What’s a fic you’ve read more than once? we drag ourselves hand over hand by jesuisgourde. i read it for the first time pretty recently and i've read it at least five or six times since. there's untagged major character death, okay? there’s uncertainty and hope and grief and anger. it is well written and feels authentic. there’s also sweetness and family and love. it is Fucking Sad. it is painful. but it’s so worth it! no one needs to know how many times i've read the taming of mickey milkovich by @whatthebodygraspsnot it's between me and god. but if you’re into upset mickey acting out and ian being rough and sweet all at the same time and setting things straight and hot bjs, you should also read it. and i have only indecent things to say about and i'm your warm receiver by @metalheadmickey FAVE. i think i commented something about secondhand subspace and i am not kidding. it does things to me.

also cooperative gameplay by grayola. i've only read it twice but i'm new here and it's long so it feels like a thing.

What’s a gifset you always have to reblog? you may have noticed i will always reblog mickey's brown sweater. haters are WRONG. and the 5x10 dugouts scene because bloody kisses are hot and i love fictional violence. and also that scene in the hallway with that fucking purple robe. i can't remember the episode but it’s the scene where ian looks like he's gonna devour mickey and mickey is just having the time of his life.

What’s a headcanon you can’t stop thinking about? thinking about mickey and the gallaghers all the time. mickey and carl are besties and they do the dumbest, shadiest shit together. i think they like exploding things and playing with fire and pulling off semi-dangerous pranks. they love to shoot together (ian isn't allowed to come because he's better than they are). they have the same taste in video games and they are insufferably competitive. they're both the biggest softies with animals (the whole cat thing in s1 never happened in this house). actually they're both just huge softies in general. like they're all family oriented but i think lip tried to impose his will cause he thinks he knows best and will try to Teach Lessons. and debbie struggles sometimes because her siblings have been assholes to her at times and i think she might want to reciprocate sometimes. and ian is torn between finally prioritizing himself and mickey sometimes. but i think carl and mickey are just no questions asked generous and showing tf up regardless of how they feel about a situation because that's what family does. and also they are chaos uncles and don't even try to hide it. they're giving the kids sweets at all hours and toy guns and encouraging rough play. when the kids are teens they're the ones giving them their first beers and telling them they're overpaying for weed. they're gonna be on speeddial to pick them up from parties and the police station. i also think that when carl leaves policing (because just no) and ian finds what makes him happy, carl joins mickey in security. mickey and debbie are legit close friends. mickey doesn't like to talk to mandy about his relationship b/c she always takes ian's side or makes assumptions about mickey because of their past. but debbie is a great sounding board and i think mickey is good for her too. they're honest with each other in a very matter-of-fact way. mickey appreciates having someone besides ian really consider him. debbie likes being treated like a capable adult. and mickey respects her and takes an interest in her job. and they both feel strongly about self-advocating, ie not taking any shit. whatever weirdness the gallaghers had about debbie's sexuality mickey DOES NOT. i think they go out to gay bars together sans ian and have beers. and mickey will tease debbie about her taste in women but also be her wingman. he’s surprisingly good at it and can actually pick out good matches for her. they tag team planning family events and eventually rope in tammi. they make the holidays so nice and fun and start new traditions.

What’s a fanart you love looking at? literally anything from @darthvaders-wife. i went to patreon for her uncensored kinktober stuff but her notting hill comic is so good i cry. also really enjoying @gallavichonly's style esp their mickey. the energy is just perfect! and i think about @harukanaaaa's baby ian often. he's so precious.

What’s something you’ve discovered since entering this fandom? A new trope you love? A different analysis of the show? Something else? 🐙. shameless gave me so many Disappointments and Sorrows that it's taken my fandom consumption to new lows. in a good way! gallavich's canon development is so goddamn tragic that fic writers can put them in any hurt/comfort/sick/angsty/death situation and i will enjoy it and ask for more.

