to me the whole point of f1, and why i got into it, is that the cars are these meticulously engineered machines that - under the right circumstances - are fucking magical to watch. like for example, a wide angle shot of a car absolutely glued to the ground while going through a sleek S chicane?? 😮‍💨🤤

street tracks are just bumpy, with awkward super slow 90-degree corners, vision is obscured too, and it’s such a waste imo to have these incredible cars race in spaces where they don’t reach their full potential.

#the character and history of real race tracks create such a special atmosphere too!!#i want elevation changes and huge grand stands #i want to see more of the track and the cars than whatever view we can have between city buildings #i don’t want drivers tiptoeing around apartment blocks and wine bars like wtf are we doinggggggg #f1

#dogblr #rory borealis #ive been doing a lot more scent work in the fields #hiding frozen birds in big areas and then having her find them #this was the biggest area yet #my usual field is about 2 acres #i throw my birds wherever (so she cant track my scent and i dont really know where they are to help her subconsciously)#and this time i used a river valley which was about 14 acres #and threw my birds wherever #some additional challenges included cattails elevation changes and weird wind patterns #it was so cool to watch #honestly there isnt much i love more than watching her in the field #she is so responsive and so in tune with her environment #i see why people get hooked

So as an experiment I listened to 4+ hours of Nickelback recently and I have some interesting Observations:

Their best music is usually either from the 90's when they were a grunge band or very recent

50% of their 2000's music is generic rock that was dated at the time it came out and the other 50% is embarrassingly earnest country

Like I'd be willing to bet that some of their bad reputation came in part from how??? genuine????? their country stuff was?????? And people are allergic to emotion??????

I hate Far Away though. I can't stand it. sounds like a song straight out of a cousin wedding

UNRELATED BUT the rock lyrics are like wow there's a woman. and she's so bad. she's so baddy bad

Also there's a sea shanty version of one of their songs linked to their Spotify and if you listen to 3 hours of Nickelback in a row it is like a breath of fresh air

#admittedly I've added like four songs to my liked playlist #but most of them are from 2017 or newer #I think recently they've had a better grasp of their image #and so they're making stuff that is both elevated from what it used to be but also still sounds like them #anyway this is my two cents if you want to know what it's like to listen to 4+ hours of Nickelback akjfhlskjfh #tracking tag #rambling #music

My endocrinologist seemed to be a mostly serious person, but I like to think me referring to my lil pcos beard as a “freebie” while we talked about putting me on T startled a laugh out of her

#i’m sure she sees a lot of people all day who are very upset about having a pcos beard #was not aware that it was pcos (suspected but never bothered to confirm cause i was happy to have elevated T levels)#apparently having an iud and going on T means that the suspected-pcos will be well managed so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#we’re waiting on insurance to approve my prescription and then i’ll start T!!#she said it would probably be a week or two?#i’m excited and worried but mostly just super fuckin jazzed #i’m gonna be one of those people who record their voice every month or so to track changes #sepulchritudinous #testosterone #idk if i have tags for this yet #transition

thinking about that candid camera where they set up a fake elevator that went sideways. People would get out and find themselves on the same floor, just a bit to the left.

to mess with the victims even more they've have actors get on the elevator then exit via a secret door so the elevator would be empty on return and make the victims think somehow it was working for everyone except them
