4.6 Arlecchino SQ spoilers✨

First all the things with the siblings, including the npc ones, was GREAT i really love it because it showed so much of the dynamic of the characters with each other.

Specially how now its text that Lyney considers Freminet his brother as much as with Lynette even when they aren't blood related. Which is something that I wanted it since they were announced as a trio.

HOWEVER, i dont think I like that instead of having a "wolf in sheep's clothing" we got a "sheep in wolf's clothing" for arlecchino, ofc it doesn't really minimize the fact that she is raising a band of child soldiers but is not painted as bad but in a "greater good" way.

Like Ayato and the shuumatsuban, there is not questioning his methods and it feels more of a heroic thing to those who know the secret (also we never dived in on this ever, so this is another thing that pisses me off)

Again, idk what I was expecting. They are all making the characters acceptable enough to be the traveler's companion, that includes even the ones that are suppose to be evil/ruthless characters.

How they going to turn dottore is just gonna be hilarious. I think I'm done hoping they'd commit to a playable character that stays evil. So I guess I'll just enjoy whatever the give to us and mourn for the story it could be if they weren't so afraid to alienate people from characters.

Still the story was enjoyable, they are getting better with story telling and I wasn't as bored as I was in other story quests. Tho it had npcs, the focus was more on Arlecchino and how those npcs affected her, thing that literally took them a while to get right.

Unrelated but I love Childe so much, its funny Arlecchino does see him as a kid which kinda confirms that childe can't be more than idk late 20s? so I'll assume he's closer to mid 20s by now. Give us a 30 y/o character that isn't an ancient pls

Anyway its a good story quest nonetheless! Do rec it.

I’m rereading jjk from the prep arc to refresh my memory, i dropped it around midway the culling game so i barely remember anything. I’ll be posting my thoughts per vol to make this fun!

So!! Vol 17 tl;dr thoughts: i liked it better half of it is maki and she is a pretty cool character, im just sad about how gege handled mai and nobara’s supposedly confirmed death. It could’ve been different. We should’ve had more of yaga before, also naoya sucks! Choso my beloved he is so cute about yuuji🥹 overall great volume!!

More vol 17 thoughts as i was reading:

- senpai yuuta is so confident😭

- naoya…😒

- One page, we get one page of kugisaki’s status but not in a clear way bc this could still be “nothing has changed, she hasn’t woken up” its nov 9 when that conversation happened, only a little more of a week from kugisaki’s “1% chance” we cant get a solid answer? A “odds were against her” but just yuuji’s I GET IT and megumi’s silence, doesnt cut it.

- Yuuta sees Maki and turns back to puppy mode, same

- “You can think of him as my big brother” 😭😭😭 my fave page, cant wait to see it animated

- Forgot how accidentally funny yuuji was, yes tengen is ugly looking

- So kenjaku was like AFO collecting CTs blood manipulation from kamo, whatever yuuji’s mom had, and curse manipulation for all his silly little evil plan for the fun of it (i do remember that)

- I love that yuuta is still the guy that says someone is stronger than him even when we all know is not true. He is closer to gojo and yuki’s level if anything

- Choso loves yuuji so much😭😭😭

- Wait where are all the panda like creations of yaga now? Like can they fight, what are these remind me of🤔

- Man i forgot so much of yaga, there so much about him that is interesting for him to be killed off and remembered just as panda’s dad imo. Ig it was more like a surprise reveal but we could’ve had some hints idk

- Megumi’s “i dont want it” jon snow moment is really funny

- The Zen’in fam are fucked lmao

- I still hate mai dying, i get the logic behind it. But it still feels unsatisfying ending for a character, unlike nanami hurtful but understandable and a good closure

- Mai took maki’s heart😔

- Naoya’s simpness for toji will never not be funny

- Bro thinks he’s as powerful as gojo🤭

- I do like maki’s personal arc, “burn it all” is a powerful thing, there were no other alternatives but to start anew. She did what toji couldn’t.. wouldn’t?

-I just find it weird they had two children in the same family line with a heavenly restriction? Maki and Toji being cousins and having the same exact powers ? Not like him dying gave her the heavenly restriction.

-We should’ve had more moments of Maki and Megumi’s relationship as second cousins or a mentioned of it tho, Megumi doesn’t want to acknowledge he is zen’in but still would’ve been funny when others do. Mai was perfect for this.

Ok so I watched ep one of A Condition Called Love, the episode felt rushed but I was still curious enough about it, I ended up reading the manga.

So, this is definitely not for me, I don't find it wholesome as many do and I think my personal experiences makes it impossible for the suspension of disbelief to persist. I don't feel like I wasted my time reading it, there are some good things here like MC's girlfriends group or second ML natural progression, it was fun to talk it out with my friend too.

But I swear I really wish it was written differently, I think it could've been more interesting for me. Anyway, I'm sure there are other shoujos I can enjoy~

These two… I had so much fun with their in game interaction in 2.1 did not expect for them to be each other’s mirror in every sense of the metaphor. I forgot to post this lmao ok here are my 2023 thoughts:

This year was difficult because of health problems, tho they are somewhat under control, I still I'm struggling with making art. I go through waves of inspiration and dedication then slumps so its more like i try my best to do as much as I can when I'm able.

Always grateful I can get to show at least one piece per month, and I'm happy there are still people who enjoy my art as well. Here is for a better, healthier and safer 2024.
