🆘Dying at the public shelter~~FUNDS & FOSTER NEEDED: Harbor Shelter just reached out to us about Canela, this poor sweet girl who they ORAGE ALERTED (euthanize if not rescued) due to G.I. Stasis and suffering complications after being sent for shelter spay. She's not eating or pooping, she's in pain, she no longer allows shelter staff to handle her, she's pulling fur from under her chin, and a firm mass has developed in her abdomen; possible tumor...‼️We need to pull Canela right away and rush her to our Vet for G.I. Stasis protocol, and emergency surgery to correct her botched spay -- so PLEASE help us save her! A kindhearted foster mom or dad must be prepared and ready to receive this sweet angel the moment she's able to leave the hospital...🙏Please email: [email protected] with subject: "SAVING CANELA!" We are in Los Angeles and have housing equipment for her. Without a foster spot for Canela, our hands are tied!💔Canela was ditched at the public shelter last month by her owner who hadn't bothered to provide her proper spay, nor proper care, and hadn't cut her nails in a long time. She's only 8 month old. She did NOT deserve to be a short-lived novelty for some careless person who had no business messing with her life in the first place, only to dump her once the novelty wore off! Please stop buying bunnies! Please stop supporting breeders of ANY kind. They are ALL cruel and are the cause of ALL the suffering.⚠️When done properly, spay procedures are the NUMBER ONE most vital & valuable action to take for female bunnies! Unfortunately, we've had to rescue several shelter bunnies who have encountered less than skilled hands! We are working to change that, but right now, we must save this latest victim of an under-qualified surgeon. 📌If you cannot foster, please won't you consider helping us with medical bills by clicking the handy "Donate" button or by visiting bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate for PayPal -- and on Venmo, search: @bunnyworldfoundation 📌Northwood Animal Hospital will process call-in donations of $100 or more. We are now at about $17,000.00 total balance due at Northwood. Their phone number is 949-559-1992💗Thank you for responding to this sad emergency in any way you can, we really need you. Please share Canela to widen the foster search for her, and to raise awareness of what is happening.Remember... 🙂"Coffee Money" can make miracles happen if enough people chip in! Much Love,~BWF

Never done a WIP Wednesday before but I'm super invested in this accidental AU and I need you all to have brainrot with me
From "Angel of Music," the third installment in the les Innocents universe
When Marius was a child, he had a cat who followed him everywhere; she was black, but if the sun hit her fur at just the right angle it revealed very dark brown spots, like a melanistic jaguar, and her name was Akasha. Marius was so damn attached to that cat, and he was devastated when she died his sophomore year of college, only venturing out of his dorm room to attend classes or stalk moodily to the cafeteria for dinner.
He hadn’t had another pet since . . . until now. Marius and Armand were going to adopt two kittens together from a rescue place, littermates abandoned by their mother, named Benji and Sybelle. Benji, a tuxedo, and Sybelle, a calico. Marius couldn’t not fall in love when Armand coaxed him into the shelter to look at the animals (“just for fun”) and the staff brought them out to play - it was like it was meant to be.
And they were just too damn adorable.
Armand spent almost the entire day locked up in the master bathroom with their new pets, taking pictures and letting them cautiously sniff his hands as they got used to their environment. He sent photos and videos to everyone he knew -  look at how cute they are!
Mojo’s cuter, Lestat replied, to which Armand rolled his eyes; it sometimes seemed like he loved that damn dog more than his husband. Man’s best friend, indeed - Lestat and Mojo were inseparable. That dog had been to every les Innocents meeting for the last six years.
You’re biased, Armand shot back. Louis, tell him.

Smart Dogs Dog Training : Best Dog Trainer in Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach's sunny beaches entice not only beachgoers and surfers but also animal friends who have visions of winning Frisbee games and deliciously salty fur. However, you are missing one crucial component before your seashore happiness materializes: a happy, well-mannered dog by your side. Let me introduce you to the finest dog trainer in Manhattan Beach, Smart Dogs Dog Training, and its resident dog whisperer, Jeff Todd.
The days of general training courses and prefabricated solutions are long gone. With years of experience and a heart full of dog love, Jeff creates custom pathways for your four-legged pet. Jeff customizes his methods to each dog's unique needs, whether you're raising a hyperactive puppy, unraveling the puzzle of a rescued misfit, or just trying to deepen your relationship with your seasoned friend.
Making Puppyhood's Footprints
Do you recall when chewed shoes and torn couch cushions were considered hallmarks of being a puppy? Jeff's training techniques for puppies turn those memories into far-off footprints. He turns your boisterous ball of fur into a social butterfly who respects limits and cues, laying the groundwork for a future of polite greets, serene walks, and happy playing.
Resolving the Misbehavior Knots
Destructive excavation? Unwanted barking sounds? Jeff uses the gentle touch of a dog psychologist to untangle the tangles of misbehavior rather than just treating the symptoms. He explores the root causes, identifying fears and triggers that motivate undesirable behavior. Jeff turns frowns into tail-wags by guiding you toward solutions that promote understanding and restore trust through empathy and positive reinforcement. This is the reason why Jeff is considered to be the best dog trainer in Manhattan Beach.
Welcome to a New Furry Member of the Family
Finding a four-legged friend isn't the only goal of adopting a dog; another important goal is building a happy family. Understanding this, Jeff provides pre-adoption counseling to ensure a smooth transfer from the shelter to the family. He assists you in selecting the ideal breed for your way of life, gets your family ready for the new member, and offers vital advice for getting through those anxious first few days.
