising his eyes landed two younger boys from the drive-in earlier that night.
“Jackpot.” He slurred to himself as he turned his car onto the grass and pulled up to the park.
Whoever wasn’t helping Bob restrain the greaser he was drowning was beating the second boy in the grass. Every now and then Bob would pull the kid out of the water only to shove him back in almost immediately. He held him under the water, the cold liquid splashed everywhere managing to soak everyone near the fountain but he didn’t care... he couldn’t feel a thing.
The other greaser was shouting, his pals continued to egg him on as he continued swing the greaser’s head back and forth wildly under the water. He didn’t even know what anyone was saying, he wasn’t paying attention, all his focus was directly on hurting the individual in his grasp.
Red. Everything was fine until Bob noticed the water was changing colors. His ears were ringing, all he could hear was the faint sound of footsteps rapidly getting lower and lower, farther away. There was no more yelling, no more voices.
“Did I k.ill him?” He thought to himself, immediate regret and fear flooding over him.
He let go of the kids shirt and fell over with a soft thud, a sharp pain erupted from his torso. His hand lightly touched the left side of his ribs and there it was... warm, red liquid coated his fingertips after he pulled his hand away. It was then he noticed the other greaser, the tan boy frantically pulled his friend out of the water and laid him down on the cold concrete.
“P-Pony? Ponyboy?” He shook violently, his right fist held a switchblade tightly. “Oh god... what did I do... what did I do.”
Bob watched him slowly sink to the ground, his back resting against the side of the fountain as he began to sob. His eyes flickered to the unconscious kid, Ponyboy. He didn’t understand how his body went from hot to cold as fast as it did, the reality of the situation was crashing down on him like a ton of bricks, he knew he was going to die.
He looked up at the sky and took in a strangled breath before wincing in pain. To his left he noticed his flask— his dads old flask, it was his eighteenth birthday gift. The thought of his father’s proud face as he handed it to him that day made Bob sick. He reached for it, the cold metal on his palm soothed him a bit. He weakly unscrewed the cap and went to take a sip, only to realize it was empty. Johnny watched him the entire time with a horrified gaze, but Bob didn’t seem to notice.
“Damn... that’s a shame.” The Soc grumbled to himself.
He tossed it, making it land a few feet away in the grass. His attention returned to the starry sky, a light feeling crept its way in his chest. He couldn’t tell if that was just him dying or if it was something else, but after eighteen years of being in this world his finally took the time to stop and look at how beautiful the sky was for the first and last time. He was scared, he didn’t want to go so soon, yet at the same time... he was relieved.
“Wow...” Bob sighed, “Ain’t this something else.”
His vision began to blur, tears— or was that also death? He felt the salty streams creep past his eyelids and run down the corners of his eyes. He was ready.
With one final breath, he passed away. His eyes never closed, he died looking at the stars.

The Silver Dragon
Peasant! Jungkook x Reader, Daechwita! Yoongi x Reader
Historical AU featuring the whole OT7,Moderate violence, Treason, Royal family drama
Word count: 3.6k
a/n: This was so fun to write i keep surprising myself with the sh!t i come up with
You were taking your morning walk while being followed by your entourage. Your silk hanbok shimmers under the bright sunshine shining down on Hanyang, Joseon’s capital. “Good morning, my lady!” A group of scholars led by Kim Taehyung greets you. “A good day to walk within the palace walls, am I right?” He comments, a sly smile graces his handsome face. “What’s that supposed to mean?” You raise an eyebrow at him. He laughs as he tightens his grip on his books. “Oh, nothing, my lady! Have a good day.” He rushes before whispering “please don’t let us catch you scaling the palace walls again, my lady. Your brother, the crown prince already threatened to kick us out if we try to cover for you again!” He pulls away and bows gracefully. You have been sneaking away from the palace lately, disguised in peasant clothing. Court life has been extremely boring, you were looking for an adventure. As a daughter of a king and a concubine, you played a little role in running the kingdom. You were to be married off to someone to strengthen ties with the kingdom and expected to rear sons. Your life would be over before it began.
You and your entourage arrive at the palace’s main courtyard where you see your brother and his troops preparing their horses and cargo wagons. “Are you going somewhere?” you approach your brother. “Yes, we are going to Gyongsang. There are rumors of rebel troops stirring there. Haven’t you heard?” he speaks while securing the saddle to his horse. “Ah is that so? I wouldn’t know the latest rumors, really…” You try to be nonchalant. “You’ve been sneaking out of the palace for a while now, I’m sure you’ve heard a couple of rumors out there?!” he slams a leather bag, startling you. Aigoo, everyone’s out to get me today! You thought to yourself. “Yah! You think I won’t find out?” his hands are on his hips now. His troops try their best to avert their eyes from the royal quarrel. His captain, Park Jimin, who had witnessed this several times only rolls his eyes. Your brother leans closer to you. “I had you followed last week. I know you’re meeting someone. A peasant boy. y/n, This is no time for playing around. Something big is going to happen very soon. I know it. So you better start taking your life seriously.” He mounts his horse and instructs his troops, turning back on you. “Something big?” You wonder to yourself. --- Later in the day, you return to your quarters. There is no other way to pass the time than to do embroidery or read a book on poetry. You’ve memorized every single poem in all 12 volumes of classic poetry in your little bookshelf. You sigh to yourself as you pulled out the last book tucked at the corner of your shelf.
Classic poetry volume 13
Your eyes widen at the book’s header. Since when did classic poetry get a 13th volume?! You flip the pages to find it empty, except for the last page, which contained a single stanza.
“The moon will sink twice And the silver dragon will rise Bearing the black stone And will begin the rise of Joseon”
You rush to visit the royal shaman, bringing the 13th book with you. “What does this mean?!” Tossing the book to Hoseok, one of the royal shamans in training. He was nodding off on his desk while studying. Your sudden intrusion startles him, causing him to bounce from his seat. “Huh what?!” he clutches his chest. “Classical poetry only has 12 volumes. Why do I have a 13th one?” Hoseok flips through the pages of the book to find it empty. “My lady, this is just an empty journal…” You take the book from his hands, startling him again. He’s right. Even the title had disappeared. You repeatedly flip through the pages, getting more aggravated. “My lady, are you alright? You're scaring me…” “But there was something here!” You yell. “Silver dragon bearing the black stone!” What does it mean? Hoseok stares at you for a minute before reaching for his brush. He writes down the words in his elegant handwriting. “i-I’ll see what I can find about this…. For now maybe you need to take a rest, my lady. You seem unwell…”
You didn’t have the appetite for dinner that night. You took what you could from the food served to your quarters, wrapping them up before getting dressed in your peasant disguise and sneaked out of the palace. This was your first time leaving at night so you were a little nervous but you made it anyway. Walking through the muddy pavements of Hanyang’s peasant city, you make your way to the familiar hut you’ve always visited when you sneaked out. Jeon Jungkook’s house. Well, it’s not really his, he shares it with several orphaned kids and some around his age. “Kook..?” The hut was dark and quiet, only one candle illuminating the small room. You let yourself inside before spotting Jungkook, the peasant boy you loved, raiding through his chest of belongings. “Y/n?! What are you doing here? its late!” he was evidently surprised. “I really wanted to see you. Plus my brother is travelling to Gyeongsang. Is that a bruise on your cheek?!” You rush to cradle his face marred by a dark bruise on his cheekbone. He smirks before saying “Oh princess, you should see the other guy.” “Who was it?” “Seokjin.” “Again?!” You tell him off. This no longer comes as a surprise to you as the two always bicker at almost any petty topic they choose. “Y/n, what are you doing here?” Jungkook’s tone suddenly went serious. He was unwrapping the cloth that was tied around a long item. He tosses the wrapping to reveal a sword. “Why, what’s going on? Where are the kids?” You look around the empty hut. “Where did you get that?!” “It belonged to my father. Y/n, Listen to me. I need you to go to Seokjin and ask him to take you with him. He’s headed to Gwacheon. I will meet you there as soon as I can.” “What? What’s going on? I thought we were eloping together?!” “There’s no time to explain.” Jungkook puts on a quiver full of arrows over his shoulder and a bow on the other. He blows out the candle and pulls you out of the house. “Do as I say. I will find you in Gwacheon.” He pulls you in for a quick kiss before winking and running to the other way. It was dark and the pathways were empty. During the short walk to Jin’s house, you didn’t encounter a single soul. It scared you. “Jin?” You knock at the wooden door of his tiny hut. It was dark. He was probably asleep. “Seokjin, its me. Kook sent me, and asked me to come with you to Gwacheon?” You were unsure of Kook’s instructions. There was no answer. You pried the door open. The house was completely dark except for the moonlight streaming through the holes in the hay roofing. He wasn’t there. His things aren’t there. He already left for Gwacheon. Confused and tired with all the fuss going on, you walked back to the palace, climbing its walls, and walking straight to your quarters, not bothering to hide from the royal guards. You slept a dreamless sleep.
You jolted awake by the sudden noise from outside your chambers. There were muffled screaming. And then silence. You were too scared to move. You wrapped yourself with the blanket, staying perfectly still on your cushion. The door suddenly slides open, revealing a man in light armor. You don’t recognize his face nor the sigil he wears. “Please get dressed, My Lady. The king summons you.” He gently closes the door, giving you privacy. His calm tone almost makes you forget you were afraid. You carefully rose and got dressed. The sun gradually brightens the sky, illuminating the main courtyard of the palace. The courtyard was littered with dead royal guards, blood staining the stone ground. Horrified, you tried to scream and run but the calm man grabs your arm. “Please don’t. You have nowhere else to go, Lady y/n. everything will be alright.” His calm demeanor fails to rub into you this time as he pulls you up the stairs to the King’s throne hall. “Who are you?” you ask your captor. “I am Kim Namjoon. You have nothing to worry about, my lady.” He points you toward the throne hall. His graceful movement indicates that this man is of noble birth yet he is not familiar to you at all. There were only a few candles lit inside the throne hall. You feel yourself being watched by several pairs of eyes lurking in the dark corners. Sunlight finally enters the throne hall. The wide doors facing east accommodates the sun rising from the edge of the roofed gates of the royal palace. Warmth crawls from its doorstep toward the high platform, up to the Phoenix throne and the stranger sitting on it.
His silver hair glows under the morning light. His skin, smooth and pale like porcelain, marred by a scar down his right eye. By his feet, a pool of blood gathers. The blood of your father, the king, lying headless at the edge of the platform. Your hand flies to your mouth, failing to mask the shock and disbelief. Tears begin to gather at the edge of your eyes, spilling as you blink. Your knees threaten to give in, but you try to hold firm under the scrutinizing gaze of the usurper sitting on the throne. The silver haired stranger descends from the throne platform, walking towards you. His dark robes, moist with blood, cascades behind him almost elegantly. “Your majesty, this is lady y/n, princess of Joseon, Daughter of the deceased king Seondaewang and Concubine Cho.” Namjoon announces. “Ah, the informant!” He stands close to you. Too close. His eyes are pitch black. His pretty face almost distracts you from the bloody hand that tries to reach yours. Informant? “Who are you and what do want?” Your voice trembles with hate. “He is your king-“Namjoon tries to explain. “He is a murderer!” You lash out, pulling your arm from his grasp. The silver-haired man presses his tongue against his cheek before grabbing you by the neck, pulling your face dangerously close to his. “If it wasn’t for this pretty mouth, we’d never know your dear brother had left the capital. I owe you my gratitude." His thumb traces your lip before forcing your head to the side and releases his grip. You come face to face with Jeon Jungkook, wide-eyed, bruised and blood-stained face failing to hide the fear in his eyes. His breathing picks up. “You! How dare you!" Your anger clouds your judgement, tears continuing to spill from your eyes. “Y/n, I didn’t mean for any of this.. I told you to leave with Jin! I told you I would find you!” His pleading falls on your deaf ears, blood rushing through your veins.
“Yoongi!” Namjoon calls the murderer’s attention. A royal guard runs up the stairs, huffing and puffing upon entering the throne hall. “Jimin?!” You call out to him. He briefly glances at you before kneeling in front of the man named Yoongi. “Your majesty, the crown prince and his party has heard of your attack and are on their way here.” Yoongi humorlessly chuckles. “We must prepare to welcome your brother, Princess y/n!” “Where are they now?” Namjoon inquires. “They are in the city.” Jimin reports. Yoongi paces around the throne hall, the soles of his footwear paints bloody footprints on the floor. His fingers pinch at his lips before growling and unsheathing his sword. The ringing of his blade cuts through the silence of the room. He tosses the scabbard to the stone floors and marches toward the throne room’s doors upon hearing the rush of horses at the gates. The palace gates are thrown open, revealing your brother and his small band of troops. The crown prince was terribly outnumbered.
“Min Yoongi!”Your brother screams from across the courtyard. Yoongi stands proud at the top of the stairs, his sword glimmering under the sun. Your eyes shift upon the realization that your brother has called him with his full name. Do they know each other? Your brother continues to march toward the foot of the stone stairs. “How dare you double-cross me?!” “Looks like I double-crossed the double-crosser first…” Yoongi descends gracefully to the courtyard. His men rushes to follow him out. You slowly step out of the throne room, squinting at the morning sun.
“The deal was to assassinate the king, not attack the palace!” Your brother angrily spat. He was too late when he realized you were there, listening to his confession of treason. “y..y/n…” Yoongi laughs and looks up to you from the bottom of the stairs. “That’s right my lady! Your brother, the crown prince asked me to have your father killed! His royal ass couldn’t wait to sit on the throne!”
Oh your poor father. He raised the hand that eventually had him killed. Your father may not have been the best, but it was never right to... Your knees gave in. Your vision blurs. Your throat dries. You don't realize you were letting out a scream of agony. Jungkook tries to break your fall, grabbing your arms before your knees hit the solid ground.
Sounds of steel clashing against steel ring through the palace. Your eyes look up to the sky, bright and blue. The sunlight was obscured by Jungkook's face, eyes full of worry and regret. "Jagiya, breathe. Look at me. Look at me!" His palm lightly taps your cheek, slowly bringing you back to consciousness. Your vision begins to clear. You raise your hand to grip his shoulder. "Can you stand?" Jungkook's muffled voice inquires, as he carefully supports you up. His eyes remain on yours as you take in the battle ensuing below. The sounds feel so far away. Its like being underwater.
There was so much blood. The blue robes of your brother were darkened by blood, belonging to him and his opponent. The crown prince was pinned down by Yoongi who was holding his thin sword against the prince's neck. The royal sword has been abandoned, away from it's owner's reach. The only thing stopping Yoongi from ending the prince is his palm, pressing against the sword. The prince's other hand digs through his robes and procures a knife, which he quickly raises to stab Yoongi repeatedly on his side.
Your hand grips the material on Jungkook's shoulder. A silken twine of a bow. His half-empty quiver of arrows rest against his back. Ripping the bow from him, you do not feel yourself thinking. The next thing you know, an arrow lodges in to someone's head.
The crown prince falls backward upon impact.
