I’m thinking in a plot that Harry goes to the past, BUT he turs out as a big brother to Tom Riddle (I NEVER NEVER see a fanfiction that Harry and Tom are brothers, if you now some pleeeaseee send to me the link)
I make all the family tree and fixed away to make Harry be Tom’ cousin and a Potter to: Basically Marvolo Gaunt has a sibling who was a squib, so banish of the family, then this brother has a son, that has a daughter, thaat has a affair with Charlus Potter’ Father, sooo Harry is born as a Gaunt, have magic, is half brother of Charlus and cousin of Tom. and them he lost his memory, the muggles can’t find his family, he is send to the Orphanage, and meets a thirteen years old Tom Riddle, get closer and becomes his old brother (in this plot Harry have fifteen)
(it’s confusing? i don’t now, my english is rustyyy)

Are you writing Cutthroat? I’m curious about more. Are you making a fandom wiki or family trees?
Hello!
I am currently working on refining some aspects of Cutthroat before beginning to write the actual beast. To be honest, I hadn't thought of making a Fandom wiki for it. The blood relations between some of the characters are quite complicated, and building Family Trees might help me out a lot, so thanks for the suggestion!
I'll include a summary of the AU under the cut, so you can get a general idea of what it's about.
Cutthroat AU:
Harrison Silas Sayre doesn't hate Wool's Orphanage—that is Tom's, his brother's, job. Tom Marvolo Riddle hates Wool's as much as he hates his dead mother, which is saying a lot. Unfortunately for them, they seem to gravitate around the Orphanage. Though that might have something to do with the ritual they performed there fifty years ago.
Exactly seven months after Tom Riddle's birth, a baby arrived at Wool's Orphanage with a single letter stating his full name and date of birth: Harrison Silas Sayre, July 31st, 1927. The two boys were different from other children—special, as Tom often said, so it was no wonder they found solace in each other while growing up as brothers.
The Wizarding World had no idea what it signed up for the day the twins' Hogwarts letters arrived.
During their seven years at Hogwarts, they became close with the Black sisters: Dorea, a Slytherin like Tom, and Cassiopeia, who was in Ravenclaw with Harry, though in different years.
Cassiopeia was creepy. She worshipped Tom, though that might have something to do with the rumors about her weird Visions... Tom was a natural, charismatic leader, though he only had a meaningful relationship with his brother. Harry, instead, formed a close friendship with Dorea right from the start. They were always seen with each other, much in the same way Cassiopeia could always be found trailing Tom.
I could say a lot of things about them, but I think the most important event is the ritual Tom performed at 18—a ritual Harry was forced to participate in. Ideally, the ritual would allow them to live forever, an anchor of one another, until the end of times... But vital blood was needed.
Fifty years later, Lily Evans' and Regulus Black's research took them to a set of Caves near an abandoned Orphanage. They had spent years after James' death looking for any clue about the mysterious dark lord who was steadily taking hold of the Wizarding World from behind the stage. Only few were aware of his existence, except for his followers (Peter and the Mark in his scalp was a somber reminder of that fact), but nobody knew a single thing about the actual person.
In the Caves, behind a blood protection that Lily was surprisingly able to pass through, there was a black crystal coffin. Within, a sleeping young man had a snake resting on his chest. The snake watched as Lily and Regulus got close and, slowly, began to eat its own tail.
Ouroboros, they recognised, and the boy woke up.
His green eyes were exactly like Lily's, and there was a gruesome scar decorating his throat, as if it was sliced open once upon a time...
Like I said before, I could talk about Cutthroat all evening. It's very, very extensive and writing a summary for it is a difficult task for me. You can, however, ask questions, in case you're curious about something specific. Or if you want to know more about some characters, or their family trees or the plot...
Anyways, hope this was not too boring to read, and not too long of an answer. Thank you for asking! Knowing there's someone interested in this AU makes me motivated to do my best and keep working on it. Hope you have a good day!

Your future life with the Hogwarts Legacy folks:
Sebastian Sallow
Tumblr media
Hogsmeade was magical during Yule. Lights and decorated trees, pretty ornaments hung around the houses and the carols sung all around the village. The snow covered streets brought out a cozy feeling that just made you want to hide in the Three Broomsticks with a warm cup of cocoa or a mug of butterbeer next to the fireplace. Thankfully, you didn't have to think about work these days and you could enjoy a holiday with your husband.
Sirona's smiling face greeted you at the entrance. She hadn't aged at all since you were students. "Well if it isn't mr. and mrs. Sallow." She teased. Contrary to what everyone believed, Sebastian had chose to folllw in his family's footsteps and became an auror, who turned his back on the dark arts and instead opted to fight them. Ominis joked that even though you endorsed him all those years, you became the good influence and prompted a change in him after your wedding.
You, yourself had become a professor in Defense against the dark arts at Hogwarts after professor Hecate's retirement. "Oh, stop the formalities, Sirona, its Y/N and Sebastian." You laughed. "I will always remember the times when you were always getting into trouble." Sirona joked "Look at you now. All grown up. What can I get you?" You made your orders and sat at the table next to the fireplace, enjoying its warmth.
"I don't know when was the last time I told you this but I'll remind you. You're the best thing that happened to me. If it wasn't for you, I don't know where I would be right now." Sebastian looked at you with adoring eyes, a smile on his lips. "Azkaban?" You joked. After sharing a small laugh, he continued. "But...really. You made me a better person, professor Sallow." He smirked. "I'm glad to hear it, chief auror Sallow."
Ominis Gaunt
Tumblr media
The ministry was dull and boring as ever. Everyone was so busy and...corporate... You sat at your desk, twiddling around a feather in your hand, wondering what to do, since your work was finished half an hour ago. Wondering if your husband was as workless as you were, you decided to go and check for yourself.
The corridor seemed endless. After finally seeing the door with his name on it, you knocked softly, waiting for an answer. "Minister Gaunt, you have a visitor." You teased him, upon entering. He shot you a welcoming smile, before going back to the papers in front of him. You took a moment to admire him. You always knew he would make it big, despite his disability. He was smart and adaptive. Nothing could stop him from achieving his dreams and you were so proud of him.
You couldn't help but walk over to him and hug him from behind his chair, nuzzling into his neck. "Darling, I have work to do." Ominis kissed your cheek sweetly "I promise, I will not let you go but when we go home." Feeling you pout, he sighed and contemplated for a moment. "My love..." he tried to speak, but you only hugged him stronger. "Just five minutes, Omi, I promise. I'm bored out of my mind." Snaking your body to the front of the chair, you sat on his lap, making him blush. "Ah... Y/N, you do whatever you want with me." Chuckling under his breath, he kissed you passionately, meanwhile casting a spell to lock the door.
Garreth Weasley
Tumblr media
An explosion erupted from within your husband's potions shop, making you sigh. No surprise, with all the experiments he was doing and new concoctions he attempted to brew. You walked inside just in time to see Garreth, covered in soot and liquid, frantically trying to clean up the mess he had made.
"Too high temperature?" You asked, smirking. He looked you and scoffed at your amused face. This wasn't the first time you saw him covered in the mess he created. It was even too many to count. So many it didn't make you burst out laughing anymore. Despite that, he had made himself the name of the best potioneer in England with a successful potions shop and even published a book with his own recipes for potions. So to create said new potions, he had to go through trial and error multiple times a day.
"Too many troll boggeys." He answered, eyeing you up and down to find something to get back at you with "And you? A niffler caught your foot?" He pointed at the noticable missing piece of fabric of pants on your lower leg. You on the other hand, pursued your dreams of taking care of beasts to keep the wild populations stable. "Ah, kneezles get too playful sometimes. I think she believed my leg was a toy tree she could climb on." You waved your hand, dismissing concerns "What were you brewing this time?" Garreth sighed, motioning to the mess around his potion station.
"I attempted to create a potion, which could help the user breathe underwater." He explained "Not turn the user into a newt!" Ignoring your laugh, Garreth waved his wand, putting everything was back into place, clean and tidy "So after failed attempt number one, this is the result of attempt number two." He never failed to put a smile on your face though. "Don't worry, love, I'm sure you will get it next time." You reassured, moving closer to him for a hug, but stopped, remembering his... state right now.
Garreth rubbed the back of his neck. "Ahh...let's leave that for later, alright?" He chuckled.
Amit Thakkar
"I found it!" Amit exclaimed, excitedly shifting in his place, barely able to stop himself from jumping. His voice was quivering from the excitement of his discovery. He had been searching every night for some legendary constellation, appearing only once every few hundred years, or that was what the ancient scriptures that lead him on his search said. After realizing the time of appearance was soon, he spent night after night for a whole week staring up at the sky with his telescope with you to keep him company.
"Look!" He gave you the telescope to see for youself and lo and behold, he was right. A constellation you had never seen before right in front of your eyes. The stars glimmered together in the formation of a figure of a sphinx with two heads - a man's and a snake behind it. It sent shivers down your spine.
"Thank you for supporting me in this, my love." He hugged you so tightly and lovingly "Everyone else thought I was crazy!" You giggled "I knew you could do it. You're the best astrologer of our time." You pecked his lips with a smile, making him blush "Ah, you don't have to inflate my ego." He chuckled shyly and averted his gaze. "That's why I married you, Y/N. You believe in me."

A Year In Love 💚 - Ominis Gaunt x F!MC
Happy one year anniversary to Hogwarts Legacy! I can't believe it's been a whole year since the game has been released! (I can't believe it's been a whole year since I descended into madness over these boys either!)
A few of us in one of the HL Discord servers decided to all write a one year related fic, so here is my contribution to that. Enjoy!
Warnings - None! All Fluff! || 1.5k words
Tumblr media
Ominis stopped walking as he felt his wand begin to rapidly pulsate in his hand - a sign that he had reached his destination. He sat on the grassy ground, using his wand to guide him again as he placed a small bouquet of flowers on his aunt’s grave, which was marked by a large rock, with various smaller colorful rocks and seashells surrounding it.
Today marked one year since the night that Ominis, Sebastian, and the new fifth year ventured into Salazar Slytherin’s Scriptorium, where his aunt Noctua’s remains had been found. She was the only member of his family to show him any compassion, and the only member of his family not obsessed with blood status. She was the only family Ominis felt like he had. Although the night brought back painful memories for Ominis, it also changed the course of his life forever, in the most positive way possible. It was also the night Ominis realized he was in love.
The evening started with Sebastian begging Ominis to join him in venturing into the Scriptorium, eager to see what secrets it held. Ominis didn’t want to go, well aware that the room likely held terrible things. But Sebastian wasn’t about to let it go, enlisting the help of his secret weapon against Ominis - the new fifth year, who Ominis had been harboring a small crush on.
“Please, Ominis?” His name sounded so lovely on her lips, he couldn’t bring himself to say no to her. She was far too convincing. His heart even skipped a beat when she complimented him on his rare ability of being able to speak Parseltongue.
As the trio descended into the tunnel leading to the Scriptorium; however, Ominis cursed himself for allowing his crush on the girl to cloud his better judgment. The tunnel radiated dark magic, and was full of various puzzles which opened the way to more, deeper tunnels. What started as a nerve-wracking endeavor quickly turned into anguish as they reached the entrance to the scriptorium, guarded by a door that required a Cruciatus curse to be cast. In front of the door lay his Aunt Noctua’s long forgotten skeleton, her journal pages around her body confirming it was indeed her.
While Sebastian explored the Scriptorium, thrilled by their discovery, the new fifth year was by Ominis’s side, her arms around him as he sobbed into her shoulder. Ominis felt guilty, knowing that he should have been the one comforting her after she had endured the painful Cruciatus curse from Sebastian. Ominis could feel the way her hands shook as she held him, but despite the pain she was in, she had put his needs before her own. No one had ever put Ominis first, or shown him this level of care, not even his own blood. Her kindness changed him, and it was at this moment that he fell in love with her.
Ominis awoke the next morning deep in denial, He convinced himself that he was just clinging to her because of the compassion she showed him, and he absolutely was not in love with her. That  is, until he received her owl asking to meet outside the castle. When he found her, she explained that she had gone back in the morning and retrieved his aunt’s remains so they could give her a proper burial. Ominis fought the urge to get down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage at that moment.
With her help, Ominis decided on a secluded spot across the Black Lake in a little clearing for her final resting place. The area was surrounded by trees and overlooked Hogwarts - the place Ominis called home.
As the year went on, and the two became closer as friends, Ominis fell deeper in love with her each day. They supported each other when Sebastian strayed further and further away from them, and Ominis showed her the same level of compassion she had shown him in the scriptorium after the battle against Ranrok, when she broke down in his arms after losing Professor Fig - the closest thing she had to a father. Despite the clear connection they shared, Ominis still hadn’t confessed his true feelings, fearful that she only saw him as a friend. That fear was extinguished for good on a random night, after she crashed her lips into his and confessed her own feelings for him after an after hours meeting in The Undercroft. From that moment on they were inseparable.
Ominis was broken out of his thoughts as he heard footsteps approaching. His heart raced when the footsteps got closer and a familiar scent hit his nose - her scent.
“I’m so sorry I’m late, Ominis! Professor Weasley needed me for something after class. I hope you’re not mad!”
Ominis let out a soft chuckle at her words, knowing he could never be mad at her. He stood to greet her, placing his hands on her waist to pull her into a gentle kiss. Once she pulled away, he heard her begin to dig through what sounded like a bag, followed by the sound of a blanket being fluffed out. As if she could read his mind, she explained herself.
“I brought us lunch, the weather is lovely, I thought we could have a picnic!”
As they sat in front of Aunt Noctua’s grave, enjoying the weather and food, Ominis’s mind began to wander again. This time, he thought about their future together. He thought about their graduation, and how he hoped she’d say yes to his elopement proposal he had planned for right after. He thought about what it would be like to have a home of their own, far away from the Gaunts. He even let his mind wander to children. Although he was still uncertain if he wanted to bring more Gaunts into the world, if they did have a daughter, he hoped his future wife would be open to naming her Noctua.
As he said his aunt’s name in his head, he felt a tingle of pain in his heart. She would never get the chance to see him as a married man or a father. She would never get to meet the girl who had stolen his heart and made him so happy. He hoped that she was proud of him for finding someone who loved him and treated him right, unlike the rest of his family. He hoped that she was proud of him for making a new legacy for the Gaunts.
“Are you alright, darling?” Her sweet voice laced with concern flooded his ears and broke him out of his train of thought once again.
“I miss her…” Ominis choked out as tears began to form in his eyes.
His fingertips registered the softness of her hands as she gave his hands a gentle squeeze. “Oh darling, I’m so sorry. I know you do. But she’s not truly gone. The ones who love us never really leave us. They’re always in our hearts and watching over us.”
Ominis squeezed her hands back, his tears freely flowing now. “I wish she could have met you. She would have loved you. I…I hope she’s proud of me.”
Ominis’s heart fluttered as he felt her lips press against his cheek. “She is proud of you. I know she is. So proud of you for doing the Gaunt name justice. She helped make you into the amazing person you are and will grow to be. She’s extremely proud of you, and so am I.”
Releasing her hands to cup her face, Ominis pulled her into a gentle, but passionate kiss. Their lips remained locked for several seconds, Ominis savoring the way her lips felt against his own. Over the course of the past year, he had kissed her many times, never once getting sick of it. He didn’t think he could ever get sick of her.
The couple spent the next hour in the same spot, talking, laughing, and updating Aunt Noctua on things that had happened throughout the year. They stayed until it got dark, Ominis feeling the change in temperature.
“We should probably make our way back, make sure we’re prepared for the potions exam tomorrow. Thank you for joining me today.”
“I wouldn’t have missed this for the world, Ominis.”
She stood up, pulling Ominis to his feet with her. He wished Noctua a good night and assured her that he’d visit again soon before taking his lover’s hand as they made their way back towards the castle.
When they had just reached the Hogwarts grounds, Ominis felt his girlfriend stop walking, but before he could ask her what was wrong, he felt her arms wrap around his neck as she planted a soft kiss to his lips.
“I love you, Ominis Gaunt.” she said softly. He could hear the smile on her face through her voice.
“And I love you.” he said back with a smile. And he did - he had loved her for a year, and planned to love her for many more years to come.

