I think if I had any issues with GOW:Ragnarok is 5 things.
No mention that Thor killed his mother. In GOW 2018, Mimir tells the tale of Fjörgyn, Thor's mother and one of Odin's great loves. It is implied that Thor killed her. It would give depth to why Odin is abusive towards Thor, his hatred of Atreus, self-loathing(aside from failing his sons) and explain why Faye went nuclear against Thor. Also? This would give context to why Thor is the way he is.
Odin doesn't use Kratos actions of murdering his family in turning Atreus against Kratos. I'm sure Kratos tells Atreus off screen, but does he? You'd think he would've told Atreus in the last game's ending or somewhere in Ragnarok. As far as we know all he told Atreus is killing Zeus and "I've killed many who were deserving and many who were not" implied, but never said. Kratos telling Freya was an important moment for them to understand each other. I don't think Kratos told him and considering how much of an abusive manipulative gaslighting prick that Odin is, it just felt like a missed opportunity not to have Odin use that to turn Atreus against his father and also a missed opportunity to have Kratos struggle to tell Atreus from his perspective on what he did.
Atreus darker personality never returned. I had this theory that Atreus "We're gods, we can do anything we want" phase would return as his Loki personality. Atreus quest to prevent Kratos' death would lead him down a dark path and lead his Loki personality to return. He would play both sides only to let Asgard burn in Ragnarok. There would be a boss battle between Atreus and his Loki side and Atreus personality would win and remain dominant. What we got was great, but I feel like Atreus' darker personality returning was a missed opportunity.
Kratos and Thor's final fight seemed tame. When I envisioned Kratos and Thor's final battle. I imagined this bombastic battle that would realm shift throughout the Nine Realms and would be the climax of Ragnarok. What we got was great. but I strongly feel like their final fight was underwhelming and it could've been more. I get the game was trying to show Thor is more than what the lore of the Norse saga and Ragnarok as a whole is showing us, but Kratos and Thor's final fight SHOULD HAVE been more.
Killing off Thor and Odin too soon. To me it's unsatisfying that Odin and Thor are killed off so soon. Thor has this great character arc and Odin was built up as this master manipulator and schemer and they die in the second game in this trilogy. Imagine how unsatisfying it would be if Luke Skywalker killed Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back and the Rebels killed the Emperor in the second act of the trilogy. Yeah that would've been so disappointing, wouldn't it? The story they told was great and I trust SMS. But it still feels like to me that they should have done a sort of cliffhanger ending. After Brok is killed, Kratos follows Odin, Thor and Odin kills Kratos. Kratos is sent into the realm into the tear, basically the realm where the dead gods go who cannot come back. He'd see Magni and Modi and Baulder and finally Faye and Faye sends Kratos back. Then it ends with Kratos pledging to lead Ragnarok and burn Asgard. For more in depth to this idea, watch the video down below. Point is I strongly feel like it was a mistake to kill off Odin and Thor in the second act of the Norse trilogy.
youtube
Bonus 1:Atreus not even looking into the tear with the mask was just bad. All they had to do was Atreus sees into the void, one minute later he takes the mask off, breaks it and tosses it into the void
Bonus 2. Odin's design. Thor's design is perfect, but part of me feels like he should have had armor
Tumblr media
Compared to the stories Mimir told, I imagined Odin looking something like this down below. The story for Odin is great, but imo the final fight should have been more. Like, King of the Aesir should have been more. The contrast between him and Zeus is he is the master manipulator, but Odin in Norse Mythology is the strongest of the gods and this game didn't show it. He had powerful magic to display but it didn't feel like this grand final boss of the Norse saga, like Thor it could have been more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonus 3. The Ragnarok itself is disappointing. Ragnarok was so built up to, but it honestly felt like the mission to actually get Surtr on-side was longer than the mission for Ragnarok. We saw nothing of the actual battle, Fenrir wasn’t there, and we didn’t even see the Army of the Dead! We could've gotten the Elves, army of the dead, the Dwarves lead by Sindri & Durlin, Vanir and even an army of Vikings/Raiders to represent Midgard. But we didn't. Plus in myth, Ragnarok was largely a battle between the Gods and the Jotnar - and yet the latter weren’t even present. I was fully expecting after heading to Muspel that Atreus would tell Kratos about the secret giants with Angrboda; that would have been an element of surprise that Odin didn’t know about! I’d been hoping to fight Thor on the back of Jormungandr or something, and for Fenrir to be involved in fighting Odin. So yeah. The Ragnarok in the game called God Of War:Ragnarok is disappointing.