What’s an underrated trope or concept you’d like to see more of? mickey's floopy hair and million layers and cutoff shirts and his whole Deal immediately read so queer to me. it may just be me. i want his aesthetic. anyway i love gnc/trans mickey. also aging, hairier, and/or chubby husbands. i love cam's abs and noel's tiny waist as much as the next guy but sometimes i want ian and mickey's bodies to be as soft as their hearts. they're so horny for each other i just think they'd both be into there being more flesh to grab and bite. and i want graying hair and wrinkles and glasses and sex that's maybe less acrobatic but just gets nastier and more intimate. also i need ian 'i love smells' gallagher to drag his face through mickey's sweaty armpits more often and give mickey chest hair cause ian loves rubbing against that too. and i want mickey pulling on ian's beard and playing with his leg hair. idk i'm just thinking about their soft bellies and sweat-matted happy trails rubbing together. look i'm a little worked up about them and perpetually horny. someone should stop me because i am embarrassing!! also we need more fisting. as much as we love ian's hands, mickey loves them more and he is not scared. put one inside him.

What’s a plot hole you wish had been answered or resolved? why didn't we get them dealing with 3x06? what happened to yevgeny? was he mickey's or not? and regardless, how did mickey and ian deal with losing him? why'd they do svet so dirty? she just wanted stability and family and honestly i think svet+gallavich and svet+kev and v were both promising dynamics. hated the way they wrote fiona out. and then never mentioned her? i wanted more gallagher siblings screen time and i specifically mean ian, debbie, carl, and liam. i still don't understand what happened with the house. carl's money paid for it but in fiona's name. then she gave it to debbie? lip couldn't have sold it no matter who sided with him so what was the point of that storyline? also s10-11 were all over the place tonally.

AN: so my nephew wanted to watch daybreakers today bc he saw his mom (my sister) watching it and since my sister wouldn’t let him watch it, being the cool uncle I am watched it for the 500th time (not kidding) with him and he loved it. So now my gay self has to write a fic of Ed bc he’s so fine istg.

It was 20 minutes before sunrise. Ed had just came home and did the dishes.

You grabbed a pencil and paper from the table and start drawing, Ed peeked over a few times to see what you were drawing.

It wasn’t really anything special, just some lines and patterns crossing each other.

You yawned as Ed finished up. The sun was up by now, you could tell.

Ed walked to the couch, humming to himself. He did some work himself on a blood thing Bromley Marks were doing for some reason.

You stopped your drawing, put the pencil down and went to the couch. Ed looked stressed already, he just barely started. “Hey, you alright?” You fiddled with your black sweats, “I’m fine it’s just, Mr. Bromley wants me to do this stupid fucking shit that’s pointless.”

His eyes were glowing again, he growled slightly at the frustration he felt, he looked at you, like you were his prey.

He pinned you down on the couch and straddled you, even held down your wrists. “ED STOP” you kicked but he didn’t budge, you knew he was blood thirsty now, “wait wait wait Ed.” Tears were forming slightly, his breath on your neck scared you, “Ed please. I’ll give you blood, you don’t have to bite me.” He growled again but this time it was darker.

You managed to get out of his grip and run to the knifes, you grabbed a glass and cut your own hand with one of the knives. Ed was still on the couch, you could still see the glow of his eyes.

You poured your own blood in the glass. After you were done, Ed came walking to you, he grabbed your hand and licked the remaining blood.

He grabbed a cloth from his pocket and wrapped it around your hand. Sure he became savage all the sudden but he was gentle.

He grabbed the glass of blood and sipped it. Savoring the taste.

Frankie always said that you had a crush on Ed. You always denied it but it was true. It wasn’t just a stupid school girl crush, it was like you were in love with everything about him.

His eyes went to its natural pure gold color. You put your hand on his cheek, “Jesus your Cold.” You giggled, he did the same thing, “and your warm.” He smiled.

I have read ‘if you need someone to hold’ at least a million times now because that one scene where it finally breaks and Roman doesn’t say anything, just collapses into Stewy’s hug and eventually falls asleep SPEAKS VOLUMES!!! That in the end Roman doesn’t actually need to say anything because Stewy will see right through him anyway. I’ll be honest I wasn’t so keen on them in the first place but after reading your work and then rewatching specifically their scenes…mhm yeah, I have been exposed to the light 🙏 I was wondering if you had a particular hc/thought on Roman’s relationship with sex. It’s never really explicitly stated in the show and Ik a popular hc is that he’s a virgin. Or is that perhaps he’s never really been able to enjoy it before, it’s almost like this shameful thing in his head but when he and Stewy start hooking up he learns to enjoy it, learns more things about himself, his likes/dislikes. He learns love the healthy way <3 I loved the idea you had on another post that it starts with degradation if that’s what Roman wants but Stewy eventually coaxes him into praise and Roman likes hearing it. I have a lot of thoughts about roman and sex so I'm going to put them under a read more both because this will probably go on for too long and because there's gonna be mention of sexual assault and trauma. so just be mindful of that!