Ominis Gaunt x f!Reader
Summary - Anon request for "Dom Ominis (...or Dominis? 😏) X Reader" Pls let me know thoughts on how I wrote this and whether or not it seems like ~Dominis~
Word Count - 2,926
Warnings - 18+ smut, dom/sub dynamic
A/N - Pls let me know thoughts on how I wrote this and whether or not it seems like ~Dominis~
The year was now 1894 and Ominis had seemingly found some peace for himself, made his own slice of heaven in Feldcroft. Although some days he felt conflict for his relationship with what was left of the Sallows, they had calmed down in their older years.
Anne was still cursed, but all the time it seemed new remedies were being discovered to manage symptoms for survivors of the Ranrok and Rookwood catastrophe. She seemed better than she had in years. Sebastian matured and the silence he got from Ominis and Anne for so long propelled him away from the dark arts and into a lifetime of guilt.
Although Ominis gathered with Anne more than Sebastian these days, he did a lot of keeping to himself. He felt like he lived a lifetime in his 7 years at Hogwarts. Besides, living modestly in the little Hamlet he always wished to call home lended itself to less exhaustion of the Gaunt "fortune" that remained.
The only thing he missed was returning to him today; you. You had really crossed paths with Ominis around year 3. By the time he opened up around you and got comfortable, that odd student appeared in year 5 and drove him into your arms further. They pushed Sebastian in all the wrong directions and you tried desperately to help Ominis pick up the pieces from it.
You had spent some time visiting with muggles down your family tree, that had been your way to escape the chaos. You had encouraged Ominis to break away from his family to live the life of solitude he wanted. The life were he didn't have to be afraid or take anybody else's orders anymore.
Ominis' home wasn't much, but none of it normally mattered to him since he couldn't see it. If he could functionally use it that was good enough. And truth be told he spent to many years navigating grand halls of those in the Sacred 28 when he was forced, not even mentioned 7 years in Hogwarts.
As he anticipated your arrival, though, he got a little bit nervous. You were to be staying with him for a little while, would you find the décor to your liking? Did Sebastian or Anne make an attempt to mess with him and make his kitchen collection terribly mismatched?
As he fiddled with the ruffles of his shirt, cane in the other hand he heard 3 light raps at the door which he knew right away were you. He tried to mask the new heat he was feeling all over before opening the door to let you in.
"Ominis!" You had wanted to take a good long look at him, but couldn't keep yourself from throwing your arms around him first. Through the thin fabric of your blouse and pinafore you could feel how much he'd continued to fill out since you'd seem him last. He felt strong, but lean as he wrapped his free arm around your lower back to pull you close.
You could feel him nuzzle gently against your hair, murmuring your name at barely a whisper. As you stepped back you still maintained proximity, telling yourself it was solely for his sake.
"You look...well," was all you could muster as you raked your eyes over him. He wore perfectly pleated trousers that seemed like they were made for him as the hugged his calves and thighs. They were held up by some leather suspenders that must have been his favorite. His pale ruffled shirt giving you almost a teasing glimpse at the skin beneath it with how light it was.
His height, his figure, both were breathtaking, but when you looked up at his face it caused so many feelings. It was sense of familiarity looking into his milky eyes that still made you self-conscious. The softer lines that used to hollow out his face were not replace with a sharper jaw and fullness. You felt your ears go red at the thought of being alone with this man. He wasn't a boy anymore.
While you used your eyes to take him in you allowed him to use his touch as he always would with you. His fingers ran up the curve of your hip, making him smile as he realized you dressed comfortable to be around him. As he ghosted up your side he pulled back just enough to avoid being indecent and touching your breast which made you contain of whimper of sadness that made you feel conflicted.
He finished his exploration at the top of your shoulder and cupping your face with his palm where you leaned into him.
"I think you look beautiful too." It always made you laugh when he said that to you, but his expression remained soft and you knew he meant it. In all the other ways he was able to see you. He adored you.
"Well, can I come in before a stray Niffler finds it way through here?" His smile lit up the room as you walked through the threshold, closing the door behind you.
"That was one time you know. And I am used to keeping things locked up here now."
His eyebrows furrowed together as he tried to look at you seriously, but you just laughed at him and took a seat in his sitting room.
"I love what you've made here Ominis, it's such a calming place to be." You started unlacing your boots as he padded over to you, leaning against one of the supports of the home.
"It is nice to start making a different meaning for people around here when they hear my name. I feel respected here, but not feared. It doesn't erase anything, but in a way it is like a do-over for me."
Your heart felt happy for him as he talked about his life here. He even spoke of business he had with muggles and muggle-borns and you couldn't keep yourself from beaming at him. It was wonderful to see so much light shining from him after everything he'd endured in his life, after everything that had been done to him and taught to him.
"I suppose you'll be trying to settle down for some little Gaunts soon?" You nearly had instant regret saying those words, feeling unsure why it was important to you in the first place.
It surprised him for you to bring this topic up. So much so that his mouth fell open and he raised his eyebrows. He took a seat next to you before responding.
"I hadn't exactly given it much thought. It's not as if I am forced to marry a cousin to make anymore cursed little offspring." His tone was slightly bitter as he leaned back beside you, crossing his legs and stretching an arm out behind you.
You were unsure if you had upset him or not until he continued, "I hadn't really considered any of the maidens here. I haven't found anyone as remarkable as you."
He leaned forward placing the pads of his fingers along your neck first before wrapping his fingers in place. You felt like you couldn't breathe with what he must be implying, surely you're misunderstanding?
His touch felt different, it felt possessive as he swiped his thumb across your cheek, over your bottom lip and dragging it downward.
"I've thought only about you since we've met," he chuckled, "you have no idea what you did to a teenage boy, huh?"
Your mouth had fallen slack at this point as his hand slipped around your throat, without pressure, but the controlling nature of it was clear.
He shifted closer to you on the couch before he continued, "I'm not a boy anymore," your eyes close and you can feel his breathe fan out onto your face when he moves towards your ear. His words only an erotic whisper at this point, "As it pertains to little Gaunts, there's only one person for that. This is the one exception in my life where I believe I have to take what I want." He tightened his grip on your throat enough for you to understand how serious he was. He used his right hand to creep over your knee, beneath your flimsy skirt, fingers dancing on your thigh as he holds his breath for your reaction.
You can't quite contain a mewl at all the sensation. The baritone of his aroused voice, his lean fingers on your sensitive skin and curled around your neck holding your life beneath them.
He places a soft kiss to your temple, feeling your pulse, your heat, your physical reactions all pointing to this going the direction he wanted it to.
"I will ask your permission this once, to be sure you're prepared for what is to come. If you say yes, I won't be able to hold back, my love."
Truthfully, there was a lot going through your head at once, but there wasn't any way for you to deny the pooling heat between your thighs; the way you leaned into his touch like a fitting puzzle piece.
The words trembled from your mouth in desperation, "Ominis, please take me. Make me yours."
He let out a groan before roughly pulling you over to his lap. You admired his flushed pale cheeks and hair made mussed from sweat as you took in how much he must have been holding back to start out so politely with you.
He pulled your face to his with both hands and kissed you for the first time, it was a mess of teeth and tongue as you both realized just how much you wanted this. You could feel him hot and hard beneath you, your flimsy undergarments soaking as you press yourself against him.
Your hands fumbled along his sides, searching to unhook his suspenders before he used one large hand to grab both of your wrists.
"No," his voice came out breathless between kisses, "I decide when things come off." He used every once of self control to distance himself while holding you still. "Stay on top of me and remove everything."
It was impossible to deny his order. As commanding his tone was, as badly as you knew he wanted this, you couldn't keep yourself from feeling embarrassment. Even as you knew his glossed over eyes couldn't really see you, you had never felt more exposed.
You used one hand to start unfastening the 2 buttons of your jumper and the other to place his atop the one of yours doing all the work. You knew he couldn't see what was going on, but you wanted him to be apart of all of it. To feel your pulse racing and your skin heating up from exposure.
Despite him commandeering this whole endeavor, he couldn't keep himself under control as the buttons of your blouse came undone and he made contact with the soft skin beneath. You hadn't had on any upper under garments upon showing up at his door and he couldn't handle it.
He shoves it down your shoulders, grabbing your jumper to go down with it leaving you in just your bloomers. His actions were rough now as you arched your back to his every touch, him committed to memorizing the dips and curves of your body.
"You came to see me with only knickers beneath all this?" His tone was hoarse and you reveled in the fact that it was you making him feel and act this way.
"It's almost like you were begging me to take you before you even got to my door step, " his fingers dipped below the waistband tracing your stomach, "you're lucky you even made it to me in one piece," he falls past the soft tuft of hair on your mound, causing you to jolt and whine in want as he dips past your lips, "or maybe you're not. I do quite plan on torturing you in my own way."
Your hands gripped his thighs band you as you struggled to sit still, his fingers exploring and his thumb doing a number on your swollen clit. It felt euphoric to give yourself over to him, letting him be in control.
He used his hand in your bloomers effortlessly making you squirm and call out his name, begging him for more as he chuckled at you. His free hand pinching and squeezing and bit of exposed flesh he could; your thighs, your breasts, your belly. He needed to memorize all of it and mark it up for anyone who could see. Anyone who might dare try and take what was rightfully his all these years.
He took his hand away suddenly which made you open your eyes that had been squeezed shut in ecstasy. He unbuttoned his own shirt like it was nothing, eyes remaining on you as if he knew how much more heated if got you.
You just watched him in awe as he exposed his white and speckled chest with small blonde bits of hair you had never seen before. He popped his suspenders off a bit more careful as to not injure either one of you with them.
Then came the trousers. You attempted to sit still, not wanting to be scolded for trying to do anything without his command, but you couldn't keep yourself from leaning forward, mouth open and practically watering at the sinful display.
As he unfastened himself, the first thing you saw was neat display of hair and just a preview of the veins at the base of his cock. He pulled your lips to his, grabbing you by the back of your neck as you whimpered his name.
Your eyes scanned his face as he broke his kiss with you, strings of saliva between the pair of you.
"Darling, I know how deprived you are. I know you waited just for me, you filthy girl. However, I on the other hand am feeling depraved, so get on your knees for me, deslure."
Your eyebrows shot up as he spoke the last of his sentence to you in parseltongue. You had heard it before, you had imagined him saying indecent things without your knowledge, but you'd never heard it direct at you undoubtedly being something of filth.
He applied pressure on your shoulders to encourage you off of him and into the floor. Once he was sure you were listening, he lifted himself up enough to slide his trousers down past his knees and you felt like you were going to go feral.
You slid your palms up his thighs watching him toss and turn his head in some agony he decided to allow you to give him. His cock was thick and it made you nervous, having never done anything like this. Nonetheless, you felt hungry to please him and let that guide you.
You gingerly placed kisses along his thighs, his balls, and everywhere except where he clearly needed them most; where he was dripping in anticipation for them.
"More, please. I won't ask next time." He nearly betrayed the big bad persona he was putting on, but you were compelled to follow his every order. You used your tongue to start lapping up his pre-cum and spreading the mixture with your spit all over him.
He couldn't taken it as he moaned from up above you and reached a large hand down to press you up against him. He rutted himself helplessly against your lips and cheeks, gripping you the entire time until he pulled you back enough to allow you to take him into your mouth.
He gave you as much time as he could to go slow, but soon he was holding your head in place and barely giving you the time to breathe while he fucked your mouth, pure filth spilling from his lips.
"Y/N, you're so fucking perfect," he thrusted against your gags and protests, "you-I I didn't think you'd be so good to me all by yourself," you were swallowing your spit and him, yearning to please him with tear-stained eyes, "I-I thought you were so innocent. But you're taking my cock somewhere it can't even give you a baby," you could feel him start to tense up and pick up his rhythm as you gasped for air, "you're letting me fuck your smart, wet , little mouth like such a whore. I bet you wanted it all this time."
He yelled out your name at this point, holding your face down while you spluttered against him, feeling hot cum slide down your throat.
His grip softened and turned to petting you as you pulled away, leaning against his legs and coughing. He took a minute to catch his breath before leaning forward to guide you back up onto the sofa.
You collapsed against his damp chest, letting your eyes close to relax.
"Ominis?" you spoke softly, "I would like to do more things with you some time," you blushed at your own words and the confession you were about to make, "other things too. Maybe going out to feed the nifflers and...maybe actually having that baby. Er, making it too."
Even though you knew he couldn't see you, you still burrowed further against him as he tightened his grip on you comfortably.
"Absolutely, Y/N. You could, maybe help this place have a woman's touch when we do have guests over. Uh, a-uh, a seeing woman."
You smiled against him in spite of both of your terrible confessions about wanting something more together.

i love your ominis fic! it’s so well written. could i request him and #10 from the prompt list?
(so for once in my life) let me get what i want
ominis gaunt x reader (hogwarts legacy)
ominis tells you his plans for the future and adopts a new name
prompt: "please. please just listen to me."
word count: 2253
warnings: hogwarts legacy spoilers! some violence; gaunt family pureblood purity nonsense; seventh-year ominis and gang (sebastian redemption arc); timeskip & a surprise cameo/twist? :O ominis is a very powerful wizard because of his heritage, and he's even more powerful than his family because of his kind heart; occamies can speak parseltongue (source: trust me bro)
Tumblr media
when the impossible happened, when it turned out that you also reciprocated his feelings, ominis' world changed.
he always tells you, "we took the long way round, but we're here now." and every time, you would reach for his hand and squeeze. he can almost sense your smile every time.
ominis had been thinking about it. you were it for him, and he hopes you feel the same way. he was tired.
of hiding you.
so ominis made up his mind.
once you both graduate from hogwarts, he would not return to his family. the gaunts aren't his family--not anymore. it was his friends, and you.
-
"what are you doing outside, sulking here?"
he turns to the sound of your voice and the door opening, and you sit beside him. slowly, you reach for his hand and guide a steaming cup of tea. he mutters a 'thank you' and takes a sip.
you tell him that feldcroft looks nice at this time of the year, so not unlike the time it was ravaged by poachers and ranrok's loyalists. there is laughter in the air, children running around and playing in the snow. carolers singing every night by a bonfire. you always go to the carolers and hand out hot cocoa.
ominis and sebastian would usually sit there, outside the sallow house, listening as you and anne, now good as new, play with the kids, picking snowball fights with the enchanted snowman. you two make them help set up a giant christmas tree for the hamlet. he would fret whenever you climb up the ladder to place ornaments, insisting that using your wand "isn't as accurate". that entire day, while you and anne were busy decorating the tree, ominis would be standing guard by the ladder, making sure that not even the wind can shake it.
he likes it here. it's quiet, and while he enjoys holidays in the castle, being with his family here in feldcroft feels better.
"the kids are scaring the scarecrow again," he tells you with a smile, and you both turn in the direction of the children and the squawking of the poor scarecrow.
anne bursts out the door, smiling when she sees you two. "there you are!" she exclaims. a folded woolen blanket is hanging on her arms, "i knew ominis would be here sulking--"
"i am not sulking--"
"so i got you a blanket to keep you warm. i know y/n wouldn't leave you out here in the cold."
you gratefully take the blanket from her, thanking her before splaying it on yourself and ominis. "have you finished packing?"
"me?" anne points at herself, "of course not! sebastian and i don't pack until you start nagging for us to leave."
"because we need to return to hogwarts by tonight," you remind her.
anne rolls her eyes, waving you off, "we can pack everything quickly, don't worry. you and ominis enjoy the sun while it lasts."
you hum, and watch her enter the house again. turning to ominis, you watch him sip his tea quietly, "you ready?"
"hmm?" he asks behind the rim of the teacup.
"our final term," you sigh, "and then we're done with school."
ominis starts thinking about it again.
"i have to tell you something."
you don't say anything, but wait until he starts talking.
"i've decided...i've decided not to return to my family after graduation."
shocked, you open your mouth to say something, anything. but you know that he has made up his mind about this. "but, they'll start looking for you."
"i know." ominis is quiet for a bit, hands warming up around his cup, as he tries to collect his thoughts. some time ago, he knew that he eventually would have to go into hiding once he decided to leave the family. he just...well, he just needed to tell you about it. "we'll have to lay low for a while."
"we?" you aren't sure if you heard him right. did 'we' mean you and him? you, him, and the twins?
"my family will be looking for us. and if you're with me, i can protect you better."
so that's what he had been sulking about, you think to yourself. ever since you arrived to feldcroft to spend the holidays with the twins, you would always find ominis deep in thought. is this what he was thinking about?
it feels like a death sentence, ominis thinks. you deserve better than going into hiding so soon after graduating. you should be going out there, exploring the world, not being afraid that a family of dark wizards would find you. but he knows his family will not let him go, not with you. and if something happened to you, well, he would never forgive himself.
"i'm sorry," he blurts out. he is frustrated about this, and he knows you must be too. he is sure that you're already processing the fact that you'll be losing months, years of your life trying to hide from his family. he wouldn't blame you if you start despising him now. he would too. "i didn't mean for this to happen."
"wait...ominis," you gently take the cup from his hands to settle it on the ground, "it's alright."
ominis shakes his head, now becoming upset, "no, you don't understand...i don't understand. why aren't you mad at me? you should be!
because of who i am...the darkness in my family is never going to go away, and it will infect you...i'm sorry." ominis hears the crack in his voice and the tears started to flow.
immediately, you kneel into the dirt, cupping his face, "hey, ominis...please. please, just listen to me." you brush your thumbs against his cheeks, wiping his tears, tracing the beauty marks that you love.
"i'll be fine as long as i'm with you," you whisper to him. "i don't care if we have to hide, as long as i have you...everything will be alright."
he sniffs, raising his hands to cup yours resting on his cheeks. he turns and brushes his lips on your palm, "i love you," he tells you, "i would do anything for you, and i will keep you safe, i promise."
"i know, love," you tell him, tears threatening to spill down your cheeks, not from anguish, but from joy. of course you would follow him anywhere. "i love you too, and i will also keep you safe."
ominis says nothing, but nods before leaning forward, resting his head against yours.
let me keep her, please. he thinks. for once in my life, let me get what i want. lord knows it would be the first time.
-
he should have known that these rogue poachers were also looking for him. they accidentally came across the group, as you four were flying back to the castle. they intercepted you, and you had to land somewhere.
"i don't know if you 'eard," a poacher yells as he and his colleagues start to descend to your location, "but the gaunt family is looking to pay a hefty sum if we could get their son and his friends back to them!"
"all the galleons we could ever want!" exclaimed another, "we'll never have to poach for animals in this blasted forest again."
"ominis," you whisper, reaching frantically for him as he takes a step forward, wand out. sebastian stands beside him. you see anne pull her wand out and you do so anxiously, staring at the poachers and trying to keep yourself calm.
it is quiet for a bit, and then the curses and hexes start flying. incantations hurriedly leaving everyone's lips as you tried your best to see where the enemies are in the thick of the night. you worry for your friends, jumping by anne's side, pulling on her jumper as you conjure a shield for you both. as ominis and sebastian try to hold off a horde of poachers in front of you, you don't notice one disillusioned themselves until there was the tip of a wand pressing against your neck and a ragged, "STOP!" is shouted behind you, almost deafening your ear.
ominis turns to the side at the sound, wand still raised and his brows furrowed when he realizes that one slipped past him.
"let go of her."
"we don't want trouble with you, i know you gaunts are a powerful lot," the poacher who has wrapped his arm around your neck tightens it a little. "i just want missy here, and you to come with us back to mummy and daddy."
he raises his wand, ready to strike the man who has you captive.
"ominis..." you start, before the tip of the wand dig deeper into your neck and you shut yourself up with a whimper. ominis cringes at the sound.
"please--" ominis bares his teeth as he lowers his wand
"drop your wand and walk towards me."
"please just listen to me," ominis implores, but the man didn't want to listen to him.
"any sudden movements and she's gone," he pulls on your hair, "your parents want you alive, but didn't say that for her."
now seething in anger, ominis nods before dropping his wand. this appeases the poacher, who tells him to start walking towards him. then, he hears voices.
voices he haven't heard in some time. are you alright? do you need help?
masking it as a pained hiss, ominis answers, yes, get rid of the poacher. he threatens to hurt the beasts in this forest.
i am not from this forest. nor from this land. these poachers took me.
you're close now, ominis can hear your muffled whimpers. help me with the poacher, and we will help you return home.
in a flash, you are released from the poacher's grip and ominis takes a few strides before reaching you. he holds you close as you gasp at the sight before you: a large, winged serpentine beast grabs the poacher by the shoulders and they disappear.
"what--"
"that was an occamy!" anne shouts, running to your side to embrace you and ominis, "thank goodness you're alright!" sebastian runs to you all, sighing in relief when he sees no one is hurt.
you turn to ominis, still in shock. "you saved me..."
"i promised i would," he tells you.
"but..." you turn back to the sky, where you see the occamy flying closer and closer. ominis says nothing, but waves his wand to materialize his suitcase and open it. the occamy flies into it and it shuts. "the occamy..."
"professor howin or ellie peck will make sure that she gets back to her home."
you nod at him, a smile slowly forming on your face before you rush in and plant a small kiss on his cheek. flushing, you start to walk back to where you dropped your broom, ignoring the teasing grin on anne's face.
"well, that was--"
"if you say one more thing sebastian, i will have the occamy choke you."
-
years later, anne and sebastian sallow find themselves in front of a tiny cottage by the sea. it has become tradition to spend the holidays here.
here to deliver the news, sebastian, now an auror, is excited to let them know. the gaunts have stopped looking for them.
you greet them at the door, throwing your arms around anne is joy. "happy christmas!" you tell her, "i'm so glad you made it here safely!"
"the only danger we encountered on the way here were the drunkards outside of feldcroft!" anne exclaims with a laugh, moving to take off her coat and hang it as you hug sebastian.
"any news?" you whisper against his ear.
sebastian pulls away from you with a grin, "yes. where is he?"
"in the studio," you nod to the direction of the room, "now off with your coat and let's move to the studio."
-
he has learned to enjoy it. at first, he huffed when you told him you bought him the wheel, but eventually, he realized how much he loved it. it was calming, and it certainly helped that you also appreciate the finished products he would gift you.
when sebastian tells him that the gaunts finally stopped searching, ominis couldn't really say he's relieved. he was relieved years ago, when he stopped feeling the dark shadow engulfing his being. despite that, he enjoys knowing that they didn't have to hide anymore.
he feels his wife's comforting hand on his shoulder, and he teasingly reaches for it with his own.
"ah, ominis, you're getting me dirty!" you complain, but he only laughs. "i have to go check on the food, and then we can all have dinner."
"how can you even move around with your condition?" sebastian asks, and you huff, rolling your eyes at him before cradling the swollen bump in front of you. "i don't think my child is as big-headed as you seb, that's why i'm still able to move around."
anne and ominis laugh at that. "i'll help," ominis announces, as he gets up from his potter wheel and makes his way towards the kitchen (where you proudly display the many potteries your husband made you).
the twins follow shortly, chortling at how domesticated you both look, especially after adopting a new name. this new name ominis is proud of, because not like the one he is born with, becoming a "potter" is his choice, and with you, he's all the better for it.
-
i was listening to please please please let me get what i want (idk if thats obvious)
i hope you all like this one ;A;
i popped out so many ominis fics today my thesis is jealous aaaaaaaa