De theonymiâ Fricco
Adam of Bremen names three gods worshipped at the Swedish temple at Uppsala.* Thor, whose name is given in its Norse form, Wodan, whose name is given in its Saxon or otherwise European form, and the ithyphallic (at least he, perhaps the others) Fricco. On account of his form & stated lordship, this Fricco is ever deemed the god called Yngvi-Freyr in Norse. However, I have not yet seen any clear explanation of why Freyr should be called Fricco, of the origins of this theonym.
One notion I have atimes seen is that Fricco is related to Norse Frigg. This makes some sense, in as much as Frigg’s name means peace or love, and these are exactly the lordships that Adam here attributes to this god. Indeed, Olaus Magnus, descending from this Adam, seems to place Frigg in Fricco’s place exactly. It seems however unlikely that Frigg would be carved ingenti priapo, a problem Olaus’ illustrator has failed to address. It is more likely that this would be masculine name parallel to Frigg, as Freyr to Freyja, or Fjörgynn to Fjörgyn—something like an Old Swedish Frigger. In such a case, I would suspect that the god whom the name refers to is not Freyr, but his father Njörðr, the husband of Skaði (harm), who is very likely the aramitama name of Frigg.**
But this solution—that Fricco is Frigger—is foolish. I know of no reason why a geminate, and so particularly distinct, -gg- should be devoiced. Furthermore, how a suffix -(e)r would be rendered as -o is also unclear. Those who wish to beg may appeal to the Latin verb fricó, which indeed has a derived sexual use in Martial and Plautus (t. Lewis & Short). But it seems to me incredible that Adam would so defile the name just to make such a contrived pun, if he would even know the lewd meaning. Other theories may be better sought.
Fr-k(k) is in fact a rather rare sequence in Norse roots. Cleasby & Vigfusson can offer us only three roots of antiquity to which Fricco might be akin. One is frekr, meaning greedy, ravenous, harsh. This is a word for a wolf in general and also, weakened, the name of Óðin’s wolf Freki. This is an unlikely name for a beneficent god.
Another is the verb fríðka, which C & Vs report with no citations and an alternate form fríkka. This means to grow fine and handsome, which is certainly fitting, and it is the only choice with the appropriate vowel already. However, this seems a later derivation (fríkka is obviously the later form) and without sources I cannot trust in its antiquity.
But the third is the most promising. This is frakka, whose fame is better seen with the English form franca—for this is this word for some sort of weapon that the famous French & their famous France are named after. Now, firstly, something like spearman is itself not an unlikely name for a god. But it is especially apt for Frey for two reasons.
i) There is a god in the same trifunctional position, next to Woden & Thunder, among the Saxons—Saxnót among the European Saxons, Seaxnéat among the English. This name, meaning dagger-comrade, also features the name of a weapon, and one linked to a particular tribe. Though it is unlikely that a god worshipped in Sweden would be linked to the Franks, especially at such a late date.
ii) Fricco is ithyphallic. And of course something like a spear or sword is a good highting for a phallus, and something similar is seen in e.g. famous Old English word for a trap or something, wǽpenwífestre.
The only trouble is in the vowel, and this indeed I can offer little about, save that perhaps i-umlaut is involved. Any better philologists are invited to account for it.
I do have to ask if Fricco might be the Frankish theonym for their tribal Third Function god which Adam applies to his Swedish form. After all, he uses the European form Wodan already instead of something from the Norse Óðinn; could he not have done this twice? And this would also account for the -o suffix, so alien to the North but so common in familiar Frankish names. But then, the geminate -kk- is unexplained; for this work we would need Frinco.
In summary, I say that the name Fricco is likely related to frakka, and means something like spearman, in both the literal and the lascivious sense.
