Happy WIP Wednesday!!

So apparently some of y'all have been busy and well I'm gonna get this in now before I don't get a chance to because while it's still rough draft, this bit of 'baby just say yes' (that tswift fairytale) is really quite cute and deserves to be seen by more than just me b4 April

Prince Alex is still ten years of age when it happens, just days before Prince Henry is to turn twelve, they are practicing their magic lessons together in the garden, learning how to wield their magic together. They are working on a lesson they learned from Prince Henry’s parents, Princess Catherine and Royal Earl Arthur, on strengthening each other’s magic. They have been working at it for quite some time to no avail, and young princes are growing frustrated when there is a sudden poof! of magic between them. Prince Alex closes his eyes at the flash of light accompanying the burst of magic, and when he opens them, Henry is no longer sitting in front of him. The young prince lets out a screech that he denies whenever the story is retold as he feels something small jump in his lap. The young prince looks down, and the most adorable, almost-blonde kitten is staring up at him; the kitten's eyes look like Henry’s shade of blue in them. The prince is so excited to show Henry the kitten when he finds out where he is. When Arthur finds him, Alex is still sitting with the kitten curled up in his arms, petting and kissing its adorable face. The magic emanating from the area gives some indication of what happened, but he asks anyway, “Alex, where is Henry? I was under the impression the two of you were out here practicing.” Alex sets the kitten into his lap and looks up; the fear in his young eyes is evident to any who takes a moment to look. “Well, we were practicing, working on some of the tandom magic you and Catherine showed us, and - something happened. I don’t know what, but there was a poof!” Alex says with an exaggerated movement of his arms, continuing, “And I closed my eyes because of the very bright light, and then when I opened them, Henry wasn’t here, and this adorable kitten was instead. I may have gotten a little distracted when we were working, and now I don’t know where Henry is.” Alex stops speaking when the kitten starts to bat at his arms, which are still moving around. He picks the kitten back up into his arms, and it snuggles into his chest. Arthur barely has to use any of his magic to know that the kitten Alex is so attached to is his son, Henry. The young prince, Alex, is devastated when he is told that his friend, his best friend, other than his sister, June, is now a kitten. He is so smitten with the kitten that he only lets it out of his sight when he falls asleep. He deems it his job to care for Kitty Hen as he has taken to calling the kitten; after all, he blames himself for the magic mishap that caused the change. Alex spends his days at the palace in Windsor caring for his friend; he asks his favorite cook in the kitchen to help him make a cat-friendly cake for Henry when it’s obvious that he won’t be turning back before his birthday. He finds only the best tuna for his friend, which he finds funny because he’s never known his friend to eat tuna when in human form. Alex brings Kitty Hen with him everywhere and sometimes swears to those around them that the kitten is trying to communicate with him; the prince has yet to figure out how to understand the cat, though. The Prince has found that if the kitten must do his business inside, he will attempt to climb onto the toilet rather than use the litter box that has been provided. This leads to Alex finding the kitten fallen into the toilet the first day, and from then on, he has spent almost every waking moment he can outside with the kitten to give it somewhere it won’t fall into to do his business. If when Henry is in human form, Alex gets them into most of the scrapes they get into, then in kitten form, Henry is definitely making up for that - as Alex follows the kitten everywhere, and kittens have a much easier time getting around unseen. Every time Alex receives a scolding for one of their adventures, the kitten that is his friend climbs into his lap and purrs until he forgives him, only to do it all again.

Ethan woke up. His blurry vision scanned the room, before he felt a hand press him back down on a bed.

"Easy there, child." The quiet voice of Daphne Valentine soothed the beating in his ears.

"Where am I?"

"In the hospital."

"What? Why?"

"You hit your head and lost consciousness. The others are also being treated."

Ethan opened his eyes, his vision much better. "How are they?"

Daphne nodded. "Stable."

Then, she whispered, "Thank you for saving my darling."

Ethan smiled weakly, he could feel sleep engulfing him.

"I'll be back in five minutes, your father will be arriving shortly."

