Manga Master List: Recommendations and My Personal Wish List

!!//PLEASE READ//!!

Below is every manga from my amazon wishlist I would recommend(as of February 11 2021) with a picture and a 3-5 sentence explanation of what the manga is about. Underneath will also be the number of volumes I have read, the number I own, and it’s status of ongoing or complete and how many volumes it has. This way you can decide for yourself if you think I have read enough of it to give an accurate recommendation.

This list only includes manga you can purchase (including digital purchases) from the wishlist. I decided that I would in fact include my personal amazon manga wishlist here and at the bottom for people to buy THEMSELVES a copy of any of these manga they would like. Keep in mind many of these won’t have volume 1 in the list but you should be able to get to the series page from the list. If a manga shows up on the amazon list that I did not include in this one that is because I have not read enough of them(or any of them) to recommend. Ok? Cool, enjoy the list!!

1. The Girl from the Other side is about a little girl living with a gentleman monster. It is a supernatural mystery with beautiful art.

Series: Ongoing at 9 volumes

2. Pumpkin Scissors is a military fantasy about a War Veteran named Randal Oland who joins the pumpkin scissors core to help with war relief and uncover the deep corruption of the government. It is similar in themes to FMA in the sense it appears to be based on a World War, and corruption of government but it more focused on the power of the noble houses in government. There is also a fun science element but it is not as in focus as in FMA. The two but are very very different overall tho. Only 5 volumes were distributed in physical English copies as the publishing company went bankrupt, all others are only available digitally. (I couldn’t get the manga vol. 1 cover to work so the picture above is a poster for the anime)

3. Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun is a slice of life about a bunch of highschoolers. Nozaki is the mangaka of a popular Shoujo manga who uses his personal experiences with friends to create his monthly comic series. It is a fun gender stereotype reversal manga with a large cast of both male and female characters (one could be HC as genderfluid but she’s still canonically female at this time) The manga is one of the easiest to read as the panels are mostly in straight down rectangles so the pages are extremely easy to follow and is very funny.

Status: Ongoing at 12 volumes

4. Yu-Gi-Oh! is well known to be about the card game yu-gi-oh, using magic and myths to further the story, HOWEVER, Yu-gi-oh! is the “Season 0″ of the series it is much darker than to be expected and there is no card game. The Yu-gi-oh most are familiar with is Yu-gi-oh Duelist (just found this out myself) and is the Yu-gi-oh you probably already know. There is no overarching plot to this mini series it is just Yugi fucking shit up playing games and destroying some bullies. I have yet to read any of Duelist as of the creation of this post therefore I cannot recommend it :/

5. The Way of the House Husband is about a former yakuza who gets married and flips his script. He becomes a house husband for his working wife and carries on doing chores and errands while still looking and acting scary unintentionally and getting himself in trouble. It is a slice of life comedy with some adult jokes but is over all extremely funny and pleasant to read.

Status: Ongoing at 7 volumes

6. Hikaru no Go is about a highschool boy who finds a haunted Go board. He meets the ghost who once was a prolific Go player. Together they work to become a world class Go champion meeting new people along the way. This series was cut short due to legal issues with a real Go player and therefore will remain unfinished but the story that is there is golden. It is still one of the most popular manga in Japan.

Status: Complete at 23 Volumes

7. Zatch Bell! This manga is about a teenager named Kiyo who gets sent a young boy with amnesia named Zatch Bell who turns out to be an alien called a momodo. Now the two must battle other momodo in order to understand what happened to Zatch and to make Zatch the new king. Along the way they make many friends and save both the momodo and human worlds. This one is difficult because it is a classic that did not do well in America so the volumes are expensive and the series is unfinished in English. You can only buy 27 of the volumes in English and a few of them are almost impossible to find, however it is well worth the money if you can afford it and it is available online.

Status: Complete at 33 Volumes only 27 printed in English (you can finish series online)

8. Fullmetal Alchemist is a cult classic most have read it, watched the series, or heard of it at the very least. This is one of the most popular Manga of all time and for good reason. The manga is about 2 brothers Alphonse and Edward on a journey to return their bodies to normal after committing the taboo of human transmutation. The manga has themes of racism, government corruption and manipulation of the military. The versions on my wishlist are the special Fullmetal Editions so they will have a different price point and volume number than the regular volumes or the omnibuses’

Status: Complete at 27 Volumes

9. Princess Jellyfish is about a young woman who is sort of an outcast otaku living with 5 other otaku women. She has a deep love for jellyfish as they remind her of her late mother. She meets a beautiful woman who turns out to be a male college student and slowly comes out of her shell making new friends and growing with old ones as well. This manga is very sweet and I really don’t know what else to say haha.

Status: Complete at 17 volumes

10. !!!HUGE TW FOR EATING DISORDERS!!! In Clothes Called Fat is a, oneshot, non romanticizing story of an office woman trying to lose weight and developing several eating disorders in the process. She goes through hardships in relationships and bullying as well. It has a bittersweet ending and should be read with caution but it is beautifully done. Please do not read this if you are under the age 16 at the very youngest there are NSFW moments as well as just generally not being a topic for younger audiences.

Status: Completed one shot

11. My LOVE Story!! Is an adorable Slice of Life shojo about a highschooler named Takeo Gouda, his girlfriend Yamato, and his best friend and hear throb Suna. This series is rather refreshing as the relationship starts pretty much immediately, the best friend is very supportive, and it is focused on Takeo’s personality over looks as he is often compared in manga to a gorilla or bear. It is a generally heart warming story with some emotional side plots. The ending is sort of sudden but it’s really enjoyable.

Own: 6 (1-3,8,10-12)

Status: Completed at 13 Volumes

12. Soul Eater is pretty popular but if you don’t know what it is about it is about a Weapon named Soul and his Meister Maka. They attend a school that teaches them how to defeat people before they turn into Demons, saving the world in the process. Once a weapon eats 100 evil souls and a witches soul they can become the new death Scythe! That is the plot presented, and it of course goes off into a much more complicated storyline. It is super fun and engaging with a fascinating plot near the end.

Status: Completed at 25 Volumes

13. D. Gray-Man is a little complicated. Similarly to Soul Eater D. Gray-Man is a story based around defeating people turned demon and the saving of the world through an organization, however the plot gets very complicated very quickly. The art is some of the most interesting and beautifully fun art I’ve come across and the characters are (so far as I’ve read) all amazing. The story has a lot of christian influence and is one you have to really keep up with to understand but I recommend it regardless!

Status: Ongoing at 27 Volumes

14. One-Punch Man is also very popular and is about a man who becomes so strong he only needs to punch you once to completely annihilate you, and it greatly annoys him. This manga greatly touches on the themes of self worth as Saitama becomes a hero that no one seems to want. The fights are fun and engaging, tho at times can be difficult to read. The art is gorgeous, with some of the most heavily detailed work I have ever seen.

Status: Ongoing at 21 Volumes

15. The Boy and The Beast is the manga adaptation of the movie by the same name. This is a bittersweet story about a boy who finds a family in the land of the beasts and the repercussions of this intermixing. It is sweet and sad and there’s not much else to say, but that it is a beautifully crafted story.

Read: 1 (but I’ve seen the movie and read the light novel)

Status: Complete at 4 Volumes

16. MAR is not a manga I should be recommending as I genuinely don’t think I have read enough of the story to do so but I love it so much I’m going to anyway. MAR is a classic Isekai Shonen, a kid goes through a door into another world and has to fight a war to save it, there is a super fun magic system and some wonderful story building with genuinely enjoyable characters and battles. I am recommending this more based off the anime than the manga itself because it was one of my absolute favorites when I was younger, so take from that what you will! This manga has the same issue Zatch Bell does however, the series did not do amazingly so the volumes can be expensive!

Chapter 9: We should just kiss

You and Spencer have been dating for almost a year now. Or as he would put it and 10 months 29 days and 4 hours.

After your first night together, you woke up and headed directly to headquarters after a minor detour to shower together again per Spencer’s request. That ends up making you a little more late than you wanted to be so you end up ignoring your coworkers, making a beeline for hotch’s office.

“What’s that all about?” Derek asks as he watches the two of you enter Hotch’s office, shutting the door.

“They’re probably going to tell Hotch they’re dating.” Emily says, not looking up from her file.

“What?” Derek says at the same time as Garcia says “You knew?” He looks at Garcia incredulously, “Knew?”

“Sorry, I was sworn to secrecy. But I only found out a month or so ago.” Garcia shrugs. “How did you know?”

“Come on, I'd be bad at my job if I didn’t notice the immediate pining looks change to smiles.” She laughs, giving Derek a pointed look. “I had suspicions but they were confirmed when she snuck out of our hotel room in Arkansas last month.”

“Plus did you see that football sized hickey on her neck just now?” JJ adds, inducing a laugh from the group. The two of you came back to the group then after a very awkward conversation with Hotch that he kept staring at your neck for. You thought you did a good job covering it but apparently not enough because as soon as you walked in he just reached into his desk drawer handing you both the office relationship form with a simple ‘Don’t let it get in the way of work.’

“What’s so funny?” You ask.

“Nothing important.” Emily smiles. “Congratulations though.” She says, nodding towards your hands you didn’t realize were joined together. You both flush, immediately letting go of each other.

You meet Diana around month 6.

You end up with a case around Reno at the time and Spencer asks to stay an extra day to visit his Mom. Hotch approves the both of you to stay behind, assuming you are going with him.

“You don’t have to, Y/N.” he says, nervously. “You can go back if you want.”

“Well, what do you want, dear?” You ask, looking up from the book you were reading. “Because, I’d love to meet your mother but only if you’re ready.” you emphasize to him. You knew how protective Spencer was of his mother and you were aware of her diagnosis. You’d understand completely if he wanted to wait to introduce the two of you.

“No, I want her to meet you. I just, never thought I’d be in this situation.”

“What do you mean?” You ask.

“Being in a relationship.” He says. “Loving someone enough I want people important to me to also love them. I just never thought it was in the cards for me.”

You look at Spencer with a soft expression. Despite how he was sometimes with you, you could tell Spencer wasn’t the most confident. You would never understand why, you loved him. You couldn’t even imagine not wanting Spencer in your life.

You sit your book down and level him with a heavy look “Come here.” You say, from your position on the bed. Spencer, not needing much convincing immediately lays on top of you. You proceed to show him exactly how much you love him that night.

The two of you walk into the care facility hand in hand. You’re immediately greeted by the front desk nurse. “Spencer!” She says, happily. She immediately takes note of the joined hands and smirks. “And who is this?”