Merry Christmas, Darling
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1,200 (Tiny for me, but I haven't written in almost a year so forgive me.)
Summary: Ominis is going to miss you over the holidays. || Ominis Gaunt x reader|| Hurt but with plenty of comfort.
Warnings: This is as fluffy as a good sweater.
In the eyes of Ominis Gaunt, Christmas was a complicated thing. He loved it. Truly. Though, he'd never actually had one until he was eleven years old - when Anne and Sebastian Sallow invited him to their uncle's cottage in Feldcroft. They asked him to be there, they told him all these stories about how muggles celebrate the holiday, and their modest Christmas dinner was the best thing he'd ever tasted. The whole house felt so warm.
And...
They gave him gifts.
No one had ever done that.
He hadn't had anything for them that first time, but they told him that was alright. Of course, he had remedied his ignorance every year afterward and for three more blissful years, everything was perfect.
Until fifth year, when Ominis' only Christmas gift was comforting Anne through her nightmares – frightful visions of a goblin disemboweling itself in front of her. And her brother's manic grin.
Ominis was sixteen now, and Sebastian was gone. Anne was too.
In all his time at school, he'd never gone home for winter break and he didn't intend to now. Even if he had nowhere to go instead.
Because you were leaving him too.
He'd be, once again, alone.
You'd be going home to your own family to spend Christmas surrounded by love and warmth. Not that he wasn't happy for you, he was! But you wouldn't be with him.  It wasn't your fault. You'd begged your parents to let him come along.
But why, oh why, would they ever approve? How could they possibly want him – a Gaunt – in their household?
"That family has a reputation, Y/N." They'd said.
Well, they were right. And he was bitter. And he was sad. And he just wanted to spend Christmas with you. Why was that too much to ask?
He heard you sigh next to him. The sound brought him back to reality. You hadn't left for home yet. You'd leave in the morning. For now, however, you were curled up against him on the sofa in front of the fireplace in the Slytherin Common Room. The flames crackled and roared and he so adored the scent of pine and applewood burning. You hadn’t left him yet. He could still feel you.
Your cheek against his shoulder. Your hand in his. You smelled like peppermint.
“I wish you could come with me,” You whispered. And you didn’t say you wished you could stay. Because you loved your family and he was so happy that you did. He wished he had the same luxury.
“As do I,” He said. He tried to smile.
“I’ll miss you.”
“I hope you will.” He knew he’d miss you so much more.
He felt you shift, resting your forehead against his arm now, stroking from his forearm to his hand. You drew in a breath.
“Greeting cards have all been sent… the Christmas rush is through. But I still have one wish to make, a special one for you.” The tune was slow and you sang it so softly. He’d be the only one in the common room to hear it. You didn’t have the most beautiful voice he’d ever heard, but in that moment, you sounded like an angel. Ominis squeezed your hand tighter.
“Merry Christmas, darling. We're apart, that's true. But I can dream, and in my dreams, I'm Christmas-ing with you.”
“That’s a very nice thought.” He interrupted, unable to stop a smile from tugging at the corner of his lips. You laughed and kept singing.
“Holidays are joyful. There's always something new. But every day's a holiday. When I'm near to you.” He ducked his head and blushed, and not just a little bit. See, you were one of those people who never said a word you didn’t mean - unlike him. You were always so sincere.
“Oh, how flattering.”
You kissed the back of his hand.
“The lights on my tree, I wish you could see. I wish it every day.”
“Why would I need them when I have you?” He murmured. As if you weren’t doing enough, you leaned in to kiss his cheek. You were warm. You’d take your warmth with you.
“Logs on the fire fill me with desire to see you and to say that I wish you Merry Christmas. Happy New Year too. I've just one wish on this Christmas Eve. I wish I were with you.”
He couldn’t take it anymore. He stood up abruptly, grabbed your soft, warm hands, and pulled you up against him. You were wearing his sweater. It was far too big for you so he had to go searching for your hands in its sleeves, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. One arm around your waist, yours around his neck, your hand in his.
“Dance with me?” He breathed. “Just once more… before you go.”
And sure, you wouldn’t be leaving him forever. But it would feel like longer.
You laughed that sweet laugh of yours and he knew that if he could bottle the atmosphere around them, that emotion on his tongue would keep him warm through the winter. He held you tighter, trying to memorize every inch, every layer of your scent. There was peppermint, and cinnamon, chocolate, and pine. He loved it all. You smelled like the only home he had left. When you were gone, your scent was all he’d have of you. Your family was poor as dirt. Ominis didn’t care, but your parents wouldn’t allow you any money to spend on him of all people. You were the only gift he wanted now anyway. Your presence alone was too much to ask, yet you gave it so willingly.
“Logs on the fire fill me with desire to see you and to say that I wish you a Merry Christmas. Happy New Year too. I've just one wish on this Christmas Eve, I wish I were with you.” You stood up on your tip-toes to whisper to him. Your hand found its way into his hair. “I wish I were with you.”
His breath hitched and what was a dance collapsed into a longing embrace. He held you as tight as he could, burying his face in your shoulder. Though he wasn’t one to be so cavalier with expressions of emotion, he couldn’t help but dip his head to nip at your collarbone. The mark he knew he’d leave wasn’t for him. He just… didn’t want you to forget, was all. And he had to leave more kisses - a trail of them along your perfectly smooth throat. He hoped the taste of your skin would keep his cheeks burning through the January freeze.
You were the one to kiss his lips. When you pulled away, you placed your hands on his cheeks and rubbed your nose against his.
“Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas…” You whispered.
He sighed.
“Merry Christmas, darling.”
That sweater of his that you were wearing… after wishing you farewell at the train station, he’d find it folded on his bed when he got back. It smelled like you. A note in Braile accompanied it.
“To keep you warm until I return. Wear it. (I cast a preservation charm on it this morning.)”
He did wear it. And your scent on the wool didn’t fade until you returned and tugged it off him.
This fic is dedicated to @witchcraftandgeekness for telling me to f#ck everybody. Not in the sexy way.

Reunion // Ominis Gaunt
Warnings: NSFW. Dominis. Unprotected sex.
Ominis Gaunt x Reader
One shot
Word count: 4,744
Keep in mind I'm Dyslexic so there may be spelling/grammar/punctuation errors.
Tumblr media
Summery: Ominis has been gone on Auror work and has been out of the country for years. He is finally home and comes around for a little reunion.
A/N: I'm so sorry you are all subjected to such a long rambling. My fingers ran and I followed. Hope you enjoy. Part of this was inspired by this image.
Ominis Gaunt. How to explain Ominis Gaunt?
He was kind. He was caring. He understood your problems. It was very interesting when she learned he was blind. It was many years ago, she had failed a Charms exam. Looking back on it now, that exam wasn't even that important. It was a silly thing to think about how hard she was crying as she walked through the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower. The echoing of shoes and sobs following her as she wandered aimlessly around the castle. All of her other friends had already gone to their other classes, leaving her alone with her emotions and thoughts.
"Excuse me?" A gentle voice said behind her.
Turning, she saw a boy. She had seen him before, with his blonde hair slicked back and his piercing blue eyes that never seemed to see her. He was in one of Her other classes, Herbology maybe?
She wiped her face on her robe sleeve, trying to rid the signs of her salty tears before he could get a good look and ask questions.
"Yes?" She said, maybe a little more cutting than she intended.
He didn't seem to notice, "I couldn't help but hear you crying. Are you alright?"
He knew.
"O-Oh. Yes.....I'm fine," She gave a weak smile in hopes of reassuring him.
"You don't sound fine," He took a few steps closer to her, his wand firmly held out in front of him.
Why did he have his wand out like he was ready for a fight?
She sniffled again, "I am. Promise."
A small chuckle escaped his lips, "Very interesting. Already making promises and braking them. And we haven't known each other more than five minutes."
What did he know?
He made his way across the marble floor to stand in front of her. It was interesting, the way he had come from only lead to a dead end, but she could have sworn he wasn't there when she originally passed that part of the corridor.
"Please, I know you don't know me very well, but I can be a very good listener. If you need to talk with someone."
And that that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. Not only did he help her feel better that day, but he was always the constant comfort for her during the rest of her schooling days. It wasn't exactly either of their faults when things started to get in the way after graduation and neither of them had really seen each other in person for a few years. Always owls back and forth about where their career paths took them.
Ominis was actually a very good Auror, despite his lack of vision. He and Sebastian worked together, which made her happy that they could stay close with one another. It was a nasty thing that happened with them during their fifth year. It took a while for them to rekindle their friendship. That was really when Ominis and her got close. They were good friends before, but in those months after the incident, Ominis was the one who needed comfort. And that's where she came in. He had alway been there for her, and it was her turn to be there for him. And that's how she found out more about his family. What they did to people. To Him. And there was no way she were going to make him go back to them over the summer.
So she offered to let him stay with her. An offer he tried his hardest to refuse, but she wouldn't let him. The summer months spent with her family were an integral part of what made their bond so strong. The days spent out behind her home sitting in the grass under the old oak tree. The sound of her voice as she read him all of those stories she always talked about. He would often slip into a cat nap as she read to him. When she noticed she couldn't help but smile and continue on reading, lest he wake up again.
And now here she was, sitting at the table in her flat as an owl swooped in, dropping a letter in front of her. She had been expecting the small envelope for a few days. Details of when Ominis would be coming into the city again. He had been away somewhere in Eastern Europe on a case for a while. He had told her that she would not be able to refuse to see him, it had been far too long. She had offered him to come to her flat. She knew he wasn't one for crowded pubs, much preferring a quiet setting.
I'll be there on Friday.
7pm.
Ominis
It was an oddly short note, but he surely was getting things wrapped up and didn't have a lot of time to be sending out his normal pages of writing she had grown accustomed to.
--
She fiddled with her dress, smoothing the silk under her fingers. The motion was almost unconscious, a way for her to let out the small bit of anxiety that was bubbling up in the pit of her stomach. She poured herself a glass of wine and took a few sips, hoping to calm her nerves. She knew that Ominis couldn't see her, but she still felt the need to check her appearance in the mirror one more time, just to be sure she looked okay. She had always had a soft spot for the man--She even had a crush on him during their school years. She could feel the old emotions of that school girl crush coming back up to the surface as the clock inched closer to seven. She shook her head, trying to get rid of those thoughts. It had been years since she'd seen him, she was acting silly.
There was a knock at the door.
She set her glass down on the table before making her way down the hall and opening the door.
And there he was, in all of his glory. Time had been very kind to him. He still sported his hair style from school, slicked back and still just as blonde as it had always been. He still had the same smile on his face. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she took him in. He had a wonderful blue three piece suit that fit his chest and arms snuggly.
She took a deep breath, collecting herself, "Ominis!"
"Hello, dear," He held his arms out, inviting her in for a hug.
She didn't hesitate to walk right into them as she snaked her arms around his torso, burying her face into his chest. She felt his arms close around her in a tight hug. The feeling of being in his arms was just something so right. She could feel the butterflies of her old crush fluttering in her chest. She almost welcomed them as she took in his cologne. He smelled of mint and something she couldn't quite pinpoint. Perhaps a new aftershave? It had been a long time, he was bound to have something different about him. She wasn't complaining though, she welcomed the delicious aroma he put off.
"Miss me that much?" He chuckled, still holding onto her tightly.
She felt the rumble in his chest as he laughed, and she realized she could hear his heart beating as well, thrumming against his ribs. She looked up at him from her place in his arms and giggled lightly as his jest.
"Is that such a bad thing?" She questioned with a teasing tone to her voice.
She saw the small smile he had been wearing grow wider at her question and he shook his head, "I suppose not."
She smiled up at him and slowly pulled away from his arms, taking his hand and leading him into her home, "Tell me about Eastern Europe. You know I don't get to travel. I would love to hear about it."
They found seats at her small table in her kitchen and she poured him a glass of wine before sitting back where she had her own sitting from before.
"Well, I'm not sure how much I can tell you. Sebastian did do a wonderful job at painting me a picture of what it looked like, but I'm not sure I could really do it justice," He admitted as he took a sip of his wine.
"Well, tell me how you saw it. What opinions do you have in that brilliant head of yours."
He smiled again, "Well, how to describe it...."
He thought for a moment, swirling his wine in his hand as he sank back in his chair. He was starting to relax, lose all those silly 'proper' mannerisms. He knew he could really relax with her, not have to worry about the judgment he was so used to.
After a moment he spoke up, "Well, it could be loud. Walking the streets with Sebastian. He told me how beautiful the architecture was, how different it was from home. There were always carriages being driven around, and people. But, there was a little shop down one of the quieter side streets. They had the most wonderful coffee there, and good pastries. The smell of them was so delicious," He was smiling widely as he recounted the memory, "And at night, when all of the people were finally gone.....It was so peaceful. The only sounds were my footsteps and a few owls that had a nest near where we were staying. That was when I really enjoyed the city."
She smiled at him, "That does sound lovely. Maybe on day you can show me that little pastry shop."
"I would love to. I thought about you every time I went there, you know. I know how much you adore sweets and sugary things."
He thought of her? Well, of course she thought of him, but she hadn't thought that he gave her much more thought than when he got a letter from her that he had to write a reply to. It almost caught her off guard.
Ominis noticed her silence and spoke again, "Darling, I must admit--I thought about you more than when I went to that shop. More than when I got your letters," He sighed, running a hand through his hair before he sat up straight again, "I don't know how I've managed these years apart from you, being back here now. When you opened the door I felt like I dove head first into the Black Lake. I can't keep my feelings a secret any longer."
His feelings? What was he talking about? Surely his didn't mean what she thought he did.
He stood from his place at the table and came to stand in front of her before swiftly getting to his knees. He held his hands out to her, an invitation that she couldn't decline. She placed her hands in his and he squeezed them lightly. She looked down at him as he stayed like that for a moment before he continued.
"I'v had feelings for you since we were at school. I thought that maybe it was just a school boy's crush and I would get over it. I didn't want to jeopardize our friendship on something that I would forget about in a few weeks," He chuckled, "But I was very wrong."
She sat there, him still holding onto her hands. She watched him carefully, taking in every detail she could. How his pale skin seemed to almost glow under the light filling the room. Every last little beauty mark on his face--They almost looked like constellations. She had realized she was holding her breath at that point and took a sharp inhale.
She felt Ominis's hands tighten around hers as she did so, almost as if he was afraid of her answer. Like if he didn't hold her tight enough, she would float away like a balloon in the wind.
She still harbored feelings for him, but it had been years. He was bound to be a different person, as was she. Would they be able to have a relationship after being away from each other for so long?
"Ominis-" She began before being cut off by his deep sigh.
"Please, just give this a chance. Give us a chance. I have lived without you for too long. You are every thought on my mind. Your voice is like sweet nectar to my ears. Your scent is intoxicating. I understand why men do such rash things for the women they love. I would do anything for you. Anything to be the one who gets to know who you really are behind closed doors. To be the one who gets to feel your soft caress," He suddenly let go of her hands and moved them to rest one on  the arm of her chair, and the other to rest on her thigh.
The feeling of his hand on her sent a shiver up her spine. She felt the goosebumps rising under his touch. His words were already making her feel dazed. How could he hide such strong feelings from her for so long? Why did he pick now to tell all of it to her?
She felt his hand squeeze her thigh lightly, another sigh leaving his lips.
"I don't think you understand what you do to me, darling," He chuckled and shook his head almost in a teasing way.
"What?" She could feel her underwear staring to get damp.
He leaned in closer, his chest now hovering over her body and his head tilted up to hers as she looked down at him, "You don't understand what you do to me." His voice was husky now, and barely above a whisper.
She felt her breath hitch and her skin ignite under the warmth of his proximity. Her heart was practically beating out of her chest and the butterflies in her stomach threatened to fly away with her. In that moment, she could swear that Ominis was staring right at her. Pouring his soul into hers.
He leaned in even more, noses touching and lips ghosting over each other, "I'm going to kiss you now, if you'll allow it."
She barely heard him over the sound of blood pumping in her ears. She couldn't manage to speak, not the she didn't try. So, she opted to just nod ever so lightly, not wanting to move her lips too far away from his.
He pressed his lips to hers, gentle and sweet. It was in his nature to be gentle with her. He had always been that way with her. His hand on the chair swiftly moved to the crook of her neck, finally giving her the skin on skin contact she hadn't realized she was craving. His thumb rested gingerly on her jaw as their lips moved in sync.
After Ominis had done his testing of the waters, she felt his kiss get more aggressive, more rough. More like he was drinking in the sweet waters he had been yearning for, for years. The fire in him only growing as her lips moved to match his rhythm, surprisingly enough for her. She didn't realize she had wanted this so badly, to feel his lips on hers, to feel his hands on her. It was enough to drive her mad, and she craved more.
Ominis moved his lips from hers, earning a soft whimper in disagreement. He chuckled again as his lips adeptly found their way to her neck, laying a path of soft kisses.
She bit her lip, feeling the trail of heat and the tingling sensation he left in his wake. His hand on her thigh moved suddenly, slipping higher, his thumb grazing as he went. He was getting dangerously close to her now. She let out a soft moan as he began sucking on her neck.
She felt him smirk into her skin, "I want to see you. All of you."
What did that mean? See her?
His mouth moved to her ear, his hot breath washing over her. And almost as if he read her mind he spoke in a hushed whisper, "You know I see with my hands."
Oh.
Oh.
Her body moved before her mind could process. She quickly stood, causing Ominis to almost fall over. He was thankfully quick on his feet, standing not a moment later. She grabbed his hand and pulled him along behind her as she made her way to her room.
As soon as she crossed the threshold, his hands were all over her. She would never know how he seemed to just know. Right now, though, all she could think about was he feeling of him running his hands down her sides as he pressed his body against hers from behind. He went straight back to kissing her neck again as his hands moved to the back of her dress.
She could feel as he delicately undid each button, running his fingers behind on the newly exposed skin of her back.
"Your skin is so much softer than I imagined," He said as he laid a few kisses across her shoulders, pulling the dress down off of them.
As soon as it he got it past her shoulders he let go, letting it fall to the floor, all but forgotten as he slid his hands down her back slowly. Savoring every inch of her now exposed body.
Her breathing was shallow. She took quick breaths to try and fill her lungs, but nothing she did could stop them from screaming at her as she felt his hands leaving goosebumps behind them.
"W-Would you like me to show you?" She managed out.
He hummed an agreement, his fingers still tracing out the shape of her shoulder blades under her skin.
She turned to face him, almost as if he was commanding her and she was to obey. He held his hands out to her, his eyes half closed in what only could be disturbed as a sultry glance. She bit her lip, taking his hands by his wrists. She could feel his pulse. She was glad that his body had to be screaming at him as much as hers was.
Gently, she brought his hands to her chest, letting him cup her breasts in his hands. She watched him as he did so, his mouth falling open ever so slightly. He moved his thumbs over her hardened nipples which elicited a muffled moan from her as she clamped down harder on her bottom lip. She watched him smirk and blink a few times before she moved his hands, sliding them along her abdomen to rest on her hips. He squeezed lightly at first before digging his fingers into her flesh, his nails almost leaving marks.
"You are exquisite," He breathed.
He squeezed one more time and she felt her legs getting more slick by the second. She then moved his hands behind her, letting him rest them on her bum. He gave it a good squeeze before leaning in and kissing her again. His lips hungry for her, passion and desire leaking out of them.
She realized that she was the only one naked in the moment, and she wasn't about to let him get away with that. She quickly started unbuttoning his vest as their tongues melded together. The only sounds in the room were wet lips and heavy breathing with a few moans here and there.
Ominis's hands moved again, this time on their own to grab her hips again, digging his nails into her skin. She let out a small moan, prompting him to do it again. After a few more moments of unbuttoning his clothing and wet kissing, he stood before her in just his trousers.
She took in the sight of him, soaking in every detail of his form. He was still lean as he had been in school, but there were ever so slight layers of muscle that tugged at his skin in just the right way. He looked absolutely divine. Her lip found it's way between her teeth again as she tried to count every little round mark on his skin. She could spend hours just trying to commit each one's location to memory.
"Enjoying the view?" He raised an eyebrow at her as he kicked out of his shoes.
"Oh, more than you know."
He let out a deep chuckle as he stepped toward her.
"Lay down," His voice was rough and commanding.
She didn't hesitate to obey, quickly making her way to the bed and laying down. He made his way to her, grabbing her thighs and pulling her to the edge of the bed. She let out a small yelp to which he only smirked. He guided her underwear off slowly, letting his fingers graze her skin. He spread her legs wide, holding on to her knees as he he knelt down in front of her. His hands moved from her knees and slid slowly up her inner thighs, his calloused fingertips grazing her in a way that made her feel like she was on fire. He slipped on of his hands under her leg, lifting it onto his shoulder and firmly holding it in place by her thigh. He squeezed again, pressing his cheek into her soft skin.
"You are a divine gift from the Gods, my sweet."
Every time he spoke words like that to her, she could feel her whole core tremble. If he could make her feel like this with just words, what could he do-?
Her thoughts were cut off by the sudden feeling of his finger sliding over her clit. She gasped and almost pulled away from the sensation, only to be stopped by his firm hand on her leg.
"Ah, there you are," He said.
He quickly backtracked his movements, pressing light circles against her. She let out another string of moans as he worked her sensitive area. She looked down at him, watching him. His mouth was parted and she could see the desire written on his face.
"You are music to my ears, dove."
He continued like that for a few moments before dipping his fingers to her entrance, feeling the pool she had left for him. Because of him.
"Oh, you are so deliciously wet for me, love," He smirked again, sliding two fingers into her slowly, relishing in the feeling surrounding them. She threw her head back against the bed. He let out a small groan that mixed with the moan she let out at feeling him inside of her.
He began pumping his fingers slowly, the sweet sound of her drawn out moans and the wet slapping of her pussy hitting his ears. He picked up the pace, shoving his fingers as far as they would go.
"O-Oh, f-fuck!" She arched her back. His fingers were like magic as he worked her.
He stopped suddenly, removing his fingers quickly. She whined at the loss of him, looking back to see him slowly put his fingers into his mouth, sucking her off of them.
"Merlin, you taste phenomenal."
He quickly stood, unbuttoning his pants and pulling out his member, pumping it a few times with gritted teeth.
"On your knees." He commanded.
She quickly got off the bed, kneeling in front of him. He still held himself in his hand. He used his other hand to grip onto her hair.
"Open," He growled.
This was a new side to him that she hadn't seen before, and she wasn't ashamed to say that she liked it. She liked being commanded by him, she liked how he gripped her, how he pleased her. So, she did as she was told. She opened her mouth wide, sticking her tongue out, ready to accept him.
He slowly guided himself into her mouth, a muffled groan escaping his lips. He moved her head by the hair firmly in his fist, stroking himself ever so slowly.
"Your mouth is so fucking good." Ominis was not one for swearing. He hardly ever said anything one would consider crass, and that made this all the more attractive to her.
After he gave her a moment to acquaint herself with his size, he began thrusting his length into her quicker. Soft groans coming from him as he did. He began picking up speed, thrusting harder, shoving his whole length down her throat. She tried to keep her throat relaxed, not choke on him, but she couldn't keep it up. She gagged loudly, which caused him to pull out entirely, a wide smirk on his face.
"Good girl," He said, "Now, get back on the bed. Ass up."
She moved and got back on the bed on her hands and knees, putting her bum in the air. She felt him get on the bed behind her, his hands gripping onto her hips. He slid one of his hands down her bum and felt for her entrance before taking his length and pressing his tip against her.
"Ready, love?"
"Y-Yes," She breathed. She had never imagined that their reunion would turn into this, but she was happy it had.
Without another word, he roughly pushed into her, feeling her walls around him with a drawn out groan.
"Fuck," He muttered, rolling his hips.
She moaned out as he did so, feeling him fill her.
He reached out and gripped her hair again, pulling her to support her top half with her hands. He began bucking into her wildly, moans and groans filling the room as they both felt the pleasure rocketing through their bodies with each connection of hips.
"That's right. Take it, darling, " He groaned, "You take my cock so well."
She could feel him hitting deep within her, right on that magic little spot. Each thrust of his length hitting perfectly. The knot in her stomach was tight, almost painfully so a he continued his pace, her moaning loud and unbridled. He moved his hand from her hair and slipped it around her mouth, leaning forward to press his chest against her back.
"Quite, darling. I want to hear my cock fuck that pretty pussy of yours," He almost purred into her ear.
He continued to buck his hips as he stayed over her like that with his hand over her mouth. Her moans muffled by his firm grip on her face. He grunted into her ear as he listened to the wet sound of skin on skin echo off the walls surrounding them.
"Mmmm," He said something after that. Something that she could only describe as air slithering past his tongue.
Parseltongue.
He let the sweet sounds of it pass his lips as he fucked her. Listening to him speak to her like that was only serving to drive her more mad. She could feel herself getting closer as the friction became almost unbearable.
Her walls began to tighten around him, causing him to let out another groan.
"Let it out, dove. Come for me," He whispered into her ear, sitting up in his knees again and gripping her waist tightly.
The then began pounding into her, pulling her hips to meet his as he groaned and grunted at the feeling of her tight pussy around him.
It didn't take long for her to get to her climax after that as he continued to hit her sweet spot. Her legs shook under her as the knot in her stomach came undone.
"O-Oh, Ominis!" She moaned loudly as she came. Her breath heavy.
He chuckled, continuing to hit her hard as his own climax came over him. He groaned loudly, pushing as far into her as he could, filling her to the brim.
They stayed in that position for a moment, both panting hard as they came down from the high of their escapade. After a moment, Ominis pulled out, falling onto the bed next to her. She quickly followed his lead and laid next to him.
He opened his arms for her to come closer to him and she happily obliged, cuddling herself into his chest as his arms wrapped around her. He kissed her forehead and then rested his chin on top of her head.
"How was that?" He asked.
She giggled, "That was....It was wonderful."
He chuckled and squeezed her tightly to him, "Good."

