theres another member of zarbons species in the moro arc of dragon ball super! he transforms into a differentmonster form than zarbon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuzun! i know him! or well, i kinda know him. i'm not really caught up or invested in anything Dragon Ball related beyond Buu Saga, but i've learned somewhat about him.
i think he's pretty neat! and i'm really happy they expanded Zarbons race just a little bit with Yuzun. though you hate to hear how he went out... there's no peace for my mans race. i hate this solar system. fuuuck.
#ask#shelbybunny#i like his design :) although its really hard to top zarbon's.............. <- sorry just those combinations of words turned off his brain.#understand okay?#i think his monster form is cool! idk if id be as weird about his monster form as i am with Zarbons :) but i like him#i dont know if Super would have this part in the anime... idk anything about super... but i imagine Yuzun having a surfer dudes voice#kinda like yajirobe's voice yknow#atleast that was always my first impression. though i guess i could see a similar regal voice coming from him#though ogh those wrist bands. i dont think anything for me could top Zarbons arm warmers#Zarbons arm warmers have always stuck out in my brain as like one of my favourite details.#literally would love to have some like... thick pink nylon arm warmers. thats how ive always imagined Zarbons to be#or a fabric similar to nylon. that smooth soft fabric yknow. that good shit.#i think if i wore those my brain would turn off because id be stimming those shits.#anyway :) yuzuns really neat. continuously happy knowing theres more of his race than just Zarbon#fuck frieza girlies. there'd be so much more of Zarbons race if it werent for that bitch bastard.#i'll never get behind the frieza zarbon dynamic. ive always kinda seen zarbon as being afraid of frieza#like its more obvious near his last few episodes in the show but. ugh man.#i believe what zarbon said in his final moments of saying he'd turn to vegetas side and go against frieza.#then that little bitch put a hole in him. horrible horrible. hate on planet namek.#anyway! thank you for the ask :) i appreciate getting to talk about Yuzun a little bit

Do not be fooled by how I talk about Frieza btw bc man I love knowing that what I'm doing is detrimental to the character's relationship with the plot and other characters.

like obviously vegeta is full of these moments of sentiment between the bullshit but i really do think nothing will ever top brink of death fully given up hope vegeta getting back up to laugh in friezas face when he sees that goku is here. they werent barely even friends.
#red.txt#for someone who talks a lot abt how goku is like inferior trash that one moment where hes like ha! frieza you stupid bitch! this is the#pinnacle of the sayain race! haha!#especially after saying the same thing abt himself not to long ago and being proven so incredibly wrong#its just SUCH a good moment and j think its easy to miss in the face of everything else going on w#vegetas death#but like. MAN#and vegeta in his own way still trying to connect w goku and get him to understand where vegeta is coming from#vis a vis his connection to his people and his family anf his homeworld#and i think thats interesting if u consider frieza as the exemplar of this colonist power#and for vegeta to finally realize he CANT succeed against it alone and that#to give goku the push he needed he HAD to level with him and find that connection between them and try to reach out#and really just be honest with him in the 'i am and always will be a little boy who lost everything'#and for goku to meet him in the middle with 'this was never my home. im not going to be a sayain like you. but i can be a sayain like me.'#was SO good#i think abt gokus response to frieza of i am the sayain from earth! sooo much#because of the way vegeta and piccolo respectively have had these two different perspectives on their heritages#vegeta as someone who loved his culture deeply and had it ripped away from him#vs piccolo who never really had a connection to it in the first place and is only as an adult trying to reckon with#how his people here vs his life on earth interact within his own identity and trying to make sense of that#and goku kind of striking that balance of embracing his lived experience as an earthling#while paying respect to that home and culture he never got a chance to know with burying + honoring vegeta#its SO fucking interesting

I also love how Vegito and Gogeta are not only distinctly different beings, and the former is conducted primarily by Vegeta while the latter is conducted primarily by Goku - but Vegito is clearly the more benevolent and emotionally involved of the two people, while Gogeta tends more towards frigidity and vindictiveness. Because as individuals, Vegeta’s “good side” is just as subliminal and rare to witness as Goku’s “bad side,” right; Vegeta is not a nice man by nature, and Goku doesn’t have a grudge holding bone in his body. Goku’s lack of any impulse towards vengeance is the only reason Vegeta is still breathing. This is well established.
But when Vegeta is shown to care for other people, it always manifests as him lashing out in defense of them against some greater source of cruelty - he gets pissed at Beerus for humiliating his father, he attacks Beerus for hurting Bulma, he freaks out on Cell for killing Future Trunks & knocks Present Trunks out immediately after hugging him for the first time, because he knows his son would insist on staying with him through his kamikaze attempt on Buu. Because Trunks is like that. Because Trunks is his son.
And Vegito takes that principle and drags it out to the extreme! The whole first fight with Buu is just him playing this sadistic cat and mouse game, very much in the arrogant style of Vegeta, but he also makes constant mention of the loss of Gohan, Goten, Trunks and the others - using the language of “stealing” “hunting” and “kidnapping” that brings to mind Vegeta’s own childhood trauma. He displays some aspects of Goku’s personality of course, with the playfulness and the attempts to get Buu to surrender, but Vegeta is obviously steering this ship. It’s his confidence and self-superiority that makes them lose the fight, and his belief in the necessity of a warrior’s “pride” that he explicitly cites as his reason for looking down on Buu.
Because this is what Vegeta’s attempts at “good” look like, right? Preternaturally violent and egotistical, but with a sense of protectiveness and paternity that renders his behavior heartwarming, at least enough to show you that he’s grown from the smirking, bloodthirsty garden gnome he was first introduced to us as. Underneath all the bravado, Vegito is aggrieved on behalf of someone else. He’s being kind in the only way he knows how.
Gogeta… is not that guy. He doesn’t do rescue missions, and he doesn’t feel the need to remind you of his superiority. He portrays himself as an avenger, not a defender, with lines that evoke a sense of justice and consequence like “it’s over, I’ve come for you” and “your own bad energy will be your undoing.” He snidely tells Frieza he’s coming back for him after he’s done with Broly, even though he’s visibly incapacitated and not really picking a fight. He forgoes Vegito’s up-close and relatively simple combat style in favor of these dramatic, wide-ranging attacks, more like an act of god than a natural disaster. And while Vegito allowed Buu to play with him a bit, postponing the end of the fight to sate his own lust for battle, Broly doesn’t even get to touch Gogeta once he goes super saiyan, his dedication to the pursuit reminding you of Goku’s final battle with Frieza.
…Except Goku offered Frieza clemency, and looked genuinely disappointed when he rejected it. Gogeta does no such thing. The audience gets to watch, half in awe and half in horror, as he renders this uber-aggressive Saiyan attack dog into a flailing, incoherent mess, not bothering to stop and ask him to surrender even though the updated Broly is a much more sympathetic character than Frieza or Majin Buu ever were. He enunciates the final kamehameha with such gravitas that you actually feel scared for Broly - and in the older movie, when Janemba switches back to his original form, he takes one look at Gogeta’s glowering face and scurries away in terror.
Hey, remember how Gohan fled in fear when Goku (under extreme duress) threatened him during the fight with Frieza? After he transformed into a super saiyan for the first time, guided only by mindless rage after Frieza’s pointless killing of Krillin? During a fight which only began after Vegeta, someone who caused him immeasurable harm in the past, told him to avenge the killing of both their families & the genocide of their race? All of which took place on a planet which the earthlings only had to travel to in the first place because the Saiyans killed several of their friends - a slaughter which Goku witnessed the aftermath of, at which point he told Nappa “there will be no mercy for you, you bastard” in the original manga?
