I just went onto Twitter to snoop around a bit and gosh, got I reminded why I Do Not Go There normally.
The amount of hate against the drivers, especially George is just- I don't have words. 'Oh, he's an asshole, he's such a cunt, so arrogant-'
Yeah, and? They're all self-righteous assholes. You do not get far in competitive sports if you let people walk over you and have no trust in your capabilities, especially not if you're driving a death machine at 300 kph through slopes and tight corners.
You don't stand up for yourself enough, you're not giving the other drivers or even your own team some attitude, you end up as a doormat. Look at Charles (who's enslaved himself to Ferrari), look at Mick (who is just. too. nice. I mean, he rarely even cusses). Alonso is only still in F1 because he's an absolute bitch, both on and off track. Kimi is one of the biggest assholes I ever had the pleasure of seeing.
Yes, Seb too. Valterri. Pretty sure Zhou as well. Esteban does not let himself be walked over. Alex, who said so himself and is only considered Mr. Nice Guy because nobody actually pays enough attention to Williams.
You don't win if you're always nice. Being on a race track driving is such a high-pressure situation, you don't think 5 minutes about how to voice a thought or how to best express your negative emotions so that nobody feels attacked or hurt. You congratulate yourself on a move because it gives you the confidence you need.
And everyone complaining, just think a minute about how a race would look like if they were all nice to each other. It would be 20 guys driving in a line in a circle.

I would like to contribute my opinion on the lando/trump situation.
Warning, it's long and a bit nuanced (although slightly more a defence than an accusation but still keep an open mind)
And is edited as i find more things to say
First off, Lando is a victim of the formula one machine just like all the drivers. They are the puppets, the clowns, whatever analogy you want. The people behind the teams (team bosses, ceo's, sponsors etc... are what make the machine run, the drivers are just there to drive. He was approached by the ex president of the country he was in, on a high of winning his first race, and shook his hand while a million cameras were pointing in his direction. That can only happen one way: trump being invited by the team (bosses ceo's, whatever). Now, I despise trump and everything he stands for, but if I was in Lando's situation I would have had to do the same thing. (It so happens I was in a similar situation and had to shut my mouth and shake the hand of a politician I didn't like because I could have caused a diplomatic incident and lost my job and cost a lot of money in sponsorships). Also the alleged comments "It was an honour for him to be there/ you have to have respect for him" etc... are probably bullshit, but in the case that they are not and Lando is actually a trump supporter, if you cancel him for it, you would have to cancel half the drivers/team bosses/Ceo's etc in HISTORY.
The founding of formula one (like any institution ever) is by and for White/Rich/Heterosexual/Males. The FIA is corrupt. The teams are corrupt. It's an industry entirely run by money. It's capitalism in a bottle and some of y'all seem to forget that. The fact is the drivers could all be supporters of the right wing parties in their respective countries, would you cancel all of them?
For example, frank williams, the FOUNDER of Williams f1 team was openly a Thatcher supporter. There is a portrait of the bitch in his house (now his daughter's) as seen below, with a picture of.... george russell??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also added a picture of Thatcher with Colin Chapman to emphasize that political figures often get involved in sports, doesn't mean the athletes align with their views. Trump, Reagan, Thatcher, Francisco Franco (a literal dictator).... they've all done it.
But let's have a quick look at Georgie boy then. A rich white man, he was quite friendly with Frank Williams, does that mean he's a tory? No. (Tbh he probably is but is smart enough to not talk about it)
Lewis Hamilton of all people was invited to lunch TWICE with the British Royal family (not to mention the knighthood), does that mean he's a racist cunt with no regard for other human lives? No. So why would he associate himself with them? Because he's smart enough to not alienate half the bloody population!
If these people had integrity and perfect morals, they would not be racing in F1. And for the few that are genuinely good people, they're smart enough to just be a cog in the machine to ensure their paycheck. We saw it with the horner situation, they won't get involved unless they actually support the bad guy. Similar situation to palestine, if they speak out either way, they will alienate countless sponsors and probably loose their seat.
Yes it's shit, yes it should be different, yes it should be inclusive but it's just not. It's veeery slowly changing though.
But back to Lando: now he isn't perfect obviously. (He's a white cis probably het man) He might even be right wing who knows, but I think taking alleged comments like "you have to respect the guy" out of context is dangerous. Objectively, yes there is an infinitesimal bit of respect you have to have for trump (hear me out) he managed to become PRESIDENT OF THE UNTIED STATES by manipulating the masses into thinking he was basically the reincarnation of God. Man is a genius, even though he's a cock. He's also a brilliant example of nepotism, capitalism and all round discrimination that represents the system we all live in. Additionally, florida is a pretty right wing state if i'm not mistaken (gun laws/anti abortion/anti lgbt etc...) and if lando had told trump to fuck off, there might have been riots and i'm only barely joking. Lando is a dick for the comments that were perhaps a bit unnecessary but y'all are seeing them as him endorsing trump lmao. As a (hopefully) future public figure, if the president of my country came to see me in front of a bunch of cameras i would also say it was an honour to meet him. At this level it's self preservation.
I will finish this rant by saying that I hope the world of f1 will change for the better in future years, already the gender diversification is going in the right direction, some programs are in place for kids who come from poorer backgrounds etc... but expecting that change to come from the puppets of capitalism is quite unreasonable. Lewis has set some standards that hopefully more and more drivers can stick to, but in the meantime cancelling a dude for breathing the same air as trump is stupid.
Ps: Y'all don't know the half of the awful private corporations and sponsors of the teams and drivers, so if you can't cope with the occasional dick on your screen, you might want to pick a different hobby. Preferably not involving public figures or PR in any capacity.
Edit 1: I've been seing ppl get mad at lando for saying he's his lucky charm and I think it's perhaps a language comprehension barrier thing. He did not say that. Trump said he was lando's lucky charm, then lando mentionned that trump had said it.
Edit 2: I've seen some clips of Zak Brown where he seems to be really friendly with trump. I wouldn't be surprised if it was his idea to introduce him to lando. CEO's are rarely great people, and although i'm glad he's been such a huge part of Lando's journey and success, i'm not a big fan of his. I just wish it would have been with someone a bit less complacent, like max or lewis, they wouldn't have said that stuff and the interaction would have been quite entertaining I reckon.
Edit 3: great post about the misunderstood comments at the press conference here
Don't hesitate to insult me in my asks, i will be answering them with equal enthusiasm :)