The Secret to Fido's Potential Unlocking
Jeff's secret sauce is a greater understanding of canine behavior rather than a clicker or bag of treats. He perceives the world from your dog's perspective, understanding their natural needs and modes of communication. Jeff advocates for positive reinforcement, which involves using praise and rewards to create a bridge between collaboration and trust, in contrast to the harsh, antiquated ways of the past.
Why Choose Smart Dogs Dog Training?
This is the reason why:
Proven Track Record: Jeff's success is attested to by the countless delighted owners and wagging tails. One pet companion at a time, he changes people's lives.
Customized Training Schedules: Especially when it comes to dogs, there is no one size fits all solution. With laser concentration, Jeff's customized programs make sure your dog's unique requirements and goals are addressed.
The Revolution of Positive Reinforcement: Give up the bullying and focus on happiness. Jeff's techniques help to create a solid, enduring relationship based on respect and trust.
Entire Services: Smart Dogs has everything from puppyhood to behavior modification covered. Regardless of your dog's age or level of difficulty, Jeff is qualified to help.
Community Champion: Jeff is not just a trainer; he truly cares about the welfare of dogs. He is a well-liked character in Manhattan Beach who actively supports proper dog ownership and stands up for animal companions who are in need.
Are You All Set to Compose the Perfect Beach Tale?
Sighs of frustration and chewed slippers are not acceptable. Join Jeff Todd and Smart Dogs Dog Training for an exciting journey that will make your tail wag. Make contact with them right away to open the door to a world of contented walks, joyous barks, and memories that will cheer you up long after the last sand particle has been removed from your shoes.
For further information, call or visit https://www.smartdogsdogtraining.com/

Bonus:

Dog's Reaction to Mom Adopting Him a 'Buddy' Is Just the Best

Dog's Reaction to Mom Adopting Him a 'Buddy' Is Just the Best
The smile on his face says it all!
Having a dog might be one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it only gets better when you add another pet to the equation. It’s like giving your fur baby a little sibling! For the adorable family on @kreng.delacreme’s TikTok account, the addition of a new furry friend couldn’t have gone any better.
Odin is going to fit right in with his big bro and mama, though we think this Pit Bull has already captured the hearts of his TikTok fans. Ready to see why?
View the original article to see embedded media.
OMG–these boys are just in love with one another! We think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, and we can’t wait for updates from the fur fam. Just like @julietsherally76 wrote, this dog mom has “2 handsome boys now. You’re wonderful.” Adoption really is the best!
Not only does Odin get a loving home out of this arrangement, but another pup gets his spot in the shelter now, too. It’s just happiness all around! No wonder we’re head-over-heels for these Pit brothers.
“Look how happy they both are,” @dougieg1907 noticed. “You are an angel.” Those tail wags are giving us life! We love to see happy pets, but nothing beats the precious rescue story that comes along with them. This new life looks like a major upgrade from the shelter!
“I can’t wait to do this for my baby,” said dog owner @llmultipass. It does seem like a rewarding thing to do, doesn’t it? Plus–both you and your pup have a new built-in best friend! When there’s so much love to go around, there’s no reason not to spread it. If you’re able to, of course!
Do you have a pet who’s funny, smart, full of personality, or just downright adorable? We’d love for you to submit a video of your fur baby for a chance to be featured on PetHelpful and our social channels! Click here to upload your clip and share your beloved pet with the world. For more interesting pet news, be sure to sign up for our newsletter! And don’t forget to follow us on Google News for the latest updates.

Feeling emotional about my cat again so I thought, why not actually like....explain...what I mean when I say her name has like a billion different layers of symbolism (to contrast Hazard, whose name is A Hazard To Society because within fifteen minutes of being adopted he tried to crash the car because he was just so happy he HAD to climb into my lap and lick my face while I was doing 70 on the highway.)
(To be clear, we take great care while transporting our animals. Since Julis didn’t know before meeting him who we were going home with, though, we couldn’t buy a crate or harness in advance. He didn’t get anywhere near causing an actual danger or distraction; he was on a leash and Julis was right next to him to hold him back. It was funny, not a near-tragedy, because nobody was ever in danger.)
Anyway. My girl.
First and foremost, “nepenthe” is a reference to a mythical draught in the Odyssey; a potion that erases bad memories. Colloquially it carries a connotation of something that doesn’t cause memory loss, just....healing. Washing away pain and trauma, blunting the edges; turning an open wound into a scar so that you can live your life. Nepenthe was marked “at risk” and days from moving into the “extreme risk” category in an open-intake shelter*, a former outdoor cat seized by court order who was so stressed and so emotionally messed-up that she couldn’t be taken out of her cage despite rubbing against my hand through the bars and purring; because her mood could change without warning, and the shelter staff had been mauled before trying to get her back in. I wanted to give her a hopeful name.
It was a change from her shelter name, and, well. I was raised by a sailor. It’s very, very bad luck to change a ship’s name, because changing her name strips her of her identity and of everything that her crew has given her over the years--luck, prayers, care, hopes and dreams. However, if a ship has suffered bad luck, been mishandled or poorly treated, it CAN be good luck to rename her for those same reasons--giving her a fresh start, a new soul. “Dot” was the name of a scared neglect-case cat in the shelter; Nepenthe doesn’t have to be defined by those experiences.
