when I want to have a conversation about the fanfic to novel discourse I need to be certain they don’t think the said authors are all vapid senseless women with wandering wombs, ripping at the sanctity of literature with their degenerate claws. 4. First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight?

ohh for joelle was absolutely love at first sight. she saw nina a bunch of times working at the coffee shop near her campus and kept showing up every day just to see her (they made shitty coffee there but she kept going there every morning fkjdk). nina..barely noticed her at first lmao. but ironically she's also the one that invited joelle out for their first 'date'. they are the typical 'opposites attract'. joelle thought nina was SOOO out of her league while nina found her very quiet..until joelle began speaking at the speed of light because she was so nervous of being around her. nina found her so amusing :')

5. Nicknames? Pet names? Any in-jokes?

nina calls joelle 'joy' most of the time + some sweet pet name she always switches. it was a sappy joke for them, nina always said that joelle is like a ray of sunshine and always managed to make her smile. 'you're my joy' nina used to say. and then the nickname stuck. sometimes she jokes around and calls her joy joelle for fun.

joelle mostly uses pet names more than nicknames, she likes darling, sweetheart, and my lovely wife when she's making fun of her. also they both love saying 'my wife/my wife and i' at every occasion they have

20. What does their home look like? Their room?

i imagine their home as a small cozy house, there's lots of plants and different colors mixed together. it's a bit messy and cluttered, there's books and vinyls on the floor and on every free space. they aren't that bothered by the mess because nina has order in that mess while joelle enjoys the fact that messy makes the house look,,alive. the type of 'someone is living here' type of feel.

VESPER x FENIX

13. What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?

they love to go on little trips!! mostly it's the car ride experience that they love, the music playing and the peace that comes with the ride, the wind between their fingers when they stick a hand out of the window..they love the badlands the most because no one is there, not as much as night city. when one of them needs a break from the city and its problems or they simply want to be just the two of them, that's what they do.

movie nights are a thing too, as well as going out to some club to drink and/or dance. actually, fenix is a terrible dancer but he tries his best just because 1. vesper has incredible dancing skills and he finds it hot 2. he might be bad but he has fun looking silly fjdk. also grocery shopping lmao it's a big thing for fenix, he has every kind of discount you could think of and he could just. stand. in the bread aisle for hours. vesper has zero patience for his antics but the domesticity of it all makes her heart soften hehe

19. What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?

OH A LOT TBH. FJDKFK. usually it's dumb stuff, vesper getting angry about fenix forgetting to do something or saying something he shouldn't have (he does it all the time) to friends or strangers. fenix downplays everything, he's like oh okay, no big deal we will find a solution/i'll do that tomorrow while vesper is losing her marbles. basically their fights are 90% of the times vesper getting upset and fenix just playing it off as nothing. (they had their Big Fights era when younger, when fenix was a piece of shit <3) also the make up is usually fenix trying to coax her into forgiving him with sweet words and funny remarks (the moment vesper cracks a smile, he knows he won) and it usually always work, he's good at looking like a sad little puppy. u can't stay angry at a sad wet puppy for too long.

31. Do they finish each other’s sentences? Pick up any phrases or habits from each other? Know when the other is hiding something?

OHH. YES. vesper is the one that picked the most phrases from fenix. he uses lots of italian sayings which in english sound funny/weird most of the time (don't look in the mouth of a gifted horse.) and vesper simply learned them from hearing him speak, so sometimes she uses them as well <3 (fenix finds it sweet, means that she listens to him) they sometimes finish each other's sentences or like foresee the other's reaction because they just know each other that well, IN FACT it's impossible to hide something from the other. vesper's jaw is tightly set when she's hiding smth or lying and she unconsciously tends to cross her arms, while fenix is actually pretty good at this but vesper can see through his facade so well, all it takes is a little weird look on his face and she immediately knows.