I don't think he's a virgin. I think he has some serious hang-ups about sex and attraction, and those feelings absolutely come from his trauma. we still don't know exactly what happened to him, but I feel like it's pretty obvious that he was assaulted as a kid, probably multiple times. I mean, "uncle mo"? the rat pack that ran cruises? there were a lot of horrible people around when the roys were kids. it's definitely never going to be explicitly stated, because succession doesn't give us that kind of information, but the subtext and clues are all there and have been from the very beginning imo.

so yeah, that trauma makes it a little bit difficult for roman to have a normal relationship with sex as an adult. he's also got body image issues, which makes it even harder to be vulnerable like that. it also ties into why I think he's gay rather than bi -- he already feels ashamed enough about sexual attraction, so the fact that he's attracted to men makes that all the more difficult, because he knows what his dad (and the vast majority of the business world) think about gay men. the women he goes after are the ones who other men around him have expressed interest in, and I think to him, there's an idea that it's a sort of conquest and that those men will respect him if he can hook up with the women they find attractive.

I don't really have coherent thoughts about this but I'm thinking about how also it seems like roman's sexuality is sort of used as a pawn in business negotiations, too. I mean his thing with eduard, his thing with matsson, his thing with mencken... idk how to word what I'm trying to say here but it feels like that's something that roman is unfortunately very used to.

I can also see why people think that he's asexual, but I don't think he is! I think he does feel sexual attraction and wants to have that experience and connection but that his trauma and other issues sort of block him from being able to do that. we saw that he wanted to try different things with tabitha to see what worked, so I think there is definitely a desire to figure it out and be able to just enjoy sex and be "normal."

roman absolutely needs someone who is gentle and patient with him while he figures his shit out. which is why the stewy/roman dynamic works for me, because I think stewy could definitely fill that role of being the person who just wants to give roman pleasure and make sure that he feels good about whatever it is they do. so over time roman starts to feel less and less ashamed and scared of his attraction and starts to embrace it in a safe and healthy way <3

ahh hi you’re back!! okay i’m going to explain in a LOT OF DETAIL now... so be warned.

so in this week’s episode, eddie’s son christopher was going to a school dance and he seemed pretty nervous about it, and his dad thought he was keeping secrets again (which was a point of contention in this season because he’d been worried about him, nothing too serious though.)

another character, carla, who helps eddie out with christopher after the recommendation of buck, who’s ex girlfriend’s mother was cared for by her, suggested he had a crush, that’s why he was so anxious for this dance. and eddie had gone around to other people in the 118 (like a police precinct but for firefighters including buck and other paramedics) and just ended up more worried about christopher. buck saying things that made him sound like christopher’s other dad again too, no big deal.

in the end, he realised there are just some things he needs to worry about less because he can’t always be prepared for what happens with his kid. and he ends up looking pretty happy when he sees christopher walking into the dance all happy.

plus, christopher has cp (cerebral palsy) so eddie is always a little more worried that he won’t get to be so much of a normal kid, which this show does an excellent job of showing the opposite, that he’s okay.

anyways, so in the previous episode, buck is shown drinking more like healthy smoothies (?) and not eating certain foods and not …. pleasuring himself 😔 for 4 weeks 😔 which actually turns out to be not so good for his sperm donation thing (but we don’t get told that in the show, it’s just something the fandom has found out) and he’s still trying to keep his donation a secret from the 118. except his coworker Hen, who he got drunk with one day and told. she was very surprised he was actually going through with it, and they had a talk about it.

and in the 118 they all eat meals together but buck just goes off to the kitchen and takes his smoothies out and everyone at the table turns to eddie (who has no clue about the sperm donation) and asks him what’s going on with buck.

and after, the couple he’s donating for come to the station and ask him if he’s still okay with donating because he hadn’t donated anything yet. but he explains things just kept going wrong and he kept getting rescheduled by the clinic and things just kept happening to stop him from donating.

and there was a potential ‘cursed bracelet’ of this woman who’s got this suspicious close friend that two of the paramedics think is cursed but eddie doesn’t seem to think so. there’s a whole other story there but this post is already so long, but buck attributes his unluckiness with the donation to the bracelet at one point.