lewis is moaning about the drop in social media engagement due to rb domination 🤓 and calls for fia to interfere with it 🤓 because engagement dropped 👉👈 aw he isnt getting enough attention in f1 socials? give him his likes 🤓 or he will be upset 😔
like what happened to racing old man? dont make me fucking mad. this is what f1 become. a clown show. why a 7 times wdc is complaining about fan engagement. be fucking serious NOW.
he is clutching his last straws to get fia to nerf max since he realized that a dutch kid with energy drink addiction is gonna shit all over his legacy and may even leave the sport with a 8 titles in 2028.
it has been a fun ride with all max fans, or should i say "that guy" fans, watching lewis lose it day by day. what a pathetic ride for the british monarch!

Charles isn't linked to Italian right wing parties. Once a right wing politician claimed him and Ferrari as symbols of true "Italianess" (fascist rethoric) and he started liking tweets left and right about not being and not wanting to be associated with that man and that party.
Also in Monza 2023 when the fascist Italian prime minister was at the gp in the Ferrari box, Charles suddenly disappeared and returned only when she was gone. But when in 2022 the Italian President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella (one of the most important constitutional experts in Italy and the only person with dignity in the Italian positions of power) was in the Ferrari box Charles was there and they talked a lot.
He also used to follow pro-Palestine accounts before the war on October 7th, but Ferrari imposed on him to be neutral about everything. Also the hanging out with Noah Snapps was way before he started acting like a crazy zionist. The fact that these things happened is a shame, but that doesn't make him a zionist.
But Charles doesn't have a liking for right win parties in Italy, this is just not correct.
damn, charles doing something right for once lol (wrt to trying to distance himself from the right wing italian parties and also not sticking around to talk to italy's prime minister). not an attack to you, but i'm having a hard time finding who even said that unless it's like. a deleted tweet, but if someone's got screenshots or a news article about it, i'm all ears
also, lol @ being monegasque and someone trying to claim him as italian. i'm wheezing way too damn hard. monaco watch your back (or should i say harbor?), italy might try to add you to the country
i don't think charles is a zionist or pro-palestinian (i definitely remember him following either eye on palestine or some other related accounts, and then he suddenly unfollowed them), but he hasn't said anything about wanting to distance himself from noah at the very least, so i'll just put the 'silenced by ferrari and fia, his views could go either way'. for me, it's got to be all or nothing, and right now, a white man with a huge following is not passing the litmus test of doing the bare minimum (not be zionist)
what also tickles my brain though is that he has a massive following and a big chunk of the fandom likes charles in some way, so why not use his influence? lewis expressed support for palestine, and should not be the only f1 driver to do so (the al-qubaisi sisters have put in their stories support for palestine). and it's not like charles would be shown the door; the tifosi love him and would probably raze the ferrari factory to the ground if ferrari threw him out for that, and let's pretend that the tifosi don't exist - why would ferrari throw out someone who can challenge for WDC? why would ferrari throw someone who lives and breathes ferrari, who stays with this clown circus of a team despite all the shit he goes through, just to fulfill a childhood dream?
anyways, there's a lot of nuance to be held here that i'm probably not hitting and i should really be going to bed, but thank you very much (genuine) for bringing new info to the table. charles is off the hook for now in my book lol, but he'll just be a driver that's in my 'oh nice. he's there. he scores points when there isn't a mechanical issue'
also we really should not be allowing politicians at f1 races, cota was something lol (in that i yelled at me tv for daring to show me abbott. i did not consent to seeing that on a lovely sunday afternoon). just bring the fia's governing body or some celebrity, the politicians can watch at home like the majority of us.