Just then, Alan walked in, and Daphne smiled in delight. "There you go, Ethan."

The two adults exchanged pleasantries, before Daphne bent down and kissed Ethan on the forehead and walked out.

Ethan closed his eyes tightly, trying to keep his emotions at bay.

Being kissed like that, with maternal love and affection, even the heavens knew he'd missed it.

He felt Alan talking, and he engaged in the conversation.

Catherine moaned, her head throbbing as her eyes tried to adjust to the warm lights.

"Holy fuc-"

"I'm here."

"Holy fuchsia."

"Totally believable."

"What else would I be meaning?"

"Of course." The teasing twinkle of Daphne Valentine welcomed Catherine back to consciousness.

She sat up, looking around. She was in the general ward, and saw her friends in different beds, their parents surrounding them.

"Where's Ethan, Anna and Bryce?"

"Ethan is in a private ward because he faced several injuries all over his body, Anna is in ventilation, and Bryce is at the other end of the ward. His parents will be arriving shortly."

Catherine nodded. "Can I see them?"

"Wait for the doctor."

Just then, Sienna's voice reached her. "C?"

"I'm alive."

"Me too. Cheers."

"Cheers. Where's the doctor?"

"Mom said she's coming."

"Ehh."

Just then, a doctor walked in. "How are you kids feeling?"

"Alive."

The doctor quickly performed an overall checkup, and announced everyone fit. "You all can go see your friends if you wish."

The six got out of their beds.

"Ethan first. Then Anna." Catherine said firmly.

"Without doubt."

Catherine saw the adults talking, and they slipped out.

"Doc said room 625."

"Ethan?" His eyes fluttered open to meet the nervous face of Catherine Valentine.

"Hi" he softly murmured.

"Doc said we are fit to leave, what about you?"

"Mm...will be discharged...two hours.... hurts in the head....see you soon..." Ethan's eyes were struggling to stay open.

"Get well soon, stupid." Jackie mumbled.

"He's not stupid?" Sienna said incredulously.

The friend group went out, Catherine requesting an extra five minutes with Ethan.

Before she could speak, however, "no."

She looked at him in surprise. "No, C. I know you are going to apologize, for what? There's nothing to be sorry about."

Catherine mumbled something before sitting by him and stroking his hair.

Seeing his smile, she bent down to softly brush her lips against his forehead, eliciting a delighted squeal from him.

"Oh, sorry." Catherine looked up to see Alan and Daphne standing there, smiling slightly.

She backed off, feeling a blush creep up her neck. "I'll just..."

"Stay." The guardians left the two teens alone, and Ethan snuggled into the thin blanket, the comforting presence of Catherine lulling him to sleep.

It was morning when Catherine blinked against the harsh lights. The distinct voice of Ethan rang through her ears, and she bolted up.

"Hi, C." The cheerful face of Ethan Ramsey and the morose face of Anna Holden met her.

"Hi."

Anna extended a hand awkwardly. "I believe we got off on the wrong foot. I'm sorry, and, I'd like to start over."

Catherine smiled. "Thank you."

She looked around. It was her living room. Her friends were lying in different positions, either sleeping or half awake.

Just then, Sienna stirred. "Mmmm."

Catherine laughed. "Good morning to you too."

"Morning, duck face."

Catherine shoved her playfully, as Sienna groaned. "Bloody hell, I feel so sore."

"Stretch around, it'll help."

"Gee, thanks, Doc."

"Main question is, how did we end up in C's living room?" Anna asked curiously.

"That would be me."

The twinkling face of Daphne Valentine popped into the room. "Your parents gave me permission to let all of you spend a couple of days at our place."

Bryce smiled. "Thanks, Mrs. Valentine."

Daphne smiled, then said, "Breakfast is ready, if you all are."

Ethan took his place beside Catherine, blushing slightly.

"Why are you looking like a tomato?" Catherine asked, giggling.

Ethan looked at his plate, unable to say anything.

Teasingly, Catherine squeezed his thigh, and Ethan went fifty shades darker.

