Evan Buckley being bisexual is so much more to me than a step closer to Buddie and here's why.

Evan Buckley being bisexual is the representation we are so lacking in today's media, of a man, in his 30's, who has been marked as a "ladies man" since day one, finally able to be authentic and true to himself as he learns and grows through this journey.

The reason this is personal to me is as follows.

I have always been into men. To the extent that I never really had to come out as gay as it was just... known, ya know? The grass is green, the sky is blue, James likes dick. I am gay. BUT. In the last 2-3 months, I've been having feelings that maybe I might not be? For years I've only been interested in men. I am married to a man!!

But then, a singular woman came along, was extremely hot, and fuck, my entire identity of being gay and solely into men was spun around and fucked bodily against a wall. And it was scary. It still is! This is the first time I've like, openly acknowledged that yeah, I think I'm bisexual, without feeling like I'm going to panic or freak out, or feel like I have to deny it.

And then, imagine going through all this, questioning your identity, suddenly seeing women (plural, this has been lifechanging) in this new light, as not only people I desperately want to be friends with and work alongside, but also maybe have sex with? Whilst still being married TO A MAN!!! And now, sitting there minding my own business, watching my happy little wee woo show, and Evan fucking Buckley, the man who I relate to most, kisses another man and realises that fuck, he might be bisexual too?? To see my own experiences reflected on TV at the same time as I'm experiencing them??

I genuinely wept.

Because now, Buck and I get to explore our bisexuality at the same time. And I feel a little more confident to do so, because seeing this on TV is like the breath of validation that I needed. It's okay to come into your own later in life (I say at 23 but still), it's okay to not have everything sorted in your teens, and it's okay to just be yourself.

Because that is what Buck is doing, and I'm going to do it too. Thank you, to ABC, Oliver Stark, and Evan Buckley for giving us - giving me the representation and the validation that is needed.

Do you know what I think Buck was attracted to? Well, Tommy flew a helicopter into a hurricane, did fake mouth static to the fire chief and all of this to help others and Buck save people they all care about. That alone made him immediately think this guy is cool and then I imagine Buck back at the loft. He is fretting over whether or not to call Tommy and book that tour. Little does he know Eddie has already been in communication and they're making plans as he gets more nervous about making that call. Why am I so nervous? I'm just booking a tour of the work place. It's not to see him again, right? Buck is sincerely confused as he dials the number.

Was Buck nervous the whole drive? Yes. He couldn't really figure out why. There was this feeling. This good feeling, and he does quietly admit to himself that this is about seeing Tommy again. Did Buck know that he'd end up asking Tommy for a beer? NO, he didn't think that far. He didn't think further than, "this guy is cool" and I appreciate what he did for the me and the 118 family. Basically, yeah he was former 118 but I'm going to adopt him into MY 118, thinks Buck.

Little did he know that meeting Tommy would allow him to say, "I'm free" and that he might have one hell of a hot PILOT boyfriend.

If y’all are mad some of us Buddies calling us traitors because we like Buck with Tommy for the time being, are appreciative of the storyline, are letting Buck discover himself, etc.

I got some news for you. Buck is BIsexual not EDDIEsexual

There was an entire episode where the universe was screaming at Buck to NOT go through with being a sperm donor, the clinic kept having insane problems and needed to reschedule him, and then his reliable jeep stops running all of a sudden, like the universe couldn’t have been louder, but Buck doesn’t listen, so then he gets STRUCK BY LIGHTNING (which for all we know could have made complications for ever biologically fathering another child) and in his coma dream he questions when he’s told he has ‘kids’ when they’re really his students and then in the background, hardly noticeable, there are pregnant women looming in his subconscious, and at the end of his dream his child, the only child from reality, the only child he loves as his own, Christopher, shows up for a split second. He survives actual death only to start dating someone with a death fetish, who built a career/life/fixation around death, who has judgments about him helping create the life of the baby that he then permanently cleans his hands of, because he only helped make that child as a present for a friend, and then decides yet again, to get a couch with a woman he JUST MET, to replace the couch that another woman (his mother) bought him, to replace that couch that another woman (Taylor) brought to him, to replace the couch that another woman (Aly) picked out with him (when SHE picked out his apartment). Buck has literally never thought for one second his entire life about what he wants and what’s best for him, he just distracts himself from the bad stuff that happens, by letting random women make decisions for him. He has no boundaries. No concept of his own feelings and wants and needs. He will just let any woman do whatever she wants and never think about the consequences until after the stuff has already happened. The only time his entire life that HE picked someone else; was Eddie.

Eddie was too collected and standoffish at the beginning, he didn’t chose Buck. Buck chose Eddie. Buck wanted Eddie. The universe screamed it loud enough. Many, many times. Buck just refuses to listen.

what a wonderful morning the sun is shining, birds are chirping, Evan Buckley is Bisexual!!!

Curious if Tommy is just a plot device to set up Buddie or if they are heading into a relationship. What are the odds? Buck doesn't seem to be so sure about it. Is Tommy the one he wants? Or does he have ulterior motives? Glad Tim spun it that way eventually. Only waiting how far he is taking it.

That line means two things: Tommy assumed Buck was wanting Eddie’s attention and maybe more than a friend too or Tommy was pleasantly surprised that through all of this “bad blood” Buck admits he wanted Tommy’s attention.

However, we all most likely agree that it’s not the case at all. Here we have Tommy who is confident in himself it seems and of course, if this freakin amazingly handsome, hot guy says I wanted your attention why not just kiss him? Why not go for it and be like oh so that’s okay? You wanted this, that’s the attention you want??

Truthfully, after all was said and done with Buck’s posturing and somewhat flirting of course Tommy would go head first into that signal. Now, I also think Buck had no clue what he was doing. No clue that oh shit, I was wanting romantic attention from a man. Not until he was kissed.

By the way, it is so surreal to type the words “Buck kissed a man” and it not be a line from fan fiction. Anyway, that line just gets me because I think of it as Tommy knowing all too well this won’t go anywhere with Buck but he’s having fun and maybe being a supportive person for Buck, but also it’s mixed with well, damn why didn’t you just kiss me to get my attention, you fool?

If Buck had truly known what was going on inside his head and how exactly this jealousy was manifesting he might’ve been the one to initiate a kiss, but then again probably not, he needed the jump start to understand what kind of attention he wanted and it wasn’t just another male friend per se, it was something else, something romantic towards a man and guess what?

He’s free.

Ok but you can bet there's gonna be a moment way later where they're potentially a couple and Tommy is like "honestly thought you were in love w Eddie so I was surprised you liked me" and buck is like. Oh No, pt.2

Everyone grows still around them, and Buck freezes, staring at Tommy wide eyed. There’s a sound of someone fumbling something heavy to the side where Buck knows Eddie is restocking the gear. There’s no point in fighting it anymore, and Tommy’s too worried to realize what he said. Buck also just wants to be held, and he doesn’t even care about coming out anymore. His throat hurts. He wants his boyfriend to kiss it better. He swallows and immediately winces, his hands dropping.
