i think the lovely thing about this fandom is that it is constantly growing and changing fr like… there are always gonna be new kids who fall in love with the show bc its the first production theyre apart of and older fans coming back to reminisce on the movie and everyone in between. and yeah it’s over and nothing New is really happening (yet. looking at u, uksies) but the foundation is here and it keeps on growing and i think that is so lovely and beautiful and im glad u all are here

I can't be the only Brit who feels like the current state of the UK seems... different, right? Like we've had plenty of crises before, but the sheer scale of the bullshit this time around just feels bigger somehow? As though something's about to crack, and everything's tense.

The cost of living crisis - especially with these staggeringly high energy prices. The climate crisis - with this summer in particular feeling especially obvious with such intense heatwaves. The NHS, underfunded and poorly managed for over a decade, genuinely feels like it's gonna collapse any second.

Perhaps my perspective is naive, or influenced too much by my own personal struggles atm, or my assessment premature, but I kinda just wanted to put some thoughts out there to see if folks feel similiar or not.

Can you IMAGINE?!?! I mean, I love and adore Taika and I can’t imagine anyone else as Blackbeard anymore (that ship sailed the second the camera panned up that gorgeous frame of his) but my mind very easily provides a very different BB (because we all KNOW how INSANELY TALENTED Pedro is when the camera’s are rolling) - GOOD LORD!!!