Goku gets slotted into this role quite a lot, doesn’t he. He’s a protector, but also a savior, a planner, a consoler, and an avenger. He does his best to help people and he raises hell when he can’t, but he’s not vengeful by nature. Quite the opposite. See how he treats Vegeta in the Namek saga, smiling at him and bantering with him like he’s a coworker, and not the guy who crushed his bones to dust while cackling with sadistic delight.
But that’s because Vegeta only did that much damage to him. Nappa killed all the others - with Vegeta’s eager permission, yes, but that’s still enough distance to allow Goku to psychologically seperate him from those crimes. Goku’s clemency initially emerged as a byproduct of his desire to help people, but we have seen that same drive give way to brutal punitiveness when he fails, and somebody he loves dies. You can argue that it's misdirected self-hatred, anger at his own inability to be the hero those people trusted him to be - Krillin died screaming “Goku!” you might recall. The removal from other people Goku grew up enduring feeds into his sense of responsibility for the community that grew around him as an adult. He knows how important he is, and it hurts when he comes up short.
And I think that, understanding Gogeta to be primarily led by Goku but still notably impacted by Vegeta, that intense drive towards retribution the fusion displays takes on more meaning. Vegito exemplifies Vegeta’s better impulses, which are brought out in full force by Goku’s influence - Gogeta exemplifies Goku’s ugliest inner desires, with the leash he usually keeps them on loosened by Vegeta’s influence.
Because Vegeta was knocking down 100+ sentient creatures per day as soon as he could walk. He spent most of his adult life as a pampered slave, he murdered one of his oldest companions without a second thought, his introductory panel shows him munching on a severed limb, ffs. Vegeta has been through a lot, and I'm the last person to downplay that, but he hasn’t been going through it emotionally involved. He's used to this. He had to be. If he wasn't, his whole psyche would've collapsed by age twelve tops.
But Goku? Goku had to do all of that with his feelings turned on! And he chooses to remain steadfastly good and give second chances no matter how bad the situation, and that’s a healthy enough way of dealing with all this horror. But a side effect of being guided by that choice is the knowledge that he could be worse, he could be crueler. He’s a lot like Gohan, in that sense.
And Vegeta used his dying breaths to beg Goku to abandon that long-abiding impulse to show mercy. Goku might believe in forgiveness, and he might’ve let Vegeta go because of that belief, but Vegeta is a stubborn little bastard. He thinks that it’s holding him back, allowing people to slip through the cracks; to get hurt. And we’ve established that these two are both capable of misdirecting self-anger at others, though Vegeta does it much more often than Goku.
So when Goku’s mind is merged with Vegeta’s, and he’s forced to look back on his decisions to allow horrible people to live not with pride, but with regret and disgust, it manifests as Gogeta. A walking overcorrection, the sentient reconciliation of these two belief systems. Who doesn’t forgive and doesn’t forget, self-assured and bitter and terrifying, like Goku was for the first twenty seconds after he went Super Saiyan. Like he always told himself he wouldn’t be.

What if Chichi died from the heart virus instead of Goku….
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I made this AU a long time ago but haven’t drawn it till now. Have a short fic in the writing with this concept but who knows when I’ll finish it lmao. Other than that, I see saiyan lore potential that Vegeta will share with Bulma that sort of explains Goku’s need to distance himself from everyone after Chichi’s death.
Saiyans are a ‘mate’ race, and since they initially were conquering planets (pre-Frieza), they usually died alongside their mates. So this left little possibility of one dying off on another planet while leaving their spouse/mate behind. It’s unusual for saiyans to die before their other partner, they are a pair species so they usually share the same lifespans anyways. This leaves Goku devastated and instinctively in a depression, along with the exception that he also isn’t like other saiyans, the usual saiyan would t*ke their own l*fe but he is just trying to process the grief of losing her so suddenly. Vegeta has only seen this instance happen like twice when he was younger and with his father handling it and explaining to him the biology behind it.
As for Gohan, he is devastated and goes through denial for a solid month until Goku decides to leave him with Vegeta and Bulma. He has to deal with his grief in his own way and without the help of his father, which makes him resent him for a small time until he finally comes to terms with his mother’s death and tries to understand his father and what he might be going through. On the bright side he learns a lot from Vegeta while he stays with his family and grows up for a bit with Trunks. Trunks starts to view Gohan as an older brother during the time he’s with them and they remain close later on in the story.
Everyone else (all of Goku’s other friend’s) is surprised and shocked at the news and they each feel guilty for not attempting to connect with Chichi beyond surface level interactions but they soon appreciate the little moments she shared with them before her untimely death, leading them to believe and later on confirm that she knew she had the virus.
Goku takes years to try and improve himself and find ways to provide for and raise Gohan before he finally takes him out of Vegeta and Bulma’s hands. The two are awkward at first but they quickly comfort each other before they arrive back in their lonely home where they last shared a moment with her.
Overall very angst lmao. Also Goku and Gohan are wearing versions of Chichis outfits, Goku is wearing the light green version of the gown I have Chichi in a previous art I made, Gohan is in her signature purple outfit.

I watched Castlevania: Nocturne the otger day and liked it a lot less than you seemed to, so I want to hear a more detailed opinion if you have one. Am I in the wrong to think it was more shounen and less "deep" in some way?
I'd say it's definitely more shounen. Introducing the "Richter can't do magic because unresolved trauma" thing right from the jump meant a Believing In Yourself powerup was pretty much inevitable, but I liked the execution of that scene enough that I didn't mind much.
It doesn't quite have the backbone of the original Castlevania, which was grounded so strongly in Dracula's apocalyptic grief - a motivation the audience is directed to find deeply understandable from minute one - that it gave the characters a solid thematic core to play off of. This let the writing stay pretty tight by letting Trevor serve as a foiling mirror for Dracula in their mutual disgust with the failures of human kindness, Sypha for Lisa in their altruistic use of their knowledge and their vilification for "witchcraft", and Alucard in the middle torn between worlds.
Nocturne is more loose and character-driven, but it still has a core theme - the argument over "the natural order" and how that plays into a fear of change from those currently on top. However, Richter doesn't really have a horse in that race, since his motivation starts and ends at Kill Vampires while everyone around him is more complex, trying to overthrow the aristocracy and free the enslaved and such. I think this makes Richter feel a little less important than Trevor was, narratively, because he sort of stands apart from the core philosophical debate at play. It took me a few episodes to get what his deal was and start caring about his self-actualization, and I think he's definitely got further to go. Possibly Alucard's presence in season 2 will give him more to play off of.
I think Nocturne has several independently interesting villains instead of one really good villain, which is a complaint I also saw about Castlevania season 4 - I liked Death just fine, but he really didn't work for everyone, and the secondary villains like Saint Germaine were much more interesting and complex. Nocturne does, however, pull off something Castlevania didn't as much, which is most of the characters acting on their own internal consistent motivation without cleanly falling into the "good guy" or "bad guy" box, causing them to slide into and out of conflicts and alliances depending on the circumstances.
I feel like Bathory is kind of a weak core villain with almost no human-level motivations or ideas beyond General Villainy, and the extent of her development being a darkest hour shonen villain powerup/frieza transformation doesn't help much, which is why I'm kind of holding out hope that they just bite the bullet and bring back Dracula. He's the nemesis from the Castlevania games, and while they gave him and Lisa a happy ending in Castlevania season 4, I don't think they need to keep him on the bench forever. It's been 300 years, Lisa is almost certainly long dead again and Dracula doesn't need to be full Mad With Vengeance Burn Down The World to still be a credible problem in need of a little Belmonting.