*It should be noted that Sweden was the Elder & Holy Land of the Theodiscans, and that the Norse name of the Hebrew holy city Jórsalir was styled after that of their own Thedish Uppsalir.
**For Skaði has a detailed mythology of her ancestry and coming to the gods, and her continued displeasure, but disappears from the narrative precisely when she is made happy by marrying Óðin and is then said to bear him many unnamed children; meanwhile Frigg appears ever as Óðin’s wife and the mother of his children with no reference at all to whence she came. Likewise the Völuspá calls Frey Frigg’s delight, which is otherwise inexplicable except if he is her beloved son as seen in the För Skírnis. And then of course there is the obvious complementarity of their names.

Thor
SPOILERS FOR GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK AHEAD
In God of War, Thor is less of a consistent threat, and more of a minor antagonist. He's huge in stature, imposing and comes off cold. He's got the power to back up his appearance too. But throughout the story, Thor is shown to be depressed, reserved, and honestly broken.
Where, though, does this brokenness originate? The obvious answer is Odin, his father, but let's delve into the how, why, and theories I have on the why.
Thor was born to Odin and his Jotnar mother, Fjörgyn. Odin, despite his hatred of the Jotnar, adored Fjörgyn, marrying her. His love was so great that, according to Mimir, he was not the same after her death. It is implied by a lore marker that their own son was somehow responsible for Fjörgyn's unspecified demise.
It mentions that her body shall be borne to "where nevermore the Thunder may find her". In addition, the same Marker says that "for her gift of life, her life was claimed", further supporting this suggestion.
Its not clear when she died in Thor's life, but I have two ideas. One, Thor had a temper since childhood and in a fit, killed Fjörgyn. Two, Fjörgyn passed away giving birth to Thor and Odin, in his grief, blamed the newborn Thor. Either way, this sets the stage for the dynamic between father and son.
In game, we routinely see Odin insulting Thor, belittling him, and generally emotionally abusing him. Based on how used to it Thor seems, it's likely Odin has done that since he was a child. Odin claims Thor can't be gotten along with because he won't accept kindness, and has always been rude. Odin fails to acknowledge that's he is responsible for Thor's lack of empathy and inability to accept love.
Thor was raised as a tool, not a son. Thor's humanity isn't recognized by the person who was meant to love him. Instead, that person was the first to hurt him deeply.
Thor also references the idea of not thinking, saying Atreus's thinks too much, and saying "no thinking" often. This ties into Odin's abuse of Thor. Thor can't question him if he can't have an individual thought, thus Thor was taught to never think for himself.
This is why Sif is so important in his life.
Sif brings him back a bit, helps him remember he is actually allowed independent thought. He's allowed to make choices for himself and his family without Odin butting in. Unfortunately, there's little she, or their daughter, can do. Thrúd is convinced Odin isn't a monster so she doesn't stand up to him. Even when Sif reaches Thor, he struggles to act on her words and suggestions because Odin has the power, and mindset, to kill him if he stood being Odin's pawn. Which, he inevitably does.
Odin kills Thor at the end game of Ragnarok. Kratos finally reaches Thor, convinces him change is possible and in reach. Thor tells Odin no.
Odin runs in through in anger.
This all isn't to say Thor was a pure victim in life, absolutely not. He murdered hundreds of giants, abused his sons, and was generally regarded poorly by all. However, these actions were initially planted into him by Odin. Thor is an example of an abuse victim growing to perpetuate the cycle unfortunately.
With his sons, particularly Modi I think, Thor beat discipline into them from what Mimir had said. Something that Odin allegedly had done to him. Hence why when Modi returned home without Magni and the mission overall failed, he beat Modi near to death.
Thor is so convinced he's a destroyer, a problem, that he continues to perpetuate abuse until his sons are gone. Then he turns further into self hatred and self harm with his alcoholism, which, once more, only serves to further cause his family harm.
Tl;Dr: Thor is a deeply broken man who suffered abuse from very early in life at the hands of his father. He continues the cycle for many years, and when he finally tries to break it, it costs him his life.

