Satoru had been away for the past week on a mission that had been meant to last two days.
He stepped into the house, expecting to be welcomed by you and your son Kaito at the door, but he was met by complete silence.
All the lights in the house were off except for the one in the living room and the kitchen. He walked into the living room and saw his son Kaito seated on the couch facing the tv which was playing whatever cartoon it was that he was obsessed with recently. He was in his dinosaur onesie and was hugging his monkey plushie tightly against his chest.
“Hey buddy!” Satoru said, walking to Kaito with his arms open, ready to give him a hug, but the seven-year-old looked up at his father with sadness coating his features before he got up and ran to his room, slamming the door behind himself.
To say Satoru was confused would be an understatement.
He slowly walked into the kitchen and saw you seated at the counter drinking whiskey…WHISKEY.
You only even drank whiskey when shit was getting deep, so now he knew for sure that something was wrong.
“Hey wifey, " he said in a soft voice, walking up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist, placing a kiss against your cheek.
“Mmm”is all you could respond to him, you didn’t even have the energy to respond to it.
“What’s up, and why is Kaito so upset?” he inquired, taking a seat next to you. You stared down at your drink ,swirling it slowly in your glass.
“Satoru, where have you been? Your mission was only meant to last two days.”
“Yeah, I know, but the mission ran a bit later and I also chose to stay back an extra two days after we finished just to make sure that there were no more curses left in the area.” he responded nervously, not sure where you were going with this.
“So, yesterday, and today, you were away…by choice?” you questioned in disbelief.
“Y-yeah, um…why?”
“Satoru, what promise did you make to your son? What day was it yesterday?”
He was so lost, he was trying to wrack his brain and remember wha- oh. Oh Fuck.
Oh no. No No NO NO NO NO NO!
How could he forget? How the fuck could he forget?!
Yesterday, all the kids in Kaito’s class were meant to come to class with their dads, and Kaito asked Gojo if he would be able to make it, and he promised he would.
“Satoru, Kaito waited, and waited, and waited, and you didn’t show up. All the kids in his class started making fun of him, telling him that you didn’t even love him enough to show up. Satoru, he was crying for HOURS! And he hasn’t spoken to me, or anyone else the whole day. And you didn’t show up BECAUSE YOU FELT THAT DOING A JOB YOU WEREN'T EVEN ASKED TO DO! WHAT THE FUCK GOJO!?” You screamed, eyes tearing up as you lost your patience with your husband.
Shit. Words couldn’t even begin to cover how much Satoru HATED himself right now. He was actually an awful father. He was speechless. He couldn’t even move, and his breath was stuck in his throat.
“Please, go talk to  him, he needs it.” you said softly, patting his back softly, before making your way to bed.
Satoru could feel his eyes begin to sting as he was beating himself up. He could only imagine how Kaito must have felt. He had to go through all of that because of his stupid decision.
He slowly made his way to his son’s room before knocking on the door gently.
“Kai, it’s daddy, please I come in.” he said softly.
No answer.
He opened the door and saw a sight that absolutely broke his heart. Kaito was sitting on his bead, with his back against the wall, facing the door. He had brought his knees up  to his chest and he was clutching his monkey plush as hard as his tiny fingers could. But his eyes were bloodshot and he had tears steadily flowing down his face as he sobbed softly.
“Buddy,” Satoru’s voice broke as the buy completely broke down and started wailing uncontrollably.
Satoru ran to him and pulled him into his chest, hugging him tight, as he felt his own stray tears flow down his cheeks.
“I love you so much, buddy, and I’m so so so sorry.” He kept on apologizing over and over again, until Kaito had cried himself to sleep. He  slowly tucked Kaito into bed, before kissing his forehead and leaving the room.
He slowly dragged himself to your room, closed the door behind him before sliding down with his back against it. You looked at him and made your way to him as he broke down. He clutched you with his all as painful sobs racked his body.
He was beating himself up for being a horrible father and you tried to console him but nothing seemed to be working. He wanted to be a good father, and a good husband but he couldn’t even seem to do that.
How was he meant to be the strongest when he felt so weak?

pixie says: it’s here. this took so long because i was determined to get it just right, since this will be the final ‘pixie’s canon’ chapter of family formations (there will be more extra chapters and side stories, don’t worry! our fav family aren’t going anywhere yet). as always, mdni. request open.

“Akio, baby! Come put your shoes on!” You call into the playroom where your almost 3-year-old son sits playing with his toys. He toddles out toward you, bright smile showing off his tiny pearly teeth and bright blue eyes gleaming with excitement. He sits on the floor and pulls his white and blue sneakers onto his feet (the wrong feet, but you’ll fix it for him). You try to comb the mess of his wild, snowy white hair into a bun but eventually resign yourself to the fact that taming it is impossible.
“Mama, we go party now?” He asks.
“Yeah, baby. We’re going to see Yuuta for his birthday! Are you excited?” You say, slipping on your own sneakers (they match your sons).
“So so excited! Will there be cake, mama?”
“Of course, there will, sweet boy! Okay, you ready? Yuuta’s present is in the car, let’s go.” You take his hand and load him and the bundle in your arms into your Land Rover. Your beautiful baby pink Cadillac sat in the garage, retired - it became a special occasion car after you realised the back seat couldn’t handle a car seat - an issue you never had with -
A thought you’d rather not go through with.
“Mama, Uncle soso be at party?” Akio asks from the back seat.
Of course - his focus is his beloved uncle soso. Not that you blame him.
“He will, baby. He’s expecting lots of cuddles.”
He squirms and squeals with excitement. Clingy, affectionate - just like his dad.
His father.
God, you miss him.
After a while of singing along to the music in the car, you pull up to the school. You spin yourself out of the driver’s seat and retrieve your son, the bundle, and the wrapped box from the back seat. He immediately runs off in the direction of the dorm common room kitchen without a second thought for his poor mother.
It’s okay though.
He’s safe.
He rounds a corner, and you see a pair of arms clad in black scoop him off the ground as he squeals and thrashes around, attempting to escape the iron hold of his captor’s arms.
“Lemme go! Lemme down!” He shrieks and giggles as raspberries are blown into his little belly.
“Never. You have been captured and the only way to be freed is if you tell me who your favourite person is.” The captor demands of the three-year-old.
“You! You, my favourite! Lemme down!” Akio giggles, now being held by the ankle's upside down.
“Well, you paid your ransom. Off you go - I gotta find my next target.” He sets the boy down and he immediately runs off, screaming for his uncle soso.
Then - the culprit sets his sights on you.
“Well, what do we have here? Hey there, pretty lady.” The man says.
“Hey handsome, come here often?” Your reply, batting your eyelashes.
“Oh, between 9am and 3pm on weekdays. You?” He smirks, flashing you a dazzling smile.
“Me too, but I have a few months off at the moment.” You wink.
“Explains why this place seems so dull without an angel like you to brighten it up.” He kisses the back of your hand.
“Well - I have more important things to be doing right now, I’m afraid pretty boy.” You smirk.
“Oh? What could be more important than working with a superstar like me?” He winks, wrapping an arm around your waist.
“Well, nursing said superstar’s child for one.” You laugh.
And with that, your husband laughs. Heartily and deeply happy sounds which warm you from the inside. He bends down so he’s face level with your neck.
“Hey cupcake, you got a smile for papa?” He asks, taking the bundle from your arms.
The bundle - being your 5-month-old daughter.
The baby gurgles in delight at the sight of her dad and smiles a gummy smile - her mood elevated because of her well-timed nap in the car.
“You look beautiful, princess.” He says, kissing your forehead.
“Oh, hush you, you’ll make me blush.” You giggle, but you will admit the blue ripped mom jeans and white cable knit sweater match your husband perfectly, and you always glowed around him. As for him, he doesn’t understand how you get more beautiful every day. When he says your car pull up, and you step out of it holding his baby girl in one arm and leading his little boy with the other - he thinks back to the day he saw you in the courtyard for the first time, all smiles, and shiny eyes.
After 12 years, countless battles, many stray kids, too many heartbreaks and carrying two of his children you still manage to knock the wind out of him by just existing. The pretty girl you were now a powerful, beautiful woman and every curve and inch custom made to drive him insane, especially the view of your jeans as you bend to fix your shoe (part of the reason he’s knocked you up twice). Your strength and courage, and pure devotion to the ones you love, and fiercely bold protectiveness drive him to the brink of madness with the weight of his love for you daily.
You on the other hand, watch your husband pressing kisses to your daughter’s chubby cheeks, as he wraps his arm around your waist and leads you inside. This man, who has almost given everything to protect you all, who has gifted you with a love so pure and whole that you almost lost yourself by almost losing him - you are one person. One without the other just cannot exist, two souls meshed to create a fortress of love, warmth, and happiness. Your eyes trace his face, as otherworldly beautiful as ever, eyes crinkled with a smile at the baby in his arms. His hair but your eyes. You think he’s only gotten more beautiful since you met, all those boyish edges sharpened into those of a man - a beacon of love, and strength. Powerful muscles (part of the reason you now had two kids by him) threaten to pop through his black T-shirt and you attempt not to drool, but he catches it anyway. Smirking, and whispering filthy things about how your ass looks in your jeans making him wanna find a babysitter and skip the party to have your own. You flush and nip his jawline, a promise for more to come later.
Just as you nibble his skin, a loud shout comes from the doorway.
“Hey guys! How are you?! I know I only saw you both yesterday, but I missed you guys!”
A shock of pink hair calls out, and before he can barrel toward you is held back by his collar.
“Chill out, Yuuji. You don’t even know if the babies asleep or not.”
The ever-present raven-haired boy pops up behind him, lurking in the shadow as always.
Your eldest son, your blessing.
“Hi mom. Do you want me to take her?” He asks, and you can see the eager glint in his eyes as he stretches out his arms to Gojo who has your daughter which you know, in Megumi language, means ‘give me the baby or I’ll sulk.’
Gojo is engaged with cooing over her with Itadori who you’ve come to realise is obsessed with babies. Your husband hands your son your daughter, who’s sitting up in his arms, and squeals when she realises it’s her oldest brother holding her, and you melt a little when she lays her head on his shoulder.
“Hey Lil 'miss. Will we go find our brother?” He says, walking off with her and Yuuji, leaving Gojo to take your hand and lead you inside too.
Yuuji has grown, with him being 18 that’s not surprising. His baby face is fading, skin now lined with scars - battle scars well earned by a brave boy. He’s still not as tall as his boyfriend, but he somehow got even more broad and muscly, this was evidenced when he was helping you with the baby's nursery and just… picked up the crib. With one arm. Megumi soon insisted that he and Yuuji were tired and going to his room to ‘bed’ that night, after that show of casual strength.
Megumi - your darling boy, well, man. 18 now and tall and long limbed as ever, all sharp corners and piercing eyes. The months after the culling games were tough, on everyone. But Megumi - he suffered deeply. The mental scaring of almost killing his dad, hurting you and the torture of being trapped inside a psychopath for weeks on end - and most of all, of being in the body that killed his sister. You moved him and Yuuji back into your house, Nobara too because as much as she enjoyed her new relationship with Maki - she couldn’t sleep without knowing the boys were safe and near. She felt immeasurable guilt for not being with Yuuji and Megumi early in the Culling Games and for the injuries that Yuuji saw her almost succumb to. She spent most of her week at the cottage, and the other few days with her girlfriend - healing together.
On the really dark nights, you and Satoru would wake to pained sobs - sometimes Yuuji, who would wake thrashing, and sometimes Megumi would wake frozen in fear. Many nights, they would wake to the same noises from inside your own room. You two had each other, and you tried to stress the importance of relying on each other to all the kids. Recovery wasn’t linear, but it could be helped with love and care.
There were a few nights, you’d wake to being poked by Yuuji, a solemn look on his face and in turn you’d wake up Satoru, you’d nod to Yuuji who would leave the room and come back with a bundle of limbs in his arms. Some nights, Megumi would get so frozen with memories that all he wanted was to be with you and Satoru - so like you did when he was a little boy, you put him in between you both and fell back asleep. You always offered to Yuuji to stay, and sometimes he did - but most times he would go and curl up beside Nobara in her room. He knew Megumi was safe with you two, so he would stay with his platonic soulmate - ever the protector.
Satoru’s wounds healed, leaving scars, pink and shimmering on his pale skin which you took care to kiss every night, grateful for how hard he fought to come home to you.
Two weeks after Yuuji killed Kenjaku, and everything was over - you, Shoko, and Gojo all stood together on the plot of land behind the cottage, a nice, secluded space under a Sakura tree.
The earth was covered in snowdrops, a black marble slate sat on the ground, with gold lettering.
here sleeps suguru geto, our very best friend and deeply loved dad.
You all cried, the three of you the surviving members of your school years. Yet, a part of it was sweet. Finally, after all this time - Suguru was home. He was back where he belonged, the birthplace of the reformation of Jujutsu society, with his family, who wordlessly accepted him and his two girl's home – where he was happy before the darkness became too much.
You three built a bench beside the memorial that day too, with a smaller memorial sign for the twins, they never had a surname – so you wrote them as Nanako and Mimiko Geto. It had been years since you or Satoru had seen the girls, and even then, only Shoko knew about that day. The day you texted his number thinking it would be blocked, two weeks after the village massacre, and after he left Satoru outside of the KFC. You told him you had clothes, shoes, and toys for the girls. Satoru could not face him, so you went alone, a secret kept between you and Satoru and Shoko. You met him and the girls in a nice, quiet park. Most of them were things from when you were a child, collected from your mother’s house (you think she knew). You played with the girls for a while, looking at Suguru with pleading eyes as you introduced yourself to them as their Aunty Y/N - a sign to him that this could be fixed, he could come him – the elders could be dealt with. You knew it was a failure before you said it. If your boyfriend couldn’t bring him home, then you stood no chance. He smiled at you, sadly but thankful for the unspoken offer. The girls didn’t need to hear the anger or the truth. When it got dark, it was time to leave. You said goodbye. The final goodbye, and you knew it. You said ‘goodbye, onii-chan' and he responded in kind, then left. You did not see him again until that day in the alley.
Now, here, at the cottage; Shoko could sit for a smoke with him, Satoru could come to annoy him and so you could bring his nieces and nephews to say hello. Scattering his ashes by the cottage the family congregated within only felt right. You asked him to watch over you all.
There was no shortage of funerals after the war.
You, Satoru, Akio, and Megumi held a private memorial in your home for Tsumiki. There was no body to bury - so you set up a small garden of all her favourite flowers in the grounds of the cottage where you raised her, where she made flower crowns and played with her brother.
After that - was Nanami. You and Satoru and Yuuji warped to Malaysia after his cremation, to scatter his ashes on a quiet, secluded beach. You all drank a glass of whiskey on the beach before it was time to go home. After clearing out his apartment, you found a spare of his tie and folded it, placing it in a box with a pair of his glasses and his favourite whiskey glass - and you handed it to Yuuji. He was so deeply loved, by all of you - but Yuuji was his student, his prodigy.
It was decided that since most of the old Jujutsu Society was gone, it was time to restructure. Utahime took over Kyoto, Todo and Noritoshi now acting as teachers. In Tokyo, the job of principal was between you and Satoru. You quickly told him it should be him, without question, and you would become the lead teacher. Shoko was offered a teaching position but quickly scoffed at the notion, saying corpses were still more her style. You needed another teacher, apart from you and Yuuta, who was still training under you part time. So, you and Satoru mutually agreed that a perfect candidate was one Choso Kamo, who hastily agreed, happy to be able to stay close to his brother. Hakari would occasionally pop in, help out for days - and took over for you on maternity leave. Jujutsu society would change now. A complete restructure.
A reformation.
The new higher ups consisted of Satoru, you, Utahime, Noritoshi Kamo, Yuuta, Maki and Toge said he would step up the the plate in a few years time.
Everyone knew what happened to the old higher ups. Everyone knew who killed them.
Nobody sought retaliation.
Nobody mourned.
In the present, you stepped into the room decorated yesterday by you and Yuuji. A big banner with ‘Happy 20th Birthday!’ Was hung on the wall, with cakes and cupcakes and lots of snacks laid across the dining table. Music was playing from Maki’s speaker, who sat frowning, but letting Nobara place a party hat on her anyway. Panda is sneaking a cupcake in the back corner, and you pretend not to notice.
You look around the room, delighting in the sight of your husband and Yuuji blowing up balloons in a competition of who can get theirs the biggest (they both burst). Megumi is sitting beside them, smirk on his face as he lets his baby sister play with his long fingers and use them as a teething chew. You look around for Akio, who had sprinted inside to look for his ‘uncle soso.’ It didn’t take long to locate him, but it wasn’t by sight but rather by a delighted squeal and a giggle coming toward you.
“Mama! Uncle soso has sweeties! He say ask mama if I can share too?” A voice cries as it barrels into your leg.
You look toward the kitchen door and see a smiling Choso with a plate of mochi, looking fondly at the toddler on your leg.
“Okay, baby. Thank you for asking, and what do we say to Uncle Soso?” You say, picking him up to walk toward the favourite uncle.
“Tank you, uncle soso.” Your adorable little man says, holding his arms toward the man in signal of hoping to be transferred from your hip to his.
“You spoil that boy, Choso Kamo.” You say, not an ounce of anger in your voice.
“Maybe.” He smiles sheepish and shrugs, head peeking around your shoulder to look around.
“Are you looking for your goddaughter?” You ask.
“Where is she?” He perks up, and your reminded of a puppy hearing the word treat.
“Megumi has her. They’re with ‘toru and your brother.” You smile, giving him a kiss on the cheek as he walks toward the boys with Akio and the mochi in his arms.
A fatal mistake really.
He’s about to sit on a sofa with a plate of Mochi and two Gojo boys?
He won’t get any. But you think he’s okay with that.
After what you’ve come to call the war, Choso had become an indispensable part of the family. Loyal, kind, and caring - he fit in like a perfect puzzle piece. Easily making friends with Megumi (who he calls his brother-in-law), living easily as a comrade and trusted friend of your husband and easily melding into the baby brother you never had. Even though he’s about 120 years older than you.
When Akio arrived back in the country with your mother after the fighting had ceased, you and Satoru refused to let him out of your sight for weeks, Akio had protested but you had taken to having him sleep in your room until eventually you both felt safe enough to let the poor boy go back to his star-themed bedroom in peace.
That was until about 3am, when you woke up to the bedroom door opening and your husband coming in with a sleeping toddler in his arms. He needed him near, just like how he felt comforted by the soft snores coming from Megumi’s room. You said nothing, just smiled and scooted over so you wrap your little boy between you.
Megumi joined at 4am.
About 3 months after the final fight, you both put Akio to bed one night. Megumi had gone back to the dorms, recovering, and enjoying the idea of being just a student again. Satoru’s arm around your waist as you looked at his sleeping figure on his teddy bear print bedsheets. Wild white hair sticking in all directions a carbon copy of his dad.