You could not stop yourself from nocking another arrow, pointing it toward the silver-haired man. His onyx eyes stare into your soul as he crawls from the bottom of the stairs, clutching his bloodied torso. The string draws as far as the bow allows. You take a deep breath. A muffled voice calls your name. The bow is pulled from your grasp. But the arrow releases anyway.
Your vision blacks out.
----
You wake up with a jolt, immediately sitting upright on the cushion, bunching up the thick covers wrapped around you. The maidservant who had just entered was startled to find you awake. She hurriedly leaves and returns moments later, carrying a pitcher of water. Soon, Jungkook enters the room, a jolly smile plastered on his face upon seeing you. "Jagiya!" He takes your hand in his. "How long has it been?" Your other hand puts down the empty glass. "Two days. I was so worried about you. Do you remember what happened?" He softly asks. You were surprised to remember everything clearly. Your brother's confession, the swordfight, the arrow that killed him, and the arrow that missed because of Namjoon. You nod your head, answering Jungkook's question.
"Where is Yoongi?" You ask. "He's still weak but he's recovering. He lost a lot of blood." Silence takes over between both of you. Carefully, you slip your hand away from Jungkook's grasp. "We're done now, y/n. We can leave this place. Live in a little hut on our own, you and I, away from here. Like what you've always dreamed..." Jungkook breaks the silence, voice filled with hope. "We can leave as soon as you're well..." "I'm not abandoning my people, Jungkook." You firmly state, staring him straight in the eye. "What?" "I'm staying. I need to-" "You know what he'll do to you, right?" Jungkook's voice begins to rise, laced with anger and confusion. "He'll kill you! Or he'll marry you, and you'll end up dead all the same!" "I will not run away from my duty! I wont betray my kingdom." "What about me? don't you love me anymore?" He stands up from beside you. "We were never meant to be, Jungkook." You sit up at the edge of the bed. "Is this because i'm a peasant? Y/n i did all these for you! So you could be free from your royal duties and we could be together!"
"I cant leave now, jungkook! My father is gone and my brother had him killed. If I wont care for my kingdom, who else will?"
"Y/n you're not making any sense! Please think this through!" Jungkook kneels before you, fisting your skirt and crying into it, begging you to choose him. "Please leave, Jungkook."
A few days pass. Jungkook never came back. You guess he's left to return home to Sangju, or wherever he pleases. You spent your days recovering inside your chambers, your maidservants waiting on you. On the fourth day, you decide to summon Namjoon. "He's well, my lady. He gained consciousness this morning." He respectfully answers. "Where is he? May I see him?"
Namjoon takes you to the king's quarters, where Yoongi was staying. The blinds on the window were drawn all the way up to let the sun fill the whole room. He lay peacefully in the middle of the bed, a thick blanket bunched from his waist. His midsection is wrapped with clean gauze. His body is loitered with scars, but the rest of him is as smooth as porcelain. You took in his peaceful state, his breathing steady, and his kind features.
You stood motionless in the middle of the room, almost afraid to disturb his sleep. Namjoon whispers something to him before helping him to sit up. You were content to see his onyx eyes filled with life as they settle on yours.
"Ah there she is! My life saver!" His voice harsh from sleep. Namjoon settles himself at the corner of the room. "Didn't Namjoon tell you that you were my next target before you passed out?" You say, trying to impose yourself. "Before we passed out." He immediately corrects you. "I heard all about it. I like my women feisty. Gets me hard even when I'm losing blood!" He cackles loudly, before wincing at the pain in his midsection. He takes his time to recover. Namjoon makes no move to help him this time.
Once Yoongi recovers from his fit, Namjoon clears his throat and moves closer to the bed. "My lady, we have a proposition for you." Yoongi looks annoyed at Namjoon. "Are we doing this right now?" he asks. Namjoon gives him a look, eventually making the silver haired man sigh in exasperation.
He takes his time to gather his words as you wait patiently for him. He finally musters his words after a good while. "Princess y/n, I am asking for your hand in marriage-" "I accept." You reply, proud and plain. "Now before you protest- HUH" Namjoon's eyebrows almost reaches his hairline, unable to hide his surprise. "Great. Give us a moment, Namjoon." Yoongi huffs, both in relief and in exasperation. His loyal adviser quietly leaves the room.
"I'm not surprised, really. Its something you would do- accepting my proposal." Yoongi laughs a little to himself. "You know nothing about me." You counter his attempted familiarity towards you. "You know nothing about me as well and yet you accepted." He replies, sensing your hostility. "Because I wont let you ruin Joseon." "I have no plans of ruining Joseon. I'm here to help make it a better kingdom" "With methods of tyranny?" Your voice threatens to overpower. He takes his time to think. "Y/n, do you know why my men are from the peasant class? They are tired of being slaves of the rich yangban class. Your father had no plans for change, your brother was even worse." He calmly answers. "So you think they have you instead?" "No. The people have you. They have hope in you. There are rumors of the princess leaving the palace, bringing food for the hungry under the guise of a peasant. This gives people hope. They have placed their trust in you. I knew the moment you pointed that arrow at me that you are the hope of this kingdom."
You thought back to the days when you sneaked out to meet Jungkook. He lived with orphaned children. On your next visit, you brought food for them, and every visit since. It all felt like a lifetime ago. Those little things that didn't matter to you happened to mean so much to those who were really looking hard.
Yoongi slowly gets out of bed and kneels before you. You let him take your hand as he procures a ring made of black jade stone, putting it on your finger.
"If you ever double-cross me, Min Yoongi, I will not hesitate to kill you." "Yes, my queen." He bows before you.

Stuck in this Static void pt 5
((TW: mention of abuse, suicidal behavior, depressed behavior, and violence)) Walking into the ER’s waiting room, she sets him down in a chair. As he’d done in the car, he curls up still shaking but now his fingers are digging into his cold, clammy skin. At the front desk Fuyumi urgently asked. “Can I get some help please?!” There were a small group of nurses who looked to her, about three of them. “What can I help you with ma’am?” One of the youngest nurses at the desk asked in return. “M-My brother he tried to drown himself in the bathtub, he’s bleeding and he’s still got suicidal thoughts.” The nurse furrows her brows. “Did you pull him out?” “n-no he came out himself and told me”  Coming out from behind the large desk area, the nurse goes over to Shouto. Stethoscope around her neck which she untangles as she gets down to the boy. “Hi there, what's your name?” She spoke gently as if she were talking to a toddler, Shouto looked at her and quietly replied. “Sh-shouto….T-t-Todoroki” “Alright Shouto, well you can call me Itsuki...now can you sit up a little I need to listen to your chest okay.” Shouto hesitantly sat up which had him coughing, finally a bit more water came up but then he gagged. He’d coughed enough to make himself feel nauseous. Itsuki noticed this and quickly grabbed one of the trash bins nearby and placed it under shouto’s chin. Then she looked at the women at the front desk. “Hey can one of you get a doctor over here like now!” For being so small she could command a room even at 4’8. Her voice boomed with authority which had the other nurses up and paging a doctor.
Her attention was back on Shouto as she heard more liquid come up but it’s not just water. Vomit gushing from his shaking gaping lips, Fuyumi is right next to him rubbing his back. Itsuki couldn’t do much at this time but asked Fuyumi questions. “How old is Shouto?” “he’s gonna be 14 on the other side of the year.” “Does he have any medical conditions, or any diagnosis of anything?” “No nothing he’s physically healthy but...I don’t know about mentally any more.” The way Fuyumi’s last sentence came out made Itsuki frown with sympathy. It was when the vomiting stopped, it had only lasted a minute, but Shouto felt weak on his feet. Moving the trash can Fuyumi sat shouto back down, she could feel his entire body shaking in her hold. The doctor comes over “Alright what’s going on here?” Itsuki looked at the doctor and explained that Shouto had suicidal behavior and thoughts that he’d tried to drown himself. Looking at Fuyumi he asked “and who are you to this young man?” “I’m his older sister” “okay that’s what I thought, let's get him to bed. Jima can you grab a wheelchair?”Itsuki nods to the doctor and hustles off to grab a wheelchair to put shouto in and wheel him off to a bed and give him a proper check.
When the chair is placed beside Shouto, he’s asked if he himself can get in. He nods and stands on shaky feet just barely making it to sit down. He’s wheeled off to one of the beds where the nurse points out the coloration in Shouto’s lips. “I don’t like that blue color in his lips, doctor.” “Alright we’ll see if we can fix that, I wanna see his oxygen levels and vitals in general. He may have coughed up the water but it can still cause side effects to his lungs.” All this talk was making Fuyumi anxious, what was gonna happen to her little brother. Would they focus on the fact that this was a suicide attempt, would they put him on anti depressances? Would they question them about their home life? Is it safe enough to tell them about their father’s horrible behavior? What would they do, could they even do anything about that? All these thoughts began to have Fuyumi shaking. Fear gripping her, chilling her saliva and making her feel as if she were drowning in her own cold abyss of perturbation.
 “Ma’am...Ma’am!” She’s pulled from her spiraling thoughts and she sees that they’re in a hospital bay behind the curtain. Shouto’s been lifted onto a bed and the nurse is looking at her concernedly. “O-oh s-sorry, did you need something?”Itsuki sighed in relief before replying. “No you just looked to be spacing out, I never got your name by the way.” Fuyumi blushes at the kind woman and she says to her. “Oh sorry, my name is Fuyumi Todoroki.” Then the doctor speaks. “His breathing is better than I’d thought it’d be, which is great, though Itsuki these lacerations are a bit deep, the bleeding has stopped but these need suturing. Could you grab the suture kit please while I check to see if shouto  has any mobility?” Itsuki nods at her doctor’s request, going to fetch the suture kit leaving Fuyumi and Shouto with the doctor. “Shouto I have a question for you.” He states while he places IV lines into shouto’s other arm. Looking up at him acknowledging the man and giving him his full attention. “Shouto are you still feeling suicidal? If so can you explain why?”
Shouto frowned, he had to think before answering and he still stammered through his words. “Y-yeah I-I do. I-I um….”He then looks at Fuyumi and she recognizes this look, she knows that Shouto is scared to tell people and keeps those things a secret. She gave him a nod so he continued. “I have a-a rough h-home life. F-father b-beats and sc-screams at me….T-tonight he t-told me to d-die.” The doctor looked horrified, Fuyumi confirms this. “He’s always hurting Shouto, gas lights him into a depressive and suicidal condition. He’s hit him so hard he threw up to the point of being dehydrated. He wants Shouto to be his business successor and wants him to be perfectly like him.” The doctor couldn’t help but give a sad look to them.
“How long has this been going on?” “the feelings or what our father does?” “your father’s behavior.” Fuyumi answered this one “It started even before Shouto was born, he tried it with one of our late siblings...his name is Touya, he died sometime ago.” “Alright” The nurse returns with the suture kit, grabbing a syringe and filling it with a numbing agent. “Alright Shouto we’re gonna numb your arm up a bit okay then we’ll get started” The doctor warns before sticking the needle into Shouto’s arm, he didn’t wince as if he couldn’t feel it. Shouto felt numb physically and emotionally. Fuyumi was a little saddened by her little brother’s lack of reaction.
Shouto’s arm was bandaged up in no time and the doctor told them that he’d like for Shouto to stay here for a little while. Fuyumi was old enough to admit her sibling through the paperwork so they didn’t have to call Enji which was a big relief. Now came the part Fuyumi dreaded, the doctor came over to her quietly while Shouto was resting, they’d put him on a nebulizer to treat any potential lung infections. She’d been lulled into tired silence by the machine until she was approached by the doctor. “Hello Fuyumi, I need to talk to you about something.”  He says, alerting the girl who’s eyes darted towards him. She sits up fully from her slouched position in the guest chair. “Yes, what is it?” “I think Shouto needs to be admitted into a psychiatric unit. You’ve said he’d been gas lit several times into such thoughts and behaviors, sure medication could work but. His home is not a safe environment for him to try medications.” Fuyumi sighed “not again” she muttered as she’d remembered her mother being admitted to a psychiatric hospital due to Enji’s behavior towards her. Shuddering at the memory she’s interrupted by the curious doctor who hears her. “Again?”  He repeats making Fuyumi blush from knowing he’d heard her. She had to tell him, so she did, not in the most vivid detail but answered him with an explanation. Explaining that Rei had been admitted to a psych ward when Shouto was younger because she’d had a mental breakdown from Enji’s abuse and poured scalding water on Shouto’s eye.
The doctor seemed to understand and knew of the concerns yet he held patience and replied back. “Well he’s gonna need to take a few tests and that will decide on whether he needs to be admitted so it's not definite but. It's a better option.” “So when will the test be done?” “Well it can be as soon as tomorrow, or sometime during the week or so.” Fuyumi looks down into her lap with a small nod of acknowledgement of the reality she’d be facing. Her little brother potentially being placed in a psychiatric ward. It worried her yet, she also knew that he’d be away from their abusive father.
 This would give her time to try and figure out living situations. Shouto didn’t have any friends and lacked good social skills due to his upbringing. So he couldn’t stay with someone for the time being even if he weren’t to be admitted to a mental hospital. Still she didn’t know if she could support shouto, or if she could even get him away from Enji permanently. She’d need adult help and most likely a lawyer but. Fear came in, what if Enji had the power to bribe those deterring them from helping Fuyumi setting her back further to keep shouto under his rule. She needed to figure out something. It didn't matter if Shouto would be admitted or not, she had to do something for her little brother. “I’ll leave you to rest, miss, you seem to be tired and it's almost 3 am and you’ve had a long night.” The doctor says politely bowing and giving Fuyumi the time to thank him before he leaves.
The next day, Shouto didn’t wake up till sometime in the afternoon and boy did he hurt. His body was aching, and he still had a slight cough yet he couldn’t care any less. He just curled up wanting to go back to sleep but right as he was about to shut his eyes to block the bright light of the hospital and the sunshine. The doctor knocks on the door, not only startling shouto and making him grumble but. Waking up Fuyumi who had fallen asleep in the small chair. Letting himself in the doctor smiles seeing his patient and sibling are awake. “Hello there Shouto, nice to see you’re awake. I’m gonna check your vitals, then we’ll talk about the important stuff.” Shouto just sighed with a dull tired look on his face. His breathing and oxygen are checked, his heart was great, everything was great except for the fatigue and emotional numbness.
Putting his stethoscope back around his neck, the doctor took a seat in the spare seat opposite Fuyumi. “Alright Shouto, lets talk.” Nodding the doctor started his talk. “You’re going to be psychologically tested to see how we can treat this. Whether you just need medication or you need to be admitted to a psych ward, you need to be honest while answering okay.” Shouto nods remaining silent, “You’ll be taking a test or two soon, a nurse will come in and will help you if need be but all answers will be on you.” When the doctor had finished, Shouto then asked. “Can I go back to sleep now?” Huffing the doctor shakes his head. “Sorry kiddo, you have to eat something. Can’t let you starve yourself.” Shouto frowns as the doctor gets up but he knows that it's for his own good.
