NO.
I Love time travel fics where Harry travels back and behold it is the hottest guy around: TOM RIDDLE.
It's either student Tom Riddle or Minister of Magic Tom Riddle or Shopkeeper Tom Riddle at Burkes.
I LOVE THOSE FICS DON'T GET ME WRONG.
I just don't get why no one talks about Hagrid.
Everyone thinks of Hagrid as someone who can't keep secrets because of the way he's portrayed babbling when someone takes the time to talk to him (ex Nicholas Flamel).
Nobody every thkns about how HE went to school with Tom Riddle.
He knew Tom Riddle.
He was framed by Tom Riddle.
He watched Tom Riddle turn evl.
He was the first piece of Tom Riddle's collateral damage.
Hagrid knew the entire time that "you know who" was Tom, the guy who got his wand snapped as a TEENAGER.
He knew who Voldemort was.
Tom obviously would remember him.
WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT HAGRID IN FICS ANYMORE??

No, because I don't think people realize how lucky we are that Voldy doesn't have emotions.
I mean, imagine what would have happened if Moldemort had empathy? He still would have killed Lilly and James bc they disobeyed him, but. Harry. He did nothing wrong.
If he had taken him in, changed his last name to Riddle, it would been over. Like, he would have all the best things, would know spells and parseltoung by 9, and would probably act like a quiet version of Draco, just waaaaaaaaay more dangerous and intimidating. He'd never know about the prophecy, he wouldn't trust Dumb as a door, he'd be sadistic and cruel, and the Wizarding world would have been doomed. Their savior was already practicing unforgivable curses at 10, how would he save them from his own father? The person that raised and cared for him his entire life? Answer, he wouldn't. He'd rule over muggles and mudbloods along side him, happy as can be.
And if you want to make it REALLY fucked, Voldy may just decide to marry him. Make him his officially. Make sure Harry didn't know how wrong it was. Groom him. And watch as the whole Wizarding world lost hope completely.

I just realized why I like Tomarry so much lololol
It isn't because of the ship itself, or their dynamic... It's because, in Tomarry fics, I get to see both their povs and understand what drives them so much.
Because on one hand, I get Harry, who's afraid of immortality because he will have to watch everything go on without him. He will have to watch everyone die.
On the other hand, there's Tom, who's afraid of death because he grew up fearing it and not knowing what comes after. Fearing that everything will someday end.
I just find the duality shown in Tomarry fics very fascinating.