More than a direct Odyssey reference, her name was a reference to a reference. What I had in mind was actually a line from The Raven:  “Wretch!” I cried. “Thy God hath lent thee--by his angels he hath sent thee-- Respite, respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore--” So, you know. The “draught of healing” symbolism goes both ways--for Penny herself, and because like any rescue cat she brought something wonderful to my life and I can’t imagine not having her.
It’s not a coincidence that she has the same name as the sailboat my dad was working to restore from terrible neglect and mishandling (and a really stupid, meaningless name) while my mom was going through cancer treatments. The name and everything it meant got seared into me. So did this--boats, like pets, become what we put into them and that starts with a name. A meaningless name is bad, but imagine what you’re courting by giving an emotionally-unstable cat a name like “shadow” or “demon” or something. It affects how we see them and that affects what they grow into. She needed a name that was...gentle. Kind. To give her something to become.
It can be shortened to “Penny,” which is a nice little reference to the copper undertones in her fur when sunlight hits her at the right angle.
“Penny” also plays into the lovely irony of a black cat being named after a good-luck charm. Find a Penny, pick it up...
By sheer random luck, “nepenthe” is also the genus name of a group of pitcher plants...which are sun-powered, beautiful, and eat small animals. Just like a cat.
AND THEN THERE’S HAZARD--
* A responsible and conscientious one, with extremely dedicated staff who do their absolute best; there is a huge stray-cat problem in that area, and part of ensuring that no cat in need is ever turned away means having to make impossible calls when space runs out. They do excellent work and care deeply about their animals, and were beyond thrilled when she finally found a home.

Note
maybe a scenario with sejuani where she rescues the reader eventhough they thought she was going to hurt them and she gets super flustered around them 👉🏻👈🏻🥺
awwww that’s such a cute idea! I’ve got you 😁
Sejuani x Injured!Reader Drabble
Warning: Mentions of wounds and blood
The clan of the Frostfang was a dying breed. Whereas the Winter's Claw chose violence out of tradition, culture and for the sake of their reputation, the Frostfang chose violence out of pure anarchy. Other clans looked down on them as more animal than human, they were fools who charged into battle without second thought. Such idiocy was weakness, and the Winter's Claw did not tolerate weakness.
So when Sejuani found you unconscious in a blizzard, your ruby red blood staining the white snow around you, she should've left you there. Let your clan take its natural course as it died to their own misfortunes. Any other warrior of the Winter's Claw would've, and as leader Sejuani should set the example.
Instead, she picked you up and secured you in her arms as she rode Bristle back to shelter. She already had enough supplies to last a couple of days, there was no way she could take you back to the stronghold, the instant they see you with Sejuani the entire clan will lose faith in her.
After Sejuani patched you up once finding refuge in a cave, she sat beside you, searching your features. What brought her to save you? Perhaps it was how unconventional you looked, you looked so gentle. The tattoo of the Frostfang clan was unmistakable on your forearm, the many scars that littered your body prior to your current injuries was no mistake either, but your resting face was so calm and tranquil. Your eyebrows weren't furrowed, your breathing was slow and heavy. You didn't look like a barbarian, much like the Frostfang had a reputation for. To Sejuani, you had the face that made people think angels truly walked among the people. So honest, so innocent yet holding an inner power, it would've been a crime to leave you in the snow.
So caught up in watching your features, Sejuani almost didn't notice you awaken. She noticed how your eyes widened upon registering who she was, the fear that struck your face. You started to hurriedly sit up but any movement would reopen your wounds. But Sejuani had the solution.
She lunged forward, hands on your shoulders as she pushed you down to the floor with all her weight. Her knees on either side of you, you weren't moving anywhere. But your panic only started to grow, she could feel your muscles tensing under her grip and she started to panic if you over-exerted yourself.
“Let me go!” You rasped but Sejuani growled in response.
“You're not going anywhere.”
“I didn't mean to bother. Just let me go and forget I ever existed, I won't tell anyone about this, I swear,” you muttered quickly, still struggling astonishingly well despite your wounds. The true Frostfang spirit was kicking in, Sejuani was impressed. “Just don't kill me!”
Sejuani hesitated.
“What?”
You hesitated in return.
“Huh?”
“You thought I was going to kill you?”
“You are Sejuani, Warmother of the Winter's Claw, yes?”
“Yes, but,” Sejuani frowned. For once, she was stupefied. Impulses were only good in battle, when they helped preserve your life. But now, she acted on impulse on something else entirely, to save someone's life.
Sighing she got off of you before helping you sit up against a wall. She couldn't help but tense as she felt your gaze following her expectantly, waiting for her to speak but she couldn't find any words.
“What happened to you?” Sejuani asked simply and you grimaced in response.
“Trolls. Ambushed our tribe, shouting about how we were 'interfering with an Ice Witch',” you shrugged bitterly. “We don't back down, so we tried to fight it out, even if we were outnumbered.”
“Are there any other survivors?”
“If it's just me...” your head twitched away at the unpleasant thought. As you tried to relay through the violent memories, trying to remember if anyone was still standing as you fell, Sejuani was stuck in thoughts of her own. She watched your pondering, you were rather unique. A Frostfang that spoke so well, so sensitive. Despite your supposed gentle disposition, your ability to survive such a ruthless battle and injuries was a strength in itself, right?
“I have nowhere to go...” you whispered, so softly you could barely hear yourself.
You were stirred out of your morbid thoughts as you felt animal fur wrap around your forearm, tightened and hiding your Frostfang mark.
“You are no longer Frostfang,” Sejuani stated. “You are a true warrior, free to go as you please. If that is searching for your past people, so be it. If it is to join the Winter's Claw, you may.”