Eating was a challenge, he didn’t have the motivation or strength, or even the appetite, but. He tried and got some of it down by the time the nurse came in the tests and a pencil. The test wasn’t long and took no time yet it was still a draining process, then adding them having to take blood from him afterwards he really wanted to sleep now. Some of the questions  stayed on his mind and whether he answered correctly or not. ‘Are you still considering suicide?’ Well Shouto hated living, sure he wanted to be happy for once in his lap but, he felt that he could only be happy if he were dead. ‘Do you starve yourself?’ Well he didn’t starve himself more like the rigorous beatings made him sick enough to not want to eat. Or he didn’t have the motivation to feed himself. ‘Do you cut?’ Yes he does, he had for a while now and it was his only way of feeling something, it let him cry which meant expressing emotions that felt forbidden when he wasn’t cutting. Then one last question rang through his head ‘Would you like to get help?’ Well that would depend, would his father have to consent to this? Could he willingly get help himself? Would he get away from Enji? He didn’t like feeling suicidal, or feeling empty inside, he wanted to feel normal but he never got to feel that so. How could he tell what normal was? Maybe they’d help him figure that out? Would they shove pills down his throat? Would the strap him down to a bed or put him in a straight jacket or even a padded room? Were those types of places real or were those just movie’s over dramatic depictions of a psych ward?
These thoughts surprisingly put Shouto to sleep, or those were the drugs.
Meanwhile Fuyumi was with Natsuo, she’d stopped by to tell him what happened and maybe get some advice? “So let me get this straight, father gaslights Shouto to the point of him trying to commit suicide, he stopped himself and asked for you to take him to the hospital. They’re saying that his best option would be to be admitted to a psychiatric facility so we can figure out how to get him away from father?” Natsuo reiterated taking in the information. Fuyumi nods “I-I just I don’t know if it really is a good idea, and I don’t know if either of us could financially support shouto on our own. We’re adults but we’re not as stable as our father is and most adults but. I think him going to the ward will give us some time to figure something out.”
 Natsuo rubs his temples, “I couldn’t agree more, I mean we’re both in school and so is shouto, not that it would be the worst thing to try and take him but. It's sudden and we need time.” he hated to hear about what happened to Shouto, it reminded him of their mother but this time he didn’t want things to get any worse with Shouto and. From how much better their mother has been doing, they both knew the doctor’s suggestion would be the best option for their little brother. “I’ll come with you next time to see shouto, when are you going back?” Fuyumi thought for a moment before answering. “Most likely tonight” “Okay then call me and I’ll meet you there.” With that promise Fuyumi grabbed her bag and slipped on her shoes but right before she left Natsuo called out. “Hey, I love you and...good luck with him okay” Fuyumi gave a small smile to her brother “I love you too” She waved him goodbye and left the dorm complex.
Time went by and Fuyumi found herself calling Natsuo to tell him it was time to meet up at the hospital. She soon stood in the parking lot, the street lights were turning on as the sun was setting. She smiles a little as she sees Natsuo walking towards her after hopping off of the bus. “Hey there, you ready?” He asked, Fuyumi nods “yeah, let's go in.” she says and leads him inside, she strolls towards the elevator till they’ve reached the ICU. She follows the placards till she reaches Shouto’s room. Knocking softly there isn’t an answer but she opens the door anyway.
Opening the door, Shouto is laying in bed, he’d seemed to have eaten a small dinner not long before the siblings had arrived. “Shouto?” Fuyumi’s voice calls out softly, heterochromic eyes flutter open with slight bags underneath them. Despite him resting most of the time, his eyes still held a tired look to them. “Hm?” He hummed quietly, walking further into the room Natsuo announced his presence. “Hello Shouto” Recognizing his voice, Shouto looked at them both seeing Natsuo he frowned. “Y-you dragged Nats into this Fuyumi?” Fuyumi knew what he meant but shook her head. “No Shouto, I didn’t drag him. I needed him to know so he could help us, help me, and help you.” Natsuo came over to his youngest sibling’s bedside, then brought him into a hug. Shouto tensed and flinched in Natsuo’s hold until he spoke. “Shh, I’m sorry about him and what he’d made you do and how you’ve been feeling...I’m here because I want to be able to help you get better. I know you may not want to go to the psych ward but. We’ve talked it over and it's the best option for you.” Shouto nods his head “I-I know it is….I thought about it actually”  Natsuo stands up letting him go so as to not squeeze the life out of him. Both the older ones seemed curious and asked for Shouto to elaborate. So he shared his thoughts, he knew he’d be better off in a hospital, he’d get away from his father and he hated these feelings even when he indulged himself in them.
Shouto’s explanation pleased them, it made them happy that Shouto wanted to get better and was willing to do it. During this conversation the doctor came in as did another person. A woman who was sharply dressed like the man next to her. “Hello guys ah, another family member. Are you his brother?” Natsuo faces the man and shakes hands with him as he introduces himself. “Yes I’m Todoroki Natsuo” “nice to meet you, I have another person for you all to meet.” He gestures to the woman who’s holding a clipboard of paper and a pen in her chest pocket. She smiles sweetly to them all “hello I’m doctor Fumiya, I’m a pediatric psychologist.” She looked down to her patient in the hospital bed and approached him. “You must be Todoroki Shouto, yes?” The half and half colored male nods “Well I’m here to go over your test results with you and your siblings.” With a nod of approval the woman starts.
“You seem to obviously have depression but this seems to be chronic, seeing as you’ve stated that you’ve been having these feelings for so long. You do have anxiety which is traumatic induced. You don’t exactly have an eating disorder, it's more of the depression and anxiety making it hard and I’m going to guess that you’ve been beaten to the point of vomiting?” Hearing Dr Fumiya’s prediction, Shouto had to sadly confirm it. “Okay and with all of those things in consideration you’ve also stated that you’ve still considered suicide…. But you said you’re willing to get help. Is that still true?” “Still having thoughts of suicide or willing to get help?” “both.” “Yes to both of them” "Now how willing would you be to be admitted to a psych ward?"
 Shouto shrugged, his tone held exhaustion but also a small hint of desperation which could faintly be detected when he said "I'm just so tired of this life, and if I could be helped then I'll try it I guess." With that Dr Fumiya wrote down some things before replying. “That’s good, first we’re going to admit you to a ward where you will be given medications and such to try to see what will work for you. You will have a doctor who you will talk to as well as a therapist but it won't be everyday seeing as they obviously have other patients. You will also have group therapy and other types of ways to develop better coping mechanisms and life skills.”
 With this information Natsuo asked “Now from what I’ve heard about psych wards, there are certain things Shouto can’t take with him right?” “yes most of the rules apply to just about all psychwards. Though certain things can be gained or permitted if he’s under super vision. Like. He can’t have drawn strings in his clothes or have shoe laces. No razor shavers, no staples, anything that he could hurt himself with. He also can’t take his phone in with him and he may have 1-1 supervision, so someone may come in and check on him or be with him outside the door while he’s showering or in the bathroom. His door will never be locked and will most likely be open through the day time and unlocked during the night time.” She continued to explain more things and general rules most psychwards have.
It was a little overwhelming but what did they expect? They were young adults who were admitting their abused, depressed and suicidal little brother to a mental health hospital. “So when will he be going and where?” “Well there’s one not too far from here and he can go as soon as tomorrow afternoon actually or as soon as the doctor is willing to release you here. Though his release date from the psych ward will be unknown for a while it depends on how cooperative you are, how well you’re handling things and as well as if it's safe for you to go back considering your living situations.” “O-oh so it all has its determining factors? How much should I pack for him?” Questioned Fuyumi “I’d say pack two weeks worth of clothes, they all have laundry days and schedules so he’ll be able to wash his clothes.” “Oh that's great” Natsuo joined, then Fuyumi’s phone rang, she looked to see who it was before frowning. It was Enji.
“What is it sis?” Asked Natsuo, he leaned over and saw who was calling and paled. “Shit, I take it you didn’t tell him?” “Right, and I don’t know what to tell him.” Then Dr Fumiya suggested, “let me talk to him, I’ll see what I can do.” hesitantly Fuyumi hands the woman her phone, she soon leaves the room. Sitting anxiously, Shouto's room is silently waiting for the psychologist to come back. They’re watching the door which soon opens after a minute and she hands the phone back to the eldest todoroki in the room. “He will be here soon, so doctor I suggest you alert security right away to keep an eye out for him.” The doctor nods and leaves the room after confirming Enji’s name, Fuyumi twiddled his thumbs a little thinking about what she was gonna do. She still lived with her father but that was to keep shouto as safe as she could. “Hey, you can probably live in one of the safety lots for people who escape abusive partners or family.” Suggested the psychologist, fuyumi listened with a quizzical look on her face. “You just explain your situation to them and they’ll let you stay. Though if you feel scared going to pack you and your brother’s bags you could always ask them to have an officer or two escort you to protect you.” With this option displayed to her, Fuyumi knew it would be safer for her to live in a safe home and be escorted by officers than try and go alone. “Alright thank you Dr Fumiya” Shouto then spoke up “Fuyumi….I-I don’t want him to c-come here” everyone could hear the anxiety in his voice and then they saw him. Shouto was shaking like the previous night he’d come into Fuyumi’s room.
Eyes melting with sympathy and warmth for the teen who’s eyes welled with tears and fear. “Oh shouto sweetie” She cooed gently standing up, she goes over to him and pulls him so he’s facing into her midsection, Fuyumi is gently rubbing his back as he cries. “Shhh we’re not gonna let him near you, I promise.” Shouto’s still trembling body relaxes a little, still his hands lightly grip her sweatshirt he sobs. Natsuo added himself to the group and came to comfort his little brother, gently running his fingers through his hair. “We promise you shouto, you’re gonna be safe.”
 It took a minute for the teen to calm down enough to let go of his older siblings just in time the doctor came back. “Alright I’d told them about your father, and if he somehow gets in, don't hesitate to hit the emergency call button that’s on the side of shouto’s bed and on the wall next to the door” Advised the doctor who smiles at the sigh of relief of the small family. “See shouto we’re safe, the doctor has taken precaution and knows not to let him in.” Shouto just started to play with his fingers as a way to distract himself. “Well guys if you’ll excuse me I will be taking my leave to check on other patients, have a nice night.” “Thank you so much Dr Fumiya”  Just as she leaves the nurse comes in to take Shouto’s blood, which Shouto willingly gives. Not like he has much of a choice though.
Fuyumi had been there for a while and hadn’t eaten much so she’d gotten out of her chair to get something to eat. “Hey boys I’m gonna get something from the vending machine, you guys want anything?” “hm could you see if they have any instant ramen?” Fuyumi giggles at Natsuo’s request but she nods “Will do lil bro, you want anything Shou?” “u-um c-can I have milk please...strawberry?” “sure thing, I’ll be back.” She leaves the room and searches for the vending machines around the hall.
It wasn’t a long walk to find some vending machines in a small room, she found the instant ramen one and got Natsuo the spicy ramen he liked, she got herself the shrimp ramen. Next, getting a carton of milk, it took some figuring out since it ate her dollar but as she waited for her milk to be dispensed she heard a loud scream from down the hall. It made her jump but she still kept a hold on her food.
Then a crash came and she had a horrible feeling that made her run to see what was going on. ‘What’s going on, where is it coming from’ the white haired woman thought then she saw it. The door to Shouto’s room was open and one nurse was shaking on the floor while the other was protecting shouto. And right in the center of it all was him, Todoroki Enji. The red head was yelling and trying to get to shouto with force but the small woman who Fuyumi could tell was Itsuki from the night before. She wasn’t backing down, her stance was defensive but ready to throw a punch at any moment. Eyes widened as she watched Itsuki, she then noticed why her stance was defensive, she was holding a needle full of something in her back hand as she warned Enji. “Look Mr Todoroki either calm down or I won't hesitate to inject you with this!” She says in a serious but calm manor, Enji on the other hand growled at her with a sneer on his face, “Oh and was it, probably just saline, not enough to put me out even if it was a sedative.” He shoved her but, her stance allowed for her to easily maintain her balance, “Leave now sir.” Her voice is low “Why the hell should I, you’ve got my stupid son here? I want him back!” “you’re a threat to his safety and you’re abusive to those around you. I won't let you take him” Itsuki doesn’t notice Fuyumi but seeing the other nurse who had some sort of head injury Fuyumi quickly dropped her food and ran with adrenaline down to get more staff members and hopeful security.
She didn’t want to leave Itsuki to be the only barrier between Enji and Shouto but. What else could Fuyumi do! She can hear more of Enji’s yelling, more things crashing and clattering to the cold chemical tile floor. She flinches even as she’s doors and doors down. Getting to the front desk she frantically yells “please help! One of your nurses is injured and my father somehow got up here and he shouldn’t be. Please the only one protecting my brother is a nurse!” Crash! Then another scream but this sounded lower in pitch. “Shouto!” Fuyumi cried and almost ran back but grabbed someone who held her as staff members arose and went to help. It is the doctor looking after Shouto. “Hey hey he’s gonna be okay, Itsuki can take care of this I promise.” Fear paralyzed her into remaining still the doctor lets her go and it isn’t long before security shows up rushing past them to deal with the situation.
Natsuo came down the hall and security came down not long after them. He sees Fuyumi’s worried look, and becomes concerned. “Hey Fuyumi what’s going on? You okay, why aren’t you with shouto?” Fuyumi explained what had happened and as she spoke she began to shake a little. Tears raining down as she’d remembered her promise to shouto. “W-we broke our pro-promise Nats.” At first Natsuo couldn’t remember but one look of seeing Enji being dragged away in restraints by security frowned and hugged her. “I know Fuyu, I’m sorry, he won't be mad at us though. Knowing Shouto he’ll be scared but not mad, if we can get to him now he should be okay.” “o-okay, let's see if we can go th-then.” She says as Natsuo holds onto her hand protectively after letting her out of his loving hold.
Hurrying down the hall they get to shouto’s room which is a mess with shattered medical supplies and Itsuki is right there calming a disquieted Shouto who was pale, otherwise unharmed thankfully. Sighing in relief Fuyumi came over and bowed to the nurse with lots of admiration and vederanation. “Thank you so much Ms Itsuki, I’m sorry you had to deal with our father though.” Huffing a little, the small nurse shrugged her shoulders. “I did what I had to do, but it's okay, it's not your fault that man is so horrible he doesn’t deserve to be called a father.” Fuyumi then looked at Shouto “I’m sorry he tried to get to you Shouto, are you okay?” Talking through shaking lips Shouto replies “H-he didn’t hurt me...ju-just sc-scared.” Fuyumi smiles a little, kissing his forehead gently. “I’m also S=sorry I dropped your food running to get help.” Shouto and Natsuo rolled their eyes “hey don’t apologize, it was the sleeze bag’s fault. I’ll go get it this time, you stay with Shou okay.” Natsuo offered with a small chuckle before looking at Itsuki who went back to checking Shouto over. “Ms Itsuki, would you like me to get you anything...kinda a way of thanking you for protecting our little brother.” Itsuki peers over at the tall white haired teen who’s giving her a genuine smile. “Dear I’m just glad you all are safe, that is enough thanks for me..” Her voice trails a little as she focuses her mind once more. Natsuo just nods, he heads to the vending machine area and gets the milk, ramen, and a bottle of water for Itsuki. Even if she hadn’t asked for anything, he couldn’t not repay her back.
