summary: after a couple of collab videos, you and colby are shipped together more often than usual. however, this time, you think you're ready to take that next step in your relationship.

you and colby had been friends and collaborators for a long time. you and him were both youtube creators, and had been in each other's videos many times.

as he'd taken some time away from his personal channel to focus on his duo channel with long time partner, sam golbach, it was more often that he appeared in a video on your channel than you did on his.

today was a film day for you, and he'd shown up to your apartment to film a mukbang with you. this was your favorite type of video to film with each other, as there were no heavy pressures to put on an act. it was something where the two of you could be yourselves, two friends hanging out.

you made your way through the video, enjoying your meal, talking and answering questions. it was the first time in a while that you and colby had seen each other and had a lot of catching up to do, which made for wonderful conversation.

"thank you for dinner." colby said as he plopped back down on the couch after taking the trash out.

"of course. thanks for coming over and filming with me." you said, and he nodded. he hung out for a little while before he had to get back home.

once your upload day came around, everyone was excited to see your video. you'd hinted at colby's appearance, and sent everyone into a tizzy.

"finally! my favorite duo has reunited!"

"my babies! my favorite besties!"

"i missed these two together so much i needed this collab"

many other tweets flooded your timeline of fans being excited to see your video. you loved that everyone was as excited as you were to post it.

after it was up for a while, you scrolled through twitter and liked and replied to a few tweets of screenshots and clips of funny moments from your video.

a few tweets you came across were screenshots of you and colby smiling and laughing together, saying how cute you were with each other. 

these types of tweets were pretty common, especially more after you and colby were seen with each other. you didn't mind seeing things like this, because you knew the reality of your relationship, and you only ever saw positive things in response.

after a couple more videos though, you noticed that the shipping tweets began to increase. more and more people were posting you together, and agreeing on the fact that you and colby would make a cute couple.

you and colby had an intense connection, one that was stronger than either of you had with any of your other friends. there was a palpable tension between you every time you were together.  and you and he both knew that if you really wanted to, you would. you'd spoken about these feelings you shared only once, after sharing a drunk kiss, but you knew you would both be into it if either of you acted on them.

seeing all these tweets only made your feelings for him stronger. you liked him a lot, and you flirted with each other constantly. but you didn't know how he was feeling now. you just hoped these messages weren’t scaring him away.

a few days passed since you uploaded, and you were at home watching a movie. the end credits were just rolling when you heard a knock on your front door. when you answered it, you found a disheveled colby who looked like he'd been lost in thought for the few minutes he stood waiting for you to answer.

"hey, are you okay?" you asked as he walked into your living room.

"i need to talk to you." he said softly, hands in his pockets  he looked at you with a softness in his eyes. the same look he had after the kiss you shared.

"okay. let's talk." you said, walking over to your couch. he sat next to you, twiddling his thumbs as he gathered his thoughts. 

"i know you've seen twitter over these past couple of days." he looked up at you, and you nodded. 

"colby, you know these types of tweets are expected. especially with us. they always happen when we're seen together." you said.

"i do know. but this time it felt like there was a ~lot~ more. but i got me thinking," he paused and took a deep breath, "and i assume you must have been thinking the same, considering you liked a bunch of them." 

"oh, so you've been stalking my twitter now?" you teased, but he just shook his head and laughed.

"anyway, they've got me thinking. what if you and i took this to the next step. i feel like that you and i have always been on the same page about our relationship, and i think we could possibly consider being a real couple."

"i've been thinking about that a lot recently too. more over the past couple of days than anything. but i do agree. i’ve had feelings for you for a long time, and i feel better knowing that you feel the same."

“okay then. since we’re in agreement,” he trailed off as he moved closer to you. you fell into his arms as he held you tight, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

as you kissed him, you could tell that the feeling of his lips on yours was quickly going to become a favorite feeling of yours. you could already tell that it was something you wouldn’t be able to live without.

as if he was reading your mind, colby quickly deepened the kiss, his arms tightening around you waist to pull you closer into his chest. 

pulling away only to catch your breath, you locked eyes with each other. lust heavy in your eyes as well as colby’s.

you spent the rest of the night with each other, connecting more intimately than ever. if the events of the night were any indication as to how your relationship was going to turn out, you didn’t want anything to change.

