So life has a way of getting in the way sometimes right? Work, daughter moving away, health, having a life outside of SM 😱 😂 it all happens.

I am so far behind with all the Festa content, in fact the only thing I have watched is Jimin's performance.

I haven't watched either Jimin or JKs lives either 😔.

But thanks to some wonderful people blogging and DMing me on here I have been able to have a rough idea of what's going on, so thank you to @kanmom51 @dgtn @jmdbjk @sweetjikook @joyswonderland1108 and @jikook-4-ever. (Sorry if I have forgotten anyone).

I appreciate each and everyone of the people I communicate with on here, be it through DM, comments or simply a like on a post. My inbox is always open for a chat, I am happy to discuss almost anything, fun, cute, informative, opinions, hopes and fears, a little naughty (we are adults), but I refuse to waste my time on certain parts of the fandom (you know who I mean!) And it goes without saying, what's discussed in DMs stays in DMs 😀👍🤐 and can be Jikook related or life related.

Jikook still have such a special place in my heart and I support them unconditionally and with my whole heart. But right now my focus has to be on me, I will get back to posting properly when the time is right. I will continue to reblog, post short posts, like and comment and of course chat in DMs. You won't get rid of me that easily 😉

Jikook deserve all the love in the world and we will continue to give it to them, that I know. There are some tough times coming for them and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that shit yet.

Seokjin: He did have sugar gliders previously, which are not the easiest pets to care for, so I think pretty much anything would be a possibility with him, barring snakes or insects. I think a cat would be a good match for his personality tho.

Yoongi: He's such a proud Dog Dad to Holly, I think that really is the best match for him. But also, I need him to have a cat at some point in the future.

Hobi: idk why, but for some reason, I see him having something random, like a ferret? They're goofy and chaotic, kinda like him, but I know he's not a fan of mess tho, so maybe a hamster?🤷

Namjoon: I know I said it in his dating HCs, but I think hermit crabs would be a really good match for him. I could also see him maybe getting a cat, but I think it would be later on, when he feels more settled.

Jimin: Cat, it just makes sense. I know he has allergies, but I think they make special pet food now that helps reduce allergens? So once he finds that out, he would be headed straight to the shelter to find a doppelganger of himself.

Taehyung: Knowing how much thought and research he put in before getting Yeontan, I can only really see him getting another dog. Maybe a cat? But like, one of those posh looking, long haired breeds.

Jungkook: I think everyone on here would agree that, given the time and space, he would have like five dogs of varying sizes and breeds. But he's also so random, I don't think anything would really be off limits for him.

An inverted yield curve for fandoms! Now that's a brilliant idea. I'd personally pay to contribute to funds for research on that topic honestly. And it could have implications outside of fandom too, such as for whole countries since many fandoms now work like splintered political communities more than anything else. I imagine it would be an upgrade to the theory on what caused the fall of Rome, or something like that.

I think I'm alone (mostly) in my opinions on the fandom imploding, and I don't want to talk much about it because I genuinely hope I'm very wrong, and because I don't have a lot of evidence to back up why I feel this way, so there's little point in going on about it.

But you've asked so I'll be brief:

Personally, I think the implosion has already started lol. The moment the fandom decided that taekookers were someone else's problem and should only be ignored, the seeds for implosion were already set. In my opinion. Think about Larries and the 1D fandom. Shipping is one thing but as I've said before, there are theories unique to taekook shipping that are inherently subversive to the very idea of BTS, and all it takes is someone crazy enough to do real damage. But that risk was somewhat contained so long as BTS was active and things were predictable. After the 2022 Festa Dinner and the fandom now experiencing Chapter 2 where so much is now unpredictable, where indulging in competition between the members is more permissible, the control on that risk has reduced somewhat. Solo stans, akgaes, and toxic shippers are like an immuno-virus that weakens from within because they're just as passionate and involved as regular fans, they're just twisted enough to prioritize their desires over everyone else, including the members they claim to stan.