When everyone was given their respective things. Sitting down they had time to each other again in silence. At this point silence meant peace no heart ache but silence also meant suffering and they knew that Shouto would be going to the psych ward soon. Hoping to rid of his suffering whether for good or temporarily enough to find time to find even better help in a healthier. All they could do was try.

I Love Him Like That
Hello! So i finished reading the movie script, and I feel like this crowley is also cool, and that he needs a nice boyfriend who would love him just for who he is. Oh wait...Aziraphale already does that! So I made a story about it!  Enjoy ~
______________________________________________
F*CK
It was a dead end. It was impossible for Movie crowley to escape now. He turned around and backed himself against the wall. He looked at everyone who had chased him down to this alley. He gulped and frowned. They were his others versions with accompanied by the angels. They didn’t look pleased with movie crowley, and he assumed that it had to do with how he expressed himself about...certain things.
Out of nowhere, there was an explosion of light between him and the crowd. Movie crowley flinched and covered his eyes. He opened them and started to blink only to see that movie Aziraphale was now infront of him. One hand extended protecting movie crowley.
“Thats enough” Movie aziraphale said to the crowd. He was in his angelic form dressed in a white robe and resplendent as always. Everyone stared at the angel...and seeing that nobody was going to say something anytime soon, movie Aziraphale looked over his shoulder and asked “Are you alright, dear boy? Movie Crowley nodded, and then focused on the angels that started to do the same with their demons.
“please dear, there is no need for that”
“we just want to talk”
“about what exactly?” Aziraphale turned to gaze at the three angels who were now in front of him.
“well..”
“he treats you like sh*t”
“CROWLEY”
“Its clear as day that he has no interest in being here. He sees no value in being on earth-”
“and he has no respect for you”
Movie aziraphale stared at the versions of his demon. He immediately sensed their love for the versions of himself that it was almost palpable. The sight infront of him was heart warming.
He sigh and snapped his fingers, his white robe being replaced by his white suit. “Very well. Lets take this conversation somewhere else shall we?”
“I think thats a-
“TERRIBLE IDEA” Movie crowley intervened. “Besides, I have work to do at the nightclub and-”
“WOT”
“a nightclub!?” why the f*ck do you have a night club?”
“hmm, interesting...”
Movie crowley made a face and then looked at his aziraphale who had placed a hand on his shoulder. “My dear, lets hear what they have to say. Besides, this is a rare opportunity! Oh! it never occured to me that there were more of us! just look at them! You are ever so handsome in any version! and- *GASP* they look so good in a bow tie!” Movie aziraphale was now gushing over their other versions without realizing that his optimistic attitude made them blush in delight.
Movie Crowley grumbled “nugh...FINE” and Movie Aziraphale beamed at him “excellent!” He snapped his fingers and soon appeared in his museum.
“Um, hello. Uh, its not that I dont like this place, but wouldn’t it have been better to miracle us to the bookshop?” Tv azi asked.
“hm? what bookshop, dear?” There were many gasps made and movie aziraphale looked at everyone whose expression where that of shock.
“Your bookshop! you...you don’t...?”
“You don’t own one?”
“Oh! sorry no. I don’t own one, never could have run one anyway. I wouldn’t know how”
“And who said that!?”
All the aziraphales looked horrified, even the crowleys looked slightly concerned before staring at crowley with a scowl. Movie crowley flinched and looked away.
“Listen” Movie Aziraphale started “I know that you all have something to share about crowley, but if you would let me” he looked at every single one in the room “I would like to speak first about the matter. Please?” He asked gently.
Everyone looked at each other, some shrugged and others just looked concerned, but at the end they all nodded.
“Thank you” Aziraphale said with a smile. He took a deep breath, and started with “I love crowley”
The sight before him made him smile and giggle. The crowleys had their jaws drop to the floor blsuhing at how easy this angel had said such a phrase, and the aziraphale’s were wide eyes and blushing to. Some had their hands on their cheeks steaming.
“I love crowley” he repeated “I love everything he does. He is so wicked, cool, handosme, aaaaand....” at that he turned to look at movie crowley who looked away from him for he knew what was coming “deep down a little bit good”
“He stood up to the devil himself! even after being offered to be the boss in alpha centauri, he stayed”
“cause you cheated...” movie crowley mumbled
“Yes, but you could have ignored it and left, but you didn’t”
Movie crowley shrunk more into his shoulders and hissed.
“Sure, he doesn’t like earth, he cheats at checkers, he runs a nightclub, and does many other (bad) things on earth, but thats how he is. He acts like a demon should, and I do not expect him to behave in another way. Of course he says things that...well...hurt...but don’t we all?”
Movie aziraphale saw something happen to his other versions.
“Crowley here is not meant to love, but I am, and I have...so much love to give, that no matter how many times he cheats, says mean things to me, or tried to leave without me....I will always forgive him, and my love for him will not change because I love him like that, and he likes me too...in his own way”
“He is my best friend, I’d help him anytime, follow him if he were to ask me-”
“really?” Red head crowley asked
“of course” Movie aziraphale answered.
“I do not wish him any harm...in fact it makes me happy that he stayed. I’d be so lonely without him” Aziraphale put his hands together “so please, do not hate on him. He did something good for the world despite his dislike of it...”
“But...he is so mean to you...” one of the aziraphale’s said. His hands were then taken by Movie Aziraphale’s own who hold them affectionately.
“thank you...for your concern my dear, but I’m alright with it, he won’t scare me off with those manners of his anytime soon”
“Besides” Movie aziraphale movied to the other crowleys “look at these demons! aren’t they cool!? So handsome and wicked!” The crowleys were now blushing at this version of their angel gushing over them.
“Tell me, don’t you all love them for who they are?” Movie aziraphale looked at all the Aziraphales who looked at each other and sigh “We do”
“I know” movie aziraphale smiled “I can feel it”
________________________________________________
After everyone left, Movie Aziraphale walked towards his Crowley and placed his arms around his shoulders. His chin now layed on crowley’s hair.
“I meant every single word I said to them”
“nugh....i know...you always did”
“hmm”
“......I love you too” crowley mumbled.
“what was that?”
“I’m not saying it again angel” crowley said through clenched teeth
“Oh Crowley please! say it one more time I didn’t hear it!”
“Tough luck then, cause ya ain’t hearing it again anytime soon”
Aziraphale saw how crowley’s ears turned slightly red and he hugged him tighter to himself with a big smile.

The Bodyguard’s Tale -Chapter 5
The sh*t hath hit-ith the fan... ith.

Chapter 5
It took two more days for the accursed heat—or rut or whatever, Keith had already decided he hated it—to run its course. That was two days of pain and longing and loneliness—Lance didn’t make another appearance, and when Shiro was able to come see him, he kept his visits short because Keith got more and more snappy as the days went by.
Finally, he was able to resume his duties, with no small amount of relief. (And maybe it was just his imagination, but Hunk looked relieved too. Apparently, Lance had been extra snippy as well.) To his surprise, Lance actually gave him the silent treatment for a whole day, even after Keith tried to apologize for what had happened.
The day after that, he went to the prince’s chambers, fully intending to clear the air. Nothing major, he could do this. He just had to explain that he hadn’t been in his right mind, and nothing they’d said or done should be—Wait, where was Lance?
He wasn’t in his room.
He wasn’t in any of his usual haunts in the castle.
“Lance?”
Keith was starting to get nervous. Had Lance actually been kidnapped? During his time here, he’d been led to believe that nobody hated the royal family and his job was purely for ceremony! Surely—
“Hey, Keith,” Shiro called cheerfully, strolling down the halls with another ambassador. Keith wasn’t sure if their name was really Pidge or something else, he couldn’t figure this person out. (But they were from Olkarion, so maybe that was the point? The Olkari did love their puzzles….) “I thought you were with Lance.”
“I’m looking for Lance,” Keith corrected. “Have you seen him?”
The two ambassadors shared an ‘eek’ look.
“He was heading for the space port,” Pidge said. “Said he was meeting you there.”
“Oh, quiznak.” Keith took off running. Once he got to the space port, he searched every passenger vehicle he could find, praying that Lance hadn’t gotten a note from somebody claiming to be Keith so they could kidnap him and—wait, weren’t those the new prototypes King Alfor was designing?
Keith paused in his search to look more carefully. Why was the blue one activated?
Blue just happened to be Lance’s favorite color….
He raced over and entered the giant blue lion (Alfor had said they were a tribute to some kind of ancient Altean lion god or something) just before the jaw snapped shut. Even though Keith had never been in a ship like this before, he somehow knew exactly where to go.
Sure enough, there was Lance, sitting in the pilot’s seat.
“WHAT do you think you are doing?!” Keith snapped, storming up behind him.
Lance looked surprised to see him. “Aww, Blue, why’d you let him in?”
“Are you talking to the ship?!”
“Of course,” Lance said, stroking the side of the chair lovingly. “My pretty girl is very sensitive, you know. Not everybody sees me as ‘just their job.’”
Keith facepalmed. “We’re not even going to delve into everything that’s wrong with that statement—just, get up, we’re leaving.”
“No way!” Lance said, settling himself deeper into the seat. “I was just getting a feel for her!” He grabbed the controls.
“Lance, this is a prototype that your father has been working on for decaphoebs!” Keith pointed out. “Even if he gave you permission to fly it, which he won’t, it’s not equipped for—”
The rest of his statement was cut off by a loud roar, and then Keith was forced to grab onto the back of Lance’s chair as the lion blasted off. Lance whooped with excitement as the space port dwindled away behind them. With so many loops and swoops, even without gravity, Keith was starting to get a little dizzy.
“You are the worst pilot ever!!” he yelled, his teeth jarring together as Lance grazed yet another asteroid. “Did you even take a class on how to fly one of these things?!”
“Of course not!” Lance shouted back, not an inch of remorse in his tone. “As you said, they’re prototypes! And it’s almost like it’s on autopilot—”
“AUTOPILOT AROUND THAT MOON, THEN!!”
“WHOOPS!” The Blue Lion lurched out of the way at the very last second. “Oof, that could’ve been bad.”
“BAD?! YOU ALMOST FLATTENED US!”
“Relax, Keithy! Has anyone ever told you you’re a very uptight kinda guy?” Lance teased, glancing up at Keith from where he still had a firm grip on the controls. “Hey, I know! Let’s take this baby to the Space Mall!”
“La-ance,” Keith groaned, but there was nothing he could do. Blue didn’t respond when he tried to wrench the controls away from Lance. And that was when he remembered King Alfor’s speech about how these ships would choose their own pilots:  if you could get it to start, you could have it. But he didn’t think the king meant for his son to take the thing joyriding! Ugh, maybe he could spin this as some sort of training exercise?!
And secondly, he was kind of offended that Lance still considered him uptight. He’d loosened up a lot since he’d come to live on Altea! Didn’t Lance remember the Klanmüirls? Or the narwhals? None of the other Galra Commanders he knew would ever stand for that sort of thing!
The next thing he knew, they were actually at the Space Mall and Lance was getting out. Great. How was this his life? The good part was, they didn’t need to lock anything, because the Blue Lion put up a particle barrier as soon as they were clear, the bad part was… well, Lance in a space mall was like a kid in a candy store.
He wanted to go everywhere. At light speed.
After the fifth time Lance ran away from him, though, Keith was starting to sense a pattern: light speed was only being used to get away from his bodyguard. He quickly grabbed the prince in the hallway before he could dart off again.
“Look, I get that you’re mad at me—” he started.
“What?! Mad at you? Why, in all the cosmos, would I be mad at you, Keithy?!” Lance said, loudly and sarcastically.
Keith felt his eye twitch. “Can we not do this in public, please?” he asked quietly.
“Why not? Am I making you uncomfortable? Am I—” To Keith’s surprise, Lance cut himself off with a deep breath and a sigh. “Look, I’m sorry. I just thought….” He trailed off with another sigh.
“You just thought what?” Keith asked, curious at the way Lance was blushing. No, surely not….
“Nevermind,” Lance said. He spotted something over Keith’s shoulder. “WHAT is THAT??” he exclaimed, pointing. Keith turned to look, only to find himself being pulled into a shop that sold all kinds of things. Knick-knacks, appliances, you name it. And it all came from—
“Earth?!” he exclaimed, as the salesman tried to get them interested in a strange-looking water fountain that doubled as a chair. “All of this comes from Earth??” He was suddenly much more interested in the merchandise. And, oh man, they HAD to get Shiro something!
Lance, meanwhile, was enamored with a large, benign-looking animal that stared out at them peacefully and occasionally said, “Moo.”
“I love her!” he squealed, hugging the animal. “I’m going to take her, and keep her, and hug her, and—”
“That there is a Kaltenecker,” the salesman said proudly. “One free with every purchase!”
Lance’s eyes gleamed.
“You can get ONE!” Keith said quickly, before Lance could buy out the whole store. Lance pouted, but Keith stood firm. “One for now,” he negotiated. “Just to make sure you can take care of her and she doesn’t come with any weird… surprises.”
After a bit more whining, Lance agreed, and for their purchase, they bought Shiro a rectangle with some weird drawings on it that the salesman insisted was an entertainment box. (Keith didn’t see how such a thing would be entertaining, but maybe Shiro would know how to work it.)
Then, Lance was starving, and they had to get some food. Keith agreed, but he didn’t think Kaltenecker enjoyed Lance’s attempts to serve her whatever Vrepit Sal’s had given them. He also had no idea what she was chewing on….
“Is that a cow?” they heard a familiar voice exclaim. Keith and Lance looked over, and sure enough, there was Shiro, heading straight for them. Followed closely by Pidge and an irate-looking Hunk.
“She’s my new Kaltenecker!” Lance said proudly.
“Kaltenecker?” Shiro repeated, looking at Keith.
“I don’t know,” he said, throwing his hands up helplessly. “It doesn’t seem like it’s gonna eat him, so I figured it’d be okay.”
Shiro at least had the decency to laugh into his hand.
“Oh man,” Hunk said, also examining the creature, “I dunno how this is gonna do in the Klanmüirl enclosure, but hey, I’m sure we’ll work something out.” He turned to Lance. “So, bad news, your dad says you’re grounded.”
“Awww,” Lance groaned.
“And good news, he’s so stoked you got a Lion running, it’s probably not gonna be for long,” Hunk continued.
“Yes!” Lance fist-pumped.
“More good news, you activating a Lion seems to have kicked them all into gear, because the Yellow one chose me, and Green chose Pidge here.”
Beside him, Pidge waved absently, looking more interested in the little box they’d gotten for Shiro.
“REALLY?” Lance looked delighted.