“This is Y/N, my girlfriend.” He says, smiling brightly. You instantly extend a hand to shake the woman's hand. “I was hoping to introduce her to my mom today. Is it a bad time?” He asks.

“No, honey, she’s having a good day today. She’s reading in the common room if you’d like to head back.” Spencer nods his thanks before leading you back there.

Spencer scans the room quickly before landing on his mom, she gives him a bright smile. Spencer immediately speed walks towards her, pulling you in tow, you practically have to jog to keep up.

“Spencer.” She immediately holds her arms out, Spencer letting you go to hug her.

“Hey mom.” He says, he turns back to you, and you're standing awkwardly waiting for him to introduce you. “Mom this is--”

“Dr. Y/N Y/L/N.” She cuts him off, smiling at you.

You reach your arm out to shake her hand, which she mainly just holds for a second before releasing you. “It’s very nice to meet you, ma’am.” you add.

“Diana.” She corrects before turning to Spencer. “Your letters were right, she’s very pretty.” She smiles at the flush that spreads across both of your faces.

The three of you sit and make small talk, updating Diana about your lives separately and together. Eventually, Diana speaks up. “Spencer, why don’t you go talk to Dr. Callahan before you go. I’m sure Y/N doesn’t mind keeping me company.”

Spencer looks at you hesitantly, you nod at him. “We’ll be fine. Go.” You smile, he smiles back at you before heading out the conference room.

You and Diana sit in comfortable silence for a minute before she speaks “Your nails are such a pretty color.”

“Thanks!” You say, before adding excitedly. “I keep the polish in my bag, I can paint your nails if you want.” You say before rummaging in your purse pulling out the aforementioned polish. She smiles and nods at you holding out her hand to you. You instantly got to work.

“Do you always carry around polish?” She asks.

You shrug. “When you’ve got a job like ours you have to. Guns aren’t really kind enough to not chip your polish.” You laugh, she joins you.

“This is nice.” She says. You tilt your head, questioningly. “Girl talk, I never got it with Spencer. And frankly, I never thought I would.”

You smile. “Well, I’m not going anywhere Diana, so you can get your girl talk from me whenever.” You chuckle, she laughs with you.

“He loves you, you know that.”

“I love him.” You look her in the eyes so she’d know you were being genuine. “Spencer is the best thing to ever happen to me and you raised a wonderful son and partner.”

She looks at you misty eyed, patting your hand affectionately, before letting you get back to work. You’re talking and laughing so much the two of you don’t even notice Spencer watching the both of you in the doorway of the common room with a smile on his face.

Spencer accidentally meets Persephone at 9 months.

You had gone to your college roommate’s baby shower which had taken longer than you thought so you asked Spencer to go to your apartment to feed Garbage. Upon entering he heard noise in the kitchen, he didn’t see your car out so he knew it wasn’t you. He pulled his gun out to investigate and well…

That’s the story of how Spencer almost shot your godmother.

When you came home, you walked into the sight of Spencer and your godmother sitting around your table having tea.

“Persephone!” You say, surprised. She’s instantly up from her spot at the kitchen table, hugging you tightly. “I thought you were still in Tibet.”

She smiles at you. “No, dear. I’ve decided to go to Puerto Rico and help with hurricane relief. I thought I’d take a brief detour to come see you but ended up running into Spencer here.” She turns and smiles at him before leveling you with narrowed eyes. “Who you failed to mention in your letters.” She says, with a pointed look.

“I’m sorry, Phone.” You say, “Life’s been hectic, I just couldn’t find the words. But this is Spencer.” You say walking towards him, settling in the seat next to him. “My boyfriend.” You settle your hand on top of his, he squeezes you in return.

Persephone was very much the opposite of your mother. She had long dreads fashioned with gold beads and shells tied back typically with a bandana. She believed in spirituality, often trying to read your palm or tarot most of your life and you always found her meditating or doing yoga when you would come home in your teenage year. She was a free spirit that didn’t match your mom’s strict demeanor and regime at all.

Yet they were best friends.

Having met in college and your mother being forced to tutor her in economics, the pair quickly became lifelong friends eventually making her Maid of Honor at her and Noah’s wedding and Y/N’s godmother. She had taught Alice how to loosen up and Alice taught her many things like caring for others before herself. After her passing, Persephone dedicated her life to helping others as well as raising Alice and Noah’s daughter. Not that much ‘raising’ went on, you were a very independent child. Just like your mother.

Persephone sits and has tea with you guys for a while before announcing her flight is leaving soon. The two of you offer to take her to the airport but she refuses your offer so you opt to just walk her out.

“It was nice to see you, Persephone.” You say, hugging her as she leaves.

“You too, sweetheart.” she says, before leaning to whisper to you. “Hold on to that one, He seems to keep you balanced.”

“Trust me, I am.” you smile.

Fights happen. Just like with any other couple.

When you first move in together at 10 months they happen a lot as you adjust to each other's habits. Like Spencer never hanging up his towel or you leaving your makeup on the bathroom sink. But you get used to it as you get used to each other.

Sex is good, great even. You’d never been with a guy who was so intuitive of your body. He treated you like you were a puzzle he had to solve every night. Finding new ways to get you off, what you liked, didn’t like, what made you mad. Sometimes he’d just tease you for hours until you were begging for his cock. Sometimes you’d push his buttons all day just so as soon as you got home, he’d lay you on the nearest surface and fuck you until it was hard to walk the next morning. Sometimes he was brutal, leaving bruises you weren’t aware were forming at the time and most times, he was doting. Treating you like you were the most fragile yet most important thing in his life because, well, sometimes you were.

The nightmares never stopped. You were foolish to think now that Spencer was in your bed every night they would. You’d wake up gasping most nights, thankfully not waking Spencer, then you’d make a cup of tea to calm yourself down before joining him back in bed. Some nights, you’d wake up screaming. For your parents, Spencer, anyone. He’d wake up then, instantly cradling you in his arms while you sobbed into his bare shoulder.

Thankfully, it doesn’t affect your work like you thought being an open couple would. If anything it made you work better together which is why Hotch sent the both of you on this case today. You were to go undercover as social workers to investigate what you believed to be a cult.

You were interviewing some of the children when the first shots rang out and you two and the social worker you had come with were ushered in a tunnel underground with the other women and children. You were trying to keep your cover and remain calm but you couldn’t help but look at Spencer in worry. The woman you had come in with had been shot and it was starting to look like Waco in here. Spencer was looking back at you with the same look, praying this wouldn’t be the last moment you had together because you couldn’t hold each other like you wanted to.

The leader came in later with his goons storming up to you and Spencer. “You know, I just heard something real interesting on the news.” He said, casting a dark look to the both of you. “That there are two FBI agents being held hostage inside. Now, imagine my shock when I saw that because as i was told by the two of you, there was only one and that she was dead on the floor. So…” his goons leveled their guns at you. “Who is it?”

Though you hadn’t necessarily shared your thoughts with Spencer, you’d hoped he came to the same conclusion you had regarding the man’s profile. He was a narcissist and charismatic sure, but he was violent and willing to do whatever it took to get his way. You also knew he wouldn’t kill a woman. Sure, he’d hurt and maim but you knew if he found out Spencer was an agent, he would kill him, no hesitation.

You knew what you had to do.

“Me.” you said instantly “It’s me.” Spencer tries to not blow the cover you just gave him but he looks at you with a shocked pained look. “I’m Agent Y/N Y/L/N.”

The man’s goons look at him for instruction. He gestures for them to lower their guns and you think for a second you’ll be fine. But then the man is gripping you roughly by your hair dragging you out the room by your roots while Spencer watches in horror.

The first hit takes you by surprise, it shouldn't have, you knew it was coming as soon as he dragged you into a room alone. It was best to not fight back so you just became his punching bag. You knew the team had to be listening to what was happening to you, you knew they’d risk the whole case if it meant getting you out of danger. You needed a way to let them know you were fine.

“I can take it.” You say, to the air really. “I can take it.”

“You can take it, huh?” The man grabs your hair roughly again before landing another punch.

You were now captive alone in a room. Of course you’d prefer not to be but if you were comparing rooms you’ve been captive in at least the digs here were sweeter.

You’d found a way to get in communication with Derek, with you moving the blinds with your boot to speak and him using morse code. You were suddenly thankful for that weekend Spencer got bored and forced you to learn morse code because now you knew there was a bomb and they were planning on setting it off with everyone inside.

You had to get out, but more importantly you had to get these women and children out first which made you try to break down the woman who was checking on you’s defenses. You knew she was the one who made the call to social services in the first place. You knew you could get her to do the right thing if it meant protecting the children. So you made her aware of your plan, get the women and children back into the tunnels and out of the compound before all hell could break loose.

You could really only hope Spencer was holding his own.

Spencer had made it out just barely in time and not in the best of shape that didn’t stop him from immediately looking for you. He searched around frantically until his eyes landed on the woman he knew made the 911 call, corralling a bunch of children. He approached her hoping she knew something.

“The agent he took earlier. Where is she?” he asked, panicked.

“She came with us but we lost one of the toddlers she ran back inside to get him. I never saw her come back out.” She said sadly.

Spencer’s eyes leveled back to the burning building trying to keep his tears at bay. He was a scientist, he knew the odds if she had truly gone back inside considering where the blast was located she couldn’t have survived. He choked as heavy sobs racked through him, turning away from the building because he couldn’t watch the sight of something that had taken the love of his life. He was so distraught he almost didn’t catch the melodic voice behind him.

“I’m sure we can find you a new stuffed lamb, honey.” You say to the 5 year old cradled in your arms. There’s a reason you're not a firefighter. You were not cut out for the running into burning buildings business, you felt fine but you were sure you’d be coughing up black for days. You approached the back of the ambulance. “Can you go with this nice man for me? He’s going to make you feel all better, alright?” The child nods shyly into your neck before you hand him off to the EMT. You look around before your eyes land instantly on Spencer, who looked like he’d been crying. You couldn’t help the stray tears they fell from your face as you jogged (well, limped) towards him. He instantly wrapped his arms around your waist letting you cling tightly to his shoulders.

“Are you okay?” you ask.

“Am I okay?” He says, incredulously. “Yea, I’m fine Y/N. Are you ok?” He says, you nod.

“A little sore but I’m fine.” You wipe the stray tears from his face. “What’s wrong?”

“They said you ran back in. I- I thought--”

“I’m not.” You assure him, knowing what he was about to say. “I’m alright, Spen.”

“Marry me.”

