Always an experience watching the leftism leave FNAF fans when someone mentions that Scott Cawthon financially backed fascist politicians.
The switch from posting hardline leftist tweets about boycotts and signal boosts and critical takedowns of politicians and celebrities to ‘ohhh, well. everyone makes mistakes. who can blame him, listen he. he donated money to gay charities too. that makes it ok! a millionaire in his forties is allowed to have political beliefs. does it even matter? just let it go!’ is whiplash inducing. The antivaxxer celebrities have got to go, but this one horror dev who quietly handed wads of cash to antivax lawmakers? He’s chill, he can stay.
The charity thing is so funny too because suddenly utilitarian positive-negative point counting is the way to go. Maybe an abacus would help calculate the net good of donating to the Trevor Project minus donating thousands of dollars to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. -10 points if I push a kid in a lake but +11 points if I help an old lady across the street, so I’m chill. You can’t judge me. Hey, maybe. Just don’t push a kid in the lake period. How fucking low is the bar when we’re excusing maxing out the possible dollar amount of donations to Mitch fucking McConnell. That should be like. Default you’re a bad person.

It has been very hard to know what to say in the light of all the atrocities we've witnessed in Gaza these last few months, but harder still to stay silent. I'm heartbroken pretty much all the time, but I think we cannot look away; for all that it's worth, I will continue to march and learn and boycott and call for a permanent ceasefire.
Olive trees grow deeper than the occupation can reach. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free

(it's a continuation of previous posts about the calendar)
For March Lance voted to do some tree hugging and grass touching in a constantly busy world of trying to pass exams and earn money and they had a picnic for an entire day. Keith wholeheartedly agreed, but also felt like it’s way too cheesy. Still, Lance didn’t even have to win him over with sushi. Sushi was just a nice surprise. When Lance reports back to Hunk how his Saturday went using the phrase "dancing underneath the moonlight", Hunk opts out of the details. Lance tries to explain it’s not an euphemism, but Hunk just politely reminds him he can keep speaking just. No. Details. (he does that a lot when Lance starts gushing about Keith)

yes, iran IS bad. if you find yourself defending the fucking ISLAMIC REGIME OF IRAN then maybe take a few steps back and see how far into the rabbit hole of propaganda you have fallen, because oh my lord the number of pro-iran government posts that i have seen here is alarming. and i can guarantee you that these are mostly white leftists who live in first world countries saying these things.
people on here are trying to whitewash this regime, to make it fit into their good v bad, oppressor v oppressed narrative. it doesn't work like that, the world doesn't work like that. you are defending a misogynistic homophobic theocratic dictatorship.
women in iran have been EXECUTED for not wearing their hijab PROPERLY (not even taking it off, just wearing it the wrong way). women have been beaten, raped, and forced to live under a theocratic dictatorship, and you sing the regimes praises because 'west bad'.
the regime literally funds terrorist organizations all over the middle east, including hezbollah and hamas. on october 7th, iran technically attacked israel as well as hamas.
a lot of people are talking about how israel bombed an embassy. israel attacked the building next to the embassy, not the embassy itself. It was a consulate and did not have the same international protections. Of the 7 dead from the consulate bombing, 5 were members of terrorist group IRGC. 2 of the dead had coordinated terrorist attacks on leaders and were high ranking officials.
israel bombing the consulate was a response to the way that iran uses their proxies to fight israel. this is a shadow war that they have been fighting for years now, and you really expose your dumb ignorant asses when you pretend that the israeli bombing of the iranian consulate was just a random attack.
when you say 'iran has a right to defend itself', you are not standing up for the civilians of iran, you are standing up for the terrorist government.

My family is dead. They’ve been bombed. 1 uncle, 2 aunts, five or more of their children, one of them newly graduated and newly wed with her baby. She was visting her mother. Her previous house had been bombed. Death followed her.
My uncle wanted to bring his family to visit Egypt. They were looking at places to rent. But for some reason or another it didn't go through. I will never again play a game of Remy with him. He will never tease me for being quiet. His daughter whose dream was to live in Egypt now lay torn to shreds.
Such a simple dream. Egypt? The country I escaped? That was salvation to them. Days before he died my uncle was asking my mother to put his family's names on the list to pass the border into Egypt. But they're not letting Palestinians pass, only foreigns.
Three of my family survived. They watched their parents, their sisters, torn to shreds. They can't even identify the bodies. One only recognized his sister by her Abbaya.
And none of it matters. Nothing will change. Israel will still win because at the end of the day it's not about humanity or loss of life or justice. It's all about money and power and Israel has all and Palestine has none.
The dead will be forgotten by the world and nothing will change.

While international organizations inspect and have access to our prisons where Russian prisoners are held, they turn a blind eye and do not fight for proper conditions for Ukrainian prisoners.

Another thing that outrages me is the way "Putin's prison" is used. It was not Putin who tortured him and others, but russians. This is not Putin's war, but Russia's. These are not the decisions and crimes of one person. After 10 years of war, the Russians are still being singled out and absolved of responsibility. That's impossible levels of stupidity and cowardice.

I genuinely feel like this isn't said enough. So I'm gonna say it.
To everyone Zionist out there, every pro-genocide, pro-israel bigot, from the bottom of my heart, from the depths of my soul:
Fuck you.

Honestly the funniest thing about TDP to me is that Rayla for some reason always thinks Callum isn't 100% ride-or-die with her on any given situation. Seriously, she could decide she's jumping off a cliff and he'd do it too--oh wait.
I get that half of it is 'protecting' him but like. Girl he has been ready to die and kill for you since the first snake chain incident. It has not lightened up since. In fact its gotten worse. She's his special little guy and if anything happens to her he will kill everyone in the room and then himself. She physically cannot ever sacrifice herself for anyone because Callum WILL be following her straight into the afterlife in no less than a minute. I'm fully convinced he can and would go even further than Claudia and he'd barely have to think on it for five seconds before shrugging like "damn this sucks, can't believe I have to turn evil" "you literally don't have to--" "no I'm gonna"
And honestly I think that's peak teenagers first girlfriend behavior.

“Are the hostages more worthy than Palestinian lives?! Israel shouldn’t be able to just kill Palestinians.”
Please get your head out of your ass and into reality. This is a war. This isn’t some textbook philosophical quiz or trolly problem.
Every war is fought and won with people dying on either side. Death is unfortunate, yet undeniable. If right now, Ukraine said “welp, I guess we can’t do anything more because Russian lives are just as worthy as ours 😔.” They would immediately lose the war, the land, and likely their lives. That is not an option, so they continue to fight.
The same goes for Israel. They have a shot at rescuing hostages and finally destroying Hamas. They’re going to take that shot. It’s up to the elected officials in Palestine to protect their own people - that would be Hamas.
Back in August, Palestinians were fighting against Hamas for their lives. Hamas killed most of those people. The people left have shown time and again that they either don’t like Hamas but won’t fight or leave, or they offer Hamas full-fledged support.
To the people who won’t fight or leave: I’m sorry, but this is war and there will be casualties.
To the (majority) Hamas supporters: I hope you die like the animals you clearly are. You are beyond help, and I will never feel bad for a dead Nazi.