I had fun with season 1 of Nocturne with the understanding that the first four-episode "season" of Castlevania wasn't representative of the final shape of the story either. Sypha's character, for instance, was very flat before she and the gang went on their season 2 bonding adventure, not much more than some banter and infodumps. I think Nocturne did solid setup of the cast and the theme they'll be unpacking, and it has lots of room to explore these characters in interesting ways once they energy-ball-tennis Bathory out of the way first.

So! As I mentioned in my prior post, a Dragon Ball themed amusement park has been announced, and I am using this as an excuse to make a series of relevant posts.
A few years ago Universal Studios in Japan offered a special attraction for Dragon Ball fans, “Dragon Ball Z The Real 4-D.” It was one of those short movies where the theatre interacts with the film by hitting the audience with water/air blasts/ whatever to ‘enhance’ the experience. You can find the 3D animated video from the attraction on youtube and I recommend you do, it’s worth a watch. But more importantly, they released a bunch of merch you could only get in the park!
….or on ebay, if you’re me and couldn’t manage a trip to Japan.
My favorite item?
Tumblr media
Behold the glory of my Frieza… cup? You strap him on to your body and sip the fluids.
Tumblr media
Mine has a busted horn, these things happen when you buy used. I intend to repair him some day. Wait, Muffuletta, did YOU break him?!
Tumblr media
How do you drink? Why, you suck on the straw of course! Which happens to be his tail.
Yeah.
Well, I have done extensive research (by which I mean read a lot of naughty fanfic) and can confirm he is okay with this as long as you don’t bite!
Tumblr media
Will this smug guy be available to buy in the new park? Probably not. But he’s relevant and so I am finally posting about him after meaning to for… literally years. Whoops.

I just want your innocence (vegeta x fem!reader)
Word Count: 2,105
Summary: After discovering Vegeta is a virgin, you decide to make a move.
Warnings: smut, fem!reader, loss of virginity
@actuallysaiyan @carnal-lnstinct MY CONTRIBUTION TO THE VIRGIN!VEGETA PROPAGANDA HAS ARRIVED
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The conversation arose one day when you were hanging out at Bulma’s house. Somewhere along the line, Krillin began talking about a horrible date he’d been on recently. Everyone had laughed about that, and swapped stories about their times in the dating world. It had been Bulma who mentioned the milestone of losing one’s virginity.
You remember your first time with semi-fondness. It had been a sweet teen fling, but of course it hadn’t been all that satisfying with all the fumbling hands and worried questions. An awkward silence hung in the air as everyone relived their first time in their minds. Bulma seemed to be the only exception, as she batted her eyelashes at Yamcha and bragged about how sweet he was to her. You’d faked a gagging motion, while Krillin teased Yamcha over his romantic nature.
“How old were we then, Yamcha? 18? 19?”
Yamcha scratched the back of his head nervously and chuckled, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Bulma. I was definitely younger than that.”
“How? You couldn’t even look at me when we first met!” Bulma chastised him, and Krillin laughs too before turning to fill you in on how hopeless Yamcha was with girls.
It was then Vegeta made his untimely entrance, freshly showered after a long day of training in the gravity chamber. A towel was wrapped around his waist, and his mouth opened to ask Bulma about more clothes. Before a word could come from his mouth, Bulma is turning to him with such a mischievous smirk he seemed to be mortified in anticipation of what was to come next.
“What about you, Vegeta?” she ask, “Who was the unlucky lady or guy who took your v-card?”
“My-WHAT?” Vegeta’s brow twitched and you swear the vein in his forehead is becoming visible.
“Your virginity, duh,” Yamcha added, never missing the chance to one-up Vegeta. Although you felt it was a cheap shot to do so when Vegeta was faced with earthly terms he obviously wouldn’t know.
You hadn’t expected Vegeta’s reaction. All the color seemed to drain from his face, and his shoulders went slack as he tried to fumble for an answer. His angry facade returns quickly.
“And who are you to ask something so intimate of the prince of all-”
“Virgin,” Krillin chortled.
“Excuse me?” Vegeta’s voice booms through the living room. “A prince does not kiss and tell!”
“Definite virgin,” Bulma agrees. “Nothing to be ashamed of, Vegeta! You’ll meet the right person when the time comes.”
Still, she leans into Yamcha and giggles against his shoulder. Your brows furrow as everyone continues having a good laugh over Vegeta’s predicament. The prince himself is so stunned his jaw hangs open and his face is beet red. You gently kick Bulma under the table, raising your brows so she’ll cut it out. Her face is red, but she’s trying not to giggle anymore. You know she’s had something of a fixation on Vegeta since he moved here, and they’ve certainly butted heads. Still, treating him this way was wrong.
“Vegeta, you don’t have to say anything,” you say finally.
“Tch! I know that, woman!”
He stomps off, mumbling something under his breath. You watch with a sinking feeling in your stomach. When you consider how Vegeta had spent most of his life under Frieza’s thumb, it’s really not all that surprising he hasn’t experienced intimacy. It was nothing to be ashamed of, but the rest of the group began to laugh among themselves as soon as he was gone.
“Maybe if he cracked a smile every once in a while,” Yamcha chuckled.
“He doesn’t even have to smile,” Bulma sighs. “If he’d just be a little nicer.”
Finally, you excuse yourself from the group. They all try to call for you, trying to get you to stay. You find Vegeta’s room and knock shyly on the door. At first, he doesn’t answer, but when you knock again he sighs softly and tells you to come in.
He’s surprised to see you of all people opening his door shyly. He’s still wearing only a towel and in your presence, he straightens his previously defeated demeanor. You close the door behind you before flicking the lock and smile at him softly.
“I’m sorry about them,” you say as you walk across the room. You sit down on the bed beside him.
“Hmph.”
“You don’t have to say anything,” you sigh softly. “I understand if you’re angry with me-”
“You didn’t do anything,” Vegeta sighs.
“I know, but…It still wasn’t right for them to say those things.”
You reach over to take his hand, trying to get up the nerve to say more. Vegeta scoffs and pulls his hand away from you. Your heart hurts, but you scoot a little closer.
“Vegeta, can I ask…why?”
“Ugh, ‘why’ what? Don’t be so vague, woman!”
You sigh and roll your eyes, “You could try not yelling at me. Plus, y’know I have a name.”
“Whatever,” he growls. “Just get to the point.”
“Fine,” you huff. “Why are you still a virgin?”
“Tch. That’s a stupid question,” he rolls his eyes. “I just never had time. There’s no time for silly romance when you’re taking over planets.”
“So? You’ve been on earth for a while now.”
He looks away, “That doesn’t mean I’m just going to fuck anyone who spreads their legs.”
“Ah, so you are romantic! Is there someone you like?”
His cheeks heat up and suddenly he can’t even look at you. Of course, you of all people would ask him that. He does find it sort of cute that you’re so oblivious. You scoot closer to him, your eyes trailing down his chiseled profile to settle on his lips.
“You can tell me,” you say. “I won’t tell anyone.”
“Is that so?” he chuckles.
“Yeah! I promise. I’ll keep it a secret!”
Vegeta doesn’t answer. Instead, he turns to you quickly and presses a rough, slightly clumsy kiss on your lips. You gasp softly, the knowledge settling over you suddenly that you must be the one he likes. You giggle before leaning in to kiss him again. Your fingers run through the tufts of dark hair spiking out from the nape of his neck. Vegeta shudders from the affection. It’s so unknown and foreign to him, but he can’t get enough. He leans forward, effectively pushing you back until you hit the bed, and then he’s hovering over you. Soft, wet lips eagerly find yours again. His hands cautiously rest on your waist, just below the curve of your tits.
