It's 2am and I've got the ambition of a creature who thinks Summer lasts a year bUT-

Would anyone be interested if I made a lil original/kinda fic writing blog? I've got some tidbits from school I still love, and I'm wanting to get back into creative writing again before school consumes all my art time (so hyped to go but also panicked cause I gotta get housing and I Have Never Left Home 💀)

Mainly thinking about bits about OCs (LOTR or Dragon Age probably, because of the new show/game out soon) but also I'm a lil obsessed w Fae and the Ljósalfar, and also a v sad lil romantic starved of decent content and wanna try my hand at making some stuff, even if they're short or just world-build-y?

While ik it likely isn't a super popular concept, since writing blogs don't get much attention and I'm usually an artist, but it'd be nice to show off whatever I manage to make to anyone interested!!

okay okay but! in happy news: I found a surprisingly affordable bed and breakfast and hatched a plan to go to fell and fair’s hobbit party in september! I think it’s really happening!

#before I was like I think this is basically impossible unless I can fall upon the charity of someone in the area for 2 nights #now I found a great and beautiful and cheap and safe place to stay and I’m doing it guys!#there is definitely some magic to having a full-time job #much as I miss having summers

i know i need to shut up abt it esp bc i don’t know for sure if i actually got exposed to covid but like. it’s just so fucking frustrating and terrifying. not just in the case of covid but with other things too like driving. you can take every precaution to keep yourself and the people around you safe but all it takes is one selfish careless asshole who can negate that in a heartbeat and ruin your life or maybe even end it in some circumstances. lol

i have shingles! amazing! i was trying not to complain about my pain because i dunno i’m a woman i guess but then i got a rash on my belly and i was kind of hoping i had just touched something weird or maybe the dog transferred poison ivy from their fur to my bed to my belly (this sounds stupid now that i say it) but i went to urgent care by the end of the week and the doctor diagnosed it immediately, like i was still in the process of lifting my shirt when she said “that’s shingles.” so now here i am and i’ll tell you about the full body aches i’ve had for the past two weeks, the stinging pain and itchiness on my belly, the blisters that fill up to tiny balloons and then crater into bruises, the general skin sensitivity that makes me constantly aware of this stupid meatsack that...i am. there are probably other symptoms too, that i’m trying to brush off or toughen myself up against, but i’m too tired to look up my google search history to recap. my pain doesn’t matter unless someone else can identify the cause of it.

anyway, i got the chicken pox when i was a wee one, right before the vaccine came out, so shingles makes sense. i wish i had known more about it though, to diagnose myself better and faster. it was always this thing that old people get a vaccine for, but now i know you can get it when you’re younger, especially if you have a weakened immune system. i’m on an anti-viral medication now, so when my rash clears up i’ll go to my doctor and see if i can get the vaccine.

one thing that sucks though, besides the physical pain, is that this is just contributing to my covid paranoia. i was pretty convinced before that if i contracted covid, i would not survive, and here i am getting felled by a little herpes virus twenty years earlier than usual. what a wimp, what a weakling i am. i just know covid would knock me out the way a child flicks away a booger.

#can you believe i was thinking over the summer that i could actually get on a plane and visit oslo #i still can't eat food in a restaurant!#and it made me sad watching the restaurant i drive by demolish the outdoor patio they'd built after lockdown #what a fool i was to think i would be able to get on an 8-hour flight #and on top of that have a vacation where i couldn't spend time indoors to eat or drink #i still call it a paranoia because i know there are better risk calculations to take #i'm just sticking to a boundary that i built during lockdown because it makes me feel safe #regardless of the actual danger #and i don't get as angry anymore just watching other people live their lives unmasked #but i won't break that rule for myself #oh but i will judge people who get covid if i don't approve of the activity they were participating in!#or if they're men #i still attach a morality to it that 99% of the people in our stupid capitalist system don't deserve #but you know me i will go to great lengths to justify my own position #justify my own fears

I finally joined the LGBTQ+ volleyball league in my area and went to my first session today

I sprained a wrist, mildly twisted a knee, and bruised that same knee so bad that I can see the swelling but I had so much FUN

#i looked insane on the train home #grass stuck in my ankle brace and green dirty knees and crazy hair #it was so much fun though snd they were so nice #they cheered for me every time i got the ball over or had a good pass #they did for everyone but they were especially vocal towards me bc i was the worst player lol #im under 5 ft tall and havent played in years and was never very good to start with #my goal is to improve as much as possible during the summer outdoor session so that i make a decent showing in the fall for indoor #when they switch to indoors its more serious and you need to go to a session to get a rating #i registered myself as a defensive specialist so ill focus on passing and setting #i really fucked my wrist but hopefully its mild enough to be okay with a soft brace in a few days #they were really so nice to me and made it a great experience #it was 9 gay men and me and one other girl my age #im so glad we have queer leagues for sports here bc even though its mostly men i feel safe #theres also a queer soccer league and softball league so i might join one of those too #benefits of living near a big city #anyways #im still riding high on the endorphins of Team Sport Time and finally getting to play a game i adore and needed to tell it to the void #i wish more places had a lot of adult rec league choices outside of denser cities bc its such a good thing for morale #the place i lived before had almost nothing and it was so depressing #there was a decent community theatre scene but not a lot of options for adult rec outside of that #im so spoiled here #i really should join the softball league since i have all my gear from high school just gathering dust in storage...#maybe the softball league will have more queer women and can make friends #personal #tag journal #one of the men played in college and he coached me and gave me so much advice and i appreciated that so much #he gave me tips after every attempt and i improved!!#he told me that i was looking at the ball and then glancing away just before i touched it which i never noticed #and once i fixed that it made such a difference!