“Princess?” He said, forehead on your hair.
“Yes, ‘toru.” You hoped he was going to say what you were also thinking.
“Let’s have another one.” He said, tilting your chin to look at him with those long fingers.
“Okay.” You smile and let him scoop you up and March you to your bedroom.
Six weeks later: there were two lines on the stick.
This time - Satoru hadn’t noticed. Maybe because his six eyes were still recovering, or maybe because the baby inside you had your cursed energy, so it just looked like yours. The day you did the test, you went to a bakery at lunchtime to grab some treats.
“I got some treats for breakfast tomorrow, since it’s a Saturday. Megumi is going out with Yuuji for breakfast, so he won’t be here.” You say, as Satoru comes back into the kitchen from putting Akio to bed.
You push the box toward him.
“Oh pastries! Are these mine?” He asks.
“Eh! No! There’s one each.” You laugh at him.
“Well then there’s two for me, because there’s four. One for Akio, one for you and two for me!” He claps.
“No, ‘toru. There’s one each.” You smile, wondering when he will catch on.
“But ‘Gumi won’t be here?” He asks, puzzled and eager.
“We still need four.” You smirk a little.
You see him frown and the cogs turn in his head? One for George the Cat? No…
His head snaps up.
“Wait! Princess…?” He takes the kitchen in one stride and kneels in front of you, and you nod, smiling.
“Really? You’re sure?” He asks, staring at your belly.
You think now is time for the best pun of your life. You reach into your pocket and take out the test.
“Positive.” You giggle, tears lining your lashes - and Satoru’s too.
He leans his head into your belly, tears soaking your shirt.
7 and a half months later, you went into labour during movie night. Megumi insisted on coming to the infirmary with you and Satoru in case anything happened. Yuuji and Nobara were on a mission, so you picked up your phone.
It barely rang once.
“Hey, Cho. We um… need a favour.” You speak.
“Is everyone alright?” The perpetually sleepy voice asks.
“Yeah, it’s just we need someone to watch Akio… I - um, well the baby’s coming.” You say, wincing through a contraction.
You all drive to the school, where Shoko is waiting to deliver your second child and Choso comes running out of his on-campus staff apartment, scooping up your son who was delighted at getting to see his Uncle Soso.
13 hours later, there was life.
New life. A beautiful, vibrant, fresh life. A beautiful little girl, perfect and tiny with a shock of pale white hair.
She cried. You cried. Satoru cried. Shoko cried.
Megumi went to collect Akio, and you asked him to bring Choso too after you and the baby were both cleaned up.
The toddler barrelled into the room, Megumi behind him.
“Baby sister! Baby sister! I want my baby sister! Oh, hi mama and papa, move - I want to see sister.” He mumbles - mind singularly focused on what he had been waiting for.
You laughed, and Satoru too. Megumi shrugged, after planting a kiss on your cheek and asking if you were okay (still a mama’s boy even at 18).
“It’s a joint sentiment.” Your eldest agrees with the bouncing toddler.
You scoot over on the bed, and Satoru (teary eyed) places a bundle into your arms. Megumi gingerly sits beside you on one side, and Satoru scoops Akio onto his lap on your other side.
“Boys, we’d like you to meet your baby sister. This - is Mirai.” You smile at them, both looking equally entranced.
“She’s… so tiny, and so pretty.” Megumi whispers.
“Papa - is she sleepin’?” Akio whispers.
As if on cue, the baby opens her eyes.
Akio gasps, looking to his dad for permission to get closer. Satoru nods with a note to be gentle with sister and mama. Your usually boisterous boy crawls to sit on your lap, putting his hand on his sisters.
“Hi baby sister.” He whispers. “I brother. Big brother. Like ‘Gumi my big brother. I keep baby sister safe, and will play with you, and let you have snacks and give you hugs and kisses. I Akio, but mama and papa call me Kio lots. They all things that ‘Gumi and Uncle soso say big brother do, and they are bestest big brothers to me and Jiji. (The name he has for Yuuji, who adores it).’
Holding your little girl in your arms, with all three of your boys looking at you both with so much love - you think that everything was worth it. For this moment, for this feeling and for this family. Every wound, every fight - it was for them. Everyone you lost, you know they’re looking at you all now from wherever they are and smiling and vowing to keep this family safe.
“Is Choso here?” You ask Megumi who has gingerly been passed the baby by Satoru.
“He’s outside, he wanted to wait until he was invited in.” He whispers, not sparing a glance at anything but his little sister.
You turn to Satoru, who nods and goes to open the door and usher the other man in.
You both placed the highest level of trust in Choso. Satoru being eternally grateful to the man for holding you back from running to his injured body when he fought Sukuna, for caring for Yuuji in his darkest days, for being a pillar of strength and support when you both needed it. For you, you felt like the support and friendship, and recognition as Y/N and Satoru that Choso gave you - not just the Six Eyes and the Dryad - was priceless. Plus - he’d never seen a newborn baby. He didn’t even know how babies were born. You and Satoru had to teach him a lot.
“Hi Choso. Thank you for minding this little squirt.” You say, nodding to Akio.
Choso just stood, speechless and slack jawed.
It reminded you of Yuuji when you first showed him an ultrasound of Akio.
Brothers.
“Uncle soso - this is baby sister! Look! She has fingers!” Akio says, crawling across you to point at the baby in Megumi’s arms.
He says nothing.
“D’ya wanna hold her, bud?” Satoru says, smiling at the dumbfounded man.
He just nods.
“Okay - arms out, keep her head secure.” Megumi says side eye and smirk to Satoru as he parrots the words his dad said to him when Akio was born.
The little girl is placed in Choso’s arms.
“She’s… so small.” He speaks.
“Takes after her mama.” Satoru says, kissing your head.
“Everyone is small to you, Jack the beanstalk.” You roll your eyes.
That day, you asked Yuuta and Choso to both be Mirai’s Godfathers. Choso silently took on the uncle role with Akio too - who had lost his own godfather not so long ago, his beloved Uncle Nanamin.
The door to the party room opened, too early to be the birthday boy and the sound of heels clicking alerted you to snap your head up.
“Koko!” You say, running and throwing your arms around you best friend.
“Jesus, you’re almost as bad as Sator - OOF.” Her complaint was quickly cut off by a white haired, 6ft5 man barrelling into her and shouting ‘Yay, Shoko!’ and no less than 5 seconds later her knees were encircled by smaller arms attached to a boy shouting ‘Aunty Koko!’.
Shoko resigns herself to being smothered by the Gojo’s and just huffs a hello.
“Mirai, Megs, you’re the best of the bunch.” She shrugs toward Megumi who’s still holding the baby.
“We love Aunty Koko! Don’t we, ‘kio?!” You and Satoru encourage.
“Aunty Koko!” He parrots, nuzzling her legs as she ruffles his hair.
“Alright kid, I love you too. Satoru, put this on the table.” She says, unceremoniously throwing a box terribly wrapped toward him.
She plonks down on the sofa with Megumi and Choso.
“What’s this, the emo convention?” She smirks and you, Satoru and Yuuji just burst out in hysterical laughter.
Nobara’s voice calls out.
“Guys! They’re here, they’re just pulling up now. Gojo-sensei, find somewhere to hide that you can fit!” She frantically shouts, dragging Maki into a corner with her.
You grab Megumi and Mirai, falling behind the kitchen door where Akio is in Satoru’s arms, both giggling.
The lights are turned off, and you can hear voices muffled from outside the door before it swings open.
“SURPRISE!” You all shout and sing, much to the alarm of the birthday boy who also screams.
“Oh my god! What is this?! What are you all doing here?! Toge, did you know about this?” Yuuta spills.
Toge just shrugs and smirks.
“Happy birthday, Senpai!” Says Yuuji, before almost breaking every bone in Yuuta’s body with a crushing hug.
“Happy birthday, Okkotsu.” Megumi nods, with a small smile and a bro hug.
“Happy birthday, shrimp.” Maki says, hugging her best friend.
“Happy birthday, Okkotsu! Your gifts are on the table!” From Nobara.
You, Satoru, the kids, Shoko and Choso watch as all the students clamour to greet the birthday boy before he somehow manages to make his way over to you all as Yuuji begins to dish out the immeasurable amount of food he’s made for the occasion.
“Sensei? Y/N? The babies too?! Hi babies!” He greets with a wide smile.
“Happy birthday, Yuuta!” Gojo says, wrapping him in a hug and picking him up off the ground.
“Happy 20th, honey.” You say, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Happy birthday Yuuta!” Says Akio from Choso’s arms, where he doesn’t stay for long as he launches himself at Yuuta.
Mirai is babbling in your arms, and you presume she shares the sentiment of her big brother being an eerie mixture of her parents,
“Happy birthday, kid. Enjoy your 20s.” Shoko says, with a wink.
“Thank you, guys, this is amazing. I went to the arcade with Toge and I thought that would be that no wonder he insisted on playing more dance dance revolution!” He laughed.
After cakes had been eaten and candles blown out, gifts unwrapped and games won - everyone was sat around the room, about to watch a film.
Mirai was asleep on her dad’s chest, curled up with his arm supporting her. You were tucked into his other side, as he pressed kisses into the crown of your head. Megumi had his arm around Yuuji on your other side as he lay his feet on your lap. Nobara and Maki were cuddled up on the armchair, with Toge resting his head on Yuuta’s lap on the floor below. Akio had insisted on sitting with Uncle Soso and Aunty Koko on one of the other sofas, as he ate some cake.
You sighed and smiled, looking at the raven-haired boy, now all grown up on your left - happy, healing, safe and in love. He’s a man now, he’ll be 19 in just under a year and you find it crazy to think that was the age you and Satoru were when you adopted him and Tsumiki.
You look at Akio, curled into a blanket between his aunt and uncle, Shoko on the verge of sleep and Choso smiling at whatever nonsense Yuuji was talking. Your youngest son, your sweet copy of Satoru. You say all the best parts of you both in him, all bravery and kindness and endless love with added strength and loyalty, and every inch as clever as his elder brother too. His Snow White hair is long, tied in a little bun on top of his head and his bright, shiny blue eyes a copy and paste of his dad’s.
Then, there’s your little girl. The life brought into this world reigniting hope and joy in so many lives. The fruit of what you all fought for. Her chubby cheeks, rosy with teething snuggles into her father’s broad, strong chest as she drools all over him as she sleeps soundly. Where Akio is a Mama’s boy, Mirai is her papa’s girl. Her white curls are framing her perfect little face, with matching lashes laying across her sleeping face.
Then, there’s him.
Akio and Miria’s papa.
Megumi and Tsumiki’s adopted dad.
The new principal of Jujutsu High.
The man who shouldered the world for love.
Your husband.
Your soulmate.
Your ‘toru.
The light, love, and joy in your life since you were 16 years old. The man who you fall deeper in love with every day and the second part of your soul. Your heart, your lover, the fire in your veins. Two adopted kids, many unofficial kids and two copies of you both later, you’re both still here. Fighting your way to each other and for each other, and side by side building bonds deeper than gold. The sexiest, most beautiful man you have ever imagined existing. The love of your life. The way he looks at you, still flusters you.
You catch his eyes. 14 years, and a lifetime more.
He looks at you. His wife, his best friend, the missing piece of his heart. The most beautiful, hottest girl he’s ever seen with all his six eyes, the mother of his children and his right-hand woman. His rock, his crutch, his confidant and partner in crime. The woman he would shoulder the earth for. The new main teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu Tech. His love grows every day for you, something he didn’t think was possible. His princess.
You whisper you love him.
He replies he loves you too.
You were all chatting as the movie loaded, waiting for it to buffer.
“When the fuck is movie starting?!” Came a tiny voice.
All heads snapped to Akio, hands on his hips, staring at the screen.
“Who taught our son to swear?” Gojo breathes, holding back a laugh.
“Fuck’s sake.” You mutter, smiling - without thinking.
“Fuck’s sake.” Akio mimics.
“Ah, shit.” Gojo groans.
“Shit.” Parrots the toddler.
“Well, jury’s out but I think it might have been his parents.” Megumi smirks.
The room bursts into raucous laughter, and amidst it all the movie starts.
It serves as background noise, a lullaby, a point of focus. A family made of many mismatched pieces - a pool of trust, of reliance, of hope and comfort - created and moulded in the image of a couple, of two sides of one coin, two halves of one whole: her ‘toru. His Princess.

the navy blue sky starts to brighten into an early morning azure, the sun's rays peeking from behind the city's buildings, just as you knock on the hollow metal door at the back entrance of the hanami ninth night club. the routine clicks of the locks follow shortly after and you're welcomed with a tired, if not slightly hung over, smile from shiro. even this early in the morning he’s dressed in a brown suit that’s a bit big on him, his dark brown hair slicked back and smoking a cigarette.
this was how he looked every time you came by, you swear his suit was the exact same too, but this morning in his slouched, bloodshot eyes, he looked particularly haggard.
“you’re one of my more demanding business partners, you know that?” he says, blowing smoke from his cigarette to his side before tossing the still burning bud on the ground and stomping it out with his shining designer shoes.
“you complain yet answer every time i come knocking,” you retort, holding back your smile, knowing this is just how he was with you.
the morning air that’s not quite warm enough for the t-shirt you’ve chosen to wear lingers on your exposed skin as he flips through the cash you hand him. he knows you’re good for it, you’ve been doing business with him for over a year now and you’re not about to ruin it nor are you dishonest by nature. but you know it’s just routine and wait patiently.
he pockets that cash and steps closer inside, leaving the door open so you can hear him while he grabs your things. “don’t get it wrong, i like doing business with you little lady,” his voice muffled as he moves further back into the club. “you may only be a small time customer but even still, your business is appreciated. even if it means gettin’ up this early on a saturday morning,” he return with the wooden crate full of goods. “here you are,” gently he places the box into your arms ensuring you can support the weight before letting go. “see ya next week?”
you smile and nod, shift the crate to sit more comfortably, “see you then. thanks again shiro.”
he waves goodbye as you turn around and begin to head back into the main street. it’s not far to your destination and you take your time enjoying the early saturday morning that brings a normally unseen beauty to this side of the city. the dozens of small locally owned shops around this area are at least an hour away from opening and the streets are almost empty aside from the handful of early risers taking leisurely walks and the coffee shop that has the sweet, nutty aroma of their specialty coffee lingering in the air. it wasn’t so bad getting up this early when you got to take your time enjoying the little things like this, if anything it helps you prepare for what would be another busy day. the calm before the not-so-bad storm.
and yet, a storm nonetheless.
as you round the street corner, you support the heavy box with one arm and your hip as you search through your bag for your keys. wallet, chipstick, receipts from the grocery store, loose change but no keys. you make a mental note of how messy your bag is since it’s nearly impossible to find what you’re looking for. just as you’re about to put down your things and dump out the contents of your purse on the sidewalk your fingers find the keyring-
“getting into trouble, are we?”
you nearly jump out of your skin at the sudden and unexpected voice from behind you, almost dropping the box and your found keys barely hooked onto your index finger in the process.
with a racing heart you try your best to think clearly, were you about to be caught? get arrested? god dammit, you knew you shouldn’t have gotten so comfortable with this dealing just in case you were caught in the open like you were right now.
“did i scare you? sorry about that, sweets.” his teasing tone doesn’t say he’s actually all that sorry.
in your hurry and the sudden fright you hadn’t registered the voice of the man behind you but the nickname is a dead give away. and now that you think more about it, who else would meet you here this early in this morning if not your number one customer?
“good morning satoru,” you greet, unable to hide the shakiness in your voice or the fact that your heart rate has not gone down since he made his appearance. you swore it was echoing in the quiet street, only growing louder when he comes into your view, his figure towering over you.
“what’s got you so jumpy?” his dark sunglasses may hide his playful eyes but you know it’s there and see that the smirk on his lips is devilish. “doin’ something you shouldn’t be?”
your breath hitches and slightly paranoid thought passes through your mind, making you fill with guilt and worry.. did he know?
“haha, i don’t know what you’re talking about,” you reply but god you barely even believe what you’re saying. “i’m just trying to get to work and you show up out of nowhere,” not that it’s an actual complaint and you don’t sound the least bit mad. you liked seeing satoru very much.
he's got the looks of a man chiseled by the delicate hands of the gods themselves and it doesn’t help that he wears gorgeous, perfectly fitted suits and ties that bring out his already breathtaking cerulean eyes from under his snowy, messy undercut. he may be the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen.
he lifts an eyebrow, no doubt questioning your odd behavior and a little convinced you really were doing something you shouldn’t be but when he smiles wider, almost like he knows your secret or knows he’ll pry it out of you, you think you would spill it if he asked.
“you’re a terrible liar,” satoru says through his smile and takes the box from you, standing behind you as you unlock the doors to your little bakery and follows you inside.
you don’t mind him coming in before the bakery is open, it's not the first time and you're sure it wouldn’t be the last. it was a few months ago he wandered in dressed in a similar black suit that he’s wearing today and ordered one of everything you were offering. he's come in almost every day since then and spent enough money that his funds alone could pay for the rent on the shop but truthfully, even if he didn’t spend a small fortune here, you enjoy his company more than you’d like to admit out loud.
satoru places the box down next to the cash register and leans against the counter, silently watching you tie your apron over your light blue jeans and black shirt, preparing for the weekend morning rush.
aside from miwa, who was god sent working the front of the bakery, you basically run this place by yourself. you baked, you bought supplies, you balanced the books and dedicated your life to this bakery. a dream you shared with your parents once, one you hope they could be proud of had they survived that fateful day.
“tell me, what were you up to this morning?” satoru questions when you come to open the box from the opposite side of the counter. you pretend the shimmer of his beautiful eyes don’t affect you as he pulls down his glasses and flashes his baby blues at you, batting light lashes to try to get it out of you.
you can feel the heat rising to your cheeks under his flirtatious gaze, your heart hammering under his attention and his playfully sweet tone that might get any person to spill their secrets. “i told you - nothing!”
your denials are not convincing even to your own ears and his devious expression, still partly hidden by his dark glasses, told you he wasn’t believing a word you were saying but he knew he was close to getting what he wanted.
he was right before, you are a terrible liar.
“you can trust me,” he adds and your heart lurches like it believes him. “i won't tell. i’m just curious about what kind of trouble you’re getting yourself into,” he smirks, pulling off his glasses entirely, leaning in closer to you.
you can feel the butterflies from your stomach in your throat as you find it hard to speak with his scent filling your nose, his warmth palpable but still so far away. it's not fair, you think, he knows just how to fluster you and ever since you met him he’s been shameless in doing so.
what started out as compliments you thought was just him being nice, or just enjoying your baking, had turned into intense flirting starting after he showed up as you were locking up one night about a month ago and pleaded with you that he’d pay anything for whatever you had left over from the day. just as you do now, you found it impossible back then to say no to his charm and ended up spending the whole night at the shop talking over cake and mochi.
