I can see him being a wolf hybrid too, playful and hyper, extremely happy to see you to the point the tail wagging knocks something over and he gets embarrassed. Won't admit its his fault, says you should know better by now to have anything around him at all if you dont want it knocked over!

I love when people look at different aspects of my art and go "That was yours?!" Or like, people have followed me for my writing and then see a comic and are like "That's you too?!"

last night i had a dream about a new game changer episode that i was absolutely convinced was real until i asked @futureempressoftheuniverse if there was a new episode out and she informed me there wasn't, but: in my dream the new game changer episode was another one of those "how much would you do x for" games. it had brennan and two other contestants, and the prompt he received was "to NOT reblog this post on tumblr" but the post in question was being written by a fellow contestant so it was tailored to be the kind of anti-capitalist rhetoric brennan would have fucking loooved and i was just watching him grapple with the impossible dilemma of "do i earn money but lose an opportunity to dunk on capitalism online" and the drama was very real. it is worth noting i have no idea if brennan is even on tumblr. anyway i should write for game changer

THAT'S HOW YOU SOUND. now go forth and do the hard work of sympathizing with characters you don't like because as much as there are people who relate to peter there are also people who relate to jason and i want you to know that i use jason as a litmus test of how you treat and/or think of actual "imperfect" gays and victims. yes, jason hater! you, TOO, can participate in the homophobia and pressure which killed jason mcconnell! now be beautiful and true and find it in you to take something else away from this play. you can do it i believe in you. you can be kind and give that boy some fucking grace. you don't have to love him you can still hate him just have some nuance. please.

There's also the added bonus that Edelgard pays lip service to not LIKING the tragedy, but saying and doing NOTHING that is Even like "oh wow. Look at this random piece of supersticial evidence exonerating Duscur that I just happened to find". Or even just going like "I don't think it's right to commit a genocide for something a few people did."

And, y'know, the retailiatory Genocide of the Duscur People is STILL ONGOING.

So if you take the stance that the "Tragedy of Duscur" is both the event and the subsequent consequences, then she is absolutely at least partially at fault.

I think the question of whether Edelgard's refusal to do anything about the situation makes her responsible is something of a thorny one; I don't remember offhand if she actually had any evidence that the Duscur people were innocent, it's been several years since I last played Three Houses. Definitely she's not responsible for the initial event, seeing as she was a child. But she benefited from it, is continuing to benefit from it, is happy to benefit from it, and has no interest in doing anything to rectify this thing that was done for her benefit. She's not to blame, but it's still morally fucked that she's so happy to take advantage of both the initial event and the horrific aftermath and a little bit of lip service does nothing to change that. But then again "I don't like [insert horrible thing here]" followed by cheerily benefiting from it with no real intent of Actually Doing Anything About It until the thing being ongoing stops being convenient for her is basically Edelgard's default MO; never going to be over the way she goes on and on and on about how she's definitely going to do something about Those Who Slither only for the defeat of Those Who Slither to only ever come up in certain paired endings in her route (with no evidence that she even knew about the letter Hubert prepped as a precaution in Silver Snow and Verdant Wind), meaning unless you pair specific units there's no actual mention of her ever doing anything about them despite "I'm going to do something about them" being one of her primary arguments for why it's okay for her to work with the people actually responsible for her tragic backstory and facilitate their atrocities.