“Yeah, so as soon as you get home, we’re gonna have to do a bunch of tests and stuff, but until then, more bad news…,” Hunk bit his lip and looked uncertain. “You guys didn’t just happen to bring Allura with you, did you? ‘Cause nobody can find her or Lotor anywhere.”
Lance sat straight up. “Allura’s missing?!”
“I’m sure it’s nothing,” Hunk said, waving his hand dismissively. “More importantly, what the heck are you guys eating? Is that even food?!” He examined their lunch with expressions that ranged from “interested” to “horrified.”
Lance and Keith exchange a glance that needed no words. Their siblings weren’t the type to just go off without any warnings to anybody, that was their MO. Allura and Lotor were too… responsible. Whatever had happened….
“You’re right, Hunk,” Lance said, quickly. “Let’s get some real food back at the castle! I wanna see who else gets a Lion. You want one, Keithy? You know you do!” he teased.
“No, I’ve got my hands full with you,” Keith grumbled. (Yes, he did. He really did. He’d seen how quickly and effortlessly Blue had responded to Lance’s handling and he was certain he could do better…. Oh, how he wanted a chance!)
“How about you, Shiro?” Lance was asking, talking fast to cover up his nervousness about his sister’s disappearance.
“I thought I felt something from the Black one,” Shiro admitted, still absently petting Kaltenecker. “But King Alfor assured me it wouldn’t move until the others were paired off. Something about it being the leader.”
“Cool! Well, lead on, Captain, Sir!”
“Ha ha, Lance,” Shiro said dryly, as they all headed back towards the entrance. “Tell me, what are you going to do with a cow, anyway?”
“I dunno,” Lance said, giving it another hug. “What do you usually do with cows?”
“I could teach you how to milk it.”
“Really?! What’s that?”
Shiro’s explanation left Keith a little weirded out, but Lance seemed eager enough to try. Not that he got much of a chance. After flying the three Lions back to Altea, they were greeted by an excited crowd in the Lions’ hangar at the space port, all of them eager to try for the remaining two. Black and Red’s shields remained up, however, even when Lance tried to push his way to the front of the crowd.
Keith, already nervous about potential assassins in this crowd, got the signal from Alfor to get his son out of there, and quickly pulled Lance away. It didn’t matter if the prince was complaining that he could hold his own. Nor did it matter that Hunk and Pidge had carefully separated themselves already to try to take control of this mess. Even the fact that Keith could hear a low rumbling in the back of his brain that sounded like purring when he looked at the Red Lion… his first and only priority was Lance’s safety. Altea had already lost its heir today, they didn’t need to lose the spare too.
Fortunately, the king and queen joined them in Lance’s room soon after, before Keith and Shiro ran out of ways to keep him distracted. Queen Melenor ran straight to Lance and threw her arms around him, sobbing. That was the first indication they’d gotten that something was truly wrong.
“We thought maybe Lance had convinced Allura to take him with her,” Alfor said, looking pale and shaken. He laid a heavy hand on Keith’s shoulder. “Thank you for always taking such good care of my son.”
“Sir?” he said, unable to keep his questioning tone to himself.
“What’s going on?” Lance asked, his voice wavering as he started to panic. “Where’s Allura? Mom?! Dad?!”
“All we found was a note!” Queen Melenor burst into tears again and hugged Lance even tighter.
“It seems she and Prince Lotor have spent their time together—when they were supposed to be courting—researching how to get to Oriande,” Alfor said, regretfully shaking his head.
“Oriande?” Lance yelped. “But that’s—that’s a myth!” Keith could tell: now Lance was truly panicking. “And, even if it wasn’t, all the stories say it’s a… a….”
“A one-way journey,” Alfor finished for him. “Which is why, if we don’t find them soon, we may have to declare your sister missing… indefinitely.”
“NO!” Lance cried, wrenching himself away from his mother. Keith quickly caught him in his arms—not tight enough to cage, just enough to ground him—and led him over to a small padded bench nearby. Lance sat, still shaking his head in denial but not trying to get away from Keith. “No, no, no… there’s has to be way—the Lions! Dad, could we use the Lions to get to her?!”
“We don’t even know which way they’ve gone,” Alfor reminded him sadly. “I, too, looked for Oriande in my youth, but I never even came close. I finally forced myself to abandon the hunt when your mother became pregnant. And now, I—” the poor king swallowed and looked away, “I regret every bedtime story I ever told you two about that place.”
Both Lance and Queen Melenor hurried to reassure their king that, no, none of this was his fault. They loved him and they’d get through this as a family. Meanwhile, Keith stood off to the side, watching silently.
Lotor. Lotor was missing too, but instead of being anxious or worried about him, all Keith could think was, ‘Dammit, brother! You’re going to cost us the alliance! What were you thinking?!’
Was that normal? Surely, he should be upset, right? Crying and worried about his family like Lance? Why—why wasn’t he?
He heard Shiro come up behind him and looked over when he felt a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
“You okay?” Shiro asked.
Keith thought about it for a moment. “I’m worried about Allura,” he finally confessed. “And I’m a little annoyed at Lotor. I’m sure he talked her into it, after all. He’s been obsessed with Altean lore ever since we were kids.” He looked at his friend. “Is that…? Shouldn’t I be worried, or panicking, or something? I mean—” Keith faltered. “He’s my brother! I’ve always been loyal, to him and the Empire, but…. Is there something wrong with me?”
“I doubt it,” Shiro said, the knowing smile back on his face. “Think about it. If it was Lance who was missing, what would you do?”
“I’d pull out all the stops to find him immediately,” Keith said, not even having to think about it. “I’d use every resource I had until I found him. No matter how long it took.” His chest constricted painfully just thinking about a scenario like that.
Shiro was giving him that look that said he was almost there in getting the correct answer; he just needed to dig a little deeper. Keith thought about it.
“But… that’s just because he’s my responsibility, isn’t it?” he asked, almost desperately. “It doesn’t mean anything….”
Shiro gave him a much softer smile, his eyes twinkling with laughter. “I didn’t say anything about that,” he pointed out. “But fine, if you want to play that game, imagine if Lance wasn’t your responsibility. Would you still feel the same?”
“I—I don’t know!” Keith exclaimed, much too loudly. It caught the attention of the royal family, who realized the two were still in the room with them.
“Think about it,” Shiro whispered, as King Alfor made his way over to them.
“Ah, Prince Keithyr,” he said uneasily. Keith winced. Oh, right. Now that Lotor was gone, he was expected to take on ambassador duties for the Empire, wasn’t he? This was gonna get awkward. “Our most humble apologies and deepest condolences go out to you and the Empire as well. Forgive me my momentary lapse in protocol—”
Yep. Super awkward.
“Please, your majesty,” he said, holding up a hand to forestall any further ‘niceties.’ “You don’t ever need to apologize to me. Officially, I can’t apologize to you either, but—” he sighed, “unofficially, I want to kick my brother in the….” He trailed off with a vague handwave, very aware that it was against protocol to swear in front of the local monarch.
“Quiznak?” King Alfor finished for him with a small smile.
Keith shrugged helplessly. Yeah. That. Thank God the Alteans had come up with such an all-inclusive word.
“I’ll need to get ahold of the Emperor, to see how he wants to handle all of this….” Ugh, his list of responsibilities had just grown exponentially!
“Yes, I’ll need to make a statement as well…,” King Alfor trailed off, no doubt making his own list of new duties in the light of this tragedy.
Keith only half-paid attention, he kept glancing at Lance. For any other disaster, he’d be over there, making sure the prince was comfortable and didn’t do anything stupid… maybe offer him a friendly shoulder to cry on, or a bowl of his favorite comfort food. Now, all he could do was watch as Lance buried his face in his hands, trying to stifle his sobs.
And Keith hated it.

“Eyes in the Red Light District”
The Voice Villain, Mic; you ask heroes and they will say he is nothing more than a villain. Not as harmful as some, but a villain nevertheless.
You ask the people in the Shimkicho** district...
They'll tell you otherwise.
Pre-”When I was a Villain” Ao3 Link
~~~~~~
Pt.1
It was the scream that had Mic running. He pushed through the groups of people rushing in the opposite direction. Red light district, Shimkicho. Usually something truly heinous had to have happened to have people rushing away like this.
Rushing past bars and several questionable clubs and small stores he finally gotten to the scene. No police there yet, not that he expected any to show up at anytime soon. After all, this area of the city, not like they’d care in the first place. Heroes don’t even bother to do walkabout.
Alright, maybe one hero…he felt his lips curl into a smile just thinking about them…
His hero.
Shaking his head, he could think about his hero later. Right now he had to see what was going on.
He could see a body, laying twisted on the ground, and several woman cowering, pressed up against the nearest wall. Their makeup running down their faces as they still screamed and cried. As he got closer he could see what was actually behind causing their distress. He assumed it was the body, but it was more than that…
There were two.
“Mic?”
He looked over to see a tanned woman with bright pink hair and eyes woman. Her mini dress hugging her body, and ending at about mid thigh, only leaving a sliver of skin between the bottom hem and the top of her boots. Her fluffy jacket was what he noticed, and her name clicked in his head instantly.
“Ichi, what happened?” He’s had his run ins with this, “unsanctioned” hostess as she preferred to call herself. Spent many a nights laid up on her couch nursing injuries when he couldn’t drag himself to his own place.
Usually she’s collected but now...she nearly threw herself at him, crying. “H-Hunny sh-she’s--!!” She could barely speak and pointed to the scene.
Grabbing onto the woman’s shoulder he pulled her away and he adjusted his voice to a more calming pitch. “Ichi, I need you to breathe, and tell me what happened. You mentioned Hunny, what happened to her?”
Hunny...girl was a few years out of high school. She was low on money, and just couldn’t get hired. She wasn’t qualified enough, or ‘had the right appearance’. She was a sweet girl...wanted to become a nurse.
Ichi sobbed as she tired to calm herself down, letting his voice wash over her. She took a gulp of air and shook before she tried to talk. “S-she...we were all heading home,” she began. “T-then we heard something fallin’, something heavy...and t-then!”
“Ichi, calm down.”
“THAT!” She pointed at the body. “I-it….HU-nny! Hunny--it-they crushed Hunny!”
His eyes widened as he imagined what they saw. It had to of been brutal…
So that’s what happened. No wonder the panic, a body, tossed from the rooftops...and crushing somebody in the process. And these women...they all watch helplessly as their friend was killed in front of them.
Mic took a slow and steady breathe. “Ichi...I need you to stay here with me.”
“I-I! Mic please I can’t...Hunny...sh-she…” she cried and shook her head.
Carefully he moved his hands to here face. “I know Ichi, I know...but you know what’ll happen when the authorities arrive. They’ll just dismiss it it….like they always do here.”
Ichi sniffled. “I...I can’t…”
“You do this...and I promise, I’ll stop by tonight and sing to you. Alright?”
Warm pink eyes looked up to him. “Y-you would?”
“Think you can sleep after seeing this?” Mic asked with a slight smirk tugging at his lips.
Ichi choked out a small laugh. “A-alright...you better keep your word. Or else n-next time, I’ll just let ya bleed out on the streets.”
He barked out a laugh and stepped back. “Alright…” he began as he went over to the bodies and crouched down. The one on top, had to been the one tossed down. They were mostly nude, save for the pair of messy underwear. He could see the long, Y-shaped scar that ran from their navel up to their clava--his eyes widened slightly. That light lavender hair...and the stunning tattoo of an owl on their neck...
He recognized it.
Kid was just out of college, he stopped in regularly  at Empty Shelves due to the debt. Bight kid. Happy, friendly, was excited to attend an open house for a company.
Fuck what was it called?
“Mic what’re you--” Ichi asked as Mic reached out and carefully lifted an eyelid. She gasped and covered her mouth as she turned away.
Gone. Mic swallowed a bit as he reached down and pushed at the center of their chest...it gave way under the slight pressure. As if the chest cavity was hollow. Shit. Dammit, dammit dammit.
Taking a deep breath to prepared himself he carefully shifted the body off the other pinned beneath.
He heard Ichi take in a sharp breath as she tried to muffle another sob. Such a young girl...blood pooling around her. Her golden hair stained red. To die in such a horrifying way. He couldn’t bring himself to roll her over to see the full damage. Not with Ichi here. He was about to stand up but something caught his eye. A piece of paper sticking out of Hunny’s pocket of her cropped jacket.
He apologized to her before reaching in and pulling it out. A flier? A business flier.
Shit that was the name of it.
Nakagawa Research In Motion LLC.
The same flier the kid showed him.
He stood up. Just as he heard sirens. “Ichi stay here.”
“A-are you crazy!? Do you know what’ll happen if I--”
He went to her. “They’ll let you off if you tell them when you saw. Trust me, Abe is on patrol,” he smirked. “He has a sweet spot for you.”
Ichi huffed and looked up to him. “You owe me at least three songs.”
“You do this...and I will sing all night long for you.”
--
Mic had to look into this more. He KNEW something was up. HE’s seen those fucking fliers everywhere. He rushed to small hide-out. Wasn’t anything big, small corner of a warehouse, behind a fake wall, he had set up years ago. Cot, coffee maker, small safe, and a laptop. It wasn’t much but it didn’t need to be.
He could hear machinery whirling and humming just beyond the fake wall. Had to make this quick and quiet.
The “supposed” reasoning to all those goddamn fliers was due to a new office opening in the southern area of the city.
Mic didn’t buy it.
Well not all of it.
He COULD believe that they needed help with staffing, but with how, opened and vague the prerequisites needed for the job openings. Seemed like they were willing to just take anyone. Sounded too good to be true.
And Mic knew anything that sounded too good to be true, usually was. So many names and people went to those open houses...and some were just never heard of.
He bit his lip as he pressed further into getting any sort of leads. Those who were just never seen afterwards? He doubt he wouldn’t have even known through means of reports, or if he asked more “respectable” people in the city.
Homeless, out of work...questionable work.
People that the “well off” members of society would do what they could to keep themselves at a distance.
Mic was getting a bad feeling from this. It didn’t help that when he dug deeper into looking up on Nakgawa he came across the name Kajiguchi several times.
He swallowed.Kajiguchi? As in the Kajiguchi family?
What the fuck?
He rubbed a hand down his face. Shiiiit what the hell was he getting himself into?  He checked the time.
Almost 2AM. He frowned...looks like he’d be missing his hero tonight. He feels like he’s standing up the eraser hero. Shaking his head slightly. Once he figures out what the hell is going on here...once this is settled enough for him, then he’ll make it up.
He giggled a bit, maybe he can make it last the entire night? Just an entire night of cat and mouse with the hero.
Mic felt his heart race as he bit down on the skin between his thumb and forefinger to keep his laughing down. He promises himself to make it up to the hero. As for now...he should get going to Ichi’s.
He DID owe her a night of singing.
--
Ichi nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the rapting knock on her window. She was on the third floor, ain’t nobody should be able to knock on her widows! Glancing over she could see, precariously perched on the fire escape was the blonde. Sighing as she went over pulling her night shirt on as she opened the window.
“Can’t you just use a door? Or buzz for me?”
“I thought I was being followed,” Mic shrugged as he climbed in. “So...was I right?”