“come on sugar, tell me.”
“fine!” you break your gaze away from his and focus on the box, hoping you're hiding your burning cheeks well. after you’ve opened the box you grab his hand, putting the contents he wanted to know so badly about in his palm.
his mouth opens slightly, eyebrows knitting. “a mango?” he questions, looking between you and the fruit in cute confusion.
“yes, a mango that could get me into some trouble. it’s imported from africa, but it’s against customs so i buy them and some other fruits and sugars.. illegally,” you whisper the last word as if someone might hear you even though the shop is empty besides the two of you.
satoru chuckles in amusement but to your surprise, he doesn’t tease you. “why all that trouble for a mango?”
“for someone who eats the goods i bake almost every day you should be able to tell the difference from the other fruits i use versus other places you’ve been,” you tease, taking the fruit from him. “these mangoes are sweeter and creamier than ones you would get here. i’m hurt you can’t tell the difference,” you clutch onto your chest dramatically.
without skipping a beat, he says in an oddly serious tone, “i thought it was because you make them that they taste like that.”
it’s as if your heart is doing somersaults in your chest as you stare at him. god dammit, why did he have to be so adorable and handsome? you might be more happy about it if you knew he wasn’t like this with every pretty girl and handsome man he sees. you’ve seen it first hand with some of your other customers. it didn’t stop you from indulging a bit. his attention is nice and harmless flirting never hurt anyone. right?
the chiming of the bell above the door breaks the trance he had put you in and you’re thankful for the interruption before he was able to poke fun at your flustered state or see the crush you had on him written all over your face.
“morning miwa,” he greets your assistant and only employee.
miwa has gotten quite used to satorus presence in the bakery as well. not long ago she insisted that you should go out with him despite his flirty nature. ‘he’s so beautiful. i bet he’s strong too,’ she sighed dreamily before going on about how she could never go after him, as her heart was already spoken for, and you have his attention so you must go for it.
easier said than done miwa.
“morning mr. gojo,” she replies, pumping her light blue eyebrows at you when she passes by, as if to say ‘go for it girl!’ before disappearing into the back to clock in and get ready to help with preparations for the morning rush.
you roll your eyes at her and turn around to return to your own preparations.
satoru watches intently as you cut mangoes, mix dough, run into the back to place things in the oven and get the display case ready simultaneously. he’s sat and watched you prepare for the morning rush a few times by now but you still find the time to talk with him, admire him as he texts on his phone but quickly pull your gaze away when his eyes find yours, and reply to the other questions he has about your illegal activities.
where are you getting them from? you sure they’re trustworthy? how much are you paying? is this the only dealer you’ve worked with? and the questions go on and on.
“i thought you said you were a businessman, not a cop.”
you try to play it off innocent but a part of you is worried that maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to tell him. you trusted shiro and whatever means he used to procure your imported goods and you know better than to tell anyone of him or what he does for you.
he hasn’t said it out loud but you’re not naive. your little deals are only small time compared to his normal business but he didn’t need anyone looking into him for any reason. you weren’t about to get in the middle of that or find out what the consequences might be if you did.
“i’m no cop,” he answers with a sneer. “just looking out for you, don’t want you to get ripped off.”
a small ‘oh’ comes from under your breath and you avoid his eyes. were you being too paranoid? maybe but you’d rather be safe than sorry in situations like this. after all the effort you put in for this bakery; all the money, sweat and tears you poured into this shop and your treats, losing them wasn’t an option.
truthfully you don’t believe he is a cop and feel the truth in his words when he says them, though you aren’t sure exactly what it is satoru does for a living but it’s better you not tell him of shiro.
“i appreciate that,” you mean it honestly despite your defensiveness before. “i shouldn’t say more though..” satoru may be attractive, easy to talk to and affecting your heart more than you want him to but indulging his curiosity to the full extent was not something you could do this time around.
the phone in his pocket begins to ring before he can reply. relief, you’re thankful to end this conversation quickly before he can press more.
he motions with his finger to give him a moment and turns the other way to stand closer to the door of the bakery. you focus your attention on the dough in front of you but it’s hard not to listen in when the shop is so quite.
“what is it? … this early? ... k, be there soon. … no, i’ll call him and we’ll meet you there.”
he doesn’t sound pleased when he hangs up and immediately goes to make another phone call but you don’t stay around to listen to what he’s saying. instead you slip into the back to get the pastries from the oven and put a couple in a to-go box for satoru.
he’s just getting off the phone when you return and searches his suit pockets for his car keys. “sorry sugar, duty calls.”
“as if i’d let you hang out here all day anyways,” you tease, coming around the counter to stand in front of him and hand him the togo box, stopping him when he reaches into the wallet. “it’s on the house today.”
his smile could melt your heart and it almost distracts you from the unreasonable amount of yen he drops into the tip jar; way more than what the treats you’ve packed for him cost.
“you don’t ha-”
“i’ll see ya later,” he gives you a wink before slipping his glasses back on and taking the bag from your with a brush of his fingers against yours, making his way out the door. “don’t get into too much trouble without me,” he calls behind him but doesn't look back.
you are trouble, you think, watching him leave and hating the disappointment you feel when his tall figure disappears into the distance as the bell chimes when it closes. you know you shouldn’t be falling for customers and especially ones such as satoru gojo at that- an undeniable flirt. you had your fair share of experiences with men like that in the past and normally stay far away from them but something about satoru has you unable to hold back and, even if it’s to your dismay, he knows just how to pull you in more.
honestly, he seemed rather shallow at first. nothing more than good looks, sweet words and money but the more time he spends around you the more mysterious and deeper he becomes, even still. you can tell he’s really dedicated to his work and works hard. he’s never said exactly what he did besides being a ‘businessman’ but plenty of times it called him away and each time he went without question, not without his dilly dallying. more than that, just today his comment about how he wanted to look out for you didn’t seem like the man you had first thought he was. he didn’t seem like the type to care about other people's business and if they’re being taken advantage of but you could tell he was honest when he said that, none of his normally teasing and playfulness behind his words.
“i don’t understand why you two haven’t gone out yet,” miwa breaks you from your thoughts, coming from the back with two large trays of jelly filled donuts, melon pan and other goodies to fill the display case with.
you sigh, overthinking about what could be if this were more than a little crush between a baker and her handsome customer with an insatiable sweet tooth.
would you say no if he asked? probably not. you doubt anyone says no to gojo. is it a good idea to go out with him though? you honestly couldn’t say.
it’s not that you were looking for commitment, being a small business owner took up most of your life and you were fine with that; living the dream you had since you were a child, fulfilling what you shared with your once complete family, meant more to you than falling in love. baking was the only love you needed; it didn’t leave and came in all sorts of different comforts.
you could always make something delicious that made people smile, that was a reminder of a bitter sweet past or a brighter future. like the first taste of a comforting treat after a long day or the familiar scent of a pastry shared by two lovers long ago. seeing those moments and more unfold because of what you baked was enough for you, it brought you happiness in its own way after so much of your own loss.
you aren’t even sure if you could handle a relationship, if it was in the cards for you, but maybe going out and sleeping with him, getting it out of your system would be the way to go. just maybe it would quiet or stop the bubbling feelings instead of you. or maybe it would make it worse.
but you’d be lying if you said you haven’t thought about what lies underneath those designer suits and you know satoru thinks he plays it cool when you wear small summer dresses or plunging necklines and tight pants but you’ve caught those cerulean eyes lingering on your figure more than once.
the other side of this dating coin was going out with him and ending up falling for him; getting yourself caught in something you didn’t particularly want to be a part of. it’s not that you couldn’t put in the hard work that relationships require, though it may be hard to find the time but for the right person you would give it your all. but was it worth the potential loss? could you even handle any more loss?
satoru didn’t seem like the type to settle down and you weren’t interested in playing games with a man who liked to play them exclusively. putting your heart out there for more than just baking was easier said than done but there was always the possibility your heart didn’t need to get involved, despite how unlike you that was.
a part of you wonders if your heart is already wading deeper than the ankle deep waters of those unbelieve blue eyes.
none of it even matters though because he hadn’t asked you out and it would be inappropriate for you to ask him out as the owner of an establishment he visits frequently...  or maybe it’s the thought that the rejection would hurt just too bad and then you’d likely never see him in your little bakery again, which seems much worse than the rejection, that stops you. your little flirtatious moments when he dropped by were enough, it didn’t need to be more. for your sake and his.
but a girl can still dream.

“i can’t believe we’re doing this shit right now. doesn’t he know it’s only eight in the fucking morning?”
“what the hells gotten into you this morning?” geto questions, tossing the black duffle bag into the back of the cadillac with a loud clunk and a slam of the door. there were no off hours with a job like this, both of the men knew that and accepted it, not that it stopped either of them from bitching every now and again but satoru was unusually irritated today. “you know the boss likes these things dealt with quickly.”
both men slide into the car, gojo behind the wheel and geto stuck with all the items left in the front seat by his companion. he tosses what he can in the back or sticks it in the center counsel but satoru can feel sugurus eyes on him the entire time.
he doesn’t look back at his partner as he turns on the car and puts it in drive. “there’s nothing quick about this.”
he knew suguru couldn’t argue about that. there was absolutely nothing quick about chasing someone that was already a full 12 hours ahead of you, even if you have good intel on where this problem may be. countless things could go wrong and there would be hell to pay if they couldn’t finish the job and bring back what was taken. not that he or geto are worried about that. they were chosen for this job because only they could see it through better than anyone else.
it makes gojo a little less sour knowing they asked him and geto to fix this little problem together since no one else was capable of handling it but he hadn’t had nearly his fill of asking about whoever it was his pretty little baker did illegal business with.
before he can think about his subconscious calling you ‘his’, satoru catches his companion opening up his white togo box full of an assortment of goodies and immediately puts the car back into park after not moving an inch. he wasn’t going to get a chance to stop for more treats while on this mission so he’d have to make them last and he wasn’t planning on sharing anyways.
“these are mine,” satoru reaches over and shuts the lid over sugurus fingers, moving the box to his lap aggressively.
“what? are you five years old all of the sudden?”
“shut up. she made these for me and i’m not sharing,” he reaches into the box not caring what he grabs out because no matter what it was it was bound to satisfy his craving.
bite sized mango turn over, and damn were these illegal mangoes good.
he can’t help but smile at the memory of you all sweet and guilty. worried over illegal mangoes. your innocence is so cute. he didn't know what kind of trouble to expect you to get into but that was not it.
gojo knows suguru recognizes the mochi and sakura leaf logo of your bakery, various boxes and containers were always in his apartment or car and gojos raved about your cakes and mochi like it was made of gold. he made geto try it so could he understand the craze from his best friend who has no impulse control and a sweet tooth from hell but satoru also knows he’s dropped plenty of hints he thinks you’re attractive as well so it’s no wonder he keeps going back.
“she makes them for everyone, dumbass. that’s her job.”
“i’m still not sharing.”

“a paloma and extra shot of tequila, please,” you order before your butt even hits the cushion of the bar stool.
slumping into the seat you close your eyes and let out a long exhale. it’s been a long and exhausting few days with miwa on vacation with her boyfriend, kokichi, and you running the bakery by yourself. she works so hard, puts in so much effort for your little shop so how could you say no when she asked for a few days off for a get away with her beloved? she was sweet enough to plan her vacation on weekdays instead of the weekend too so that you didn’t have to suffer the weekend rush by yourself.
you don’t remember the days before miwa being this busy and exhausting but business had grown a lot since then. it might be time to look for additional help but that would have to wait for another day when you could go through the shop's finances and see if you could even afford it on top of paying miwa what she deserves.
tonight, all you want is something stiff to help let all that stress slip away before you head home and get ready for another solo day.
the bartender puts your peach colored drink and shot glass in front of you without a word and walks to the other side of the island to attend to a couple who arrived right before you. you don’t come to the bar often, never really finding the time and not really having anyone to go with but when you do decide to come out by yourself, you always come to the light ox bar. it’s quiet and modern, playing all your favorite songs over the speakers and the bartenders are generous with their drinks, lowkey enough to wind down after a long day and it’s right in between your apartment and the bakery.
you quickly take the shot, the clear liquid burning your throat, though not unpleasantly, on the way down. oh yes, this was exactly what you needed before getting back to grind tomorrow.
“haven’t seen you here in a while,” a familiar deep voice comes from behind you after a few minutes of nursing your drink in silence, stewing over issues that you wish you could have left at work.
toji fushiguro, a man you met at this bar two years ago and have only ever seen at this bar. very handsome and equally mysterious. you know only 2 things about the man; his name and that he loves to drink whiskey.
at least those are the only things he’s confirmed about himself, you’ve speculated other things plenty. you don’t know his age; he’s older than you for sure but not quite old enough to be the age your father would have been and not quite young enough to be your brother. the scar on his face and his muscular build had you guessing he’s ex military or police but his personality doesn’t quite fit either occupation.
he’s not married or if he is he doesn’t wear a ring or say anything about his spouse. he ‘s hardly told you a thing. you don’t mind not knowing much about him though. he may say otherwise but you know he’s a decent guy. he’s been good company on some hard and good nights; scaring away a few unwanted suitors and listening to you rant or talk about whatever's on your mind but never judging you for it.
he’s been one of the only people you’ve opened up to about your past, your parents demise, why baking even matters so much to you.
“yeah.. the shop’s been keeping me pretty busy,” you admit, sitting up straight in your seat but not turning to face him. you stare into your drink, stirring the ice with the small black straw, watching the droplets of condensation soak into the coaster as he takes a seat next to you.
out of the corner of your eye you see him sip on the golden liquid in his glass and smile. “means business is good then, yeah?”
“it’s good,” you reply, though your tone doesn’t sound like you’re happy about it and toji quickly catches on.
he lets out a quiet huf, moving in his chair to rest his elbows on the glass counter top of the bar and looks over at you with dark emerald eyes. “you don’t sound too happy about that.”
i am happy about it.. right? you ask yourself while taking another sip of your drink. yes, successful business was what every business owner hoped for, what your parents hoped for. you had to be happy about that. what you weren’t happy about was the exhaustion, the long nights, the loneliness despite being around customers all day, the fact all you think and worry about is your business. baking was the way to get out of reality but it’s hard to feel like that on days like today when you didn’t have enough hands, money or time.
you force a half hearted laugh. “i am.. it’s tiring living and breathing business.. if i was able to just bake i’d love that but it’s everything else i don’t like. i don’t like having to worry about hiring people or about making rent on the shop or how to advertise or bring new customers in.. all that stuff, it’s not me.. not what i’m passionate about but there’s no one else to do it for me.”
you only ever do it because you have to in order to keep your bakery dream alive and normally you wouldn’t complain. responsibilities weren’t always things you were passionate about or loved to do, it was what you had to do no matter how you felt but it gets hard to put on a brave face when all you do is worry and stress about responsibilities, when it feels like it’s you against the world. you didn’t have anyone to lean on, no one to reach out to for help that didn’t require you to pay first.
you were.. alone.
as much as you don’t want to admit it to yourself, satoru provided you a small relief from all of this. he may not be able to help with the books and workload overwhelming you but he made you smile, made you laugh and loves your treats more than anyone else. it was a breath of fresh air in your busy work life to have him stop by, like a rest stop on a steep upwards hike where you can catch your breath and enjoy the view instead of worrying about getting to the top. he hadn’t been by the past few days though, not since saturday morning and, a little begrudgingly, you find yourself wishing to see him walk through the door and tease you to his heart's content. perhaps that’s got you in a bad mood too.
“too much responsibility for such a little girl?”
finally you turn to look at him with narrow eyes that shoot daggers into his side but it’s hard to stay too mad when you’re met with a smug ass look on his face. you playfully shove him in the arm and continue trying your hardest to glare at him but he’s got one of those smiles that rubs off on others and your toughness is broken though almost instantly.
“i’m an adult, alright?” a fact he already knows about you. “not some little girl who's too far in over my head.” though you're starting to doubt that slightly tonight. your business may be successful for now but maybe it was more than you could handle, more than you wanted to handle. were you ever meant to do this alone?
“anyone would feel like it’s too much if all they thought about was work,” he acknowledges and downs the rest of his drink. “sounds like you could use a break.”
“a break.. hell i’d even take a distraction just so i don’t have to think about it for a little while.”
you follow suit and drink the rest of your paloma in a few gulps, finally feeling the warmth from your first shot helping your body relax. a break, a distraction.. neither of those options seemed possible at a time like this. if you take time off you have to close the shop and then you don’t make money and then you can’t pay rent on the shop or your apartment or buy items you need or pay miwa. you want to cry just thinking about it. so many things relied on you working and trying to figure this all out. a few drinks before bed was the most of a distinction you could afford.
toji calls for the bartender and doesn’t say anything before he’s pouring tojis brand of choice whiskey and two shots of tequila. you sit in silence, feeling the alcohol warm your insides, and watch the bartender pour your drinks. you’ve always known toji came here a lot, every random time you’ve shown up he’s usually here but you’re still not used to how he doesn’t even have to order because they know him so well.
he slides you one of the shots and takes the other for himself, clinking them together before you drink them and put the glasses down in tandem. your worried, tired eyes don’t go unnoticed by him when you reach up to play with the ice from your paloma with a straw once more.
he leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other, his ankle on his opposite thigh, and washes away the taste of tequila with his whiskey. you can tell by the look on his face he’s not a fan of tequila and whiskey was not a great chaser but one shot wasn’t going to kill him.
“i could distract you,” he says too casually but implying too much for your liking.
your cheeks burn and you find yourself speechless under the gaze of his narrow green eyes through dark lashes.
“what? scared of me all the sudden?” he raises an eyebrow and the corner of his lips turn up ever so slightly at the embarrassment on your face. like he was enjoying this embarrassed side of you.
“no!” you say probably too defensively and definitely too loudly but somehow you get your voice to quiet and slow. “it’s not that..”
you aren’t even sure what it is, what’s got you tongue tied and excited at the same time. you know toji to be cool and straight forward, he radiates the confidence of a man who gets what he wants, does what he wants and doesn’t let anyone stand in his way. so it shouldn’t surprise you that he’d say something as bold as this, as casually as he did. maybe it's the fact you can’t believe you’re actually considering taking him up on his offer.
“then what is it?” he doesn’t wait for you to answer before he uncrosses his legs and leans in closer to you, one hand on the back of your chair, the other still holding onto his glass. he’s giving you space to get away, tell him no but you don’t. he smells of cedar and whiskey; and right now you find it more intoxicating than the liquor in your system. “worried i wont be nice? you should know by now, i’m not a nice guy.”