A Whisker Away
Word Count: 4.4 k
Themes: major fluff, a lot of friendship, sebastian sallow x f!reader x ominis gaunt
Summary: your transfiguration spell had gone wrong - you were stuck as a cat for the day. it wasn't bad, after all you get to spend time with your friends in a new perspective - even you get to confess to the boys that you had been harboring feelings for.
Tumblr media
So bright.
You blinked a few times, adjusting to the blinding sunlight shining through the trees in the courtyard. Everything was brighter and clearer. Your body felt significantly lighter and nimbler. The grounds felt rough and hot. The spell works! You tried to yell, but what came out from your mouth was a loud "Meow!"
"It's not a difficult spell, Y/N." Professor Weasley smiled, her motherly aura was always comforting. She was very patient in teaching you some basic spells that were already taught in the first four years of the Wizarding School. But alas, you only had a couple of years to catch up before your N.E.W.Ts.
A year passed after the Ranrok incident, you've aced your O.W.Ls, and you've made great friends along the way - especially your unbreakable bond with two infamous Slytherin boys. The three of you were inseparable, and the school knows that. However, on that specific day, Professor Weasley asked you to study the Transfiguration spell by yourself. Conveniently, Sebastian and Ominis also had to do their assignments.
You found yourself in the middle of an empty courtyard, wand ready in your grasp. You imagined a black feline cat, similar to a cat that your family had back home in London. With a gentle swish of your wand, a blue light sparked, surrounding you as you quickly shrank down, and soft black fur covered your whole body.
At least it works, you thought, Now I just need to get back to my human form. To your horror, your head blanked - no memory of how to do so. You eyed your wand, raking your brain as to how to actually hold the stick and cast the Untransfiguration spell. You started to panic, especially after hearing a hoard of footsteps approaching the courtyard. You hesitantly bit the wand, strutting to a hidden spot just behind the bushes, and set your wand there. Hopeful that it would stay hidden until you transform back into a human.
Tumblr media
The experience wasn't as bad as you thought, you received a lot of compliments and pats from the students. You finished your class schedule for the day anyways, so no Professors would be worried about your whereabouts.
In the corner of your eyes, you spotted a small girl, hunched by herself. Zenobia Noke! You thought. It was the girl that you helped finding gobstones all over the school. You felt bad, really, even though she was a bit odd, she didn't deserve to be ostracized for a mere game. You made your way to the girl, earning a sincere smile.
"Oh, hi kitty!" she beamed, patting your head. "Want to play with me?"
You meowed in response. It's not like anyone is looking for you at the moment.
"Great!" Zenobia chuckled before going on about the game rules. You were slightly bewildered why this girl would go that far for a cat, but you shrug it off. You knew the rules obviously, being coerced to play by none other than Sebastian a while back. Somehow Zenobia wasn't suspicious that a cat was pretty deft playing the game, even winning once against her, spraying a God-awful stench towards the poor Ravenclaw.
"I've never had this much fun in a while," she giggled, even though she smelled horrendous, "I must say goodbye though, good cat. I need a shower."
As she left you, she shouted, "I'll see you again, Gobby!"
You were amused by the name, Zenobia was an odd girl after all, but she wasn't as bad as you thought. I guess I'm Gobby now. You chuckled to yourself.
Tumblr media
As you were walking past the hallway, your nose picked up an interesting smell - a mix of marshmallows, grass, and burning rubber. Not long after, you heard a loud BANG!, followed by a massive purple smoke coming out from the male's lavatory. A few first-year students ran out of the premises, shouting as their bodies were covered in what seemed like purple dust. You shook your head, surely it was the fault of a certain Gryffindor boy.
You marched into the bathroom, finding Garreth Weasley leaning against the bathroom wall, coughing his lungs out. You dimwit, what did you do this time? You wanted to say it out loud, but all you could do was utter another Meow. "Hello?!" he jumped, "Oh, it's just a cat." He laughed at himself, crouching down to pat your back, which was now littered with purple dust.
"You see, I'm in a predicament here." The redhead looked at what seemed like a destroyed toilet stall - or whatever was left of it. A cauldron filled with a sorry excuse of a potion was placed on top of the toilet, different rare ingredients (not sure where he got them from) scattered all over the floor. "I was testing my greatest invention. But you know what they say, there is no success without failure."
If you were in your human form, you most likely already had your face buried in your palms. You don't even remember the day when Garreth succeeded in his "inventions". As you were looking around for the cleaning supplies, the door bursted open, revealing another redhead - Leander Prewett stomped into the room, face red filled with anger.
His voice was calm in comparison to his visible veins popped on his temples, "I knew it was you again when I saw those poor first-years covered in purple dust!" he crossed his arms, "Do you know how many points had been taken out of Gryffindor because of you?!"
Garreth put his hand up and smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry?" He sighed loudly, "I'll clean it up before anyone else noticed. Really. Plus, this little cat here will help." Garreth winked at you.
You groaned internally, the sheer audacity of this man. "Oh, I didn't see you there." Leander flashed you a smile, also giving you a gentle pat on your head, "Sorry you had to see this, cat, but we need your help in saving Gryffindor's house points." He gave Garreth a vicious side-eye, "Would you help us sneak into Professor Sharp's storage room so I can steal a jar of Blatta Pulvereus?"
You nodded, forgetting that you should've acted like a normal cat: not understanding human gestures. The two Gryffindor students just shrugged, probably too deep into their plan of cleaning the mess before anyone else noticed. Garreth decided to stay and tidy up as best as he could, while Leander took you in his arms, striding towards the Potions class. "The plan is simple. I'll sneak you in through a small opening on the wall, and I shall tell Professor Sharp that my pet cat wandered into the room. He'll give me permission to go in," he grins mischievously, "Unlike Weasley, my records are squeaky clean."
Leander paused for a bit, the silence was a little awkward if you had to be honest. You never had the chance to talk to Leander a lot, your Slytherin friends often made unsavory remarks towards Prewett, and you weren't surprised since there was an unspoken tension between the two houses. "Since you're a cat, I'll be truly honest," his voice was low, almost inaudible, "I appreciate my friendship with Weasley. He's a menace and a serial troublemaker, but he always makes me laugh. He was the first person to say hi to me during our first year - and guess what? They thought I was a Weasley too!" he ended his confession with a laugh.
Leander and you arrived at the potions class in no time. He let you down, pointing towards a small hole leading into the storage room, perfectly fitting your nimble body. You gave him a meow and sneaked into the room. You overheard the brief conversation between Leander and Professor Sharp, the man was definitely too tired that he approved the request right away. In no time, the door clicked, and Leander winked at you. He grabbed the Blatta Pulvereus jar in a jiffy, stuffing it in his pocket, and scooped you up again in his arms. Leander thanked the Professor, who replied with an obviously annoyed grunt.
“Nice job, cat!” Leander grinned widely, “I think you deserve a name - Ginger!” He laughed at his own joke, “You might have black fur, but you can be the third member in our redhead trio.”
You meowed loudly in response, it’s definitely a better name that whatever Zenobia came up with earlier. The two of you practically ran back to the lavatory. “Just the people I wanted to see!” Garreth greeted with a toothy smile, “You took your sweet time… I had to pretend I had a terrible bowel sickness to make sure people stay away from the bathroom.”
Leander was visibly disgusted. “Whatever, here, work your magic.” He handed Garreth the ingredient. The Gryffindor boys quickly spray it all over the purple residue, promptly diminishing any proof of Weasley’s “failed” experiment. The boys high-fived each other, and they both gave you pats, “Welcome to the redhead trio, Ginger,” Leander and Garreth laughed, “You are more than welcome to join our, more legit, adventures next time.”
“Oh, I bet Ginger is hungry!” Garreth pulled out a black-ish jello from his satchel, “I made this super food that makes you not hungry for days- Wait!”
You walked away quickly from the two Gryffindor boys, I will definitely die if I eat that, you thought, shivering.
Tumblr media
Garreth’s remark about food did make you realize you haven’t had anything since breakfast. Your stomach started to rumble, signaling that you need some substance if you have to continue your journey. You were busy thinking about how to find some sort of human food that you didn’t realize you’d bumped into a pair of legs. You looked up, Poppy Sweeting and Natty Onai! You were relieved to see your closest female friends.
“Such an adorable creature!” Natty mused, picking you up and hugging you close. You purred, Natty always gave the best hugs.
“Poor kitty,” Poppy added, patting your head, “I can hear your stomach grumbling! You must be hungry. I have some animal treats in my satchel if you want!”
You meowed loudly in protest, hissing at the Hufflepuff girl. She was taken aback. You felt sorry, but you were sure your good friend would understand if she knew the situation.
“Looks like our little friend wants something heartier and fancier,” Natty smiled,” We are planning to visit Hogsmeade for a little shopping spree. But looks like one of our friend forgot.”
You blinked, Merlin’s balls! You totally forgot that you promised the girls for a little trip to Hogsmeade. You felt bad, truly, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t tell them that you were stuck in the body of a cat. You were sure Natty and Poppy would understand, but-
“I knew Y/N forgets about us!” Imelda barged in, face visibly grumpy. Oh no, Imelda will skin me alive for this.
Poppy held her hands up, “Calm down, Imelda, I’m sure Y/N is just busy with her schoolwork. We’ll ask her why tomorrow.”
“I’m sure she’s busy with Sallow and Gaunt!” Imelda huffed, “It’s hard enough to get us together these days… I just wanted to spend time with my girls.” Now you felt worse. You had a lot of schoolwork, but you did spend more time with Sebastian and Ominis these days. The two boys were pretty much hogging your time. You made a mental note to hang out with your girlfriends more - after all, they were always there to listen to your worries and gave more compassionate advices compared to the boys.
“I agree with Poppy,” Natty smiled, “I’m sure Y/N has her reasons. Let’s go to Honeydukes anyways. Plus, we have a stand-in over here.” The Gryffindor girl held you up to Imelda, who greeted you with a head scratch.
“Fine. Let’s go!”
With you in Natty arms, the three girls grabbed a handful of floo powder and set their destination to Hogsmeade. A green flame enveloped the students as they immediately transported to the middle of the small town. The courtyard was bustling with vendors, students, and shoppers. They hurried off to Honeydukes, with Imelda leading the charge. She rushed to a quaint table next to the window, the group’s favorite spot.
“A pumpkin pasty for me, raspberry cake for Natty, blueberry muffin for Imelda, and a meat pie for our new friend.” Poppy brought their orders to the table, setting the meat pie on the ground for you to eat. You gobbled up the pastry in no time, you knew you can depend on your girls.
Imelda poured tea for the three girls, while she set a cup of milk on the ground. “Well,” she cleared her throat, “There is a specific reason why I asked you all to meet me today.”
The other two girls looked at her intently. You jumped onto Poppy’s lap, I’m not missing this! You thought. To your dismay, Imelda’s face was blushing red. She leaned in as the other girls did the same, “Everett Clompton asked me to be his girlfriend!” Her voice gradually went higher as she finished her sentence.
There was a short pause as everyone processed the information. Your jaw hung low in shock. “Oh dear, I’m sorry- Ouch!” Poppy yelped as Natty pinched her side.
“...And I assume from your giddy reaction, you said yes?” Natty smiled widely.
Imelda slowly nodded, “Yes, I did.” she whispered.
The group erupted in cheer, as they got glares from other customers. The girls laughed. “Congratulations, Imelda, you’re the first one in our group to be in a relationship!” said Natty.
“Ha! And you don’t count whatever Y/N have with Sallow and Gaunt as a relationship?” Imelda laughed, sipping her tea. What do you mean?! You meowed, frustrated that you were the topic of the conversation, even though you can’t say anything to defend yourself. “They are inseparable these days. I tried to ask her for Quidditch tryouts, but Sallow was all up in her space.” Imelda added.
“It’s pretty amusing to see how she is so oblivious,” Natty giggled, “I swear I saw Gaunt’s smile disappeared completely whenever Y/N talks to other boys, except for Sallow, of course.”
You were flabbergasted. Were you that daft? Sure, you harbored special feelings towards your closest friends, but you were too scared to speak up. The friendship that you shared together was like a treasure that you held close to your heart. You would rather bury your romantic feelings deep in your heart to not spoil your friendship.
“Our dear cat is tense,” Poppy hummed while she stroked your back, “Hush now, it will be alright.” You purred and leaned back against her hands. You really wished you could vent your frustrations to them right now.
“So, Poppy, Natty,” Imelda eyed her friends, “Any gossips from your ends?”
The other girls and you looked at each other. Natty took the lead and shook her head, “Not for me,” she laughed, “My mother will skin me alive if she even thinks that I’m in a relationship while I’m still in my studies. Plus, I’m not rushing anything.”
“Cheers to that.” Imelda held out her tea cup, clinking it against the others’ cups.
“I..” Poppy paused, blush crept up her face, “Samantha Dale was being really nice to me.”
Natty and Imelda grinned, and you meowed loudly, “Go on.” Imelda wiggled her eyebrows.
“She’s probably nice to everyone!” Poppy quickly added, voice louder than before, “Plus, she’s so focused on her studies, I don’t think she even thinks about these things…”
“I think she’s just a nerd.” Imelda joked, earning a kick on her shin from Natty, “I’m sorry! I was just joking!” she sighed, “You should go for it, Poppy, if you don’t stay true to your feelings now, you will regret it. I am very sure of that.”
You took Imelda’s words. Their conversation seemed to drawned out by the thoughts in your head. Maybe Imelda was right, you should have stayed true to your own feelings and confess to Sebastian and Ominis. Will they think it’s weird for you to have a crush on two people at the same time? You raked your brains, not realizing that it was time for the group to head back to Hogwarts.
They returned to Hogwarts with another handful of floo powder. The girls bid their goodbyes as they took turn patting your head. “You’re a part of the coolest group in Hogwarts now,” Imelda laughed, “We’ll call you… Chamomile. Just like the delicious tea we had earlier.”
“I still wished Y/N was here.” Natty and Poppy sighed.
“Don’t worry, I’ll give her a good smack when she’s back!” Imelda nodded her head, smiling mischievously.