Heimdall x Reader, wedding (PART 2/2)
Part one
As you walk to his room you wonder if he was jealous of you dancing with his brother, the thought makes you chuckle. You catch your reflection and you are all blushed now, from the alcohol, the dance, from the thought of what is to happen next.
You are at his door when you hear the voice of Thor’s mother – Fjörgyn your tired mind provides – whispering to you. Only half listening to it, you open the door. The dead Giant had said enough today.
‘Don’t bother with this one, darling. You will be only disappointed.’ Well, that certainly catches your attention. Who is she to badmouth your groom? Not that you have any high expectations of the man at this point.
“I wouldn’t have drunk, if I thought otherwise.” You answer softly to the soul and before she can answer, something else catches your attention.
“That,” Your husbands finger points towards you from his bed. “Is creepy as Hel.”
"Get used to it." You say, closing the door.
"Wow, edgy. Now, would you mind not occupying too much of the bed, wife? I like to have a space to stretch." His tone is arrogant, you start to think he does not speak in any other way.
"Your bed talk needs an improvement, husband." You add the same ironic emphasis on the last word as he did.
You climb alongside him on the bed. He makes space for you to lay on, but when you lean over him to kiss him, he stops you by a hand on your lips.
"I'm not kissing drunks." The hypocrite was as much drunk as you were. But you have a better answer for that, one that feels much more satisfying. "Pussy."
"I'm not kissing that one neither."
You laugh, burying your head in his chest. He tangles his fingers in your hair, playing with them. It feels nice. At least until he pulls on them and you yank back.
“Oops.” He says in a way that makes it apparent it was no accident.
You want to hit him, but he catches your hand.  “Ah, ah. Is that how you treat a husband?”
“When he’s a little shit, yes.” The alcohol brought easiness is slowly leaving you, making place for irritation.
“Impolite wives sleep on the floor.” He pushes on your hip as if he was about to push you off the bed, but you resist the little force he puts in it.
Instead, you move a leg over his lap, sitting down over his crotch, your skirt rolled to your hips. You can feel something, there, but certainly not a hardness. You are not sure if you are disappointed or glad that him acting like a spoiled child is not a form of foreplay.
“You better make dealing with that tongue of yours worth it.” You move your hips, pressing into his crotch. “Or are you trying to make me go away so you won’t embarrass yourself?”
You remember Baldur’s words and you can see on Heimdall’s face that he read in them in your mind even before you say them aloud. You guess denying them would be useless now, so why not piss him off a little to make him do something finally. “I can always ask your brother for help.”
For a moment you think he is going to snap and hit you, but then he smirks. “Oh, please, you are already embarrassing me enough, wife, acting like a whore on your own wedding night, letting your brothers-in-law get their hands all over you.”
He puts his hands on your hips, making them move more. “Maybe, husband.” You can feel him getting hard under them and to be all honest, it’s turning your up too. The harder he grows the more of him rubs you at the right places. “Ah- You should have danced with me instead.”
His hands slip under you, right where your bodies meet. His fingers spread around your wetness and rub on your clit. You have waited for this the whole night and when it’s finally here you get lost in the pleasure, barely registering his words. He’s saying something about that he should have fucked you in front of the whole hall likely. He seems the type.
He pulls his hand away and you nearly growl. “Hey, woman, wife, creepy-death-talker, you still there?” He waves the hand in front of your head.
“Hm..” You catch his fingers in your mouth, teasing them with your tongue and sucking on them lightly. You can taste yourself on them, but more importantly when you lock eyes, you can see that you managed to finally shut him up.
At least for a moment.
“Alright, you convinced me.” He pushes you off suddenly and before you can register that you are now laying on your back on the bed, he’s on top of you, untying his pants.
You giggle cheerfully. “Took you long enough.”
“Shut up.”
He kicks off his pants and climbs between your legs almost impatiently. You (similarly eagerly) slide your hand between your legs, spreading your folds with your fingers. It is a clear command on your side. One that he is happy to follow it seems.
You purr as he finally enters you, he is slow, which is honestly more that you would expect from his behavior until now. He pushes in patiently, letting your body adjust before finally finally he starts to move.
You wrap your legs around him, using the leverage to mirror his thrusts.
