Also a lil more elaboration on this post from the OG guy in the system who talks this shit but it's also important to know when adopting radical self acceptance is that being a fucking idiot and a coward and crap literally has no inherent "oh Im a good or bad or cool or lame" person on it's own
Literally everyone is stupid in their own way and literally everyone has the things they are scared to deal with and face from time to time. I'm a part very dissociated from the concept of fear and my brain converts it fast to other shit, but I do fear letting myself down - both as a part and as a part ofba system - and doing harm by the few I deeply respect; momentarily I am prone to being scared of having my shit taken - trauma crap
That shits literally normal, being scared of shit is literally a completely normal and natural thing across almost all animal species (some argue all). There is no personal judgement attached to literally any feeling on its own.
The difference is whether you can look at that feeling and say "damn I'm scared and that a sucks ass feeling" and actually accept, address and deal with that feeling - or if you are going to deny-deny-deny.
And that isn't to say "Oh you are a stupid coward for wanting to deny it" because again, it is OK to admit you are scared and not ready to deal with something. That takes huge fucking balls to admit. If you aren't ready to deal with it, cool man that's fine, but do take a moment to actually affirm that with yourself - that CURRENTLY in the moment you are not ready to deal with it.
That is not "running away from it like a coward" that is acknowledging the truth of your current state and leaving space for it.
If you can get comfortable admitting that you are too scared to do something right now, you are inherently - in subtext - letting yourself know that 1) you accept that you are scared and it is a real thing about you that you are willing to embrace but also 2) that as much as that is a truth of your current state, that it is just that - a current state.
There literally is no shame or inherent judgement to be found in a feeling alone. Feelings alone don't mean shit. Feelings alone LITERALLY don't mean SHIT. It's how you handle and act in regards to them both internallyvwith yourself and externally with others that determines if you are being cringe (derogatory) or cringe (affectionate) and sorry not sorry, every action you do there will be someone who thinks you are cringe so theres no escaping being cringe WHILE being your authentic self.
Anyways, building radical self acceptance is a hard thing to do so I got mad respects for anyone building it. Most of the system doesn't get it yet either and so I get how hard it is and all.
I actively basically bully and harrass Riku about it 24/7 7 days a week 52 weeks a year for the past 3 years until they get it into their dumb skull. And while I call them a fuckin dumbass, I am pretty proud of how casually and readily they have learned to admit when they are being "a coward" which is easier verbage for them than outright saying "scared" which I'll take.
But honestly, get in touch with your vulnerable "not cool" parts of yourself that you are embarrassed about and just get used to stating it as it is. Those vulnerable and embarrassing aspects are only as embarrassing and insecure as you let them be. If you hide them and try to keep people from seeing it, of course you are going to feel scared to let others see it, of course you are going to feel insecure, and of course you aren't going to be confident when anything relating that comes up out of fear of your insecurity showing.
It's self assassination honestly. Judging your emotions and internal experiences like they mean anything other than a reflection of your current self and what you need us just not productive.
But I digress. Its a complicated and difficult thing to build and work on and itll always be more nuanced and specific to the individual than I can ever chart out in a casual ramble on some of my life philosophies and principles on shit.
So take home message? Try to stop judging your feelings and just, ya know, have them. They may suck but its just how it is in the moment and the moment can always change.

u gave me a reason to go back and review some of what i already wrote for this novel which comes in really handy the day before camp nano starts SOO thank you so much ily <3 i dont have my guitar with me rn so i cant do the cover just yet, im sorry, BUT i can do this:
here’s a lil snippet of my work in progress “Swing By The Lake”. I’m really proud of how this scene turned out even though i put off writing it for the longest time because i hate writing sex scenes. it’s not an actual sex scene, but it pretty clearly leads to that. kindda weird that this is the first thing that you’re gonna read from me because i NEVER write sex scenes but whatever it’s actually pretty significant to the plot because it’s the start of Charlie realizing how much she actually cares for Agustina which is just... *sigh* perfect
things u should probably know before this: charlie is a 17 y/o girl who’s vacationing in this beach town where she met Agustina, a 21 y/o photographer from Argentina who is also on a trip in this beach town. they’ve been hanging out at the cliff of the hill that separates each other’s houses for most of the summer, both at sunrise and sunset because that’s just what people do in the argentine provinces and its also romantic af. it also kindda fits the feeling of your writing prompt so its a win win! i hope you enjoy this :)