That makes you stop in your tracks. You look him in his eyes, they’re soft and genuine looking back at you. “What?” you say.

He reaches into his jacket's upper pocket, producing a ring. “I was going to wait until our anniversary, I was going to take you back to the planetarium and rent it out so we could have it to ourselves. I had a whole idea but considering how you like to scare me every couple months with a near death experience.” You chuckle slightly at the annoyance in his voice. Before he looks back at you with so much love and admiration. “I can’t live another second without you knowing I want you to be my wife so…” He gets down on one knee. It’s not at all how you pictured your proposal, definitely not with cop lights flashing and ambulance sirens, and the smell of burning wood. But because it’s Spencer. Because it’s you. And because you’re both still breathing and alive. It’s perfect. Just like everything always seems to be when you’re together. “Will you marry me, please?” he asked again.

“Yes.” You say. “Of course.” You add laughing. He slips the ring on your finger and doesn’t even feel like extra weight on your hand. In fact it feels like for the first time in your life, it’s right. He sweeps you into a bruising kiss. You don’t even notice the team watching and smiling, misty eyed. Only thing you notice is the comforting weight of Spencer near you and how in that exact moment the world feels still.

Lex’s Big Gay I Love You End of the Year Post

the title says what this is in itself. I’m including some of the baddest biddies I’ve met this year through this hellsite, if you’re not tagged in this don’t get mad at me I’m doing this off the top of my head okay. I tried my best to include everyone I could think of, but as I’ve said time and time again my memory is absolute ass

To start this off I have to mention the best of the best (i said what i said) my little sister, my lovebug, the bitch I’d drive 10 hours to beat up if we weren’t in a panoramic @dmonchld. Rae ban I love you so much, we met in like June and im so glad you came into my inbox and sent me askies everyday bc id die for you.

ofc i have to go with @babytkachuks next bc uhm mamas we met the same day as that hectic ass facetime call and now we’ve survived like 3-4 groupchats? i think that solidifies our friendship in so many ways. Just wondering,why do you think nobody has forced zayn to post about the baby? And is that a good thing or do you think he’s in trouble for it?

It is an interesting question, thank you for asking.

I think a lot of the reason he's been able to get away with it so far is the fact that they've been pushing this crap about him hating social media alongside him being an extremely private person.

A lot of the fans don't even question his lack of 'excitement'/posting because of his anxiety and the slow reduction over the past year of his social media presence. One of the articles that was questioning why zayn wasn't there went on to say that it 'isn't anything out of the ordinary. Its not really about him- he's not the one gestating a baby' [essentially saying hes irrelevant to the posts] and going on to talk about how he's 'notoriously private' and prefers being 'out of the mix' and saying their desire for privacy will only intensify, which is utter bullshit if Giggles latest posts are anything to go off- she's actually getting less and less private.

Also a lot of the baby related posts are all linked directly back to giggles, and rarely Zayn, we've only had 2 posts linking Zayn to being the father and the rest was a shit ton of articles. There's not many people questioning why he hasn't said anything, they're mostly just [alarmingly creepily] idolising his supposed child. They've never questioned his absence BC the relationship has always been tailored to favour giggles and make her out to be this amazing person.

All of a sudden giggles is the most amazing person and a Queen and the best everything. No one wants to remember a single bad thing she's done. I mean they don't question a single thing because they idolise her and her relationship so much they forget how badly this whole things has been played out through the drastic changes in bumps between pictures and don't even get me started on the shambles of the dates and timeline of this mess.

Also I'm not sure how well thought out and planned this whole thing was or whether it was a last minute decision of yes, there's quarantine and its more difficult to stunt so how can we carry this on??? Oh perfect quarantine baby announcement so people can't see the same patterns and flaws from the last two baby gates! [Or I also have the theory about how she may be pregnant [not zayns ofc] and that she fell pregnant around the time this one was announced randomly at 5 months in the middle of lockdown???? Like that's not weird at all...] Like you're trying to tell me she would be careless enough to get pregnant whilst being at the "peak" of her career and was unsure if Zayn was 'the one'... Okayyyyy.

Out of all the Hadids the only one who has explicitly used Zayn's name is Bella in her recent, and that was most likely to promo her new Versace perfume but z*gis didn't see how odd that was and ate that shit up BC omg Bella mentioned Zayn, couple goals!1!! The only other real indication they've had for Zayn being the dad is that hella photo shopped post giggles posted captioned as baby daddy and so now no one is questioning Zayn for not responding because the mother of the child confirmed it and they're obviously loved up and there's nothing else left to question at all is there?

Tbf though with all three of the baby gates it has never been made out to be about the 'father', they get next to nothing out of it. It has always been tailored to suit whatever narrative or promo the 'mother' needs because its all about the fame for them and what they can get out of it and just like hardly anyone questions [other than larries, ziammies or people who can see past the lies] Louis or Liam's involvement in their children's lives, unless theyre hating and calling them a deadbeat [once again proving they get nothing out of this but the 'mothers' do].

Giggles has proven time and time again that she loves capitalising off Zayns name, e.g. Mohameds recent [deleted post]- who started trending? G*gi and Z*gi, but not Zayn???? Why??? and then surprise surprise Giggles makes a post... And then, the first thing she does after Zayns posts a selfie after months of silence... The baby daddy post... And people don't even question this shit because being happy for Zayn means they love him so much!!1!!1!1!!! Like its funny how in this whole thing, everyone BUT Zayn has been getting some sort of promo from it. Seriously, go onto google, search Zayn and go on the news bar, not a single article there is Zayn centric, its all about Giggles or the 'pregancy' and Hadids.

Zayn has always been second place when it comes to Z*gi, despite the fact that she has used his name to get to where she is, [you can't deny how much her profile has grown since this shit started] Zayns music gets no attention from the media unless they make it about Z*gi- this has always been about boosting Jelenas career, and its evident about how much press this baby is getting over any of Zayns projects or music.

But no of course because some can see through the lies and question if Zayn is truly happy and actually look into this shit we are fake fans because we aren't playing ball and just being blindly happy for him.

Or maybe its to make people question less if they decide to go down the route of it turning out to not be Zayns child [DNA scandal or something?] Not sure on that one though now that Bella mentioned him... Tbf tho, until Bella mentioned him, if you look back at everyone elses posts, lives or interviews they have never mentioned Zayn, only ever mentioning giggles or 'they'. Honesly, its actually amusing how giggles posted that post saying baby daddy, Zayn actively ignored it, [its not like her posts could get lost in his feed when he only follows 27 people and he couldn't spare her a like i'm-] yet Bella managed to post a picture of Gigi saying baby mama, kind of embarrassing if you ask me, love.

Its funny how he's only hates social media when it suits the narrative. He was pretty active on social media this time a year ago, posting a few times a week or at least a few times every month, and then suddenly at the start of the year he's posting a bit and then, bang- nothing. All of a sudden Zayn hates social media and doesn't post for 5 months after years of regular posts...

So he can come online to post about UFC [which I find adorable] but he can't take a minute to like his pregnant girlfriends pictures and z*gis don't even question that??? It kind of says a lot about what Zayns role in the relationship is to them. Because Giggles is the queen don't forget, Zayn has no relevance unless it suits them or she posts a picture with him, after all, all he did was get her name out there!!!1!!

No one is even questioning Zayns family's lack of response on this whole thing and some of the shade they have thrown, purely because they liked a few posts or made a comment here and there so obviously Zayn is the father and he must be so excited because his family is liking the post, oh wait but he hasn't? No that's totally normal and not questionable at all.

They think being happy for Zayn equates to genuinely caring about him, when in reality its not the case because if they truly cared and weren't so far up Jelenas arse they'd be able to tell what was true and false and whether he was truly happy or not, simple.

As for whether he is in trouble or not, its hard to tell. I should think not, with all the crap he's having to endure the least they could do is leave him in peace. But they're evil personified so chances are they could be very pissed with him and waiting for this 'baby' to be born to wreak havoc and have him super involved. I doubt that would sit well with him though because its obvious to see how difficult he has found stunting since the beginning, this would be hell for him if they made him have to be active. I do have a feeling that BC we are in the endgame of some of these stunts [some contracts may be ending soon] that they could get a lot more in your face with it...

Or maybe because Liam has taken on the engagement they'll go easier on Zayn? I just hope Zayn is not made out to be the bad guy however this ends, he deserves better.

Spencer Reid Fic Headcanons Q&A

Well, here is my nearly 7,000 words worth of answers for headcanons on my stories! Thank you to the Anons, @dreatine, and @thatgeekwhotalks for submitting so many wonderful questions! I love you all very much!

Who is always horny and will have sex at any time, at any place and at any time?

Reader. While Spencer is basically always capable of being turned on, there are many situations where he would be uncomfortable. Reader would care much less. Basically the only way she would be completely against the idea is if there were unwilling participants nearby.

Who is more seductive when they are drunk?

You’re going to see this in the story, but I’ll tell you anyway - Reader is more seductive. Spencer basically turns into a giant pile of mush that won’t stop talking about how much he loves his girlfriend. She’s the one who has to convince drunk Spencer to let her do anything, because he gets distracted every five seconds (again, distracted by telling her how much he loves his girlfriend).

Who is louder in bed?

Reader. Unless she’s gagged. There are some times when Spencer is louder (usually Sub!Spence), but Reader cares significantly less about being heard, so she’s usually louder. If they knew no one could hear them? They’d probably be evenly matched.

Who asks for more cuddles? Who’s the first to initiate cuddles?

Spencer. He’s the one who initiates more often. Reader claims she only does it because he seems like he needs them, but it’s really because she wants them; he knows and lets it go. Reader generally has a hard time admitting she needs gentle intimacy (something he is very aware of and tries to make up for). That’s why it was a big deal when she first asked him to just hold her.

Who makes fun of the other for having a crush on them, and who has to remind them that they are in a relationship?

Reader makes fun of Spencer for being sappy all the time, and he reminds her that she loves it. This cycle never ends. Even if/when (cough) they’re married, she constantly makes fun of him for being so in love with her.

Who starts a food fight in the kitchen?

READER. Spencer is disgusted (and kind of pissed lol), but also feels the undying urge to beat her. Afterwards they both clean the kitchen and each other happily.

Who initiates duets? And who is the better singer?

Reader always makes Spencer sing, even though they’re both bad at it. She’s much, much better than him, though. They like to listen to each other sing. She makes fun of him because theoretically, he should be good at singing, since he can remember all the words and how the notes go. But he sucks, and she loves how it’s one of the few things she’s better at.

Who starts the hand holding?

