copium: freminets demo is much shorter bc he'll have more archon quest relevance or at least an event/hangout bc hoyo usually tells A Lot abt 4 stars in their demos if theyre not as important to the archon quest

★~ Genshin fontaine men cuddle headcanons!
HELLOOO im so sorry i didn’t upload last week T-T i was packing for a trip, i just got back from the trip hehee.. anyway this will include all of the men fronm fontaine, so please enjoyyyy!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
★~Wriothesley: cuddling with wriothesley is like cuddling your personal teddy bear! he is too a body heater. you could say he likes being the big spoon more. but on a gloomy day for him, he prefers to be the small spoon. you both ALWAYS cuddle before sleep. even of you’re fast asleep first, he’ll cuddle you in your sleep. or when it’s a cold rainy day, you’ll cuddle on the couch with blanket cpvering the both of you and halfway finished hot cocoa on the table infront. you often put your head on his chest or shoulder when you’re cuddling and he loves it. he could be a go-to pillow actually. he always does this habit of inhaling your scent and caressing your hair while whispering sweet praises. hug him as much as you want, he pays no mind! he’s such a sweetheart honestly. he wants to keep you safe during the night.
★~Neuvillete: YOUR LOVELY OTTERRRR! he’ll caress your head and put his arms around your waist when you’re sleeping, just like a mother otter! he’s a protective one, you won’t be turning and tossing around in your sleep as he’s locked you in his arms. before sleep, he would cover your face in kisses while you giggle from its tickling sensation. he would tell you one of his story too so you’ll get bored a sleepy (he knows what he’s doing). if you wake up at night from a nightmare, he’ll be sure to make you safe. you’ll be tucked under the blanket, face burried in his chest and hand holding his. on a rare night, he would vent while you be the big spoon. you’ll try to calm his crying as it’s raining outside. he’ll curl while you caress his head, whispering comforting and reassuring words to him.
★~Lyney: WELL… i’d say he’s soft but maybe some other time he’s like… IT’S LIKE HE’S SQUISHING YOU. he’ll wrap his arm around you and squeeze you tight like you’re a baby kitten or something. he’ll pinch your cheek before kissing it then continue hugging you TIGHTLY. you did tell him ‘not too tight’ but well- i guess sometimes he forgot. you guys take turn to be the small and big spoon. if he’s the small spoon, he like to sleep on ur chest or tummy. he likes to move when he’s asleep. when you both wake up, you would find your legs tangled upon eachother and his or your arms on eachother face. if you’re sick, he would REALLYYY want to cuddle you, but lynette told him it’s best if not (booooo). even so, he read you a story so you’ll go to sleep while imagining the story and forgetting the sickness.
★~Freminet: HE LOVEEEES CUDDLES! he would be a bit shy to ask for cuddles but as time pass, he would warm up more and ask you for cuddle everynight and after you wake up. he’s such a sweetheart that he couldn’t pass the day without a cuddle from you! he loves being the small spoon. but you both often just cuddle like normal. he always put his arms around your waist and the other caressing your cheek. he’ll hum a lullaby for you and you’ll hum it together with him too. he loves it when you caress his head, it makes him feel sleepy. in the morning, after you both wake up and still feeling lazy, he would wrap his arms around your waist and kiss you a goodmorning while going back to cuddling you just like last night. he loves it when you caress his head. perhaps his penguin buddy could join in too!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

─⊰⊹ฺ✿𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟 ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕔𝕒𝕟𝕠𝕟𝕤⊰⊹ฺ✿─
A/n: Double post today because I have wanted to post this for days now! Super fluffy! Slight kiss stealing mentioned!
Requests/asks open!
{༻~Pocky challenge in fontaine~༺}
(Includes: Lyney, Navia, Freminet, Lynette, Neuvillette, and Clorinde!)
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
𑁍༄Lyney:
Lyneys bright lavender eyes were trained on you, or more rather the pocky stick that hung slightly out of your mouth, dangling in front of him and tempting him to take a bite. Surely you wouldn't mind if it was just one little taste...he thought, as he leaned in closer to you, his movement making you turn towards him in curiosity. Your faces suddenly just inches away from eachother, causing a blush to spread across your face while he smiled mischievously and started to nibble away at the other end of your pocky stick.
Getting closer and closer to you with each stolen bite, your heart absolutely racing as he got to the part that was at the cusp of your mouth. You could feel his lips against yours for just a split second, his eyes shining with victory as he pulled away...leaving you absolutely flustered.
𑁍༄Navia:
When Navia had originally offered to buy you a pack of pocky, you didn't have any ulterior motives, you were just kinda hungry...and yet the second the box of delicious chocolate covered sticks made its way into your hand...you couldn't help but think of sharing them in the most romantic way possible. "Navia, want to share my pocky with me? Theres this challenge I've always wanted to try and since we are partners I want to try it with you first." You said casually, your heart skipping a beat as her golden yellow eyes met yours and that oh so sweet smile flashed into view.
"Of course! What's the challenge?" Her voice was sugary sweet like honey and the thought of possibly getting a kiss from someone so kind made your face blush, "We both start at one end of the pocky, taking bits till one of us reaches the middle first or pulls away." Her face blushed slightly as you spoke, her cheeks a soft pink as she nodded waiting patiently for you to offer the pocky and begin.
"Chocolate or stick?" You asked nervously, holding the pocky up to her while your heart started to beat harder in your chest. "Hmmm chocolate!" She gently took the pocky from you, putting the chocolate side in her mouth and leaning in so you could reach the other end, the two of you taking small bites till the tips of your noses were touching. Your faces each flashing red as you closed the gap, the sweet taste of chocolate on your lips as the two of you pulled away.
𑁍༄Freminet:
(I use the nickname Fremmy here...its cute okay!)
"Hi Fremmy! Whatcha working on?" You asked with a smile, leaning in slightly to see some type of mechanical machine, Freminets hands busy putting the pieces together like a puzzle only he could understand. "Oh hello...it's a prop for Lyney and Lynettes magic show, I... can't tell you exactly what for though. I'm...sworn to secrecy." He pulled away from his work table, a light blush on his face as he let you exam his newest creation...and despite looking at it for a couple minutes...you had absolutely no idea what it was.
"Well it looks cool whatever it is..., anyways! Remember how you said you'd never had pocky before? Well I got some and I was thinking we could do that challenge I told you about." You held up the box of sweets for him, watching as his light blush deepened to a dark red colour and he looked away shyly, "I-i...um. O-okay." You giggled as you opened the packaging, holding the pocky for him to take, chocolate side pointed in his direction.
"Remember the rules?" He nodded as he put the candy in his mouth, letting you have the other side while his heart pounded in his chest...but before you could even take a second bite..he pulled away out of nervousness, apologizing profusely and congratulating you on your easy win. In the end you sat down beside him on a nearby couch, sharing the sticks between the two of you the normal way while he talked about future inventions.
𑁍༄Lynette:
"You want to...try the pocky challenge with me?" Lynettes monotone voice had the slightest hint of curiousity, her violet eyes on the box of treats you'd gotten only moments earlier and her face ever so lightly pink, she had never tried the challenge before and the idea of sharing the new experience with you...was like a magic wish come true. "Mhm! Do you want the coated side or the stick?" You asked holding the pocky out for her to examine, ultimately she choose the breadstick side watching you intently as you put the chocolate end in your mouth.
Before you could properly take a bite she was at the other end, munching away rhythmically at a incredibly fast pace, till before you knew it her face was right up against yours, your eyes meeting hers your cheeks turned bright red. Her soft lips grazed yours as she took the final bite, pulling away with a small satisfied smile. "Seems I won...I enjoy this game. Shall we try again?"
𑁍༄Neuvillette:
Neuvillette was silent, his cheeks ever so lightly pink as you explained the rules of the pocky challenge, the hidden truth of it clear as day. He knew that if he agreed to said challenge, he could end up receiving a kiss from you and the thought of such a beautiful thing made his heart skip a beat, but...would he be able to stop himself at just one? Perhaps it would be better to decline...and ask for a kiss instead, then his motives would be clear at least...
"Neuvillette?" You smiled, patiently waiting for his response, unaware of the slight dilemma he was having with himself. "Apologies, I was lost in thought...I suppose a challenge would be alright, as long as everything is legal." His eyes met yours as you giggled happily, handing him the chocolaty dessert and watching in excitement as he put the coated end in his mouth, his blush darkening with each moment.
You took the breadstick part in your mouth, nibbling away at it slowly and savouring it's yummy flavour on your tongue as your heart rate increased, your face growing warmer as you got closer and closer to him. With only the smallest bit of pocky left between the two of you, you paused waiting to see what he'd do next and humming in delight as he took the last bite, closing the gap. Your lips touched for just a moment and just as he had expected, it wasn't enough...his hands holding your face as he kissed you again...preferring you over the candy.