Catherine looked down, just in case she hurt him, then had to bite back a small laugh.

Ethan couldn't even look at her.

"Awww." Catherine teased.

"Stop. It's embarrassing." Ethan mumbled.

Catherine laughed. "What? It's natural, now that you're undergoing adolescence."

Ethan sighed. "I know, but really? Here, of all places? Everyone will see it as soon as I get up!" He whispered.

Catherine laughed. "Hopefully it'll die down by then."

"What are you two talking about?" Sienna asked curiously.

"Look at Ethan, he's blushing." Anna teased.

Jackie snorted. "Who knows, maybe they're playing under the table."

"Jackie!" Elijah said, blushing slightly. "We are minors!"

Jackie rolled her eyes. "Chill, meathead. We all know what sex is." Bryce added.

Catherine laughed as Ethan blushed harder. "Awww you're fifty shades of red."

"It's not funny." Ethan hissed, and Catherine stopped, seeing his eyes.

"Sorry." She said apologetically.

Even after lunch, Ethan resolutely refused to get up for reasons unknown to all but Catherine.

As the others filed out of the room, Catherine was about to turn the lights off when she saw Ethan sitting at the table.

She chuckled. "Your tent pole is still upright?"

Ethan helplessly glared at her.

"I win!" Sienna declared, knocking out Catherine's final chess piece.

"Well played, Si. Rematch?" Catherine said enthusiastically.

"You're on!" Sienna said, laughing.

"Goodnight, campers. Have fun." Daphne Valentine said cheerfully before leaving Catherine's bedroom, all the kids camping on mattresses.

The next morning, Ethan woke up to a dark room.

"Mmnghh." He moaned. Looking at the digital alarm clock, he realised it was 4.00 a.m.

Just then, he felt someone stir beside him.

"Ethan?" Anna whispered.

"Mm?"

"It's so dark."

"Mm."

"Go to sleep."

"Mm!"

"Stop saying mm!" Anna snapped sleepily.

"Mm..."

Sighing, Anna turned on her side and went back to her peaceful slumber.

It was 8.00 a.m when they all were very rudely awoken by Lucas Valentine barging in, in pursuit of his lost TV remote.

After breakfast, when everyone left, Daphne called Catherine for a conversation.

"Invite them over for your birthday." She said simply.

"What? Oh, yeah. I'd been planning on that." Catherine said lightly.

"Don't plan, put it in action. Your birthday is almost here."

Catherine nodded. "Alright. I'll invite them now."

Doctor Who 60th Anniversary

🥳 Happy birthday Doctor Who!!! 🥳

I just watched the first Doctor Who 60th Anniversary special, 'The Star Beast'.

Oh my god, it was glorious! It was like coming home to a big warm hug. David & Catherine are BRILLIANT, and magical and they're so happy to be back together. And the writing just has Russell's fingerprints all over it. I literally feel like I'm back 15 years ago, watching my favourite Doctor and companion running around the universe in the TARDIS having all the fun adventures.

Just what my heart and soul needed today. Thank you. ❤️

Yesterday, November 4 (yesterday) was my birthday today, November 5 I'm sick at the hospital again & paramedics rushed me into hospital for the 10th time in my life as a patient again as a patient not feeling too well and I still have a broken hand. what’s your favorite type of music? I can't possibly pick a singular type! I'm someone who lets her whims determine what Spotify list is playing during work. I definitely favor pre-millennium rock and pop music, anything from before maybe 2005? I was raised on Queen, my first concert was Bon Jovi, and relate to older rap like Run DMC rather than a lot of the stuff that comes out today. That said, the only genre I dismiss outright is country music, but even then you'll get the occasional legend that I'll put on sometimes, like Johnny Cash. Cash can really be a mood.

Have you ever broken a rule for the greater good? I live in America, where we're seeing more civils rights rollbacks than a police convention. I make it my goddamn duty to my country and my people to commit civil disobedience whenever necessary and called for. I regularly attend BLM and Pride rallies to support my friends and neighbors who just want to exist without being shot. Now that abortion rights and transgender rights are disappearing, I'm already participating in underground support movements to get healthcare to anyone who needs it. I've always had this almost perverse, extreme sense of justice, and with all the shit going down here, I basically said that if I can't personally shove my middle fingers up their asses, I can damn well try.