“Do you have a preference for where I go?”
Sejuani didn’t reply, save for a single nod.

Fur Babies
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: Sadness, Fluff, Dean being cute, 15x20 elements (no death, just Miracle), AU (If anything, I did a type of rewrite to 15x20 where Dean lives)
Summary: After a long day at work, Dean is ready to crash with his girl and his dog Miracle. But comes home to a very upset reader and Miracle doesn’t know what do? Dean’s solution, more fur babies.
Word Count: 833
Mobile Masterlist
a/n: this is for @supernatural-jackles, who just lost her dog, Poppy. So, I thought I’d take a crack at making her something pure of fluffiness and fur baby cuteness. Jen, I hope this helps.
~
The drive in baby from the garage was just the same as any other. But Dean could have sworn more people were out and about on the road at this hour.
As his house was drawing near, the anticipation of seeing his favorite people and his favorite dog Miracle.
He pulled up into the driveway, pushing the button on his remote to the garage door opener but not parking the car in the garage just yet.
Putting the key into the door, he could hear Miracle barking and whining. Opening the door to the sight of y/n crying, and Miracle running up to her, running around in circles away from her.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Dean asked, concerned. “What’s got you crying?”
“Mom called me, my dog, my childhood dog passed away.” She cried.
“I’m sorry sweetheart, how old was he?” Dean asked.
He walks around the island in the kitchen and brings her into his arms for a big hug.
“He was 13.”
“Look at it this way, at least he’s not in anymore pain, and not suffering anymore. If he has been suffering.” Dean says, trying his best to comfort her.
“Yeah, but he was my baby.”
He doesn’t respond, he just holds her close, rubbing his has up and down her back soothing her. They stood like that for a while, until Miracle managed to squeeze between them making them giggle.
“Hi Miracle, I know I have you.” She says, taking the dogs face in her hands petting him. Scratching his ear, under his jaw. Showing him a lot of love.
“I’ll cook us some supper, and we can cuddle on the couch watching your favorite movie, all three of us.” Dean offers.
“Oh, I can’t wait.”
One movie turned into many, going into well past midnight. Y/N fell asleep in Dean’s side, cushioned between him and the backrest of the couch. And Miracle laid on top of Y/N.
Dean wakes up seeing the sight before him. Y/N sound asleep, Miracle laying on top. His head perked up when he noticed Dean move, waking up.
“Shh, boy. Don’t want to wake her.” He whispers.
Y/N stirs, not waking up. Falling into a deep sleep.
Dean realized he was staring, gazing, admiring his girl. This scene before him. A thought came to his mind, might be a crazy one, might bring tears, but he wants to take a chance.
Dean took some time off to work to pull off his surprise. He took Miracle with him to find the perfect match.
There was one puppy at the local shelter that took a liking to Miracle, and Dean. He looked at the puppy and knew Y/N will love her.
On the way home, he bought the food, supplies and even a bed for the puppy so she was well at home. But it was a matter of seeing Y/N’s reaction.
“Angel, come here baby girl.” Dean coaxed the dog over to him when he heard her car pull into the garage. And the key in the door.
The door opening. Dean holding Angel, a sweet, Aussie Shephard mini puppy, and Miracle was by Dean’s feet, wanting to get in on the attention.
Y/N turned around when she sat her purse and keys down, sees Dean holding the puppy. Her eyes lit up.
“Oh my god!” she says, not screaming.
She walks over to Dean, immediately heading to the puppy. “Hi sweetie.” She says scratching under the puppy’s jaw.
“Dean, what got you to do this?” she asked.
“Just figured, we could use an edition to our fur baby family.” Dean says.
“Never thought I’d hear you say fur baby, but it’s so sweet of you Dean.”
“Her name is Angel, she’s a rescue, her mom was a stray she was born in the shelter. When she was born, she wasn’t breathing. Something had happened on the delivery. So, they worked on the puppy, prayed for her. And then, she started to show signs of life. The shelter gave her the name Angel. Figured I wouldn’t change it.” Dean explained. “It suited her.”
“Sure does.”
She smiles big, Dean giving her Angel. Y/N holds her close, kissing her face. “Hi Angel.” She says.
Miracle follows Y/N to the living where she had the puppy sit on her lap. Miracle pops up on the couch.
“You like your sister Miracle?” she asks.
Miracle sniffs Angel, licking her. Getting the puppy riled up for play. Angel hops off of her lap and plays with Miracle. The large dog going easy on the puppy.
Y/N leaned back on the couch, relaxing. Dean leaned against the couch behind Y/N, she turns her head to him. When he turned his head towards her, he was met with a sweet kiss on his lips. He quickly returned the kiss.
“Thank you, Dean, it means a lot.” She says.
“Anything for my girl.”
And they stood by, sat by, watching the dogs play hard. And snuggle together, crashing just as hard.

Old Flames Die Hard (The Mandalorian x reader)
Summary: You've only seen Din Djarin's face once before, when you were younger. Now he shows up at your door looking for shelter, and he can't help but crave your touch.

Your peaceful reading was disturbed by the sound of a firm knock on your door. You look. away from you scrolls, wondering who might be here this early in the morning.
Walking to the front door of your hut, you peek from the hole of the door viewer to check who it was.
A familiar helmet and figure stood on the other side of the door. You inhale sharply because the figure was too familiar.
What could he want from you? After all this time?
You open the door, an inevitable warm smile plastered to your face.
"Hello," you say, keeping your composure straight.