✧˚ · .
you don’t even make it past the entryway of your apartment before toji's lips, hungry and primal latch onto yours, traveling down your jaw and to your neck, his black hair tickling below your ear. the weight of his chest pins you against the door, his strong hands grabbing onto your ass and lifting your feet off the ground in the process. you take the opportunity to encase him between your thighs, feeling his hardening cock against your clothed core.
it’s impossible not to grind against his length but toji is having none of it, using his forceful grip to still your eager hips.
the cold air on your neck when he pulls away from your supple, reddening skin has goosebumps littering your body. his eyes are dark and focused on your every moment, down to the heaving of your chest and the hot air escaping your lips; a predator locked onto its prey.
“eagerness will get you nowhere with me kitten, you’d better behave.”
you nod in agreement, unable to get the words out of your mouth as you fight for breath. you’d listen perfectly if it meant he’d distract you.
his lips find yours once more and your hands make their way into his hair, tangling in the soft black locks more and more with each deepening of your kiss. with ease he supports your weight and carries you from the front entryway to your bedroom, following your breathless instructions between devouring kisses.
your body meets the mattress with force, your hair scattering behind you, your legs remaining open for him. you stare up at tojis face in the moonlight coming from your window. he doesn’t look like the man you thought him to be under the dark, silvery night; his figure towering over your much smaller body and his intense gaze sends a shiver down your spine and wet warmth between your legs.
his defined core and arm muscles ripple and flex as he lifts his shirt off of himself, relieving the unexpected mural that is spread across his entire chest and arms; tattoos of black clouds and flowers and in the center of it all, a large red snake baring its bloody fangs.
your eyes widen, your mind thinking of all the times in media you had seen art like this on others and you can feel your palms getting sweaty. what had you gotten yourself into? swallowing the saliva caught in your throat, you ask, “a-are you in the yakuza.. or something like that?”
“something like that,” he admits, looking down at his tattooed body and then back to you. “have you changed your mind? i warned you i wasn’t a good guy.”
despite talking and drinking at the same bar with him for a few years, you may not know much about him personally but you never thought or got the impression he’s put you or would put you in danger. it’s not like you were planning to date toji anyways, dating a mafia member was out of the question but fucking one didn’t seem like the worst idea you’ve had. who even knew if you’d even see him again after this and truthfully you aren’t sure it’s worth overthinking.
no, you hadn’t changed your mind.

“you wanna stay for dinner?” yuki asks gojo as they both find their discarded clothes on the ground and redress.
annoyance immediately fills satoru. she always asks and the answer is always no. why must she persist each time he comes over? he had meant to stop this little fling they had going on a while ago but each time after a hard time at work he found himself at her doorstep and in her bed; he just needed something to take the edge off, something to remind him he’s more than a man who’s only use is to eradicate problems and people for this family. more than a tool.
yuki had been apart of the family for years since her father is a higher up in the organization. she knows about his and satorus way of life and was happy to provide satoru some kind of release; after all she benefited just as much while in between boyfriends and lounging around until she was needed by her father.
and even when they did fuck, satoru wasn’t in a relationship with her and he never would be so why play pretend and sit together for a meal like a normal couple?
he looks behind him at her, watching her tie up her long hair into a ponytail from the other side of her queen sized bed. she raises an eyebrow at him when he doesn’t answer.
truthfully he is starving but whatever yuki could cook, or order because she doubt she does her own cooking, was not what he was craving. he needed something much sweeter after the day he had.
“not really,” he grumbles and returns back to buttoning up his shirt.
“well i guess i better tell you now then,” she smooths out her baggy sweater and looks at him with an expression that makes him wonder if she’s happy or upset.
god, if we were together you’d think she was getting ready to dump me, satoru thinks to himself, trying to anticipate what news she might be breaking to him.
“my father is discussing an arranged marriage to help strengthen the ties with the kusakabe clan so.. we should probably stop whatever this is,” she motions between them with her hand.
perfect timing. it’s much easier on him for her to put a stop to it anyways. it doesn’t come as a surprise that she’d be married off either. the relationship between the kusakabe clan and the gojo clan are in the beginning stages of a conflict that could stop their business together entirely. they’re getting more and more fed up with the treatment from the gojos but satoru knows it would be quite a loss if they were to cut ties entirely.
“fine by me.”
she walks him to the front door, giving him a smile when she looks between his legs and then back up to his face, as if to say goodbye to his dick because he highly doubts she’ll miss him all that much and he can say the feeling is mutual.
“know of any good bakeries nearby?” he asks with cold indifference.
she gives him a deadpan look.
“are sweets really the only thing on your mind right now? right after denying having dinner with me too?”
sure, things were supposed to be casual with him and gojo could admit she never tried to make it anything more than that, offering dinner was supposed to be casual he’s sure. satoru isn’t the kind of guy who you wanted to date anyways, she had to have known that upon first meeting him and since then he has no doubt her opinion on that has only grown stronger since they started this thing.
she punches him in the arm, “you ass. i thought you were going to give me some sweet goodbye.”
there’s only silence as gojo awaits the answer to his question. it’s not like he was never going to see her again, he’d probably be at her wedding along with the rest of the family.
she sneers in response to his silence, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. “there's one on the corner up the road. take a right when you get out of here and go up a bit, it’s by the park.”
unexpectedly to even him, he pulls her into him, blonde hair brushing against his ear with her tall height. a friendly hug and one that's reciprocated, though it may even be the first one they’ve ever shared.
“thanks for all you’ve done for me,” he says quietly, giving her a squeeze. “take care yuki.”
normally satorus body feels a little lighter after leaving yukis place but that isn’t the case tonight. even when he found himself balls deep he couldn’t shake the thoughts that plagued his mind. very rarely did he question his choices but tonight he wonders if he’s doing the right thing sticking with the family, following orders - albeit on his own terms - and doing everyone else's dirty work. did he even deserve a better life after all he’s done? at what point are you in too far and there’s no turning back, no second chance at happiness? since when did he even care? and most of all, had he doomed the others he brought into it thinking he was protecting them?
he doesn’t even know what happiness looks like at this point. he thought it was the money, power and rising through the ranks until he could have it all but the deeper he gets the more he dislikes it and is convinced this isn’t happiness and that no one, not even the boss, ‘has it all’.
it hadn’t always felt this bad and he’s sure tomorrow he might feel differently but for tonight, it keeps his shoulder slumped, hands bunched in his pockets and snowy hair covering his eyes as he walks down the street kicking rocks as he goes.
just like yuki said, on the corner of a strip of shops across from the park is a small bakery; pink sakura leaves and a small mochi emblem on the door leading inside. when another customer exits, the smell of vanilla and sugar fills the air around satoru and his stomach grumbles. he just might die if he doesn’t eat something sweet soon.
“welcome!” the blue haired girl behind the counter greets him before turning to help an elderly lady standing at the cash register.
it’s a cute little shop; small but manageable and easy to get in and out of. there are two tables and some chairs sitting by the big window with the shades pulled up, bringing in the lights in the street and from surrounding shops. a big display case is at the end of the counter white counter, some smaller display cases on both sides of the cash register, only a few more things of bread left in each.
gojo heads straight to the main display, not nearly as empty as the others but still telling of the good day you must have had. his eyes sparkle and his mouth waters at the tasty looking treats still inside. the purin looks beyond perfect; caramel glaze dripping off the top of the custard and onto the little plate like it was about to be a part of a magazine. assorted cookies, strawberry shortcake, dango and a little sign saying ask at the counter for mochi, with the flavors of the day listed.
“what can i get you?”
the friendly voice tears satorus attention from the baked goods and he’s met with the face of a woman that looks just as sweet as any of one of these treats. your sparkling eyes are illuminated by the lights of the display case, they are the most beautiful eyes he’s ever seen and your beaming smile is a sight for sore eyes; honest and kind. it helps him throw all his worries out the window, all that’s on his mind now is the pretty girl and sugary sweets in front of him.
everything looks so delicious, including you, how could he possibly pick?
“one of everything, please,” he says. he doesn’t have to say much to lay on the charm, he lets his eyes do most of that and it seems to be working.
your pink cheeks and surprised eyes only makes you look that much more adorable. oh, was satoru glad he made his way here tonight.
“e-everything?”
“everything,” he smirks. ✧˚ · .
satorus mouth waters just thinking about all the treats he ate that night while he makes his way to the bakery. he may buy one of everything again today since gas station candies were not cutting it for him these past couple of days while he was gone for work. nothing was the same as your pastries, no gas station clerk was as pretty as you or made him smile the way you did.
he couldn’t get to the bakery fast enough.
he also couldn’t be more disappointed about the line out the door once he arrives. this busy on a thursday in the early afternoon? he’s come by at this time before and it’s never been like this but he supposes he has no choice but to wait. as the line moves forward and he’s able to peek through the window he notices the shop is missing its blue haired cashier. you come from the back with a tray full of freshly baked cookies and an aura satoru swears he’s never seen from you before.
coming in as often as he did, probably overstaying more than he should but he couldn’t help and you never complained, meant that satoru got to see some sides of you most customers didn’t. he’s seen you frustrated and overworked, he’s also seen you in relief, amusement and content happiness. but even through all his flirting with you he’s never once seen the pleased smile that’s on your face today or the glow behind it; not even a little stressed with how busy it is and the fact you’re running things by yourself.
he’s seen this glow, this smile before - he himself has provided it to others - but he’s never seen it on you and it lights an unfamiliar, uncomfortable, feeling in his chest that he can’t swallow down.
it’s not necessarily that he was hoping you’d be sad in his absence. okay maybe he was, knowing you were missing him would boost his ego quite a bit. but he never thought he’d come back to see you basically illuminating the bakery in your after sex glow or that he would be annoyed about it.
you’re a grown ass woman. so what if you were having sex? why should that matter to him? you aren’t his girlfriend or even anyone he’s dating at all. it shouldn’t matter that he’s wondered before what you would look like underneath him or how pretty your face would be after he makes a mess of you. he made himself hold back because he wanted to keep coming back here and he knew if he fucked you and never asked you out again that would have to stop.
you haven't had sex yet because he made it so but that didn’t mean he wanted to see you like this because of somebody else. plus, he knows he could make you feel a million times better than whoever this guy was.
the line dies down as he walks in and he wonders if you spot him near the door behind others. either way, you are unable to give him your attention with the last dozen or so customers that remain in the shop waiting to be taken care of, himself being the last one. he approaches the counter just as the couple sitting at one of the tables near the window walks out, the door bell jingling behind them.
“hey satoru!” you greet with a smile that was somehow brighter than the one you had worn when he first saw you today. “it’s been a few days, i was starting to worry about you.”
so you were thinking of him in his absence? good.
normally he’d take off his glasses, showcase his ocean eyes but today he keeps them on, thankful the dark lenses would hide his deep stare that he’s trying to keep from you entirely.
like you were unsure if he heard your welcome, you try again and he catches the unsteadiness in your voice. “i’ve got some new cake i’ve been trying to perfect, it's german chocolate. want a piece?”
“you must have been getting lonely trying new recipes by yourself.” he can hear the hostility behind his words.
“i don’t really mind baking by myself,” you say and he watches you bite your bottom lip and look down before trying to meet his gaze again with more confidence, a flirty lace to your tone. “but having a taste tester is always better.”
a very unwelcomed image of someone else tasting you pops into his head.
“i’m sure,” he replies through a clenched jaw.
hurt is painted all over your face and he feels his chest tighten knowing he was the one that made it so but your expression, dropping down to his tie instead of his face, is quickly morphing into something more akin to shame and then confusion.
if he’s being honest, he’s feeling just as confused as you look.
satoru didn’t get jealous, he’d swear up and down he’s not even now and yet, the thought of you with someone else has his blood boiling. the thought that while he was gone another had your attention made him beyond irritated, left his heart beating out of sync.
what were you doing to him?
it’s not too late, he decides in the awkward silence permeating between you. after all he was satoru gojo; handsome, charming, funny and he already had you on his hook. he may have to stop coming by after making you scream his name in bed, he’s not one for second dates or these particular attachments, but it was worth it to satisfy this annoying sting in his chest and finally give into his desire.
he calls your name, bringing you from your own thoughts and when he finally looks at you without his glasses on, the way your eyes light up, a complete 360 from your previous expression when you were deep in thought, brings him to smile and leaves a comforting warmth pooling in his chest.
you were too cute and he couldn’t wait to eat you up, show you there’s no one better than him.
“may i take you out on a date this weekend?”

“Me? Hold him?” Satoru’s tone turns amused. He smiles, then nods. “Of course” He takes Hotaru from you, and the baby cooes in his father's arms. He’s so tiny, so delicate… so vulnerable. Satoru grins, staring down at the baby. He knows how precious this child is. How fragile. He wants to protect Hotaru with every means possible. As he looks into the baby’s eyes, he can’t help but see himself. He stares at Hotaru’s soft, sleeping face for a moment, his breath catching at the baby’s gentle expression. “He’s cute” Satoru murmurs, gently holding the baby to his chest. Hotaru, still groggy from sleep, rests his tiny head against his dad’s body as Satoru stares at his closed eyes, feeling a sudden urge to cry. "Don't tell me that you're gonna cry again" You said holding a chuckle, your husband was too cute for his own good. “Shut up.” Satoru whispers, his voice breaking and throat tightening, trying to hold back tears for the millionth time. “He’s so goddamn cute… I can’t…” His eyes are glistening, on the verge of tears, as they fall onto the sleeping baby in his arms. He laughs softly “God, you’ve got no respect for my feelings…” He chuckles again, wiping away the tears. Satoru sighs, wiping away any tears that threaten to appear. “God damn it… I’m just thinking of how adorable this baby is. Look at him” He leans down slightly and kisses Hotaru’s tiny forehead, making the baby move his head slightly without fully waking up. “His big eyes and cute cheeks, that little smile, the way he just looks at me…” Satoru seems lost in thought and awe as his gaze wanders again. “I could just eat him up" He suddenly looks up after realizing what he just said. He’s just said something that makes it seem like he’s planning to eat Hotaru. “No, not… literally. I mean it as an expression” He clears his throat, trying to salvage the situation “Damn it. Just… You know what I mean.” "jeez you're such a cutie when you acting like this? you really cant control yourself when you see Hotaru uh?" “Don’t make fun of me…” He mutters, trying his hardest not to laugh at the situation. There’s some kind of strange power within this tiny baby. He can make his dad turn into a mush so easily. Satoru chuckles slightly at the situation, feeling utterly defeated in the face of his kid’s adorable cuteness. Then Hotaru yawns as he woked up “Aw… he’s awake” Satoru grins at the tired expression on Hotaru’s face. “You were having such a cute sleep, little guy” He kisses Hotaru’s forehead again, causing the baby to smile slightly before his lips curl into an "o" shape and he lets out a soft yawn. Hotaru cuddles up to Gojo’s chest and snuggles deep against it, as if craving the feeling of warmth. Satoru looks down as his son buries himself in his chest and sighs. “This is your new favorite spot, isn’t it, Hotaru?” He whispers softly, kissing his head as the baby’s tiny face nuzzles into Gojo's chest with a tiny sigh. “Dadda…” Hotaru makes a small attempt to pronounce the word, the tiny voice coming out as a series of gibberish that nevertheless fills Satoru’s heart with so much joy his eyes glaze over. “You… You said it… You said it…” Satoru almost breaks into tears as he continues to caress the baby, holding him close to his chest.
"yeah! that's right that's your dadda" You said happily and stunned as you picked up Hotaru "and im you're mama can you say M-a-m-a?" Hotaru’s tiny mouth tries to form the word “mama” but fails in the process. His lips pucker and his face scrunches up as he tries to pronounce the word multiple times. “Ma.. Ma…” Hotaru tries again, but as he struggles, he gets flustered and lets out a series of unintelligible sounds, ending with a frustrated whine. Hotaru’s attempts at pronouncing the word “mama” only gets the little baby more frustrated. He continues to struggle at it, scrunching up his tiny face and letting out more frustrated whines.
Eventually, he buries his head against his father’s chest, almost as if he’s trying to hide himself because he’s embarrassed about failing. Satoru gives the baby a gentle smile as he holds him close to his chest, rubbing his back softly. He feels the baby tense up as he buries his head into his chest, but his smile only grows. “It’s okay, little guy. Don’t feel bad! You said “Dadda…” even if you’re not able to say mama just yet” He laughs, kissing Hotaru’s head as the baby tries to hide his face even further but Hotaru ends up wailing feeling frustrated and overwhelmed "oh no no no no baby" You said as you immediatly picked up Hotaru trying to make him calm down. Hotaru’s wails become even louder, as he gets overwhelmed by the entire situation. As soon as you pick him up, he latches on to your hands tight, burying his face against your shoulder and wailing even louder. Satoru’s eyes widen at the intensity of the cry. "do you have his pacifier with you?" you asked looking at Gojo and Satoru pulls the pacifier out of his pocket, having brought it with him to make sure Hotaru wouldn’t have any problems calming down.
He grabs the pacifier and gently places it in Hotaru’s mouth, and like magic, the baby calms down instantly and sucks down his pacifier quietly. Satoru’s lips curve into a faint smile as he watches his son calm down with ease. He breathes in and out, relieved that the baby stopped crying so suddenly. Hotaru snuggles against his mother’s shoulder, looking completely at peace with the pacifier in his mouth and his tiny arms wrapped around her neck. The atmosphere is filled with a sense of calm and contentment. Satoru watches the whole scene, a smile appearing on his face as he watches Hotaru cling on to your neck.
Your husband is deeply satisfied with how peaceful the environment suddenly became. He reaches a hand out to gently pat Hotaru's head, letting him know that everything was okay now. "he really wanted to say mama too" You spoke tenderly "don't worry Hotaru you will someday"
Satoru chuckles slightly, hearing your tender reassurances. "He'll be able to soon, don't worry about it." The baby has calmed down completely, completely content with sucking on the pacifier. Satoru stares down at Hotaru, who gives you a tiny smile and reaches out his hands to your face. "He really wants to hold your face..."
You leaned down so that Hotaru can touch your face with his tiny hands feeling your features as he cooed
Hotaru’s tiny fingers explore every curve on your face, making soft “oo” and “goo” noises the whole time. Satoru’s eyes narrow just as he watches the cute interaction between mother and son. “Yeah… He wants to feel your face. You’re really his favorite.” He smiles, as he watches Hotaru’s hands continue to explore your facial features. Hotaru continues to explore your facial features for a few more moments, making cute “oo” sounds of contentment as he goes. Then, he leans his forehead on your face, feeling your skin with his own head and letting out a sound that’s somewhere between a sob and a giggle. He rubs his little head against your skin for a few good seconds before pulling back and letting out a tiny yawn.
“Okay… He’s *really* cute…” Satoru laughs, watching the baby thrash around as his mother continues to tickle his belly with no regard to his feelings of mercy. You’re enjoying yourself, that’s obvious, because this is the first time you’ve smiled in days. It’s infectious, and Satoru is smiling as well.