𑁍༄Clorinde:
Clorinde sighed quietly, unsure wether to agree to share your snack with you...and possibly end up in a situation that would leave her blushed and quite possibly falling even harder for you or to disagree and play it safe, but always wonder if she should have said yes. Eventually her violet eyes met yours, her brows turned down slight as if she was annoyed, "I agree to your challenge, but I do hope you know...I'll show no mercy. As a champion duelist I take no challenge lightly."
"Yay! Do you want the chocolate end of the pocky or the breadstick part? I'm fine with either." You held up your snack for her, watching curiously as she examined it carefully, as if it could possibly be poisoned...even though you'd already eaten some of them. "I'll take the part without chocolate, thank you." You nodded in response, cheerfully putting the chocolate side in your mouth and wiggling the stick in front of her while she raised a eyebrow at you.
She leaned in, taking small bites of the pocky and finding it rather difficult to concentrate on the treat itself as she became acutely aware of how close your face was to hers. The gap growing smaller as you both ate away at the yummy treat, until your noses were touching and she took the last bite, pulling away so quickly that you were still left in the same stance in shock. "I win." She said quietly, her face blushed red and her lips touched with a bit of melted chocolate,...
"How about 2 outta 3?"

"Meeting Father"
☆Prompt: Suspicion has been arising about you ever since you were determined to go to Fontaine with your 'Father' and she eventually figures out the truth behind your behaviour, wanting to meet the cause of it.
☆Warnings: Arlecchino scaring Navia, Navia being flirty, wholesome moments between you and the twins and Freminet and Arlecchino.
☆Side note: Reader is the oldest child in the house of Hearth and the heir to it.
Tumblr media
In the Zapolyarny Palace, sat Arlecchino in her office, her oldest daughter, bowing slightly towards her in a way of showing respect.
"Tartaglia is imprisoned in Fontaine and the Tsaritsa wants you to retrieve him, Father."
"That idiot always seems to get himself in trouble and others have to pull him out," Arlecchino sighed, "but nonetheless, it's the order of the Tsaritsa. I trust that you'll be okay here without me."
"Actually Father, may I come with you?"
She raised her eyebrows at your request. "Why is that? You may lift your head now."
You gulped nervous before raising your head. "Well, it's been a while since I've visited my... home and uh... I haven't seen the twins and Freminet in a while."
"What if Columbina needs you?"
"I've already spoken to her and she said it's fine."
"What if the Tsaritsa needs you?"
"She also said it's fine."
"You're quite determined to go. Are you sure there's nothing else?"
"No father. I'm sure."
She hummed in acknowledgement before agreeing. You beamed with joy but quickly regained your composure, not wanting to give away the real reason behind your visit. She dismissed you and told you to pack your bags as she got ready to leave. Arlecchino wore a thick white coat, with black fur adorning the neckline.
You were getting dressed in your room when Arlecchino walked in, and placed a coat over your shoulders. "It's going to get cold. Besides, I think it's time you wear this." She offered a small smile and helped you put the coat on. As her oldest, you tend to see sides she's never shown to anyone before and she confides in you to keep them all a secret.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, Arlecchino standing by your side. "In a few years time, you'll be standing here with your little one as I am standing with mine." A slight red tainted your cheeks as she mentioned it, making your thoughts trail to someone.
Meanwhile in Fontaine, Navia sat with Clorinde, both of them enjoying a cup of coffee; well Clorinde enjoying the coffee. "She hasn't responded to any of my letters. Can you believe that?! She can't be cheating on me right?"
Clorinde spat out her coffee at the mention of You cheating on Navia. "Navia calm down. Y/n could never cheat on you. I'm sure she's busy."
"Busy doing what?!"
"Why are you shouting at me?"
"I'm sorry..." Navia sighed sadly and sat down. She was suddenly approached by the twins.
"Good evening ladies," Lyney took off his hat and bowed.
"Hey there guys."
"Hello."
"My sister and I came to invite you to our magic show tonight. It's going to be a grand one, so don't miss it!"
"My apologies but I won't be able to make it tonight."
"It's all good miss Clorinde. And you miss Navia?"
"Oh I'll come! It's not like I have anything better to do anyways."
Lyney and Lynette shared a look with each other. They knew about Navia's relationship with that unknown person. "Lover struggles," Lynette sighed. Lyney chuckled nervously and patted Navia on the back as she slouched on the table and whined.
Night rolled around rather quickly and the twins heard the news that their father was coming to Fontaine but what they didn't know what that their big sister was also coming. The show went on and it was spectacular. The twins did an amazing job as always. Navia had a backstage pass and she watched them with a smile on her face, Lyney's radiant smile reminds her of her lover's own.
Getting lost in her own thought, Navia didn't realise that someone was hugging her until she felt their hot breath against her neck as they whispered, "Missed me?"
She turned around and her eyes immediately brightened. "Y/n!" Jumping into the arms of her lover was a must, she held onto you tightly.
"When did you arrive here?! I missed you so much!" You felt tears hit your neck and you felt guilty, knowing why she was crying.
"I'm sorry I didn't respond to you. I wanted to surprise you."
"Well you're surprised worked okay," she chuckled with tears in her eyes. You wiped them away before gently pressing your lips onto hers. The kiss lasted for about thirty seconds until she pulled away.
"Wait how did you know where to find me? How do you know about this show?"
"Well you se-"
"Big sister y/n!" You turned around and immediately opened your arms for the twins. Lyney ran into your arms and you picked him, hugging him tightly. You pulled lynette into a gentle hug before kissing them both of the forehead.
"Does this mean father is here?"
"Yep. You're presence is required at her office. Go on, I'll catch up and hey, don't tell Father about me and Navia." Lyney and Lynette nodded and they ran off.
When you returned your attention back to Navia, she looked stunned. "You never told me that Lyney and Lynette are your siblings."
You interwined your fingers together with hers before walking. "Well, we're not related by blood. We come from an orphanage where we were saved by Father. She took us in and watched over us since then. I'm actually the oldest so it makes me the big sister. Have you ever heard of 'The house of Hearth'?"
"I did. Its quite popular in Fontaine."
"Well that's the orphanage."
"The house of Hearth is an orphanage?!"
"Yeah. It's quite shocking isn't it?"
"I can't believe you never told me it."
"I'm sorry. Anyway, how's Clorinde?" You stopped walking when you reached her house.
"She's good, I actually talked to her today."
"Listen, I gotta go now. But I promise I'll spend tomorrow with you."
"Promise?" You nodded before pulling her into a kiss. She wrapped her arms around your neck and pulled you deeper into the kiss as she let out a strangled moan. You pulled away shortly, wiping the saliva off your chin. "I want more than a kiss from you tomorrow," she winked entering her house. You let out a breath. God that woman drove you crazy.
A/n:
I'm gonna write a part 2 to this because it's actually quite long.

Ok ok so I was thinking of this cute scenario w lyney so I wanted to request it from my favourite and best writer on the platform
So lyney x reader where he like kisses reader in public or like after a show and uses his hat to cover them
AAAA SORRY THIS IS JUST- IM JUST OBSSESED W THIS IDEA
Anyways....love you, don't overwork yourself, drink water and eat!!(*ˊᗜˋノノ
🎭 BUBBLING ROSE... lyney
—gn! reader; no tw. tooth rotting fluff lmao
—summary; lyney likes pda, and he likes finales. how about a mix of the both?
Tumblr media
Sundays were most often than not times of pandemonium; children free from restrictions of school and studies running around, melusines stretching out when the clouds covered the sun, the adults sharing their week over tea and lovers throwing letters over fences.
Needless to say, this day was also Lyney's favourite when it came to organising a magic show.
What better day to make others smile and relax than at the end of the week, when even his dearest brother Freminet can take time off from his duties and join the audience and smile gently as he saw Lyney make his favourite flowers out of fireworks.
And well, when his other dearie has some time to take off from their busy schedule as well and can just sit back and witness him play his magic; finger coursing swiftly along the pack of cards as he formed one beautiful pattern after another, his gaze fixating on you as you smiled mischievously and he lost balance, the cards coming down.
'Mr. Magician!', a child shouted from the front row, voice laced with grief over the lost sense of wonder while Lyney gasped dramatically.
'Oh no! An evil demon has possessed me!', he said, and passed you a look as he smiled and turned his gaze to the child once again before sighing, the usual drama queen. Lynette stared at her brother then at you, and then gave you a thumbs up as you waved back.
'Well, well. Looks like I have to pull my ace card then!', and he suddenly pulled a rose out of nowhere, and then blew at it, bubbles arising from the soft petals while the crowd stared in awe, eyes widening in shock over the young magician's skill.
