i have an extremely specific career wish which is just to specifically lobby for rewriting/rebooting/bringing back old shows/movies etc that didn't quite reach their full potential or just deserve a reboot with current resources

My all time favorite (non ship) trope is estranged sisters reconnecting and trying to repair (to varying levels of success) their relationship

my favorite genre of dw story is one off character becomes a companions girlfriend for said story & then is never mentioned again. tbh it's incredibly important

As far as horror goes, I'm a fervent supporter of the "small, isolated community trying to live normally while being held hostage by monsters" trope. Not besieged by monsters, as in "these things have us surrounded", but kept under duress/coercion, as in "they hold so much power that they don't need to surround us to keep us trapped". Extra points if there are rules/rituals for safety that become completely normalized and just a part of the daily routine.

I love it when comics folks have obscure characters they like and/or created that they just shoehorn in to every book they work on like hell yeah you funky little comics creator you obviously care about these blorbos now I’m gonna care about them too