"Gosh you're the cutest, just like your dad" you exclaimed tickling Hotaru belly and Hotaru laughs hysterically as his mother tickles him, squirming and waving his hands around in a futile attempt to escape. This only causes Satoru to laugh as well, watching with amused eyes as the child tries to avoid your teasing.
Hotaru finally gives up and lets out a squeal as his mother gives him one final tickle before she pulls away. He’s laughing hard, completely red in the face and breathless. His mother’s teasing has him giggling for several moments after the end of the tickling and he seems very content.
“He really is a bundle of joy, huh?” Satoru grins, looking at Hotaru with the warmest eyes. The baby’s smile is infectious, and it’s almost impossible to not smile as you look at the little bundle of joy and wonder at his cuteness.
“Yeah, he really is.” You reply softly, stroking the baby’s head and feeling him rest his warm body against your neck. The baby gives you a slight smile, as if he can feel your loving touch. Your son already has you wrapped around his tiny fingers.
“It’s almost like he already has our hearts wrapped around his hands already, isn’t it?” Satoru chuckles, watching your expression soften as you lovingly stroke your baby’s head. The two of you have a very different dynamic now, but the warmth of that connection won’t ever go away.

The enriching enthusiasm boomed out throughout your private abode.
You watched in beaming amusement through the open archway at the packed company.
Yuji laughed at what Megumi had to say which made the other smile; both close together on one end of the couch.
Nobara gushed over showing Maki upcoming winter attire releasing on her phone, to which the latter was intrigued, both also bundled closely on the other end of the couch.
Kento and Yu leaning against the wall, drinking apple cider as the latter rambled enthusiastically on their latest endeavor, while Ino popped in, praising a blushing Nanami on his caliber as his sorcerer icon.
Aoi clapping and weeping all up in the big TV showing Takada-chan's live performance in the themed parade happening down South.
Panda and Toge jumping in the leaf piles, a beaming Yuta swinging a giggling Rika around through the whisking leaves. Kamo sipped tea on the front patio as he watched the sunset.
Down the way, a car crossed by, with Shiu at the wheel and Toji eyeing the house with sharp ambivalence. Part of him missing his kids but accepting long ago that this is where they truly belong, nodding for Shiu to drive off.
A tipsy Shoko cuddling up with a blushing smiling Utahime in the hot tub on one end and Mei lounging and sipping on cider on the other end with Ui holding her bagged gear and waiting on her outside the tub, on standby, cause he's just that devoted.
Mai and Momo taking selfies together in the backyard garden before teasing a flustered Kasumi after Kokichi gifted her a flower in her hair.
Yuki and Choso; also in the backyard, napped together on the bench under the tallest looming tree, cozy smiles on their faces.
Kusakabe excused himself just to sneak into the bathroom to try out the jacuzzi.
Nanako and Mimiko braided Tsumiki's hair as they sat at the katsudon, smack dabbed in the center of their spacious living room.
Junpei blushing from Tsumiki noticing him gazing at her, smiling widely in return, to which a flushed Junpei jumped from Megumi's stern-faced warning to which his sister complained for him not to scare him so much and a nervously laughing Yuji consoled his horror buddy by hugging him and patting his back, simultaneously trying to calm down his boyfriend going all overprotective brother mode.
Masamichi made some festive themed cursed corpse dolls that were taking up space on the other couch.
Kiyotaka fumbled with his drink as Akari's beaming smile had him and Arata covering their flushed faces from how pure she looked.
Riko and Misato assist Suguru in the kitchen as they prepare the food.
Suguru, knowing you were still unwell, insisted you take it easy and let them handle the feast.
You had been feeling unwell the past few days.
You called in sick today when you felt something change.
You had to see for yourself.
And when you did, you felt inspired to message everyone you know for an impromptu get together at your place. The word spread via group chats, texts, and calls.
Watching everyone enjoying themselves at your impromptu get together heightened your spirits.
Just not for the festive touch.
But to be surrounded by all their beaming warm faces when —
Satoru warped right before barging through the front door with dramatic flair, exciting a few, scaring some, and annoying the rest.
“Honey, I'm home~!” Dropping the bag of pies on the counter, Satoru smooched Suguru fully on the lips.
The moment he noticed you practically glowing, the Six Eyes told him all that there is and will soon be, straight down to the first traces.
In that moment, everyone inside and outside felt the shifts in the cursed force as Gojo warped right before you, startling you out of your hidden viewing spot, his arms wrapping around your figure to catch you. You imagined his eyes trained on the right spot.
“You … you're …”
You couldn't suppress your smile. “I found out this morning. But I didn't know how to tell you both. I had a feeling your Six Eyes would show you the truth – AAH~!” Your yelp as he lifted you up in the air reverberated throughout the house, grabbing everyone's attention.
“Gojo-sensei?!” His students exclaimed in a jumbled mess.
“Satoru! Be careful – !” Suguru's concerns were cut short when he watched as you tugged down that blindfold just to see Satoru's awestruck eyes with your own.
Tears made his eyes sparkling that much beautifully, sniffling softly, beaming with that lovestruck smile as he lowered you down to embrace you, swinging side to side gently, laughing as he smooched your face with so many kisses.
“Y/n … thank you.”
As he sets you down; keeping you wrapped up in one arm, his other arm waving you two's partner over before intertwining their hands together to pull him in quickly. “Suguru~ We've got the hottest scoop of the year!”
Pressing himself right by your side, Suguru leaned down as you got up on your tiptoes to whisper your secret right in his ear. His stunned face was all you could read as he replayed your words in his mind, but he wanted to be certain. “Are you sure?”
Satoru's closed eyed smile and thumbs up added to the buildup. “These eyes don't lie!”
Burning wetness swelled up in those beautiful almond eyes as Suguru kissed you lovingly, smiling at you in the same smitten manner. “Best news ever.”
“Everyone!” Satoru hollered as his arms became yours and Suguru's thrones, lifting you both up, as he floated for literal joy. “We're having a baby!”
“And yes, it's all true!” You exclaimed boldly, knowing the people would take your word more easily than Satoru's.
First stunned silence. Which immediately erupted into cheers and applause of congratulations.
The twins, Tsumiki and Megumi were the first to get up and hurry on over to embrace you, shedding tears of joy.
Yuji and Haibara high-fiving Satoru who was over the moon.
Nanami shook hands to congratulate Suguru, warning him to make sure Satoru took extra caution with taking care of you and your little bundle before embracing you himself. You personally wanted to deem him as the godfather, just a side note.
As those from out front and out back swarmed in as the announcement shot straight through the roof from the loud groundbreaking importance.
After all the girls in the house fussed over you with hugs, advice and offers to help you through this new adventure, your husbands were in the same boat with almost everyone.
Except Kusakabe who was stuck in the bathroom for a while since the hallway was filled with the rest of your guests.
After embracing and congratulating you themselves, Riko and Kuroi announced the feast was ready.
Exchanging kisses with both your loves, you gave a toast.
Toasting to the new addition to your growing unique family.
Now that is cause to celebrate.

what would megumi’s life have been if he was actually raised by the zenin from day one? like either gojo lost the custody battle or they were able to scoop him up before gojo ever reached them. i doubt they would want to keep tsumiki with them so she’s not there for little baby megs.
i think it would be really cool to see a zenin raised megumi interacting with his fellow classmates when he attends the school, not to mention the contrast between him and gojo. like on paper they both should have gotten the same treatment-being pampered and spoiled rotten but we also know that the zenin think that hurting little kids makes them stronger so it would be super interesting to see megumi realise that the stuff that happened to him wasn’t normal and for gojo to have a guilt trip bc he wasn’t able to help megumi when he needed someone to help him the most.
So I have a fanfic that I’ve half written (no idea if I’ll ever finish it—I’d love to, it’s just hard to find the time) about EXACTLY THAT that I talked about in this post for an ask game.
That being said, that entire thing happens from Tsumiki’s perspective, and I agree with you—I don’t think the Zenin would have ever actually taken her too. They don’t want her. She’s not Zenin. She’s not a sorcerer. They only bought Megumi. For the most part, Megumi is absent from that post, and you asked about Megumi. So this is what I think would happen on Megumi's side of that post I linked.
It comes down to two things:
1. He is never, ever happy with the Zenin.
2. He never lets go of his sister.
Megumi’s old enough to remember Tsumiki when the Zenin take him away. He's old enough to love her. And I think that Megumi loves very quietly, but he also loves very violently. He wouldn't let his sister hold his hand on the walk to school, but he would sacrifice himself for her future.
I think the Zenin took him from his sister, and I think he kicked and screamed and wasn't strong enough. I think they thought he would forget her eventually.
And then I think he bit most of the Zenin Clan.
At the end of the day, what Megumi wanted was the one thing the Zenin were not willing to give him. They were never like the Gojo clan, they were never going to pamper him, but there are a great many things in this world that they would give the Ten Shadows finally returned to them. But they would not give him a non-sorcerer, non-Zenin sister who would only be a weakness to him. They refused to let him have any contact with his sister, and that was the source of a lot of what soured.
Any Megumi that was taken in by the Zenin would have been taken in to Naobito's household directly. He would be announced as the one who finally inherited their most cherished technique, and he would be declared heir, and the Zenin would call him beloved for it.
They would keep him in a room that was large and empty and almost always dark, and he wouldn't be allowed to decide when he slept or woke, and the door would always be locked from the outside. They would give him a wardrobe of expensive clothes that he hated, and he would never get to pick which of them he wore.
Megumi would hate them. He would hate all of them.
He's just not the type to be comfortable with or enjoy the adoration of others--especially when it's not backed up by genuine love. Megumi is someone who very much values sincerity and depth to emotion--it's one of the reasons why he seems to respect Yuuji so much. Yuuji is a good person who follows through with what he says. He's not just going to talk about wanting to save people--he's there making the sacrifices as he does it.
The Zenin do not actually love him. And he knows it. He's experienced love before, and this isn't it.
They love the idea of him. The fantasy of him that lives in their heads. He has no interest in being their little god prince to contend with the Gojo's own. He knows who he is, and it's not this. He wants to go home. He wants to find his sister again. He doesn't want to do this anymore.
And I think that's a feeling Megumi never escape: he just didn't want to do this anymore.
Megumi would feel like a bug pinned beneath glass in the Zenin compound. He would constantly have people managing him--when he ate, what he ate, what he wore, when he slept, when he woke, when he trained, what he did. Having to become a jujutsu sorcerer signified an inherent loss of control, but it's nothing compared to the sheer objectification that he goes through when the Zenin have exclusive control over him.
He has no power of what clothes he wears. How his hair is styled. His schedule, his diet, the people he speaks too--he's suffocating and the Zenin are just increasing pressure on him.
I don't think Gojo ever thought that would be Megumi's life.
We’re gonna just have this imagining exist in the same world as the Tsumiki centric fic described in the linked post, and in that, the reason why Gojo never took him in was because he didn’t know Megumi had a sister. He showed up, saw the divine dogs, realized Megumi had the Ten Shadows, and decided he couldn’t do this. He was a mess. He was grieving Suguru and Haibara. Megumi looked just like the man who killed Riko, and apparently inherited the fucking Ten Shadows of all the goddamn things. The Zenin would lose their shit, and Gojo didn’t have the energy to fight and told himself he didn’t need to, because if Megumi was the Ten Shadows he’d be cared for like a prince with the Zenin. He turned around and left and spent the rest of his life with Megumi in the back of his mind, always nagging him with whether he made the right decision. It wasn’t until Maki got there and made a few worrisome references to Megumi's standard of living that he started to really worry that he had made the wrong one, and it wasn't until he found out about Tsumiki that he knew it was the wrong decision.
It's like this: The Zenin hurt Megumi in every world.
It would be bad no matter what, but it really gets bad because Megumi refuses to stop trying to get back to Tsumiki. She's his sister. They didn't have anyone or anything in this world, but they had each other, and he couldn't let these people just take her away. He’s feral about it. He refuses to fit the mold they keep trying to cram him in. He’s trying to scale the walls to escape. He’s increasingly desperate and angry and the Zenin are getting more and more frustrated the longer he fights them. He’s the heir to the clan, and he can’t stop trying to leave it to get back to some random girl who isn’t his real sister and isn’t someone they’ll ever allow him to have.
It gets bad.
They put him under increasingly strict levels of control. He’s constantly being trained, which means he's constantly being hurt. He’s not allowed to speak to anyone without the clan head’s approval. He is under absolutely constant guard after he manages to get over the wall and halfway to his old neighborhood before they catch him again. Tsumiki’s name is not allowed to be said aloud, or his old name. He forgets his name used to be Fushiguro, but he doesn’t forget Tsumiki. He doesn’t let himself.
I think it escalates until it hits a breaking point. Megumi becomes increasingly self-destructive and non-responsive to everything they try. They push him to extremes that start risking permanent damage.
I think Megumi would try to hurt himself, eventually.
He wouldn't be in his right mind. He's in the most shit situation possible. He's undergoing pretty severe abuse. He'd be at the end of his rope from the lack of control over his own life, and he'd be spiteful as hell towards the Zenin. And the only thing he has to hurt them with is himself.
As a character, Megumi has always considered his own sacrifice as an acceptable means to the end of getting back at someone. Mahoraga, intrinsically, requires him killing himself as a way of killing someone else. He'd hurt himself if it was the only way he had of hurting them.
Naobito would cover it up. He'd never, ever want the rest of the clan to find out that it happened. It was already bad enough that Megumi openly hated them--he couldn't have the Zenin seeing any vulnerability in what was meant to be their most powerful member. He'd put Megumi in total lockdown until he could make it all go away.
Then they'd make a deal.
A binding vow. Megumi could never purposefully hurt himself again. He could never again try to leverage his own safety against the clan.
And in exchange, Tsumiki would be taken care of.
The last time Megumi saw his sister, she was on a sinking ship. They were running out of food, money, options--he doesn't know if she even has food anymore. He doesn't know if she lost the apartment or if there's still running water.
They're not letting him see her. But they are letting him take care of her. He can sacrifice another piece of control over himself, and she'll never have to worry about money again. They'll pay for her housing, her food, her education, for her every desire for as long as she lives. The trust the Zenin set up for her will be a generous one, and it will be managed meticulously by a trustee who can make sure she'll be provided for until she's old and grey. And Naobito will vow to never hurt her or send someone else to hurt her. She'll be safe. She'll be taken care of.
Megumi makes the deal.
In the end, the deal's what sort of breaks him.
Because he doesn't promise to stop looking for her, but the Zenin manage to make it a part of the terms anyway. When they approach Tsumiki's mother with the offer to be her family's beneficiary, they include a requirement that Tsumiki be moved to another city entirely with no forwarding address given. She needs to be somewhere that Megumi can never find her again.
The Zenin keep the old apartment. They pay the rent every month. And the next time Megumi manages to make it off compound, they let him make it all the way there before dragging him home. They let him see the empty apartment with all its empty rooms.
Naobito wants him to know that Tsumiki's gone. He wants him to know that he'll never find her again.
He tries to run a few more times after that, but he never makes it very far. He doesn't have anywhere to go.
In the linked post, Megumi finds Tsumiki, just once. She's on a class trip. He's on one of his very few and far between allowed excursions off the compound grounds, and he sees her in the crowd and recognizes her, and he ducks away from his escort before anyone can stop him.
She remembers him. He didn't think she would do that.
She tries to save him. He didn't think she would do that either.
She still loves him. And he was always too afraid to hope she would do that.
It goes the same way it did the first time. There's a car, and the Zenin shove him in it. She's on the outside, and he's trapped within, and he wishes she didn't scream so loudly when it happens. The sound never seems to leave his dreams.
His sister still loves him. Naoya hits him in the back of the head. He wakes up, and it was like she was never there at all.
But they hit him harder, after. Like they're trying to beat the memory of her out of him. He has even less freedom, when he already had next to none at all.
But he still has a sister. He has a place to go that isn't here. He just has to figure out where that is.
He wouldn't really have anyone in the Zenin clan. Most people are just... weird about him. Naoya's violently abusive. Naobito's weird and violently abusive. Everyone wants him to be someone he's not.
Maki would be his favorite.
He doesn't care about whether she's got cursed energy--his sister didn't have any. And she's obviously strong. She doesn't treat him like a divine blessing or try to force him to act a certain way. I think they would have genuinely liked each other, but kept each other at a distance. They're both trapped in an abusive situation and keep themselves safe by keeping everyone else at arm's length.
He would have been happy to see her get out, though. He would have told her that she could have his spot as heir or head or whatever when she came back if she wanted it. She would have told him that if he ever got out... well, fuck it. They could be something then. Family. Whatever the fuck they weren't allowed to be here.
She would have told him she's sorry, and she would have meant it. The only one she she regretted more than Megumi was Maki. He would have told her not to be, that if she dared to be sorry for getting out that he would never forgive her, and he would have meant that too.
I think his relationship with his own techinque would be very different in a world where the Zenin raised him. In canon, his issue is that he doesn't view himself as someone who could be powerful or win in the long run, but in this world, all he ever hears is how powerful he is. Pride of the fucking Zenin. The most powerful of them in centuries. Meant to rival Gojo fucking Satoru himself.
I think his real issue would be controlling it.
His technique would be a source of negative associations for him. It's the reason why the Zenin took him away. Most of his interactions with it have involved getting beaten and hurt by either his family or a high-level curse they shoved him in front of. I think he'd have a lot more firepower under his belt than at the start of canon, but he'd have less of a fine tuned control over it.
He lost control over his own life because of his shadows. It think that would manifest in struggling to control his own shikigami at times. he's not as in-sync with them as he is in canon.
Eventually, he'd go to Jujutsu High. He would be the only one in the first year class at the beginning, just like in canon. And he'd finally meet Gojo Satoru, the man he's supposed to topple.
He looks at Megumi really goddamn weird.
He's... enthusiastic. About. Teaching. He guesses. And constantly asking prying questions about the Zenin, but not in the sort of way he'd expect from a rival. In the sort of way he'd expect from someone concerned about him. Which is stupid. And annoying. And weird. He keeps a distance from everyone. They've all heard about the Zenin clan heir, and he has no interest in having to fit or break whatever mold they've already cast him in. He's better off on his own.
Maki's there. She's cordial where other people can see it, and in private, she takes care of him in a way that's terrifyingly close to familial. He's not sure if he likes it. He's not Mai, and she's not Tsumiki, and they both want someone they can't have.
She isn't sorry she left. She is sorry she left him. He can hate her for it all he goddamn pleases.
Of course, if this is in the same world as the linked post, Megumi finds Tsumiki again. He finds her in Sendai.
He gets to keep her, this time.
Gojo Satoru, of all the goddamn people, intervenes and becomes his sister's benefactor. It's super fucking weird. He won't stop looking at Megumi strangely. He won't stop insisting that he didn't know he had a sister, like that matters.
That would sort of be the first time in a long time that life actually gets better for Megumi.