'Wowee!', the child shrieked when Lyney handed him the bubbling rose, resisting the urge to laugh when his gaze flickered at you and you pointed at the rose, and then at yourself.
'But that's not the end, my dear audience!', he said and turned around swiftly, his robes swishing behind them in a grand gesture as he strode quickly to the plain box at the very end.
Lyney and Lynette pulled the trolley with the box on it and stopped just before the end of the stage. Lynette opened the now empty box and turned it towards the audience.
'It is empty, isn't it Lynette? Could you please close it and keep it back for me?'
Lynette did as instructed, and Lyney smiled in your direction for a moment before turning once again to the box and tapped it's cover. He held the edges, and then the kids yelled at him in anticipation to open the box while he laughed. And then with a grand gesture as he opened the box—
Flowers of the most vibrant shades of white and grey burst out of the box, covering the whole stage and then the front row audience while you laughed, understanding entirely why he would choose the colour of your eyes to be the colour of those flowers.
A white rose fell on your shoulder, and a small shower of white dahlias followed as you stood up with the audience to clap, gleeful at the flower shower. Lyney bowed modestly before jumping off the stage fancily, and striding through the children as they cheered around him, hands eagerly sticking out from the messy crowd so that he, the celebrity, would shake each one of them.
He gingerly thanked each one of them and smiled at a few people who were looking at him with awe, before indirectly striding to you.
'What are you doing?', you asked, laughing at his antics.
He smirked lightly before taking his hat off as he kissed your knuckles, bowing to you like a gentleman. 'Although I am known not to do any kind of favoritism, I do have a few audience members I quite like, ma/mon chéri(e),'
'Oh? And why so, mon chat?', you asked right back with a smile.
He stood up again and closed the gap between your lips, bringing his hat in front of both of you, creating a wall between you and the audience as he kissed you full on the lips; the crowd cheered, whereas a few more reserved audiences blushed in response, hoping to have the same kind of romance.
He then pulled away, laughing at your twinkling gaze as he wore his hat once again. 'Some audiences help me reach finale, ma/mon amour,'
'Well then, ladies and gentlemen!', Lyney said, taking your hands in his and then smiling at the crowd, 'This has been Lyney and Lynette's magic show!'
'I am standing here though,' Lynette groaned slightly from her place at the stage, glad nonetheless about her brother's joy.
You laughed at the cheesy line, the crowd cheering excitedly at you two whereas the children watched enviously, upset about the fact that he'd shake hands with you but not with them.
'How about you start addressing me with a fixed name, mon chat?'
'Oh? How would ma femme/mon homme sound, then?'
Tumblr media
translation— 'mon/ma cherie', my darling; 'mon/ma chat', my cat; 'mon/ma amour', my love; 'ma femme', my lady/my wife. 'mon homme', my man/my husband.
:o lyney? anyways, tysm plasma! idk about being the best writer here, but thanks for making me your fav<3 your works are quite lovely too! i hope i could deliver what you were hoping for! take care, hope to see you soon <3

A Flower Made of Playing Cards (Lyney x Reader)
Summary: A highschool idol AU commissioned by a very kind and patient anon!
It's mostly inspired by this headcanon post, where Lyney spends his civilian life starting to pine after you (a classmate) while keeping his idol life as 'Felis' a secret.
Content warnings: reader is implied to be at a height where Lyney can spin them under his arm?? That's pretty much it! Still gender neutral as usual
Tumblr media
Preparing for the Stage:
When Lyney was first asked what he wanted to base his idol concept on, he decided on the magic of luck — something unpredictable and frankly, he wouldn’t bet on most of the time — but if a black cat of all things could disguise itself as a charming magician who made dreams come true, Lyney thought that could be the truth threaded within his performances.
His luck in gaining a family as supportive as his own. His luck in being chosen out of many candidates to debut, and…
Suppose a bit of rotten luck could play into his concept too. The kinds where props or staff go missing on the day of his nationwide tour, and miracles come into play to get him out of a tight spot.
But like a cat landing on its feet, Lyney — as Felis — would always come through in the end with a smile.
There is comfort in the mysterious and ethereal. The audience places their faith in idols to remain as an untouchable being, talented and charming till the end; while the idol repeats their tricks and illusions, learning them down to a science of well-orchestrated plans.
With the right people to support him behind the curtains, Lyney is sure there is little he can’t do.
But at the end of the day, Lyney is still just a teenager. And when faced with you, who’d unknowingly puppeteered his heartstrings to skip at the quirk of your lips, eyes crinkling with laughter from your seat a few rows away…
No one said that stars couldn’t fall in love. In fact, the ways they do so might be more beautifully devastating than ever. And Lyney is nothing if not someone who burns as brightly as he shines onstage.
-
On the other side:
You’ve always thought of Lyney as a regular classmate; one who gets along with others but otherwise keeps to himself. And sure, he’s also really cute, but Lyney’s always just been a nice presence to hang around with, especially after you learned he has a knack for magic tricks and was willing to teach you a few, skilled fingers sifting through a deck of cards.
You’re starting to think that Lyney’s not just a friend to you anymore.
Despite your best efforts to keep your feelings at bay, you’re more than aware that the nerves building up in your stomach whenever he’s near spells out a crush. As you get to know him, Lyney’s somehow went from cute to pretty, and you know you're not crazy when you notice his quiet charm shifting into something more extroverted.
There are no seating plans during the breaks between classes — particularly if it’s this week, where your science teacher has packed off to accompany a sports team to a tournament — so you spend the hour finishing your substitute work with Lyney by your side. Except once you’re both done, he takes to scrolling through his phone and showing you the posts on his feed every now and then, and you swear his chair has been shifting closer and closer every minute.
With quiet words, Lyney leans towards you with a quirk to his lips. You wonder if he realizes how dangerous this is to your wellbeing.
“This cafe’s menu is themed after wizards! See the cauldron?”
“Maybe you could get a part-time job there as an entertainer.” You suggest.
Lyney hums. “But I only like to perform magic for my friends. Which totals to three people, including you.”
“Are the other two Lynette and Freminet?”
“Bingo!”
“I don’t know if your sister would be happy to hear that.” She’d probably say he sounds like a loner.
“Nevermind if that makes her cringe — she’s stuck with me anyways. But I’d like to think at least Freminet would be happy.”
“He’s a sweet kid,” You try not to get distracted by Lyney’s hair tickling your shoulder. “Maybe you should take him there with you.”
“Just between us, I think Freminet would be more comfortable if you were there too.” Lyney shrugs, eyes meeting yours with a clarity that tells you this is a genuine offer. “He’s a bit more chatty around you, which is saying a lot.”
“Maybe that’s just because you’re too much for him?”
“Whatever do you mean? I’m nothing if not quiet, introverted, shy…”
“Shy.” You repeat in disbelief. You might’ve believed that once upon a time, but certainly not now. “A shy person wouldn’t offer to teach a stranger how to do card tricks.”
“Maybe I was just enchanted by you.”
“You avoided me unless we were talking about magic.” You remind him, to which Lyney bumps his shoulder against yours with a huff. “Maybe at that time you were a little shy, but I highly doubt you’d be like that towards your brother.”
“I’ve let you talk too much to my siblings…” He’s pouting. “Your impression of me is ruined now.”
“There’d be nothing to ruin you with if you haven’t done anything.” You tap your chin. “Is there another big secret that I should ask them about?”
You don’t notice, but Lyney’s eyes widen before he tears his gaze away from you, trying to stop the blush rising on his cheeks. If he wasn’t sitting so close, he’d probably slap his face to snap out of it.
Which secret? His crush — or idol career?
Just the thought of you knowing about his feelings is enough to make him combust, but the idea of you realizing he was the idol Felis? You’ve already told Lyney you weren’t that interested in idols since they were real people, compared to 2D characters who you could headcanon about to your hearts’ content.
A part of him is relieved this means that if you fell for him, it’d be for himself. But another part feels like it’s a waste of the possibilities floating around his head; what if he surprised you by inviting you to a concert, then watched as the understanding enters your face when he steps onstage? What if he dedicates one of his performances to you, or asks you to sneak out with him after a show?
He’s even wearing just one side of his earphones so there’s an opening to offer you the other; it’s less about the music at this point, and instead the little gestures that tell him he has a chance.
He’d take any interaction if it has to do with you, but only within the safety of his own home would Lyney allow himself to daydream — his imagination causing a burn on his cheeks.
Lynette tells him he’s been reading too many mangas, but an idol can dream. Lyney just hadn’t expected you to become one of said dreams so fast.
-
Rehearsals:
Somehow, practicing how he’d confess to you is harder than any other rehearsal Lyney’s done. Perhaps it’s because he knows he looks like an idiot, speaking to the wall-length mirror after he gave up on Lynette and Freminet as helpers.