Charlie opened her eyes after what felt like a few seconds. The room was still dark, but she was restless. Looking out the window, the moon shined full and bright over the still ocean. In a split second decision, she grabbed a sweater before heading down to the beach.
With her shoes on her hand, she walked along the shore. The water ran up to her calf sometimes, a bit too cold when mixed with the fog that filled her lungs. Charlie wondered whether it was too late or too early to be out by herself, but there was no better hour to sort things out in one’s mind.
If it was truly Noemi who had seen Charlie and Agustina together at the beach, why hadn’t she come to tell her parents already? Was she really going to keep the secret for Charlie without her even asking? It was hard to believe. Noemi must be up to something, waiting for the right time and way to say it. Or to gather evidence. But, why? Was there really a chance for Charlie to deny her accusations and get away with it?
As all the possible—and impossible—scenarios came to her, Charlie collected pebbles from the shore, her long nightgown served as a great bag to store them momentarily. She came to realize that it was near impossible to be anxious or fearful in such a calm atmosphere. Alone in the beach, under the stars and surrounded by mist, touching the water while collecting stones. Silence only being interrupted by the ocean against her freezing legs. It was as if God tried to comfort her with nature.
As she kept walking, there were more and more stones underneath her feet. So much so, that by the time she came to the end of East-Watch beach, it hurt to walk barefoot. Charlie got away from shore and sat on a stone at the bottom of the hill. The same one where she’d had breakfast with Agustina almost 24 hours prior. She put on her sandals and made a split second decision.
It almost didn’t come as a surprise when she found Agustina sitting on the cliff, just like the time they were both there for the first time. The foreigner couldn’t see her, but she was most certainly aware of her— the stones bounced on one another as she walked. Charlie sucked in a breath and walked slowly closer to Agustina. She wasn’t sure if what she was doing was right, it was a much wiser decision to just leave and never talk to her again. Deny everything Noemi might claim once they were back home and forget that whole summer even happened. It was a wiser and safer choice. Yet there she was, hand over the lady’s shoulder, almost touching.
“Why are you here?” She said without turning around. Her voice was cold, colder than the fog or the ocean. This one froze Charlie inside out.
Silence.
“If you are not going to say anything, you should just leave.”
Charlie breathed in to speak, but her mouth didn't obey. She remembered the last time they were together and how abruptly she'd run away. Agustina had nothing to do with Noemi, she didn’t know how terrifying it was to see her at that beach. And to top it all, Charlie avoided her when she walked, probably the entire way, to The Saltbox Inn just to see her. What was there to say after hurting her in such a way?
"I'm sorry doesn't cover it." She finally spoke, sitting down and leaving the stones just behind Agustina.
She didn't turn, but her breathing was louder. Faltering. Charlie hadn't noticed from afar, but Agustina went there to cry.
"Oh, Agus." She said as she sat down behind her and embraced her into a hug that wasn’t reciprocated. "I'm so sorry."
"Why are you here?" Agustina's voice was weak, it broke Charlie to hear such a light-hearted lady like Agustina be in such pain. And it was because of her.
"I couldn't sleep."
"Why?"
Charlie took in a deep breath.
"The other day, I thought someone from my town was there and saw us." Charlie said, she rested her forehead against Agustina's hair. She meant to go for a kiss on the cheek, but she was turned away.