I think he would ask to go by Fushiguro again, once he asks Tsumiki what his name used to be. He'd ask her if she minded it, him taking the name again, and he'd ask the rest of the school to call him Fushiguro instead of Zenin.
Predictably enough, Naobito loses his shit when he finds out, but it's not nearly as big of a pain in the ass as he thinks it is? Because Gojo intervenes.
Gojo keeps intervening.
It drives Megumi nuts, because if anyone was supposed to hate him, it was this guy. If anyone was supposed to be against him, it was this guy. This is the guy he was supposed to rival. This is the guy who killed his shitheel bio dad.
Gojo's just... good to him. He keeps him safe. He keeps him safe from his own goddamn family, and that's--no one's ever done that. No one's ever protected him from the Zenin.
The Zenin try to remove him from the Tokyo campus and move him to Kyoto the second they find out Tsumiki's there, and Gojo just... says no. It causes an uproar, and he doesn't fucking budge. It's treading dangerously close to him kidnapping the Zenin clan heir, his refusal to let them remove him from the Tokyo campus, and he doesn't care about whatever problems it causes him.
Megumi's his student. He doesn't want to leave. So Gojo won't let them take him.
He personally goes to Kyoto and collects him, the one time the Zenin force him into a car and move him when Gojo's off on a mission. He tells the higher ups to get fucked. He changes Megumi's student I.D. to read Fushiguro, and he causes problems for Yaga and the assistants until they start calling him Fushiguro as well.
Megumi's different with the other students once his sister is there.
He's more connected with them. He becomes best friends with Kugisaki and Itadori. He gets closer with the second years. He's visibly happier, and it sort of casts in sharp contrast how unhappy he was before this.
And Gojo? Gojo's so goddamn sorry. He didn't know megumi had a sister.
The thing is that now that both Tsumiki and Megumi are on campus, it sort of haunts Gojo with what could have been. They're both fantastic kids--funny, smart, resourceful. And it's painful watching them try to rebuild what was taken from them. And it could have just. never happened. Because he could have saved them both. He could have been their family.
It's sort of painfully obvious the Zenin abused Megumi, and it fucking haunts him. He doesn't even have to read into Megumi's behavior--he sees it happen, right in front of him, with how they try to control him and push him around. He wants to kill them for it. He wants to hate himself for it. He could have saved Megumi and he just. He didn't.
He wishes he did.

A completely normal Valentine's Day
Suguru stares up at the building in front of him, a faint headache already blooming behind his eyes. He doesn’t need to be a genius to know that whatever Satoru is planning is probably bordering on insane and the fact that the building apparently houses a law firm doesn’t help at all.
That only makes things scarier.
“What is this?” Suguru asks, eyeing Satoru from the corner of his eyes.
Satoru is bouncing on the balls of his feet, and he gives Suguru a grin that borders on being manic.
“Don’t be mad?” he asks, his eyes glinting with excitement and Suguru lets out a deep sigh.
“I’m about to be really fucking furious, one way or another,” he gives back because he knows Satoru, has known him for several years at this point and so he knows how this is going to end. “What did you do?” he sighs out and Satoru pouts at him.
“Nothing! I did nothing!” He sounds sincere about that, too, which only leaves Suguru with one other option.
“What did your family do?” he asks, pinching the bridge of his nose, because this promises to be more than just a simple headache.
Satoru’s shenanigans are worrying and stress-inducing and while they can be mean-spirited at times, depending on the person, they are always kind of entertaining for Suguru in the end.
The same really can’t be said about Satoru’s family and their interferences in Satoru’s life. Those are just upsetting and hurtful and leave Satoru jittery and stressed out of his mind which in turn causes Suguru to worry so much that he expects to see his first grey hairs at the ripe age of twenty-two.
“Ah, you know them so well,” Satoru replies and all traces of humour have left his voice.
So it is something serious.
“Satoru,” Suguru starts but Satoru cuts him off with one of the many different fake smiles he has.
“Ah, come on, it’ll be fun, right?” he says, back to bouncing on his feet and it’s only now that Suguru notices how he constantly scans his surroundings.
So it’s not excitement but nerves that have him this fidgety.
“It sure as hell won’t be,” Suguru sighs out, because nothing involving Satoru’s family has ever been fun, “but let’s go anyway.”
That immediately has Satoru walking, and just like Suguru feared, he’s going straight for the entrance to the imposing building. Suguru is not dressed for a place like this, and wouldn’t even know what to do here, either, so he simply has to trust Satoru in this.
“We have an appointment with Higuruma Hiromi,” Satoru tells the secretary at the front lobby and Suguru wonders when Satoru set this up.
A place like this surely doesn’t have appointments free every day, so this must be in the making for a while.
“Satoru, are you okay?” Suguru asks, his mind running wild with possibilities and Satoru must notice, because he doesn’t try to smile anything away.
“I’m good. I’ll be better after this, though,” he adds, which is just as cryptic as everything else that’s been happening today and it makes Suguru sigh.
“Gentlemen, this way please,” the secretary interrupts them before Suguru can say anything and he doesn’t much feel like pestering Satoru for a real answer when they are led into one of the offices.
The lawyer is already waiting for them.
“Welcome. My name is Higuruma Hiromi,” he greets them with and Satoru beams at him.
“Gojo Satoru and this is Geto Suguru,” he introduces them and Higuruma nods.
“The one you’ll be transferring everything to,” he says which just makes Suguru frown.
“Excuse me, what?” he interjects, forgetting his manners because apparently this concerns him now as well.
Higuruma sends a puzzled look Satoru’s way.
“Have you not informed him?”
“It might have slipped my mind,” Satoru simply says with a shrug and Suguru feels the acute urge to strangle him.
“Informed me about what?” he presses out, pressing his thumb into the space between his eyes in an attempt to stave off the impending headache.
“About that,” Satoru says with a weak smile just as Higuruma slides a document across the table to Suguru.
Suguru silences Satoru with a sharp look before he takes the document and quickly scans it over. What he reads makes him feel very, very cold.
“Are you dying?” he asks once he put the document back down and if Satoru hid a terminal illness from him, he’s going to help things along with his bare hands.
“No! No, it’s not quite so serious,” Satoru tries to reassure Suguru, but it’s not very believable, not with that Suguru just read.
“Then you better explain yourself, because this,” Suguru jabs the document as if it personally offended him, “is not something I want to see ever again.”
“Ah, but with today’s signature it will be put into effect immediately. We’re mostly just here to figure out your assets, how you should best handle everything and all the legal stuff that comes with owning that much, you know?” Satoru says and Suguru slams his hand on the table.
“Satoru, what the hell is going on? You can’t just simply—you’re transferring everything to me. Everything. All your money, your trust funds, your real estate, your cars, the shares of the company. Everything.” Suguru feels like that bears repeating. “What the hell is going on?”
“So,” Satoru starts and he’s avoiding Suguru’s gaze. “You remember that I cut off all contact with my family once I turned eighteen and got all of—this?” he gestures at the document which has a very exhausting list of all the things Satoru currently owns, and of course Suguru remembers that.
“Of course I do,” he says out loud because Satoru is clearly expecting an answer.
“Turns out, my family didn’t like that much. They have been trying to get most of it back since then, especially everything that connects to the company.”
Suguru blinks.
“You never told me about that,” he finally says, because for all he knows Satoru did not have any contact whatsoever with his family since his eighteenth birthday, even though they’ve tried a whole lot of things. Satoru always ignored them or brushed them off until they went away again, at least as far as Suguru knows.
But clearly he’s missing some things.
“Because it wasn’t worth mentioning. Most of my family’s request immediately went to Higuruma here, as he is my legal advisor in these things and I barely had to deal with anything directly.”
“What changed?” Suguru asks, because something must have changed for Satoru to do something like this.
“My family hired an assassin,” Satoru bluntly says and Suguru can feel himself go pale.
“They what?” he hisses out and Satoru shrugs as if it doesn’t mean anything to him.
Suguru really is going to strangle him.
“They contracted someone called Fushiguro Toji. I know because another clan once contracted him to kill me and I didn’t take him out when he fucked up, so he promised to give me a heads-up next time a hit was put out on me. I think he enjoys the challenge. He contacted me last week.”
“Last week,” Suguru mumbles and now it finally makes sense, Satoru’s unwillingness to leave the house for anything.
“The police can’t do anything of course, so this—” Satoru points at the document, “is the only thing I can do. My family wants to kill me so that everything currently in my possession goes back to them. I’m not going to let that happen and once all of these things are transferred they should call Toji off, too.”
“Or set him on to me,” Suguru says, though it sounds wrong when he says it out loud. Satoru wouldn’t put his life on the line like that.
“That would not benefit them,” Higuruma speaks up. “All of these assets don’t return to Gojo should you die. They go to your closest relatives, and I’m given to understand your parents and your sisters are alive and well. The Gojo family could never get these assets back that way.”
“Why not give them to a charity or something?” Suguru wants to know and he doesn’t startle when Satoru leans close.
“It’s all yours, Suguru. Everything I own is yours. I trust you not to kick me out, since I am basically penny-less after I sign this, but—” he trails off with a shrug. “It’s yours.”
“You’re so goddamn fucking—” Suguru cuts himself off and rubs a hand over his face. “Is this what you consider a valentine’s gift? Couldn’t you have given me something normal, like flowers or chocolate?” Suguru wants to know because surely this must mean something.
Satoru is close with other people, people he trusts even, but it seems as if those didn’t even cross his mind.
“I—oh, it is Valentine’s Day,” Satoru weakly gives back with a look at the document and the date noted down there but he recovers quickly. “I mean—you know me. No chocolate would have survived, anyway.”
“You’re such an idiot,” Suguru sighs out and reaches out for Satoru’s hand, threading their fingers together. “A flower would have sufficed.”
“Next Valentine’s Day, when no assassin is breathing down my neck, okay?” Satoru asks, and squeezes Suguru’s hand which Suguru supposes is his answer to the unspoken question.
He is not alone with his feelings, then.
“Fine,” Suguru agrees and turns back around to Higuruma, his mind made up. “Do you officiate weddings, too?” he asks and Satoru splutters at his side.
“Suguru, what are you doing?” There’s a note of panic to his tone but Suguru is calm.
Maybe he is rushing things, or maybe this is long overdue but he just knows that he has to marry Satoru right now.
“Satoru, you already gave me everything, all of your worldly possessions and let’s be real here, you probably hid your heart in this, too, in one of the cars you never drive maybe, and on the off-chance I ever decide to take that out for a spin, I’ll probably find your heart bleeding all over the floor because you couldn’t say it. And this?”
Suguru points at the document still on the table, that will transfer all of Satoru’s belongings to Suguru, leaving him basically a broke man. The only thing Satoru will still have after signing this is his trust in Suguru and that sure makes Suguru’s heart beat fast in his chest.
“This is selfish, and don’t even pretend that you only started this last week. You always intended to give me everything, because there is no way a lawyer not collaborating with your family could have listed off all of these things in a week. No offense, Higuruma, but no one is that good, and you, Satoru, are not that organised. So you planned this. You have planned this for a while, and making that decision on your own is very selfish. But you know what? Today I’m going to be selfish, too. I’m going to marry you and I won’t only take all of your things, I’ll also take your goddamn name and throw it right out of the window, because fuck your family. From this day on you’ll be Geto Satoru, because I love you, too.”
“Suguru,” Satoru breathes out once Suguru falls silent and Suguru doesn’t panic when he spots tears in Satoru’s eyes.
He only leans forward and kisses them right off Satoru’s face.
“You’re such an idiot,” he whispers and Satoru lets out a wet laugh.
“Is that any way to speak to your finance? Also, most unromantic proposal ever, Suguru, we’re not telling that to people.”
“Unromantic? You want to talk to me about being unromantic, when your Valentine’s gift to me is everything you currently own?” Suguru shoots right back. “I don’t even get a goddamn flower from you.”
“I—“ Satoru bites his lips before he visibly steels himself. “I wanted to confess after this,” he then admits. “I wanted to gauge your reaction first, in case you got angry or told me to fuck off.”
“You’re such an idiot,” Suguru sighs out and briefly brings their lips together. “I’m mad that you didn’t tell me an assassin is after you for an entire week, but Satoru, you really should know me better than that. I would never tell you to fuck off.”
“Well, if we get married, you won’t be able to anymore, so now that I think about it, let’s do it,” Satoru decides with a nod and Suguru laughs.
“Divorces exist, you know,” he reminds him but softens his words with a squeeze of his hand.
“No, they don’t. Higuruma, draft me a prenup that forbids Suguru from divorcing me,” Satoru says and Suguru fondly rolls his eyes.
“I’m very sorry, but that is legally not possible.”
“Goddamit,” Satoru mutters and Suguru leans close, resting his chin on his shoulder so he can whisper directly into his ear.
“It seems as if you just have to trust that I love you too much to ever want to divorce you.”
“Mh, it would seem that way,” Satoru gives back, and Suguru can feel the shudder run through him. “I do, though, actually. Just so you know.”
Suguru can feel himself go soft at that.
“I do. I know,” he promises him because trust has never been an issue between them and Suguru will never allow it to be.
“So, will you require an actual prenup?” Higuruma interjects and while Suguru shakes his head, Satoru nods.
“Huh?” Suguru is confused. “What the hell do we need a prenup for? You already gave me everything out of your own free will.”
“Yeah, but if we don’t have a prenup, and you die, all of your things will belong to me again, which puts us right back at the start, except I won’t worry about dying because living without you would suck but it would still mean my family wins, and I can’t have that. So we set up a prenup that in case of divorce everything stays with you, and in case of your death everything goes to your family. Or do we need a will for that?”
“Both would cover every legal possibility,” Higuruma gives back. “If you want to be on the safe side with that.”
“Which we definitely want. How long will that take you?”
“Two days,” Higuruma thoughtfully says and Suguru sees Satoru’s face fall.
“It’ll be fine. We can go ring shopping and we need an appointment at the registry office anyway,” Suguru tries to soothe him.
“I have a friend who works there, I can call him,” Higuruma offers. “You should still sign this document today, Gojo, to be on the safe side with that. A copy of it will be sent to your family like you requested and considering everything, that should still take priority. I will set up the prenup and the will, ready to be signed in two days and I have my friend schedule an appointment at the registry office after our appointment here. And once that is done, we still need an appointment to go over all the assets and what owning them actually means for Geto. How does that sound?”
“Wrong, because I think you should start referring to me as Geto Satoru as soon as possible, to get used to it,” Satoru says, like the brat he is and Suguru almost chokes on his laugh. “Otherwise it sounds pretty good.”
“It sounds perfect,” Suguru agrees, staring at Satoru so that everyone in the room knows he’s not talking about the legal things here.
Geto Satoru does have a very nice ring to it, and he really should have done this earlier. No matter that they basically skipped all the steps in-between.
“It does,” Satoru agrees and then bats his eyes at Suguru. “You better buy me a huge ass ring, because you’re the one with all the funds now,” he says, just as he puts his signature on the document.
“You just wanted to be a trophy-wife, admit it,” Suguru jokes but the considering look on Satoru’s face gives him pause.
Satoru laughs when he notices.
“It doesn’t sound too bad, but we both know I’d be bored to death without my students, so no worries, dear husband-to-be of mine.”
“If that is all,” Higuruma interjects, clearly uncomfortable with them now but Suguru couldn’t care less.
He’s happy, he’s going to marry Satoru and they are going to be much worse than this in the future anyway.
And Suguru is perfectly alright with that prospect.

I looked at the prompt list, but i literally COULD NOT decide, but i was thinking, what if Megumi or Tsumiki had a really bad nightmare? How would Gojo and Reader help them? I was thinking baby Megumi, in his sleepy, not being as menacing and just being scared and asking reader for help (cause gojo would bully him)
Also Ily, thank you for your service to society.
A/N: cryin screamin throwin up i can’t this was so sweet to write I think I got a cavity. Having soft sleepy baby Megumi made me so happy to write bc I feel he definitely had his vulnerable tiny little boy moments with these two after he settled in - still a prickly little cactus man most days but occasionally he just needed a cuddle - bc who wouldn’t? Especially if it’s Gojo giving them. Also ily and thank you so much these kind of messages MAKE MY FUCKIN DAY. Keep em coming!!!!!

A Little Extra Love
Tumblr media
Waking up to the sound of obvious nightmares wasn’t unusual for you. You’d been sleeping beside Satoru for a couple of years now, and you’ve shared rooms with Geto and Shoko - the four of you have seen too much shit to sleep unscathed. At least once a month, you’d be sitting with Satoru, still shaking and crying from the lingering feelings of fear and pain stemming from the nightmare - of Riko, of Suguru, of Toji - of losing you. You were no stranger yourself, dreams of bloodied white hair in your lap and vacant blue eyes with a stab wound through his throat plagued you - the image of Suguru holding a young girl's corpse, of the last time you saw Haibara all poisoned your sleep now and again.
So waking at 2am to the sounds of soft whimpers made you immediately turn around to wake your boyfriend from what you expected to be his nightmare - only to find him fast asleep, hair wild across the pillow and drool leaking from the corner of his mouth as he lay starfished across the bed. There was no relief however in seeing a peaceful Satoru - because that meant it was one of the kids.
They’d been with you for about 9 months now, and it was almost Megumi’s 7th birthday.
You bolted up, trying to stay silent as you creeped out your door and ran down the hallway to the kids rooms - the sound was coming from Megumi’s room so you softly opened the door and came face to face with a sight that broke your heart. Megumi was clutching his frog plush so tight that his small knuckles were white and his face was contorted in fear - whimpers and soft cries coming from his trembling mouth.
Dashing across to his bed, you gently sat on the bed beside him. You knew that waking anyone - let alone a 6 year old - abruptly from a nightmare would only cause more fear, so you began to softly coo his name and stroke his soft black hair away from his face. After about 20 seconds, you placed a hand on his little chest and rubbed soothing circles - causing his eyes to flash open and the frog to be clutched even tighter to his chest as he let out a yelp at whatever woke him, eyes wide and petrified frantically scanning the room before he surprised you by flinging his tiny arms around your neck and clutching you right and crawling his way into your lap.
“You’re okay sweet boy, you’re safe. It was a nasty dream, that’s all.” You coo into his hair, with the softest voice you can muster. You hate seeing him like this, you wish he didn’t have the trauma he did so he could worry about things normal little boys did instead.
He sniffled into your chest, head pressed into your fluffy pyjama top face first. You continue the slow cycles on his back and wrap your arm around his legs to keep his close to you.
“Do you wanna talk about it, baby?” You ask.
He shudders, but nods.
“He c-came to get us, my dad, he came in here and took me and ‘Miki and said w-we had to leave with him to the big Zen’in family and never come home again and h-he said you didn’t w-want us and-” and the sobs took over as you got the gist of the dream and if the ghost of Toji Fushiguro was in front of you right now you’d kill him and send him back to hell again.