What did vaush do this time?

Oh, boy. Okay, so this the timeline of events as far I could gather: 1. Vaush made a tweet in which he said that Joane Karen could have stayed quiet and she would have been revered for years to come. That is true. Then he added "women should apoligize and stay quiet more challenge." If that were all nobody would have cared that much. 2. Joanne Karen, making honor of her second name, screenshot his tweet though, doing the usual "see, see?? this is what pro-trans activists are all like! They all just hate women! And I am the most suffered victim of all! Woa is me!" bullshit everytime she gets a papercut. 3. The whole online left was then divided on people who said Vaush did nothing wrong and people who, very correctly, pointed out that weaponizing misogyny against a very powerful TERF is only going to hurt trans people and especially trans women on the long run, directly feeding into the victim narratives that they use to explain why trans woman can't use the bathroom. 4. Enters Kat Blaque and Contrapoints, both trans women. Contrapoints didn't liked the joke and I think that was literally all she did? I think some patreon post too but I didn't saw much of that so meh. Kat Blaque took another screenshot of the original tweet of Vaush, censored his identity and asked other trans women if they agree with people using misogyny against transphobes. 5. Vaush, in a incredible display of manchild behaviour that I frankly didn't expect from him, decides to then DM Kat and "debate" with her about how he was actually right and she is wrong, using a weird ass hypothetical about a black rapper using misogyny on his lyrics and then being criticizing by Shapiro? Kat answered essentially "no, I wouldn't defend misogyny from him but also it's not the same? you are not a trans person on this situation" and Vaush kept ignoring that to keep demanding a yes or not answer. When she keeps saying that she didn't care about his content that much in the first place and just wanted to have a conversation with other trans women, Vaush insists that he is better to advocate for the trans community than she is, that he is "concerned" for Kat and other dismissive misogynistic bullshit that I am honestly amazed that she could tolerate as well as she did. 6. After this conversation, Vaush did what I think was a 7 hour stream about the whole issue and somewhere on it he talked about how Kat "yell at white men but in private fetishize them" and how obssesed she was with him. 7. Following this, Kat released sexting messages (no pics, though) that she and Vaush exchanged years ago where Vaush approached her first. Somewhere she tweets again that she will settle for white dick sometimes but find it overall "underwhelming." 8. Because of this, a fucking legion of people are now calling what Kat did the same as sexual assault/abuse/rvenge porn and how Vaush, again, "might" have done something wrong, "maybe", but really it was Kat and Contra the true villains for not agreeing with Vaush because, what, do you want to defend a terf??? 9. For the record, Kat admits and recognizes that she shouldn't have said that or released those messages. I agree that she shouldn't have said that either. Does anyone of the Vaush defenders cares? No. The worst I have seen people say about Vaush comments on Kat fetishizing white men is that they were "spicy" and nothing else. Vaush now uses a old tweet where Kat was admitidly awful to a trans suicidal kid as for reason as to why she isn't good for the trans community, unlike him, the cis guy, which is fucking priceless coming from the guy who is constantly clipped out of context and has every awful accusation flown his way. Kat apoligized for that old tweet, again admits it was an awful mistake on her part, but Vaush doesn't care because she didn't played his debate game. So now people keep making videos about how Vaush did nothing wrong, Kat is a monster, Contra is a hypocrite and I just want to scream.