What’s your favorite period in history? Oh, you done it. History was my best subject in school, it was the only subject I did AP classes for, and I took both AP World and AP American and aced both. So choosing a favorite period in history is like choosing a favorite star in the sky. I would probably say my all-time favorite period in history to look at is the Enlightenment Era in Europe. You have some of the greatest women monarchs in history during that time like Maria Theresa and Catherine the Great, interesting philosophers and scientific advancements, and hella bloody revolutions to spice things up. Plus, all the men wore puffy pants and had long hair. Delicious.

**Also, Kida is the single most underrated Disney Princess of all time and no one will be able to convince me otherwise.**

HAPPY 42ND BIRTHDAY TO HRH THE PRINCESS OF WALES, CATHERINE ELIZABETH ♡

Catherine Elizabeth (nee. Middleton) was born to Michael and Carole Middleton at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, on 9 January 1982. She was christened when she was six months old at the parish church of St. Andrew’s Bradfield in Berkshire on 20 June.

Catherine studied in nursery school in Amman during her family's time in Jordan. After moving back to the UK, she joined St. Andrew’s School, from where she went on to study in Marlborough College in Wiltshire, studying Chemistry, Biology, and Art at A-level.

The Princess undertook a gap year gap year studying at British Institute in Florence, working with Raleigh International programme in Chile, and crewing on Round the World Challenge boats in the Solent. In 2001, she enrolled in the University of St. Andrew’s where she met William for the first time to study Art history.

Cat and William fell in love during their time at uni, and married at Westminster Abbey on 29 APRIL 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The couple have three adorable cupcakes Prince George (b.2013), Princess Charlotte (b.2015) and Prince Louis (b.2018). The family of five divide time between their official residence, Kensington Palace and their two private residences - Amner Hall & Adelaide Cottage.

Upon her wedding, Catherine became HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, The Countess of Strathearn and Lady Carrickfergus. She received the titles of the Duchess of Cornwall & The Duchess of Rothesay upon King Charles's accession to the throne. William and her were made The Prince and Princess of Wales by him on 9 September 2022.

As well as undertaking royal duties in support of The King, both in the UK and overseas, The Princess devotes her time to supporting a number of charitable causes and organisations with some of her key areas of interest being Early Childhood Development, Children's Mental Health, Visual Arts and Sports among others.

Catherine woke up at 6.00 in the morning, brushing her tousled hair back as she brushed her teeth.

It was Ethan's birthday, and Catherine was determined to make it special.

She couldn't cook, for the sake of the world, but she decided to bake a cake for him.

Getting to work, she baked three small chocolate cheesecakes.

Smiling proudly at her work, she took out a sticky note, scribbled that she'd be at Ethan's for his birthday, and after sticking it to the kotechen counter, she slipped out of the house.

Ethan lived two houses away, and Catherine had no problem finding his coordinate.

She rang the bell, and immediately came face to face with a man. He looked at her kindly and asked "Can I help you?"

Catherine nodded. "Is this Ethan's house?"

The man smiled. "Yes. I assume you're his friend?"

Catherine cleared her throat, but nodded. "I wanted to surprise him on his birthday."

The light in the man's eyes flickered ever so slightly, but he let Catherine in.

Upon reaching Ethan's room, she saw the door was slightly open.

Pushing it open, she saw Ethan at his desk, studying.

She gaped. Who studied on their birthday?

But seeing Ethan's outfit made her stifle a giggle. He was wearing cream teddy pajamas and looked absolutely adorable.

Coughing slightly, she stepped into the room.

"What is-" Ethan turned around and froze. An uneasy flush covered his face.

Before she could react, he was up from his seat, shooting an embarrassed glare at her. But there was some uneasiness behind his eyes.

Catherine laughed. "Teddy PJs?"

