im deranged.... i love harmony's freak out after getting fired, her little 'huh' when the doorbell rings, how she actually answers the door while unhinged and her face is covered in tears, "then i could leave if i feel uncomfortable or afraid!" and then her leakies comment at the party trying to seem ""normal"" ....... i know they're trying to make her seem unstable but shes so cute to me like???
I was watching season 3 episode 2. And an interesting detail is that when Sonic went to save a falling citizen, Nine initially looked scared and concerned for their safety when it was revealed that they were in danger. However Nine’s fear is then replaced with anger and it’s then shown Sonic saved them.
It’s really interesting seeing Nine’s descent into his insanity. At the beginning, His villainy is SOLELY towards Sonic but as more time passes, he becomes crazier.
YEA!!! But like, his thing is that he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He never did, just defend himself against those that try to hurt him first.
He went after Sonic so incessantly because he needed his energy to stabilize the Grim (and also because he was angry at him) and have his own little paradise where he would be left alone
Buuut then he began getting just a bit silly with power and the fact Sonic seemingly only kept pulling his leg and backstab and trick and betray him over and over again that he lost his own plot
All he needed was for Sonic to understand and genuinely get what he had in mind and bring him back to earth and he went all mournful sad little wide eyed wet cat
LOOK AT THIS LITTLE GUY AND TELL ME HE WOULD EVER GENUINELY HURT ANYONE ON PURPOSE AND NOT REGRET IT FIVE MINUTES LATEr
GOING ABSOLUTELY REGUAL NORMAL PERSON MODE WHEN THINKING ABOUT THE COMPLEXITIES OF THIS FUCKER JUST THE MOST CASSUAL
it's the scene with stede when they're finally on the revenge that does it for me. it's when he tries to shift the blame for what he did onto stede "you and me did this to him" because he can't accept that he did it, not stede, and he needs stede to absolve him (which he won't, not in a million years. it'd be antithetical to stede's nature to do that.) it's the contrast between "you know me better than anyone has ever known me, and I daresay the same is true for me about you", an assumption that has had the most fucked up consequences we've seen on this show so far, and stede's calm and assured "he was going to watch the world burn or die trying (and I love him and I don't care and I just want him to be fine)". it's the echo between "I'm here. I'm here. you're safe" and "I should've let the English kill you. This, whatever you've become, is a fate worse than death"
it's the way the show set up izzy and stede and their relationships with ed as narrative foils from the beginning and then said "watch what happens when each of them leads the dance." and then fed us a banquet
“By the time your work is done, I’ll be completely blind.” Day
Last Twilight, episode 8
(Day’s mom is by no means a bad mom, but she is currently failing to navigate the situation - it seems she is oscillating between an overprotective mom while still trying to maintain her high flying career as a successful businesswoman/chef without realising how much Day has changed and slowly gaining back his independence, and Day is done - done being the one accepting and compromising, remember his wistful sigh when his mom celebrated his bday 2 days earlier cause she had an important work meeting?)
(Also interesting to note Night being the silent watcher realises the changes his younger brother is going through…and I just really, really want Night and Day to make up already 😩😩😩, cause Night’s tortured sad looks are giving me feels….)