He growls softly when your tongue drags against his bottom lip, quietly asking for permission. His lips part and his tongue meets yours in a sensual caress. As soon as he feels that, his mind goes to incredibly lewd places about where else your soft, warm mouth would feel so good. His cock hardens almost instantly, and he presses his hips against yours. He relishes the sweet little moan you let roll through your throat when you feel his cock pressed against you. You both are flustered with your lips swollen from heated kisses and hearts pounding.
“I could be your first. If you’d like…” you trail off shyly when you spot the smirk on Vegeta’s face. He kisses your lips quickly before moving along your jawline.
“Naughty little thing,” he whispers. “You came here just to be the first to have the mighty prince between your legs.”
You try to protest, but you know his words ring true. You wanted him, but you didn’t want it to seem like sympathy sex. You’d been interested in Vegeta for a while. Somehow knowing of his inexperience almost made him seem more approachable to you. Although if you’d known the truth of his feelings, you would’ve made a move much sooner.
For all of his big talk, Vegeta begins to feel nervous as he sits up on the bed and begins to undress you. You help him when he fumbles, which to most would be comforting but only hurts his pride even more. He doesn’t even know how to properly undress a woman, how is he ever going to pleasure you like a prince should? He can’t help noticing how your excitement never wavers even when you have to take off your own bra. Instead, once you’re nude you seem to hunger even more for his touch. You pull him close again for another sloppy, excited kiss. Your hands are all over him, taking in every dip and curve of his muscular physique. He grunts when you near the base of his back where that small tuft of fur is all that remains of his tail. He shudders as your fingers run through the fur.
“Don’t touch me there,” he growls.
“Sorry,” you pull your hand away. “I didn’t know.”
Vegeta scoffs quietly but returns to his previous mission of kissing every inch from your neck to your chest. You moan softly, making his heart feel like it’s going to pound right through his chest. He’s not sure he can take it slow any longer. He rips the towel from his waist and tosses it aside. You spread your thighs for him to slot between.
“I’m going to do it now,” he says awkwardly. You stifle a giggle.
“Okay, uhm, do you need me to help?”
“No! I know how to do it, woman!”
You arch your brow at him, but maybe he does know. He does have access to a computer here, after all. You wouldn’t doubt if he’s watched some porn in the dead of night. He presses his cockhead to your slit and rubs it between your folds. Your arousal makes his cock feel slick. Every time he hits your clit, you’re more and more excited to feel him inside of you. You pretend not to notice him look down to make sure he has the right hole before pushing the tip into you. Just from that, his head is spinning.
By the time the head pushes through the tight ring of your entrance, his balls feel so unbearably tight he wonders if he should stop. His head falls forward, just barely missing yours, and he pants heavily. His grip on you is so hard you’re sure to have bruises. He’s tense above you.
“Are you okay, Vegeta?” you ask as you stroke his cheek. He can’t even answer.
He just nods before pushing the rest of his cock into your warm, wet walls. He can’t believe how good it feels as you squeeze so snugly around him. His cock is already throbbing. He doesn’t know if he can stand to move an inch. Yet you’re lying there, so expectantly. Your fingers run through his hair, and your eyes are so heavy with lust as you look up at him.
He thrusts once, twice, then stops. His heart is racing and his cheeks are burning. Your walls flutter so well around him, he feels like a blubbering fool. You reach down to grab his ass, gently nudging him to keep going. He growls as he thrusts two more times. On the fifth thrust, he cries out and his body curls into yours. He holds you close as he sloppily thrusts thick shots of cum into you. The pleasure of his orgasm is more intense than anything he’d ever felt before and more satisfying than any battle he’s ever fought.
It’s only when he comes down from his high, that’s he absolutely mortified by what he’s done. He growls as he pulls out of you, and recedes completely. He covers up with a blanket, too embarrassed by the sight of his half-hard cock still leaking with the remnants of his arousal to keep it revealed for your eyes. After all of his bragging, and he didn’t even make you finish. He’s quite sure he didn’t even get you close. He feels like a joke.
“Damnit, woman!” he growls. “Why didn’t you tell me…?”
“Tell you what?” you giggle softly before crawling over to him, pressing tentative kisses on his shoulder.
“That it would feel so good! A warning would’ve been nice.”
You roll your eyes before pressing his hand to your pussy, still leaking with his seed, “Yeah, I could say the same.”
He scoffs, but can’t completely pull his hand away. He finds himself pushing the cum back into you with his fingers almost by instinct. You kiss his shoulder again, then bravely kiss his lips.
“The good news, is that we can do it again.”
Vegeta softens up. He certainly likes the sound of that.

If there's one part about Vegeta's arc that I absolutely love, it would be this:
Tumblr media
His regression in season 8 was very well done. It wasn't shoehorned in and it made sense. I remember seeing on Reddit years ago people complaining about this specific part of his arc, saying that it made no sense for him to regress the way he did when he was redeemed at this point. But consider this. It makes perfect sense when you factor in one thing: he wasn't redeemed yet. He was still going through his redemption arc by this point.
Vegeta wasn't raised to be a family man. He was raised to be a killing machine. He was raised with the idea in mind that he would one day be the king of the Saiyan race. All of that got taken away from him. His belief that he was the strongest Saiyan alive was taken when Goku became a Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza, and again when Gohan became a Super Saiyan 2 and killed Perfect Cell. And then Goku makes the choice to stay dead instead of coming back to life via the dragon balls. So now, Vegeta's one rival, the person who he swore he would one day surpass and defeat is gone for good. So all Vegeta has left at this point is the family he created with Bulma. Something that he most likely never envisioned for himself. So he decides to live a life on earth with her and their son.
Everything seems to be going fine for Vegeta....until the World Martial Arts Tournament happens. And Goku decides to return on this one day so that he can participate. Suddenly, all of the feelings that Vegeta bottled up over the last 7 years since Goku's death comes rushing to the surface. Finally, after all this time, Vegeta could finally prove that he's better than Goku. They even get matched up to fight each other in the tournament! How lucky is that, right? And then this guy happens:
Tumblr media
And just like that, Vegeta's chance to fight Goku is now shattered thanks to this new threat to Earth. Instead of his attention being on him, Goku has his sights set on defeating Buu before he can be revived. For the entire time Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, and the Supreme Kai are in Babidi's lair, Vegeta is angry. He's waited 7 years for the chance to fight Goku again, and now that he finally gets the chance to do so, this happens. We see Vegeta's mood get worse and worse throughout the time they fight Babidi's minions, and it's gets so bad to the point where Babidi is able to get Vegeta under his control. Now, as Vegeta pointed out later on, he actually could of fought off Babidi's mind control. But he chose not to. Why? Because he saw how powerful Babidi's minions were while they were under his control. So Vegeta figured he could use some of that power to do this:
Tumblr media
Fight Goku without any interruptions. Which is what he wanted from the start. Even though he knew that fighting would give more energy to Buu and thus revive him, Vegeta didn't care. So long as he got to fight Goku. Keep in mind that this is the same guy who let Semi-Perfect Cell absorb Android 18, despite the fact that he knew it could end up being a bad decision. But Vegeta didn't care because he wanted a good fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now there's one line that Vegeta said to Goku during this fight that always stuck with me from the moment I heard it back when I was a kid. When Goku asks him why did he do all of this, Vegeta responds with "Because I wanted him to reawaken the evil within my heart. I wanted him to return me to the way I was...BEFORE!!! I WAS THE PERFECT WARRIOR! COLD AND RUTHLESS! I LIVED BY MY STRENGTH ALONE! UNINHIBITED BY FOOLISH EMOTION!!! But slowly...over the years... I became one of you. My quest for greatness gradually giving way to this life of mediocrity. I awoke one day to find that I had settled down and formed a family. I had even grown quite fond of them. Would you believe, I almost started thinking that the Earth was a nice place to live. Do you understand now, Kakarrot? That's why I needed Babidi! To set me free! By releasing the evil within my heart! He has freed me of these petty attachments. And I have to say it feels pretty good."
