To get Crowley to realise just how much he cared now that Aziraphale was gone?? To force his hand?? So that they'd have to stay at Crowley's that night??

Or maybe for some completely unrelated reason

Edit: Even more! Aziraphale does not like the sound of music. Why would it be in his bookshop? Unless by divine intervention it miraculously got placed in the perfect spot to start the fire....

I'm still not over the fact that in the book, Aziraphale and Crowley are supposed to look 30 and 24 years old...

That's David in 1995 in The Bill and Michael in 1997 (not quite 99 like it's supposed to be) in Wilde.

Yes, you're right, *ob.vi.ous.ly* the end game of the continued story from the adaption of the book which contained, among others, the themes:

people are rarely ever truly good or truly evil, but just people

Heaven™ & Hell™, Good™ & Bad™, are just meaningless names for opposing sides

Two opposing sides often define themselves by the other and therefore would not really profit from vanquishing the other

friendship and even love can be found between the unlikeliest of people, even between enemies

only love - for your family, your friends, your enemy, life, the world, or even just a beautiful summer - can stand up to the hate that threatens to destroy the world;

the end game of that story, which is adapted by one of the original authors because in 25 years they couldn't find anyone they trusted enough to bring their original messages across;

the end game of that story, which just this last season had the two main protagonists, who famously started out being one character, btw, and around whose love story the whole show is actually structured, celebrate the concept of "shades of grey";

of course the end game of that story is to reveal that one of their two main protagonists is actually very Bad™ and only the other one is truly Good™ and their 6000 Years Of Love have never been real and are meaningless.

Yes. That makes sense. Great media literacy, 10/10, no notes.
