So I haven't slept properly in the past 3 days. Have had way too much coffee today and I'm currently eating a box of alcoholic chocolates.
I have many ideas for fanfiction right now.
Idea 1: White Collar x DC. Fucking A/B/O universe. Tim is Neal, he is an Omega. His scent blockers make it appear as if he is a Beta. One day Jason in full Red Hood gear, come storming into the building smelling like an Omega nesting mother. In this universe Jason basically adopted Tim the minute he saw him. Everyone is freaking out. "Neal" stands slowly and reaches for his neck to remove his scent patches. His scent calms Jay down and and while the office is still confused they slip away. Nesting heat I would like some ABO without it being sexual.
Idea 2: White Collar x Disney descendants. Yeah I know. So the core for managed to sort of universe hop/dimension travel, it was one of Carlos's inventions and they can go back and forth. And Carlos ends up becoming Neal. In this universe Mal and Evie are Hades kids, Maleficent and Cruella had Carlos together (expand how you wish) and Jay is desperately in love with Carlos. One day Mal visits the office, to check if Neal is ready for "family weekend" Peter Burke is an ass, and is very demanding of what family weekend is because "Neal doesn't have any family, I would know." Mal tears down a bunch of assumptions. Like "why don't you have any records of him before he's 18?" (Dimension hopping but they don't say that) "What's his actual eye color not just the contacts?" (Chocolate brown) "Do you know he has to dye his hair to keep it looking like that?" (In universe the black and white hair is natural) "What's the name of his first boyfriend?"(Harry Hook, but he's with Jay now) "Do you know how many siblings he technically has" (Mal is a half sibling and Evie is her half siblings, other family? Is Oscar his younger brother in this universe.) "At what age did he try chocolate for the first time? No at what age did any of us have actual food for the first time?" (14 for Carlos, 15 for Mal, Evie was 16- I HC Evie as the oldest) "what were his mother's charges in her first arrest her second arrest and her third arrest?" (First arrest animal abuse, kidnapping, property theft. Second arrest conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, arson, and animal cruelty. 3rd arrest child abuse, animal cruelty, assault, sexual abuse of a minor, and second degree attempted murder of said minor). Diana and Jones are actually great. "So you wear the hat too?" (If you make this world have at least minimal amounts of magic it becomes even more fun, when abilities could be revealed)
Alt: Jay comes in and most the same information gets out but in a wildly different way
Idea 3: alternate universe where all of Batman's kids turned into villains of some sort. Dick Grayson as Renegade, Jason Todd as Red X or Red Hood, Tim Drake as jester after being Joker Jr, Damian is still a prince of the League of Assassin's, Cassandra is still Orphan only she's a terrifyingly silent assassin, Stephanie as spoiler becomes a better version of The Riddler as Clue. There are still found family vibes maybe the rest of Young Justice is also villainous of some sort. That universe comes in contact with a semi-normal DC universe, it's very disconcerting. Everyone is confused Renegade almost stabs someone, Jester is giggling hysterically, and whenever anyone asks about Batman they all flinch. In their Universe, Batman is a terrible dad (F-), in the semi-normal one he gets a solid B+
Idea 4: Danny Phantom x DC Universe. Bruce Wayne is a clone of Danny Phantom and he knows it. Danny can't really properly raise him since he is not really got a human life anymore and Bruce is still half human, but he still sticks around like the weird uncle figure or whatnot until the Waynes are killed. After that he kind of becomes more of a father figure along with Alfred who is definitely Clockwork in this universe. Yes that means that Damian Wayne is technically an Eldritch abomination of some sort. The rest of the surviving clones kind of act like aunts and uncles to the rest of Bruce's kids and it's great. Yes this is a trans Danny and trans Bruce universe because I stan (also I'm Trans and really appreciate it). Yes that means that Damian technically does have to be cloned unless Talia has a dick or Ra's al Ghul is the father. Maybe that means that all of Bruce's kids gradually become more Eldritch due to Eco- contamination. Jason is one of the most outfits because he died and came back, Bruce is more supportive in this universe, Danny is crying hysterically like I'm a grandfather of many Eldritch children. In universe that means as soon as Kon-El is revealed and Superman reacts badly, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne have a very public falling out. Also Conner is adopted into the family because why not.

@ofloveandknights I want to talk about Dr. Flug because people forget how evil he can be, and I love how lowkey but highkey it is.
3. What is something you have/ had a hard time forgiving your F/O for?
He has, and continues, to shrink aircrafts while people are still in them, and I don’t know why that’s the thing (out of everything else he’s done) that bothers me but it does. Doesn’t stop him, but he doesn’t talk about it with me either.
6. Does your F/O at any time get all soft around you? Are they only soft to you in private, or do they allow their walls to come down even if there are others present?
He’s actually very sweet to me when I have his attention. We’re not really bothered by having others present, but he does try to stay focused, if we’re out running errands for Black Hat.
12. What made your F/O fall for you? Was it a slow burn or did it strike them like lightning?
It was actually a slow burn. He didn’t think much about partners or relationships, but once he had feels for me it was hard for him to ignore it. Same for me too, honestly.