…The things he’d like to say to you remain private, anyways. There’s no way Lyney could bring himself to sound so sappy to anyone’s face but yours.
Seeing as it’s off-season, the only idol work Lyney has is related to magazine and advertisements shoots. It’s nothing much compared to when he first did an overseas tour, so he has the chance to steal some time for himself — going for a coffee run after he dons a mask and large sweater, then a cap which hides most of his hair.
Today Lyney had to model for a limited-edition pocky series. It’s strawberry and something-flavored, so the dress and makeup people had the bright idea to add a ribbon to his hair. It’s fanservice, it’s cute, and Lyney doesn’t think much of it seeing as he can’t see himself, until he spots you outside of the cafe where he’s waiting for his order.
He’s always been light on his feet, but Lyney doesn’t think he’s ever ducked into a corner so fast, quieting himself in an attempt to become invisible.
You haven’t seen him without his glasses before, so maybe you wouldn’t…?
“Order for Felix!”
Of course it’s his turn now that you’re here. He considers taking off the ribbon before thinking better of it, hoping it isn't visibly poking out from underneath his cap.
“...Here!” Lyney tries not to cringe as he goes up to the counter. On most days he gives the cashier a random name — sometimes ‘Felix’ because it could be his idol alias read wrongly — but right now it almost gives him a heart attack when he hears his not-name, because it’s followed by you accidentally bumping into him and apologizing for almost spilling his coffee.
“I’m so sorry! Are you okay?”
“It’s alright, nothing’s spilled.” Lyney realizes too late that you might recognise his voice, and starts to speak in a muffled tenor. “No worries at all. Thank you for your concern.”
“...Felix, was it?” You look at him in confusion. “Is your throat okay?”
Before you can look at him any closer, Lyney’s turned away from you and started to speed-walk out of the cafe like his life depends on it.
“Perfectly fine, enjoy your day!” He says a bit louder to not appear too rude. He’s quite sure his ears are red as he makes his retreat, and by the time he makes enough distance between himself and the cafe, Lyney realizes something.
He didn’t even get to hear your coffee order!
-
Back to your side:
Out of all strange incidents that could happen over the weekend, you didn’t expect an encounter with some ‘Felix’ guy to linger in your mind until now.
To be honest, it was less about the stranger and just the ribbon you spotted in his hair when he ran away. As you listen to Lyney ramble about a magic trick he’s figured out recently, you watch the way his ash-blond locks sway with every motion.
…That pink ribbon from the stranger's head might look cute on Lyney. With how the breeze is playing with his hair, you can imagine the ends of the ribbon floating, threatening to fall loose and fly off the school rooftop you’re loitering at.
Lunch finished and forgotten, Lyney stands up as he’s reminded of something. He spins on his heel to look at you, hands linked behind his back.
“You know, over the weekend I saw a dance go viral.”
“The one on tiktok?”
“Yep! Want to try it?”
Lyney’s not usually this energetic, but it’s not so out-of-character that you’d start to find it odd. Instead, you’d like to preserve the easy smile on his lips while you still can — it’s a rare sight to see him this excited, steps light and gaze playful.
“I’m not a good dancer, though…” You hesitate, before Lyney comes closer to pull you to your feet with both hands — and how could you say no when your fingers are still loosely linked between you?
Lyney’s cheery demeanor slips into something more calm. With a content hum, he takes a small step away from you and positions his feet. You mimic him as he explains each move.
“Okay, so now you have to do a turn from this side.”
“How should I when you’re still holding onto me?”
“Like this,” Lyney urges you to turn, and as naturally as momentum brings you, he lets go of one of your hands to twirl you under his arm. “See? It’s easy!”
“I’m quite sure the dance didn’t involve a partner.” You can’t keep your smile down, peering up at Lyney when you stand in front of him again. “Trying to set a new trend, are we?”
“Only if you’ll let me record us. I won’t post it anywhere though, since my manager might get mad at me.”
“Your manager at work?” You ask, confusion furrowing your brow. “Did you accidentally sign an extra clause or something? They shouldn’t be able to control how you act outside of your shift!” Lyney bursts into laughter, earning a light hit on the shoulder from you. “Hey! This is serious — what kind of part time job did you get yourself into?”
“I wouldn’t say it’s a regular side-gig.” Lyney calms down, expression dusted with a pink blush as he looks at you fondly. “I’m a bit of a public figure, though I don’t normally dress that way when I’m at school.”
“Well then, Mr Popular.” You play along. “What should I be calling you instead then, when I see you during your job?”
“...Most people call me Felis, if that rings any bells.” He glances away. “It’d be pretty embarrassing if you didn’t recognise my name. But I do have to sing, dance, and…”
“You’re an idol.” Your eyes widened, the words spoken so quietly, you had to repeat them just to make sure they didn’t slip away. “You’re that idol, aren’t you? The sparkly-looking guy on the billboards!”
“Not so loud!” Lyney hushes you, grabbing your shoulders in reflex before stopping. He clears his throat, taking a step away. You would’ve minded the distance more, if it were not for the sight of Lyney bashful in front of you. “...It’s a bit of a secret, just so I can still live peacefully as a civilian. I asked Lynette and Freminet to make sure no one could overhear us here. They might be as nervous as me about your reaction, I’m sure.”
“I find that a little hard to believe.” If anything, they might be more worried about Lyney recuperating. You speak tentatively, raising a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear. “Now that I’m checking properly though, you do have the same look.”
It takes everything in Lyney to not squirm at your touch, and it’s even more terrifying that he wants to keep you there. “I would hope so, seeing as we’re the same person.”
“I bet Felis doesn’t spin his fans under his arm,” You quirk a cheeky smile. “Unless there’s something else you have to tell me?”
“Of course not, that’s only reserved for the best of…” Lyney trails off, the word ‘friend’ dying on his tongue. Not that you aren’t one, but— “I thought it’d be important to tell you about my job, before I ask you the real question I have on my mind.”
Giving him a nod, you tell him you’re all ears.
“...If you’re free next week, would you want to go somewhere together? As a date, I mean.” He lets the question sit in the air. “I understand if not, of course, whether it be because you just see me as a friend or find the whole idol thing too much—”
“I’ll make sure I’m free.” It takes a moment for your answer to register in Lyney’s head before his eyes light up. “Rather, you might have to make sure I don’t mess anything up for you. Like… should I call you by another name? Do I also need to wear a disguise?” If you had a net right now, it’d be very helpful in catching the butterflies in your stomach, to keep you focused on what you’re saying.
Just you would be perfect. “As long as we dress casually, it should be fine.” Lyney’s smile is contagious, now that he’s settling into the fact you said yes. “Sunday afternoon?”
“Sounds good!” You’re cut off by the bell. Remembering that you have PE and haven’t changed yet, you curse under your breath and quickly apologize to Lyney. “I’ll see you later— or text, if not!”
By the time your sentence ends, the door to the rooftop has shut, and Lyney is left standing with the tiniest of smiles, looking at the ground to try and control his expression before his siblings can bombard him with questions.
Lyney has never felt nervous while singing love songs before, but his manager recently commented that he feels younger than usual. Like an actual teenager in love.
It checks out, considering how fast his heart races when he starts to associate lyrics with you. Gone is the Felis who shines like an untouchable star, and here enters an idol who might just be human.
He enjoys it, as afraid as he is at the same time. To place one’s heart in the hands of another is terrifying, but he’d rather it be you than anyone else.
…But maybe you shouldn’t attend any of his concerts for now. He doesn’t know what he’d do if his brain short-circuits at the sight of you within the crowd.
His own little secret within a sea of people entrusting him with their dreams — what a thrilling thing indeed.
-
Speeding up:
After that day, you noticed that Lyney has loosened up more around you — in a way that means he’s more likely to smile and cling to you during conversations. If he had cat ears, you can imagine they’d be standing proud every time he managed to fluster you, watching for every micro-reaction as if his career depended on pulling that expression from you as he might with a crowd of adoring fans.
Except you think that Lyney’s adapting to this too quickly. How is it that he was the nervous one that day at the rooftop, but has been going on the offense ever since the next morning?!
Lynette apologized to you in advance, telling you that once Lyney has his eyes on a goal, he’d be merciless in trying to charm your heart. You just didn’t think it’d affect you this much, though that might have more to say about how quickly you’re falling rather than Lyney’s approach.
Every time Lyney calls your name and decides it’s time to hang around you like sunshine to a flower, you’re reminded of the clips of Felis you’ve watched after learning of his job. It was a mix of curiosity and puzzling out what Lyney’s other side might be like…
But god, does he have to constantly sport a smile like that? You find out through a promotional video that the coffee shop stranger actually was Lyney, and the ribbon does look very cute in his hair.