You laid down on your back at the astronomy tower, looking at the array of stars decorating the night. The tower was the place that you often went if you wanted to find an empty spot to think. It was always cold, but you had never gotten tired of the beautiful night sky. The conversations you had with the girls were echoing in your head. You barely saw Sebastian and Ominis that day. Are they worried that you’re not around? Do they not care about you anymore? The two Slytherin boys plagued your mind. Maybe it was better for you to stay as a cat so you didn’t have to deal with your urge to be more than friends with them.
Suddenly, a pain from your tail shot up throughout your body. You let out a loud shriek, your body instinctively jumped back, fur stood up, and you hissed at the boy who accidentally stepped on your tail.
“Merlin’s beard! I’m so very sorry!” Amit dropped his scrolls, repeatedly apologizing for stepping on you.
Apology accepted, you meowed. You purred against his leg to show him that it was fine, and you understood that it was a mistake. He sighed and crouched down, patting your back.
“I’m sorry, kitty, I’m usually alone here.” Amit gathered his belongings and set down his books and scrolls on the table with a loud Thud!
You looked at him in awe. Amit was a diligent student, but you had never thought that he would stay up late to study. You jumped on the table, sitting down next to him as you scanned the books - all of them related to astrology.
“You don’t mind if I study here, don’t you?” Amit laughed, scratching your chin. You meowed in response, as if you were trying to say it’s alright.
“Well, even if you don’t understand, It’s nice to have a study mate.” He smiled, pointing at a cluster of star in the sky, “That’s Ursa Major, and that one is Draco… wait no, that is a Leo minor! And that one on the far right is Pollux.”
He sighed, “Do you know why I like stars, kitty?” he leaned back against his chair, setting his telescope down, “They are always in groups. Even if in reality they are far apart from each other, from our perspective, they look like they are never alone.”
The Ravenclaw student smiled bitterly, “I missed my family,” he whispered, “It was hard for me to move here alone. My parents and siblings are currently living in India, so it’s so difficult to see them during breaks.”
“I tried to make friends, but they are hard to come by,” He sighed, but his smile came back again, looking at you, “But you are a good company and listener.”
You are my friend, Amit! You screamed out, resulting in a series of loud meows. He chuckled, “You are a smart one, aren’t you?” he tapped his chin, “I’ll call you Taara - it means ‘Star’ in Hindi.”
You meowed gleefuly, it was the prettiest name anyone in the school had given you so far. “I bet not a lot of students will understand that,” Amit chuckled, “It’ll be our little secret!”
Before he could continue, the doors opened. “I think it’s Professor Shah,” Amit said as he picked you up, striding down the tower and put you down in front of the classroom, “Sorry, Taara, Professor Shah isn’t too fond of animals in the Astronomy tower,” he frowned, “I’ll see you again soon!”
Amit waved his hand as he retreated back to the tower.

Gobby, Ginger, Chamomile, and Taara.
Today was beyond eventful. It was almost time for the night curfew, and you were still stuck as a cat. Your limbs were tired from walking around the castle. A big part of you were grateful of this mishap, as you were able to get to know your schoolmates better. Although you spent your day with other students, you haven’t met the two people you were looking for.
“Ah, such a pretty cat.” You were startled at the sudden complement. You jumped back, eyes wide as you stared at a boy clad in shirt and long pants, a green Slytherin tie adorned on his chest. His auburn hair kept tousled. A huge smile formed on his freckled face. Sebastian! It’s me! You yelled on top of your lungs, still resulting in meows.
“A loud one, for sure.” A chuckle left another boy behind Sebastian. His eyes were light grey, as they were reflecting a cloudy storm. His hair was still neatly combed. The tip of his wand glowed, casting a beautiful red light against your black fur.
Sebastian gently picked you up, holding you close in his arms. You hoped that he couldn’t hear how fast your heart was thumping. Surely, they don’t know about your situation, right? You inhaled his scent - cinnamon, musk, and a tinge of burning wood. You shamelessly curled up to him, purring as you did so. You felt Sebastian’s chuckled, “Looks like this cat is tired.” He gently stroked your back.
“Let’s bring it back to the common room,” Ominous replied, closing in to Sebastian as he slowly moved his hand, tracing your soft fur, “We have cozy fireplace and warm milk for our little friend.”
You heard the sound of fire crackling and warmth against your skin. You contorted your body as you found a comfortable position the pillow. As you blinked your eyes open, you were laying down on a pillow on top of Ominis’ lap. The two Slytherin boys were sitting on the sofa next to the fireplace. Sebastian was lounging with a book on his hand. Suddenly you were washed with sadness. You never felt safer than this moment, just with Sebastian and Ominis, the two boys that you cared for the most. You closed your eyes again, too cozy to wake up.
“You know, I haven’t seen Y/N today,” Sebastian muttered, eyes still glued to the book. Your ears perked up as they started to mention your name.
Ominis sighed, “I know, I’ve been worried sick. I hope nothing happened to her.” You found it hard to rest as your heart was beating faster. They were worried about me! you thought.
“I think she will be fine,” Sebastian hummed, “Y/N is smart, and strong to boot. I know she’ll be alright no matter what opponents or tasks she’s facing.”
“I agree. That’s why I find her so… beautiful.” Ominis added. With that sentence, you jolted up. Your heart and mind were in a jumble.
Ominis’ fingers caressed your head, “Sebastian, the cat is awake.”
Sebastian sighed in content as he closed his book, tossing it to the side. He walked closer to you, scratching your chin, “Did you have a good rest?”
You instinctively purred. Sebastian and Ominis chuckled at your reaction, “So adorable.” said the auburn haired boy.
“You know, Sebastian,” Ominis added, still stroking your back, “Since this cat wil probably stay with us for a while, should we name her?”
Sebastian nodded, smirking, “I have a name in mind…” He crouched down to meet your gaze, “How does Y/N sound?”
You stood up, meowing loudly. They knew?! Your emotions were mixed up; panic, embarrassment, and a bit of anger for not helping you earlier.
“Hold on now,” Sebastian laughed, “I’ll help you.” He took out his wand and gently tapped your head. The same blue light reappeared around you as you turned back into human in a split second. You examined your fur-less fingers and grabbed onto your uniform, “I’m back!!” you shouted, pumpking your fist as if you’ve won a match. Realization sinked in as you heard the boys snickered. Your face immediately went tomato red as you felt Ominis squirmed underneath you. You scrambled away from his lap, curling in the corner of the sofa and hiding your face behind a pillow.
“...Just let me disappear.” Your voice was muffled behind the pillow.
Ominis was the one who stopped laughing first, “I’m so sorry, Y/N, I genuinely thought it was too adorable to see you as a feline.”
Sebastian rubbed the tears from his eyes, “Oh, I agree, as much as I felt bad, I was enjoying it.”
You tossed the pillow at Sebastian, “you could’ve helped me earlier!”
Sebastian caught the pillow, setting it aside, “I’m sorry! Truly. But I did get you back, didn’t I?” he winked.
“How did you both know it was me?” You asked, still hitting Sebastian and Ominis with whatever pillow you could find.
“Y/N…” Ominis impressively dodged the hits, “We’ve spent everyday together, how could I not feel your aura even if you’re not human?”
“Oh, and here you go.” Sebastian handed your wand back, “Did the professor not tell you to keep it safe?”
You huffed as you calmed down, “Thank you. I mean it. I was scared I was going to cough up hairballs at some point.” You twiddled your thumb, blush spreading your cheeks, “Were you both… Looking for me?”
Ominis let out another laugh, “We were panicking around the castle,” he coughed, “Well, Sebastian panicked around the castle. He almost asked the Headmaster for a search party if I didn’t hold on to his collars. On the other hand, I am searching for you calm and collected.”
“Lies. He almost cried.”
Ominis’ face turned sour as you laughed at their antics. You held out your arms and hugged the two close, “Thank you, again, you both are always there for me.”
“It’s because we love you, Y/N.” Sebastian sighed in content as he stroked your hair.
Ominis placed his hand on your back gently, “You are the most important person in our lives.” A gentle smile plastered on his face.
You looked up at them. Their confessions were stern and confident, but your heart leapt as you saw how red their faces are - sincerity evident in their expressions. You hugged them even tighter, “I love you both so much.”

Summary:
Ominis attends his late father's wake, finding his family abhorrent—as usual. He escapes in his animagus form, before running into poachers. Gravely wounded, he finds himself in the cottage of an old friend, and their familiarly gentle hands.
The morning was still, the chirping of various birds creating a sweet symphony beyond their window. The sky was daffodil-yellow and power-blue, the last vestiges of sunrise folding themselves behind the horizon. Beyond their kitchen window, a blue jay cried its song from their tree.
It was a quiet life. ‘The new fifth year,’ as they had been addressed for so long, managed to carve out a peaceful, safe home for themselves post-graduation. Death had found them at every corner when they were only fifteen, with that realization of its imminence, the want for simplicity became their only desire. They had been a hero, now they wanted to rest.
Of course, they could not avoid trouble forever. Sebastian had his way of bringing it to them, but never to the capacity which he did in his fifth year. He had been spared Azkaban, so he repented, spending tireless days in St. Mungos, soothing those struck by the same curses he used to wield. As in everything, he excelled as a healer and devoted his life to furthering research in that field. This did not stop him from causing trouble from time to time, reading things he shouldn’t, but he had learned to stop himself. He had grown.
At their table, they cradled the tea that was steaming away in their mug. The curls of water vapour caressed their matured face.
Ominis would be seeing his father off today. It was the wake, as he had explained in his owls, and despite loathing to see his family, he would attend to pay whatever respects he could muster within him. They fretted about him, alone in the nest of snakes.
However, the morning was still, the blue jay sang its stilted song. Everything would be okay.
Until it wasn’t.
Their front door smashed open, splinters careening across the floor as a pale shape hurtled through it. The animal dashed across the entirety of their cottage, slamming against the back wall in distress, before sliding across the floor into the kitchen, where its energy left it.
They immediately recognised the beast. Alabaster white fur, thick strong paws; an albino puma with milky, unseeing eyes.
“Ominis,” they gasped.
The puma hissed at them, baring its gleaming fangs. They then took in Ominis properly, across his white body, several gashes had torn into his fur, along his legs, face, and back. They stained his pristine coat a sickly red.
“Ominis, it's me—you’re okay,” they cooed. Ominis was still backed into their kitchen hissing and rearing as though he might strike.
They pressed forward, hands out in a soothing gesture, urging him to return to his senses. Slowly, Ominis became less hostile, clearly weak from the blood loss. His head thumped to the ground. They crouched, gently placing their fingers against his soft fur, soothing him with tentative strokes.
Ominis’ eyes closed, and a great breath left him. Gradually, his form shifted. The fur melted away to reveal pale skin. His great paws shrunk back into delicate fingers. Then, he was a man once more.
Ominis was unconscious and naked on their floor. The blue jay had gone quiet.
...
Ominis returned to consciousness in stages. He first felt gentle hands and soft brushes on his skin. Then, his nose deciphered the metallic tint of blood in the air. Next, he heard a velvety voice, chanting soothing mantras. He opened his eyes and—familiarly—saw nothing.
“You’re awake,” they said.
Ominis had slept for the remainder of the day. Now, dusk fell upon them and the steady crackle of the hearth could be heard.
Ominis tried to sit up, but his spine protested, as did the gashes along his body.
“Relax, you’re safe,” they breathed, “we’re in my cottage.”
Ominis returned to the pillows, exhaling. He brought a hand to his hair and tried to pull it through the knots. He didn’t want to burden them, he hadn’t even meant to come here, he was just hurt and scared.
“Did Marvolo—?”
“No, no, he didn’t,” Ominis finally spoke. “My family are a vile bunch but they are mostly bark and no bite. These were poachers.”
Ominis heard them sigh, but could discern nothing beyond that.
“My wand—”
“Yes, I have it here,” they found Ominis’ fingers and placed his wand in them. The room immediately became clear, the contours and shapes, the body of his friend beside him. “You were conscious enough to transfigure with your wand but must have forgotten your clothes,” they commented.
“Oh Merlin.” Ominis considered curling up and dying right there. “I’m sorry.”
They chuckled. “Your modesty is quite safe with me, Ominis,” he could sense their smile, “I put a blanket over you, I didn’t see anything.”
Ominis sat up properly then, his back protesting with the effort—there was sure to be an ugly bruise there. It was clear now that they had moved him to the sofa, where he was wrapped in said blanket.
Something cold pressed into his hand.
“Drink,” they said.
So he did.
“How was it?”
Ominis knew they weren’t asking about the water. The wake. A room filled with all the Gaunts—or what was left of them—and other families like leeches, offering empty condolences.
“My father was a horrible man,” he said.
There was a heavy silence.
“Yes, I know,” they replied.
“He was a horrible man,” Ominis said again, hoping it would turn his father in his grave, “he was.”
A warm hand came to his bare shoulder, rubbed circles into it. “I know.”
Ominis was crying, he realized absently. Hot tears slid from his eyes and down his sharp jaw. They ran over the cuts in his face and reignited the wound.
“But I couldn’t bear it,” he gasped, “I couldn’t be in that room with my brothers and sister—hear them talk about him like he was good. It was all lies and we knew it.”
A sob left him.
“We were re-writing him. Making up a story. I wanted to scream at them, shake them and tell them the truth. He was an abusive, disgusting man. He hated me. He wished I wasn’t born and yet—” the words fought against his throat, “and yet it didn’t make it any easier.”
Their friend pulled him into a hug, letting his head rest against their shoulder, letting him cry into it.
“You get one consolation. That one day he will be gone and you will be done with it. I should be relieved,” Ominis gritted.
“He was still your father,” they said.
Despite it all, he was. He raised Ominis, regardless of what that looked like. He raised his brothers, his sister. He brought them into the world, was all that remained after his mother passed. Ominis owed everything he had to him, the ugly, the good. Now he was dead. And it still hurt.
Ominis clutched them back, buried his head into the crook of their neck. He let himself cry as he hadn’t in so long, until it was all drained out of him. All the while, they rubbed soothing patterns into his bare skin, around the cuts that still stung.
Eventually, he wore himself out. His face was red and puffy, no doubt completely undignified, and he felt weak and tired. They pulled away from him, wiping his wet face with a handkerchief.
“I’m sorry,” he repeated.
“You have nothing to apologize for,” they asserted, “but I need to treat your wounds Ominis.”
Ominis had almost forgotten. His gashes just seemed to reflect his stinging, beating heart, as though they were one of the same.
His friend raised their wand.
“They’re cursed—”
“I know, I already tried every healing spell Sebastian taught me before I realized. We’ll have to do this the muggle way.”
Their wand simply summoned over a first aid kit from the shelf, and Ominis stiffened slightly.
“This will hurt, won’t it.”
“A little, but it’s better than an infection.”
They retrieved a small phenol solution from the kit, with a spray cap—to disinfect. Some bandages were also brought out.
They began their work on his back, crouched on the floor while Ominis gritted his teeth each time they sprayed a cut with disinfectant. Gentle fingers wound bandaged around his midsection, their fingertips stroking lines around his body. The process was painful and slow, but entirely tender. No wound was left unattended, each treated with merciful care.
“Now, your face,” they said.
Ominis heard them rise, dragging a chair to face opposite him. Cool fingertips graced his hot skin.
As the minutes passed, his usually restrained affection for his friend only swelled. A sticky, saccharine feeling in his chest. Like his heart had grown twice its size and was trying to escape out of the gaps in his ribcage.
He had scarcely known such benevolence. The Gaunt household had no space for it, amongst the cruelty and mania they fostered. Only once he had left, wandered the labyrinthine halls of Hogwarts, had his child body been held. Sebastian was the first, but Sebastian was fire and molten heat, warm to the touch but known to burn just as quickly.
The ‘new fifth year’ as he had so ungraciously titled them, was entirely different. They were sunshine on a spring day, the soft breeze that would steal the sweat from your skin before warming it again in the next breath. They were coral pools and clear water, stick your hand in and see the light dance on your skin. When they touched him he didn’t burn. Nor freeze like the touch of his family. He was just the same, he was Ominis, being held. That was all they ever wanted him to be.
Now, dabbing antiseptic into the cuts on his face, he felt more himself than ever. The version of him entirely unencumbered by fear, by sight, by magic.
Their warm breath kissed his cheek and their fingers held his jaw in place.
He cupped their face, running his own fingers across the planes of their cheeks, mapping the expression, committing the texture to memory.
“Ominis—”
He kissed them.
Undemanding, chaste, not a capturing of lips so much as holding them. Pressing into them like a question, will you be yourself with me? You have only ever made me feel worthy.
He pulled away slowly, face inches from theirs.
They dived back in. Yes, yes I will. They were unafraid to capture his mouth, answer earnestly. Move their lips against his. Soft, always so tender. But hungry, parched, the savouring of a good meal.
Ominis met their fervour, letting his tongue slide along their bottom lip, feeling it open greedily for him. Their hand was placed on his waist, above the wound they had lovingly tended. Ominis wrapped his into their hair, feeling their scalp, pulling them closer—please, closer.
Minutes burned, time inconsequential as they found each other in the wet heat of their tongues. They pulled away from Ominis, and latched their mouth to his neck, tasting salt on the skin. Ominis tilted his head, allowing them to create more bruises on his skin. Bruises he wanted to never heal.
Then they stopped.
“You’re injured Omi,” they breathed.
Ominis’ brows pinched.
“We must stop,” they said, “you need to rest.”
“I don’t want to rest,” Ominis protested.
“I don’t want you to either, but you must—to heal.”
Ominis heard the squeak of the floorboards, then the opening of a door. They left the room.
He began to panic. Was it too much? He had concealed his affection for them for so long that perhaps—perhaps they did not want it. Perhaps he was wrong.
They re-entered the room.
“I didn’t do this on a whim, you know,” he pleaded.
“I know.”
“Then why—"
“Today was your father’s wake. Not only that, you were gravely hurt. I know this wasn't an impulse, but regardless, you need to heal, you need to process today.”
“This wasn’t because of my father.”
A beat.
“I know,” they stated, “prove it to me. Stay the night tonight. In a week’s time, come back, and share dinner with me. Then we can try again.”
Soft clothes were pressed into his hands.
“I’ll wait for you," they whispered, "in the bedroom.”
Then they left.
Ominis sighed in relief. He ran his fingers over the nightclothes given to him, the silky fabric.
When he entered their bedroom, slipped into the sheets, and entangled their limbs. Wrapped his arm around their middle. He felt grateful to be Ominis Gaunt and no one else. Ominis Gaunt was the boy who met them, who fell in love, who has now tasted their sweet lips. He is not perfect, that he will never deny, but cocooned next to them, there is no scar he could bear that would not be lovingly tended to and kissed. There is no ugliness that would not be embraced.
He slept deeply and comfortably with this knowledge. Come daybreak, a blue jay sang its screeching song, not beautiful, not sonorous like its neighbours, but to the two inhabitants of that cottage, there was no better sound.

