I did a lot of thinking about this, and it revolves around Pustula/Blighted Cosmetics. The Blighted Cosmetics are canonically the result of the Blight experimenting on his fellow killers, turning them into (even more) twisted monsters.

Trapper has a Blighted Cosmetic. It's free real estate. So now, with backstory out of the way, the actual headcanons

The Entity doesn't like blight. It's an irritant and can spread and become like an infection, which is why it recruits its survivors and killers into hunting down and eliminating the pustula blooms in trials. This extends to cleansing its killers of blight!

Sometimes it goes too far. Sometimes, it puts a toy back in the wrong place-- the campfire instead of a realm, and the world unconsciously adapts around it.

Enter Eric McKenzie. It's a shit cover name, but in his defense he had like two minutes to come up with it? Also, the survivors seem to buy it hook, line, and sinker, so he doesn't think about it too hard anyway.

He bonds surprisingly quickly with the altruistic survivors; normally, he's the bane of their existence. But now, he's the one taking protection hits and shielding them from the killer... he's not sure what to think about it.

He "escorts" survivors through the Fog when they go to forage, with the excuse that he's a big, physically imposing man and if they run into trouble he's a more immediate target. In reality, he wants to keep tabs on everybody.

Jake figures it out almost immediately. Quentin figures it out within 30 minutes of talking to him. Meg figures it out after a few trials. They all individually think they're keeping a secret (except Jake, who just doesn't give a shit). Evan thinks nobody's figured him out yet.

When the Entity notices its mistake and pulls him back to the right side, restoring him to... the hooked monster he usually looks like, it's hard for the survivors who grew close to him to readjust. Evan doesn't. He readjusts just fine.

Ce samedi soir à Interlaken, le CP Fleurier a fait face à une rencontre cruciale contre le SC Unterseen-Interlaken dans le cadre du tour de relégation. Malgré une entame prometteuse et le soutien fervent de leurs supporters, les Vallonniers ont finalement été défaits 6-3, scellant leur sort en vue de la prochaine saison. Le début du match a été particulièrement encourageant pour le CP Fleurier, qui a rapidement pris l'avantage grâce à un tir réussi de Loïc Pecaut à la 3ème minute de jeu. Le deuxième tiers-temps a vu Kevin Fleuty doubler l'avantage du CP Fleurier à la 27ème minute, portant le score à 2-0 en faveur des visiteurs. Malgré un but encaissé à la 30ème minute par les locaux, l'équipe de Fleurier a conservé une position dominante en rentrant aux vestiaires, avec la ferme intention de maintenir cette dynamique positive. Cependant, le troisième tiers-temps a pris une tournure inattendue. Yeah, while Satyrs do come off as more mischievous and sadistic than Fauns, it’s not to the point to where I think it’d match yandere Quentin. Yandere Quentin’s always come off as a yandere that’s literally ALL types(excluding sadistic, I can never see him harming his darling.) so like, y’know, possessive, protective, obsessive, delusional, stalker, manipulative, ‘lust-driven’(basically the type that always wants to be intimate with their darling, usually to show their ways of ‘affection’), and so on and so forth.(there are way too many yandere types to count.)

But not only that, I see him coming off as extremely intimidating to others. Like I know most of the time, people usually brush him off, and don’t think too much of him. But in reality, Quentin is secretly plotting on how to torture them brutially, just because they looked your way. Not to mention, Quentin’s pretty tall. And I’m only 5’3’’ dude. His height alone would easily scare me into submission. Also, he’s got like, average build as well. So he’s a pretty strong guy nonetheless. I mean c’mon man. He’s a swimmer. What else could you expect?

Which is why I went with the Wyvern approach.

Since Wyverns are often forgotten about pretty easily, people usually underestimate them a lot just because they aren’t as ‘big and strong’ as normal dragons. Which is very stupid, because Wyverns are extremely dangerous types of dragons, hell, some Wyverns could probably even overpower a normal dragon if they’re strong enough.That’s why I decided to use a Wyvern for Quentin.

Jake, I can definitely see him as the god of independence, defiance, rebellion, hard work, and an Iron Will. Now I’m basing this solely on their personalities and the background for the character. For Jake, honestly he’d probably have more teenage followers than anything, or just people going through a hard time in their life. He brings comfort to people who are going through some rough stuff, especially with family. As for offerings, you could either bring him your most recent hunt, and offer him the skin of the animal, but only if you seek help specifically, or need a blessing. As for just plain comfort and safety, you can just pray and he’ll gladly give you what you seek. He doesn’t demand much honestly.

However he is a little harsh on people who force things onto others, he doesn’t like it when a mortal takes things for granted, especially.

The best times to go and pray at Jakes temple would be around noon. Not too early or too late, that’s when Jake answers the most

Quentin, I see as a god of perseverance, power, mischief, comfort, and protection. He’s the reason you feel safe, he’s what brings you good dreams at night, he’s that thrill you feel when you go out and do something that makes you feel happy and excited, he’s what protects you from all of the bad things in life. Quentin wants his followers to be happy, he always gives the mortals a fighting chance. Quentin’s followers could range from any age, if anyone’s in a bad situation, Quentin will do his best to help them, and bless them. Quentin usually takes food offerings, or just prayers. He’s not real picky when it comes to offerings and such, he just wants to help in anyway he can.

Quentin is a little harsh on those who inflict pain upon others, whether that be verbal or physical, he’d still damn them. He doesn’t like people who use others for their own selfish benefit.

The best times to go to Quentin’s temple would be at night, that’s when he mostly answers his followers prayers, it’s when his temple feels more alive.

Grumpy Old Trio

Hc time. Once again about my favorite ship, Grumpy Old Men & the friendship had between the trio, Quentin, Hershell, and Hj Canterbury 

Quentin/Hershell are in a closed established relationship together but have a queerplatonic one with Canterbury 

^ Some pride Hcs; Quentin, Gay, Hershell, Bi, and lastly, Canterbury is both Trans and Demiromantic Asexual

The trio ever since grew close as best friends during their recruitment period and are known for their cuddle piles. Once only used to stay warm but now do it for personal comfort 

^ Often Quentin is begrudgingly brought into the middle of the pile and is squished between the two, mostly Hersh 

^ It didn't come easy for them back then, as younger men and it took a lot of coaxing to get to a place of ease. For Hershell to get over the toxic masculinity, Quentin for his trust issues, and then Canterbury was very touch averse 

^ Hershell sleeps like a rock, who's unable to wake up for anything and he snores really loudly similar to a lawn mower. Whereas Quentin has struggled to fall asleep; suffers from awful insomnia 

^ Canterbury seems to be in the middle, unaffected, leaning towards being a nightowl. Usually he reads books, ie. His favorites are ones filled with cheesy romance to help settle down the mind. Also, he enjoys being able to sleep on the bed's edge that's near the door. 

Another Hc about Quentin is that when making his bed, needs to make sure it's perfect and the other two joke that he's like a bird who's building a nest. Ie. Crafted with pillows, blankets and stolen stuff primarily from Hershell, some from Canterbury 

Out of the three, Hershell is the most affectionate and needs to be in contact of either man just so he knows they're there with him 

^ Quentin is only ever cuddly when he's absolutely drained, exhausted to the bone. Also, he prefers to be coddled up with all the thick, heavy blankets. 

Canterbury commonly wears either simple one-color, older, ankle length nightgowns and or often silky soft, and flower patterned sleepwear.