She heaved a sigh. “If I said yes you’d laugh...hell if I say no you’d laugh.” Mic just snickered. “But...yeah you were right. That Abe guy...even walked me home.”
“Sounds like you have an admirer.”
“Shut the fuck up,” she huffed and he just laughed. “ ‘sides why’d he’d want somebody like me?”
“Hmmmm same reason why I want my hero?”
She rolled her eyes. “Not talkin’ about this...you promised you’d sing for me...the entire night. You better stay.”
Mic held up his hands in defense.
“I mean it...I’ll...make you coffee in the mornin’ too.”
The blonde smiled. “Alright...what did you want to hear first?”
Pt. 2
“Excuse me? Nakagawa-san?”
“Huh?” A tried man dressed in a three piece suite turned to look over his shoulder to see a man approach him.
“Inspector Abe,” the other man introduced as he showed his badge. “I’m sure you’ve heard about what happened Shimkicho?”
“I have, but what does that have to do with me?”
“Seems that there was a flier for your company there,” the inspector began. “And according to witnesses and acquaintances of the two victims both were on the way to an open house your company was putting on.”
“I see,” Nakagawa began. “Could be a coincidence. We’ve been handing fliers out all over the city since we’ve now opened a south office. We’re in desperate need of filling positions.”
Abe nodded. “I see,” he pulled out two photos and showed them to the man. “Do you recognize them at all?
Nakagawa looked them over. “Sadly I can’t say that I have...though I think the boy was at the most recent open house. Can’t forget a tattoo like that.”
“And the girl?”
“I’m sorry. I can have my secretary prove you with a copy of the sign in book,” he offerened. “We encouraged everyone who attended to signed it.”
The inspector nodded. “We’d appreciate that.”
“I’ll ask her to drop it off…” Nakgawa said as he made his way home, the inspector trailing behind. “If there’s anything else I can help you with, please stop by the center office.”
“Actually if I could just borrow a little bit more of your ti--”
“I’m sorry Abe-san, but it is late,” he said, and then proceeded slammed the door shut in the face of the investigator.
He sighed as he undid his tie button the top few buttons open as he trekked through his darkened home. Whoever fucking disposed the body that way...fuck! Kajiguchi better have some explanation!
When he walked into his kitchen and turned on the light he jumped nearly screamed. His heart was racing a mile a minute as he saw who as casually leaning against the island countertop. Eyes darting over to the large bay window, the curtains wafting in the breeze. He could catch a bit of shattered glass littering the floor.
Those swirling green eyes were bright and stared right through him.
“Evenin’ Nakagawa.”
“Y-You! I-I’m calling the cops!”
“Hey hey,” the man said, and Nakagawa knew that was a mistake. The pitch that voice was talking in...made his head spin. H-he couldn’t. “See, I’m just here ta talk with ya,” they began as they pushed themselves away from the island, making their way over to them. “Ya see...I’ve been noticin’ some people have gone missing.”
Nakagawa flinched as he felt those all too skinny finger trail along his shoulder as the blonde circled him.  W-what did he know?!
--
Mic was not in a mood to play around. He found the trend. Several people from Open Doors, Open Hearts mentioned about attending an open house at Nakagawa Research In Motion LLC.
They never came back.
And now, he had an answer as to why.
“Seems strange, that those who just, turned up missing all had a flier to your open house,” Mic continued.
Nakagawa’s vision swam as he felt the room spin. T-this goddamn Quirk! THIS FUCKING QUIRK!
“I mean, sure you opened that new branch, and I could see you maybe needing to fill up positions quickly,” he continued. “But something just doesn’t fit right. No prerequisites? No dress code guidelines? No references...no background checking?”
Nakagawa staggered and held onto the doorframe as he covered his mouth.
And yet the blonde kept talking.
“Maybe you wanted it to be informal...maybe. But I think there’s more to it,” Mic continued as he approached him. “It’s a screening for you.”
“I,” Nakagwa swallowed as he tried to keep himself steady. “I have no idea, wh-what you’re talking about.”
“C’mon Nakagawa, ya know I hate fucking liars.”
Nakagawa tried to scramble out, but was hit with a wave of nausea.
“All I’m asking is, what you know?”
Nakagawa grit his teeth as he felt slavia gather in his mouth. “I...don’t know anything,” he heaved.
And then...it was gone.
He barely had a chance to get his bearings right before a strong hold grabbed him by his shoulder and head and he was slammed down against the countertop of the island.
“I just SAID  that I FUCKING hate LIARS,” Mic growled letting his volume raise slightly, causing the room to vibrate.
Nakagawa gasped and groaned in pain as he struggled.  “I don’t know anything!” He froze as he felt hot breath wash over his ear.
“You sure about that?”
Dear GOD it felt like a drill was whirling away inside his head!
“Because, I got ALLLLLL night. I can just keep asking,” Mic giggled as he felt the man struggle more. “And asking, and asking. I’m a real talker, ya know. I can go on for hours.”
Mic knew something was up when he started to see more and more new articles of police finding bodies in the more bizarre of places…
On park benches.
Corners of subway stations.
One was ever found inside a jungle gym in a run down neighborhood.
Mic will never forget the image...of soft lavender hair...and a detail, intricate owl tattoo. Tossing him like he was just garbage off the rooftop.
Crushing and killing that young woman too.
Organs harvested out of them. Eyes gone.
And he KNEW Nakagawa knew something.
“Sure...you may not get your hands dirty, you’re just the delivery boy,” Mic teased. “For Kajiguchi-san, right?”
Nakagawa’s head was reeling. He felt sick. He was in such fucking pain.
And HE still kept talking. The tones in the blonde’s voice shifted causing a myriad of sensations to course through the businessman at a rate that would probably have him black out  if it was done by natural causes.
“Y-y-you think, I...w-want this?” Nakagawa finally choked out. “I-if m-my life can b-be spared th-then they can t-take all tho-those low lifes in exchange.”
“Hmmm seems like somebody has a debt they can’t pay,” Mic teased in a sing-song voice. “So...did Kajiguchi-san help make that foot hold for you to help you climb to where you are now? Or toss you down a rope?”
“F-fuck yooou,” Nakagawa drawled as he coughed, feeling bile rising.
“So how often do they stop by?”
There was no answer, and Mic twisted the arm, causing the man to cry out.
“Let’s try that again, ne Nakagawa-kun?” Mic smirked. “How. Often. Do. They. Stop?”
Nakagawa huffed and tried to catch his breath. “T-twice a week.”
“Time?”
The businessman struggled and almost cried out when the blonde was getting close to breaking his arm. He could FEEL his bone creaking.
“T-t-three! FUCKING SHIT!”
“Now…was that so hard?” Mic asked as finally released his hold, and flipped his sunglasses down over his eyes.
Nakagawa coughed as he straightened himself and winced at the bruises he knew were forming, his elbow hurt to move. He shuddered as he felt, something leak out of his ears. “Like you can do anything! I’ll let any hero know, and they won’t let you ne--”
He was cut off when the blonde was almost nose to nose with him. Those greens eyes still so visible through the deep red lenses.
“Tell them what? A villain made vague threats about exposing your trafficking scheme? That they’re casually going to drop in whenever there’s a possibility of an exchange?” Mic grinned. “Oh no...I know you won’t tell.”
“How the hell do you know that!?”
The blonde smirked before he let out a slightly deranged cackle. “Y-you’d really have a hero patrol both in and OUTSIDE your offices? OUTSIDE where you have those PICKUPS set?”
Nakagawa felt a cold sweat break out over his entire body. His suit was suddenly two sizes too tight, and he stomach dropped to his feet.
“How do you HONESTLY think Kajiguchi, THE Kajiguchi-san, would feel about seeing that?” He grinned almost showing too much teeth for anyone’s liking. “So yeah...I know you can’t be that stupid.”
The business man shook as the blonde leaned in, close...very, very close.
“I’m going to just watch you Nakagawa…” he whispered. “Don’t worry, I’ll give you hints as to when I’m there,” a giggle bubbled out. “I’m not THAT cruel.”
Nakagawa shuddered as the blonde pulled away, body moving as if he hand a liquid spine. It sickened the other man.
“Sleep tight,” Mic grinned as he headed back over the window. Pulled back the curtains to show the entirety of the damage. “And pleasant dreams.” And with that the blonde left, his laugh shaking the windows and hung picture frames as he jumped out.
Leaving Nakagawa alone in disoriented.
The threat still fresh in his mind.
--
It’s been two days since that night...and Nakagawa didn’t see hide nor hair of that blonde maniac. Maybe he was just trying to scare him.
Maybe he was just lying to make himself scarier. Maybe he was--
“You’re pickup is scheduled at three, right?”
Nakagawa felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
That voice...
RWBY V6 CH6 Review: Alone in the Woods
Have you ever felt terrified of an episode? Well, that’s a silly question! We’re watching RWBY! Of course we have! But man this may be the most worried about what’s going to happen that I’ve been for a long while. I could say that about the whole volume so far tbf, but MAN have been concerned. So after the outright uncomfortable atmosphere that the last episode presented, what does this one have in store for us? Lets find out.
Overview
Night has come, and our heroes aren't doing great. WBY looks outright ready to pass out as they sit infront of the fire as Ruby checks in on Qrow, whose mood is no better. The good news is that the storm is clearing up and all should be clear by morning. Ruby however is more concerned about if Qrow is doing okay, especially since she sees that he's found a bottle of alcohol. But Qrow shrugs it off, telling her to get everyone to sleep and that he'll wake them up in the morning. During this, Maria is reading the owners journals and as with all the other places, the Brunswick Farm owners were people trying to make a life for themselves, but they didn't make it. Everyone goes to bed... well except Maria who refuses to follow Qrow's orders. Maria is such a blessing.
Morning soon arrives, Ruby being awakened when she hears a bottle that Qrow had shatter. She realizes that they overslept and goes to get up her uncle... who now has a couple more bottles than eh previously had. She isn't happy about this. She looks outright... frustrated tbh. She can't shake him awake so, clearly mad, she simply tosses a bottle at the wall and that wakes Qrow up. It's... an interesting reaction. IDK any alcoholics or had family or friends who became alcoholics, an Thank God for it. But this felt... real. Lie this is how it is when someone you care about is too deep in their alcoholism. Ruby's clearly seen this before, as V5 also hinted. Only this time instead of being annoyed,s he's frustrated and tired of it. But as Qrow comes to, she calms down and hugs him, telling him that he can talk to her or Yang if anything is wrong. Qrow again just brushes it off, wanting to get out of the place. It's such a small, but impactful scene that really amps up the concern for Qrow.
The group gets ready to connect the wagon (I know there's a name for those things but I can't thin of it) to Yang's bike and get out, though all of them are clearly tired. It's not made any better when Qrow's bad luck hits and causes a flat tire. This seems to be the last straw for him as he goes off in a huff. Ruby seems to be the only one not delirious aside form Maria, saying that they can find a spare. But Yang isn't keen on it, pointing out their bad luck. Crashes, storms, monsters, it just looks like something doesn't want them to get to Atlas. It feels like no matter what, they always have to fight in order to pull through. When Ruby says that this is what they signed up for, Oscar makes a very strong point. They signed up to save the world, not to delay the inevitable.
Weiss brings back up the point that she brought up last time, why are they even going to Atlas? Ruby is again shocked that this is even a consideration, but Yang and Blake agree. The Relics may be in vaults currently, so why not just leave the lamp where they are? It could take her who knows how long ti find it if they just drop it down the well. I'd argue that since the Grimm re attracted to them, it wouldn't be too long, but then again she hasn't found the Beacon Relic, so... and even then,t hat's not the point. It's pretty clear that all that the others want to do is just give up on this whole thing and be done with it. Their eyes are lifeless. Their talk is in complete monotone. They look outright lifeless as they tell Ruby to just drop the Relic, all of them tired...
Throughout this, Ruby just looks outright horrified at what she's hearing... but soon she starts to think about this. She walks towards the well, also admitting that she herself is also tired. She takes off the Relic, holding it above the well with trembling hands. Her eyes too look lifeless and her expression emotionless... before she lets out a sigh. She slowly pulls back her hand, seeming to decide that no matter how tired she is, she can't just abandon the Relic until it's safe in Atlas. Unfortunately, she gets startled by a pair of glowing red eyes and that is enough to snap her out of her tired state... but also drop the Relic. She panics, even as the others say that it's fine and that her exhaustion is making her see things. Qrow starts to have Oscar work to fix the tire, but Ruby finally realizes that something is wrong and puts her foot down. She angrily refuses to go anywhere without the Relic. The girls, while still emotionless, agree to go down with her as Qrow angrily goes back into the house, ordering Oscar to fix the tire.
As the girls go through the caverns below, Maria continues to read through the journals. As she reads on, there is clear tension as the girls turn off their Scroll lights to find the lamp glow. Ruby outright even gets Crescent Rose out. SH finally finds the glow of the lamp and runs to grab it... as Maria stumbles upon a page titled The Apathy. One that clearly startles her. Why? Well when Ruby gets the Relic, she also finds the source of the glowing eyes... a horde of Grimm. But not like an that we've seen before. These look humanoid, kinda like the rider part of the Nuckalavee, and... it is creepy. Really, REALLY creepy. Ruby screams as she runs out, which snaps the other three out of their trances. Thy get ready to fight... but their weapons suddenly feel heavy and they once again start feeling tired.
Maria appears, telling them that they have to run. They do so, The Apathy giving chase. They are slow, heck it feels a LOT like a zombie horde. Considering their skeleton-like designs, I imagine that it was intentional. It doesn't help that throughout, all the girls keep feeling the same exhausted feeling. They finally make it into the same cellar that was locked before, but the feeling finally get the better of them. Only Ruby and Maria seem to have any kind of will left and worst, Blake is the farthest back and seems to resign herself to being killed as the Grimm close in. Ruby tries to crawl over to her, and the scene is just... creepy. In her state, Blake already looks lie she's dead. Motionless, wide but empty eyed, her weapon discarded as the horde start to close in on her. Poor Ruby can't get over to her and the others are in no state to help, so all that she can do is scream out Blake's name... and that is enough to activate her eyes for a brief moment. It kills a couple of the Grimm and again breaks everyone out of their daze. Ruby gets Blake and all that they have to do now is get out.
Unfortunately if you recall, the cellar is locked. Yang gets ready to go and break it open... but The Apathy still has plenty of numbers as they again cast their spell. Everyone but Maria goes down, Yang outright panicking ad she screams no while just steps away from the door. But Maria seems to realize something as she crawls over to Ruby. She asks her what her eye color is, to which Ruby replies silver. This makes Maria outright happy as she asks Ruby if she has a family and loved ones. Why? She tells her to focus on the way that they make her feel To focus those feelings as she speaks of how life is a beautiful thing. How life is precious. And how it must be protected. With all of that in mind, Ruby regains her resolve, her eyes flashing. She gets back up and this time, without and provicaiton from trauma or fear, unleashes her Silver Eyes power.