It’s a shame you’re only seeing the whole design through a screen. And even worse is the way he’s blowing a kiss to the camera in this one music video—
“What’re you watching?” Lyney’s hands rest against the back of your seat as he leans to look over your shoulder, prompting a panicked noise from your throat. You fumble with your phone, flipping it over so he can’t see. The little smile Lyney’s wearing tells you he has an inkling, but he does you the favor of not spelling it out. “Must’ve been a pretty good video if you didn’t hear me coming over.”
“You snuck up on me!” Sending him a glare, you power off your phone protectively. “...And if you must know, I was just listening to a song.”
“Can I hear?” Despite his playful tone, Lyney does give you the space to deny him as he adjusts his glasses. “But of course, I understand if you don’t like to share headphones.”
“I don’t mind, but there’s something else I’m wondering about.” You tilt your head up to peer at Lyney more closely, reaching a hand out to graze against his fingers. “Are these real?”
“My hands? I’d hope so.”
“Your glasses.” You retort quietly, trying not to roll your eyes. “Despite how I had to make a reality check about you too, I do know in fact that you’re real.”
Lyney laughs, raising a fist to his mouth. “You flatter me. But to answer your question — yes, these are actual glasses. Though the prescription isn’t too bad, so I only wear contacts if needed elsewhere.” With a serious pause, Lyney meets your gaze. “I wear these to school though, because I need to look at the board from behind and admire you clearly.”
You prop your chin against your palm. “I’m starting to think you’ve gotten too flirty recently.”
“Would you believe me if I said I’ve been holding back?” He hums, pulling a chair to sit beside you and mirror your pose. “I wanted to make sure you were comfortable with me romantically at first, but after that…”
“...You’re lucky I find you cute.” You sigh in jest. “At this rate, you might wear me down before we even go on a first date.”
“There’s still a lot about myself I’d like to share with you.” Lyney quietly admits. “I just hope we’ll be able to talk with more freedom. And if you decide you still like me after that — I suppose I’d feel like the luckiest guy in the world.”
The softness in his words somehow hits you harder than his previous flirtations.
It’s me who should be feeling incredibly lucky.
Rather than one persona being more genuine than the other, you were starting to understand Lyney’s balance between the schoolmate you knew and the charming idol onscreen.
You see the truth of his smile underneath the blinding lights and exchanges in the hallways; the adorable way he fiddles with his pen during class versus his confident choreography.
It’s all Lyney. You just have to learn more about him and put his trust to good use.
He’s not the type to pull just anyone into his world, after all. Lyney has always held back just a little, so as to not let his secrets show from behind the curtains to even his familiar friends.
And now that he’s allowed you in, how could you possibly take his excitement for granted? You’d be lying if you said you weren’t looking forward to it too.
-
The date:
When Lyney greets you at the start of the date, the last thing you expected is for him to sneak a pink rose into your hair in place of a bouquet.
He claims it’s more discreet, especially considering the way he’s dressed with a mask and hat to hide his features, glasses also present. Despite these, Lyney is expressive enough that it doesn’t affect your conversations, and you allow him to take your hand as he leads you to the aquarium. It’s lunch time, so you’re going against the regular flow of people and enjoying the exhibits while it’s less populated.
Beneath the walkway tunnel where various rainbows of fish swim by, you gaze up in wonder at the shadow of a shark passing through.
Fontaine is nothing if not abundant in sea-related attractions, even if the main city is on land. You haven’t visited this aquarium since you were a kid, so it was nice to relive traipsing through a world washed in soothing, gentle blue.
“I think when we were younger, me and Lynette would talk about catching these fish if we were allowed into the tanks.” Lyney muses. “Perhaps that’s why our father says we’re like cats.”
“If we were in the wild though, catching fish for dinner would be a pretty good idea.” You gaze up. “But… if I was able to breathe underwater, I think I’d just spend all day escaping my troubles.”
“Would you have space for a partner in crime?”
“Only if they’d be able to help, by whisking us away from pursuers, for example.” You smile when Lyney starts swinging your hands lightly between you. “It’s stressful business when I have to worry about two of us getting caught, instead of just one.”
“I’d take the heat so you can get away first.” The conversation is childish, but Lyney’s sentiment makes a frown pull at your lips.
He’s confused when you stop walking and turn to face him. “No self-sacrifices! We either run together or get caught together. Nothing in-between.”
Something flickers in his eyes before he replies, tone warm. “Alright then. I’m at your mercy.”
“A bold claim, when you surprised me with this in my hair.” You point towards the rose Lyney’s managed to secure to your shirt with a pin, after his initial sneaky reveal. “...I’m just trying to make sure you’re not the only one giving between us, but it’s hard to keep up with all…” You gesture vaguely at him. “This.”
“You just signaled to all of me.”
“That’s right!” You huff, crossing your arms across your chest. Lyney resists the urge to reach out and entwine your fingers again. “You’re too pretty, and nice, then I find out you can sing and dance too—”
“But I like surprising you.” Lyney chirps back, a laugh in his voice as he notices the way your face is darkening with a blush. He does you the service of hiding this from passersby — if any actually entered the walkway now, empty as it is — with his hands cupping both of your cheeks. “Maybe it’s because I’m a workaholic, but I want to make sure your eyes are only on me.” It’s the most dangerous thing he could say to you, in public or not. “So maybe I should apologize for dragging you into my selfish whims.”
“...But you don’t intend to stop.” You say, feeling lightheaded.
“Of course not.” Lyney hums, eyes bright with a smile. “There are a lot of stars to compete with in the night sky.”
And you said we're in this together, did you not? It's not the first time someone's told him he doesn't have to do things alone, but… it means a lot, coming from you.
“I hope you don’t say this to all your fans,” you sigh, relaxing into the softness of his palms. They’re smooth, and you realize Lyney’s always felt a little warm to the touch.
“You’re a fan?”
The lilt in Lyney’s voice tells you you’ve made a mistake in your choice of words. He’s much, much too happy that a previously-disinterested person like you has now seen enough of his idol content to make such a slip.
“A fan of Lyney Hearth.” You try to salvage your pride, gaze trained onto the ground.
“Oh… I see.”
Lyney’s eyes widen before he catches himself, suddenly glad he’s wearing a mask for a different reason.
God… What is he going to do with you?
-
After attempting to feed penguins, seals, and exploring the open pool where you’re allowed to touch reef creatures, you and Lyney make a beeline out of the aquarium and towards the main shopping street, where many cafes are abound.
Since you were working against the usual rush schedule, you managed to grab a seat at a local favorite which also served meals; corner of the cafe and out of sight.
The meal passes by without issue, and next you browse some stores nearby while slowly heading towards the park. You were in a hobby shop when a group suddenly exclaimed the name Felis, causing Lyney to flinch and pull you with him behind a shelf.
“Oh my god, they do have idol stuff!”
“Yeah, but we already have this! It’s not new merch, y’know.”
Lyney lets out a relieved sigh, slumping against the shelf of comics. “Nevermind, false alarm.”
“Are you always this jumpy?” You whisper back, resisting the urge to look around him and see what said Felis merch was as the group moves to another end of the store. Lyney doesn’t seem to realize his arms are still wrapped around you, and that if you simply tilted your head a little, your faces could touch.
“Only because I’m more distracted today.” With you. “It’s nice to know that people are having fun though. My manager would classify that as a good review.”
“Yes, but also, um…” You clear your throat, causing Lyney to finally turn his head and freeze at your proximity. “Not that I mind, but you’re still holding on to me.”
“...Am I too close?” He sheepishly asks.
Yes.
“Not at all.” You swallow your nerves. “But if the staff find us like this, we’re definitely going to get kicked out.”
-
One shared crepe and a walk in the park later, you reach a quiet area hidden between the trees that’s lit by the evening light. Lyney explains that he and other trainees would often come here to hide out and practice choreography together, when the training rooms became too suffocating. In hindsight, he’s quite sure this spot had eventually been bought out by their company, seeing as they never ran into any press or strangers here.
“We’d prop our phones on water bottles and record ourselves, since there was no mirror.” Lyney recounts. “It was mostly to catch our mistakes, but some managers encourage us to pretend we’re doing vlogs too, to get used to presenting our personalities to the camera. Whatever does get uploaded is screened, though.”
“Do you still have those videos?” You’re sitting on a bench, legs crossed and facing one-another. “The ones that didn’t get posted, I mean.”
“...Maybe? They’re really embarrassing though.” He chuckles, and almost moves to take off his mask before he thinks better of it. “And I think I only did those to update my family on how I was doing. They don’t believe my words entirely when I say I’m fine.”
“You are too good of a talker, so I’d be wary too.” You laugh, glancing up at the sky. The clouds are parting for purple and orange. “I think once upon a time, I might’ve dreamed about doing something creative too. Like singing, fashion, or etcetera.”
