'Art of Failing' 'Art of Learning by Failing' or the 'Will to Fail' is the best learning a child can retain. A child learns to walk by failing. So they already know the art, till the parents systematically disgrace the art itself. Typically the parents teach her to 'Win by Selectiveness'. So instead of learning by continuous trial, she learns to wait between trials by getting external inputs from her expert parents (later replaced by the teacher). This process ignores that during continuous trial, it was her brain doing the analysis. So the learning anything, was about building the brain's analytical processes too. Failing can be defined as trying to judge our bounds by stretching farther till we discover them. So a much failed person would know their bounds in 360 degree terms, whereas a successful person could be a unidimensional winner, if their stats show a huge win ratio. Even in the game 'Prince of Persia' we try 100s of times at every gate before we learn the secret of that gate and it is a huge learning from the start to finish about the nuance of every move. What would happen if a teacher guides us through 'Prince of Persia's? We would end up either in awe of the teacher's prowess or we end up in developing a distaste for teaching. Of course either way we would not be able to enjoy the game. Also our 'art of failing' gets replaced by the 'art of self image' as the parents instil in the child a concept of entity wherein the protection of the image becomes a primary task, superceding the 'need to learn'.