“Ah-“ He gasps. “What was your name again?”
You don’t have it in you to get mad, not now.
“Y/N.”
“Y/N.” He repeats after you with all the devotion worth a goddess.
He leans to kiss you, forgetting his own promise about not doing that and hits just the right spot inside of you.
“Y/N.” He whispers to your lips.
“Heimdall.” You barely have enough breath to answer, as he fastens his thrusts. It sends waves of pleasure through your body and you hold on him, as if you were about to lose him if you didn’t.
You know when he’s about to come, his cock twitches inside of your and his thrusts get harder. You lean to kiss him but he buries his head in your shoulder instead. Spilling inside of you.
You let him catch his breath, but when he pulls away, leaving only cold to settle over your heated body you are met with a sudden wave of clarity.
“Hey.” You gasp. “I’m not finish yet!”
“That’s your problem.” He is already turning away from you. But it takes but a thought you of telling him that ‘you will get to his brother to finish off the job then’, for him to get over you again, his fingers moving between your legs.
He thrusts his fingers into you, while his thumb rubs your clit. He is fast, almost too fast for it too be only pleasurable and you want to tell him to slow down, but all you can get out are moans and yelps. The nail of his thumb scratches your clit and it hurts but it gets lost in al that pleasure.
You scream when you come, your whole body twitches and he still moves his fingers until you still, trying to catch your breath.
Only then he pulls away, wiping his fingers into your dress.
“Done? Good. Don’t wake me when you get hangover in the morning.” He falls back to the bed and closes his eyes.
He is such an asshole but you can’t get yourself to care at the moment.

Had this elaborate weird GoW dream where I was arranged to marry Týr, then helped him in his plans but had to erase my memories of it all to keep me safe in case Odin managed to capture me.
Imagine Týr working with one of the Giants to use a combination of Aesir, Vanir, and Giant magic to prevent Odin from easily figuring out how to unravel the spell. But this goes VERY wrong, maybe due to Odin or his allies/minions interrupting the spell. Týr's s/o now has no memories at all, with just vague intuition and flashes here and there when she sees or hears something or someone familiar. Týr is kidnapped but manages to send his beloved somewhere secret while they're unconscious.
They don't know where they are or who they are, but they manage to remember little bits over time after coming across the Giant prophecies and statues of the gods. They knew Týr, and they think they were very close with each other. And when Odin finds them years later, they're still not entirely all there. But with Týr imprisoned, Odin takes on his form and--once Kratos and Atreus "rescue" him--he insists on finding his beloved so they can't fall into Odin's clutches.
Kratos and Atreus manage to find Týr's amnesiac s/o, and when they all return to Sindri's home, s/o can't help but feel strange about reuniting with their husband. They hoped they'd get their memories back entirely after seeing him again, and while some DO come back it isn't that clear. He's very kind and warm to them, but whenever he talks to them or touches them...something feels off about it. Would the Týr in their scattered memories really say or do something like this?
Tyr admits he'd changed drastically due to the trauma he endured as Odin's prisoner. But he's so happy to finally be with them again. He spent so many years worrying about his beloved, hoping he was able to keep them safe and far from Odin. And now, they're together again! With his and his allies' help, their memories (and secrets) can definitely be restored somehow.
I'm just imagining the fucked up aspect of Odin disguised as Týr using his son's wife to try and find out what Týr's been hiding. And at first it's just a strategy to get what he wants, but a part of him (a part he would call "soft" and "sentimental") would enjoy having a wife again. And this one's much more compliant and trusting thanks to their amnesia and dependence on him to get their memories back; plus, they're a good fighter, and knowledgable of some magic and other things not even he knew about. Týr must've inherited his father's attraction to intelligence, among other things. Odin has no doubt that Týr's s/o taught things to Týr the same way his Frigg taught him, but unlike Frigg, Týr's wife couldn't betray him.
