As much as I want to 'fix' Aventurine so he won't have to suffer, I'd be doing his character zero justice.

Aventurine is someone strong, he's capable of pulling himself up all on his own, even from the worst lows imaginable. He's not an uwu baby boy who needs you to save him and do everything for him.

Aventurine just needs someone to stay by him, be there as his support, his shoulder to lean on, a guarantee in a sea of chances he can fall back on, someone he can really trust. The rest of it? He's got it all under control.

Aventurine doesn't need you to fix him, he needs you to be there for him as he fixes himself.

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

One of the funniest things about the Kelvin alternate timeline is the fact that Jonathan Archer is a) still alive, b) still in Starfleet, and c) seems to have taken up breeding beagles whilst teaching courses at the Academy and Scotty lost his best one in a transporter accident.

One of the movie writers even confirmed that this is meant to be that Jonathan Archer, same as the Prime timeline, but this motherfucker is like 146 years old and still turning up to teach these young hooligans that space is dangerous and aliens can be unreasonably mean.

I'm headcanoning that in both timelines the usual lifespan for Humans and Andorians is about 120 years but Archer and Shran are beating the odds by fondly arguing every day with neither wanting to die before getting the last word in. A strategy Bones would later employ. (No, seriously, Bones in the Prime timeline got to 137+. Via spite, I think.)