"So you naturally pushed me and ran off." Agustina scoffed. Charlie was speechless. She hadn't really been thinking at the time. Hell, she barely even remembered what actually happened. "And
then you never came back or called. And then when I walked the entire way to your place… you saw me, and ran away as fast as possible. Again. Of course I'm sorry doesn't cover it."
"But I am sorry, Agus, please tell me what can I do to make it better?" Charlie's own voice cracked a little. She felt awful for hurting the girl beside her, she'd done nothing but given her the best summer she'd had in years.
"Charlie." Agustina sighted and covered her face with her hands, shaking herself away from Charlie's hug.
They were still side by side at the cliff’s end, their legs lightly brushing against one another as they swung with the wind. But to Charlie, not hugging Agustina felt like they were miles apart. She sat back before speaking.
"Come here, please." Charlie begged.
Agustina lightly turned her head, giving Charlie a chance to catch those slightly swollen green eyes. In an attempt to lighten the situation, she grabbed one stone and threw it over the cliff. It bounced off of a stone and then made it to the calm ocean, which brought a hint of a smile to Agustina’s face.
"Please." She offered another stone out to the Latina, who grabbed it and sat back and rested her back on Charlie.
Charlie pulled her closer, just enough so she could hold her with both arms around her waist. The sun must have been rising at that moment, because Agustina's face lit up in all the shades of blue. She threw the stone over the cliff, but Charlie didn’t hear whether or not it reached the ocean. She was too hung up on how Agustina’s lips looked especially soft from the side, glistening with what remained of her tears. Charlie brushed her thumb over the lower lip as softly as possible.
"I'm sorry." She whispered before going for a quick kiss barely on the side of her mouth. "I'm sorry." She repeated and leaned closer, asking for permission.
Agustina slightly turned and that was enough.
Unlike any other kiss they had shared before, this one felt like they were both savoring every second. They were both so depraved of the other that every moment, every move was sacred.
"I'm sorry." Charlie whispered as she moved from Agustina's lips to her jaw, drying the new tears with her own lips.
She kept apologizing in between her approaches. All she wanted was to make Agustina feel better. She did everything she could think off to comfort her. Charlie kept kissing every inch of Agustina’s exposed skin, staring into her eyes before going further— silently asking if it was okay to do so.
Charlie let her body take over without giving much thought to her actions. They were soon enough throwing their clothes aside, condemning everything that dared come in between them. There was nothing Charlie wanted— needed— more than to be closer to Agustina. As close as humanly possible. She needed to take the pain she caused away.
“Charlie.” Agustina sighed when Charlie reached her stomach. She used a tone Charlie had never heard before. It reminded her of the prayers sung at Church, delicate and desperate with a hint of fear. Charlie froze.
“Is this okay?”
Agustina let out an audible sight, caressing Charlie’s cheek with her fingers, softly guiding her to look up. Agustina’s eyes were still a bit red, but they were also a slightly darker shade of green.
“I-” She looked for the right words to speak. “You don’t have to do this.”
“But I want to.” Charlie answered without missing a beat. She smiled shyly at the older girl, looking down as she soon realized what she had just said and what was about to happen. “But… I don’t know how…” She trailed off, resting her forehead on Agustina’s belly.
“It’s okay,” She whispered. “I’ll guide you.”