Ethan made a face. "Who invited you?"

Catherine frowned. "There's no need to be so rude. I just came to give you a birthday gift. Happy Birthday."

Ethan looked furious. "I don't celebrate birthdays."

"What kind of grump are you? Your mum is gonna hear about this."

Catherine didn't mean it seriously, but she could see she had hit a chord, for his eyes welled up and he looked away.

Shit. She did not just make the birthday boy cry.

"Hey, uh, I'm sorry."

"Get out."

"Ethan, I didn't mean it. I'm so sorry."

"But I meant what I said. Get. Out."

Catherine sighed. Her brain yelled at her to leave, but her guts screamed no.

She put the bag of cakes down, and walked up to him.

"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong."

Ethan looked furious. "I hate you. Go away. You're not wanted."

Just then, the man who had opened the door appeared.

"That is no way to talk to anyone, Ethan. Apologize immediately."

"But Dad, she-"

"I don't want to hear anything. I've heard the last bit of the conversation, and I think I've heard enough."

He glared at Mr. Ramsey before throwing a sorry at Catherine, who nodded, feeling taken aback.

"Now, I think you owe this young lady the truth."

At that, Ethan got up, throwing his hands in the air furiously. "No way, Dad. She talks too much."

Catherine felt hurt. Getting up, she tapped Ethan on the shoulder.

"I'm going. Have a good birthday. I'm sorry I was a nuisance. Goodbye."

Before Mr. Ramsey could stop her, Catherine had shot him a small smile and rushed away, feeling the tears nearby.

Ethan's POV

The bag of cakes remained on the table. Ethan sat down on the bed, breathing heavily.

He stared at his hands, trying to calm down, when it suddenly hit him. Catherine never knew his history. Everything she had said had no motive to hurt him intentionally.

The wounds of his mother's abandonment were still raw. Maybe that's why that comment had hurt him so much.

But he knew he had been wrong. Terribly wrong.

He exhaled deeply.

Turning to the bag of cakes, he hesitantly took it out.

Three small chocolate cheesecakes were in a cute glass container, wrapped with red ribbon and a small note attached to it.

He flipped open the note:

Happy Birthday, Grumpsey.

Here's to many more years of happiness and joy.

Oh, great. He'd done a wonderful job by driving her away.

Sighing, he got up, deciding to apologize to her in school.

Catherine sighed. That hadn't gone as planned. Worse, instead of making him crack a smile, she'd almost made him cry.

She felt low, and had half a mind to skip school.

But in the end, she did decide to go to school.

If anything, she'd apologize for making him upset.

The bell rang for recess and Ethan slipped away.

Catherine managed to follow him amongst the throng of students, and found him go into the school garden and sit down under a weeping ash tree.

"Hey, Ethan."

Looking at her, Ethan got up quickly.

"I'm sorry for behaving like that."

Catherine laughed bitterly. "It's okay. I'm sorry for making you upset as well."

Ethan's eyes widened.

"Don't worry, you won't have to deal with me anymore. I'll ask Lucas Sir to change our seats."

With that, she turned to leave, but a hand grabbed her wrist.

"Wait! I, uh, no. Don't."

"Why? You hate me."

"You're uhh..less of a nuisance as compared to the rest."

Catherine glared at him.

"Let me go."

"Not until you say you're not gonna change seats."

"Why? So you can hurt me more? It's only been two days, Ethan. You didn't have to be so cold."

Ethan dropped her hand.

"I need to tell you something. Let's sit down."

They made themselves comfortable under the weeping ash, and Catherine raised her eyebrows.

"Well?"

"Okay, so, when I was 11, my mum left. Abandoned me. Told us she wanted to be free. Basically, I was a burden. By the time he was done, Ethan could feel tears pricking the back of his eyes.

Oh dear Lord, no. He wasn't gonna cry.

Suddenly, he became aware of his body being encircled by two arms in a warm hug.

Getting to feel physical affection after almost four years made Ethan feel overwhelmed.

He didn't complain, turning to Catherine and leaning into the embrace.