in the end, buck is driving to the donation centre but gets stuck in traffic (i think) and then just jumps out and speed runs to the centre where he finally gets to donate and the woman at the desk who gives him the magazines to…. donate… gives him a few. and there’s one with a man clearly shown at the bottom…

anywayssss….. people are speculating there’ll be an episode where buck falls into a coma for some reason, this has something to do with eddie but i honestly forgot what. it’s mostly in meta posts that i’ve liked before but if they come across my dash again i’ll add the links to a post and explain and show them to you.

in this season, i honestly don’t know where eddie and buck could go in terms of the plot but we did see buck being a very cute uncle to his niece jee-yun, which could be a contributing factor into the whole ‘donate sperm to create a child but have nothing to do with that child’s life no matter how much i would want to’

that was a major question that buck had before agreeing to the donating, whether he would be able to have a child out there and not be able to be their dad. he’s so good with kids, ones he’s related to and ones he isn’t, plus when he was a kid himself, his older brother had cancer and buck donated something to try and save his life, but then he couldn’t save his brother. and buck always had a rocky relationship with his parents his entire life, but they kept the fact that he was basically born to help out his brother a secret, and the fact that he even had one (he was too young to remember any of this)

so all of these and considering the fact that he’s basically eddie’s son’s other dad (EDDIE ALSO MADE HIM HIS LEGAL GUARDIAN IF EDDIE SUDDENLY DIES. HELLO???!!) i suspect will lean into him not being able to donate his sperm (due to biological problems like with his brother) and he’ll be devastated about that. eddie will hopefully tie into that and they’ll have a serious conversation about it which they haven’t had in a while and they still haven’t had about when eddie was shot in front of buck and buck had to drag his body under the firetruck as the shooter was still firing and then get him into the truck and try and stop the bleeding.

OH BOY, BARK'S FAMILY, HERE WE GO! EVERYONE THROW ON YOUR HARD HATS!!! SHIT'S ABOUT TO GET DRAMATIC!

So, Bark's family consists of his mom, Ursa the Polar Bear, his uncle, Moss the Polar Bear (Ursa's brother), and his cousin, Crystal the Polar Bear. Bark only has a good relationship with Crystal, he's not exactly on speaking terms with Ursa and Moss.

Ursa was North Island's big snowboarding star, and she and Moss own and run a huge ski resort.

Ursa wanted Bark to follow in her shoes and continue the family legacy of snowboarding, before Bark was even born. And the second he was old enough to stand up, she started training him. Way too hard. This is why he doesn't talk much in my fics, his mother pushed him so hard it drove his anxiety through the roof. He eventually ran away at the age of 9 because he couldn't take it anymore.

Ursa and Moss looked for him, but thanks to Team Hooligan being criminals they were very hard to track down. They didn't find him until Team Hooligan left the life of crime and started settling down a bit more.

We're gonna see Bark tell Jewel about his mom and his childhood in WtDMtN. He's gonna fail to do it once, and then succeed to actually do it later on. So Jewel did know what was coming, thankfully. She wasn't totally taken by surprise when the wicked witch of the north did eventually show up. (We're gonna see all of this go down in my sequel fic to WtDMtN.)

Ursa HATES Jewel, pretty much on principle. Bark's not on North Island continuing the family snowboarding legacy, he's in this small town, engaged to a rock museum owner. Jewel's tiny, non-athletic, and nerdy, the last thing Ursa wanted associated with the family. Jewel tried to be hospitable and reasonable with her at first, but that got thrown out fast. She won't antagonize Ursa, but it's VERY obvious she doesn't like her.

Ursa was adamant against the idea of Bark and Jewel having kids, and made sure everyone knew. Hell, her "wedding gift" to them was a list of people she thought would make good surrogate mothers. 🙄🙄🙄 So she wasn't thrilled with Patience once she came into existence. Or Marzipan, but Patience is the firstborn.

She did swing by to evaluate Patience after she'd hatched. That ended with baby Patience being traumatized by strangers picking her up (Ursa grabbed her out of Jewel's arms, which apparently scared the shit out of the poor kid.), and Bark and Jewel agreeing Ursa can't be around their children. Luckily all of their friends are all on their side. NO ONE likes Ursa and Moss. 😂

Crystal's cool though. She and Bark have a good relationship, and she visits to see him, Jewel, and the kids sometimes. Her whole story is a whole different post though.