That entire speech he gave to Goku summarized PERFECTLY the internal conflict that Vegeta had going on within him. On the one hand, he wants this. He wants to feel strong again. He wants to defeat Goku and prove that he's better than him once and for all. He wants the life of a warrior back, because for so long that's all he knew. But on the other hand, he knows that the way he's going about it is wrong. Like he just admitted to Goku, there's a small part of him that loves the life he made for himself, and that he loves his family, too. Which is why Goku then says to him "Do you really believe what you're saying?". Now, Vegeta doesn't respond to this, but he doesn't have to. His silence is his answer. After that, the long awaited fight between these two begins. And after a while, Vegeta does come to the realization that he fucked up big time, and that he needs to do something to make up for it. Which is why he does this:
Tumblr media
He knocks Goku out while his back is turned. Why? Because he wants to fight Majin Buu alone. Because if it hadn't been for Vegeta's desire to fight Goku, Majin Buu probably wouldn't have gotten the energy he needed to be revived. So Vegeta decides to take full responsibility for everything and take on Buu himself. To me, this is when his redemption arc comes full circle, because of his sacrifice. He knows that he can't beat Majin Buu through normal means, so what does he do? Blow himself up in an explosion that he's certain will destroy Buu along with him.
Tumblr media
Vegeta even says in his mind that he's doing this for Bulma, Trunks, and even Goku. Something that I'm pretty sure a lot of us never thought we would ever hear him say. That he's doing something for other people. That he's not doing this for himself. I'm pretty sure that he saw this as his way to atone (hence why this move is called "final atonement" in the video games) but the fact remains that he did it anyway. Sure, we see Vegeta get angry when Perfect Cell killed Future Trunks, but still. That moment can't compare to this one. All in all, Majin Vegeta is the best part of Vegeta's redemption arc and the way how it's written really did an excellent job in wrapping it up.

Okay, so I finally got around to watching Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero the other day, brought to you by the same people who came up with the name Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.
Bulma's shameless, confident vanity continues to reinforce why she's the best character in Dragon Ball.
Tumblr media
I need everyone to understand that this might actually be the funniest moment in the whole franchise. It's silly on its surface, but it's also steeped in Dragon Ball history. You can feel Piccolo dying inside, and there's a reason for that that goes much deeper than third-party embarrassment over Bulma's shallownness.
Bulma's cosmic butt-lift is a continuation of a gag from Broly (the good version). In that film, it was established that Bulma routinely uses the Dragon Balls to knock a few years off her age, for the sake of vanity. This was contrasted against Frieza's desire to use the Dragon Balls to add a couple inches to his height, for the sake of vanity.
Both of which are resurrections of the gag from the Red Ribbon Army arc, where Commander Red brought militant warlord violence to all corners of the world to claim the Dragon Balls for himself... so he could make himself taller. Using limitless cosmic power for petty and shallow reasons is a funny joke that Toriyama's fond of.
But this isn't just about the shallowness. It's about Piccolo. Or, more specifically, the other half of Piccolo that is Kami-sama. Dragon Ball is steeped in religious and mythological imagery, primarily Buddhist. A fantasy spin on it with a lot of fictional elements added, but there is a lot of genuine Japanese spirituality in there. Which is why God Almighty is now walking around as one half of Piccolo, with a substitute God ruling from his Temple in Heaven in his place.
During his reign, God gifted the Dragon Balls to mankind so that they would have a cosmic miracle they could turn to in times of great need. Shenron was meant as a great gesture of benevolence; The difficulty in summoning him is to serve as a particularly grueling trial, one that only the most determined and most worthy could fulfill.
However, that didn't exactly go to plan. Rather than a source of hope for the world, the Dragon Balls became objects of lust for its greediest and most corrupt. Near-limitless reality-shaping power to grant any miracle one could ask for, wasted on petty ambitions and selfish desires. God regretted ever making this cursed things.
When Piccolo killed Shenron and destroyed the Dragon Balls, God's response was basically, "Good riddance." The Dragon Balls were a mistake he could now take back. He had no intention of ever remaking them.
But then Goku defeated Piccolo. Goku ascended into Heaven to implore God to return the Dragon Balls to earth. Goku's pure innocence, his kindness, and his strength of character convinced God that there was good in the Dragon Balls. That they were worth remaking and returning to the mortal world below.
And now. Here he stands.
With this woman. The woman who utterly trivialized his great heavenly trial by inventing a handheld radar that beep-beeps all of the Dragon Balls' locations for you, allowing them to be easily collected in the span of a weekend excursion.
Watching her call upon his great reality-shaping miracle, so that she can get a butt-lift and slightly longer eyelashes.
While strongly insinuating that she does this every time the Dragon Balls regenerate. This is the legacy of his cosmic miracle.
Bulma is the greatest heretic in the history of fiction. That is why Piccolo is dying inside. This joke killed me. Almost as hard as Piccolo visibly wants to kill Bulma right now.

Alright. So. Character arcs.
A character arc is a character's personal journey within the context of the wider plot. It takes the concept for what a writer wants to do with a character and turns it into a story all on its own.
So, for example, Leon in RE2. The concept of his character is "a naive rookie police officer gets his blinders ripped off and is shown that the world isn't always so nice."
That's not the plot of RE2. It's just the plot of Leon's personal story -- it's his character arc. The arc takes him from the starting point "a naive rookie police officer" to the end point "shown that the world isn't always so nice" and writes out the progression of that happening.
Character arcs come in four forms:
Positive change arc: the character undergoes a massive change in their worldview that changes them for the better
Negative change arc: the character undergoes a massive change in their worldview that changes them for the worse
Flat arc: the character doesn't change at all because that's not the point of the character; the point of the character is to effect change in other characters
Recursive arc: the character changes (either positively or negatively) and then changes back.
Most villains, for example, have flat arcs. They don't change throughout the story; they start a bastard and they end a bastard. But they're so much of a bastard that the plot and the characters all bend and break around them. Frieza from DBZ is my favorite go-to example of a flat arc. Frieza just fucking exists, and he effects major change in several of the main characters as the plot bends around his villainy.
Actual change arcs (positive or negative) deal with taking a fundamental lie that a character believes (either about themselves or the world) and exposing it for the lie that it is and forcing them to accept the truth. How they react to the truth is what determines whether it's a positive arc or a negative arc.
Leon Kennedy, as a character, goes through two negative change arcs back-to-back in RE2make and then recovers with a positive change arc in RE4make.
This is different from a recursive arc.
A recursive arc would bring him right back to where he was prior to his negative changes. RE4make doesn't do that. Leon is never the same person that he was at the start of RE2make ever again. But he definitely gets better from where he ended.
Character arcs follow a simple progression:
the starting lie that the character believes
moments of doubt that challenge that lie
the point of no return where the character can't trick themselves into believing the lie is true anymore; the moment where the character irreversibly (unless it's a recursive arc) changes
the new mindset that the character adopts as a result of their change
So, going into RE2make, for Leon:
Lie that he believes: Social hierarchies and institutions always serve the greater good, people are good by default, and things will work themselves out because there's an order to the world -- the good guys always win, and the bad guys always lose.