They stayed like that for two minutes, before Catherine broke the embrace.

Leaning back, she smiled tenderly as she saw the emotions swirling in his eyes.

"Get up, we have to celebrate your birthday in the cafeteria. Our friends must be waiting."

"You mean YOUR friends. Also, thank you for the gift. It was lovely."

Catherine grinned. "Okay, Grumpsey, let's go."

"Who're you calling Grumpsey? Valentine, come back right now!"

But Catherine had already rushed away to the cafeteria.

Shaking his head, Ethan raced after her, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Happy Birthday Ethan!"

The cafeteria shouted as soon as Ethan stepped foot into the room.

Ethan tried to smile, fighting hard to push back the raw memories of celebrating his birthday with his mum.

He stared at the cake. It was beautiful.

"Courtesy of Sienna, Ethan." Catherine smiled.

Seeing him overwhelmed, Catherine laughed, giving his shoulder a squeeze.

He cut the cake, and Elijah and Sienna shouted in unison, "Make a wish!"

Jackie snickered, and Aurora stifled a laugh.

Normally, Ethan would have rolled his eyes at making a wish, but now, he'd do anything to have his mother back.

He knew he was being illogical, but that didn't stop him from wishing his mother to be back with him.

Catherine thought she knew what Ethan had wished for, and sure enough, when they had eye contact, everything passed through them in an unspoken understanding.

It had been two days since Ethan's birthday, and life had been perfect to Catherine.

She was reading a book by the school garden, having arrived an hour early, when Ethan's voice interrupted her.

"Morning! You come to school early as well?"

Catherine looked up and waved. "G'morning, and no, I don't. I just came so I could finish this in peace. My sister won't let me read in peace, for some reason."

Ethan laughed.

"What about you, Grumpsey? Why are you early?"

Ethan flushed.

"I just don't like staying at home anymore."

Catherine felt a pang in her heart, and putting the book down, she walked up to him and hugged him.

He sniffled ever so slightly, tightly embracing her as he buried his face in her shoulder.

They broke apart, and Ethan wanted to give it a shot.

No matter the risk, he wanted to try. Maybe it would work out?

He nervously cleared his throat.

"I know this is very sudden, but, would you like to hang out with me?"

A teasing glint appeared in Catherine's eyes. "You mean, a date?"

Ethan's adorable flush was more than enough answer, and Catherine burst out laughing.

Ethan made a face. "Whatever."

"I'd like to 'hang out', Grumpsey."

Ethan rolled his eyes. "Stop calling me that."

Catherine giggled. "Call you what, Grumpsey?"

Sighing, he shook his head. "You know what, never mind. I don't even know why I bother."

Catherine chuckled.

"So...are you free tomorrow?"

Catherine nodded.

"Do you like ice skating?"

Catherine shook her head, but her eyes were shining. "I've always wanted to learn."

"Great, then. Let's go to the skating rink after school."

"That'd be lovely. Thanks, Ethan."

Ethan nodded, blushing ever so slightly as he threw her a small smile.

"See you in class, Catherine."

"See you around!"

Sagal was born on January 19, 1954, in Los Angeles to a show business family with five children. Her mother, Sara Zwilling, was a singer (stage name Sara Macon), producer, and television writer who died of heart disease in 1975, and Sagal's father, Boris Sagal, worked as a television director. Her father was a Ukrainian-Jewish immigrant. Her mother had Amish ancestors. In 1977, Sagal's father married dancer/actress Marge Champion, a few years before his accidental death on the set of the miniseries World War III in 1981. Three of Sagal's four siblings are actors: her younger twin sisters, Jean and Liz Sagal and brother Joey Sagal; her other brother David Sagal is an attorney married to actress McNally Sagal. Sagal and her siblings grew up in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Sagal began her career in show business as a singer and songwriter. In 1973, she worked as a backing vocalist for various singers, including Bob Dylan, Etta James, and Tanya Tucker. In 1976, while a member of The Group with No Name, she contributed to the album Moon over Brooklyn (on which she was credited as "Katie Sagal").