Okay, I'm so sorry that got so long!!! TL;DR: Except for Bark's cousin, his family's not cool about Jewel or his kids. 😭

As for your AU, I LOVE that idea, but I'm a little confused about the timeline of the events. Are they still in high school when things go romantic? Are they out of high school now? Is the drama all internal, they like each other but they're afraid the other doesn't and they'll tank this long, meaningful friendship? Or is there something else or someone else trying to keep them apart?

I’m constructing my No Powers Sternritter AU, and I’m having trouble with everyone but Juha and Giselle’s personalities. I have to rely on Wikia to save me.

So here’s what I got so far! Please help them fix ‘em up! 🙏

Juhabach was lonely.

He was born to the CEO of KamiCorp and a one-night stand. According to Father, she threw him at him, screamed of the agony she went through because of him—but not Juha, never him, the baby, it’s all the Rei’o’s fault—and stormed out of there.

Juha doesn’t know Father’s name, and he insists everybody call him the Rei’o, so they do.

Father wanted nothing to do with him. He was only there to lecture his heir. He was only focused on his work. So long as Juha got top grades, 100% all the way down, he got to cause mayhem of anything that isn’t Work.

And so the Rei’o’s Inner Circle, the Zero Squad they called themselves, came to be his disciplinarians and “caregivers.” He pranked them in return.

He did not like his birth name, too wrong and awkward, so he named himself Juhabach.

He was genderqueer, he later found out. He accepted they/them pronouns on occasion.

Until he found his own Inner Circle.

At boarding school, they gathered one-by-one. The girls came in a group.

Giselle: She was registered as someone else, but she fought anyone who didn’t call her Giselle—a sadistic reverse psychologist—and of the polygamy has a special attachment to Bambietta. The Zombie, for her concerning obsession with death and all its likeness. He paid for all of Giselle’s gender-affirming healthcare, since her family was all assholes. He would be a hypocritical asshole if he didn’t.

They aren’t interested in becoming like their sperm donor.

Bambietta: the self-imposed leader, who is easily overridden. Misandrist, who makes an exception for the feminist. [Her Letter]

Candice: impatient, aggressive, impulsive, vain, flips tables as a coping mechanism. He nicknamed her “Raitei” [First impression of Ichigo is when she accidentally fell into Candice (ruining her disguise)]

Liltotto: the little sister who didn’t want to be there, easily driven by food, the potty-mouth. The Glutton.

Meninas: avoids Ichigo, the Sternritter’s muscle, has a candid interest with the color pink.

Jugram came later, a new minion bowing at his feet—but willing, for once. Poor guy. Jugram called Juha “My Lord” and “Your Majesty” and “Your Highness” and other such nonsense. So once they were older, he began calling the simp his pet and/or slave, depending on the occasion. Jugram became his self-imposed right-hand man—He chose Giselle as his left-hand woman, as a fellow transvestite. The boy would attempt to “defend” Juha’s honor. He would sometimes pick him for his more feminine days.

Bazz B came with Jugram, and they apparently worked their butts off to escape abusive relatives (Jugram lives with his Uncle, Bazz just had his equally-useless sperm donor), coming from low-income households.

So Juha decided to fund all their Sternritter’s healthcare—set up a room for the two near him, but Bazz was the only one to move in.

At least he helped them fuck over the Zero Squad.

Liltotto was what the West called aromantic.

Perninas is a trans drag icon, who took it upon himself to be Juha’s envoy. And therefore the one to play messenger when Juha’s feeling too much of a disaster gay to function, much less Talk.

Gremmy was asexual and queer, intellectual in hacking and artistry.

He and Yukio got along like a house on fire, so to speak.

The Mimihagi twins were close.

But not close enough as to choose the same person, in the end.

Juha got the Left, as his identity split away from Father, non-speaking, joining the Sternritter. The Rei’o got the Right, who has poor Jushiro Ukitake exploited under his thumb.

As Nodt and Askin were among the guards, growing attached to the young Lord.

[Jugram: That’s interesting cuz I fuckin’ hate, like, all the time, every day.

Lille Barro was the top marksman, who grew a worshipful attachment to Juha as Heir, and then grew to hate the Rei’o with a vengeful passion. He takes it upon himself to be angry for him, even stuff he isn’t actually offended by.

He’s seen Lille zeropoint kill murder right in front of him. The blood was nothing for the X-Axis.