“Oh, my sweet boy - that’s never gonna happen. We’re never leaving you or Tsumiki, we always will want you guys - we love you both so much. I promise, no matter how much me and Satoru annoy you guys you can’t get rid of us, ‘Kay? We’re a family now. Your dad isn’t taking you from us, pinky promise.”
‘Because your unofficially adopted father killed him and him and I threatened the Zen’in family so much that they’re too scared to come within a mile of you two!’ Is the bit you leave out.
You also leave out that you and Satoru are looking at legally adopting them - that’s for another, happier time.
He sticks his little pinkie finger out and locks it with yours, sniffling a tiny bit more and rubbing his face (snot and all) onto your koala print top, but you couldn’t care less when you can feel the shaking start to settle.
“We can stay with you guys forever, ‘Miki too? Even though she has no magic stuff like me and you guys because the Zen’in said that she wasn’t worth keeping and -” He asks.
“Megumi - we don’t want you two because of what you can or can’t do - we love you guys as Megumi and Tsumiki, nothing else. Even if neither of you could do any of that stuff, you’re stuck with us, okay? Satoru and I have enough magic to keep us all safe - the whole family, okay?” You hate the Zen’in family for even planting that fear in his little brain.
“I love you too.” He says as his tears dry and you wipe his little face. This is only the second time he’s said it to you both, once was a few weeks ago when you and Satoru put him to sleep and both whispered “love you!” into his softly lit room and he whispered “love you guys too.”
You both sobbed that night - you’re both only 21 - can’t be doing that bad of a job with them if he says it back, can you?
“You’re such a brave boy. If you get more yucky dreams again, you come get me or Satoru, okay?” You plonk a kiss on his spiky hair.
“Just you. Not Satoru.” He looks down, fiddling with your necklace.
“Why not, sweetie?”
“I - don’t want him to know.”
“About the nightmares?”
He nods.
“He - he’s the strongest. I don’t want him to think I’m not brave or strong.” He says, words that shouldn’t even compute that way in his head.
“Absolutely not - baby, who told you that being scared makes you not brave or strong?” You tilt his little head up.
“My dad.”
“Well your dad’s dumb then. You can only be really brave if you’re scared. Being scared and fighting anyway is the bravest thing a person can do, I promise. Think about it this way - who’s the bravest and strongest person you know?” You ask as he giggles at you saying Toji’s dumb (you’ve plenty of other names too for that man.)
“You and Satoru.” He says with such resolve your heart melts, you expected him to say Satoru, so being included felt good.
“Satoru and I both get nightmares too, I had one last week, Satoru a few nights ago. It doesn’t mean you’re not brave or strong - it just means you need a little extra love, that’s all.” You nod at him, and you seem the surprise in his eyes at the revelation that the strongest and bravest people he knows get nightmares too, shattering the words Toji had planted into smithereens. How could nightmares mean you’re not those things if you guys had them? You had to know, because you and Aunty Koko were the smartest people in the world. Maybe Ijichi too.
He’s quiet for a minute.
“So if I have a bad dream - I can come get you or Satoru?” He asks.
“You can get more or him for anything at all, honey, not just bad dreams. We’re always here for you, and nothing will change our minds about how much we love you, or how brave and strong and smart and kind you are - ‘Kay?” He nods into your chest at this.
He settles down, small fingers still fiddling with your pendant.
“C’mon, do you wanna come stay with us in our room tonight?” You say.
He thinks for a second.
Then nods, and yawns.
So you lift him onto your hip, ensuring he has his frog and his water bottle and carry him down the hall into your room. Satoru’s still splayed across the bed like he’s determined to use every single centimetre of his long ass body to claim territory.
You point at the drool on his face and Megumi giggles, hearing Satoru order dessert in his sleep.
You lay him down between you both, and crawl in under the covers as he settles in - the movement stirring Satoru, who’s eyes open and he looks in confusion.
“Princess whatcha doin’ up? S’late. Wait - what you doin’ here kid?” He slurs, lifting himself onto his side to face you both.
Megumi looks at you and you smile, tucking him into the bed with you both.
“‘Gumi had a bad dream, ‘toru - so he’s going to stay with us tonight, a little extra love - yeah?” You say, petting both your boys hair. ‘A little extra love’ was what you had said to Satoru when you found him awake after a nightmare back in first year of high school. He smiled at that, eyes dropping back closed as he ruffled Megumi’s hair.
“Bad dream are the worst, aren’t they kiddo? I hate ‘em. If any bad guys come near you I’ll blast them into space, ‘kay? You just shout for me in your dream and let me deal with ‘em.” Satoru mumbles, sleep quickly taking him again, as he shuffles in closer to the middle and you both wrap an arm around the little boy who is snuggling in to return to sleep.
“Promise?” Megumi asks, poking Satoru’s nose.
“Pinky promise.” Satoru replies, lips quirked but eyes shut.
Megumi smiles softly to himself, and hugs his frog and shuts his eyes.
You let out a yawn, eyes closing heavy.
“Goodnight boys, I love you both.”
“Night Y/N. Luh’ you too.” Megumi mumbles, hair splayed almost identically to Satoru’s.
“Night night, Princess. Love ya’ always, you too kiddo.”
No more nightmares that night, just four sleeping soundly in a quiet cottage.

years ago..
the spring air was so sweet compared to the pencil and parchment scent that lingered in the classroom despite the windows being open most of the day towards the end of the school year. you’re sure it’s a stale smell you won't ever forget but the blooming cherry blossoms brought with them so much life and beauty and with the next step of your life awaiting you, graduating high school and attending baking school you were waiting to hear of your acceptance into, you couldn’t help but bask in everything they had to offer as you stepped out of the school and were blanketed in the pink petals and their subtle scent in the breeze.
you would only do this a few more times, you realize and hug your textbooks closer to your chest as if it might comfort the tightness in your chest, your friends chatter muffled in the background of your thoughts about the future. about how all your hard work and tears in the kitchen throughout your entire childhood, failing and learning with your parents right beside you, having them work double shifts and late nights to pay for everything you needed, to one day open a shop you had dreamed of, were finally going to pay off and come to fruition.
for so long you had talked about how you couldn’t wait to grow up and be doing what you love already but now that it was so close, within your grasp and at the precipice of the life you had always known and an entire world you had yet to experience, you wondered how ready for that you actually are.
what was waiting for you there? a mixture of failure and success but could you make it through the failure? was there love? friendship? money? what choices will you have to make and what if they were wrong? what if you couldn’t do it?
a familiar honking car horn catches your attention and when you’re pulled from your thoughts, you look up from the petal covered ground and your black school shoes to see your parents in their car waving at you excitedly.
your heart can’t help but race. they rarely picked you up from school, let alone together and they were never good at hiding their emotions so their goofy grins making you very curious and even relieved.
maybe it was okay that you were.. well scared. the future was full of the unknown, the ever changing and fear but you wouldn’t be alone. your parents would be with you every step of the way. of that much you were certain.
“see ya later guys,” you say to your friends who all give their goodbyes at the same time in a messy melody of their voices that has you chuckling as you walk in the direction of your parents.
you don’t know why you stopped. you don’t know what brought your attention to the cross walk not far from where your parents were waiting for you but it was as if the universe herself reached out to grab ahold of your shoulders and force you to halt your movements and with a hand as gentle as the breeze, guided you to look in the direction you were needed the most.
first you saw the large suv going far too fast when the light coming up in front of them was red and then, two small dark haired children crossing the street hand in hand, the boy pouting up at the older girl with knitted brows, unaware of their surroundings.
your body moved before you could even think straight, dropping your books and shedding your backpack in one swift motion. your feet hit the ground hard and fast in what felt like the world moving in slow motion, crushing the sakura petals under your running steps that only grew faster and faster.
a flash of seafoam colored eyes from the small black haired boy, round and shaking before you shoved him out of the way with all your strength, was the last thing you saw before the world went black, aching and cold, where you couldn’t move or breathe.
your hearing slowly followed, the sound of crushing metal calming to make way for the crying screams of those who were around you. and like a lullaby to a sleep you tried to fight off, the soft pleas of your father from a place you couldn’t discern, ‘i have to save her, have to get her help, have to- have to…’ was the chorus that finally pulled you from consciousness and into a lone darkness.
✧˚ · .
you thought it lovely and unfair how pictures could bring back such vivid memories, make you tear up and have your heart aching but we look at and cherish them all the same.
mom bought the frame around the particular pictures you had pulled from your closet when looking for an outfit for your date tonight. the frame was special for your high school graduation. on one side fits a picture of your first day of school ever, your height not even reaching your parents' hips who were on either side of you with wide smiles. each of your small hands inside one of theirs, smiling just as brightly as they are, if not a bit toothless.
the other side was supposed to be for your graduation picture, where your parents should have been beside you, diploma in hand, smiling happily like in the first picture though quite older now. but it’s not anything like that. instead it’s you alone, your legs bruised purple and yellow under your uniform skirt, bandages on your face and arms from the glass that cut you after your parents car took the brunt of the crash they saved you from. you tried to smile for the picture your teacher asked to take of you, you knew she meant well even if you would have rather not, but your half assed smile is hollow, hardly there at all.
it took years to put the photo in the frame, you didn’t need to be reminded of that day. your loneliness was reminder enough. but mom and dad were so excited about the frame, had it specially made so you could remember the changes throughout the year. they just never expected that the changes would include them dying, leaving you behind and by yourself. eventually, when the grief was just there rather than your entire life and the cuts and bruises had long faded, you put the picture in the frame but could never get yourself to display it.
you don’t regret your choice that day, to run into the street and push those children out of harm's way. you don’t know what became of them, you might never know, but you hoped they were living their best life and that maybe one day, when the stars align and fate is on your side, you’ll come together again. you don’t need or want thanks or pity for your parents' sacrifice, you just wanted them to know that even though you don’t know their names or anything about them, they hold a special place in your heart, one full of hope and reminders that even in the worst of times, there can be good.
putting the picture where it normally hid in your closet, you come to sit on the edge of your bed and clasp the straps of the heels you opted to wear tonight knowing satoru would be here to pick you up any minute. not paying attention to your fiddling of the metal buckle as you tighten the strap on each ankle, your mind wanders to places you wish it hadn’t. back to your pit of solitude that is deeper than you want to admit, but less dark and cold than it once was and maybe even turning brighter.
your circle of friends has always been small, kept at arm's length, but so very important to you, and now satoru was making his way in there as well - if he hadn’t forced his way in from the start - the pressure of him threatening to push past the comfortable distance you kept everyone at.
you don’t know if you should resist it or let him come crashing into you like a comet. so unsure and scared that he’d fill a place in your heart without even trying just to be quickly pulled out of your orbit by his own choice or another force.
it felt ridiculous to be thinking about such things on your first date with the man but, according to miwa, it’s been a long time coming. and she might be right. if you had done this sooner, might you have been saving your heart that already doesn’t want to lose the way he makes you feel, the constant way he makes you smile and laugh and attracts you like a moth to a flame?
and miwa.. she was closing up the bakery by herself tonight for the first time. hopefully she didn’t feel too overwhelmed. you had apologized more than once for having to leave it all to her but knowing what you were taking off early for, she was happy to do it. you trust her but there’s still a chance she accidently burned the shop to the ground.
maybe this wasn’t the best idea for so many reasons..
a knock on the front door of your apartment stops your thoughts completely and causes you to release the breath you didn’t know you had been holding. standing, giving yourself one last glance over in the mirror across the room, your hands slide down the silky fabric of your tight dress and for a moment you see that same heartbroken girl in her graduation picture, standing on wobbly legs and taking unsure steps towards the first hand she might dare to reach out for after so many years.
you hurry from your room, grabbing your small clutch from the coffee table as you pass by and feel all of your anxiousness from before melting into a forgotten puddle at your feet at the sight of satoru standing at the threshold of your door.
✧˚ · .
a different kind of nerves settle in your chest the deeper you get into the packed club, limitless, with booming bass from the club speakers vibrating through your chest and hardly enough room to move without brushing up against so many. you keep pressed close to satoru, which he doesn’t seem to mind when he settles a large hand at the small of your back and uses his figure to shield you from clubbers bumping into each other on a busy saturday night.
as you pass by waiters roaming from place to place and bouncers blocking off the lounges and other private rooms, they all say their hellos and good evenings to satoru, addressing him so formally, asking if he needs anything, which you can’t help but look up at him with a snicker at.
he looks down at you with a raised eyebrow and adorable smile. “watcha laughing about, hm?” he leans in close as he speaks, enough you can feel his chest pressed into your shoulder and smell his cologne, the movement of his hand now resting on your hip making you feel a little weak in the knees.
“oh nothing, mr. gojo,” you exaggerate the last part with a giggle you can’t hold back because you really don’t think the title fits the playful man he actually is. something about satoru just fit him so well you think.
he told you once such formalities reminded him of his father and he didn’t like that much and miwa was the only person you ever heard call him that, even though he’s told her to call him by his first name plenty of times.
squeezing your hip with a twinkle in his eyes, he breaks his gaze away from yours but the smile you left on his face remains as he leads you up a flight of stairs you hadn’t noticed you were standing in front of until now. made of dark glass, each step is illuminated by pink and blue neon lights that bleed into lavender, matching the light display behind the dj booth on the main floor.
the private lounge is much better, quieter. far less sweaty people and not so cramped with each group sitting in private booths and a single bartender in the middle of it all. the music is still coming up from the main floor and a small dance floor balcony that overlooks the dj booth that has a few couples enjoying the music.
the same neon blue lights wrap around the room, turning a darker shade of blue and purple around the booths and lining the ceiling. it’s sparkling and modern; glass fixtures hanging from the ceiling, dark upholstered booths and a view of nearly the whole club below. waiting for you was a private booth, appetizers and sugary treats already spread out along with an opened bottle of a wine he said he’d thought you’d enjoy.
after a while of talking, sharing everything because satoru insisted, except for the wine but you supposed it made sense that such a sweet tooth as satoru wouldn’t enjoy the bitterness and burn of alcohol. you didn’t have much wine yourself and even though this isn’t a usual date you might like, not being incredibly into clubbing, you were easily whisked away to the dance floor, always feeling so free and happy around satoru, with or without alcohol, and as you danced, never being more than inches apart, all you could focus on was him.
your skin tingles with warmth everywhere he touches you, your cheeks with a slight ache at the smiling you couldn’t stop every time he twirled you around or held your hand and gods he had your entire being burning when he pulls you against his body, chest to chest, sharing every breath.
as if he didn’t already have all of your attention, he says your name and pulls you even closer to him with both hands on your hips. he leans in closer, the tips of his white hair tickling your cheek as he says, “you’re gorgeous,” his voice deep and a bit breathless.
you hold onto his light button up shirt tightly, barely breathing when you hide your face in his chest, not knowing if he would hear you and hoping he wouldn’t when the words came flying out before you could think about them. “you said that when you picked me up..”
he chuckles, his chest vibrating underneath your hands. “i meant it then too,” is his reply, soft pink lips brushing against your ear with every word and you can feel his smile when he adds. “i’ll tell you again if you’d like.”
you needed to breathe in something other than satoru before your legs gave way, he was practically holding you up as is but you somehow found the strength to pull away from his chest with a soft ‘c’mon’ and bring him back to your booth with your hand still in his and he easily follows at your heels.
when the ice old water you drink doesn’t stop the heat in your chest or the help push back the butterflies in your stomach that were surely going to make their way up your throat you run off to the restroom, though satoru stays close then too, waiting for you a bit away from the bathroom entrance on the main floor.
the bathroom is blinding compared to the rest of the club, bright fluorescent lights against gray tile. your heels echo against the walls as you walk from the door to the sink farthest from the door. it still seems to be empty in here and the girls that do walk in a minute or so later are too drunk to see you standing there giving yourself a pep talk, or a lecture, you weren’t really sure which it is yet.
whatever it was, your heart needed to get a grip. you didn’t even know where to start dissecting your feelings and thoughts and in a club mid date wasn’t the best time or place for that but the least you could do was try to steady your breathing and simmer the fluttering wings that had just now started to beat softer against your rib cage.
you don’t doubt it won’t be the only time satoru pulls this reaction from you tonight but you also want to get back to him so with a check over yourself, fixing a few strands of hair and pulling down the hem of your dress a bit, you go to find your date once more.
he said he’d wait for you right outside the restroom's entrance but when you walk out, he’s nowhere to be found. it takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust back to the darker light and by the time you spot his white head of hair above everyone else's in the distance, his back towards you, you’re stopped from taking another step forward.
before you can register what’s happening, someone's grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you onto the packed dance floor. you try to fight it, try prying the large hand off of you with little success, the person holding you doesn’t budge. your eyes are fixed in the direction of your date, seeing satorus figure disappear behind person after person as you're dragged through the crowd of people, almost stumbling over your own feet, and it makes you sickly nervous, your hands sweaty, your chest tightening.
finally looking at the person who grabbed you, you see a man who's much taller than you, though not quite like satoru, a large scar over his eye, his dark hair tied atop his head. his entire body is so broad and easily hiding you from view when he backs you up near a loudspeaker. it's hard to move or think or do anything and from the little space you can make out from past his shoulder, you see you’ve found yourself on the other end of the dance floor, near defenseless.
he somehow seems familiar but it feels that way with a lot of people since you see dozens and dozens of different faces at the bakey everyday but it’s not that.. the scar over his left eye is the most familiar part of him and yet you can’t place exactly where you’ve seen him before. it makes you feel even more uneasy.
when the strange man says your name like he knows you, your body screams that despite your fear and anxiousness you have to move and try to get out of this. standing here was not an option.
“it’d be easier if you didn’t resist,” he says, leaning down to your ear to speak so you can hear him over the booming speakers. your eyes widen, your throat feeling like it was going to be close up but you still struggle against him. “-i’d like to ask you a few questions.”
ask you a few questions? what the fuck? get out of here- come on, move. you see him reach into his pocket with his free hand but you don’t wait to see what he has.