Spencer. Like I mentioned before, she has a really hard time requesting or initiating gentle intimacy without sex. He gives her an out by initiating it for her whenever he thinks she needs it.

Who grabs the others butt?

Tied. He grabs her butt all the time in public just because he loves how no one would ever believe that he did it. She does it because she just loves touching him. She’s not nearly as sneaky about it.

Who slides their arm around the other’s waist?

Reader puts her arm around him a lot. It’s basically a half-assed hug from her. She also does it anytime she gets even remotely sleepy.

Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?

Reader. She would basically always be holding them if he let her. He makes jokes about how she’s basically holding his pants up better than the belt (until she takes them off).

What’s something they like that may be surprising to others?

For Reader, she like to play strategy based board games with him. He didn’t believe it at first, either. For Spencer, he loves watching sitcoms with her (this will be in the story!)

Who is more likely to cheat?

I want to preface this by saying that neither would ever cheat. They both love each other very much and would both reach out to their partner before it reached that point.

That being said, Reader. Only because she is more aggressive in her pursuits. She would still have to essentially be blackout drunk, and even then I don’t think she would be able to go through with it. Spencer I could only see emotionally cheating, and even then I think he would have left Reader before it reached that point.

Dark Side

Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them?

This will be in the story! The answer is honestly both. Bambi is more of a target than Spencer, but if she ever saw someone mess with Spencer, she would definitely fight for him. Her methods are much less physical than Spencer’s, tho.

Also, Spencer would let Bambi try to fight her own battles at first. He trusts that she’s strong and capable of protecting herself.

Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?

It depends on the pun. Super technical/scientific puns are more often said by Spencer, and Bambi would cringe at most of them. When Bambi makes super technical/scientific puns (about psychology), Spencer just wants to jump her bones.

Bambi makes the pop culture references and puns that, once Spencer understands what they mean, he hates. Eventually they both start to find them genuinely hilarious.

Which one holds the umbrella over both of them when it rains?

Spencer, just because he’s taller. There are times Bambi demands to try and he just gets hit in the head a lot. He suffers through it for her, though.

If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do?

I think they would go to London.

Bambi would want to go to the Freud Museum, and Spencer would hate it. He’d spend the whole trip asking her why she bothered studying someone who’s been so discredited (despite her explaining that’s why she’s interested! And it’s history, Spencer!)

To make up for it, she would surprise him by taking him to the Down House (home of Charles Darwin). She’d also book them a private Doctor Who sightseeing tour and pay the guide extra so that Spencer could tell her everything, instead.

Who would take the pictures?

Bambi. Spencer breaks every camera he touches. He also doesn’t like being in pictures, but will take them with her (so a lot of the pictures are selfies). Occasionally he’ll snap a candid of her and she loves it even though it’s blurry. Most of the pictures taken are of their view, rather than either of them.

Spencer! This one should be pretty obvious (lmao). Although he’s less risky now than he was when he met her, he’s still pretty adventurous. She acts like she hates the idea, but she definitely is excited by it.

Who is more into taking showers/baths together? Who tries to make it relaxing and who tries to make it sexy time?

Bambi. She loves the chance to take care of him under any circumstances, which is why she tries to keep it relaxing. Problem is, someone taking care of Spencer awakes all of his urges (since it basically never happens, he’s spent his whole life taking care of other people, even his own mother), and he has to have her immediately. She usually lets him.

Who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to go put some clothes on?

Spencer is basically never naked, so it’s Bambi. Since he lives in an apartment, he’s always concerned about all the different situations someone could walk in, or that he’d have to quickly evacuate. He wears pajamas basically all the time, and was shocked to find that Bambi basically doesn’t own any.

He tells her to put clothes on, but they’re always his clothes and they never stay on very long.

Who sleeps on the couch when they get into a fight?

Bambi. She’d wait until he fell asleep because she’s worried about him not getting enough, even when she’s angry. Afterwards she would get up and leave. She’d wake up in the morning to him desperately trying to fit on it with her while he apologized.

Who thinks they are not good enough for the others love?

Surprisingly, Bambi. She always wonders if she really did take advantage of Spencer, and if he would have ever considered her to be anything special if he’d met her before he went to prison. She never talks to him about it, but he can tell she’s worried about it so he constantly reassures her.

Who’s more afraid of losing the other?

Spencer. He’s petrified that he’ll make a mistake and lose her either by someone taking her (cough cough), or hurting her badly enough that she can’t be with him anymore. It takes him a long time to really open up about his problems because he’s worried she’ll start to view him as more of a client than a boyfriend.

Who thinks they keep messing up, only for the other to tell them they don’t need to worry?

Both of them. Spencer more often than Bambi. As he starts to actually unpack his trauma, he worries less about it and Bambi starts to worry more. At one point she worries that once he’s better, he won’t want to be with her anymore (essentially, that he’ll view her as a therapist instead of a girlfriend lmao).

Who starts randomly slow dancing with the other in the kitchen?

Spencer dances with her every chance he gets because he remembers that he never got a chance to dance with Maeve, and he never wants to wonder with Bambi. She comes to expect it and will put music on whenever she wants to dance with him. At one point, she jokes that they’ll have their first dance planned way before they get married. He gets very embarrassed but excited.

Who holds the other just above the ground and kisses them?

Spencer picks Bambi off the ground and kisses her all the time. Basically whenever she gets sad, he picks her up and carries her around.

Who says shitty puns and sex jokes just to see the other giggle and blush?

Bambi. Despite Spencer’s demeanor during sex, he gets very flustered when she brings it up or is raunchy outside of the bedroom. He never expects it, so she likes to mess with him.

Who said “I love you” first? and who ends their arguments in a fight with “Because I love you”?

Spencer said it first, and she immediately said it back. It was completely random, and neither of them made a big deal out of it. It was like they’d said it a million times before.

He’s also the one who ends arguments with “Because I love you.” Mostly because she knows if he’s using that line, he has an actual answer that’ll prove her wrong. It’s his way of letting her win, so it always successfully ends the argument.

Who starts the hand holding?

Spencer, technically. She kept staring at his hands until he held hers. Eventually she admits that’s not why she was staring, but that she enjoys it nonetheless.

Who grabs the others butt?

Bambi grabs and smacks his butt all the time. He jumps and blushes every single time.

Who slides their arm around the other’s waist?

Spencer pulls her close to him whenever they aren’t holding hands. She occasionally has to stop him. She’ll link arms if she’s worried he’s getting too touchy.

Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?

Bambi. It’s a (not at all) subtle way of telling him she wants them off.

Who likes to write the other’s name on their wrist?

Bambi won’t necessarily write it on her wrist, but she doodles his name in her notebooks often. At first he’s worried when he finds it because he thinks she’s keeping client notes, but then he realizes they’re really just teen-romance doodles (including her signature with “Reid” instead of her last name).

Does Bambi have a nickname for Spencer? If so, what is it?

She occasionally calls him Prince Charming to be funny. Otherwise, she calls him “darling” or “dear.” He always makes a joke about the latter (because Bambi is a deer).

Why did Spencer make first move to Bambi in the prison? What was it about her that he felt a connection to her that made him act that first day?

For one, she was just the first person he’d really seen and she was very beautiful. But beyond that, she immediately recognized that he was a good person, which was something he really, desperately needed someone to tell him.

She never doubted his intelligence or moral character (even when she should have). He could also see that despite not being scared of him, she was very… jumpy. He thought it was cute and wanted to experiment with it.

I also didn’t show their initial interaction, but she was generally interested in learning more about him and his work. Not to profile him, but because she recognized he was being dehumanized and wanted to offer him some reprieve. That really touched him and it made him a lot more vulnerable than he would have been with a more transactional person.

Was he surprised that she let him have sex with her in the prison? Did he honestly expect her NOT to come back?

At that point, he was kind of fucking losing it, so I’m not sure he ever really stopped to consider whether she would want to or not. He figured she would make it obvious if she didn’t want to. After every single one of their interactions, he was convinced he’d ruined everything and she wouldn’t come back. She felt the same and was always worried he’d turn away her visits.

After the events of Part 2, did Bambi and Spencer talk about what happened when she called out Flower?

Yes and no. They spoke a lot in generalities about their hard and soft boundaries. It did change how their later sexual interactions went. He was much more vocal about what was going to happen and she was more obvious about whether or not she was enjoying it.

For awhile, they used the red/yellow/green method to test how far the other was able to comfortably go. They also had a period where they only had vanilla sex to protect his psyche (and remind him that he doesn’t have to hurt her to make them happy).

How did that conversation go? Is that when they decided to become an actual couple or did they both know back at the prison that they were meant for the other?

Spencer’s joke about the husband was only half a joke; he really did wonder how wrong he’d been about her since he only got to see her very briefly. Although he wanted to be with her since the prison, it wasn’t until after the Flower situation that she asked him if they could be in a relationship. He was initially too stunned by the question to answer. When she asked again, he said yes.

Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?

Bambi buys him the nerdiest gifts ever. She doesn’t even understand half the references, she just knows it’s something Spencer talked about before, so she gets it for him. Half of it she just keeps at her place so that he’ll feel more comfortable there.

Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own?

Both of them! Since they both call each other Dr. (last name) when introducing them to others, they mix up their names all the time. Bambi always jokes that once they’re both Dr. Reid, things will be way easier.

Who spends almost all their money on the other?

Bambi spends a lot of money on him. She wants to make sure he always has something to remember her by. She also wants him to experience things with her – especially considering it doesn’t happen often. So when they go out, she usually goes pretty hard.

Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?

Neither of them, honestly! If anything, Bambi kind of wants him to be more naked, more often. Since he’s usually pretty self conscious, she likes the opportunity to surprise him with praise. She’s known to pop up behind him and put her hands up the front of his shirt.

Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?

Both of them. They’re chaotic as hell. Even worse, their all-nighters never really seem to coincide. Bambi is more likely to get more sleep, even if it’s still not much.

She hasn’t yet, but when she does, it goes well. Spencer was hesitant because he didn’t want Bambi to see what he might turn out to be. In the end, Bambi was very patient and enjoyed hearing Diana’s stories. She’s never bothered when Diana doesn’t remember her, and says she loves the chance to meet her over and over again.

Also, did Spencer, on some level, hope to get Bambi pregnant after he had sex with her in the prison and the time in part 2, considering he has an impregnation kink?

In the prison, probably not. Too many logistics that would be problematic if she got pregnant. Outside of the prison, yeah, he did. He wanted to dominate/claim her in any way he could. He was also very emotional in Part 2, so the idea of being with her forever sounded really ideal.