“Not every interest has to be placed in the public eye.” Lyney takes off his hat, giving you a wink. “Guess what’s inside.”
“A dove? More roses?”
“Take a look.”
Once you lean closer, Lyney raises the cap to shield your faces from one side, then pulls his mask aside to block the other. It’s over in a moment, but he brushes his lips over your cheek, and the one image that clings to your mind is the blush adorning his face and the clear look in his violet eyes.
Eyes that are trained on you — holding your attention until something flickers in the corner of your vision, and Lyney reveals a rose made of playing cards.
You look down to check for the flower pinned on your shirt: no longer there, and presumably transformed by Lyney’s trick of the senses. He allows you to take the handcrafted rose with a satisfied smile.
“I was nervous it might’ve fallen apart after walking around all day.” He admits. “It’s not as romantic as a regular rose, but I hope it holds its charm all the same.”
It’s very him. Lovely and careful in the ways he opens up his petals to you, but hiding a puzzle of spells underneath.
“It’ll last a lot longer, too.” You smile, storing it carefully to take home later. “How long did you spend on preparing that?”
“What do you mean? I transformed it in a second.” He muses. “Besides, I don’t want to spoil the magic. It took a lot of practice, but normally just with an audience that looks at the hat, instead of…” Lyney trails off, clapping his hands together as if to signal the next topic. “I can teach you to fold a flower like that though, if you’d like.”
“In the library as usual?” You allow the shift in conversation, if only because unlike Lyney, you do not have the solace of hiding your expression behind a disguise. “I’m starting to wonder if your skillset will ever be exhausted.”
“Well, I’m quite adept at interviews, modeling, and learning things by sight.” For his idol work, he means. “But I will admit I’ve been curious about baking. Maybe one day we could try that together.”
“Collecting points in more categories, I see. Maybe you can teach me how to dance, too.”
Lyney surprises you by swinging his legs off the bench and standing. He gives you a little bow, a glint in his eyes as he extends a hand towards you. “One of Felis’ you mean? I could do that now.”
Right now?!
“Don’t you trust me to?” Lyney pouts. “I’m a good teacher, I promise.”
“M… Maybe next time?” You’re not too sure, suddenly feeling intimidated by the idea of proper choreography. By instinct, you still take Lyney’s hand and get to your feet. “I need to mentally prepare— Whoa!”
Before you can finish, Lyney’s spun you around and lowered you into a dip, hands supporting you at your back and waist. He keeps it shallow and helps you back up — lips quirked as you’re suddenly pulled closer to him with the momentum, bodies and faces inches apart.
His pupils are dilated.
Your indignation quickly forms into surprise. There’s a quiet tension surrounding the air — a question asked, and your hand reaches up to take off Lyney’s mask in reply as he steals your breath away straight from your lips.
You’ve been wondering when you’d finally get the chance to stop his honeyed words with a kiss.
After you get home, you find a playing card that Lyney’s slipped into your pocket. On it is his familiar scrawl, and a few simple words:
‘Thank you for today.  Love — your number 1 fan.’
You get a feeling that this wouldn’t be the last time you exchange messages upon a suit of hearts. Maybe you’ll start investing in a deck of your own, just for him.

Idk if it's fit the theme but m reader x fremi? Where's fremi moved in reader's place and he experienced winter for the first time? Like he's used to the depth of the sea and now all he sees are snows, wanna take him to watch movies but his focus are always landed on the snows so I offer him to play w the snow mybe make a snowman:0
Tumblr media
Pairings: Freminet x reader
Warnings: Male!reader, fluff, teasing, shoving snow under someone's clothes
Genre/Format: Fluff; Scenarios
Tumblr media
The first time that the diver experienced heavy snowfall was rather cute. Freminet's rosy cheeks peeked from underneath his scarf as he tipped his head up, staring at the descending snowflakes in awe
It was like he couldn't even hear you; lost in the moment entirely. You stood just a few steps ahead, staring at your partner — the angel that he was as he became gradually covered in powdery snow. Freminet's eyes blinked slowly and his hands opened up, palms facing the sky while the cold flurries kissed his skin, melting after a second on the warm surface
Tumblr media
“We're gonna be late, babe. Your siblings are going to wonder where we've been if we don't leave like right now.” You half shouted to your partner who was standing in the middle of your front yard, kicking around a chunk of icy snow
When you turned around to hurry him along again, he was muttering under his breath. Something about playing in the snow? It was hard to hear him, soft-spoken as he is, but especially so under multiple layers of clothing
Upon further questioning, you were able to get him to confess his thoughts. Freminet really wanted to experience all of those fun activities you mentioned before, when you talked about the snow and your childhood. “We'll have a snow day tomorrow, Frem. I'll clear our schedules and we can do whatever you want, promise.” You offered, though the sad expression on your partner's face caused you to cave rather quickly...
-
“Hmm...I think this one needs to be bigger.” Freminet said, eyeballing the ball of snow that would serve as the base of your snowman. He does have a point... As of right now, the torso is far larger than the bottom snowball. If you leave him like this he'd probably collapse and become a snow-pile-man...
Using both of your arms, you scooped up a pile of snow, carrying it over to your snowman base and packing it in together. “Much better!” You said in unison, giving each other a confident nod
Freminet has the honor of decorating the head. Using some pretty rocks and seashells to create a smile and purple eyes out of two gorgeous shells, and of course using a large carrot as the nose! It was also Freminet's idea to gift the snowy fellow a cozy scarf and one of Lyney's old top hats; giving the snowman quite a dapper appearance
While he was focused on carefully embedding the items in the snowman's head, you subtly grabbed a small handful of snow and snuck up behind your partner–
“Waaahh!!” Freminet screamed, jumping a bit when the icy substance came into contact with the small of his back. “H-hey! Why did y-you–?”
You laughed so hard that your sides began to ache, bending forward and grasping at your ribs. Freminet wasn't entirely amused, whining and jokingly calling you a ‘mean boyfriend’ 🥺
“Sorry, love. I just wanted to see your reactions,” you said between laughs, “you're too cute when you get flustered like that!”
Flustered?! Him?!
Freminet froze — feeling uncomfortably warm despite the freezing temperature outside
“Aw, there's those pretty red cheeks that I love so much!” Freminet's hands immediately flew to his face, covering his freckled (and apparently beet red!!) cheeks and turning on his heel swiftly
“You're so mean...” He whined under his breath, yet smiling when he felt familiar arms wrap around his torso, pulling him into a tight hug

INSULT TO INJURY — Platonic Arlecchino & reader
Tumblr media
i. SUMMARY: What is Arlecchino to do, when her child comes home injured? ii. CWS & NOTES: Injuries, mild descriptions of blood, mentions of violence, nothing particularly graphic. PLATONIC arlecchino & gn!reader. house of the hearth!reader. hurt/comfort. they/them pronouns used. 0.9k words. iii. A/N: HI THIS WAS FINISHED IN MY DRAFTS AND I DID NOT NOTICE... this was a suggestion from @romaritimeharbor!!
Tumblr media
Arlecchino was by no means a traditional parent, but she did share common qualities with those who were. She kissed her children’s hair when they were sick, wiping the sweat off their forehead and tucking their sheets extra tight. When they sought comfort, she would hold them close to her chest, even if her affection was rare and only offered away from all other eyes. They appeared in her thoughts constantly, even in the most mundane situations; occasionally she would find herself wondering if Lynette would enjoy a particular brand of tea, or if Freminet’s diving skills had improved in the past months.
Those outside of the House of the Hearth could never imagine a soft side to a cutthroat woman like Arlecchino, not after witnessing her ruthless ways. All they saw was the terrifying Harbinger that cut through hoards with her scythe, taking down each and every one who stands in the way of the Fatui. They would be mistaken to dismiss her as soft-hearted, but even more so to proclaim her heartless. It is simply that her heart beats for the Hearth, and nothing more.
When she settled into the role of Father, she vowed that even if the Fatui wouldn’t treat her children with love, she would. However strict she appeared, her love for the House of the Hearth was poured through every drop of blood shed in the name of the security of the Fatui. The Fatui were the foundation holding up the orphanage, and so long as it remained strong, so would their home.
It was one of her most notable traits, and one that many parents held; she would do anything to protect her children.
So when [Name] turned up at her office, bruises peeking out between the rips in their shirt and bright splatters of blood dotting their arms, she didn’t scold them for walking in without knocking. She stood, moving mechanically over to where they lingered in the doorway. She swept her gaze down their body, taking note of each and every injury. And as they looked up at her, eyes glazed over with unshed tears, she brushed her hand across their face to rid the hair sticking to the blood across their forehead and hissed, “Who did this to you?”