"Hello, (Y/n)," he greets. You could see how tense he becomes. You wish you could see his reaction, his emotions through the helmet, but you know better.
"What are you doing in Takodana?" You ask, tilting your head in curiosity.
So she still has it, Mando thinks to himself, those hypnotic eyes full of wonder. A gaze he had not been able to resist then.
"I need a place to lay low," he tells you. If there was ever a coldness to his voice, it was easing.
"Why—" you start to say, but was interrupted by a small, adorable squeal of a small, pale green child with eyes bigger than his nose and ears longer than his arms.
You knelt down. "Hi, little one," you coo, letting its tiny tridactyl hands curl on your pointer finger. "Where did Mando find you, hm?" You added.
"Are we welcomed inside?" Mando asks, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. You lifted the infant, rocking him gently in your arms.
You nod. "Of course. Come in."
-
You lay the child on a bed of fur, making sure he is comfortable. When you pull your arms away from the child, it let out a high-pitched noise. It didn't want you to go.
You shush him attentively. "It's okay," you say quietly, "I am not leaving, I will be right here."
Even with your back facing Mando, you could feel his piercing stare.
When the child yawned and relaxed, you let him rest. You take a seat on a table not far from him, where Mando was sitting across from you.
"So," you cross you arms on your chest, "Why are you running this time?"
"The child is a bounty," he tells you.
"Ah," you say, leaning back on your chair. "You helped him escape?"
He nods.
To an extent, knowing Mando rescued this child restored your faith in him. You shake your head, letting out a cynical chuckle. "This is why I am a bounty hunter no more."
"What are you now?" He asks. For the first time since he got here, you can hear that he still cares.
"A scholar," you answer lightly. "I teach travelers now."
He nods again, but does not answer with words.
"Tell me more, Mando," you start to say, "about what you've been up to."
And he does just that for the next hour or so. You listen intently, lost in his tales of exciting adventures.
-
You excuse yourself to your room, telling him that you needed rest after a long night of reading scrolls. You made it clear that he could knock anytime, and he could sleep to the next room if he wanted to.
You lay on the bed, trying to rest.
You could not. Not with the Mandalorian out there. Too many memories, good and bad, about him, and with him.
After fifteen minutes, you heard a knock on the door.
You sit up immediately, "Come in."
The door creaks open, and Mando steps in. A full second passed before you stood up, and it was easily the longest second of your life.
"The child is asleep," he states. His voice slightly falters, revealing the possibility of a hidden intention.
You step closer to him, until there is so little space between the two of you, not even a scroll could fit in the middle.
You both know neither of you could hold back the unspoken silence. After all, you can't just pretend that what happened between the two of you never happened.
"What are you thinking?" He asks, his voice quivering.
You have tried to be strong, but now a pearl-like tear slid down your face. You let your arm rest on his beskar helmet, where the line of his jaw would be. "Just curious," you manage to say, "of how you've changed. How you look like now, Din."
At the mention of his birth name, his breathing hitched. As far as he was concerned, you were the only one alive who knew his name, aside from the creed.
Years ago, the night before you left the guild, you were faced with a similar situation.
You told him you were going to leave. He met you in your quarters, and there, he had given you permission to lift his helmet off his head.
You had admired him. The first and only time you saw him, you noticed how beautiful he was, strong and mature features with a boyish smile. At that point, you were convinced the Maker accidentally made an angel in the place of a human.
You kissed him that night, all tongue and teeth clashing in desperation, and you had taken him to your bed, to have one last night with him. Limbs tangled and fingers entwined, he had declared his love to you, and you did, too. Neither you nor him regretted it. The only thing you wish you could do was take him with you when you escaped the guild. You left the day after, with a heavy heart and a memory that was damn near impossible to forget.
He was an old flame that died hard.
Only for you, he had broken his vow.
You had kept it a secret since.
You have to make sure it stayed a secret, or the Mandalorians will not let his put his helmet back on.
Now, his hands are on either side of his helmet. He slowly slides it up. "Why don't you find out?" He asks, almost taunting, challenging.
Before he could lift his helmet too far off, you gently brought both your hands over his, and pulled the steel dome back down.
"No," you let out a ghostly whisper. "Don't."
"Do you not lov— want me anymore?" His voice shatters. That's how you know that he is as heartbroken as you. "Is there someone else?" He asks, his voice straining.
"No," you say. The dam behind your eyes broke, tears dropping off your chin. It wasn't crying, no. It was the beginning of a desolate sobbing that came from a person who had built a wall over their emotions. "There has never been anyone but you, Din. There will never be."
He pushed his gloves off, the metal pieces carelessly clanging to the floor. His calloused fingers wiped your tears away, rubbing circles on your skin. "Then I ask for your permission to do this once again."
You step back, and his hand falls back hopelessly to his sides.
"I want to," you whisper, only barely audible, "But I will not. For your sake. I will not let you break your vow again."
"You did not mind when you held me that night, in Navarro." His voice is now softer, defeated. He will not ask again, if you do not wish to, but he had to know why.
You hold his hand. You step forward again, this time the gesture was more certain. "We were young. I did not understand what the Mandalorians meant back then. I am a scholar, Din. I learn, especially from my mistakes," Gently, you kisse his palm. It's a show of affection, and Din let you.
By any means, you did not think he was a mistake. The night you spent wasn't a mistake either. The mistake was simply your lack of experience. Your lack of knowledge.
You continue, "I did not respect the Mandalorians enough, then. I did not respect you enough. I do now."