You tell him you broke up with your boyfriend while he’s away for work, bunked up in a safe house in the middle of nowhere with shit reception, hearing your words as clear as day as if they weren’t the chopped-up version coming through his burner phone.

“It just…didn’t work out.”

It didn’t work out.

He pretends his stomach doesn’t pleasantly twist because he’d expected it to happen eventually. He’s not happy about it—although it does make the desert heat more bearable in his heavy tactical gear—and tells Soap to fuck off when he comments on it.

It was a one-time fuck because Simon doesn’t date. He’s tried in the past before he met you—the flowers, the late-night dinners—but with him being gone almost every other month (sometimes longer, shorter if he’s lucky), it never works out in the end. Sleeping with you twice would fall under that category, the quasi-relationship kind, and make everything messier than it needs to be.

Just some fun, no strings, those are the words he promised.

If only he believed them.

He does, for all of two weeks until he’s home again, and it’s summer, so you’re wearing a flowy dress that shows off the long expanse of your legs.

That one time he’d promised turns into a second, both of you stumbling into your apartment after a night out. Simon finds himself asking if he can come over more often throughout the week, which slowly moulds and shifts into nights filled with things other than sex—sleeping after a long day of work, cuddling on the couch, cooking together, going to the movies—he doesn’t try to make a big deal out of it because you used to hang out all the time without sex.

There’s still no label to whatever this is, and he wonders if you want him to be the first to say the thing you’ve both been dancing around for a little over…he can’t remember, but he knows it’s been long enough for your things to mix in with his at his house.

It was like it was all in slow motion. As you turned around to walk away, you watched as your friends faces widened staring behind you. You couldn't react fast enough. You felt your ponytail being dragged back as your body harshly recoiled against the pressure.

You turned, locking eyes with Skylar a smirk upon her face as she tugged at your ponytail, lifting her fist to sock a direct punch in your face, splitting your lip.

After that you reached up, grabbing her hair as you yanked at it, swiping at her legs as she dropped on the floor below you, screaming. The corridor was suddenly not so peaceful as both you and Skylar hurled abuse at one another while Pansy, Daphne and Astoria were trying to yank you both apart along with Skylars friends.

You climbed ontop of the girl, stabilising yourself as you socked a punch into her face as she clawed at yours.

"YOU BITCH!" she screamed as she yanked your hair again.

"OW-" you lifted your leg planting your good right in her face as you swung your arm round once more punching her before you heard tons of footsteps yelling and scrambling towards the both of you. You watched as her tooth cracked and slid across the floor as she spat blood up in your face.

"BEAT HER ASS Y/N!" Pansy yelled from behind. Daphne scolding her as the three continued to try and pull you girls apart without falling in the firing line.

Both of you were clawing at one another. You were landing way more than her let's say. Her face was full of blood as you dug your acrylics into her cheek.

You felt yourself harshly being yanked off the girl as you scrambled towards her but being held back. "LET ME AT HER! WHORE!" You screamed.

"MY FACE! YOU.. YOU.. SLUT!" Skylar screamed at she ran off down the hall with her friends.

You felt hands on your face as you turned to be face to face with Theo. You watched as he analysed every aspect of your face, checking if you're ok.

"Teddy- I'm so-"

"Shhh" He placed his finger upon your lip as he took your hand into the bathroom leaving all the rest of your friends stunned at the scene from before.

He sat you upon the sink as he took off his shirt, dampening it before wiping all the blood from your face.

Theo chuckled at the thought of cleaning up after you having a fight. "Look at my girl, getting into fights like her boyfriend" He smirked as he pecked your lips softly.

"I can't help it- she's so obsessed with you Teddy. It's annoying" you scoffed. "Are you sure you didn't fuck her"

"Bella, I told you. You were my first and you'll ne my last" He caressed your face softly.

You smiled at his words as he finished wiping your face up and smiled.

"You did good, only a cut lip. Atta girl" He squeezed your thighs softly as he leaned forward, kissing your nose.

"Learned from the best" You smiled.

"Amore mio.. I love you" He snickered before capturing your lips in his. Softly kissing eachother as his hands held your waist softly. You wrapped your arms around his neck as you locked your legs around his waist pulling him in closer.

He pulled away, softly sucking on your bottom lip before pulling away and licking his lips before wiping yours with his thumb.

"My little vampire" You cooed as you ruffled his hair chuckling.

"In future if you get in fights let me be there. You looked so hot, but ill always step in after a while. Can't let you actually get beat up" He smiled.

You hit his chest shaking your head as he pressed a soft kiss on your forehead.