The second problem is ARMYs. Lol. Specifically the ARMYs who have tied BTS's worth to the records and titles they hold, because those are the people most likely to do stupid shit when they feel threats to those records are imminent. At some point in 2021, I noticed when people would discuss what BTS means to them and to the industry, they'd just rattle off only records and accomplishments as if that was it. Before then, at least in my experience, people would talk about the lyrical impact of BTS's songs, they'd talk about the stylistic choices made in this or that album that relative to the other albums out at the time, and so on. There's nothing wrong with gloating about BTS's records because frankly that's the only thing that shuts up some antis. But it becomes a problem I think, when those records become the primary reason you think BTS have the status and caliber they have, and you’ve tied it to a central part of your identity.

Because records will always be broken.

And in Chapter 2 that is nearly guaranteed to happen. So the ARMYs who make that both their identity, and BTS's, will expose BTS to even more ridicule than they would've faced otherwise and will be disproportionately affected. If another group gets a Grammys nomination this year for example, or *gasp* actually wins the award next year, lol just pack it all up and give it to God. It will be bloody in these purple streets. Because too many ARMYs have tied BTS's worth to their achievements and only heightened the risk for implosion before 2026.

I've got a few more reasons but I've already written enough, and like I said I don't have much evidence for what I'm thinking anyway. But I suggest anyone who calls themselves a fan of BTS, reflect sometimes on why they're a fan, why they spend time in fandom spaces, and think about how to build real, honest community with people here while trying not to take too much personally.

It's the big anniversary and I have been wondering how the last 10 years would be celebrated after the emotional rollercoaster of last year. Imagine the confusion of a baby army when faced with the tear stained faces of RM, J-Hope and Jimin. Perhaps Jungkook was the one to most clearly and succinctly communicate what they were all thinking and feeling.

It's worth watching the whole thing again if you can bear it. So many clues to what we have seen unfold over the last 12 months.

It also reminded me of the roles initially assigned to everyone and how difficult it was for them to shake them off. Even last June, JK still hadn't shed the heavy mantel of the golden maknae.

But look at him now. I don't think anyone would dare to comment on his maturity in quite the same way right now. What a difference time and a little space can make.

They have all changed and grown and the age differences that were so marked at the beginning of their career have faded almost completely away. It is therefore inevitable that when they do get back together, sometime in or after 2025 (fingers crossed) there will be another process of storming, forming and norming before they can perform again as a new more mature version of the team we all love.

So what can this year's Festa really bring us with two members already enlisted, one in the middle of a World Tour and everyone else bombing around the world without more than a few hours notice.

Then we have new music. The digital single Take Two written by RM and JHope and produced by Suga. It's coming out on at 1pm KST, 9th June 2023 so get ready to rumble. Good thing we have been getting our fair share of streaming practice with all the solo releases over the last few months.

There will definitely be a lot of other surprises over the next few days and the celebrations will culminate with a massive fireworks display in Hangang Park in Yeouido on the evening of the 17th June. Tourist packages for the event are already on sale on line.

Hi Storm, thank you for answering my ask re Jimin always get what he wants. Yes, Jimin confirmed this in festa. And the video I mentioned in my earlier ask was an old video, he mentioned his wishes were to hold a concert in xxx, to win xxx awards…etc. and those were wishes that had not been achieved yet when he shot that video. I tried to search for that clip but no luck… Jimin is amazing and inspiring, when he said he always achieve his desires, he was not lying. And he keeps proving it to us 💜

They did wishes for Festa often. Are you thinking if any of these earlier ones?

In 2014, Jimins wish was that he wants to punch suga hyung lol. Hobis wants bangtan to have their own concert with army, Jins wish is to have my own building, RMs wish is to have a lot of clothes, Vs wish is to drive this year, Jks wish is for bangtan to win first place.