Spencer burns everything he tries to make her. Reader is actually a pretty good cook, although she eats at the bar way too often. When Spencer found out how much she loves baking, he almost made a joke that it didn’t seem to suit her, but got distracted by picturing her in a maternal setting.

Surprisingly, Spencer steals her clothes a lot because she wears things around the house that are way too big for her (he also usually shows up straight from work and has no other clothes). She basically lost all of her basketball shorts, sweatpants, and big t-shirts.

Reader has always wanted to do a road trip across the country, so Spencer is trying to buy her a small gift from every state. He’s like halfway there thanks to work. She plans to buy him one in each state once they finally get to go.

This one is the same for all of them, since Spencer is referred to as “Reid” all the time, it’s easy for his girlfriend to tag “Reid” on her own name, too. Less so a problem for this Reader as Dark Side, though!

Spencer gives her his jacket often, but every now and then she’ll drop her oversized clothes over his shoulders when he’s cold or sleepy. He snuggles it like a toy.

Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?

This wasn’t shown, but it was Spencer! She was having a really awful day, so he stayed after (per usual). Although she was the one to start the conversation and vent about her day, Spencer was the one who basically told her that she deserved to be treated better. Reader asked if he knew any willing men, and he (ahem) volunteered himself.

How good would your OTP be at parenting?

They would be the coolest and most chaotic parents ever. Reader would let the kids get away with everything, but they would be (for the most part) very well behaved. She would try to get them to get into trouble with her as they got older. Eventually, their idea of getting into trouble was things like correcting their teachers and grammar mistakes in graffiti. Spencer was very proud.

Who said “I love you” first?

Reader was the first one to say I love you, and it was a mistake. She was so embarrassed she covered his mouth and kicked him out. He shouted it back from the hallway.

Reader. After she got over the initial embarrassment, she says it nonstop now. Spencer knows she does it to win arguments, but he still lets her win every time.

After part 2, did the situation with the team get better for the Reader and Spencer? Who was the first to come around? And did JJ and Emily ever confront Spencer on catching him and the Reader finishing having sex?

Emily was the first person to come around. Her and Reader had a heart to heart at the bar a few nights later. Spencer and JJ had a talk, with the latter agreeing that both of them had been hard on the other.

At first, JJ and her were just cordial until one night JJ desperately needed a babysitter and asked Reader, who was so touched by the fact she trusted her with her kids that the two finally apologized to the other.

JJ and Emily are still mortified about what happened in the office, and Reader likes to bring it up often. Spencer is super embarrassed about it, but also a little proud, so he lets her.

Reader. The funniest part is she spends it on experiences she forces to Spencer have with her. Spencer! It’s not that surprising considering who he is as a person, but… He’s always seen Reader as a super beautiful unattainable goddess who shouldn’t even look twice at him. Despite being super submissive in bed, outside of it she constantly showers him in praise and shows him off to everyone who will listen (including cashiers, family, and the rest of the team, all of whom are forced to listen).

What happened after? Did both the reader and Spencer go to therapy?

Spencer was put on paid administrative leave. His sabbatical was moved up so he could stay with Reader. They did both go to therapy, and he taught at university for a semester until Reader returned to work.

Was Spencer able to properly tell the Reader that she was love of his life?

Yes! Not long after the situation, the two moved in together (out of her fear and also because they wanted to have a more serious relationship). Within a couple years, he would propose to her.

Were the team a little concerned with the aftermath of Spencer's rage?

Yes, but no more than they were with Hotch and Foyet. If anything, they were less concerned considering Spencer’s history with his girlfriends. Mostly they were just thinking “Thank god she’s alive.” Since Spencer was so open to therapy and an extended sabbatical, they knew he would be okay. They still stopped by and checked in on the two of them often. About halfway into the time off, they actually got worried Spencer wouldn’t want to come back because he was so happy spending time with her.

While this was the first time he’d done it in awhile, he continues to do things like this more often. Each time it gets a little bit easier. He can’t fix her problems by himself, but he does continue to find more ways to make her feel beautiful.

When they do eventually have sex with the lights on like it’s no big deal, it means a lot to both of them. She doesn’t actually even notice until much later, when he brings up how happy it made him.

After he got the news, what changed for Spencer? Has his desire for the Reader grown exponentially? Was he afraid of hurting her? Did the reader reassure him?

Not too much changed in their dynamic - it was already pretty solid. While he was more attracted to her, most of that attraction was not necessarily sexual more than it was intimacy. Things like holding her more often, wanting to bathe with her, wanting pictures of her. He was afraid of hurting her, especially since they were used to more rough play (which she didn’t really want to stop, but he was uncomfortable with it).

Reader often reassured him that her and baby would be fine. One day she got tired of waiting and just straddled & rode him like an unhinged woman. After that he got a lot more lenient.

What has he done to prepare for the arrival?

Mostly normal things. He already knows a ton about the pregnancy and birthing process because he learned it when JJ was pregnant. He started looking at and buying more baby related things as the pregnancy went on. Mostly they did it together. The only thing he did by himself was buy small trinkets for her whenever he had to travel. He also started behaving more conservatively at work (taking less risks).

How protective did Spencer get with the Reader? More possessive? Did he confront anyone who so as much looked at the reader in a wrong way?

Very. While he wouldn’t ever get upset or hostile with anyone, he definitely didn’t like her being in any situation without him that was even slightly dangerous. He didn’t even really like her going to stores without him in the later months. He freaked himself out by looking up information about crimes against pregnant women.

But overall, he kept a handle on it. She did everything normal, anyway.

How was Spencer when the Reader first started showing? Pride? Horny?

He definitely felt a lot of pride. She would constantly wear maternity shirts that were nerdy or explicitly said she was pregnant. They made him happy. She also bought maternity specific lingerie, which was the most turned on he was the entire pregnancy.

For the most part, seeing how she looked while pregnant stirred up a lot of complicated emotions (Will I be a good dad? Am I supporting her enough?) but also a lot of very happy emotions (He never thought he’d get here, he loved other people knowing she was his). You know how it goes.

Repentance

Did Spencer and the Reader eventually get together?

Yes! While nothing happened that night, they started seeing each other more often (and not just when they were sad!). Eventually, he asked her on a real date. Their progress was very, very slow. It took them like another year before they actually started seriously dating and announced it to coworkers (who already been knew).

Has Spencer become more affectionate with the Reader?

He stopped holding himself back. Reader had to remind him often that most people don’t touch their friends like he does. He didn’t really know, since he doesn’t normally touch anyone. It was part of him realizing how much he liked her.

Does Spencer finally believe he's found true love with the Reader?

I think, eventually, yes. But like I said, it took a very long time. Spencer and Reader both had a lot to work through before they could give themselves to the other. They didn’t want to rush into things and make juvenile emotional mistakes.

What did Spencer do after meeting with Ethan at the end? Did he join the reader?

He eventually climbed back into bed with her, but she was too tired to even notice at first. In the morning they wake up very hungover, but cuddling very intimately.

Yes! The next time she went to his place and saw the keyboard, she made him play for her. She sang though (he’s terrible at it).

She calls him Tomcat sometimes as a joke when he gets feisty and reminds her of the way he was at the Jazz Festival (where they heard “Tom Cat Blues”). He’s since started calling her Duchess in return since she made him watch Aristocats with her.

Reader. She always worries about Spencer getting hurt because she feels she relies on him more than he does her.

HISTORY

the montagnier family was originally located in the south of france until luc’s grandfather moved them to quebec. their empire was in manufacturing all kinds of weaponry and selling them to governments and other spy families and organisations. if you needed something a bit obscure or unique, this was the family you'd come to.

luc grew up in a fairly isolated countryside area in a family of four brothers who he loved for the first few years of his life. first was marc, shy and respectful, luc himself two years behind, and then another two years graced the family with twins; charles and elias who lived by their own rules. marc and luc had always been close, marc was the best big brother possible and luc loved him a lot.

eventually after being pitted and forced to compete against each other for so long, it got quite personal and their bonds started being tested. their mother turned a blind eye to their father's borderline abusive methods when luc overtook his older brother in their father’s tests and training. bruises and broken bones were only natural in training so there wasn't much she could say even if she wanted to.

from as long as he could remember, he'd been firing guns. there was a shooting range on their estate and they went on hunting trips, too. his dad often had him show customers the potential of their weaponry and so he'd always been thrusted into that life whether he wanted a say or not. it’s been clear since he was around fourteen that if anyone was taking over the family business it'd be him, not his older brother, marc.

this definitely caused somewhat of a rift between him and marc, as he'd end up getting much harsher punishments when luc would disarm or ground him.

luckily for luc, he did enjoy fighting and was exceptionally gifted in the life planned out for him. he was always the most determined to gain their father's approval, which definitely showed in their results and how obedient he was in front of the man. when he finally got what he wanted, he didn't quite expect it to mean what it did. it was rare but every now and then he would kill for his dad. whether it was someone who betrayed the family or a potential threat to their business, if his dad told him to, he would, no questions asked. it was during this time he was more excluded from training with his brothers since he would be with his dad instead.

SUICIDE TW !!!!!!

his oldest brother marc was sent to blackthorne once he was eighteen and ended up committing suicide at the end of his second year, with luc set to follow the next year. this news was shocking for the montagnier family as luc's father was bitterly embarrassed and disappointed by his firstborns' death, wanting to cover it up as a murder so it couldn't be tied to the family name with such dishonour. it quickly created a divide as charles and elias defended marc's actions and revealed he'd been struggling with depression for the majority of his life, much like they did, which was all unknown to luc, who, for the first time, felt the repercussions of his father's favouritism. he had a new found rebellion against him that was violent with them going at each other's throats for the foreseeable future. luc ended up avoiding his place at blackthorne in hopes to piss off his dad and becoming more reclusive and bitter as time went on.

he really took his brother's death personally, believing he was a factor in it and wishing he'd been there for him more closely. if anyone so much as mentions marc to him he will be on guard and very easily angered. i think before marc died he was very charismatic, egotistical at times and driven whereas now he’s lost a lot of his energy and is more negative & aloof.

the following year was Rough™. he was no longer his dad's golden boy and the family dynamic shifted a lot with marc's death as luc ended up protecting his younger twin brothers instead of beating them for their dad's favour. he's certain he'd have been disowned had his mother not aligned herself with the kids as well.

i think their family dynamic is kinda like the cha family from sky castle if anyone has seen it !

luc eventually decided to enrol in school late, only to end up at gallagher instead. which... i mean, i think before marc died he was excited about attending blackthorne. so he’s bit ??? uncertain about the girls school.