Ominis had begun formerly courting her in the middle of the fall of their 6th year.  It became commonplace to see the 'new student' and him strolling along the Black Lake.  They would find a secluded area, set a blanket, and lay comfortably with their favorite books.  Ominis liked it especially when she read out loud to him, despite being perfectly capable himself.  He claimed, "the words just sound better coming from you."  She wasn't sure if that was entirely true, nevertheless, she indulged him in the late night reading.
They didn't talk about what life would be like after graduation.  It was one of touchy subjects in which neither party wanted to think too hard about their futures.  In which Ominis would no longer be shielded from the chains of his family name and in which she had to rise up and take her solemn duties as a Keeper of Ancient Magic.
Unfortunately, the passage of time did not stop for them. It wasn't long until Ominis got that ominous envelope from his mother that sealed their fault.
He had sent an urgent owl to her, asking to meet at their usual spot next to the Black Lake.  When she had arrived, Ominis was faithfully standing next to their favorite tree by the lake, just as he had for every day.  His back was turned, facing towards a lake that he could not see. Although she could not see his face, she could tell from the heavy weight on his shoulders, that he did not bear good news.
"Ominis, you wanted to talk to me?"  She asked, approaching him quietly.  She gently brushed her fingers on his right shoulder, as a guide for him to see where she stood next to him.
She finally got a glimpse of his ashy expression. Her heart stopped.  Though it was spring, the lake brought an cold front, freezing the pair that was standing next to it.
"I just received a letter from my mother." Ominis said quietly.  His hand was clenched on his wand, its red tip seemingly duller than usual.  "She told me what my family has in store for me after I graduate Hogwarts."
"What did she say?"
Ominis turned his shoulder away from her, as if unable to face his lover.  "Mum and dad found me a betrothed."  His expression was angry.  "Someone who've I've never met that I am to marry by the end of the summer."
The air left her lungs, only to be replaced by the icy wind surrounding them.  They did not keep their relationship secret from Ominis's family, though they did not openly advertise either.  Still, it was not unknown to them that the girl Ominis had been seeing was a Muggleborn. Despite her ability to control a magic that few purebloods could even fathom, Ominis's lover was still of inferior origin.
"Is your betrothed Pureblood?"  The Keeper of ancient magic couldn't help but ask.
Ominis's brows crinkled in pain.  "Yes."
The two were silent for a bit, standing in the cold.  She couldn't stop herself from wringing her hands, afraid of the question she wanted to ask.
"Ominis, do you plan on going through with the marriage?"
The sharp-tongued man was utterly silent. His lack of words spoke volumes.
Something fiery in her clenched heart exploded.  "So, that's it?  Just like that, you acquiesce to their demands?  You, who had no love lost on your family, finally bend the knee to their wishes?"  She scoffed at Ominis's stony expression, willing him to say anything, to do anything, to deny these allegations she was making.
Before Ominis could speak, she felt herself being pulled back as if there was a hook in the middle of her gut dragging her elsewhere.
With a gasp, the Keeper of ancient magic returned from the memory in the pensieve.  She was now back in her research chambers, transported back to her reality from her days as a Hogwarts student.  She took a shaky breath, trying to even her respiratory rate.  It was far too painful to continue with the rest of the ten year old memory, too agonizing to hear Ominis's sad reply.  Wiping her nose, she looked at her reflection in the pensieve.  The makeup around her eyes were smudged with her tears.  She couldn't help but marvel.  It has been ten years since their 7th year.  Ten years since she last saw Ominis in person.  Ten years since they had lost what was once theirs.
Feeling tired as she often did, she turned her back to the pensieve, sliding down its column to sit on the hard stone floors. She rested her head against the cool pillar, lost as to what to do.
Poppy and Natty had arranged a ten year reunion of their closest classmates at the Three Broomsticks tonight.  It would be fun to catch up with old friends.
It would also be devastating to see what Ominis looked like now, no doubt with his wife hanging off his arms.  Merlin she hasn't seen him in ten years.  She couldn't even stomach going to their wedding (not that the Gaunts even wanted to invite her).
Thunking her head against the pensieve, she wondered if it was worth it to go to the reunion.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Ominis worried at the cufflinks to his dressrobes for the millionth time that night.  He had arrived early to the Three Broomsticks to help to set up.  He only found however that he was quite useless with decorations and that sort of things, and Natty and Poppy gently (but very firmly) sequestered him away from the various party assigned tasks.  So he sat in the corner nursing a butterbeer, alone with his thoughts.
He wondered how his old flame was doing, having not seen her in all this time.  Their departure was a painful one.  Ominis never went without a day regretting how they separated.  He spent many hours thinking of how different it could have been, had he made other choices that day.
In their time apart, he had wrote to her frequently, as he did when they were still in school.  He filled the letters with familiar poems, just like the ones they used to share together.  He would pour all of his regret, his sorrow, and his love for her into those stanzas.
She would sometimes, on the rare occasion, write back.  Her letters provided him a terse update on her health and a polite inquiry as to the well-being of himself and his family.  If Ominis was lucky, she would tell him what recent adventures she was on, though they were never more informative than those written in the Daily Prophet.
He wondered what she looked like now.
Funny enough, it was Amit who kept in touch with her the most.  Amit, the clever, hard-working Ravenclaw, had quickly ascended the ranks of the Ministry and was now the new Ministry-appointed ambassador between Goblin and wizardkind.  Amit and the hero of Hogwarts often worked closely together, solving wars before they could even start with well-placed diplomacy.
Amit had also arrived early, punctual as he had been in their youth.  Spotting Ominis by his lonesome, he eagerly approached the other man, sitting down on the unoccupied stool next to him.
Perhaps if Amit were someone who cared more about romance and settling down, Ominis would feel a tinge more jealous about the time they spent together.  Instead, it gave Ominis ample opportunity to ask, "What does she look like now? Has she changed?"
As obtuse as Amit could be sometimes, the Ravenclaw instantly knew who Ominis was talking about without having to ask. "Um, I guess she's taller, maybe? And doesn't wear school robes?" He shrugged.  "She wears these really fancy real-proper robes now."
Ominis sighed.  Well, it was a poor choice to ask Amit of all people to describe the beauty in people instead of dusty tomes.
Poppy grinned having overheard the conversation. She was always the other Hufflepuff's closest confidant while they were in school together.  Poppy was the one always pushing the shy Hufflepuff to be more bold and daring when it came to matters of the heart.  Patting her hands dry, she approached the two former students, eager to join in some light-hearted gossip.  "Well, Ominis, if you're asking about our savior of Hogwarts, she's doing quite well.  She grew her hair out.  It's super smooth and long now, though she has these beautiful braids that she puts it in when she goes out for any business.  Whenever, she visits my creature sancturary, she's always dressed in colorful robes like royalty, like a noble from some old Pureblood family." Her voice took a rather teasing tone. "She's very pretty if that's what you're asking."
Ominis flushed, "Um, thank you, Poppy."
Poppy giggled.  Before she returned back to her tasks around the tavern, she threw a wink behind her shoulder.  "Good luck tonight, Ominis."
Ominis flush deepened.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
It was well into the night, after the rest of the crew had long arrived and gotten themselves well acquainted with the bar, that she made her entrance.  Ominis knew the second that she arrived when he heard the boisterous applause and cheering flood the small tavern.  Pausing his conversation with Everett, he turned, hoping that she would approach him.
It was in these moments, where Ominis was frustratingly reminded of his lack of sight.  He wished he was able to see what she looked like now.  If Poppy's words were able to hold a candle to the true beauty that she must be.  He wondered if her voice was unchanged, enchantingly mesmerizing.  He remembered falling asleep to the sound of her melodic words as she read from their favorite books.
His wand, almost like his a sentient companion, was able to map her movements as she made her way around the tavern.  It took no effort for it to follow her footsteps as she introduced herself politely to all the party members.  It wasn't long until she arrived right in front of him, coming to a standstill.
Even amongst the crowd at the Three Broomsticks Ominis could pinpoint her unique scent.  Honeywater, lavender, with a hint of ivy.
"Hello, Ominis."  She shyly greeted.
"Hello.  It is a pleasure to be with you again, after all of this time."
Her eyes roamed greedily over his appearance. He had grown so much since their last meeting, now a good head taller than her.  His cheekbones were sharper now, giving him an air of an aloof aristocrat. His blue eyes somehow never lost their dull, instead they were more piercing.  He was wearing black dress robes, freshly pressed, and accenting the long angles of his torso.  He had on black gloves that hid his long skillful fingers.  To her shock, there was no waifish, beautiful woman at his side. Ominis's wife was probably getting herself a drink.  Or she hadn't even bothered to show up for this whole silly affair.
"So," the former Hufflepuff started awkwardly. She wasn't sure how to make small talk with the boy she once shared her deepest fears and secrets with. "What are you up to now?"
Ominis chuckled.  "Well, finally decided to listen to you and Sebastian for once and use my words for something other than yelling at the two of you.  I'm with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as a lawyer.  I prosecute dangerous dark wizards and witches who commit crimes of hate towards Muggles."
She blinked, not expecting that answer. "Ominis doesn't that mean…people like your family…"
Ominis nose crinkled.  "Yes, I prosecute Pureblood extremists like my siblings and the rest of the godforsaken lot." He shook his head.  "It hasn't been an easy journey."
She couldn't help but smile.  "Well, if you were anything like how we first met, I’m sure you give those dark wizards a run for their money.  Merlin, I still remember almost being brought to tears when you first shouted at me, I can't imagine you in the courtroom!"
Ominis flushed.  He apologized for his lack of manners back then, and he'd continue to apologize for them now.  "We did have a bit of a rocky start didn't we?  Still, as awkward as it was, I am glad you came to Hogwarts, and came into my life."  He frowned, "Though you haven't been in my life much recently."
She felt off balance.  She cradled her drink in her hands.  "Ominis, please do not be mistaken.  I cherish every single letter you have wrote to me.  Especially the beautiful poems.  But…" she started nervously, something like jealousy building in her gut.  "what would your wife think?  I hope she is okay with you writing such provocative words to an unwed, single woman."
Ominis' browns wrinkled.  "Wife?  I'm not married."
She blinked rapidly.  Ominis, unmarried?  The room was spinning, and the floor rocked beneath her.  Her heart was pounding.  "But…after graduation…your parents…the whole betrothal."
Ominis scowled.  "Oh, they tried to marry me off.  Tried to make sure I produced little Gaunts as quickly as possible."
She choked on her butterbeer.
"But as soon as I came back home after graduation, I could see how my family were trying to sink their claws into me, trying to get me to do their bidding.  I couldn't stand for it.  I left immediately."  Ominis snorted, crossing his arms.  "My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner."
Her hands covered her mouth in shock.  Had all this been just a silly misunderstanding? "So, you and your family are no longer speaking?"
He snorted.  "Hard to be on speaking terms when you've been estranged and put away your cousin in Azkaban."  He touched his chin in deep thought.  "Not sure if I can even call myself a Gaunt anymore. Probably not even allowed to use the family name.  I most likely would take my wife's last name, if she would allow it."
Again, she coughed into her drink.  The butterbeer kept going down the wrong pipe. Trying to recover with as much grace as possible, she asked quite forwardly, "So, you aren't with a wife currently, are you seeing anyone now?"
He had a small smile on his face. "Now, not now.  Though, I do hope that changes for me in the near future."  Her face burned at his words.  Ominis did not relent.  "I must confess, I had asked the others to describe how beautiful you were to me. I seem to recall you being the most beautiful girl in all of Hogwarts.  I'm sure you look even more lovely now."
"Ominis!"  She gasped, scandalized at his forwardness.  "You're not too bad yourself."  She admitted.
He laughed.  "Nothing, compared to what you must look like I'm sure."
She felt bold.  "Would you like to see?"
Ominis frowned.  Although his guiding wand was helpful in assisting him to see the rough hazy outlines of people, it was by no means perfect.  "Sorry, I'm not sure I entirely know what you mean."
She set aside her glass on a nearby table. Nervously fixing her hair, she approached him.  She was much closer than she should be for someone having a mere cordial conversation with an old friend.  She anxiously bit her bottom lip, "Do you trust me?"
"With my life." Ominis replied without a wasted second.
She stepped closer, small hands slowly moving into his larger ones.  Delicate fingers started taking off his skin-tight leather gloves.  He jumped at her unexpected behavior.  The sudden skin contact between their joined hands felt like electricity between.
"What, what are you doing?"  Ominis blushed, incredibly flustered.  While he didn't share the old-fashioned ideals of the Gaunts, some traces of social etiquette still lingered.  Merlin, doing…whatever it was she was doing… between two unsupervised, unwed young people?  In public?
She giggled, her lingering touch felt like scorching hot fire on his hands.  "Muggles don't have wands to help them around.  This is how blind muggles see: with their hands."
In Ominis's opinion, muggles were entirely too improper.
She continued taking off his gloves with no future protests.  His hands had not changed much since their childhood.  They were still cold and pale with long piano-player fingers.  Though all she wanted to do was lace their hands together and press kisses to his palms, she refrained.  Slowly, she guided his hands to her face.  Her eyes flickered upwards, looking at Ominis face to gauge his reaction.  With her hands on top of his, she gently pressed the pads of his fingers along the curve of her jaw, giving him permission to explore.
Ominis felt faint, unsure if what was happening was a dream.  Enraptured by this new form of sight, his fingers followed the soft curve of her jaw up to smooth transition to her cheeks.  He felt her flutter her eyelashes at the sensation and marveled at how long they were.  There was much he could do to learn from muggle kind.  The formalities fell away and social graces were entirely forgotten. He traced the contours of her face, eager to see what she looked like.
"None of my poems ever come close to describing you," He concluded.  "Merlin, you transfix me."
With his hands still on her cheeks, he could feel her sharp intake of air.  One of her trembling hands reached up to meet his.  She held his hands in place on her cheek, begging for him not to stay. "Ominis, I've missed you."
His thumb brushed her cheek in a soothing manner. He was unwilling to drop his hands away from her, less he let her go.  "I've missed this.  There isn't a day that goes by when I'm not thinking of you reading me your favorite books next to the Black Lake."
She slowly steered Ominis's hands to the one last place he still had not dared to touch.  He could feel the edge of his thumb meet the soft creases of her lips. "Ominis, what if we were to go back?  Go back to how it used to be, when we used to spend our days walking around the lake."
Ominis pulled himself closer to her face, his thumbs brushing the cupid's bow of her parted lips.  Before his eyes fluttered shut and before his lips met hers, he whispered softly,  "I would very much like that."

Chapter 4: A Knowing Look
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sebastian x F!Reader Summary: In which Sebastian is whipped and literally everyone can see from a mile away that this is more than friendship.
“Is that… a mistletoe?” “It… must be Anne’s doing.” Was all Sebastian could say, rather lamely. He was ready to laugh it off. Tell her that it was just a silly little old thing. But to his surprise, she replied almost matter-of-factly: “… Supposedly if we don’t kiss, we’d be doomed to 100 years of misfortune.” Almost cautiously, he replied, “We wouldn’t want that.” “Not at all,” She said as she nodded.