He moves his hand, and you let it wander your facial features.
His hand moves to your hair. He unties your headband, a piece of cloth that held your locks together. You hair spill on over your eyes, and he tucks them behind your ears.
Oh, you thought to yourself.
Your mouth opened a little, realizing his intentions. His finger went under your chin, lifting it up. "Do you know what I'm about to do?"
He asks, his voice as coarse as sand.
"Yes," you admit.
"Would you let me?"
"Yes."
"Do you trust me?" He asks one last time.
You have never been more certain, "Yes."
Slowly, but surely, he covers your eyes with the cloth of your headband. He tied a knot on the back of your head, not too tight to hurt you, but tight enough so it wouldn't fall off.
He was a smart man, and still is.
"Can you see?" He asks.
"No," you reply honestly. Almost breathless, you thank the Maker that the questions he's been asking doesn't need more than a one-word answer at a time.
"Can I take my helmet off now?"
"Yes," you sigh. You can hear him taking it off and you assumed he laid it on the floor.
You gasp when you felt your lips against his, cold and desperate. Isolated, almost. You could feel the relief in his touch. He cups your cheeks, pulling you up towards him. What he looked like, you did not care. You know that this is him, at the fact alone is enough. It was the same person you made love to all those years ago. You know because you remember every waking moment of it.
You let the kiss become feverish and heated, placing your hand blindly on his shoulders and around his neck. You did not need to see him to know that he was smiling against your lips, that his cheeks was just as soaked with tears as yours.
Low groans unintentionally flutter out of his mouth, music to your ears.
Your hands make their way to his cheeks, caressing the rough skin. Stripped of your sight, you trail you fingers on his cheekbones and jawline to get a sense of what he looks like now.
He pulls apart from the kiss, and you manage to hold on to his shoulders for support. You felt his hot breath against your temple, and you shiver because of it.
"Are you sure you want this?" He asks, hopeful but uncertain. His voice is clear now, unmodulated and raw. Easier to read.
"I want this. You, Din," you whisper, raspy words dripping in desperation, "please."
Gently, his hands dance to your hips, gently squeezing it. He steps forward, pushing you until you feel your blanket and bed on the back of your feet.
He drags the invisible weight off your shoulders, making you sit down on your bed.
You let go of him for a split second, feeling lost in the dark. Then, you hear the unmistakable clutter of beskar on the floor. Piece by piece, he placed it on the ground, his adrenaline pumping from the sight of you attentively waiting for his to strip himself off his heavy armor.
When the soft metallic noises stop and you felt his hands on your waist, you knew he was done. His hands went to your fabric belt, the only thing that held your robe together. Untying it, he pushes the article clothing off, until you were completely bare to him.
"My love." He pressed a kiss on your forehead, mouth trailing down to your nose, then to your lips. This time he doesn't hesitate, and he knocks the air straight out of your lungs. You return it with just as much passion, encouraging him to come closer.
He opens his mouth, and you feel his tongue brush on yours, fiery and longing. He pushed even further, and you let him, until your the crown of your head hits the soft pillow beneath. You can feel him hover, shifting half of his weight on you. You let his mouth leave kisses down your neck, biting once in a while as he goes.
It was hard to think of him as a battle-hardened bounty hunter now that he was over you, peppering loving kisses, making sure you were taken care of.
Your hands travel you his curly locks. You massage his scalp, tugging ever so slightly. You imagine his chestnut hair, the same color you've seen before, maybe with a few grey hairs given by time.
"Din," you manage to say, "Please. I can't take it anymore."
You feel him lick a stripe from your collarbone to your jawline, nipping at your skin. "Patience, my love," he mutters in your ear, pressing his teeth to you earlobe.
You shudder, heart thumping faster than your ribcage can handle.
You drag your hands down, raking his bare back. Caving into his touch, you feel your heat pooling between your legs.
You bite your lip instinctively, holding a moan. He does not say anything, but you knew it drove him crazy.
His hand rub on your lips, and you take advantage by pressing your tone on the pad of his finger.
"You're as beautiful as I remember," he admits. He sounds a bit sad.
He should've gone to find you sooner. If he could turn back time, that was the only thing he'd change.
You reply with a long purr.
His left palm runs down, squeezing your hips.
"No need for foreplay?" He asks, and you swear you could hear a hint of amusement in his voice, perhaps to cheer himself up. He probably noticed how wet you were, how submissive and desperate.
"No," you yelp, feeling his length against your core, "Just make love to me."
He takes the consent, sliding his cock into you. You mewl, trying your best to steady yourself, hands holding on to his back. He moves when you beg him to, rapidly slamming into you. It was slow at first, but your otherworldly moans encourage him to go faster.
His legs tangled with yours, he rocks up and down, providing counter-resistance. His rhythm ends you into cloud nine, sultry and irresistable. His hips move in a figure-8 motion, his pubic bone stimulating your bundle of nerves with explosive friction.
His breath was as heavy as yours. His lips latch on your shoulder, burying his neck into your shoulder. He does this to suppress his filthy moans so he doesn't wake the child. You, on the other hand, was forced to bite your lip, swallowing your groans.
"Din," you whisper, tone going up in pitch.
"I know, I know," he licks the shell of your ear, "Come with me."
His voice undid you, becoming the catalyst of your long-awaited satisfaction.
He rides your high, coming only a few seconds later. His heavy moans turning fulfilled breathing.
He drops to the space next to you, your back pressed to his chest, his hands secured around your waist, you own hands on top of them, rubbing comforting circles.