This lie gets challenged multiple times before he finally accepts that his worldview is flawed and needs to change.
Doubt moment #1: Marvin points a gun at Leon and tells him to leave the police station without him
This is the first big moment where Leon has to confront the fact that things don't always work themselves out. He went into his relationship with Marvin thinking that if he could just get him out of here, he'd be okay. But Marvin was never going to be okay, no matter what Leon did -- and Leon's so insistent on not believing that that Marvin has to point a gun at him and order him to leave without him.
Doubt moment #2: Ben Bertolucci's death
Even though Mr. X is the one who physically performs the act of killing Ben, what really killed him was Leon's unwillingness to let him out of the cell because he felt like he had to ask for authorization to do so. The strict social hierarchy that Leon has been subscribed to gets challenged here, because if Leon had just said "fuck the rules" and opened the cell, Ben would've lived. And Leon knows that. This gets further reinforced when Leon listens to Ben's tape and he has to come to terms with the fact that Ben died because Leon was insistent on asking permission from a corrupt man who had no business being a caretaker for others in the first place.
Doubt moment #3: Ada's reaction to Kendo
At this point, Leon still thinks that Ada is FBI. He's utterly shocked by her callousness and expresses to her that he joined the force to help people like Kendo and his daughter, not just write them off and kill them when things got too hard. Ada tries to impress upon Leon that not everyone can be saved, which then reinforces the idea that things don't always work themselves out.
Doubt moment #4: Annette tells Leon that Ada is a mercenary
He's suspected it for a while, but he's still not ready to wholly believe Annette, because he's still clinging to the idea that people are naturally good, that the FBI is a sacred institution, and that no one would be so horrible as to lie to someone else in a very serious, horrifying situation like a zombie apocalypse. But with Annette's revelation, he's getting very close to the breaking point.
Change moment: Ada admits to using Leon and points a gun at him
This is the big moment. He can't deny it anymore. There's no going back now. Ada was dishonest, titles like FBI Special Agent don't matter, and things don't always work themselves out because some things are beyond human control, and some of the things that are within human control get manipulated by bad actors.
This moment changes Leon's worldview forever. There is no way for him to go back to what he initially believed, because this moment definitively shattered it. There's no "lol jk you were right all along" coming anymore. Leon has to accept this truth, because the world is no longer giving him a choice.
State of mind as a result of his change: People can't be trusted, but as long as I look out for myself, I'll be fine.
At the end of RE2make, Leon stops trusting people outright and starts to believe that he can only trust himself and his own judgment. He buys wholly into the idea that the only person who will ever have his best interests in mind is him.
He's changed for the worse. He's unwilling to trust other people or open himself up to others at all; it causes him to retreat.
As a result of this new mindset, he feels confident enough to tell Claire to leave Sherry with him so that she can go find Chris -- because, again, he's the only one who can look out for him, anyway.
This, however, is also a lie, and it's one that gets immediately disproven.
Change moment: the CIA kidnaps Leon and Sherry State of mind as a result of his change: It's not people that are the problem. I'm the one who can't be trusted -- my judgment can't be trusted, so I should just keep my head down and follow orders.
I feel like this one is pretty self-explanatory. Leon made a judgment call that blew up in his face so spectacularly that it caused him to reflect on his previous change arc and realize:
Yes, it's true that Ada was dishonest, and yes, it's true that things don't always work out -- but, if I had had better judgment, none of this would've happened in the first place.
His first arc caused him to retreat; this change moment causes him to surrender. Leon willingly gives up everything that made him him because this change in viewpoint effectively destroys everything that he thought was true about himself and the world around him. It leaves him jaded and directionless, and he stops trying to find his own answers; he willingly surrenders his autonomy and his agency because of how completely he's come to distrust himself.
This is also the lie that he brings into RE4make with him. What he believes here -- while not without merit -- is still untrue. And RE4make is determined to show him that it's untrue.
Doubt moment #1: Hunnigan verifies Luis's identity
When Leon meets Luis, he tries his hardest to just ignore him and not engage in conversation with him at all, because he doesn't trust himself to make the right judgment call when it comes to interacting with people he meets on his missions. But he finally takes a chance and decides to trust his own judgment of Luis being shady, which Hunnigan confirms by revealing that he used to work for Umbrella. This is the first moment of many that Leon's gut instinct turned out to be right.
Doubt moment #2: Cabin sequence
This is a one-two punch of a gut instinct call to send Ashley away (which pays off when she saves both him and Luis) and then a risky decision to trust Luis, despite knowing that he's former Umbrella. He has to take this risk, because Ashley's plaga puts him in a position that forces him to make a decision. Either he trusts Luis, or he reports back to Hunnigan that Ashley's been infected.
And he knows exactly what happened the last time the government found out about a blonde girl under his care who was infected. (Really says a lot that he trusts an Umbrella researcher before the government he works for.)
Doubt moment #3: Mendez fight
Another decision to send Ashley away pays off when she, once again, comes back from the outside to save his ass. He gets a smile and a helping hand to his feet as a reward.
Now.
Because the lie that Leon believes is so strong due to the devastating nature and close proximity of his two negative arcs, his moments of doubt get tested over and over again as the lie attempts to pull him back in. This forces Leon to commit to his positive change, because those are his only two options -- either he commits, or he surrenders. And his desire to save Ashley outweighs the fear and anxiety caused by his lie.
So, even though Leon doesn't actually believe in himself, he has to tell himself that he does.
Test moment #1: Ashley gets possessed and then runs away from him in tears Test moment #2: Ada tells him he can't save Ashley
Failing these tests would bring him right back to the start of his character arc, which is surrender.
He passes both of those tests, but only barely. This is why he's terrified to the point of his voice shaking slightly when he starts giving Ashley the pep talk. He doesn't actually believe some of the things he's saying to her because his change hasn't yet taken place, but he needs her to believe that he does.
Test moment #3: Leon gets trapped in the cage Doubt moment #4: Ashley frees him from the cage
Before the camera cuts away from him in the cage, he has to take a trembling, steadying breath. He's still terrified. He still doesn't believe that he's making the right decisions.
But then yet another judgment call pays off, and -- after his three big tests, Ashley is the most beautiful sight he's ever seen when she appears on that balcony. She has consistently proved him wrong in the best possible ways, and she's what causes him to start to believe.
Test moment #4: Verdugo takes Ashley & Salazar's ritual
This is the first time that Leon not only passes his test, but he gets high marks on it. He's not nervous or unsure this time when he looks up from the floor of the waterway and says: "Hang in there, Ashley. I'm coming for you."
But we can't yet say that he's had his big change moment, because it all comes very close to crashing right back down.
Test moment #5: Krauser's introduction & Luis's death
Krauser's emergence rattles Leon so much that it almost undoes all of the progress of his character arc so far. Instinctually and intellectually, Leon knows that Krauser is an active threat who just killed a man in cold blood -- and yet he still refuses to face off against him in a serious way, and he still tries to talk reason into Krauser.
The lie has him in a tight grip here, because Krauser was someone whose judgment that Leon has always trusted better than his own. So, surely, this whole thing must just be a misunderstanding. He's convinced that he's perceiving the situation wrong.
But he's not. It's still just part of his lie.
And now, the lie gets reinforced again as he watches Luis die. At this point, Leon has no reason to believe that he can actually save anyone.
This is why he's so ready to lie down and surrender again when he finds Ashley unconscious on the cot. Even though he gets the suppressant to her and she responds to it well, as soon as Leon's own symptoms return, his first instinct is to sit down and prepare to shoot himself. His confidence is in the fucking dirt.