PERSONALITY

genuinely i think it comes down to so many factors, whether he’s in a good mood, who’s speaking to him etc but neutrally he’s quite charming, happy to mess about a bit but more or less takes most stuff too seriously. since he’s not around his dad i do think he will explore a lot more and seek out adventure and fun but if he’s got a test or something due the next day then he’ll bail early since he is defo the type to never let his grades or performance be ruined

he’s quite cocky + likes to win no matter what so yes he will ruin a friendship to beat u at monopoly. second place is last place in his head.

at his best he can be confident, alluring, courteous, loyal… at his worst he's aggressive, destructive, apathetic and always says shit he doesn't mean !!!! will he apologize ?? unlikely but he'll try n make it right once he’s calmed down

thinks the best way to deal with things is with his fists, he’s so EASY to snap and start a fight n he’ll.... maybe apologise for it

i think he defo likes to pretend he’s got no problems and so reverts to a social, supportive friend every once in a while. the type to be brutally honest !!

I just finished watching Sex Education on Netflix so here are some thoughts:

*spoilers ahead*

The show started out strong. I thought we were gonna get some great ace representation, and overall I am less disappointed than I thought I was going to be. Perhaps this is something we can hope for if we get a second season.

Actually, for a couple of episodes, I was suuuuper hopeful for a fantastic asexual / aromantic best buds situation (Otis as the ace, Maeve as the aro)

Probably some of the most accurate representation of genuine gay men I have ever seen onscreen (I know gays come in all shapes and sizes but Eric and Anwar are absolute archetypes for so many gay men I went to sixth form with)

However, this leads me onto one of my biggest problems with the show. Eric and Adam. Bad bad bad bad bad. This gave me so many red flags I thought I was in a Spanish bull fight. Adam bullied, harassed and threatened Eric for literally years and suddenly Eric is all in love with him? I don’t buy it. Nope. That was probably my least favourite thing about the entire show.

Another reason why Eric/Adam is bad: for the first few episodes, Adam was built into this nasty, dislikable character, who I was fairly sure was going to get a redemption arc of some kind. But no, instead, he just gets steadily worse, until plot twist: he is gay! And his dad is sending him away to military camp so we should all be sad and pity him. Yes he got consequences for his actions, and yes, I do pity him, but not because he was secretly gay so uwu sad eyes. I pity him because he has a shitty dad, but I guess I am more upset by the fact that many fans of the show will likely want to see him redeemed like Steve from Stranger Things and give him cuddles and cute fanfics with Eric. No. Eric deserves better. And not Anwar, a different better, because there can be more than 3 gays in a series.

Oops, got a bit carried away with that one.

Actually, the amount of LGBT representation in this was impressive. We had a flamboyantly gay secondary character, and two different lesbian relationships, which were impressively well developed. So kudos for that.

Moving on from LGBT to feminism. Maeve is an interesting character, and I am not quite sure what I think of her just yet. At first glance, lesbian brain took over and said “step on me sexy scary lady”. But then feminist brain kicked in and said “manic pixie dream girl much?” and then my other feminist brain said “this is a realistic representation, you went to sixth form with two girls you were close friends with and many more who also fit this brief perfectly.” So in conclusion: I am reviewing the Maeve situation. (sexy scary lady can still step on me tho)

(also, I know they were not on the best of terms but when Ola and Maeve were in the bathroom I just really wanted them to kiss. Like so bad. Girls in suits are super hot and should have sexy scary girlfriends)

There was one episode which made me cry, like, so much. Early on, the abortion episode, it kind of hit me that Maeve is 16 and living an adult life, and the way she interacted with the mother woman at the clinic made me really emotional. Possibly because it was literally 4 am but also, women supporting women in difficult times is super cool.

Speaking of: “it’s my vagina” anyone? That whole episode was also pretty fab from a feminist point of view. Maeve schools Otis on the sexism inherent in the system, and the school assembly has a #MeToo movement of female solidarity.

And also, interestingly, Jackson. I found this character interesting, partly because of the “he’s a jock with a sensitive side” trope, but also, if his parents are lesbians, how come he isn’t already a well versed feminist? All lesbians are feminists and it doesn’t make sense to me that their sons aren’t as well. But I am not here to pick out plot holes. That’s a whole other post.

(Okay but while we’re on the subject, where is this film supposed to be set? How come 16 year olds are driving cars? What kind of high school is this anyway? And what is the comedic style? It’s like British TV trying to be American, but at the same time, the other way round? I don’t get it.)

(oh and another thing: the landscape is beautiful and all the houses are gorgeous.)

Back to the gay thing tho real quick: forreal hope that Aimee and Maeve get together. Please

read more bc even more long + self indulgent than my usual stuff

ive been thinking abt my relationship w/ like.... crying recently like as in w/in the past maybe week. i cry so easily tht i just feel like tears dont carry any consistent meaning it can mean so many different things.

1) last week my dads abusive mother died + i didnt cry i wasnt sad @ all. id sort of figured shed be dying soon + i was so scared id end up crying bc i kno i cry easily + that death makes me cry even if i dont kno the person who died that well. but i didnt cry + i still havent even when i talked to my dad on the phone + cld tell he’d been crying. im so fucking glad. she was so evil i hated her so much but i was still scared id end up crying. especially bc in her later years she was vulnerable + isolated + in a lot of pain.

2) speaking of, my brothers ex girlfriend who im still on friendly terms w. her childhood best friend committed suicide last weekend + i was crying but i was sort of aware that i was crying exclusively for my brothers ex gf, not for the woman who died. who i knew, who i had met + liked! but i wasnt grieving i was jst heartbroken bc i knew the ex was jst going to feel so so guilty abt it-- she’d been like sort of the woman’s only friend + had moved abroad a few months ago. i felt bad + like, like i was insulting the woman who had died that i was so concerned w/ how her death affected others when her death was abt her, it wasnt supposed to be abt its impact. it was abt her!

the next 2 Things are less serious

3) the national album made me cry, especially not in kansas.mp3, but also quiet light + a good few other songs. i genuinely dont understand why the nationals lyrics have gotten under my skin as much as they have. idk anyone who is so affected by them. + so much of them i cant relate to!! there are songs i can relate to e.g. rylan but many i cant + i still jst cry. the crying + my general reaction to their music feels like it comes from being overwhelmed. i guess its like the general desperate repressed claustrophobic atmosphere of his music.

4) i went to see the glass menagerie + it was so fucking good (marty rea was in it + i love him a lot i think hes rlly good). id never seen it before but i was expecting to cry. its my fav tennessee williams play + i love laura so much. this girl i was ‘’’in love’’’’ w/ when i was a teenager made me a tshirt tht says ‘tennessee williams loves me’ on it bc id said that semi-jokingly bc laura is written so tenderly + lovingly + its clear how much love williams had for the sister she was based on + i relate so much to her. i teared up when she was showing jim her glass animals, + started properly crying when she said she was nervous she’d step on his feet + he said sth like ‘dont worry, i wont break’ (after her talking abt how fragile her glass animals were) + then when they were actually dancing i like had to like hold myself back from like sobbing. i mean not that theres any doubt over tennessee williams talent but like on a personal level this rlly showed how important + impactful i found his work bc like even tho i cry easily its usually over pretty Big things things that are obviously very sad or obviously very scary. this scene was so subtle but it still hit me so so hard.

5) in therapy my therapist identified my inability to explain why i cry whenever we talk abt anything from my childhood even seemingly innocuous stuff, + i think its in part bc in some ways ive stopped myself from processing or feeling emotions abt my childhood @ all ever + never talk abt it w/ anyone (one of my worst habits is tht i often will lie abt my childhood even in relation to pretty basic facts jst bc i bristle @ the idea of sharing anything real w/ anyone) so when ive talked abt it openly + in depth in therapy even again if we’re talking abt an aspect of it which isnt that significant i will like instantly almost instinctively start crying.

Tell me all about Wynn!

O GOSH, if you are ready for the wall of text, I shall tell you all XD Short version: Abandoned kid, who mixed with a wrong bandit gang, caused him a lot of issues and trauma, but he’s recently been trying to recover and move forward. VERY VEEERY LONG AND WINDED version under the cut (a lil gruesome too) No, really, it is very long, you have been warned:

Wynn is a child of two Scarlet Crusaders, (neither originally was one, but dad met a girl and she got mixed up and mind filled with nonsense, and he dumbly followed her because love and rest is history), he also has an aunt and cousin (Elyonn) through his dad with whom he only recently rekindled, as they fell out of touch as soon as father became a crusader. Mother was a zealous fanatic, always pushing Wynn to learn and study, as soon as he was able to grasp what letters are, something he really had no interest in, or really much talent, he preferred to run around and play with animals. He also befriended every single cat in the monastery, much to his mother’s annoyance. His dad, while also pretty zealous, at least from parent perspective, was a decent guy and understood that Wynn was his own human being and let him run off and play, cover up for him when he did that, help his study so it wasn’t as tedious and one of the fondest memories Wynn has of his dad, was sneaking out the monastery to go to Darkmoon Faire, and he still enjoys the event as it reminds of simpler times. Scar on Wynn’s cheek is actually from his mother, when she was disciplining him, and he has very little memory of the woman. His dad, per mother’s insistence, took Wynn on one of the crusades, in the attempt to expand, only to perish to the undead, Wynn being the only survivor. Wynn was temporarily placed in the orphanage, and letters were sent to the mother (which she ignored, in a blind zealousy of ‘Light will bring my son back to me’ sort of thing), and after many fruitless attempts, and zero replies from either the Crusade or the mother, Wynn was placed for adoption, under the presumption, his mother was dead. Wynn had no idea what his aunt’s name was, otherwise he would’ve mentioned her. (mother dies years later in Northrend, killed by some adventures for a bounty, while part of the Scarlet Enclave. Wynn saw the poster and had zero emotion on the matter, even when he found out the bounty was fulfilled)

There was a noble High Elf couple. Not a loving marriage, girl got married of to the guy from status/money, and he completely ignores her for his studies. He ignores her so hard she can't even get him to do 'husband duties' of having kids, so she eventually manages to convince him to at least adopt for now, so when they do have kids, they have a sibling. He waves her off as 'yeah whatever go for it' so of to the orphanage she goes, and meets Wynn. She find kindred spirit in his situation, and they bond, and after several visits, she signs the papers and formally adopts him. Husband doesn't even realize she adopted a human boy, he was glad he could focus on his studies and she was out of his hair, but when he did notice he just '???? why a human?' she explained that she bonded with this guy the most and he needed a loving home. He just shrugs and even tries to teach Wynn to be a warlock like him, 'cept turns out Wynn had zero magical affinity, in that direction at least and his magic was more nature based. His new mom signed up with one of local hunters and that's where he learned to be a hunter, and eventually got his first pet, a wolf named Timber. Fast forward a few years ahead, Wynn is 14-ish, his parents finally got a kid of their own ( a girl, Wynn gets a long with her wonderfully) but husband starts dabbling in magic more hardcore, to the point of borderline fel corruption (he also becomes a blood elf). Before anything bad happens, mom scoops up the kids, moves to Dalaran, and sends the dad divorce papers in the mail, through her family.

