One thing I am curious about with regards to Amok Time is the language. Did the writers have a personal vendetta against the word "thou"? Or was it a stylistic decision to make the Vulcan speech sound weird and alien by using "thee" even when it's technically grammatically incorrect? Then again, I would think even grammatically correct Early Modern English would sound unfamiliar or uncommon enough to the average audience member.
Or is it supposed to mean that T'Pau's English is just a little wrong/outdated because it's not her first language? But then she uses "thy" and "thyself" just fine.
I'd love to know what's behind that choice, and I'm sure it was one since someone would've surely caught that had it been a mistake, considering there's a bunch of Shakespeare enjoyers who worked on that show, right?

Lupin The Third 56th Anniversary!!! 🎊🎉
I drew the big image of Lupin on the right and the "56" last night, and put together a collage for the background of all of the drawings I've made of Lupin thus far (not counting the animations)!✨️🎨
______
On this day 56 years ago, Lupin III was first published in Weekly Manga Action!
The manga became an instant hit in Japan, and the series is still going on strong even today, having several manga series, comics, anime series, animated & live action movies, and video games!
It was among the first manga and anime series aimed towards adults, it's the first anime to use stereo audio, and series creator Monkey Punch was the ones who helped usher in the use of digital art and digital illustration.
Lupin III even inspired and was responsible for characters like TV reporter April O'Neal from the TMNT TV shows and films, Dr. Eggman & Rouge The Bat from Sonic The Hedgehog, Inspector Gadget which originally started from a Sci-Fi Lupin III spin off show that was planned (Lupin VIII), Persona 5, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Aria the Scarlet Ammo and many more. Lupin III even inspired some of the stuff you see in Indiana Jones and the Tom Cruz Mission Impossible movies, including the iconic vault stunt from his first MI movie.
Lupin III is an iconic series, one that despite starting in the 1960's, manages to always stay relevant and epic, and always comes out on top no matter what time period it is. The main character himself even prides himself on that!
So Happy 56th Anniversary to the franchise!!!✨️💎
Anyways, sorry for rambling on for so long, and thank you very much for taking the time to read this! ^v^

Happy 56th anniversary of the observation of pulsars!
On 28 November 1967, while a postgraduate student at Cambridge, Bell Burnell detected a "bit of scruff" on her chart-recorder papers that tracked across the sky with the stars. The signal had been visible in data taken in August, but as the papers had to be checked by hand, it took her three months to find it.[25] She established that the signal was pulsing with great regularity, at a rate of about one pulse every one and a third seconds. Temporarily dubbed "Little Green Man 1" (LGM-1) the source (now known as PSR B1919+21) was identified after several years as a rapidly rotating neutron star.
Nice Q&A with Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell: https://www.cam.ac.uk/stories/journeysofdiscovery-pulsars

On January 20th, 1968, Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski were married at the Kensington and Chelsea Registry Office in London, marking what would have been their 56th wedding anniversary today. Despite the initially intimate nature of the ceremony, it turned into a media spectacle as photographers outnumbered the guests. Notable attendees included Victor Lownes, hairstylist Carrie White, Ryszard Liebling (Polanski's father), and his wife Wanda. Gene Gutowski served as Best Man, and Barbara Parkins took on the role of Maid of Honor. The reception, held at Lownes' Playboy Club, surpassed the star-studded ceremony. The happy newlyweds were among the first to depart the festivities, retiring to their nearby apartment. The following year, as Sharon and Roman were expecting their first child, Roman had envisioned a girl. Twenty-four years later, on what would have been their wedding anniversary, Polanski became a father... to a girl, named Morgane. This has always stood out to me. And who knows. Perhaps this was a sign from Sharon-a reassuring symbol of hope🌻🌻🌻

Happy (day after) 56th anniversary to Spock from Star Trek's fiancee T'Pring playing the system to avoid marrying a man that didn't love her, was barely ever around, and only came back to marry her because he would've literally died if he hadn't.
A lot of people hate T'Pring, and I get the kneejerk reaction, how *dare* this one-off character pit two of the most popular and prominent characters in the original series against each other??? But just try and think what it would be like to be her. This guy she was betrothed to during childhood that she barely knows and clearly does not prioritize their relationship vs a guy she actually does love and loves her in return, and she can expect to spend a decent amount of time with.
I also don't want to make Spock out as a villain here, the whole thing was an unfair situation that was foisted upon them and to both of their detriment, but T'Pring got the shorter end of the stick. Her setting him up against Kirk was the only culturally acceptable way for her to possibly escape marrying Spock, and she picked Kirk because he was an off-worlder, thus more likely to accept the challenge since he probably didn't know the rules and was more likely to not want to marry her if he won in the end.
That's how it often is for women throughout history, they're held to strict social standards and allowed little agency, so they find a way to use those standards to their advantage and reclaim some of that agency, and they usually get labeled as being manipulative, evil bitches for it, but T'Pring is a rare case where she's portrayed in a generally sympathetic or at least more neutral light. You're allowed to judge her for yourself rather than told how to feel about her. And you gotta remember that Spock doesn't even really seem to hold it against her, he actually compliments her for it and goes 'yeah it's fair that you'd rather be with someone else'.
The whole thing still was kinda shitty of her, but again, how would you feel in her shoes? It's the system that she was stuck in that encouraged her take such drastic measures.