The eyes kill the Grimm, allowing everyone to regain their will. Yang breaks open the door and they all find themselves in the bar where Qrow unsurprisingly is. He's clearly drunken himself into a stupor however, grouchy and seeming detached form everything going on. The objective now is to get out of there as Maria, Yang, ad Blake run outside to where Oscar has fixed the tire. But Weiss isn't ready to go yet. She grabs several alcohol bottles and shatter them at the cellar door. The Apathy start to emerge... and Weiss sets everything ablaze. She and Ruby drag Qrow out, who argues and fights back... until he finally sees the burning Grimm. He's shocked into silence seeming to realize how badly he let himself go, as everyone loads up. Yang drives them all away form the Farm, which continues to burn...
Maria reveals what caused the farms downfall. They came upon financial hardships so hoping to save costs on hiring a Huntsman, the owner went and captured two of The Apathy. He locked them into the cellar, hoping that their influence would keep everyone calm and therefore the negative emotions wouldn't draw any further Grimm in. No Grimm, no Huntsmen needed. But unfortunately, the rest of the horde seeked out their own and their presence soon sucked out all of the residents wills to live. Maria just seems sad as she realizes all of this, throwing the book into the snow. Weiss and Yang apologize for how they acted, resolving to not give up until the Relic is safe in Atlas. Maria feels guilty for not realizing what was happening sooner having never seen a settlement die like Brunswick did.
Ruby however has her own questions. She realizes that Maria knows quite a lot about the Grimm an asks how. But that's not all. She remembers how Maria knew exactly what to do in order to get Ruby to release her eyes power. That's right guys, Ruby is finally asking about the Silver Eyes. She ass how Maria knew about this. Maria answers her question, and he gives the answer that we had all been waiting for since this volume began. Yes my friends, our assumptions have finally been confirmed. Maria was indeed a Silver Eyed Warrior.
Review
Damn man, just... DAMN. Okay, we have quite a bit to talk about. So lets keep the scary part out of the way, and then we'll get to the part I REALLY want to talk about.
This episode didn't go the route that I was expecting. I thought that it was going to be some kind of dream Grimm or a Headless Horseman Grimm. I did NOT expect Zombie Horde Grimm. I also thought that this would be some kind of nightmare episode, but nope! And I'm not complaining, in hindsight that would require a LOOOT of time. Having the cast give into apathy and slowly lose their resolve to continue the fight And even the will to live? That is more horrifying then any nightmare could be, especially since none of them even seed aware of it until Ruby snapped out of it. The Apathy may very well be the most terrifying Grimm in the show, They aren't as vicious as say a Beowulf or Ursa, or even as powerful. But they kill you by simply draining your will power, and as this episode demonstrated, that is more lethal than any Grimm attack so far could ever be.
Because of the apathy, the darkest thoughts of the cast really come out. Qrow becomes more drunk than usual and as I already said, it's pretty uncomfortable and realistic. Especially at the end where he's just full out angry and detached, getting angry at Weiss when she breaks the bottles. The look of horror on his face when he finally sees the Grimm and realizes just how badly he let himself slip is... it's shocking. Yang wants to outright quit after all their bad luck and the recent revelations. Weiss gets the idea in everyone's heads after thinking about it last chapter, and this time doesn't snap out of it. Oscar points out that all that they are doing is delaying their inevitable demise since Salem can't die. Everyone is questioning why they should continue the fight at this rate. Even Ruby even if just briefly, gives in and nearly discards the Relic, showing that even she has her limits.
The entire episode is very creepy and outright depressing. The girls emotionless eyes did NOT help. There was no life int hem, or even in their voices. There was just... nothing. They all almost died because of the Grimm making them not care anymore. And all of this happened because one guy wanted to save money. IDK if he did it out of desperation, greed or both but because of it, everyone died. It's a pitiful situation regardless of the motive. I felt like Maria did, just exasperated. It really further demonstrates how hopeless it seems to be for those outside the Kingdoms. Like what we saw with the girls? Imagine that with a small group of people. Imagine that with a whole city. It's a terrifying. Apathy can be a very dangerous thing, for both those who receive it and those who feel it. IDK if I can ever watch RvB, a show that has tons of it, the same way again... God probably none of them would survive The Apathy... well maybe Caboose would. Grif would be a goner though, although maybe already being apathetic would make him immune or... and I'm getting off track XD Sorry!
So yeah creepy as Hell. The atmosphere and acing were just right. It still had some light moments, like Maria refusing to go to bed and both Blake and Oscar being too tired to make food despite wanting it. That is such a mood. But overall the atmosphere was an uncomfortable as last week, only with plenty of fear for our heroes lives sprinkled in. Very, very well done.
But lets get to the real star of this episode: Ruby. In the past, I expressed how I felt that she got the shaft VERY badly in V5. Clearly, CRWBY is fixing that. Throughout these past six chapters, Ruby has been such an amazing character. Still optimistic and good-intention but she's showing much more of her development and growth. She's stepped up as a leader and is keeping alert. She's questioning things and thinking for herself, but still doing her best to take care of her team. She's frustrated at Qrow and upset about the revelations about Ozpin, but she's not letting them control her. She's outright trying her best to get Qrow to open up infact. She's the only one who gave a damn about Oscar and tried to comfort him, even if Qrow shot her efforts down. And in this episode? Despite The Apathy's effects on her, she refuses to give up. Even as she holds the Relic over the well, her hands are trembling in doubt. She was pulling it away from the well, deciding to keep fighting and go to Atlas because it is the right thing to do. But she also put her foot down, showing frustration with Qrow and REFUSING to leave without the Relic despite everyone around her not caring.
Then we have the climax. First, her attempt to save Blake. Weiss and Yang seem to just give up and even Blake resigns herself to death. But Ruby, despite being weighed down, still tries her damnest to save her teammate. And then when she herself is finally brought down, Maria is able to give her the exact encouragement that she needed. Maria got her to think about the happiness and love that her family and friends give her. That life is a precious, beautiful thing. She signed up for this to save lives and make the world better in any way that she can. That is what motivates her. That is why she is where she is. And it is what gave her the strength to break free and use her powers of her own will. And finally at the end, she FINALLY asks about the eyes. Sure it's not to Ozpin, but it IS to someone who clearly knows and can give her at least some kind of answer.
Maria s exactly the kind of character that Ruby NEEDS to help her along. Maria is a sassy old lady, but also wise, knowledgeable, and also seems to care about saving other lives. She seemed just sad when reading about what happened to the farm. Infact that was where her focus was, finding out what happened that cost so many their lives. It seems like, to me, the Silver Eye powers are fulled by the desire to protect and live. It is fulled by positive emotions, which make sense since the Grimm are fueled by negative emotion. It's hwy Maria got on the girls in Chapter  for spewing negativity, It's why she's been so far overall very positive, even though clearly SOMETHING happened that cost her her eyes. She is the wise, but kindly person that Ruby currently needs. Ozpin's shadiness and current broken state can't do that right now. Maria is such a welcome addition to the cast, and so far her inclusion has been so good and looks to be leading to even greater things. I frekain' love her.
Going back to Ruby though.. this is what I have been wanting form her since Volume 3. It feels like the multiple timelines and other characters needing the focus is why Ruby got shafted so badly. There was clearly so much going on that something had to be put on pause, and Ruby ended up being the one to get it. This has everything that I have been wanting to see from her. Her growth as a leader, her encouraging nature in spite of all the bad luck, her questioning things and showing some semblance of frustration and anger, her learning about the Silver Eyes. This is the Ruby Rose that I have been waiting for. I've been incredibly patient with CRWBY getting to this, and it is FINALLY paying off. You guys have no idea how happy I was when Ruby willingly used the eyes. How she refused to give up despite everything and everyone around her trying to provoke her. How she is still resolved to do good no matter what. I'm still hoping for her to open up more about her more negative feelings and have a breakdown so that she can move forward, but right now? This is very much the right direction for her, and I could not be happier about my favorite character right now.
Final Thoughts
This volume continues to give. This chapter was creepy and unsettling, but also tense and impactful. It had an awesome if horrifying Grimm concept that is going to haunt my nightmares. It had one Hell of an end and let us see the true dark feelings of most of the characters. It did wonders for Maria as well. Ut this chapter was especially great because of Ruby. She is truly showing the inspiring figure that she is meant to be as she continues to step up as a leader and try to do what's right. I feel like the missteps with her in V5 have now been amended, and hopefully we'll see things continue to go uphill as we reach the halfway mark. Awesome chapter and I loved every single second of it! Well done CRWBY!
How to Win an Argument VS NCT (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Taeyong (Sun Cancer, Mercury Gemini, Virgo Mars)
You’ll probably need time with this one. It’s very rare for Taeyong to get into an argument and it won’t be without a serious reason. He’d probably get triggered only if his loved ones were in trouble or doing something stupidly dangerous. He’s pretty collected in a conflict, more upset and saddened than angry, might play the victim “Why don’t you ever think about others? Why do you have to be so reckless?”. Tries to resolve everything peacefully. Uses both, his feeling and facts, to prove his point. Might throw in some sarcastic insults to show how stupid your opinion is.
Just try to understand his feelings as he wouldn’t raise a storm for nothing, it must be pretty serious, calm him down, tell him “Okay, I’ll try to take care of myself more, for you. I promise everything will be alright”. Prove to him that everything will be alright. Even if you two come to an agreement Taeyong would need a few days to collect himself. Don’t stop encouraging and reassuring him, it would mean the world to him. :)
Tumblr media
Taeil (Sun Gemini, Mercury Cancer, Mars Taurus)
Taeil is a peaceful buddy and most of the time compromises to avoid any conflicts but beware if you try to use him or if you have beef with his best friends. Because this guy can be as stubborn and loud about it as it can get. Countless “Fuck off”s and “Get the hell away from me”. Give up on trying to change Taeil’s opinion, if he says his friend is innocent - he is, if he says you’re the biggest a*shole alive - you better admit that you are. It’s less about facts with evidence and more about how he feels betrayed, used or insulted.
Honestly, your best bet is just to give in and try to slightly change his opinion bit by bit by showing how more advantageous or more fun your way of doing things would be. With Taurus Mars there are no fast opinion changes, you’ll have to work with him and show bit by bit that you’re actually not that bad of a person. “Alright, I get it, I messed up but it would be a shame to throw away these products, what do you say we talk about it after a meal?”. Cook him something nice, put on his favorite album, light some candles and see his heart opening up~ Taurus love worldly spoils.
Tumblr media
source x
Johnny (Sun Aq, Mercury Aq, Mars Leo)
Well… this is a difficult case. Not to write about, to win against. Johnny enjoys arguments and he would start a conflict just for the fun of it. And he does it not because he loses such discussions. He’s the master arguer, all his fights and arguments are well thought out, factual and logical, he won’t start a fight he can’t win. Johnny enjoys the mind stimulation these conversations have. He has a weak spot though - his reputation or character. Don’t try to insult his pride or bring him down. You’ll make it personal. “That’s quite pathetic, your jealousy is showing”
Now, it is possible to swing him your way, just don’t try to appeal to his emotional side too much, he’d find it cheating. Try to understand his opinion (as he’s usually right anyways) and if you think your way is still better try to factually explain how your way would get the job done faster. He’d probably get interested in new ways of doing the same old thing. Suggest something bizarre and he just might roll with you. “Your idea is smarter without a doubt but imagine how surprised everybody would be if we drove to your parents with a limo?” As I said, he thinks of conflicts as brain stimulation, surprise him!
Tumblr media
source x
Yuta (Sun Scorpio, Mercury Libra, Mars Sag)
He won’t start reckless arguments unless he sees injustice, deceit or lies. He’s like a justice warrior in that sense. Yuta would be pretty chill with anything else tbh. In day-to-day conversations he probably puts himself at a disadvantage simply to avoid any conflict and create a good atmosphere. Yuta also has that playfully vicious Scorpio Sun so he might innocently tease others once in a while. Just don’t be stupid and try to justify your lies it’ll hit the trigger in him. He swears a lot during conflicts. Would probably keep shouting “Fuck off” “I don’t give a shit about it, you did what you did” “Don’t bother” “You’ll regret this”. He’d just leave the room and do something else, you can argue with yourself if you want. If you’ll keep bringing it up and try to explain yourself he’d probably cut you off. Yuta would probably hold a grudge for a few days and would try to take some sort of revenge on you but everything would be cool after that.
Put up with his blunt vocabulary, don’t take it to heart. Like, you really need a thick skin for all the sh*t you’re going to hear from him. I wouldn’t try to change his mind if I were you because he dislikes losing. Tbh wining an argument vs scorpio is punishable by death, so the wise choice would be to give in. You could subtly, using twisted mind games, influence his point of view so he doesn’t feel like he lost. The good thing is only the sleazy cheaters and assholes get to see this horrifying side of Yuta!
Tumblr media
Doyoung (Sun Aquarius, Mercury Cap, Mars Aq)
Another argument lover. Challenging people is one of his hobbies and he enjoys a quality intellectual duel. He has his beliefs, arguments for them as well as the whole fight planned out before it even starts. After your every sentence you’d probably hear “Actually it’s (explains why you’re completely wrong)”. And surrendering won’t help here, he just wants to have fun and prove a point. Now, differently from Johnny, he’s far more cold and collected during arguments his Capricorn Mercury is great on focusing on details and dissecting every sentence thrown at him. I’d strongly advise against calling him stupid or interfering with his work, you’d get the worst of it. “Are you done?” *intellectually K.O.’s you*
He might like arguments but Doyoung won’t fight with you for stupid reasons. If one were to experience it, I’d say treat it like a fight with a boss? Make it so it would be convenient for him to lose the argument “Okay, so if you know so much about cleaning then why don’t you clean the house by yourself?” I doubt he’d still try to prove his point after that.
Jaehyun (Yoonoh) (Sun Aq, Mercury Aq, Mars Libra)
Yoonoh has Sun and Mercury in Aquaries so he has strong opinions and unique views on subjects (don’t try to undermine them) but he’s not fond of arguments at all. Probably tries to avoid them at all cost. The only times he would get furious would be seeing injustice or somebody cheating on him. “I’ve been nothing but fair to you, and you repay me like this?” Logical and argumentative speech, would try his best to compromise (usually sacrificing himself for the sake of others though).
He wouldn’t argue. He’d negotiate. Just compile a case, gather evidence, prepare your witnesses. If your point is strong he’ll agree, otherwise, you two will come to a midpoint and be both happy. Just for the love of god don’t insult his views, it would hurt him more than he’d show.
(Brooke's POV)
The plane ride from Boston to Toronto went well. I was able to take an hour and a half nap which was nice. We landed around 2am and I was still very much tired from traveling around all day. Tyler was sweet and carried my suitcase for me along with his own and I carried my backpack I had brought as a carry on.
Tyler told me that he hadn't told any of his family members that he was going to be visiting yet, it was a surprise to everyone so we took an uber back to his apartment that he had here for vacations and summer break. He gave me a quick tour of the apartment before we decided we were too tired and needed to go to bed.