Doubt moment #5: Ashley wakes up
Ashley has been the source of all of his doubt moments up to this point, and so when she wakes up, it's such a powerful moment for him that it soothes the panic caused by Krauser's appearance and Luis's death. Leon re-commits to his positive change, but there's still one last thing that has to happen...
Change moment: Krauser fight
Much like Ada pointing a gun at him, Leon is forced to confront his lie head on. When Krauser actually says the words out loud: "Worried about the girl, is that it? That's just like you. You always had poor judgment." there's no avoiding it anymore.
Leon takes a look at Krauser -- someone whose judgment he once trusted unquestioningly -- and seeing how far he's fallen, while also considering just how much Ashley has proved his lie wrong over and over and over again, inspires real and lasting change in Leon's perception of himself and his place in the world around him.
Seeing where Krauser's judgment has gotten him and comparing it with where Leon's own judgment has gotten him makes it very obvious that there's a clear winner.
His change moment starts with the words: "Nah, time for the teacher to be taught." and ends with him plunging Krauser's own knife into his heart.
If Leon still believed any part of his lie, he wouldn't have been able to take the final, definitive step to end Krauser's life.
But it's a new day for him.
Reinforcement of change: Waking up in Luis's lab
This is the payoff for Leon's change. Because he believes in himself so definitively now, he's able to finally win against Saddler in a battle of wills. He pushes back the influence of the hivemind, makes it to Luis's lab, and successfully removes Ashley's plaga.
He actually, really did it.
And not only did he do that, but he did it so well that he inspired Ashley to do the same.
State of mind as a result of his change: I have sound judgment and can trust myself to make good decisions, irrespective of rank or institutional assistance. I, personally, as Leon and not Agent Kennedy, am capable of making a positive impact on a person's life.
Take a look back at the lie that he brought into RE2make with him.
Now re-read his endpoint after changing in RE4make.
That is what a character arc does. That is the purpose.
Leon couldn't have saved Ashley without going through all of the changes that he did in between the start of RE2make and the end of RE4make. A guy with the attitude of "people are good and things will work themselves out" would have never been able to rescue someone from a violent, mind-controlling cult.
So Leon had to change into someone who could.

I just want to start a flame in your heart. - "I Just Want To Be The One You Love"
Gohan and Krillin had gone back and forth with the saiyan prince on who went into the healing tank first, Goku or you. Between the two of you, Goku had the most damage following the encounter with Ginyu, but yours were nothing to take lightly. You were human and by no means one able to manipulate ki like Krillin and the others, no treatment at all could be a slow and painful healing process even with the advanced alien medical supplies at hand. But Vegeta argued that Goku being the most useful should be the one to go first lest Frieza finally decides to return to catch you all short-handed and raise hell for all of you.
As you were slumped against the wall trying to stay on your feet, you finally spoke up. "N-No." Weighing the options before you, if you all wanted the chance to return home alive, then there was some truth in Vegeta's words. The tank was going to take longer to heal anyone, so Goku should be the one to heal up faster, as much as he can. "We'll need Goku, please let him heal in the tank. It's fine." Krillin seemed to hesitate but agreed, defeated with the stakes at hand. Goku was set up in the tank and the others were fitted in the battle armor provided by Vegeta for better protection against what remained. Krillin mentioned the elder namekian who surfaced their hidden power and suggested that he may be able to heal you as well. Though you were too weak to be moved and there was no guarantee that was an ability he had. Even being out in the open like that was risky with Frieza about. Krillin set out alone to check while Gohan went to stand guard, leaving you alone with your regrettably accepted ally and a healing Goku.
You managed to salvage what medical supplies you could and tried to balm and bandage yourself. Easing yourself into the only chair you started work on patching your swollen ankle. It burned like something was broken and hoped it looked worse than it actually was. No thanks to the stray energy blast you couldn't escape fast enough from. When you leaned over to inspect it, it felt like your eyes had crossed and the room spun in the opposite direction prompting you to sit back up, gathering your face in your hands with a soft whimper. You're not built for taking this kind of damage, it was a miracle for you to still be conscious after such an impact. Waiting for the ringing in your ears to subside, you took a deep breath and changed course, starting with your arm when the pair of white boots appeared in front of you.
You look to acknowledge the Saiyan Prince, seeing his mouth move and the words muffled in your ears as your head started to tilt over. He catches your head in both his hands making you look directly at him. It was hard for your eyes to stay focused on him, but you catch the wrinkle in his brow grow. Vegeta grumbles a few annoyed words to himself, pushing your chair closer to the wall so he could prop your head against it. Carefully guiding your head, he checks both your ears for signs of bleeding and then your nose. Lucky for you there was none, but he picked up on your dazed state watching you try to mend yourself and found the display pitiable. Second, of course, to his fellow saiyan currently in the recovery tank behind him.
"You earthlings have no idea what you've wandered into." Vegeta muttered contemptuously. What an earth woman of your power level was doing on the battlefield was the least of his concerns, but it had to be pointed out how stupid that was. Not that you caught his initial comment about your injuries to consciously respond. You and your fellows couldn't have picked a better time to come to this planet, he could do away with all his trifles in one place as soon as he gets his wish on the dragon balls. But unfortunately, he would have to rely on you all in one way or another until then.
You drifted in and out as Vegeta took over your patch-up, sharply snapping his gloved fingers in your face or, more harshly, pressing on painful spots to keep you alert so he knows you're not dying on him. Were you able to retreat from him you would. Despite what help he has been so far, it didn't compare to the damage he and his ally caused back on Earth and you're sure here on Namek too. But such thoughts carried a petty weight and it wouldn't save any of you now. Even for someone like him to take the time to help keep you alive, you managed to hold onto your consciousness a little longer. Annoyed, but alive to have that luxury.
"Thank you." You murmured genuinely through your daze, Vegeta lifting his eyes from his working hands to meet your gaze for only a moment. He sneered in response as he continued to work.
"I wouldn't thank me just yet, you know. This could be a complete waste of my time if your friends don't show up soon." He hints with a callous tone, a hard demeanor to maintain with such careful hands, and the white tips of his gloves smeared with blood from cleaning your wounds. But he is his nature, expecting a modest response to your gratitude was asking for much and you both knew you didn't have the energy to remark in kind. Doing this would also spare him the headache of the others fussing over your dead body if he just lets you die.
"For someone who worked for this Frieza person, you're a lot better than the others."
"Oh really, and what's that supposed to mean?"
What did you mean? Given the circumstances, Vegeta was more palatable than the rest of Frieza's henchmen you've encountered, for sure. The lesser of two evils, and all that. But maybe "better" was not the word you intended. Considering you've only known of his actions on Earth compared to his unprompted decision to help you was a little jarring, he was not what you expected. Your thoughts were all over your mind about it and body filled with too much pain to care about it too much. You give a weak shrug. "I guess... I dunno..." You want to fall asleep so badly. A tight pull on your bandages makes you wince, The Saiyan Prince chuckling to himself.
The last one to patch was up your sleeve, a wound the fabric wouldn't allow him to get to simply pushing it back. Moving through his efforts, Vegeta reached for the zipper of your flight suit and started to pull it down without a thought. Only when the sight of your revealed cleavage meets his gaze that he realizes what he's done and quickly zips you back up. You reopen your eyes and turn your gaze toward him, even your delayed reaction caught the sight of his wide eyes and flushing cheeks before he turned away from you.