Chapter 3: Anne
Winter fell upon Feldcroft. Snow descended upon the Sallows’ home in soft billowy mounds.
Sebastian had never really understood the appeal of Christmas. It was always too cold, too dark and too stifling to just stay at home. Under Solomon’s roof, he never let himself feel too comfortable. Not even the guise of mulled cider, plum pudding and ornately decorated pine trees could make him put his guard down. He much preferred the freedom of Hogwarts endless hallways. If not for Anne - well, he frankly wouldn’t have bothered to make the trip over. There was little joy to reap or use to gain from seeing Solomon’s irritable face.
But despite Solomon’s numerous shortcomings, he allowed him to invite both of his best friends over for Christmas. And for that, he was grateful.
Glancing over to the kitchen, he couldn’t help but soften and break into a smile at the sight. Under the glow of the dim candlelight, Ominis and Anne were chatting merrily.
Ominis normally looked so stoic, like an old man that held the entire weight of the wizarding world in the crease of his brow. That was the blight of the Gaunt family name. But as he sat listening to Anne, who was animatedly retelling one of her classic tales of misadventure, his expression was as light as a feather. Even with his perfectly pressed shirt and impeccably neat cardigan, it was such a relief to see that he could look like an ordinary teenage boy.
And Anne… Well, Anne had her good days and bad days. Thankfully, today was one of her better ones. She’d been particularly energetic as of late. Despite Sebastian’s protests, she went out of her way to decorate the cottage with wreaths, tinsel and candles galore. Insisting that guests should not be subjected to Christmas in a house so bare.
He hadn’t seen either of them look so content in a while. Not since they were just three kids scheming mischief in the Undercroft. Not since they’ve become three weary people weathered by fate’s hand.
The normalcy of it all gave him newfound hope. One that felt different from the kind of hope had him hunting ancient relics, ravaging the restricted section, and burning dark wizards ever since Anne got hurt.
This one was softer. Much quieter and warmer.
Just for today, he would graciously allow himself not to worry. Not of curses or cures or hidden scriptoriums. Just Christmas. Just family and friends.
Anne’s voice broke him out of reverie, “Sebastian! What are you daydreaming about? Come here!” She beckoned him over with a wave of her hand.
“Probably best not to know,” Ominis said, “likely something despicable or unlawful.”
“Funny.” Sebastian said dryly, as he made his way over to them, “Utterly hilarious.”
“I am rather, aren’t I?” Ominis replied cheekily.
“If slander is your particular brand of humour.”
“Forget presents,” Ominis’ voice was laced with sarcasm, “Your endless wit is the greatest gift you could ever afford me.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes. The mouth on this one.
Sebastian looked around the room and noticed that there was one person sorely missing. Their absurdly lovely (it’s all still very complicated) friend. After the whole Andrew Larson ordeal, he conceded that it was possible that this whole friendship thing… could potentially be more than a friendship thing.
It was a crush - a flight of fancy. On someone who just happened to be a beautiful, smart and wickedly talented friend.
That was the only way that Sebastian could rationalise it. Crushes were perfectly normal and frivolously fleeting. Calling her a softness, or a fancy or even the object of his affection was all still manageable. It was better than the alternative. Because if he were to start calling it anything more than that…
Well, that could be perilous.
Love had consequences, and Sebastian wasn’t sure if he was ready to face them.
The girl wonder had also been staying with them in Feldcroft these past two days. Sebastian had only been back at Feldcroft for two days and Anne had already been making terribly sly remarks his way. How could she have known? Had she and Ominis been exchanging letters behind his back?
He supposed that practically half of Hogwarts had already accused him of being infatuated with the girl wonder. But in fairness, the prying eyes of the student body had been privy of his relationship with her for the better half of two years. It made him wonder if he was being so obvious that perhaps even Solomon could sense it too.
That would be mortifying.
And honestly, after the emotional whirlwind he’d already been on — Sebastian didn’t know how it could get any worse.
He cleared his throat, “Anyways, where’s the girl wonder gone to now?”
Anne shot him a mischievous look that Sebastian knew meant trouble. It was too devilish and deliberate to ignore, and it felt like Anne could see right through him. What was she plotting? Sebastian raised a curious eyebrow in response.
Anne replied with a shrug, “She’s just gone to the room to grab something.”
And as if it had been planned meticulously ahead of time — the door creaked open and the sound of her footsteps approached.
He turned around and almost made an ungodly sound at the sight. A wrangled, pained sound that he was frankly quite embarrassed to acknowledge. Because this — whatever this was — was something he hadn’t been expecting.
“Is that my sweater?” Sebastian swallowed thickly.
The girl walked out of the bed chambers in an old green knit sweater with a small embroidered flower on the left corner that looked all too familiar. There was nothing spectacular about it, but Sebastian knew without a sliver of doubt that it was his sweater that hung a little too loosely on her shoulders. Because as most nine year old boys did with their clothes, he had bought it dismissively when he was in Diagon Alley, and wore it to death in his youth. It had been chucked carelessly across fields, caves, bodies of water all across Feldcroft. It was tattered, frayed and looked worse for wear from his haphazard use.
So how in Salazar’s name did it manage to look so damn good on her?
There was nothing precious about it.
But it was his. And she was wearing it.
Sebastian was of two minds about it all. He couldn’t quite decide it himself — was this a gift or divine punishment from the Gods? Where had she even found the old blasted thing and was she actively trying to kill him? The niggling urge to touch her was stronger than he had ever felt before. His self-restraint was melting with every second longer his eyes lingered on her. The only thing that was holding him back from holding on to her (and never letting go) was the ridicule he’d most definitely receive from Ominis and Anne.
To his dismay, to the deep sickly pit in the bottom of his stomach — this was very likely something that would be permanently etched into his mind. There was something primal inside the diabolical crevices of his brain that just couldn’t unsee it. Some unhinged line of thinking that his brain managed to conjure up to justify it all. That if she looked this perfectly right in his clothes, he could believe that there was a universe in which she could be his.
That if people could be owned (he knew they couldn’t) — she would be rightfully his.
“Oh, I figured you wouldn't mind,” Anne said, “She was feeling a little chilly, so I gave her one of your old sweaters. You hardly wear it now anyways.”
Almost nervously, the girl wonder gave a small twirl, “Well, it doesn’t look silly on me does it?”
Silly? Sebastian thought. It was a little silly.
It was silly that the sight of her in his old, worn and beaten sweater that he’d worn to death, made his heart scream out of his chest. How was it possible that she could even make scraps of wool look so bewitching?
It was as if being the wielder of a rare form of ancient magic hadn’t sufficed her hunger for power. It was as if she went out of her way to contrive her very own beguiling brand of magic that would render him a total fucking dunce. How else could Sebastian explain the prickling in his fingertips to reach out to her? Or the compulsion in his chest to bury his face in the crook of her neck? And that stupid sweater must’ve smelled like him. Years and years of him. By that logic — because she was wearing it — that must mean she now smelled like him too.
And the thought of that was almost too thrilling for his chest to handle.
Merlin. All this overthinking was a testament to the steely grip this witch had on his heart.
Despite his inner turmoil, he just about managed to choke out a response.
“Not at all. It suits you.”
It more than suited her. In fact if she never wanted to take it off — he’d gladly allow it.
Ominis gave him a pointed look. Anne smiled knowingly. Sebastian wanted to hide. He felt as if his innermost feelings were being paraded on display. Like his internal organs and his blathering heart had been sprawled across the dinner table for everyone to witness. The only person that didn’t seem amused or even remotely aware of his pining was her. She looked at him so sincerely that it was almost distressing. Delightfully doe-eyed, she smiled brightly at his compliment.
It was so fucking endearing that he had to look away. Any longer and would probably combust on the spot into a fan of pitiful flames. Or collapse from this corny infatuation-induced arrhythmia his heart was suffering from. So he turned to look at Anne scathingly instead.
“But thanks for asking before you raided my closet, Anne.” Sebastian said chidingly.
Anne smiled mysteriously, ignoring his accusatory tone all together.
“I was being a courteous host is all.” She said innocently.
Sometimes Sebastian forgot how conniving his sister could truly be. He couldn’t decide whether he was annoyed or proud of her shenanigans.
The girl wonder, sensing something off in Sebastian’s tone, interjected, “Anne was just trying to help. But I can put on something else if you’d prefer—”
“No.” Sebastian said firmly, “You don’t have to. I don’t mind.”
From afar, he heard Ominis snicker.
Ominis was likely calling Sebastian all sorts of embarrassingly belittling names in his head. But that seemed unfair. How was Sebastian supposed to tell her that he would in fact mind it very, very much if she took off his sweater — without sounding like an utter fool?
“Thank you.” She said with a smile and his heart was beside itself.
In fairness, he supposed that Ominis had been right about one thing.
Sebastian was a fucking sap.
“I can’t help but picture a young, petulant baby-faced Sebastian running around the house causing all sorts of mayhem in this sweater,” she said full of mirth as she wrapped her arms around herself, hugging the sweater in glee. Never had he been jealous of a sweater before. That was new.
“Come off it,” Sebastian retorted, “I’ll have you know I was never a petulant child.”
Ominis piped, “Never? That’s odd. You’re still perfectly petulant to me.”
“Okay someone put Ominis on a time out please.” Sebastian said grouchily.
The girl wonder laughed. And like a shot of healing draught down his throat, the sound of it washed away the irritation in the nooks of his taut body.
As she linked arms with Ominis, she said “Come Ominis. I’ll save you from Sebastian’s wrath.”
They retreated into the kitchen, getting plates to help Solomon set up the tables for dinner. With burning eyes, Sebastian watched as they walked away, feeling listless tied to the ground that he stood on. Anne stayed firmly beside him, as if she’d been waiting for this moment to corner him all evening.
“I saw that.” Anne whispered.
His heart leaped, “Pray tell, sister, exactly what you saw?”
“Oh,” she said coyly, “Just the terribly soppy looks you were giving our friend.”
“Oh.” Sebastian said, almost sounding resigned.
Anne raised an eyebrow, “That’s all you have to say?”
“Well, frankly you’re not the first person to say that to me. So I can’t really give you much points for originality,” He replied dryly, belligerent thinking about the long list of friends (and frenemies in Leander’s case) who had already informed him of his affections towards her.
“Hmm, yes. Ominis did mention something about that,”Anne said.
So Sebastian had been right. They had been exchanging letters. He supposed that there wasn’t much point in denying it anymore. While it was true that he could admit to himself that he cared for her deeply, he hadn’t confirmed it verbally with anyone else. Not even Ominis.
But maybe it would be cathartic for him to just… say it out loud. To hell with it all.
Maybe this would be a good time to start.
“I guess there’s not much to contest when it’s the truth.” Sebastian tried to say as casually as he could, despite the palpable weight of what he was so blatantly saying.
Almost gleefully, Anne shrieked, grabbed onto his shoulders and shook him manically, “That’s so very sickeningly endearing for you to say. Who are you and what have you done to my terribly cynical brother?”
He groaned “I don’t know. It’s disgusting isn’t it?”
“Are you in love with her?” Anne squealed as she asked excitedly, ignoring Sebastian’s state of emotional turmoil entirely.
Love? He had wanted to yell. Or throw up. He’d been trying his damn hardest to avoid the word, and now Anne had just thrown it into his face. It had already taken so much out of him just for Sebastian to concede that this could possibly be more than friendship; that this was a romantic affliction. But love? That was a whole other degree and department of troublesome feelings. Love was severe. Love was drastic. Love was a steep curve for him to climb.
Also had Anne forgotten that she was sitting literally right there? In the next room? That she could easily overhear?
With a slight hiss, Sebastian motioned for her to pipe down, “Be a little more discreet would you? Also that’s a little strong. I wouldn’t quite call it… that.”
“Well, then what would you call it?” Anne asked inquisitively.
What was it? That was the ever-complicated question, wasn’t it?
“A crush.” He said simply.
“A crush?” Anne said with a laugh of disbelief, “No way. That brief … whatever you had on Violet McDowell in 2nd year, that was a crush—”
“—God, don’t remind me—” Sebastian said with a grimace at the embarrassing flashback.
But Anne paid no mind as she continued.
“— But this? The way you look at her. The way you speak of her — No matter which way you put it, I don’t think there’s anything else you can call it.”
Sebastian almost took offence at that. Because there had to be something he could call it that didn’t feel so treacherous. That didn’t make him feel like so suffocatingly he’d been backed into a tight corner.
“It’s… complicated.” He replied lamely.
“Sebastian it’s not like you’re trying to decipher an ancient form of magic,” Anne said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes, “It’s just a feeling. It just is or it isn’t. Boys truly are hopeless.”
Sebastian resented that.
“I resent that. It’s not that simple. I’m figuring things out.”
What was the rush anyway? To figure all this out? Love… or whatever this was, wasn’t something to take lightly. He never imagined that Anne would’ve been so frivolous with the word. If anything, he thought that she’d be telling him to tread carefully, not throw caution into the fucking wind. Wasn’t it decidedly worse to say such things so carelessly? To say something that he didn’t mean?
And if Sebastian was sure of anything, he knew that the girl wonder didn’t deserve anything less than the truth.
“Well you might want to figure things out a tad faster.” Anne said as if to warn him.
And that instantly set off a spiel of alarm bells in his cluttered mind.
“Why? Did she say something to you?” Sebastian said almost in a panic.
“I mean, look at you, Seb. You’re getting frazzled from speculation alone!” Anne exclaimed, as if he’d just proved her point  “No, she hasn’t said anything to me. But do you really want to leave it long enough and risk her being whisked away by someone else?”
Sebastian had recently learned that he absolutely detested that idea.
He learned that he would sooner claw his ears deaf than ever have to endure her being taken away by anybody else.
Not that he had a right to be so dramatic about it, of course. Because people couldn’t be claimed – even if he wished dearly that they could be so. Because she was her own capable witch that had her own fair share of suitors vying for her affection, and Sebastian was (at least at the moment) too cowardly to do anything about it. Because even after all the mental mountains he’d already scaled to admit how fucking enamoured he was by her… he still couldn’t bear say the word love alongside her name.
But still. Beyond any rational reason he hated the thought of her being with anyone else with an infuriating passion.
“No.” He admitted.
And maybe that meant Anne was right.
He had to get his shit together.
“Then, dear brother of mine — a word of advice. And I’m saying this because I love you a stupid amount,” Anne said with a firm pat on his shoulder, “Girls don’t wait forever.”
Dinner had been lovely. They’d been fed all the works; from roast ham to mince pies to Christmas pudding. Sebastian had been surprised that Solomon had brought out all the bells and whistles for them. He couldn’t remember the last time that they’d had a meal so lavish in their humble abode. It must’ve been years. But he gathered that it very likely had to do with their special guests.
Since Solomon and Anne had done the majority of the heavy lifting with cooking dinner for them, he felt that it would only be fair that he should be the one to endure the surly task of doing the dishes. Which had left Anne gaping in total shock because she knew how fervently Sebastian hated doing the dishes.
“Okay, now you’re truly scaring me. Are you an imposter? Or an impeccably crafted clone?” Anne had teasingly said.
But to his delight (or his horror) the girl wonder had offered to help him.
So that was how Sebastian found himself in the dim kitchen candlelight, standing so closely to the girl that had been plaguing his every thought for the past few weeks. The girl that had been running amok in his tiny, addled brain. His shoulders brushed hers as they did the dishes in the sink. Like the sizzle of fire on an oiled pan or a gulp of caffeine, every little bump made him feel jittery. And there just was something so deeply domestic about this that filled his head with giddiness.
The smell of soap and sea sponges. The crackle of the fireplace. The muffled chatter from the living room. Her in his sweater. Her sleeves pushed up to her elbows. Her gloved hands. Her furrowed brow. Her smooth hair swept back in a clip.
Her in his home.
As she washed and wiped the dishes, she sang a pretty hum from her lips. It sounded folksy and merry and absurdly lovely in the lilt of her voice — but he didn’t recognise it. He deduced that it was likely one of those muggle tunes she loved so dearly. And he made a mental note to ask her about it when he was less distressed.
It all suddenly felt very dangerous. Largely because of how easily Sebastian could see himself accepting this as a permanent fixture in his life. How easily he could get used to all of this. And he wouldn’t need to be convinced by any means or measure. In fact he’d grovel, pray, beg whatever god or infallible wizard he needed to make this regular occurrence. A taste of this homeliness was enough for him to fold like a cheap suit.
It was appalling at how a tiny taste of mundanity was enough to devoid him of his wit.
“So…” she began slyly, “Anne told me an interesting story about you and the Neighbour’s garden.”
He felt himself go stiff, because that cloying tone of her voice did not sound good at all. What on Earth did Anne think that she was doing? God what on Earth did he think he was doing?
“Something about how you ran stark naked around your neighbour’s garden after a little bender down at the pub? ” She said almost all too innocently. He was shocked at how she managed to say such wicked things with such innocuousness.
He groaned in despair. That was not a story that he had ever wanted her to hear.
“Merlin. You need to stay away from Anne.” Sebastian said brusquely.
“I thought you wanted us to get along?” She said coyly.
His heart jumped. He swore that he could hear a hint of something wicked in the underbelly of her voice. Was she flirting? Because this certainly sounded like flirting.
And if the shivers that ran down the back of his spine was any indication, it sure fucking felt like flirting too.
“Yes, but not at my expense, obviously.” Sebastian said flatly.
“Where’s the fun in that?” She said with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Fun? Merlin this girl would be the death of him. It was supposed to be Sebastian who flustered her; who said cavalier things that made her blush feverishly and rendered her speechless. It had always worked with the village girls down the stream, or the barmaids in Hogsmeade. But with her — the one girl where it truly mattered — it had never been the case.
Here she was rendering him a total dunce, and all it took was a coy smile. All this time, Sebastian had thought that she’d been doing it unintentionally. But maybe she’d been doing it more deliberately than she’d let on. And if that was the case…
He wouldn’t survive it.
“You’re becoming more despicable with every passing day.” He retorted wittily, with just enough mirth to appear charming, but not too much as to leave him feeling exposed.
“I did learn from the best.” She replied pointedly and shrewdly.
Admittedly, he felt his chest swell with pride at the idea that she’d learnt it from him.
But before he had the chance to retort, she caught him off guard with a dose of sincerity.
“Thank you for letting me come over this Christmas.” She said quietly, to a backdrop of the running water tap and the clinking of ceramic plates.
She was thanking him so earnestly. And Sebastian wished he could take credit for it. Pretend that he was totally selfless in inviting her into his home — but he couldn’t shake the feeling that it would be wrong.
The girl wonder had made it known to him early in the year that she had planned to stay in the castle over Christmas. And when she had first mentioned it several months ago, Sebastian had felt restless — but at the time, he hadn’t known why.
After months of emotional whiplash, it was safe to say that he now had a clearer idea.
“Couldn’t let you stay alone in the castle, now could I?” Sebastian said.
“I mean you could’ve.” She joked.
He couldn’t have. He wouldn’t have. But how else was Sebastian meant to explain that without confessing some degree of his despairing devotion to her? How was he to explain to her that actually, she was doing him this favour? By being here, with him, in the dim corner of his childhood kitchen light. How else was he to explain to her that if she hadn’t, even if she stayed by herself in the hallowed halls of the castle, he’d still be the lonelier one between them?
He couldn’t. So he needed to keep it brief.
“No,” he said surprisingly sincerely, “I really couldn’t.”
And all of a sudden, the weightless atmosphere that once pervaded the room was now gone. The muffled voices from the living room became soft. Even the soreness in his fingers from all the dish-washing dulled. What was left was only the sincerity in his voice now. He hadn’t intended to sound so… honest, but he guessed that she naturally brought it out of him.
He could only hope that he hadn’t… totally freaked her out.
He turned to look at her, to say something either aloof or wildly charming — but he soon realised that it was a grave mistake. Because suddenly, he was looking right at her, and she was looking right at him. And with one measly look, Sebastian’s chest felt tighter and the air felt thinner.
(This was happening so often, really — you’d think that he would’ve been more accustomed to it all by now.)
Her eyes flicked up to something above them that had caught her attention; but Sebastian couldn’t bring himself to look up — or care in all honesty. Too enraptured by the magnetic pull of her eyes.
But the next words she uttered out of her lips, he couldn’t have ever ignored:
“Is that… a mistletoe?”
Sebastian almost wanted to laugh. Because surely, he had to have misheard.
Because a fucking mistletoe?
But alas, magically above them, a mistletoe sat. In all its almost mocking, prickly glory, a mistletoe was perched on the edge of the hanging kerosene kitchen lamp.  All of a sudden, blood was rushing in his ears, drowning out the rest of the room. All that he could hear was the thunderous pounding thump of his relentless heartbeat banging against his eardrums.
When Sebastian realised that he hadn’t spoken for a while, he racked his tiny anxious brain for something meaningful, charming, or at least coherent.
“It… must be Anne’s doing.” Was all Sebastian could say, rather lamely.
Was this Anne’s idea of helping him move along? To make it all go a little faster? Because if that were true, this was the most insane plan he’d ever heard of. And Sebastian was normally the mastermind behind the most ludicrous and most asinine of plans — so trust that he could spot one a mile away.
If he hadn’t loved his sister so dearly, he would’ve banished her out to the neighbour’s cottage for the rest of the night for all the emotional strife she was causing him! If he were to die young from all the heart palpitations this meddling was sure to give him — he’d vow to haunt her endlessly for eternity.
Because coercing the girl that he… had very strong feelings for… into kissing him would not bode well on his conscience. Or his ego. Or his delicately constructed sense of self-worth. In fact it would rather bruise him if she were to kiss him out of some sort of misplaced obligation.
No matter how heavenly he knew it would probably feel.
Sebastian could feel himself literally teetering on the brink of perilous precipice; between what he could do next… but also what he should most definitely not do next.
This was all feeling too loud and too radical for him to bear. How did kissing her suddenly factor into this equation?
… But as if by wicked instinct, his gaze dropped down onto the curve of her lips — and he absolutely loathed himself for it.
Gods, wouldn’t it be nice to kiss her?
(Another one of those absurd, intrusive thoughts of his.)
He was ready to laugh it off. Tell her that it was just a silly little old thing. Some outdated conventions. They didn’t have to go through with it. In fact, they could spare themselves the embarrassment and never speak of this ever again if she willed it so.
To his surprise, she replied almost matter-of-factly:
“… Supposedly if we don’t kiss, we’d be doomed to 100 years of misfortune.”
Like a slow sinful poison, he felt his body go numb in shock. Like a match to a barren wick, he felt his mouth go dry. Had he heard right?
Was she implying what he thought she was implying?
Almost cautiously, he replied, “We wouldn’t want that.”
It was true, he wouldn’t want that. 100 years of misfortune wouldn’t do him any good in trying to court the girl before him.
“Not at all,” She said as she nodded.
So it was only logical that they had to kiss.
“100 Years is… a long time,” He rationalised.
He almost couldn’t believe the words tumbling out of his mouth.
“A lifetime long,” She agreed.
Forget what he was saying — why was she encouraging this?
“And I suppose it is tradition,” He justified.
“Right. Tradition.” She clarified.
When she’d put it like that, it seemed entirely sensible. Almost as if doing anything else would be totally irrational. Sebastian normally skewed towards irrationality, because what was life without a little bit of unreasonableness…
But if she was readily weaving this enticing thread of logic for him — he would obediently surrender to her pull.
Sebastian waited for the punchline. The cruel joke. For her to say she was, “just kidding, of course!”
But even after what felt like aeons of silence — it never came. He wondered if she could read him. If she knew that he was all unbridled nerves and anticipation in this lanky body of his. All he saw was her, looking straight at him. No distractions, just a firm sense of purpose. And he wondered what was behind her eyes. Was she nervous? Because he was fucking nervous.
Why didn’t she look nervous?
A lull fell over them, and it was as if they’d reach an impasse. As if it were a silent agreement between two precarious souls.
“So I guess-” He began.
“Right.”
He supposed that was confirmation enough. For him to press on. To take the next step.
But what was the next step? This didn’t come with a fucking manual. How was he to go about kissing the girl that had plagued his every waking thought now that she was all but offering it?
He supposed he just had to take it.
So he did.
He took a daring step forward, and he swore that he could see a slight tremor in her throat. It was tiny, almost imperceivable, but honest to god, it helped him breathe a little. Because it meant that maybe she wasn’t so unbothered by this treacherous proximity as she appeared to be.
When he looked at her closely and scrutinised every crinkle in her eye, he saw a sliver of something he hadn’t seen before. Something familiar. Like the flicker of a yearning and restlessness he saw so often in himself. In the rounds of her cheeks, he could make out the outline of a growing blush, betraying the effect his closeness had on her.
With every passing second he inched closer, Sebastian could feel something growing inside him. Breaking out in the pit of his stomach like turbulent waves. A feeling he knew would only be quelled if he managed to get his mouth onto hers. Until he knew what every inch of her lips tasted like.
Was he really about to do this?
Sebastian was still holding onto the dishes in the sink. But fuck the dishes. He didn’t have the time to put that shit down. He’d carry the weight of every stupid dish, cup or ceramic bowl if it meant that he’d be able to touch her.
“Merry Christmas Sebastian.” She whispered.
And what a lovely whisper it was.
Before her hands ever touched him, her voice did. It embraced him everywhere; his arms, down his spine, even in the unknown depths of his heart. He felt his chest melt a little with something warm and soft and so, so pleasant. In this moment, he allowed himself to believe it. Believe that maybe he could be in love with her. Maybe he was already knee-deep in it; buried thousands and thousands of feet below the weight of his burdensome feelings.
And that this love wouldn’t kill him. It wouldn’t hurt him. It wouldn’t be wrong or scary or restricting.
He could love her and still breathe.
She was so close. Just one more step and they’d meet.
Fuck his ego. Fuck his conscience. Fuck his brittle his self-worth. He would fucking kiss her like his entire measly existence depended on it.
It was just on the tip of his tongue. It was right there for the taking. It was—
“Hey, Dessert’s ready—”
— Ominis?
As quickly as heaven had opened its gates, it had also come crashing down like a train wreck.
Like a brutal punch to the gut, Sebastian was thrown back into a sobering reality. Ominis’s sharp voice had popped the fragile little bubble they’d temporarily created.
Wasn’t the universe just fucking cruel?
And as much as he loved his best friend, he had never ever hated him more. Of all the moments that he could’ve chosen to walk in on… this was what he decided on?
Silence hung in the air. The shadow of something that almost happened lingered like a half-spoken sonnet, begging to be finished. Sebastian searched for the right words, searched for clarity in the fog, searched for the will to string his thoughts together — but it all eluded him.
“...Did I interrupt something—”
“N-No!” “Nope.”
Her face was flushed crimson. His was probably no better.
Thank Merlin, Ominis was blind.
As if by magic, they were now a whole metre apart. Now that Sebastian had a taste of closeness, this distance starved him. It felt like a cruel, deprivation
A heavy silence settled between them, with each second stretching out for what felt like an eternity. Ominis hadn’t seen them, per se — but Sebastian had a feeling that he could sense that he had just ruined… something significant.
Love might not have killed him, but this painfully awkward silence would.
"Right... well. Solomon asked me to get you both," Ominis finally broke the silence, his tone tinged with clear discomfort.
The ambiance dissipated, the moment was gone. Replaced by the ordinary state of affairs they were forced to return to.
“We’ll—” Sebastian began to say with a slight croak, before clearing his throat, “We’ll be right there.”
He couldn’t bear to look at her as he rushed out to the living room, where normalcy awaited him.
There went his bloody chance.
“Ominis, my plan!” Anne said in a rushed whisper as she pulled the blonde boy into an alcove of the small Sallow residence.
He looked back at her guiltily, with only the slightest hint of a grumble, “Well you could’ve told me about the plan ahead of time…”
“We were so close!” Anne said
“I’m sorry…”