There's something really strange about how certain parts of the RWBY react so negatively to criticism of the show. There is a complete denial of the criticism, especially if its in good faith, for reasons only tangentially related to the critique. For example, the Youtuber hbomberguy made a really good faith critique of RWBY and I saw fans utterly dismissing it because he says he was a life long fan of Monty's work and they found screenshots from 2008 where he said he didn't like Monty. Yeah, outside of that primary point — that disliking an author/the author's work more generally doesn't automatically invalidate critique; there might be bias at play, yes, but it's not a foregone conclusion — there are a lot of complications there. One that I've actually been thinking about lately is this idea that opinions are not allowed to change over the course of our relationship with a text. There's this assumption that if you said you didn't like Monty in 2008 (whatever "didn't like Monty" even means in that instance — the person? The authorial persona? His company? Some works? All his works?) then you'd better either dislike his work the exact same amount now, or love it without question. No developing new or complicated opinions across twelve-odd years allowed. Which becomes the core of the, "Why are you watching if you hate it?" question that is constantly leveled at those who post critique. "Hate it" is an incredibly narrow approach to not at all easy to define feelings about a show and "hate" means something very different for every fan. For many, the knee-jerk response is simply, "I don't hate it. If I truly hated it I wouldn't still be watching." It's ouroboros eating its own tail: if you hate RWBY you shouldn't watch RWBY, but we watch it, so we must not hate it. Now what? The conversation often stalls when someone refuses to acknowledge that there's more to interacting with a text than the two neat boxes "I love it completely" and "I hate it completely."

But I'm getting off base here. The point is that changing opinions crops up a lot when discussing the critical side of the fandom, with some assuming that if you're critical now then you've always been critical and you're nothing but critical. The idea that you once loved RWBY and are now negotiating a different kind of interest in it, or that you're frustrated by the show while also enjoying other aspects is, it seems, not on the table. It's presented as that either/or situation: you like it, or you don't, and if you've got any gripes with the story, the author(s), or the company at any point... then you're in the "don't" category.

But beyond all that, I also mean that opinions aren't allowed to change in the sense of fans not acknowledging that online spaces are a kind of Wild West where opinions as a whole are incredibly malleable. To use myself as an example, I've posted A LOT of stuff about RWBY. That means I've said a lot of stuff and given how humans work... a lot of that stuff contradicts! Sometimes it's for easily explainable reasons — I got a new piece of information and changed my tune accordingly, a new Volume warmed me to a character or topic that I wasn't previously interested in, etc. — but other times it's just... a mess. Because our relationships with texts can be a mess. I've got posts where I'm criticizing Sun when talking about RWBY. I've got posts where I'm defending Sun when talking about Before the Dawn. I've got posts where I'm 100% backing Ozpin's choices. I've got posts where I acknowledge he really fucked up. I've got posts where I gush about how much I love Ruby's optimistic outlook. I've got posts where I express how much I can't stand her naive outlook. This stuff isn't static and it's certainly not neat and tidy. Not only do our opinions about texts and their creators often change over time, they don't always change across a set number of years for easy consumption by an outside observer. Sometimes your opinion changes daily. Hourly. Sometimes that occurs through conversations followers never see, posts that are later deleted, nothing but your own thoughts because we're not posting every hour of every day. And then you're back saying Thing #1 again because it's all just messy, repetitive conversation expressed via quickly written tweets and the like as an informal hobby. No one is double-checking our work here, demanding to know if we really, truly back what we're saying 100% because someone might one day drag it back out into the light and try to hold you accountable for it. Presenting any one, quickly expressed opinion from over a decade ago as some sort of 'gotcha' is in far more bad faith, imo, than the critique that's getting dismissed.

All of which is, of course, far from just a RWBY issue. We see this kind of behavior everywhere online, where past opinions, mistakes, or just casual responses are dredged up with the intention of erasing any and all present credibility. Pay no attention to what the person is saying now, instead form your opinion of them solely by what they said years ago, with no possible wiggle room allowed. Fans dismissing RWBY critique? That's fine. No one needs to engage with criticism of a favorite show — if anything, I highly encourage those who dislike critique to steer clear of it — so as frustrating as it can be on our end, it's the cleaner side of a very ugly coin. If the worst our community ever did was go, "Your critique is invalid because you said once in 2008 that you don't like Monty's stuff" and left it at that... said community would be a far kinder, gentler, safer place. As it stands, that urge to go digging for a 'gotcha' post generally leads to full-blown harassment (which, frankly, I'm sure hbomberguy got anyway). It is weird that fans are so eager to use an old screenshot to "disprove" a two and a half hour video... I just wish that's as far as that kind of behavior ever went.