Dalaran is city of magic, his mom goes to become a teacher and an archmage eventually, as she's a mage herself, sister also becomes a mage and Wynn just...can't put himself anywhere and he feels a bit left out but he does eventually manage to get a job, as turns out with a gang. He doesn't mind because they, seemingly, just bunch of smugglers, which is what Wynn does at least, stealing and smuggling. As it later turns out they go much deeper, murders, kidnapping you name it. Wynn stick to his little branch and keeps his head low, but when he finds out about their darker dealings, he becomes afraid for his family, so he decides to leave and go to Stormwind branch, to keep them safe, in case he fucks up, god forbid. (Never happens, I will bring it up later) He witnessed guys hands cut off because they upset the leader or people be thrown to the dogs for worse etc that sorta brutal, like fallout raider level brutal. They're an average crime gang tho as long as you don't piss anyone off. Dating someone on the outside of the gang wasn't forbidden but you know, you gotta be careful like I imagine one would have to if they are in a gang and their SO isn't. Wynn briefly had a bf in the gang it didn't work out, dude got salty tried to get Wynn killed 'cept he got looked on like an idiot and got killed instead, for 'abusing power'. Wynn did get a girlfriend outside the gang later on. Cute girl, simple farmer's daughter on one of the many farms in Elwyn Forest. He told her he's in a gang, didn't tell which, but he wanted to be honest. She was fine with it, and they made plans to run away eventually and start a new life. All was well until the gang got a whiff of them wanting to run away. Long story short, this guy named Fist, slits the girl's throat in front of Wynn, saying no one leaves, and now that he has no reason to leave, he shouldn't want to, "And if this, didn't convince you...' as he shoots Timber as well, and if he is still thinking about it, they'll come for his mother and sister too. I honestly have no idea how Wynn didn't fucking snap completely in that moment, but he gained a lot of anxiety and commitment issues, it take a while for him to even establish something with Fred, who is thankfully patient, and loves Wynn and is willing to do whatever as long as he is comfortable.

The whole thing actually pushes Wynn to run away anyways, goes fuck knows where under a new name, tries to go clean, gets taken in a by a older widowed blacksmith and his two sons about his age. All goes well for like 6 months. Wynn finally feels he ran away and moved on, 'cept that when he comes home one day, to find blacksmith and his sons dead (along with 2 bandits) with clear signs of fight. Blacksmith has a note on his back stuck with a knife 'We told you: no one leaves'. Wynn runs away again, joins smaller scale gang near Lakeshire for protection, goes back to petty thievery, and that's when he gets caught by Fred who throws him in the Stormwind jail which is a no no. They keep doing this thing where Wynn runs away Fred puts him back for like 5 times before Fred asks why does he keep doing that to which Wynn just '...did you really just ask me why I don't wanna be in jail?' 'No I mean people usually welcome staying in jail for safety' 'well it ain't safe the for me'tldr he is basically just afraid to fall in love again in fear off that person getting killed again. Arguably, Fred is not a defenseless farm girl, he'd like to see them try and kill him, but still that is genuine fear, and he has a break down when he accidentally lets 'I love you' slip, they fucked that boy up pretty hard.

Wynn and Fred relationship is another filled rant, but to keep it short, they didn't really like each other at first, were together because Wynn was helping Fred clear out his former gang, as Fred is a mercenary and there were contracts for some of them. Along the way love blossomed, so Wynn almost left, and when Fred questioned why, Wynn said 'I am falling for you, and it would be better if I just forgot you were ever a thing, it's safer for you' 'Have you thought about how it'd make me feel if you left?' 'Relived I'm gonna presume' 'No, actually I'd be rather upset. I grew to like you a lot too' To which Wynn literally went 'Like??? ME??? are you nuts? You must've hit your head a lot as a warrior' Fred laughs at that but basically tells him he had a hard life too, and he is not telling Wynn how to mourn, but he doesn't just want to date him, he wants to be his friend too, and if he needs him, he is there for him. He smooches his cheek and walks off, saying choice is Wynn's he will be there for him either way. Wynn scoff, and turns around to climb on his drake but just....doesn't. He curses and calls out to Fred, as he runs up and hugs him saying 'That doesn't mean I like you' 'Yeah I know'

Wynn lets 'I love you' slip and has a break down, trying to leave again, finally explaining to Fred who blocked his path, everything. The girl, the wolf, his life story. Fred tries to reassure him it'll be fine, but Wynn is inconsolable, but he does manage to convince him to stay. When he wakes up in the morning, Wynn is gone. Obviously Fred is heartbroken, but knowing the situation, realizes Wynn is set in his ways although he obviously can't help but feel sad about it. Wynn didn't actually leave, he stuck around to get last look at Fred before he leaves and when he does, he sees how distraught he is, realizing he truly loves him, and he realizes he'd hurt Fred more if he left. He comes out of hiding, to surprise of Fred and Fred is about to say something but Wynn just 'Let me...speak, please' to which Fred nods slightly 'I...I was selfish. I only thought about myself while thinking I am looking out for you. I didn't think about how you might feel if I just up and left and I'm sorry. I might not always say this but...I do love you and...you have come to mean world to me and...it might take a while for me to get over this, and if that's fine with you I'll never leave again...' and he looks away. Fred just smiles and comes up to him and holds him close 'You never have to tell me anything. I know. And I will say it for the both of us.' Wynn just stands there for a second, but then buries his face in Fred's shoulder and cries, apologizing profusely.By the events of Legion, Wynn is a lot more lax and confident, he just straight up goes 'You know what?! I am tired of being afraid, they wanna get you to get to me, they're gonna have to go through me first' He is still not fully out of his shell but he's a lot different than when Fred first met him few years back for sure.

They helped during Dalaran evacuation in begining of legion, and after all said and done, Fred convinces Wynn to reunite with his mom and sister and Wynn just 'Okay buster just because I said I wanna be more open doesn't mean I wanna be this open!' 'But you do care for them too, why not make sure they're safe too? I am just suggesting if you don't wanna go-' 'No you're right...I'm just still...not out of the mentality yet' and they go and reunion goes incredibly well, mom and sister really missed Wynn and glad he is alive and well. His mom tells the that they can stay in her house if they need a place while they're in Dalaran, so that's where they live during Legion. After they reunite with Wynn's mom, and Wynn learns gang been after her a few times, but his mother coldly remarks 'Oh those guys? Yeah their ice solid corpses kept the sewer waters cold' and Wynn just 'JFC mom you're metal!' 'Don't mess with my children and then come threaatening me. I will destroy you. I had one scumbag in my life doing that, never again' (referring to her ex) Wynn goes to Fred 'you know how through out our jobs we've been dispatching small groups here and there ye? 'Yeah?' 'I am in Dalaran, I'm tired. I am gonna stab the snake in the eye.' '...are you sure?' 'I am not a scared boy anymore I am tired of running. I need you to go with me though,but as a worgen, scarier that way.' Fred chuckles 'Whatever I do, don't stop me. I need this.' Fred nods.So off the go in the Underbelly, and Wynn, accompanied by an 8 foot black worgen in heavy armor sure makes people whisper. They go into one of the inns and just chill, eventually a thug comes up and says 'Fist wants to see you' so they go, Fred intimidatingly leans at the door they entered from, Wynn sits at the table with Fist. 'Look what the cat dragged back in, it's Wynnie! How is it going sweetie?' 'You got promoted from Stormwind huh?' 'Yeah, demon invasion and all, every one wants supplies. Look, Wynnie, I am gonna cut the bullshit. You cause a lot of damage and we got a score to settle' 'Oh yeah we do!' and with that, he swiftly pierces Fist's hand to the table. Fist's guards obviously jump in as he's screaming, but Fred straightens out and they kinda stand there hesitating. Wynn then grabs Fist by the hair 'You see me? Look very closely because I am the last thing you will see' 'What do you want?! Money? I'll give you anything.' 'How pathetic you are when you realize I am not the little boy you can push around anymore. This is for the little boy, who's life you destroyed, and that little boy came back, and ended yours. And by the way? My name is Wynn.' and with that, he slams Fist's head into the dagger hilt, through the eye, killing him. One of the guards finally drops a pair and charges at Wynn only to be slammed into the wall by Fred. Rest back up, as Wynn incredibly unceremoniously removes Fist from his dagger and wipes it on Fist's clothes, 'Tell the Big Guy, Wynn is back, and if he sends anyone after me or my family, tell him what I did to Fist. I'll be waiting.' And with that, he grabs a bag of gold off the table, puts his dagger away and walks off, as the entire in whispers inn awe.They go to the park, and Wynn is just very silent, and Fred asks 'Better?' 'Actually, yes. Sorry I went so gruesome back there.' 'Not my style, but you needed it, and he had it coming for long time' 'Do you... mind if I have some time alone for myself? I'll stay safe, I promise' 'I know, and of course, I need to run some errands anyways' 'Thank you for coming with me' 'Anytime' Fred kisses his cheek and goes about his business, leaving Wynn alone, who cries with relief that he is somewhat free finally.

That’s basically all I got at the moment figured out, which a lot I am so sorry if you actually sat through the whole thing, bless your patience. Their BfA events are still WIP largely, but they do go to Kul Tiras and Fred goes back working for Grawymane, but that a smuch as I got so far.

I can't believe I'm asking this or just I've had the thoughts to ask this before. This will he before I ask you about Freddy Vs Jason. But the Scream franchise? Your thoughts but just your icon being Stu and your header image, and saw a icon of Billy from someone you reblogged. As a guy who isn't a fan of the franchise and I've had thought at times to watch the first fully or something. I know lots of stuff due to searching up stuff and pop culture. I just want to hear your opinions.