In 2015, Jimins wish was "to hold a bigger concert then we have before." Jins wish was to do an eating variety show, jhopes was for BTS to win best singer, Taes was to go to Han river and have fun with the members, Yoongis was to perform at Jamsil stadium, JKs was for them to each have a solo song in an album, RMs was to do a another mixtape and go on a trip as a team

In 2016, RMs wish is that they will work hard and do well forever. Jins wish is that things could last like they are and for Jimin to do more eat Jin lives with him. Taes wish is for everyone to stay safe and not get hurt. Jimins wish is to get everything they want to and keep getting along. Jks wish is to keep being successful and for the members to get everything they want. Sugas wish was for them to be healthy and find happiness in family and between the members. Hobis wish is that they win Best Artist Award. (And then they did!)

If it wasn't any of these, I'll probably need more details to find the video you are thinking of. But it's pretty emotional looking back on these early years BTS wishes and goals and see how they've achieved EVERYTHING they said they wanted. Even when at first they thought these wishes were too big and impossible. And look at how much farther they've come too!

No, no, you are making sense. I've thought about it too. But they all went through so many changes since last year so that probably affected him a bit. It can't be easy. And also the fact that he worked day and night for so many years and now he's just taking a well deserved break that anyone would be more than happy to take, but maybe it feels unfamiliar to him. But things will get into place for all of them, soon, i hope! And the stalker situation, i hate it so much.. tanies already have other thing to worry about. Why do they put them in such difficult situations?!

Tbh, after what happened with festa last year I was a little worried for them, that in the future they might not be as comfortable to share their feelings and vulnerable moments like that, just to have so many people twist it however they liked. Cause it's not just bangtan and army.. the rest of the world also has all eyes on the...

At this time when people are stressing over subunits and Festa content, I'd like to try and be a happy pill/happy virus for us Jkkrs (It'll work even if I just bring smile to y'all's faces) These are some of my favorite Jkk moments.

1. where Jk runs over to the other side of the stage just to have Jm petting him fondly. And their smiles after that —Jm's smile, we can just literally see how much he adores Jk and he's soooo fond of him. Then Jk's smile, he was happy with his little accomplishment which is sooo cute.

2. That clip where they're walking backstage after a concert and Jm's talking to the camera about how he looked at Jk having fun on the stage and from that point he was enjoying the evening even more.

3. The moment where Jm asks to taste Jk's milk and ends up taking a loooong sip. That's so cute <3

4. When Jm goes up the stairs to Jk sitting at the top calling him Kooliet all the way.

5. When Jm gives his initial (toy) to Jk because he wanted that one and takes Rock bison? Instead (what is that toy called I forgot XD)

6. When Jm holds Jk's hands because he thought it'd be better to be sticky together.

7. When Jk puts a handful of jellies/candies on Jm's toast and walks back laughing at him.

8. The moment where Jm watches Jk performing Euphoria and records it on his phone.

There are so many moments, so let's worry about having or not having a Jikook subunit and enjoy and appreciate their efforts and all the pairings that we're about to get :)

How are we all doing?

Because I am emotional.

I want to say straight away I absolutely support their decision, it is so important to remember that these men are humans who need to find out who they are outside of being a member of BTS and I look forward to the solo music.

But I will miss them during the break, they have helped me in so many ways during a very tough period in my life. As a 7 they are fun, chaotic, emotional and beautiful to watch and Jikook have stolen this 42 year old woman's heart.

Now... this moment broke me and I can't help but feel it was loaded with so much more than what they were talking about at the time

I'm not going to get into a discussion about what it is loaded with as I would be guessing and I don't know anything for sure but I'm sure most of us here have a good idea.

This broke my heart a little I won't lie. There will be parts of the fandom who will throw their toys out the pram about this but as those who support their decision we just have to make sure we are a lot bloody louder.

Not to mention Jikook have work hours and personal hours and sometimes have a hard time leaving the "I'm undressing you with my eyes" stuff at home. Probably because they don't get enough time just the 2 of them, but also get get see each other during their working time... blessing and a curse, I guess. Namjoon has also never brought his boyfriend in front of 60k people and sucked their ear.