Hello, everyone, I’d like to share somethings that have urked me and outright surprise me when getting deeper and deeper into this whole shebang cause honestly, this is too much to NOT notice. If you're wondering what I am talking about I am referring to all the stuff I found out about Viv and the fact that she never truly seemed sorry for what she's done to said people based on what I have found out and what she's said in recent years.

Now you all may say "G, she said she's sorry and that's that. Don't bring up things that happened years ago or have been resolved." and look, man, I'd leave it alone if it was CLEAR that she was truly a person of her word, wasn't a hypocrite, and didn't cause 3 people to be suicidal and cause/know of witchhunts that she KNOWS happened and/or wanted to happen. You guys can like her all you want and defend her, but be sure they are good defenses, understand WHERE I am coming from, and be mindful of what I am saying. Don't just ignore everything she did just cause you THINK she's super nice or because she's your idol.

I will also emphasize that I wish for NO ONE to send any unnecessary hate or anything of the like to Viv. You don't stoop to someone else's level just cause they did some bad crap. I just wanted to say any of this, loud and clear, cause its straight facts that shouldn't be buried just cause she wants to hold onto her image the best she can. That isn't at all fair to those victims who have been wronged and had their names tainted over her destructive and mean-spirited hypocritical behavior. AGAIN DO NOT ATTACK VIV AND DON'T THINK ME CALLING HER OUT IS A REASON TO HATE HER. We can be better than her in terms of handling things. Do not also think me calling her out shouldn't have been done JUST CAUSE you don't wanna hear it or not. If you don't wanna see it, you don't have to read it.

First I have to start off relaying to you guys what Starvader had stated at the beginning of the document so you'll get a jist of why she even spoke up in the first place.

If you like their work there is nothing wrong with that but I will refuse to silence myself any longer due to how much this rarely leaves my mind and tends to come up. This has been a situation swept under the rug and most would probably state ‘ well why are you bringing all this up now it was so and so years ago you guys squashed this etc etc “ that being the case, sorry doesn’t fix emotional trauma that comes up frequently during depressive episodes and comments do tend to stick to people in a certain way. Apology or not, words have a heavy weight to them."

I put this here even though I will be putting a link to her doc because people will most likely not read or press the link and just act as if Starvader wanted blood. No, she stated her mind and was clear when saying she wanted no harm done to Viv.

In this link It tells anyone who comes across it what she and some others mentioned here had to go through when being compared by Viv, wanting to do what's right and still being "called out" and bullied while getting hate sent to them, and having been told how her dreams would never ever be achieved and that she should practically give up, how she put friends against one another, etc. It showcases screenshots of these examples. 

It all began with the accusation of art theft. The very thing she played the victim in with someone else. I'm sure some of you old-time fans of Viv know who this person was and are aware of the beef they had with one another. After reading Starvader's Doc, I want you to look at the post Vivziepop made to defame someone known as

Notice in this post that the very things she did to Starvader she said DollCreep did to her and how she tries and paint DollCreep as this SEVERELY abusive person. Hell even in Starvader's document you'll see that DollCreep told SV that he talked with Viv about the whole thing regarding SV and Viv and she apparently listened at the time. Not to mention that the screenshots Viv put in that post were either take(very possibly) taken out of context or not even bad to begin with (though his reply about the face thing was odd and shouldn't have been addressed b but due to circumstances, I think that's why he was so cautious). I don't know DC like that, but this kinda makes me feel as though he wasn't a bad person Viv makes him out to be and more her trying to destroy his image ENTIRELY for her benefit, cause till this very day she still calls him an abuser and someone she doesn't want to meet again. 

if you continue on into the post she made, you'll see that she has made characters, EERILY SIMILAR to DC's, some WAY MORE than others. SV was willing to change some of the designs and even wanted to stop, Viv, however, seemed to take great offense over such an accusation and took to social media to make her frustrations known. SV kept this hidden from 2013 to 2018.

Oh btw, if you read the doc you'll see that SV wanted to commit suicide. DC actually attempted it. The cyberbullying ran that deep and it ANGERS me.