in terms of her personality and other things:
she’s a very loyal person, v e r y. while like i said ( and will elaborate on in her bio ), her relationship with her brother is Not Great, she hasn’t completely given up on him. maybe for the time being, but her being someone who’s open to the idea of people changing for the better somewhere down the line, leaves a bit of room for her to possibly change her mind if he does enough to allow her to consider it

she does have a slight dependency on others despite her thinking all signs point to the opposite, and even though her and her mom never rly had a good relationship she still reels from the neglect/abandonment some days so handle her with Care if she deems you a close pal

The Black-Eyed Man
I wasn’t alone that night.
Playing the security video of Nov. 23 still haunts me.. well it did.
As I laid in bed next to my wife, loading the security footage on my phone, my heart stopped when I saw it behind me on the screen. I can only describe it as a man.. or close to being a man. I could barely bring myself to study them image on my phone screen. I was so paralyzed with nauseating fear. But there, behind me, was a tall, skeletal, human-like figure, standing at least a foot taller than me. It's boney claw like fingers brushing against the nape of my neck. It’s eyes, it’s jet black eyes locked on me... while my eyes shone bright in the infrared, it’s were dead... unnaturally black. They were the darkest shade I have ever seen, the kind that could swallow any light, standing out even in the dark living room.
Worse than it’s eyes was its smile. It’s menacing and impossibly wide toothy smile. Jagged white fangs locked together like a zipper, grinning ear to ear.
But that’s not the worst part. It was staring at me. Not in the moment, when I was physically in front of the Black-Eyed man, but staring at me through the camera. It knew I would be watching through my phone.
I know what you’re probably thinking: “OP just show us the video!”
There’s nothing more I want in the world than to show you the nightmarish being and it’s sinister smile. But it left. It left the video.
Let me explain: As I paused the video, preparing to take screenshots and show Ridley, the thing moved. This insidious thing moved. It started by cocking it’s head to the side, still staring at me through the camera, as if studying me with curiosity.. or testing me. My body still frozen in time in the video, just as logic and reason says it should. All I could do was watch.
Then it began walking, walking around the frozen living room, never breaking its cold stare and with that impossibly wide toothy grin. My mind raced to comprehend how something could be moving on a paused video.
SHHHSHSHHSHSSHSHHSSSH
With ear shattering white noice, the black eyed man contorted it’s sharp, twisted body and crawled. It crawled so unnaturally on all fours. White noise and the sound of bones cracking filled my ears. The next thing it did caught me by total surprise. It crawled like a cockroach fleeing the light, into the opening of the fire place.
It happened so quickly I was in disbelief.
Then I ran. I ran as fast as I could down stairs and slammed the fireplace doors shut.
I don’t remember ever having them open.
There’s something I should explain about my fireplace. It’s big, very big. So big that the previous owner installed fireproof masonry, and added a large wooden mantle, brick, and smaller brass and glass doors just to make it appear to be a more normal size.
Also, it has an ash dump. For those who are unaware, an ash dump is like a trap door on the floor of the fire box. This was used as an easy cleanup for ash. Instead of sweeping it up, you would just hit the trap door, and the ash would fall into chute built in the walls below the fireplace. Although the dump door still works, the chute door in the basement where one would clean the collected ash, has long been sealed up. When we first moved in, our home inspector informed us that the chute became porous over time, and the holes inside our walls created a fire hazard.
Basically, don't use the ash dump.
Whatever this thing that just ran into the fireplace is...it’s in our walls.
By this point, I noticed Ridley and Honey were behind me. Both looking concerned.
Ridley: "WHAT is going on?
Me: The ... the fireplace.. man.. man in the fireplace
Ridley: "Santa?"
I almost laughed.
After collecting myself, I was able to recount the recent events. Ridley wasn't quite convinced. Leaning to the side of reason, and suggested I had fallen asleep and become the victim of a lucid nightmare.
After 20 or so minutes, they retired to bed.
I needed to investigate.
I decided to shine my flashlight in the fireplace and look for any evidence. First, in the firebox. Nothing. Then, up the chimney. Just typical stains and fire damage.
Finally, the ash dump. As I pressed down on the trap door, it was the smell that hit me first. Rot. Putrid, disgusting, sulphuric-smelling rot.
I shone my beam of light down the 20 foot, hole-ridden chute. That's when I heard it. First, an animal like hiss, then it moved. It moved away from the light.
Startled, I jumped back and slammed the glass doors shut.
That's it. It doesn't like the light. The Blacked-Eyed Man hates the bright LED light. It can handle the fire, but not this.
I set my flashlight down on the table, pointed at the fireplace doors. I am not letting it get out.
I needed to stock up. I grabbed my extra flashlight and batteries and waited in front of the fireplace, staring that the intense beam of light, and slowly fell asleep on the floor. That night I had the most vivid dream. I dreamt I was in my house, only it was new, brand new. There was a tall man there, a tall man with dark eyes, dressed in early 1900s clothing. He kept walking back and forth in the living room, feeding logs into the fire. Back in forth, placing more and more wood into the flames. Thats when I noticed they weren't logs, they were limbs. Human limbs. This man was carelessly burning human flesh in my home, in my fireplace. I yelled to him. And he turned towards me, slowly, cocked his head, and gave me that same toothy smile, staring into my soul with those inky eyes.