“I–” Whatever rasping words were almost spoken broke off in a fit of coughing. A low cry of pain spilled out, and their hand clutched their side. “Sorry, I’m sorry.”
Arlecchino looked out through the hallway, spotting a child half-hidden behind the corner, unsubtly trying to spy on the situation. They squeaked, as she caught their eye and barked out an order. “You! Go to the medical wing and bring back a first aid kit, and several ice-packs. Now.”
They scurried off, the sound of tiny footsteps growing quieter every second. Once they were inaudible, she looked back at her other child, whose eyes were drifting shut slowly. A quick touch on their shoulder sent them flinching backwards, eyes flying open.
“What happened?” She asked, ignoring the way they shrunk into themself at the question.
“I failed. I was ambushed, and they–” They shuddered, once again gripping their side. Arlecchino took note of the way they winced each time they moved too sharply; bruised ribs, if not broken. “I’m sorry, I just came to report on what happened.”
“You’re injured, [Name].” Arlecchino stressed.
“I know,” They said quietly. They didn’t even seem to have enough energy to fight the tears that have begun dripping down their cheeks. “It won’t happen again. I’ll be better.”
I don’t want you to be better, her mind screamed. I want you to be okay. Arlecchino bit her tongue hard to stop the words from pouring out. It would be unbecoming of the Director to show such earnestness in front of one of her children, especially one who had clearly suffered a failure. She may love them, as she does all of her orphans, but she was raised in the Fatui as well. She knew the cost of failure all too well.
“You will be.” Arlecchino stood back, letting them lean against the door frame again to stop themself falling over. “I’m sure you understand that there will be consequences to this.”
“I do.”
“Excellent. You will be dismissed from all missions for the next six weeks.” Six weeks, that was just long enough for injured ribs to heal, if she recalled correctly. “You will be required to remain in the House for that time, and any outings must be approved by me before you leave.”
They stared at her, eyes wide.
“Am I understood?”
“Yes, Father.” They said quickly.
She didn’t ask any more of the person who had left them in such a state, but they did cross her mind as she wrapped bandages around their arms. She could almost see them now, celebrating their victory over the Fatui. How proud they must be, to have sent one of the Knave’s own agents fleeing.
A barely noticeable grimace tore her attention away, and she forced her hands to loosen the bandages around their arm. In her quiet fury, she had begun to wrap them tighter than a tourniquet, much to their discomfort.
For that moment, she dismissed the assailant to the back of her mind, and turned all of her attention to her child.
They would come later, and then, they would learn the true meaning of fear.

Thinking about early morning train rides with modern Genshin characters..... (Inspired by my commute to and from places in Melbourne)
Xiao, the ever early riser who's already got a drink in a travel cup for you.
The short walk in the crisp morning air to the station near your apartment before standing on the packed train, huddled close to each other as you hold on.
The ride to your university is only a few short minutes, but it's minutes of bliss. The idle chatter of high schoolers around you, the sun pouring through the crowded train, and Xiao's hand on the small of your back.
He grabs your hand when it's your stop, pulling you through the people and off the train, as if you wouldn't make it through the doors if he wasn't holding you, despite having made the trip dozens of times.
Not many words are spoken during the journey, but more than enough things are said in the way you huh before parting for class.
...
Freminet, who wakes up on time to get ready for the long train ride home, but doesn't want to get out of bed with you.
You'd spent the night in the city, and now had to catch the early train home.
Being a cold morning, neither want to leave the comfort of the bed, warmed by two bodies sleeping there the night before.
The playlist that got set as your alarm continues to cycle through songs, your liked playlist being a mix of all sorts.
When you finally get up it's a rush to the station, tea half finished and toast messily eaten.
Once finally on the train, Freminet lets out a sigh and leans on you. It was a long ride back home. At least the morning sun on Freminet's gold hair and freckled face was a sight you never bore of.
...
Furina always acted like using public transport didn't make her anxious, but in reality she planned your entire trip as well as a back up the week before.
So when she double checks and sees trains are being replaced by coaches after 9am, she panics.
You have to catch a metro train from your current location at 8:05 to the main station which gets in at 8:18 in time for the last regional train at 8:35.
You could only chuckle as Furina fusses on the metro, convinced you're somehow going to miss the next train..
It doesn't help that the train is late by 5 minutes.
When you're both finally on the regional train home, she relaxes into her window seat.
Despite the residual panic on her face, you couldn't deny she looked stunning contrasted against the view of the city in the morning light.
-----
All of these are inspired by what happened to me... This morning. I'm writing this on the train right now LMAO

you were on a picnic date with freminet on the rocky cliffside, nothing could beat the wonderful view. you two were now enjoying desert, which consisted of delicious, spongy strawberry cake, your favorite muffins, and some berry red fruit punch.
freminet was telling you all about his favorite fairy tales and myths, since you wanted to hear so much about what he liked to read. more impressively, he could tell you the entire plot, getting into the nuance of it all. you admired how his eyes lit up as he described the stories. you could listen to his voice all day, it was soothing and a bit deeper than usual as he was completely relaxed.
“and then, the two little birds had gone to follow the wind, unaware of where they would go, or what they believed in.”
“wait, that's how it ends?” your mouth was agape. “no way! i need to know what happened to them,” you huff.
“that's right, the author wanted to leave it up for interpretation,” freminet sighed.
the wind began picking up, the checkered blanket underneath you two threatening to lift up. freminet held out his arms, flattening it down.
“whew!” you held onto the hat you were wearing. “it's getting windy up here, isn't it?”
all that was left were the finished paper plates with crumbs scattered about, and the near empty juice bottles.
“indeed it is..” he hummed. “how about we clean up, then stay for the sunset?”
“that sounds amazing. let's do it!” you shine him a bright smile. the sky always looked gorgeous from the cliffside.
after you both finish packing up and loading it into the trunk of freminet's car, you eagerly take his hand in yours to check out the breathtaking sights, as the sun was already beginning to dip down, and a golden orange gleamed down on the thrashing ocean below, making it sparkle from every angle.
“alright alright, i'm coming~” he softly chuckled as you dragged him along.
once you got close enough to the edge, you gaze out into the waters, your expression full of awe. “wow..”
freminet remained silent, simply holding onto your arm, his cheeks a slight rosy pink.
the scene looked as if it were a painting that was being crafted right before your eyes.
you just had to snap a picture, so you reach into your pocket, before pulling out your wallet instead.
with a confused gaze, you think back to where you saw your device last.
“woops! i think my phone is in the car-”
suddenly, a strong gust whipped through and you lost your hold on your wallet. with a startled gasp, you reached out but it was no use, it was already flying off the edge.
separating from freminet, you hurried to get closer, then sadly peer down.
your wallet was plunging into the depths below.
“oh no.. my wallet..!” you panicked. you had a great deal of cash in there, your driver's license, your id card.. what were you going to do? you glanced at him, full of anxiety.
“it's okay y/n, i can go in and get it! there's a trail that leads down to the beach,” he pointed in the opposite direction.
“are you sure fremi? the waves seem harsh right now.”
“w-well, i've actually gone swimming here before in similar conditions, so i can do it,” he assured you. “cmon!”
with a hint of reluctance, you nod, remembering all of the important things in there that could be lost to the sea.
freminet was a professional, and the wallet didn't stray far at all yet.
“alright!” you followed after him down the narrow pathway, small pebbles clanking down as both of you try to get to the shore as quickly as you could.
once you were finally there, freminet took off his sandals and his jeans, revealing black swimming shorts from when he went surfing earlier that day. and yes, he could surf just as well as he could dive~
“i can see it. this will be quick, i promise.” he grinned back at you, determined to put his talents to use to retrieve it for you.
he seemed sure of himself, so you stood back as he waded into the water, and then his agile body climbed the huge stones that jutted out, gradually inching closer to your wallet. it was lodged in between two smaller stones. he then snatched it out of the water before a wave could take it away.
“here it is, y/n!” he called out to you, waving it in the air.
“yay! thank you!!” you cheerfully shout back.
he looks so cool right now~
but...
that's when it happened.
freminet's back was turned, and he was getting up onto the rock to come back the way he came. as he was lifting his leg, an enormous wave was closing in behind him, bigger than what you've ever seen that evening.
where did that..? no, no! it's not safe! he needs to-
“wait!”
you yell out a warning once you realize what was going to happen, but it was far too late. a horrible crashing noise filled the air, and your eyebrows twisted in horror as he disappeared into the salty mist.
the water was unforgiving, it carried him away from the stones - slamming him into the side of the escarpment. he had no time to react, and his head banged against the rock face. freminet's ears rang, a high-pitched sound roaring into his skull, his eyes rolling to the back of his head.