Do I think Jikook had a sit down conversation about trusting them and backing off a bit, yes. Yes I do. Pretty sure Jimin mentioned it in 2019 Festa. Do I think RM is doing anything wrong or how it isn't okay for him possibly get a little annoyed at flirting that happens or when they go off into their own bubble during work hours? No, I don't think that at all. Yall need to lay off RM! My boy is just trying to keep everyone safe and happy. If he DOES have a boyfriend, he is very much so in control of anything that gets posted or seen. If Jikook are boyfriends, they Do NOT have that same luxury and therefore they and everyone around them have to be significantly more careful and aware of how their actions could possibly come across.

I don't know if your insecure jikooker anon is really an insecure one or a tkkr messing with you, but my friend and I became bts fans late last year, and jkkrs maybe after a month or so. and it's the first time we've known about ships. we binge-watched a lot of content, at the same time watched their real-time ones.there were times where jkk seemed off. at first, no one talked about it and my friend and I would wonder why and every now and then would check on social media if fans did already. we would think why would fans be so blind. then later on a few videos came out about it and some mentioned about their distance. we were like, yes finally at least people are realistic. then a few months later they'd release videos that would show jikook were okay. I even saw pap vids of them going home together when I was so sure they've broken up. then now memo2020 came out. I think all the times I thought they were distant, memo20 answered them.they really weren't. so anon even if you're sure they're not okay now, just wait for later contents. you might be surprised you were wrong. I'm sure they are not okay all the time, it's natural for people to disagree or have bad times. I don't even know if they've shown that side to us, but it's okay to have doubts.just don't push it and harass people about it on social media.haha. and if you find yourself getting affected too much, take a step back. focus on their songs, find another hobby, call your friends, make a ptd dance video. this should not ruin your life. haha.we're meant to just enjoy things. no one can promise they'd live happily ever after, we can't control that. it's their life. we're here ultimately for their music. their personal life is actually none of our business. let's just be happy and content they show us a part of it. be kind to one another (except tkkrs. i hate them! haha). be kind especially to our bloggers here on tumbler who gave a space for us to fangirl over bts and our dear jikook, and also a space to vent every now and then.haha

I'll also just say to you and your friend, don't let it worry you too much. It's all about how content gets released and when. You won't get major flirty jikook during official moments that get released first. You'll get some little moments here and there or sometimes even nothing. But then as the months go on, the back log starts rolling out and we see more and more and more. And every single time, they were fine and acting very loving to each other.

The amount of insecurities and backlash that was going on about jikook and how they OBVIOUSLY have broken up during Black Swan era was insane. Just take a look at memories to see exactly how far off base all those worries were. Everyone insisted they broke up or we were all crazy, there was no love there. Things were off, rhey were mad at each other, etc. Just for Jikook to be backstage giggling and flirting, in content we hadn't seen. For Festa this year we got a dance practice video that had been filmed literally a year earlier. For Festa last year we got a video of them being silly and dancing to Airplane pt. 2 that was filmed in 2018. Content is not released in order basically ever.

And again, that's not to say they never fight. We know of at least 2 big fights they have had. Their rainy day fight and Manila fight (you can find my posts over those on my masterlist). And I am 100% positive they have had more that we don't even know about. And I know for sure they have probably had petty fights such as not doing the dishes right away and letting it pile up and one person getting pissy about it. Or stupid little things like that. It happens, it's normal, its expected, whether it's a romantic relationship or platonic one, fights are normal and expected.

Like I keep saying, it's hard to know what we are looking at until we can connect all the puzzle pieces. This is Black Swan all over again. Which there was also a flood of insecurities during the Dynamite era. During literally Every. Single. Era. It's not new, it won't change. It's just how it is. The insecurities get proven wrong again and again and again, but they just keep pushing them back. Nothing will ever make the insecurities/antis go away. It's just the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately.