Childhood Friends - Ominis Gaunt (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Requested! - My requests are still open!
Word Count - 1317
Themes - Fluff & Angst
The next morning, you’d purposely left your curtains open so you’d wake early to the sun shining through your window. You laid still for a minute, listening for any movement in the house, but everything was still. Your parents must still be in bed.
You slipped out of bed silently, changed into your outdoor clothing and silently left your room, creeping down the stairs to the front door, glancing at the clock which stood on the floor, it was 6:30 in the morning. You made quick work of unlocking the door, closing it behind you slowly as to not make a sound.
You took off running as you had done the previous day, heading towards the oak tree. The town was silent at this time of the morning aside from your footsteps echoing as you ran. Eventually, you made it back to the oak tree, climbing quickly to your spot from the previous day.
After what felt like hours you heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching, quietly peeking from your spot in the tree, you spotted Ominis. He’d come to meet you even after the events of the night before. You jumped down from the tree, landing a few feet away from him.
“Ominis?” You spoke softly. He motioned for you to come and sit at the base of the tree with him. He tried to smile but it couldn’t hide the sadness that was clear on his face.
You sat there in silence for a while before either one of you spoke.
“I’ve never really had any friends, no one wants to be seen with me because of my family name.” He whispered, so quietly that you almost missed what he said. A small tear slid down his cheek as he spoke.
“I’m your friend though, I don’t care about your name.” You replied, resting your small hand on his shoulder. You didn’t understand why everyone was so cruel to him, why would nobody want to be his friend? He leant into the hand you placed on his shoulder.
“I feel safe with you. I don’t feel safe anywhere else.” He said solemnly. You felt a wave of sadness rush over you, not knowing what to do. After a while Ominis got up from beneath the tree, pulling you to your feet also.
“Can we play a game or something? I just want to be a child again.” He asked quietly, you smiled sadly, agreeing with him that a game was needed now. Ominis suggested hide and seek, to which you agreed, it was one of your favourite games. You hid first, believing that you had the best hiding spot in the area, but Ominis still found you, whether that was down to skill or using his wand to cheat you were unsure. The two of you took it in turns hiding and seeking for hours, the game eventually evolved into hide, seek and chase meaning that you were running away from each other as fast and as erratically as possible.
Laughter rang out across the grassy fields for hours, and you both truly felt safe and free. By the time the evening came, neither of you wanted to leave each other, genuinely saddened by the thought of leaving.
“We’ll meet again tomorrow?” You asked, Ominis looked thoughtful for a moment until his expression fell.
“I’m going to be away for a week, but we could meet again here on Saturday?” He countered. You couldn’t help but feel saddened by this, but agreed regardless looking forward to Saturday, even though it was a week away.
You both said your goodbyes and parted ways for the evening, as you walked away you couldn’t help but look back. You were worried for your new friend, and you wanted him to be happy. Walking home, you were trapped in your own thoughts, you’d never had a friend like Ominis before. Not one that you had immediately felt a connection with, you found that often it would take a long time for you to build friendships to the point of being comfortable around the person but with Ominis it was different.
Walking into your home, your parents were waiting for you sat around the kitchen table. You could tell that they were worried when you saw their expressions as you walked through the door.
“Little one, where have you been?” Your father asked, worry lacing his voice. You walked over and hugged him tightly, doing the same to your mother after.
“I’m sorry, I met up with Daisy this morning and we were laying out in the grass fields. I forgot what the time was.” You answered, it was only a small lie. Your father smiled and stroked your hair.
“As long as you’re being safe, that’s all that matters. Now, dinner is ready, go and wash up.” He spoke softly, much calmer now.
The next few months passed in a blur; you’d meet Ominis at the oak tree as often as you could. You’d spend all day together, playing games and telling stories, talking about your lives. Ominis had opened up to you about what had happened the day that you’d met him. His father had tried to make him cast the cruciatus curse on a muggle and he’d refused. Because of his refusal, his father had made his older siblings cast the curse on him which was why he ran and found you. He told you about how when he returned home that night he relented to his fathers wishes and cast the curse and about how awful it made him feel after. He hated his family and the dark magic that they used.
“Are you going to Hogwarts in the autumn?” You asked hopefully, it was the school that your parents had decided to send you to so you hoped that your friend would join you. Ominis nodded, he was excited to be able to go to school with the person he now considered to be his best friend.
“I’m looking forward to it, it will be nice to have a friend to go with.” He motioned to you; you laughed thinking about all of the adventures that you’d be able to have while you were there. You rested your head on his shoulder as you sat up against the oak tree, listening to the sound of the grass rustling and the birds chirping.
“What if we aren’t in the same house?” You asked quietly. Ominis laughed at that, causing you to frown.
“You don’t exactly seem like a Slytherin to me (Y/N). You’re too kind.” He chirped, it made you laugh slightly but a worry settled in your stomach. You wouldn’t be able to see him as much.
“We’ll still see each other though, right?” You asked with a hint of sadness. Ominis wrapped his arm around your shoulder and hugged you tightly.
“Of course we will, I’m never going to leave my best friend behind. Do you remember what I told you the day we met back at the tree? You make me feel safe. I’m never going to abandon you.” You felt a tear slide down your cheek at his words. Ominis had honestly become your best friend and you cared deeply for him.
The sound of apparition broke you out of your thoughts. You looked up at the figure in front of you and Ominis to see your father.
“(Y/N) stand up.” Your father demanded. Ominis quickly removed his arm from your shoulder and you pushed yourself onto your feet, panic setting in. “I told you months ago to stay away from him, how could you disobey me?” Your father asked, sounding hurt. Tears began to flow down your cheeks rapidly. Your father walked up to you and took your arm, quickly apparating you away. The last thing you saw was the sadness on Ominis’ face as your father grabbed your arm.

A little angsty and bitter sweet idea I had floating around in my head.
Alot can happen in 10 years 💚
Sebastian wandered in the night, he'd got out of Azkaban a couple of weeks back, Azkaban wasn't kind to him, that place wasn't kind to anyone, not that he deserved kindness, nor felt any kindness towards a soul after he got out, for the last 10 years all he thought about was MC, Ominis and Anne, naturally once he was out he managed to track down Anne's location, well, her grave that was, he spent the evening he found out about her passing at her grave side, sobbing. His next order of business was tracking down MC, he asked around, going on what information he knew, he assumed shed end up being a keeper, and the repository under Hogwarts would of been a huge priority for her, so she HAD to of lived nearby Hogwarts, he asked around using the description of her looks that were still burnt into his brain from their school days, luckily for him, it didn't take long to find out where she lived, she obviously hadn't changed that much since then.
He approached her home in the dead of night, his hands shaking, he had many things he wanted to say to her, not nice things, with even less nice action's "Alohomora" he whispered in a dark tone, gaining access to the home, he stepped in quietly, and made his way upstairs, his brain was so focused, so angry and twisted at the thought of what he was about to do, his brain clearly still not right from the torments of Azkaban. He entered her room as slow and hushed as he could, not just to find her asleep in bed, but Ominis, he was next to her, they both slept soundly, holding eachother, his brain stopped all thought for a moment, spotting wedding rings on their fingers from the end of their bed where he now stood, glaring at them.
He slowly reached down to grab his wand, his hand still shaking, anger in his eye's, when he suddenly heard a creek from the hallway, he snapped out of his furious trance for a moment, and turned his head towards the door, was someone else here? He crept away again slowly to investigate the noise, hearing something in the kitchen downstairs, he approached cautiously, his hand ready at his wand once more, his face dropped slightly seeing a little girl in the kitchen making herself a drink "They..Have a child" he thought to himself. The girl turned and let out a little gasp, seeing Sebastians dark figure in the doorway to the kitchen. He panicked but tried to remain calm
Sebastian: Its OK shhh, it's OK. I'm....I'm not here to hurt you.
For goodness sake, she couldn't of been much older than 6 years old, and she was the perfect mix of MC and Ominis, Sebastians anger turned to sadness, and regret, he'd come here tonight to end MC's life. Only to find her, the girl he once loved, and his bestfriend, had a family..
Sebastian: *soft but fake smile, trying to keep her calm* What's your name?
Annabella: ..A-Annabella Gaunt
She stood, hugging a little rabbit doll, a tear ran down Sebastians face as he looked at her. He leant down in front of her.
Sebastian: Its..Nice to meet you Annabella..My names Sebastian..Have you heard that name before? *he asked curiously*
Annabella: Mummy and Daddy had a friend called Sebastian, are you him? I've heard them speak your name.
Sebastian: Do you..Know anything else?
Annabella: No..Just that name..When they talk about when they were younger, in school.
Sebastian stood, wiping another tear from his eye, before he began to walk away, he turned towards her once back in the doorway.
Sebastian: Tell your mummy and Daddy in the morning, that Sebastian said congratulations..And..That they'll never see me again.
With that he left the home, wandering aimlessly into the night once more..Holding his hand up to his mouth, as tears streamed down his face, he got to a forest area and simply slumped down against a tree, holding his head in his hands.
A lot can happen in 10 years..Beautiful things that he'd missed out on having, all due to that vicious hold that dark magic had over him..HE could of had those things..Had he not been so foolish.

Gaunt Family Headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt were cousins. Due to the dwindling Gaunt line, they consolidated the family tree by marrying, leaving Noctua as their only eligible bride. Mr. Gaunt, her older brother, wanted to marry her off to a great pureblood house.
All of the major houses within the Sacred 28 submitted sons to court Noctua, but she turned down each offer. Noctua decided to become a governess, which deeply insulted all of the families (an offense not forgotten by the time the Gaunt children started seeking out their own matches).
The Gaunts have five children: Marvolo, Cedrella, Dorcas, Apolline, and Ominis. Mr. Gaunt urged his wife to continue having children until he had both an heir and a spare to the Gaunt legacy. Marvolo was fifteen by the time Ominis was born.
Desperate after having three girls, Mrs. Gaunt turned to dark magic to ensure her next baby was a boy. She was relieved when the midwife showed her the beautiful blond baby boy, and was not surprised to find out he was blind (there is always an exchange when dealing with dark magic).
Marvolo and Cedrella never cared for Ominis; they were already at Hogwarts by the time he was born. Ominis got along quite well with his other sisters, Dorcas and Apolline, until they started playing with the unforgivable curses for fun.
Mr. Gaunt picked up a gambling habit after Ominis was born. The other pureblood families, eager to put the Gaunts in their place after Noctua's denial of their sons, start colluding with one another to swindle their fortune. Only the Blacks remained loyal to the Gaunts.
Noctua disappeared when Ominis was ten. It was quickly spread within the pureblood social circle that she had run off with a muggleborn lover; despite vehemently denying the accusations, Mr. Gaunt had no proof to back it up.
Noctua knew her mission to find the scriptorium would be dangerous, and made arrangements for her belongings just in case. She left her precious Slytherin locket to Ominis, her favorite nephew. Mrs. Gaunt read this in her will and decided to pocket the heirloom, believing it was better suited for one of the older children.
Due to their relationship with Headmaster Black, all of the older Gaunt children were granted permission to bring snake companions with them to Hogwarts. Ominis was the only one to not have a pet snake.
Mr. Gaunt faced immense pressure to get his daughters out of the house once they graduated from Hogwarts. Mrs. Gaunt just thought he was being picky with their matches, but truthfully he and Marvolo had to scrounge up galleons for their dowries.
A/N: I love thinking about the downfall of the Gaunt family and how they can go from the height of society to destitute by the time voldy is born. Also the idea of Noctua being an independent lady who refused to get married