“freminet!” you scream, your voice shrill with terror. you automatically jump into the water, legs staggering in the sand, moving with haste.
you climbed onto the stones with a grunt, and frantically observed the area until his unconscious frame came into your focus. your heart felt like it had dropped all the way down to your feet. your eyes welled up with tears, and that's when you broke out in an uncontrollable sob.
“f-freminet..!” you wail, your voice shaking.
you lunge forward, and lock your arms around him, trying to haul the boy out of the sea as quickly as possible. warm, fresh blood was streaming out of a deep gash on the side of his head, flowing down to his shoulder and coating your hand. you stare at the wound in shock, and keep pulling him out until you reach the safety of the shore.
.
.
.
it was a couple of hours after freminet's incident, and he was now in a bed, all bandaged up, but yet to wake up. after you got him out of the water, you never ran so fast in your life, bolting up the hill to the car and getting your phone out, then frantically dialing the police and running back down as the phone rang. he was then taken away by the ambulance, which you quickly followed behind, and now you were here in the hospital room with him, refusing to leave his side.
the doctor had informed you that his condition would improve, as the hit wasn't fatal.
she stated that it was a mild traumatic brain injury - or more commonly known as a concussion.
so, he had a nice chance of waking up in the next couple hours or so. when he does, they’ll have to do more examinations. but for now, it’s a waiting game.
the wave of relief that had flooded through you was too great to describe, but you felt so terribly guilty. if you hadn’t dropped your wallet, none of this would have happened. or… you should’ve stopped him, because you knew something was off.
you were hunched over, kneeling at the bedside, whilst nurses checked in on him periodically.
your head was down, and you were clutching on his hand, with a mind that was racing with prayers.
“please wake up freminet.. please.”
it seemed like forever, until…
“y-y/n..? is that you?” freminet slowly awoke, blinking the drowsiness away, and instinctively lifted his head before he winced with pain as his head throbbed. it felt as if something was pounding on his brain, over and over again…
“you’re awake!” you quietly gasp, perking up. “lay down, lay down…” you gently usher him, hating to see him struggle.
his eyes darted around the small room, trying to take in his surroundings.
“do you remember what happened?” you ask, with worry clouding your gaze.
he knew your name, which gave you some amount of solace.
“the last thing that i f-felt was a slamming sensation. and i let go of your wallet…” he fidgeted with his fingers, dejected. he opened his mouth again, but the only words he could utter were,
“i’m sorry.” his tone was as soft as could be, but he sounded so shameful.
“no, this is anything but your fault! i should’ve stopped you,” you jump to tell him, tears threatening to build up again. “nothing else matters right now. i could always replace my belongings, but i could never replace you.”
“in the end, i was the one who decided to go in..”
you choke back your feelings, trying not to add any more distress than what he was already feeling. you wanted to be calm, not only for your his sake, but your own.
freminet was quiet, and his face felt like it was on fire. how could he burden you like this?
the fact that the very place that he’s known by heart for the majority of his life, the ocean… was the culprit for hurting him. he thought that it would never happen, could never happen, since he knew the ins and outs of every situation.
and for that, freminet felt utterly crestfallen.
when he caught your gaze, he wanted to wail and hide far, far away.
“i’m sorry!” he said for the second time, voice breaking as he held back all of his emotion. he felt completely helpless right now, and that was the last thing he wanted to be.
“please stop that…” you realize that guilt wouldn’t do either of you any good, and so you let out a long sigh, taking both his hands in yours.
“neither of us knew what was going to happen. nobody could have predicted that a giant wave would come out of nowhere like that.” you attempt to comfort him, gently rubbing his knuckle with your thumb.
“i- i just…” freminet was still distant.
a knock could be heard.
“how are we doing in here?” a nurse came in, softly shutting the door behind her. her voice was comforting.
“we’re going to run some tests on you to gauge your condition, alright freminet?” she gave him a gentle smile.
after his memory exams were conducted, everything came out well. but he told both the nurse and doctor that his headache was only getting worse, and that he was feeling pretty weak. they assured him that it was completely normal given the trauma inflicted, and so he was given medication to help ease the symptoms.
“where you’re at right now, it would be okay for you to head home. but we highly recommend an overnight stay so you can leave in the morning. not only for your health aspect, but for convenience as well.” the woman was writing words down on her clipboard and checking boxes off.
“it is completely up to you, love. absolutely no rush.” you turn to him, squeezing his hands.
“i would love to be back home, believe me, but right now.. i don’t think i have the energy to stand.”
“alright.. no problem, we'll keep monitoring you then.” the kind nurse handed the clipboard to freminet for his signature, and reminded you both to take it easy before leaving the room. she also made sure to mention that she would be available with a simple press of the help button and would be checking in every hour or so. you thank her for everything she's done so far, and she nodded back, glad that it all turned out fine.
“are you.. going to stay in here with me?”
“of course i am.” you promise him. “i'm not going anywhere.”
“okay.” he tried to get into a more comfortable position to get some more rest, but he just couldn't.
“i want to go back to asleep…” freminet sighed. “i'm exhausted, but my eyes are refusing to close.”
“is your head still bothering you?”
“mhm.. i guess so.” he was turned the opposite direction from you now, just staring at the wall.
“ah, okay. should we ask for something that will help you fall sleep quicker?” you suggest.
no response.
“fremi?” you whisper.
just then, you could hear sniffling and small sobs coming from him, and you stayed completely still. you never heard him cry before. he was really good at regulating his emotions, and never cried in front of anyone. but freminet deserved to let it out, that's for sure. your eyebrows were knitted, a deep pang of melancholy engulfing your expression.
poor freminet..
“what a terrible way to conclude our date..” he murmured, it was difficult for him to face you like this, heck, it was hard enough having you witness everything unfold right then and there.
you didn't think that the image of him getting swept away and hitting the rock would ever leave your mind - the way your hair on the back of your neck stood up on end, how your reactions felt so overwhelmingly delayed.
those couple hours of uncertainty were the worst of all. speeding through traffic for him as your nails dug into the steering wheel, whilst every possibility in your head whirred..
how serious would it be? why did this have to happen? if only i was faster..
..what if the worst case scenario comes true?
“trust me, that is the last thing i'm worried about. you're awake, you're talking to me.. and you'll be able to get out of here tomorrow. i'm beyond grateful.” you stayed seated right behind his back, knowing that if you saw his tears streaming down, you wouldn’t be able to take it..
“y/n..” he bawled, covering his eyes with one shaky hand.
“it's okay, everything will be okay.” you soothe, though hearing him cry when he's the calmest person you know was breaking you.
“i.. oh, goodness, i-i’m just a mess right now...” he took a ragged breath in. “and the trouble i've caused you-”
“shh, my darling..” you caressed him, the same as he always did for you whenever you were at your lowest. your fingers danced along the shell of his ear, brushing through his short blonde locks, paying great attention as to not disturb the bandage wraps.
freminet began to calm down, and he slowly released his hand away from his face, relaxing upon feeling your touch.
“i don't know what i would be without you..” he confessed. “i’ve never, uhm,’ he didn't finish his sentence, but you nodded, which signified a mutual understanding.
“i've asked myself the same exact thing.”
you look down at him, and he turns to meet your gaze at last, his under eyes red and puffy. you were sure that your signs of crying from earlier were also visible.
“..are you feeling hungry? thirsty? there's plenty of water for you on the counter, but i can get you anything you want. anything,” you say to him, hoping that it would help to get his mind off the situation.
“anything?” he blinked.
“always.” a smile tugged on your cheeks.
“hmm..” freminet thought for a moment.
“i would like a hug. i think that's all i need at the moment.” there was the shine in his eyes that you came to know and love.
you pause for a moment, feeling warm inside. even though he must be in a good amount of pain, he just wanted a hug..!
“one hug, coming right up!” your heart fluttered.
freminet steadily got himself into a sitting position, nodding to let you know that he was alright. and that's when you promptly took a seat on his bed and slowly wrapped your arms around him, still making sure that you weren't hurting him any further.
you were finally feeling at peace. you’ve never been so scared before.
“i love you, oh god, i love you so much..” you took in his familiar scent, ever so thankful that he didn’t suffer a serious injury from the hit. you were reminded how unpredictable life can be, and that you could never take him for granted, not even for one second.
“i love you too. more than you could ever know.” he was quick to reply, closing his eyes as you held him.
a few moments pass you by before freminet’s soft voice spoke again, his grasp on you tightening. you could hear the serenade of his heartbeat as you two were now close enough for your chests to be touching.
“my interpretation for the tale i told you about..” he nuzzled into you, feeling safe and comforted. “it was that the two little birds found something in the drift of wind, and it was their love for one another. that was the missing piece that they needed to honor. the breeze had tested them.. tested them to stay strong.”