I awoke to my phone chiming. It must have recorded me sleeping on the floor. Its freezing, why is the house so cold?
I swipe my phone and load the video.
No... This is impossible! It's Ridley. She's in the living room, and he's next to her. The black eyed man is standing right next to her, hand in hand. Now he's leading her to the fireplace,.
RIDLEY! I yelled at the top of my lungs. RIDLEY!
To my confused relief, she came running down the stairs:
Ridley: "What's wrong?!"
Me: "You're here! What is this video?"
Ridley: "What video?"
I went open my phone and search for the video.
(No Videos Recorded)
What... How?
I keep searching and nothing. What did I just watch, and where is it?
Ridley: "Im going to work, are you okay? Why are you shivering?"
Me: "are you not cold?"
Ridley: "no I feel fine, I'm going to be late, I love you."

Its so cold. Why is is so cold? I have the heat on, hat, coat, boots, everything.
I load the new video.
The video is of me, but I'm turning off the flashlight, and now I'm going around the house and unscrewing all the lightbulbs and smashing them. I look over to the table, luckily my flashlight is still on and pointed at the fireplace, keeping the thing at bay. All of the lightbulbs seem in place.
I am so cold.

Ridley took the dog and they are visiting with relatives.

I joined tumblr like forever ago when it was fresh and new, immediately fell into the hole because I was a big dr.who, supernatural fan... didn’t really decide to actually “run my blog” until recently, because I just feel like it’s a cool platform to like be vulnerable and be myself without worrying about like local bs or anyone texting me or seeing me in public wondering “what was that post about.” Also, like I said, I’ve been here a while kind of just lurking in the shadows of my main acct, so I feel comfortable being myself here. Everyones weird and intellectual, it’s cool.

Satisfied. I just had 2 black bean burgers and some homemade fries so.. can’t complain really.

To RV or renovate a camper or van and just explore a couple parts of america before headed into south america via mexico+panama, into brazil for carnival, and then as far down as i can make it before catching a plane to (Australia first, and then) the East. Never to return!

Honestly, it’s nothing really that deep. I’d say I relate to the feline community, domestically house cats, but also panthers and lions. I also practice divination in the form of Tarot and Astrology.... I Am a Divine Feline. Divinity Kittty. the 3 Ts represent Trinity - which closely relates to perfection or completion. I also Love the number 3, for creation and manifestation (Trinity again). Idk, I guess it was that deep after all, lol

Ok so it’s somewhere between spirited away and Princess Mononoke... but also like maybe Bug or Teeth... Breakfast at tiffany’s too though, and Heathers.. At my mom’s theres 2 wiener dogs, Mocha and Lulu who sleep in my room when I’m there. My bf and I also care for a Pit named Nomu, a cat named Ashes, and her fresh little month old cubs who don’t all have names yet but theres 5 of them... for adoption btw. Please.

The most recent lie I told was actually today, to my boss.. hear me out though, I just got this new job & she scheduled me but never gave me a log in for the schedules, so she calls me 2 hrs before my shift (opening) and I was just like oh yea “ I have to pick up my cousin at the airport so I can only come for like an hour while you find a replacement.” mind you my cousin got in yesterday... and she drove.. but whatever, I got a free day lol.

Something outside, preferably in the sun and grass. Some kind of activity, either a game or like something where we get to create but also get to know each other better. Maybe some art or music is involved some how... last date I went on we kayaked out to a little private island and tripped half a tab, that was pretty perfect.

Relationship with Family: huge Daddy’s girl, but Daddy is also very busy and not super around all the time and she doesn’t really confide in him; very close to older brother, Nic, sometimes they feel like they are the only people in the world they can trust; younger brother has a strained relationship bc he can be kinda douche but they love each other; relationship with mother is---complicated, they are very similar and often butt heads because of their differences though and Lilian thinks she knows what’s best etc etc and Daisy is just starting to see her mom in a new light