2. when in canon does your self insert come in? do you have a scene in mind for your entrance?
Bitch I got a whole damn episode.
Early on in the series, sometime in season 2, Dean gets it into his head that in order to find their dad and track down Azazel, they need expert help, and should seek out the Demon's Bane/God Slayer, a hunter folk hero revered for their talent with demons and gods. He's got this idea of some grizzled old man with a big shotgun and has no idea it's actually a tiny androgynous nerd with big glasses.
They track the Demon's Bane to a known hunter bar, and while they're in town discover a rash of murders that they believe to be supernatural in nature. My first appearance is at said bar, I stop by their table to laugh at their inquiries and tell them the God Slayer doesn't exist. My next appearance and actual introduction is when I save them from what they realize is a rampaging deity, and just when they realize that "oh shit, it's this little bitch???", cut to commercial.
Yes, there will be a fic one day.
10. how do the other characters feel about your self insert and f/o’s relationship?
So many characters I could answer this with so I'll just do some of my favorites.
Crowley finds it funny and endearing, but then me and Crowley have a very odd, very humorous frenemy relationship. We may be on opposite sides of a holy war but I'm so polite and reverent to him that he just can't help but like this funny little human and their awkward angel lover.
The other angels (not including Gabe, of course) are indifferent or a little weirded out. After season 9, the angels, except for Metatron, actually really like me and allow me to lead/help them alongside Cas.
For the most part, it depends on my relationship with the character. No one is really opposed to our relationship, they just either find it strange or, in the case of our friends, ship it way too fucking hard.
15. how does your self insert play a role in the plot of the story? do they help directly defeat the villain, support the heroes, etc.?
I'm a main character just as much as Sam and Dean because of fucking course I am, deal with it. I help to balance out their weirdly toxic and codependent relationship, give them someone else to focus on besides each other. I temper Dean's aggression and bolster Sam, and offer a perspective on hunting and the supernatural that makes for some really interesting discussions and plot lines.
What I'm saying is that I'm the long-lost answer to so many of that show's most basic problems and you can deal with it, ya dig
16. freebie! name a fact about your self insert you want everyone to know.
They wear a black cowboy hat that becomes an iconic symbol of their status within the world. For example, when they temporarily give up hunting and their legacy to live a simple life with Castiel after he becomes human, helping him cope in a new world he doesn't understand, they hang up their hat on the door of the bunker and leave it behind with the Winchesters after their argument. It's symbolic and sad and heartbreakingly bittersweet, and it's even worse when they're interrupted while making dinner for Cas at their little apartment by a call from Sam asking for their help stopping the angry goddess who's kidnapped Dean for being a horny idiot (remember that episode? 🙄) and they give Cas a kiss and sadly put it back on. They can't escape the life any more than any other hunter.
What I'm saying is that the yeehaw hat is great. Don't disrespect the yeehaw hat.

Honestly, I thought he would throw me out or something...I mean, that was a Demencia-level pickup line!
(Found a cheesy pickup line on my Dash. I don’t see myself actually using it...but I thought Me/g could have been dared to say it to BH and see what happens. She was honestly expecting him to react like he would if Demencia had said it. The actual response has left her frozen.
Unsure what to do next. (She/I is/am not forward at all, so this is quite the pickle. lol)
On a side note, this was my first time drawing BH with the newspaper. Instead of looking for a screenshot like a normal person, I was lazy so just...did it from memory.)

8. what is your self insert’s orientation?
Asexual but will absolutely drag Cas into the back of their hearse at any time. Their asexuality is very much played as a lighthearted joke for most of the series; for example, they're totally oblivious to the Winchester's magnetism and they have a few hilarious scenes where Dean tries to get them into various strip clubs or other sexually charged situations to try and figure them out. It's implied that they're not romantically attracted to humans but do like supernatural beings--they go on a date with a cute vampire girl and will return flirtations from various other beings but have zero reaction to mortals. Makes for some humorous misunderstandings when Cas temporarily leaves Jimmy's body.
9. who are your self insert’s closest friends?
Besides the Winchesters, they're good friends with Charlie and have a very strange and highly entertaining friendship with Crowley, although they're not necessarily "close".
Absolute 100% ride-or-die besties with Garth--put these two together and they're just the biggest dorkiest nerds who are actually kind of badass. Me and Garth would die for each other and have tried on several occasions to do just that. I love you Garth my beloved and I'm so sorry I never talk about considering we are iconic besties 😭
They have an extremely close relationship with Gabriel that crosses some very strange lines, but ya'll already knew that one.
10. how do the other characters feel about your self insert and f/o’s relationship?
I answered this already but I'll do it again with some different characters and the Winchesters as the f/o's!
John Winchester is a little weirded out by his sons' new friend, especially when he sees how close they are. And especially when he realizes that their new best buddy has nothing but contempt for him.
A lot of characters find the relationship between us three to be really odd, especially when I'm introduced as their sibling--I look nothing like them and don't share their last name. But most don't have the courage to question it. Anyone who does is usually just stared down until they change the subject.
11. what kind of outfit(s) does your self insert wear?
Literally just my fashion sense. So lots of black and neutral colors when they're on the job, but plenty of dad-core button downs in dumb patterns and thrifted tees. Long coats and western-movie-bad-guy dusters in the winter. Dark jeans and combat boots or old sneakers. Pretty much anything they can pick up at a thrift store--think "80's dad meets lesbian cowboy". And almost always their trademark black cowboy hat with a flat Gambler brim.
15. how does your self insert play a role in the plot of the story? do they help directly defeat the villain, support the heroes, etc.?
Answered this one too but hell, I'll do it again.
I'm a main character just as much as Sam and Dean because of fucking course I am, deal with it. I help to balance out their weirdly toxic and codependent relationship, give them someone else to focus on besides each other. I temper Dean's aggression and bolster Sam, and offer a perspective on hunting and the supernatural that makes for some really interesting discussions and plot lines.
What I'm saying is that I'm the long-lost answer to so many of that show's most basic problems and you can deal with it, ya dig