The blindfold on you is still tightly wrapped, not losing its integrity at all. Frankly, you don't mind. You did not have to see him to enjoy his company. That's how much you trust him.
"Promise me," you say, your voice only barely audible, "that this is not the last time."
"I promise," he hums, his nose affectionately pressed into your hair.
You did not need to hear him say 'I love you' to know that he does.

(Headcanon) Super Fluff!: Benimaru, Obi, Hinawa, Karim x Reader As a Cat
What your life as a cat would be like if your owner was Benimaru, Obi, Hinawa, or Karim.
Original Request:
Tumblr media
A/N: I made this as fluffy as I could XD Reader is a different kitten for each one. :)
Benimaru
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How you met:
-He was sitting out on the patio in the backyard of the guardhouse, taking a break from filling out boring paperwork while snacking on some fresh mochi.
-He was about to take another bite when he heard something rustling in the bushes and paused to look over towards the tall wooden fence.
-He could hear something faintly meowing, as he leaned forward and squinted his eyes.
-You had wandered in from your owner’s yard, which happened to be home to the same grandma that had made him the mochi.
-That’s when he saw a small fluffy ball of half-light grey and half white fur, crawl out from underneath the bushes.
-When he called her over to take you back home, she said that her son had recently gotten you after getting married, but it turned out his wife was allergic to cats and had no choice but to look for a new owner.
-The grandma said she was simply too old and frail to take care of a cat, and had insisted that Benimaru was somehow destined to be the one to take care of you.
Random Facts:
-At first, he liked being left alone in peace and quiet when duty wasn’t calling him, and actually wasn’t too keen on keeping something that would keep nagging in his ear for attention.
-But to his surprise, you were actually a good nap buddy.
-Whenever he would lie down to get some shut eye, you would quietly circle around your spot once, before curling into a ball and cuddling up against his side or climbing onto his chest, sometimes letting out the occasional yawn before you closed your eyes and drifted off together.
-He also thinks it’s cute how you stretch out your arms and limbs after waking up, and he’ll actually ask you if you had a good nap.
-If you did: You’d meow, and he’ll pat your fur from the middle of your forehead down to your tail.
-If you didn’t: You’d let out another yawn, and he’ll tell you to go back to sleep with him.
-Both of you like it when he lets you crawl into his haori, riding shotgun to wherever he has to go next (that is kitten safe of course).
-You guys played hide-n-seek once and he got worried when he turned the entire guardhouse upside down and still couldn’t find you.
-You actually fell asleep in the laundry basket when Konro found you.
-That’s how you ended up with a little golden bell dangling from the middle of your light blue collar.
-He thinks that dried cat food is like eating dried rabbit poop (idk how he knows this), and that wet cat food smells like spoiled fish.
-So he has Konro make your daily meals with only the freshest and healthiest ingredients for his, “little princess.” (He named you “princess” but only adds the ‘little,’ when you’re both alone, because everyone else would guarantee not to let him hear the end of it if they did.)
-He likes feeding you the juicy and sweet strawberries from the center of his daifuku, to which you happily oblige.
-He likes staring at you while playing with your ears.
Obi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How you met:
-Despite how he looked, he was more of a cat person.
-He was at the local pet store to pick up more food for his pet goldfish when he saw you speeding around the other cats in a game of tag, in the little playpen the store’s owner had set up near the entrance.
-He liked how this adorable creamsicle-furred kitten was so carefree and happily playing around with its friends.
-You were like the little ball of energy he needed in his mundane bachelor life.
Random Facts:
-He likes how your brightly colored fur looks even more orange in the sunlight.
-He got you an orange colored collar to match the color of your fur and the fact that you liked the smell of oranges.
-You like it when he feeds you wedges of sweet tangerines from time to time.
-He named you “mittens” because of your fluffy white paws.
-You like sitting on his stomach or on top of the barbell when he’s working out.
-He got you your very own cat wheel so you work out with him.
-He always buys you the newest cat toys.
-You like riding on top of the Roomba when it’s vacuum day.
-You like it when he takes you to work with him because Shinra and Maki are the only ones besides Obi, that can keep up and play with you until it’s time to go home.
-You like bathing in the sunlight while he’s out on the front yard or at the beach, trying to get his tan on.
-He’s actually pretty good at skateboarding, and you like riding between his feet on the board.
-He’s trying to get you to ride with him on a surfboard, but you don’t see that happening any time soon.
-You earned the nickname “speed racer,” from the time you were running around the office and zoomed across all the desks, sending the paperwork flying all over the place.
-Both of you like it when you’re both at home sitting on the sofa and he puts on a good action movie.
-Both of you agree that the “Rush Hour” movie series, are your favorite movies to watch over and over again.
Hinawa
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How you met:
-Your previous owners had turned infernals and sadly died when company seven was the ones to put them to rest.
-Hinawa rescued you from your burning home.
-You were feeling scared, lonely, and sad as Hinawa carried you out; and the way you looked up at him with your big round eyes, he couldn’t bear to give you up to the local animal shelter.
Random Facts:
-He named you “angel” because of the disaster you miraculously survived, and because of your pure white fur.
-Hinawa lets you pick your collar for the day, between either the white or pink one, both with a small metal heart hanging from the middle.
-He was patient with letting you adjust to him and your new home.
-He actually took a week off from work to spend time with you.
-You loved the smell of the delicious food he would cook both at home and at work, and had your own designated space on the counter so you could watch.