“get away from me,” you hiss, your voice so unfamiliar to yourself, finally able to rip your hand away from his grip but the force knocks you into the speaker behind you. he doesn’t try to grab you again but as you try to push past him he doesn’t budge. why was he so freakishly strong? if you weren’t giving him a death glare before, you certainly were now. “i said, get away from me. you should know better than to touch someone against their will.”
you see a small opening through the crowd as he lifts his arm and slip through, quick on your feet as you weave through people, moving as fast as your erratic heart would allow and not caring to look back. you’re almost at the edge on the dance floor, your eyes frantically looking for satoru, your arms wrapping around you for some kind of safety but you are stopped once again when you feel that terribly familiar hand on your arm, tugging you backwards.
it's a last resort to turn to violence but you wouldn’t take this any longer. if your verbal warming wasn’t enough then you didn’t have a choice even if you felt like you’re on the verge of tears. you turn, ready to kick him in the shins with your heel and run into the street or to find your date, whichever was closer but before you can do anything else or shed a tear, an arm wraps around your shoulders and pulls you into a hard body that smells so sweet and feels like a blanket of safety and warmth.
you see the long sleeve of satorus shirt in your side view as he grabs the man's arm with not nearly the same gentleness as which he held you. you can tell by the way his knuckles are turning white that he’s got a vice grip on the stranger.
satoru may be lankier but he was by no means weaker and wasn’t about to back down, you could see it in his darkening eyes when you look up and take your first relieved breath. you might have even been scared of the way they deepen dangerously under white lashes but his arm around you brings you too much comfort to let it bother you.
the music plays loudly behind this scene but many people have stopped dancing and instead are watching, waiting to see how this plays out as the tension thickens in the air. you try to hide your reddening face in satorus embrace, hearing his heart beating loud and fast in your ears, feeling the ice in his tone permeating in the air.
“don’t touch her.”
Tumblr media
he was breathing fire, moving on instinct, feeling as though his veins were going to burst under the pressure of which he held onto this man's arm. a part of him was angry at himself too though. coming to a club the gojo family owned and used for more reasons than the club itself meant, if need be, they could bother him with work while he was here.
halfway through retelling the bosses lackeys to find someone else for whatever they needed him for, he turned to see if you were waiting for him but instead watched you get sucked into the noisy crowd forcefully. the next second he remembers he was right beside you, on the verge of losing his calm and making a scene in front of so many that would have had him in trouble in more ways than one but he didn’t care.
the man sneers at gojo, his brown eyes dangerous but he lets go of you quickly and a few seconds later satoru relaxes his own grasp but his glare remains icey and threatening, the crowd of onlookers waiting to see what either of them would do next.
“get the fuck out of my sight,” satoru spits, feeling you cling to him harder.
the man walks as if nothing happened, hands in his pockets as he heads to the door and satoru watches to be sure there's no way he’s coming back while he brings his other arm around you, surrounding you completely in his embrace.
he doesn’t know why but he needed to hold you. feel that you were okay. he couldn’t deny that your proximity helped to calm his swirling emotions fueled by ire and that perhaps it wasn’t the first time being close to you had done so for him. even that first night he met you, if only for a bit, he forgot all about the void in the chest that he usually shoved down as deep as he could.
“are you alright?” he asks after a moment and a deep breath. the club starts to come back to life but it goes unnoticed by satoru who pulls you away from his chest to check you up and down, once again completely dumb struck about how utterly beautiful you look and loving that it had been for him but it wasn’t enough to snuff out his anger entirely, not after what he witnessed. “he didn’t hurt you? i swear i’ll-“
“no, he didn’t,” you answer before he lets the thought get the best of him and he feels even more of his sanity return. only to be replaced with disgust at what your next words meant. “he said he wanted to ask me some questions but i’m okay, just a little shaken up.”
he pulls you back against him, strong arms holding you tight as if it might help him relax a bit more, comfort you, protect you. he only stepped away for a few seconds and he thought he’d have his eye on you from the moment you exited the bathroom but then just as quickly as you came into view, you disappeared.
asking you questions, not likey just some creep but rather more like fucking pigs in his club. a headache he doesn’t have the time to deal with tonight.
“don’t leave my side, ‘kay?” he says, that seriousness still within his tone but it’s much softer now as he pulls you from his chest, keeping one arm around you.
you nod and follow him, staying tucked into his frame. he takes smaller steps with you so close, often looking down to ensure you really are alright, flashing a smile when you gift him one of your own along with your promises that you really are okay.
satoru didn’t have a plan on where the night was going to go from here. his only thought had been getting you far away from anyone else and it led him back to the parking garage, watching you avoid his gaze as he holds open the passenger door to his car but you hesitate to slip inside.
“we.. we don’t have to end our date here,” you break the silence between you, your words adorably bashful. “i don’t want to at least - not on account of that guy,” you gesture back to the club doors as if he wouldn’t know who you were referring to before looking up at him with an expression that makes his heart stall.
he could hardly begin to describe it. an enchanting mix of sweet and hopeful, pretty and flushed but somehow still determined and like you had yet to have enough of him.
grinning wide, unable to take his eyes off of you, he reaches out for your hand, loving how small it is compared to his, and guilds you into the open door.
“c’mon sweetheart. you’re not gettin’ rid of me that easily.”
✧˚ · .
the night air from the penthouse balcony is cool and refreshing against his skin and through his hair. after leaving you in his walk-in closet to change into something more suitable for winding down at his place, he needed it. both to cool his burning skin and his twitch cock at the thought of you dressed in his clothes.
honestly, satoru didn’t date much as is. flirting, fucking, was one thing but hardly ever did he actually go out with someone but if he did, limitless is where he would take them and it was usually a choice he felt good about. there were supposed to be no cops lurking around. good food and drinks and a talented dj and it wasn’t far from his apartment. none of which wasn’t mere coincidence when the gojo family owned the establishment.
but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t question himself more than a few times if you would actually like the club. hell, even on the drive there with you in the car he thought about turning around to take you somewhere else, his thoughts running a million miles an hour - what would you like instead of this place? you said you liked penguins once.. the aquarium maybe? was the aquarium even opened this late?
taking you there had been a regretful choice considering how things ended up but at the same time, maybe it hadn’t been. more than a couple of times tonight, in moments he hadn’t been prepared for when he was close to you, letting down his guard, it was as if he was just satoru. not the son of the clan head. not the family's most powerful tool. no one but your date. the person making you laugh and smile. the man who got to hold you close and touch your soft skin. just satoru.
he had loved dancing with you, having you close, feeling you, seeing you comfortable around him, and now you were at his apartment, a place he had intended you to end up anyways, even if under different circumstances, but you both seemed determined to not let the events at the club ruin the night. though it wasn’t something satoru could let go entirely, not yet at least.
after a few minutes of waiting on the balcony, the call he had been waiting for comes through. he lets suguru know what happened, who was in the club, and his friend promises to take care of it for tonight along with the rest of the necessary staff, already making his way there.
“satoru,” geto says when he’s about to hang up, voice falling serious. the tone that said listen and not just let it go one ear and out the other. “you know it’s possible they want something with her that has nothing to do with the family.”
he didn’t say it as a question but rather as a fact. the family paid good money to the police department in order to keep them out of their hair. it has been that way for years now, it wasn’t anything new or a line that got crossed, both sides knowing their place. a ‘don’t get in my way and i won’t get in yours’ kind of deal.
it was something satoru considered but it honestly didn’t matter to him what they wanted. they shouldn’t have been there and they shouldn’t have been bothering you or fucking touching you.
“so?”
“so,” suguru pauses before continuing, as if gojo should know what he’s about to say. “whatever they want with her isn’t our business and we shouldn’t make it our business. we have enough to deal with. and anyways, it got you what you wanted, didn't it?”
you in his apartment, in his bed, quelling his crush on you like he had the few other women he’d found himself attracted to like this, suguru is referring to, like trying to calm his friend down but right now, satoru doesn’t know if it’s the same, if that's what he wants. if anything tonight, being this close to you, has only made him want to get to know you more, be around you more - which was an ailment he may have been suffering from this whole time, only realizing it now.
and the thought of not seeing you or talking to you again after tonight..
with his free hand running through white locks and a blink of thick lashes to try to shake this off, not sure what to do or make of this revelation and not going to attempt to right now, he turns around to head back inside but suddenly it's as if the world is slowing, though his heart did not get the memo with every pounding beat, at the sight he's met with on the other side of the glass doors, making him hang up the phone after letting out a barely audible ‘gotta go.’
Tumblr media
in the endless choices of designer clothes you had opted for a large, soft sweater and the spandex shorts you were thankful you wore under your dress tonight. it was impossible that any of satorus pants were going to fit you but with the size of his clothes on you, the hem of his shirt resting on your mid thigh and past the length of your tight shorts, you were covered enough for comfort.
when you came out of his room and down the winding set of stairs leading back to the space that served as his kitchen and living room, your cheeks flushed from the peak you took at his large bed and the thoughts you had about being in that bed, he was nowhere to be found.
so you took in your surroundings with slow steps, the sleek decor and open space of this huge rooftop apartment with floor to ceiling windows lining two walls showing a beautiful skyline of the city that leaves you breathless. you spot the snowy white of his hair outside along the sparkling little lights below, his cell phone pressed to his ear and his back to you.
a part of you is glad you have a moment to yourself even if you wished he was in here. when satoru suggested you go to his apartment for the rest of the night, a flash in your mind of what exactly that meant both excited you and made you nervous.
you couldn’t deny that the thought of kissing those glossy pink lips and feeling even more of him than you had when he had you pressed against him at the club left a lick of flames kindling in your core but there was something awaking in your heart too and it feels like you’re already in trouble. already falling. that there might be no ‘getting satoru gojo out of your system.’
leaving him to finish what you assume is a work call, you decide to do what you couldn’t in his bedroom and look a little more closely at what’s around you. snoop around, if you were being honest but it’s not like you were digging through the drawers.
the kitchen is spotless, like he hardly touched it aside from the half eaten bowl of candy where you thought a fruit bowl might go if this were a magazine. you doubt satoru did much cooking anyways and chuckle to yourself at the thought that you haven’t actually seen him eat anything other than treats until tonight at limitless.
the living room is a little more telling that someone actually occupies this space; blankets on each side of the plush sectional couch, a set of gaming headphones on the coffee table next to a water bottle and controller and another bowl of shiny wrapped candies.
a shelf built into the wall near the t.v. that's organized with books, video games and trinkets draws your attention and when you make your way over there, you can’t help but think of how very satoru everything feels as you read the spines of the books and video game cases and admire his collectibles that look like they were rare and expensive.
there’s one picture there too, small and aged and propped up against what looked like an old school book. a short brown haired woman stands between a young satoru and another tall boy with black hair that’s tied baack. even though satoru isn’t in the middle he has his long arm around both of them, squishing them more to one side of the frame by pressing his palm into the other boy's head obnoxiously.
yes, it was interesting how pictures could make you feel. even when you didn’t know some of the people within them, you could feel the cherished memories, the love, and it made your chest light, even with the hole in your heart throbbing.-
“you look so cute in my clothes y/n,” satorus voice, so close and coming out of nowhere when you weren’t expecting it makes you jump in surprise but the shock to your system was more from the call of your name than the fright he gave you.
you never minded his ridiculous nicknames, even when they flustered you more than you would like to admit, but something about the way he says your name is like nothing else.
when you quickly turn around, you realize he’s even closer than you thought. so close you can feel his warmth, smell the night air on him, could reach up and touch his hair if you thought you could move under his towering figure but it was impossible to do when he captivated you like this and invaded your personal space without a care.
“say sugar, you like video games, right?” he asks as if this little distance between you isn’t affecting him at all aside from the light pink dusting his cheeks. maybe it wasn’t from you but from the cold night air outside.
how had he even slipped in without you noticing? were you that caught in your thoughts?
unable to find your words you can only nod, feeling your heart stop completely when he smiles like you’ve never seen before. it’s boyish and sparkling but softer than his normal mischievous grin.
“want to make a bet?”
if you weren’t so hypnotized by him you might have thought more about how good of an idea it was to make a bet with him, what kind of trouble it might get you into, but it’s impossible not to indulge him with the way he’s looking at you.
“what kind of bet?” you ask, finally finding your voice even if it is bashful and quiet.
satoru puts a bit of distance between you, taking a step back, his quirked up lips turning mischievous, telling you that he already thought he won said bet. “play a game with me. if you win, i’ll give you anything you want.”
knowing him you believe he meant absolutely anything but whatever you could possibly ask for was hardly on your mind when all you wanted to know was what he wanted from you.
“and if you win?” you hate how breathless you sound as the words slip past your lips.
“heh,” in one long stride he’s in your space again, nearly chest to chest if he weren’t so tall, thick white lashes fluttering as he looks down at your lips. “if i win, i want a kiss.”
✧˚ · .
the smell of warm chocolate fills the air, the heat of the oven bringing the apartment up a few degrees but aside from the brownies baking in the kitchen another heat is brewing in front of the t.v. where satorus knee knocks against yours in time with the mercedes he picked as his cart in mario kart 8 speeding in front of your cart while avoiding a banana peel and drifting through the curve without coming near the edge.
“better catch up if you want to win, sweets,” he teases but with the concentration he’s kept on the screen since the start of every race you don’t think that’s what he actually wants and truthfully, it’s not what you want either knowing what’s waiting for you if you are to lose but you simply can’t let him win so easily.
you were only a few points behind in the cup overall, coming in second in the first race and then first - if only barely - and then second again right behind him but he wasn’t going to let you win easily either or at all, if he had anything to say about it you were starting to realize.
he had been uncharacteristically quiet through most of the races, teasing you when you lost to him twice and pouting when you won but no matter which it was, he had to be touching you in some way. poking at your cheek when you told him you almost had him and he quipped back, rubbing his arm along yours, slowly, feather light, at the three second countdown till all the racers took off.
“don’t be so sure you’ll win satoru,” you giggle in reply to him, feeling your insides fluttering wildly, and let your bare thigh rest against his now covered by the sweats he had changed into, catching up to him easily using your three mushrooms one right after the other.
“oh, i’ll win angel.”
you’re thankful his eyes are on the screen and not your heated face at the way he called you. though when he speeds far ahead of you again, going off of a jump and shaking his controller, you wonder if perhaps he did it on purpose to slow you down. or if he even noticed he said it at all.
you begin to feel your resolve slip on the last lap as you continue to glance over at him despite your best effort not to, at his beautiful lips and enchanting eyes and the adorable smile on his face. before you realize it you’ve finished the race in forth place, falling from second to third overall on the board. satoru reigning in first.
satoru stares at the television but your eyes are only on him. the jingle of music plays in the palpable silence between you but it feels as quiet as a hum in your ears against the beating of the butterflies throughout your stomach and up your chest, each flap of their little wings becoming like lightning when he turns to face you with a victorious smirk.
“told ya,” he says with a wink and that teasing tone you know all too well. “now you have to kiss me.”
you feel like a deer caught in bright lights, big eyed and unable to move, lips parted to help you take shallow breaths while the world around you seems to still aside from satoru and yourself but you’re caught in a universe all your own. a universe crafted by the impact of butterflies wings that collide, bursting and burning, within you and the stars in his eyes that you swear are just for you.
“unless you want to take back our b-” he goads when you don’t move but you’re quick, too quick for your liking, to interrupt him.
“i don’t.”
so slowly you move, neither of you saying a word as he shifts to face you and you twist in your spot next to him. for a moment that he might have thought was you hesitating, you just take him in, letting the warm feeling his lovely expression gives you flood throughout your body. reaching to meet his height with a push on your toes against the rug under the couch and the arm holding you upright that is pressed into the couch cushion near your bum. the warmth of his breath now on your skin, the beating of a heart in your ears but you don’t know if it's his or yours.
“sweet eager girl.”
his words are so quiet you wonder if you imagined them but before you can ponder it for even a moment longer, satoru is leaning down to meet your lips, not letting you move another inch as he kisses you, soft and sweet and lips perfectly slotted against your own. a large, warm, palm cups your cheek, coaxes your jaw to slacken and the way he handles you, letting the taste of his tongue melt on your tastebuds just to be met with a delicate kiss the next moment is near drugging.
it all ends too soon and perhaps not soon enough when you go to reach for him, any part of him because god you thought you might die if you didn’t feel more of him, but are stopped at the chirp of satorus phone timer going off letting you know the brownies you had put in the oven before starting you game were finished.
hesitantly, trembling more than you wish you were, you pull away from him, hating the loss of his hand on your face, and see on his pale cheeks that his skin is as hot as yours feels, dusting his handsome features in a pink that complimented his heavy lidded cerulean eyes and disheveled snowy hair.
you have no doubt you’re in a no better state and seeing him like this is almost enough to completely forget about why you were forced to pull away in the first place but the persistent alarm going off on the glass coffee table in front of you wasn’t going to stop on its own and the treats you had made to share from a box brownie mix he had in his pantry were going to be over cooked if you didn’t get them soon.
“i’ll get them,” satoru breaks the silence between you, a bit breathless and with a smile you aren’t sure you’ve seen on him before. you think a lot of his smiles are genuine but something about this one seemed especially so. like one he couldn’t help or control even if he tried but also like he hadn’t been able in a long time.
with your lips still tingling and wet from his tongue, you watch him as he gets up and turns off the timer on his phone, locking eyes with him and sharing one more kiss, chaste and fleeting, before he’s heading to the kitchen and pulling the brownies out of the oven, his back muscles stretching along the fabric of his black t-shirt with his movements.
of course he doesn’t even wait for them to cool down before he’s cutting into them and scooping a big heap of vanilla ice cream on top, one of the only items in his freezer, grabbing one bowl and two spoons before making his way back to the couch where you share your treat while scrolling through movies, trying to stop him from giving you too many spoilers about ones that look interesting before finally deciding on one to watch.
the moment his spoon clinks against yours in the empty bowl, just as the movie was starting, satoru doesn’t waste a moment pulling you into his arms with surprising strength, not that you were fighting it, and throws a blanket over you both, keeping you pressed close to him. but you hardly made it through half the movie before you were fast asleep in his arms, feeling his breaths fall in time with yours as the sands of sleep cradled you in a dream of crystalline eyes that sparkle like stars in a once dark and lonely desert.

I scrolled through AO3 and JJK fandom seems to be missing something.
1. Gege-sensei said that Satoru is spoiled (instead of whatever dumpster fire Kamo and Zen'ins are up to with their kid so far) so probably he, as a 17-ish y.o is gonna tell his mom "mommy, I adopted a kid"
And as a Gojo-Matriach (or at least the Clan Leader's wife) , A Sorcerer Clanswomen adept in political sh*t, there's no way Satoru's mom won't see Megumi being in Gojo-clan as a boon, for Satoru himself and for her own clan.
And she would know that her 17 y.o, spoiled-ass son, won't be able to keep two kids alive, heck he couldn't even cook at that point! The servants washes their clothes! Not him!
Imagine her initially wanted to help taking care of the kids due to political means. I.e. Megumi as a Zen'in child, (and Tsumiki, sigh. Non-sorcerer but a beautiful girl, no matter, it's fine, still moldable into a yamato nadeshiko),
Suddenly her motherly instinct kicks in seeing two abandoned children and instead of being a papa, Satoru ended up having two additional siblings.
With a more mature adult taking care of them (and probably set Megumi with a child therapist for his abandonment issue) Tsumiki won't be in a coma because she would know the dangers of Jujutsu World, and Megumi would be more well adjusted with a stability on his life, not resulting to FurubeYuraYura-ing Kamikaze move everytime something goes wrong.
__
TLDR: I need "Satoru's Mom is being Megumi and Tsumiki's Mom AU" fics.