Hm. His main priority is getting the mask, but enjoying a happy marriage/do-over courtship for the first time in years is a nice bonus. He keeps finding ways that they remind him of his great love Fjörgyn. Despite his hatred for the Giants, he loved her more than anyone in the Realms; and despite how much he hates Týr for betraying him worse than a son ever should betray his family, his wife is so loyal. That kind of love is a precious thing, and if the real Týr can't experience it, then Odin is happy to do so in his place. It's an extra punishment to his traitorous son on top of everything else.
Also: Brok finds all the affection and cutesy glances and all form of romantic shit on Tyr's part to be vomitous and overly sappy. The fuckin god of war better not bang up him and Sindri's broom closet too bad, but it's not like there's any other place Tyr and his memoryless wife can get up to anything alone. Hell, how d'you give a lady some of your branch when you're the size of a whole fuckin' tree? Freya better know some spells on how to heal a broken pelvis, assuming Tyr isn't as cowardly and peckerless as he acts around the others. Brok just reckons he's lucky most of HIS lady friends were always taller than him, as opposed to the other way round.

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Happy Thorsday - Fjorgynn, The Mountain God
Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters.  This week it’s Fjorgynn / Fiörgynn mentioned in the Prose and Poetc Eddas.
His name has been translated from Old norse to mean 'land' or 'earth' and Old Germanic 'fergunja' as "mountain". With different inferred meanings of 'ore mountain', 'earthen mountain', and 'tree covered mountain'. all seemingly to indicate a vastness in scale. Though there is some discussion that the name comes from "Ferga" meaning a "god" And is considered the masculine version. With Fjörgyn being the feminine and attributed to Thor's mother.
He is the father of Frigg.
It stems from Proto-Germanic *fergunja, meaning 'mountain', perhaps 'mountainous forest'

Neoni, deity of nature and life
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gaia, Terra, Fjörgyn, or simply Mother Nature. Neoni goes by many different names.
She's one of many deities from the pegan religion most Hinalla believe in. The most important one, to be more precise. Representing nature and life and being the creator of those as well.
She has the ability to shapeshift into any living being. From the microscopic small, to the gigantic big. From animals to plants and everything in-between. Usually using this ability to fit into her surroundings and the culture who worships her at any given time.
Mother Nature's other ability is it to create any kind of life, if good enough conditions are giving. Such as the right temperature, access to fluid water, a suitable atmosphere and of course, a planet or moon to begin with.
Neoni may be many things. Kind, caring and loving (and a bit hypersexual...), but one thing she's not, is fair. She may be judging, but she'd never take sides. If anybody decides to destroy her, she will let them do it. Knowing it will "bite them back" later. And she can easily be influenced by other deities, them often playing a part in Neoni's creation.
Her human character design is heavily "inspired" by Te Fiti from Moana, one of my fav 3D animated Disney movies. Te Fiti is also the main inspiration for my personification of nature in general. Even if it at first was completely subconscious until I started to see the similarities when rewatching the movie. The other drawing of her being the form she's commonly seen in when around Pantara. One of my fictional species. Both are rather old drawings.

alright some minor verses details for youta below
ffvii
as one of the last known cetra ( the other being aerith ), youta has isolated himself both to protect his bloodline and to stay out of the reaches of shinra and specifically hojo
having previously been hiding, the turks eventually tracked him down and took him to hojo to be experimented on where he met cloud and zack. while his cetra bloodline was unknown to shinra before them, it quickly became apparent when the mako injected into him had no affect. as such, they preformed many additional tests and injected him with numerous jenova cells. instead of turning into a monster though, he gained something akin to immortality and a small amount of telepathy.
he had helped cloud and zack escape, though he fled on his own soon after as to avoid being caught again by others. as such, he's unaware of what happened to them
after these events he settled at the junon for a small amount of time until shinra came in, causing him to settle at the chocobo ranch instead. during this time he realized that he was now immortal, or at least aged incredibly slowly as he physically didn't look past 24 when he was first captured by the turks, though this is yet to be proven as not enough time has passed for him to be totally certain
the small amount of telepathy he has allows him to talk to the chocobos, though he can use it with willing humans as well. he doesn't for obvious reasons, but he can
because of this and also because of his cetra ancestry, the area around the ranch flourishes with foliage and many different types of plant life
persona
a college student that formed a bond with akira after making a deal with him. in exchange for akira helping him find a way to pay for his mother's hospital bills, youta teaches him how to grow various plants with numerous beneficial effects, as well as discounts at rafflesia
as a bioscience major, he's attending a prestigious university on a full ride scholarship. however, he might have to give it up in order to pay for his mother's hospital bills instead as well as take care of his two younger siblings in case anything happens to their mother. however during all this, he has a looming deadline for an incredibly important project that could propel his career forward, which could eliminate any of his monetary struggles if he succeeds. unable to choose what to do, he holds the hanged man arcana.