-He would place your homemade cat-friendly food in the pretty dishes he had bought for you.
-He would always say that, “taste is half the battle, the other half is presentation.”
-You like crawling under his hats and walking around with them.
-You like crawling around his paperwork and keyboard when he looks like he could use a break.
-He sighed at first, but found it cute how you walked into the stamp pad filled with black ink, and left your paw prints all over the place.
-He likes uploading photos onto the company website, of just you, or with small random objects on your head.
-Both of you like it when you nap on his lap while he’s reading manga at home or at a manga café that allows pets.
-If they don’t, he’ll try to sneak in with you under his hat, claiming it’s a hat that happens to look like a cat is sleeping under it.
Karim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How you met:
-His neighbor’s cat had given birth, and he went there with the intention of only dropping off some blankets he no longer needed.
-He kneeled down to spread them out onto the ground, when a new born kitten with fur that looked like a caramel mocha latte, shakily crawled towards him with its eyes still closed.
-“Aww, I think she likes you.” Karim wasn’t the best with animals, completely disagreeing with the owner’s statement; when you decided to crawl onto his lap, and meowed so preciously.
-He sat like an ice sculpture not knowing what to do, when the owner scooped you up in her hands and showed Karim how to hold you.
-When you licked his face and purred as he held you, he was in kitty love.
Random Facts:
-He took FOREVER trying to come up with your name.
-The old man that was in charge of engraving a pet’s name on their collar at the pet store, said it was confusing if Karim kept repeating the same name on the collar, and because 20 letters would no way fit.
-He finally settled on “brownie,” because of the color of your furred patches.
-He bought you a grayish-blue collar because it matched the color of his hair, and added a little sparkly star accessory to your collar.
-He asked the veterinarian almost a 100 questions because he had no idea of how to take care of a cat.
-He isn’t as nervous as a wreck as he was before with taking care of you.
-After a few years, you were just the right size to crawl from one of his shoulders to the other, and settled on sitting on his head.
-He could watch you run around his room all day.
-Both of you like it when he lets you lie down on his pillow, as you curl into the crook of his neck, and he turns on some soft music for you.
-Though he can’t feed you chocolate like your namesake, he’ll feed you frozen berries and thinks it’s cute how some of the juice from the berries got on parts of your white fur; making you look like a “berried kitty berry.”
-Captain Burns has a big soft spot for you, and likes to play with you when he should be working.

Dutchess… Straight from the groomer… Damaged matted fur gone… Here she is, happy with her new pals. Showing off her new do. There is a chance I will get to see her on the outside this coming week. Big thanks to all the networkers. All the rescues who considered… All the volunteers. And to @bubblesdogrescue who officially pulled her. Memorial items. + I've taken up macramé. More under cut, cw for animal death.
Last week I went to Ohio to visit with some family. Ohio is where my grandmother's grave so when we visited her I decided to make and bring an angelite stone. Angels were always something she loved, she always had angel statues and art. I think that's part of why I love angels so much as well. We also went to St. Patrick's church which has stunning architecture and so much iconography. I lit a candle for my grandmother there as well. I haven't really shared this many places but-- Last year a dog showed up where I worked. He was emaciated and scared. After letting me and cowokers pet him and feed him, they helped him into my car and I drove him home. I've put everything I've had into him, emotionally and financially. His name was Gunther. He was my baby boy and I love him so, so much. Me and my family moved a couple months ago, and that's when he started to become aggressive. We couldn't single out a specific trigger, besides that he was likely resource guarding me. I was the one who was the most affectionate and comforted him so became defensive of me. Even after having a trainer intervene and work with us, his behavior continued and he was unpredictable. Some days he was totally fine, and then others you could tell something was off and he had a far away look in his eyes. After searching and searching with no results for a rescue or anyone at all to take over care of him I found the last place which would give him a fighting chance. There is a shelter here that takes surrenders on special cases. I believe part of Gunther's issues stemmed from abuse from his previous owners, but we also never found who they where. He flinched a lot when we first took him in and he was always extremely sensitive to loud sounds. He took a long time to adjust to anything new- people or environments. With no change in his aggression we surrendered him. After two weeks at the shelter we got a call that same thing happened. Gunther had been doing wonderful, he was affectionate and everyone loved him. He got along well with other animals. Until he suddenly started showing aggression. They ultimately decided he could not be rehabilitated. I know they worked closely with him and put so much time and love into him just like I had. We went in the next day to visit him and he was so, so happy to see us. We ran and played I got to pet him and give him so many treats. I gave him all my love one last time. The trainer and vet techs cried with us as they did it. I know they loved him too even in the short time they were with him. That's just how he was, one look at his smile and he had your heart. People always stopped us to me how beautiful he was and what a smile he has. He was only four years old. I wish I knew how to help him. I've been crying every day since then and I want nothing more than to hold him and hug him and pet him and tell him it's okay. To kiss his wet nose and hold his ears and hear his claws patter on the floor and have him run the pantry every time I open the door to ask for a treat and take him for walks every morning and night he just deserved so much better Gunther was the sweetest dog I ever met until he wasn't and I couldn't figure out how to help him.
I macramé'd three citrine stones. One for me, one for my mom, and one for Gunther- which they let him wear to be cremated. I will not be able to get his ashes. He remains with through photos, stale treats still sitting in the pantry, and a dog bead covered in yak cheese crumbles that has to be washed before being donated.
When I went to see him that day his fur darker, badger spots showing through. He didn't smell the same. He always smelled like a puppy and now he didn't.
