Replacement pillowcase: FINISHED.
I went with the hand of glory for a motif because it was thought to paralyze or put people to sleep, and what's better for a pillow?
This is the most beading I've ever done in a project and it was really satisfying.
The rhinestone trim though? A real nightmare. Hated it. Tedious. Awful.

Hand of Glory
Wondrous item, uncommon
This is the mummified hand of a hanged killer, cut from the corpse as it swung from a gibbet. A socket in the palm holds a candle, crafted using hair and fat from the killer’s remains.
Lighting the hand takes an action. It burns for 1 hour before its magic is spent. If the hand is snuffed out, deduct the time it burned in minutes (rounded up) from its total burn time.
While lit, the hand sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius. A creature that starts its turn in the candlelight must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw, unless it lit the hand. On a failed save, its speed becomes 0, held fast in the cold grip of an unseen hand. As an action, the creature can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
The effect also ends for an affected creature if it isn’t in the candlelight. Once the effect ends, or if the creature succeeds on its initial saving throw against this effect, it is immune to the hand’s magic for 24 hours.

(* I'm told my count may still be off a tad.)

I have no idea when I'll get to start my next big project so for now I'm replacing a worn pillowcase with a new one, using materials I already had lying around.

Linocut adventures continue: today I've cleaned up the Hand of Glory matrix, used twice as much of ink, and put a sheet of tracing paper between the baren and printing paper (ok, it's not THE printing paper but it's the paper I'm using for printing) - all of which seems to help.

Prompt #1152
The light burning at the dead thief’s fingertip flicked twice, casting a pale blue glow across the tavern walls.
Frozen in place, whether it be from fear or the relic’s power, every patron and worker could do nothing but stare at the hooded figure holding it. The hearth fire choked as if the hand’s power had a tangible grip on it.