Oh. So even the high and mighty Prince of Saiyans wasn't immune to an immodest moment. Honestly, if he had perverted intentions you wouldn't have noticed any in your state but a reaction that big couldn't be anything less of an innocent mistake. Still, to fluster the ruthless Vegeta with just the sight of your breasts hugged in your bra? It put a smile on your face, a soft giggle from behind your lips as you turn away with a light shade of flush in your own cheeks.
"W-What's so funny? I am patching your wounds, is all!" Vegeta quickly refutes any uncouth intent your mind may have conjured about him. His cheeks still glowing, but his scowl was certainly more feral. "Don't go implying any indecent behaviors from me or I'll leave you to struggle on your own, woman!"
"...(Y/n)." You corrected after laughing a little longer.
"What?"
"My name is (Y/n). Vegeta." He only grumped in response. You slightly adjust your posture and reach to undo your own zipper, Vegeta cautiously averting his gaze as you pulled it down just above your cleavage. The smothered sound of bubbles coming from the recovery tank reminds you that you are not alone, reeling in the temptation to fluster the Prince again. You were careful to remove your arm from your suit, then sunk back into your relaxed position.
"Did... Frieza tell you to come and kill our friends so he can have the dragon balls?" Your thoughts filtered out of your mouth without realizing it. Too late to take it back.
To your surprise, your freed arm is lifted back into his hands and you get a concise answer, "No."
"Oh...Then w-why you want'em?" You dared to ask feeling the frail hold on consciousness starts to slip away again. The cold touch of cleaning solution against your skin stops and Vegeta abruptly snatches his hands back.
"What's it to you?" He challenged. "I get my wish for immortality and the likes of you and even Frieza won't matter anymore. We're not going to be allies forever."
"Hmm...But you saw my boobs.." Thinking out loud again.
"I-!" Vegeta's face reddened in a mix of embarrassment and his own hot temper. He growled, then huffed weighing out his options. If he kills you now he loses all hope of getting his wish before Frieza. Instead, he stands up with a clenched fist and starts to pace back and forth. Your eyes follow him as much as you could before you were drifting off again. Vegeta lets you this time, restoring peace to himself. He stops in front of Goku's healing tank who appeared to be resting as well.
I'm taking back my birthright, Vegeta reflected. His destiny, so close to becoming tangible in his hands.
With another huff, somewhat calmer, Vegeta turns back to you. He approaches and flicks your nose to wake you back up. You blink a few times, vision struggling to focus on the Saiyan Prince and his familiar frown.
"What a pest. Don't go dying before your bald friend and the kid return." He warned, swiping up a needled syringe from the salvaged supplies and a small vile for pain management he found in his pacing.
"It's okay, Vege'... I won' leave you... If you're afraid..." You answered wearily, cracking a small smile. "Goku'll...save us when he arrives here." Vegeta rolls his eyes and filled the syringe with the liquid, promptly sticking it in your arm to give you a dose for your pain. A brief discomfort that like his bedside manners managed to recall your lucidity. Your other hand gently squeezed his wrist after he removed the needle, eyes seeming to wander before rolling into the back of your head as the nagging pains already started to dim. You let out a content moan, fingers slipping away from him as he moved to cast away the needle. He's really not so bad.
"Hey, I-If you're really...on our side for now...don't get my friends killed."
The Prince scoffed in response. A look of worry rose in your visage. You tilted your head in his direction. "Please... don't kill my friends."
You begged him, mercy asked of him before and denied for the thrill of slaughter. What made this any different when his destiny was on the line—What is one human's plea compared to the Namekians he took care of without hesitation or all those before who dropped dead at his feet? Your eyes softened on him, even heavy from exhaustion there was a twinkle in them that didn't go unnoticed. Drawing his focus into your gaze. "Please.."
Vegeta was unresponsive, staring over you from the gentle quiver of your pouted lips back up to your eyes. An anxious sensation ran through his chest, emptied it of its wholeness, and filled it with a bump of his heart warming the cage around it. Your hand reached for him again and his eyes appeared to widen as he impulsively withdrew from your reach, sneered at himself for doing so, and sharply turned away to hide his face from your eyes. He can't say why he retreated like that but somehow felt ridiculous for his unusual jumpiness.
"Stupid woman. They'll live as long as I need them to. You can imagine what happens after that." You blink slowly watching his backside, then close your eyes as the healing tank machinery and its bubbles filled the silence. A content hum vibrates behind your returned smile.
"You can buy me dinner."

Hi there, Frieza!!
I'm a researcher writing a book about the ins and outs of Icejin Culture. Seeing as you're one of the few left, I need your assistance.
What are some rarely known facts about your species? Customs? Taboos? Preferences?
Give as much information as you're comfortable with.
Thank you,

Nosy, nosy. Hoho...
Fine, I'll bite. Do keep in mind that some of this was learned secondhand-- despite holding the throne I prefer to focus on the business side of things and don't spend much time on my planet of origin. Further still, I prefer not to associate myself with the species at large, bearing my mutations and abject superiority in mind. As the prince of that sad lot, though, I'm obviously the most relevant person to ask. Forgive me if I ramble; I'll put it under a cut in post.
Now, let's see. 'Customs' could range anywhere from religion to breakfast preferences. I'll cover some of the ground in between, but I'm not going to type an essay for you. If you want more than what I give, send another message, and be more specific.
To begin with, the species has many names, as I've mentioned before. Here are some of the ones I've encountered in my travels:
Icejin (Most common.)
Arcosian (Scientifically accurate.)
Frost Demon (Fond of this one.)
Glaesar (Less common. Very formal usage.)
Polarite (Rarely used. Probably archaic.)
Suliform (I believe this is derived from 'Arcosulite', the unique mineral found in biogem shells.)
Changeling (Obvious origin.)
Culturally, the most prominent keystones are these--eloquence, formality, education, competition, and achievement. It's considered very rude to speak casually to someone with whom you are not close; you may think an individual is gibbering mad when he addresses you in riddles and tongues, but that's only because the general population is staggeringly naive. You must learn to read a room, and to never trust someone at first glance.
Or at first reading. Heh. I hope you've not been taking everything I say here at face value.
Children learn early on the importance of social hierarchy. Climbing it came naturally to me, but I've seen how the proletariat scrabble over each other with such thinly-veiled desperation. Resources are scarce on the home planet, after all; that is, I believe, why we became such competent spacefarers in the first place. Arcos is an inhospitable world. The few times I've visited it's been out of obligation to appeal to those remaining (mostly the elderly, infirm, or very young; nobody stays there long). I can't have them forgetting about their Prince, after all.
Ah, here's a fun fact--the point on Kuriza's head is a vestigial egg tooth. I only learned this after he was born; I'd no idea what the thing was for until I asked around. It's cute, isn't it? Evidently ovoviviparity only became the norm a couple of generations prior, and before that the egg would remain intact until a few hours afterward...
Hm. Let me think of more. I'll only bother with the interesting ones.
-Makeup denotes status. A nobleperson appearing without a full face of makeup in public is grounds for a legitimate scandal.
-It's possible to approximate a person's power level by their biogem color. The closer to violet, the stronger they are. Something, something, life energy -> radiation -> light frequency, something, something. It's also possible for gem color to change over time... infants and toddlers typically have duller, redder colors. Yours truly was the first person in recorded history to be born with purple gems. ;)
-Being relatively long-lived as we are, our written histories are frustratingly sparse. My father amassed quite a collection, though.
I could go on, but I have other things to do. That should satisfy for now.
Ah, but here’s one more for the road…
Something many people assume is that I'm entirely nude in my final form--untrue. There’s a thin layer of protective, flexible armor over the skin of important nerve clusters; the area you've all been so doggedly curious about parts during intimacy. I hope that clears things up. Now stop asking.