should he instead be a persona user, his starting persona is konohanasakuya-hime ( shortened to sakuya-hime ) and his awakened persona is fjörgyn. by maxing out his confidant, akira can summon / create gaia
as for persona 4, the same things apply but instead of being at tokyo, youta returns home to inaba to care for his mother / family while he's on break
demon slayer
could've sworn I had this written down somewhere but anyways he's the nature hashira ( a style derived from water breathing, and what flower and subsequently insect breathing stem from )
his weapon of choice is his polearm, and his techniques focus more on defense and poisoning / keeping his enemies back instead of pure offense.
this being said, he is among one of the strongest users of nature breathing that has existed, and he can kill high ranking demons should he have to go all out defense
ffxv / xvi
a member of the crownsguard / the undying respectfully
mostly focuses on intel gathering and recon, but is willing to help noctis / joshua out in combat if they need his help
besides his polearm, he has an affinity for using magic as well. though he must make his own spells as he doesn't have the capabilities to naturally use magic, so he's also a rather skilled spell / potion maker ( though he keeps the latter a closely gaurded secret in xvi for obvious reason )

Day 12 of Norse November. Fjörgyn, also known as Jörð is a personification of earth and nature, a true goddess and a radiant spirit. She was also Óðin’s first wife and the mother of the thunder god Thor. They later had a divorce and she married Heimdall, in some interpretations it was an affair, in others it’s just that Óðin has been married multiple times

Odin manipulating Týr's magic-using s/o and opting to erase some of their memories instead of imprisoning them with him. Keeping them in the same prison is too risky, but he would want to keep Týr and his s/o close in Asgard if he were to imprison them. So instead, Odin is "merciful" and binds s/o's memories with magic. If he plays his cards right he might be able to convince this naive and amnesiac s/o into teaching him magic that they never would have while he imprisoned their beloved.
And when he takes on the guise of Týr, he decides to give them SOME of their memories back. Now they know that Týr was their beloved, but that's all Odin lets them remember; if they start to recall too many details of their relationship, then they might notice Odin!Tyr isn't who he claims.
It's odd. They know that they have fond memories and feelings for Týr, even if they're muddled and missing. So why does it feel strange whenever he's around them? Maybe it's because their memories aren't entirely back. But when he asks them to use their magic in front of him, even if his explanations are reasonable it just feels weird. Like she shouldn't be doing this, or that she swears she taught Týr all about her magic before. Why does he want to learn it again? Is she misremembering?
And somehow whenever he's intimate or affectionate, even when s/o can't recall their life with Týr, it feels...different. Wrong, almost. Odin's definitely not above manipulating her and trying to gain her trust by doing EVERYTHING Týr would do as a loving husband. But s/o can just tell that Týr's "affection" wasn't quite like this before when they were together. He's holding her differently, touching her in ways and places that (even if she can't recall) just make it feel different.
Odin!Týr is basically trying his best to groom Týr's wife into believing he's her husband, that she should teach him her magic, and he'll also try to prod her memories of Týr's secrets into resurfacing. It's a delicate and dangerous balance though, since he can't risk too many memories of Týr coming back and having her figure out he's an impostor.
I'm also imagining Odin might be a bit of a selfish bastard in another sense while he carries out this plan. After all, he's been lonely for a while ever since he and Freya separated, and Týr's wife reminds him a lot of his beloved Fjörgyn--granted, with her memories altered, she's a lot more naive and trusting than she used to be. Part of him missed having that kind of companionship, so getting to enjoy it by pretending to be Týr and essentially courting her all over again as he builds her trust is nice for him.