What sort of logic is that? That’s GREATLY immature and unnecessary, especially for someone her age (She’s 27 or 28 guys while the victim was 15, come on man!)

I could send you all the screenshots of her tweets but that should be another post on its own cause THERE IS A LOT. Like her Cancel Culture tweet, that tweet where she said, and I quote, “The hypocrisy is strong” back in 2014, November 29th. That time she had a thread of tweets saying, and I quote “never let someone dictate your value as an artist! Never seek the approval of someone else and conform to what they say you should do!” Despite doing this to StarVader.

If you guys want screenshots I can either personally DM or make a post showing her hypocrisy. Cause honestly this is rather, dare I say it, TOXIC. She’s manipulated people and has used them when they don’t abide by her rules or make a mistake that could have been resolved privately, she attacks and it’s saddening. Now look, if you like Viv’s content, that’s your choice. I for one very much do like some fan content that i’ve stumbled onto and find some very creative and my cup of tea and while I’m not a huge fan of HH I still very much find the premise very creative. What I do if a creator of something is majorly sketch or strange I simply seperateb the content from the creator. I simply wanted to point out things many peeps don’t know about and any person who is a fan of Viv, I hope you’d at least understand WHY I am at all saying anything I am saying. I want there to be justice but I want things to be fair. I don’t want Viv to get hurt, but I want her to actually learn from her mistakes. I am not here to discourage you from anything, it’s your choice if you choose to stay and I will not judge you for it. I am a girl who SIMPLY wants people to be more aware of who exactly Vivienne Medrano is. She’s mistreated both fans of HH and ZP and it boggles me.

Summary: Due to nationals, you have to catch up on school work and homework, along with upcoming tests. As you feel time running short to do everything at once, you manage to organize your priorities. However, that lack of time compromises the weekend you’d been looking forward for so long. Toru’s and yours third anniversary. As much as you try to make time for your boyfriend, he begins to feel insecure and you rely on one of your best friends: Wakatoshi.

There was a voice at the back of your head telling you maybe you should tell Toru about staying on friday at school. Since your anniversary plans made up the entire weelend, you were supposedly to be arriving home around 7pm on Friday and starting from then, celebratong three long years of Oikawa and ypu dating.

And you knew that he'd probably get mad for the sudden change of plans, specially since he every now and then let passive aggresive comments slip his lips about how you spent too much time in school.

However, being drowned in homework made you think its be easier to text him tomorrow morning. Yeah...I should text him tomorrow morning...you told youself, ignorant that you'd forget to do so.

As he scrolled through his phone, waiting for Iwa kun outside the restrooms, he saw a reply from you on a twitter thread and proceeded to read the entire tweet thread.

He raised an eyebrow, incredulous at first. Yes, most of your tweets consisted on you complaining about Shiratorizawa leaving too much homework and projects, so, it wasn't news to him. At the same time, he felt anxious.

It was known that you were a big nerd who took her studying berys eriously. He felt nervous that maybe, you'd forgotten about your plans with him.

That's impossible...he told himself.

As Iwa left the restroom, he greeted his friend as Toru was busy typing.

"Ready?" Iwa asked his friend.

"Almost, I'm m texting [Name]"

"Wow, not even because you're seeing her tomorrow" Iwa chuckled sarcastically as Toru looked up from his phone woth an unamused face.

"Shut up, it's called love" Toru said with a smug smile as his friend rolled his eyes at him.

At that moment, you were in a coffee place a few blocks away from school, studying, as you usually did in that same place. This partocular coffee place constabtly had Shiratorizawa students either doing homework and studying.

Today was no exception as most people there qere students, from ypur same year, stressing over the same tests. Semi and you were in charge of teaching Ushijima and Nanami. Tendo on the other hand, he simply was there hanging out, as he had this aort of gift that allowed him to get good grades by barely paying any attention in class, he didn't need any help, he simply was there spending time with his friends.

As Semi and you were the ones keeping order in the table, you failed at ignnoring your phone when you saw a text from your boyfriend.