OK so I LOVE the first Scream, it’s so so SO good!! but I’ve heard from a very trusted friend that the second one is Not Worth Watching, so I have absolutely no interest in anything beyond the very first movie lol (I have so many hangups about the MTV mask aesthetically that I couldn’t bring myself to watch the show either tbh) -- the first Scream is another of the first horror movies I saw so it also has a special place in my heart bc of that as well

anyways I kind of have a hard time picking this part because its just.. really fun? like it’s not shoving any message in your face, it’s just a real return to form for Wes Craven- like I live + breathe the original Nightmare on Elm Street, and Scream is just as high up there as NoES. I’ll admit I haven’t seen a TON of his movies, but The Serpent and the Rainbow came between NoES and Scream (amidst TV movies and some other films that look... just oof) and I could barely get through it- I remember the movie being super boring? I honestly had no idea it was Wes Craven at the time because it was totally the opposite of what I expected from him, so that’s why I say ‘return to form.’

I think the movie’s strongest points are its characters- they’re all really easy to love (even after an initial viewing, when you know the twist reveal of the killer). Billy’s got this very caring side towards Sidney, and even tho he has real frustrations wrt her trauma he’s willing to work things out with her + apologize- he’s also got a good camaraderie with Stu and just has a very grounded, even presence that balances Stu out excellently. Stu on the other hand is like, obviously the goofball + kind of a dickhead (the whole “Liver alone!” joke being a prime example) but he’s genuinely well-meaning and arguably over-affectionate? he picks Tatum up, hugs her, leans on her, like he’s very physical with her. He also leans on Randy when he and Billy corner him in the video rental shop so Stu’s probably just touchy-feely in general lol, but it’s a little trait that lends him a realness, you feel?

Tatum could’ve very easily fallen into the “bitchy best friend” stereotype but she’s honestly just protective? like yeah she’s sarcastic and whacks Stu in the head with a sucker but that’s like.. Stu deserved it because he IS a shithead, and while she can be snappy with Gale she does it to defend Sidney. She also puts up a really good fight against Ghostface, and has a neat discussion about female killers (Basic Instinct is her example) with the rest of the gang in the beginning. Sidney on the other hand has her own tough side which develops throughout the film as she’s faced with the killer, but like is realistically traumatized and is only ever presented as reasonable- they totally could’ve demonized her as a bad girlfriend because she won’t have sex with Billy but as we find out about her mother it’s like “oh yeah,” and you have a lot of compassion for her because of how she’s painted throughout the rest of the film

Randy is sort of the outlier here because he’s such an obvious red herring? like he’s the geeky horror-obsessed character that would’ve been the villain in like any other iteration of this movie, but instead he just kind of.... sidekicks his way out of death lmao. He’s the one who presents the rules of horror movies to us (don’t drink/do drugs, don’t have sex, and never say “I’ll be right back”), and when we find out he’s not dead, his line? “I never thought I’d be so happy to be a virgin.” Like, I really couldn’t imagine Scream without Randy-- sure, he’s just kind of... there; he doesn’t add a ton to the story, he’s not super integral to the plot, but he serves as a sort of audience surrogate and I feel like the movie would be missing something without him. He’s also a nice twist on the usual “watching violent media makes you violent!!!” thing

So, like, when we find out who the killer is (avoiding description in case others haven’t seen it/don’t know the reveal lol), the killer gives us that often-used line “movies don’t create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!” I think the quote’s a liiiiiiiitle oversaturated as like this edgy thing when it nicely encapsulates the film’s message? It’s not this big poetic thing, it’s just arguing that the “the reason X killed Y is because of [insert type of violent media]” mentality is complete bullshit. We establish that the killer had already decided to commit all these murders, each act was completely premeditated, the killer just turned to horror movies to see HOW to commit the crimes- it wasn’t a case of “he watched one horror movie and it turned poor little Jimmy into a violent serial killer completely out of the blue!” Then, on the other hand, the character who watches horror movies regularly for fun is the character who gives us the exposition we need and provides key advice to Sidney to help her survive (”this is the moment when the supposedly-dead killer comes back to life for a final scare”). It’s a really refreshing message to get as a horror fan

like overall though Scream’s just super fun? it gives us the tension we want, it gives us violent attacks and guts and gore (Casey’s death in the very beginning is sooooo good), but it never gets overbearing. Like yeah, sometimes I do want a splatterfest, and Scream is a very 90s movie (it shows, but it works for the film- imagining Scream in a post-90s setting makes me go.... eurgh.......), but it’s also one of the most wholeheartedly enjoyable horror movies I’ve ever watched. There’s no schlock, no parts that make me yawn- it just checks off a lot of boxes for me when it comes to fun horror movies and remains very rewatchable even if you know who the killer is

thats a hard question, honestly, I have fucked around with a lot of girls but that wasnt love that was just me having fun. I need to give you the whole back story because me just giving an answer isnt going to make sense. I’ve only been really serious with two people. One of them has been in and out of my life since we were kids and we were always either dating or broken up. The other one was my best friend for a really long time, he was a cool person and we would always smoke and shit. The girl and I were constantly fighting, I had certain wants and needs and I felt like she didnt want the same things and wanted other people. The whole time the boy was watching from a far telling me shit and telling me she was definitely cheating and was definitely not in love with me, and that he would treat me right and care for me in a way that she didnt want to. The boy always had feelings for me but I didnt always feel the same, we were friends and he wanted to be something more, but of course I wanted my girl. This girl meant a lot to me, when I first met her I thought she was the cutest little angel I ever saw and I just wanted to cuddle her and play board games on rainy days and just love her because she seemed so special. I have always been a really clingy and jealous person, and she hated that, so I always felt annoying and it made me really sad. when we were broken up I never felt so shitty in my life. Going to the same school and having to see her everyday made me feel like shit. This whole time the boy was texting me, filling my head with things that kept me up at night wishing I was dead. Shit about her never loving me and all of that, in a way I felt pressured to talk back flirt back. so I did, and when me and this girl broke up the second time I just clung to the boy because I was in so much pain emotionally that I didnt want my heart to feel anymore broken than it already was. This whole time I was thinking on the girl, wondering if she was okay, missing her, I cried myself to sleep every night and drank most of my problems away. I would still text her occasionally to talk to her and see how she was doing. When this boy found out he was pissed, and he told her everything that happened and then broke up with me.

we didnt speak again for months, she got a new girlfriend and I was in a really bad situation. The boy didnt speak to me either, until I ran away from home and my mother called everyone she knew I talked to to try and find me. She called him and he tried messaging me, he told me my mother was worried and that i’d better let her know im okay. we became friends again but that didnt last long, we got back together. It felt a lot more comfortable, and I was happy. I was genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. I would wake up to huge paragraphs and he would give me letters everyday. We would smoke before school and would go in fucked up and get excited over lunch LMFAO. I felt like I was cared for, and that wasnt something I felt much. I would run away from home to spend the night at his house, and we would smoke and just talk about life and it was perfect. But every good thing comes to an end, eventually, we broke up because of a situation im in currently. We would still talk here and there, I was upset, but he and I still spoke so I wasnt too devastated.

the girl decided to message me, after months of her being blocked, trying to contact me… I don’t know if she truly missed me of if she was just bored with her dumbass girlfriend. I didnt answer right away… I left the message unread for weeks on end. until one night, I decided to try and talk to her again. She was never so sweet to me, I was so shocked. She texted back in a matter of minutes, and really put in an effort. When we got back together she went back to the way she used to be instantly and that really pissed me off, but of course I stayed with her. She would talk shit about me with her ex who she left and would use the excuse that she was a “family friend”. We broke up and didnt talk much, I didnt talk to her for aound two weeks, cause I was so frustrated with what she was doing, fast forward to october. She clung to me like never before, and im pretty sure it was because she realized that I can be just as distant as she could. We were really really close for awhile, and I was never so happy in my life. I really thought that this was going to work, and be this perfect forever. then shit went downhill just recently, she decided to do what she does best and get distant again.. and that really hurt me. then she went on a little date with some girl she used to talk to. Lying to me about being sick to go be with her :) We broke up recently and she went on a date with this girl again. but oh well.

the girl was my first love, the first person i’ve ever felt anything real and serious for. But i’ve always felt like I was the one who loved more because shes not a very open or expressive person. you never love someone as much as you love your first love. The love I had for my girl was always a really romantic and deep love, but most of the time I knew the boy it was a friendship love, he was my best friend for a long time and I felt like I could really relate to him and tell him about my problems, because I felt like he would always care and want to help. I didn’t always romantically love the boy, but eventually I grew feelings for him the second time around. I’ve loved two people but they were two different kinds of love, I will always have a place in my heart for the girl, even tho she and I have had a lot of fights and disagreements that lead to us both getting hurt. When you think you’re gong to be with someone forever, and you end up apart, it really hurts, because you dont want to see them with anyone else, which is hard to live with.

right now, she’s angry — she’s livid. all this time she thought her brother genuinely cared about her and loved her, that he was only holding her at arms lengths because of the insemination and because of being with rose. then she gets a call that his cancer might be back, and? that completely ruins her. because she was definitely there for him when he was dealing with cancer the first time, and the idea of losing her brother would terrify her — actually destroy her, so going back to see him — to help him and get the chance to be there for him and show him how much she’s changed and cares for him, wasn’t even a question. but then finding out that he conjured it all up?? that he only told her that to lure her back down there and capture her girlfriend — she feels so betrayed. rafael made up the most disgusting lie to lure her back down and that’s something she’ll probably never be able to forgive him for. so atop of his lie, the only person who actually cares for her and loves her is now locked behind bars and the person at fault for that ( in luisa’s mind — because rose was a wanted criminal, so eventually she probs would’ve been caught. ) is rafael. so, he’s lied to her and taken away the one person that doesn’t make her feel alone, so of course she’s going to want revenge and to make him suffer — because he’s made her suffer. he’s completely broken and destroyed her. she was doing so good, she’d been sober — was doing her best to prove and show her brother that she’s a good person and that she wants to be in his life and have the relationship she once had with him — and also wanted to be there for her nephew and nieces. literally all she’s ever wanted is a family and people who love her, and she has none of that — never has had any of that. the one person who does love her is locked behind bars and she’s literally so alone. but instead of turning straight to the bottle and drowning her sorrows ( which is a big !! for her, like ok she’s come along way from whenever something goes wrong or her world falls apart, she doesn’t run straight to the bottle anymore. ) she wants to make rafael pay, because why should he have this exotic life and live carelessly when he’s done more bad than her? he’s used and abused her too many times, and she is finally seeing him for who he is, and she’s not having it anymore, she’s taking a stand.