I had went downstairs to grab a water before going to sleep and headed over to the couch. Tyler came back downstairs and grabbed a water before he noticed that I was sitting on the couch.
"You okay?" he asked and walked over to me.
"Yeah," I smiled and set my phone on the coffee table. "Was just plugging in my phone before I go to sleep," I said.
"Brooke," Tyler sighed and shook his head.
"What?" I asked and looked up at him.
"At this point haven't you realized I'm never going to let you sleep somewhere uncomfortable? Come on," he said as he grabbed my phone charger out of the wall and picked up my phone before he took my hand and pulled me with him up the stairs.
"Tyler it's really okay," I said but continued to follow him.
"It's really not though," he said. "You act like for the last week we didn't sleep in the same bed and have done it a number of times back at home. Is it really weird for best friends to sleep in the same bed?"
"I mean other people-"
"There's no one else here, who cares?" Tyler interrupted as he got into the bed.
"I was going to say other people have an issue with girls and guys being close friends with each other in the first place as it is. But no to us it isn't weird. However you know me, I'm never the type of person to just do something without being invited," I laughed and crawled into the bed next to him.
"Well those type of people are dumb and don't know what they are missing," he smiled and pulled the covers over us and wrapped his arm around me, letting my head rest on his shoulder like he had for the last week.
"Yeah you're right."
"Like usual," Tyler smirked and I rolled my eyes. "Okay lets get some rest, it was a long day and knowing my mom shes going to want to spend all day with us tomorrow if shes free," He said and closed his eyes.
"Goodnight Ty," I smiled and closed my eyes.
"Goodnight Brooke," he said softly before pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
Tyler and I may not be the normal type of best friends. We are probably a lot closer than most people would be comfortable being to one another seeing as we aren't together, but it just felt natural for the both of us for some reason. It was nice to have that with someone and not feel like there was any pressure to act a certain way. It was becoming routine for us to sleep in the same bed over this last week and I was sad that it would be over once we got home.
"Don't be nervous," Tyler smiled as he pulled into his parent's driveway.
"Me? Nervous? Naaah," I laughed and looked out the window.
"I know you too well, you didn't have to say a word I can feel it radiating off of you. It's going to be fine."
"I know its just-" I took a deep breath "-they don't even know you are here let alone me, some random chick they don't know even exists."
"Well they know you exist."
"They do?"
"Yeah! What did you think I was going to move someone into my house and not tell my family about it?" Tyler chuckled and took my hand. "Seriously they will love you. Now come on before they see us and it ruins the surprise," He said and got out of the car.
I followed behind him, both of us trying to be quiet as we approached the door. Tyler knocked on it a few times and we heard his mom's voice call out "Just a second!" before we heard footsteps and the doorknob turn.
"Yes?" She asked before she had even opened the door enough to see who was on the other side. She gasped, her eyes wide when she saw that it was Tyler. "Oh my god!" She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "I didn't know you were coming!"
"I know I wanted to surprise you," he smiled and hugged her back.
"Well you did a good job at that!" She smiled as she pulled back from the hug.
"Mom this is Brooke, my best friend, you remember me telling you about her," He smiled and gestured towards me. "Brooke this is my mom, Jackie."
"Very nice to meet you Mrs. Seguin," I smiled and reached out my hand.
Jackie smiled at Tyler and back at me "You can call me Jackie, sweetheart," she said and gave me a hug.
"Your sisters and inside," Jackie said to Tyler and the three of us walked into the house.
"Tyler?!" I heard a voice call from the other room, figuring it was one of his sisters.
Lots of hugs and greetings were exchanged between everyone in between Tyler introducing me to his family. Everyone was excited that he was back home for a little while and only slightly confused as to why I was there. I didn't expect for them to already know who I was before we met, but apparently Tyler had talked about me a few times.
We spent a few hours with them before they had to head off to work or whatever other plans they already had for the day. We planned to meet back up with them later tonight for dinner, in the meantime Tyler decided he wanted to show me around his hometown like I had done for him last week.
It was really cool to see where he had grown up and all the different places that brought back memories and meant a lot to him. Hearing old stories and watching Tyler smile as he remembered things he probably hadn’t thought about in a while made me happy. Granted him just smiling in general made me happy but I felt lucky that I got to be apart of this.
(Tyler's POV)
After I had showed Brooke around my hometown I could tell that she was still pretty tired from all the traveling lately and it was probably overwhelming for her to meet everyone like it had been for me, so we came back to the apartment and I told her to go take a nap.
It hadn't taken long for word to get out that I was back in town and then a number of my friends were hitting me up to hang out. We had a good 5 hours before Brooke and I were going to meet my parents and sisters for dinner so I invited a few of my friends over to hang out for a little while.
The guys and I were just talking when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I looked over and saw Brooke's half awake face, blinking to adjust to the light in the apartment. She was only wearing one of my t shirts, which had become a routine as of late, but she had no idea I had friends over.
"You didn't tell us you had a girl over already Segs, you haven't even been home a whole day yet," Adam whispered and laughed.
"Sh," I said, smacking his arm. "Morning sleepy head," I laughed and saw Brooke's horrified look when she realized that I wasn't alone down here. She grabbed the bottom of the shirt and tried to push it down further. "Hey don't stretch my shirt," I smirked at her and laughed when she rolled her eyes at me.
"Your precious shirt will be fine," She said.
"You didn't sleep very long," I noted, looking at the clock and seeing it hadn't even been an hour yet.
"I know but I got thirsty so I thought I'd come grab a water... Sorry I didn't realize you had company or I would of put on pants," She said, her face turning red before she finished coming down the stairs and walked quickly to the kitchen.
"Who. Was that?" Christopher asked, raising one eyebrow at me.
"A friend from back home," I answered.
"She's cute," Adam commented.
"And half naked dude what the-"
"Alright well. Don't let me interrupt you guys I'm going to go back to sleep, or try to at least," She said and walked up the stairs backwards half way before turning around and running up the rest of the way.
I smiled and shook my head "Sleep well!" I called after her.
I looked over to Adam and Christopher who were staring at me with their eyebrows raised at me.
"What?"
"Nothing nothing," Adam said.
"It's not nothing, who was that?" Christopher asked.
"I told you, a friend from back home in Dallas. Her name is Brooke."
"I think he means why is she here?" Adam continued.
"And only wearing your shirt? You sure its just a friend dude?" Christopher said, raising his eyebrows again at me.
"Yes," I answered.
"Okay now even I know when you are lying," Adam said.
"Would you two just-" I sighed. "Look. You guys have known me for years okay? Since we were little. You know how I am. I'm not good with long term relationships. They scare me."
"Yeah, and you being in the world that you are its easy to find someone for a night or two and move on," Christopher said.
"Right.. That's getting boring though if I'm going to be honest. That's not the point," I said shaking my head and getting back on track. "The point is.." I looked up the stairs where I knew she was. I was really hoping she wasn't listening. "The point is," I continued but more at a whisper, looking back to the two of them. "I like her. A lot. We are super close, best friends, I mean she lives at my house back home. All my teammates tell me I'm crazy to not go for it this time because shes a real and down to earth girl who I know isn't using me for my money or 'fame.'"
"That's good!" Adam smiled.
I nodded "I'm just scared I'll lose her forever if something happened."
"You could lose her if you don't make something happen," Christopher commented, actually being helpful with his advice for once.
"Jamie said the same thing," I sighed and sat back against the couch.
"Well shes obviously not going anywhere while you guys are here. Think about it," Adam said.
"So how did this whole thing happen anyways?" Christopher asked.
I smiled and laughed a bit remembering the day that Brooke and I had met. I went on to tell them about that whole situation and how we had gotten to where we are right now. Not long after finishing the story they left for the night and planned to meetup again before we went back to Dallas. It didn't take long for Brooke to come back downstairs once they had left.
"I'm so sorry," she said, sitting next to me on the couch, she had put leggings on now but still was wearing my shirt.
"It's okay," I smiled "You didn't know."
"I'm sure that was a whole awkward conversation after I left," Brooke laughed and rested her head on the back of the couch.
"Nah it was fine. How was your nap?" I asked, changing the subject.
"It was good actually, I feel better now."
"Good. Reservations for dinner are for 7:30 so we have," I looked over to the clock on the cable box "A little less than two hours."
"Well I guess I should start getting ready then," Brooke smiled and stood up, walking back up the stairs to get changed.
(Brooke's POV)
Dinner was going great, everyone was having a great time catching up with one another and they were even asking me questions, how I liked Dallas and if living with Tyler was like having to babysit still or not, which made me laugh but Tyler didn't look too impressed.
I picked my fork up, about to take a bite of my salad, when Jackie spoke.
"So whats going on between the two of you?"
I froze, the fork halfway to my mouth which was still wide open. I slowly looked up at Jackie and blinked, closing my mouth slowly and putting the fork back down on my plate. I was all of a sudden a lot less hungry than I was 5 minutes ago.
"Jeez mom don't scare them," Candace laughed.
"Yeah you just shocked them with that question," Cassidy commented, noticing that both of our faces were like deer in headlights.
"What? I'm curious. Tyler isn't one to just have a random girl living at his house."
"Jackie," Paul said, giving her a look.
"What?" She asked, taking a sip of her wine before turning her attention back to the two of us.
I looked over when Tyler cleared his throat. His face was turning red, though I'm sure mine matched. "Mom I have told you about this whole situation before, how we met and everything."
"I know but-"
"Mom," Candace glared at Jackie.
"Alright alright," Jackie said dropping the subject.
I jumped a bit when I felt Tyler gently squeeze my thigh. I looked over and he gave me an apologetic smile and I smiled back, silently letting him know that it was okay.
The rest of the dinner was less eventful and filled with small talk. The awkwardness slowly faded away and we all finished our food. As the group of us walked out of the restaurant we noticed there was a frozen yogurt place in the same parking lot so we decided to go over there to get dessert. Cassidy and Candace led me towards the building, leading everyone else. I noticed that Tyler and his mom were kind of staying behind but I didn't want to think too much about it or I would just start worrying all over again.
(Tyler's POV)
"Tyler wait just a second."
"Whats up mom?" I asked, standing outside the doors of the frozen yogurt place with her while the rest of the family headed inside.
"I'm sorry if I made dinner awkward sweetheart I was honestly just curious."
"I know," I didn't really know what to say to her about all of this.
"Well? Is there something going on between you two?"
I looked through the big window that covered the whole front of the store, seeing Brooke smile and laugh with my sisters. I took a deep breath and sighed before looking back over to my mom. "Um.."
"Listen sweetie. I haven't ever seen you look at another girl like that before."
I looked at her questioningly.
"Come on Tyler I know that look. Honestly you remind me a lot of your dad when you look at her because its the same way he looks at me.."
I looked down at the ground and smiled a bit, trying to hide that my face was a little red.
"I already know what the answer is to my question, I just wasn't sure if you did or not."
I nodded "Yeah I know the answer too. I'm just scared," I said softly, looking up at my mom.
"Scared of what? Shes a very sweet girl, not like some of the other-"
"I know. That's why I'm scared. She means a lot to me and I don't want to fuck it up."
"Tyler," She said, using that famous mom voice that moms like to use when you say something you shouldn't of.
"Sorry."
"I think that when you were younger you were right to say that you weren't ready for that yet, but I can see that you are now. You are the only one that is holding you back in this situation. She isn't here for your money, or because you’re a hockey player. I can tell that she sees you for you, Ty."
I nodded "I know she does. She hates when I spend money on her," I laughed.
"See! Honestly I think you two would be great together. I see how she looks at you too Tyler, and I know what that look means. She likes you Tyler, you shouldn't be scared to ask her because I think that you will find shes feeling the same way that you are in this situation. Seriously, you should give it a shot, you will regret it if you don't. Shes a very sweet girl and I want you happy, which clearly she makes you," She smiled up at me and gave me a hug.
"Thanks mom," I smiled and hugged her back.
"Anytime."
(Brooke's POV):
Tyler and I had just gotten back from dinner and dessert with his family. We were relaxing on the couch and I had thought about asking him if his mom had said something about me, but I figured if it was something he wanted to talk about he would of told me by now, so I decided not to bring it up until he did.
We were planning on watching two movies before heading to bed but I could see that Tyler was too distracted to really focus on the first movie. I figured he was just tired so I decided to go take a shower and get ready for bed.
I walked into the bathroom that was off of his bedroom and closed the door behind me. I walked over to the shower, turning the knob and allowed for it to warm up for a minute while I got undressed. I checked the temperature and then stepped into the shower, enjoying the warmth of the water hitting my skin.
(Tyler’s POV):
I paced back and forth in my room as I listened to the water of the shower running. I took a deep breath and reached for the door knob of the bathroom before pulling my hand back.
"Come on Tyler, everyone else thinks this is a good idea, and so do you. Stop being scared you will lose her, its not gonna happen," I tried giving myself a pep talk.
I reached for the door knob again, this time turning it and trying to open the door as quietly as I could. I smiled, hearing her hum one of her favorite songs while she was in the shower. I had really fallen for this girl, a lot harder than I thought I had until that very moment. It truly hit me how important she was to me and how I wanted nothing to stand in the way of her being in my life for ever. I couldn't stand the thought of her being with anyone else, and honestly I couldn't even think of being with anyone else but her anymore.
I couldn't wait any longer I had to ask her. I know it's probably silly to not wait until she was done with her shower but I felt like I had to do this now. I pulled off my shirt and put it in the pile of clothes that were already on the floor from when Brooke had gotten undressed a few minutes earlier. I pushed my pants and boxers off and added them to the pile before walking over to the shower and grabbing the door and slowly opening it.
(Brooke's POV):
I was in the middle of washing my hair when I thought I had heard Tyler open the bathroom door. Usually if he had to come into the bathroom while I was taking a shower he would announce himself so I figured I must of just been hearing things and continued to rinse out my hair. I was just about to grab my conditioner from the shelf when I heard the shower door open behind me.
I gasped and turned my head to see Tyler step in behind me, noticing that he had no shirt on but I didn't dare look down any further.
"Tyler! What are you doing?!" I exclaimed as I tried to cover myself the best that I could.
He moved closer to me, wrapping his arms around me from behind and pressed his lips to my skin right below my ear.
"I've been thinking a lot lately. I like you a lot and I don't want anyone to ever have the chance to take you from me. I can't imagine seeing you with someone else, and I could never be with another girl after knowing you," I had heard everything Tyler had said but I was in shock.
I turned around, not worrying about covering myself anymore, not even really thinking about much other than what he had just said. "You.. you what?"
"I want to be with you," Tyler smiled down at me.
I smiled back "You couldn't of waited to ask me until after I was out of the shower?" I laughed.
"No I had to do it right now," He smiled and leaned down, pressing his lips to mine.
I had wanted to kiss him so many times in the past that it just didn't seem real that this was happening to me now, especially here in the shower. He pulled back from the kiss and smiled again at me.
"So I'll take that as a yes?"
"Well yeah!" I laughed and pulled him back down for another kiss.
"Good," he mumbled against my lips as he finally closed the shower door behind him.