I just knew he was going to win. I woke up on sunday just knowing. He's got some insane luck. It's like 2021 all over again. Remember how charles would qualify p4 so often that he was being called ch4rles? Out of all those races with Charles running comfortably in p4 (which was a lot of races - truely an underrated season from him) how often did something happen to the top 3 so that he inherits a podium? 0. Meanwhile, every single one of carlos 2021 podiums, something happened to one of the top 3 on the day that he happened to be p4 so that he could end up on the podium. Charles never lucks into that sort of thing, it only happens to carlos. So of course the one race that red bull turns into a clown show, it would be the race carlos was on pole. Not charles, not lewis who also had pole this season. Only carlos would get that luck. He must have some insane deal with the devil.
He's got Charles' luck but reversed.
For really why everything bad happens to my fave, like what have Charles or Lewis done to rack up all the bad stuff these past couple of years, car, strategy, general clownery of the fia (always keeping in mind from where more than half the shit that happens to lewis comes from

High hopes in Monaco after the cancellation of Imola
Heya!
Tumblr media
Well, I was originally planning on writing last week after the announcement of the GP in Imola being cancelled due to the floods going on in the Emilia Romagna region, but between my shitty shifts and exhaustion, I couldn't even think about it.
It was a sad thing, but it was the necessary decision. For once, the FIA was quick to decide what was best and also for once, they made the right choice. Just wish people in the area were all okay...
This weekend I'm watching it all after work, so yeah I'll be late once again. On another note, we started this race weekend with the news of Honda teamming up with Aston Martin starting 2026 and rumors about Yuki being a possibility to join Alonso. That would be funny tbh. Also, Mercedes FINALLY got rid of the "no sidepods" concept on the car. Really hope this levels things, at least a tiny bit (I'm expecting no miracles).
Tumblr media
Anyway, onto the actual purpose of this post, so I'm starting at last.
Press conference - Thursday
First press round and not really anything interesting except for Yuki's take on the floodings in Italy. I'm here just waiting for the second round to start so that I can watch the chaos unfold 🤣
Chaotic Sharl is on and I'm here for it, "Hello, Lewis" sounded like the funniest shit in the world with that laughter of his. Seriously, I can't 😗 I do love those Lewis-Sharl interactions, they're so cute seriously and they'd make an insane duo, lots of fun stuff would be sent our way for sure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Piarles clowning together about the football match a few days ago and how they just clashes into each other despite being in the same team. Really, boys? 🥲
Do people still think, given what we've seen this year so far and also last season, that Ferrari is a good choice for Lewis? I mean, yes Mercedes is not going through their best moments right now, but Ferrari? After so many disasters and making their own driver lose the chances of gaining a championship? I love Ferrari, but come on.
Free Practice 1 - Friday
Finally some movement in the streets of Monte Carlo and I'm actually thinking about all the new rumors that we might get after the race. I've been waiting for this weekend just for this 🤣
I know there have been a few Red Flags today so I'm just here waiting for them. I don't care how boring this track can get, I just love it and nothing's gonna change that. Ever.
Sid the Sloth is crying on the radio. What for? He has a fucking missile despite that much complaining and whining about it.
Not much else going on, pretty calm session for now. Apart from Sargeant having some kind of problem, nothing else to say. And I obviously spoke too soon, since Nico span a little bit too hard and fucked up his rear left tyre, causing a Yellow Flag that turned into a Red Flag. First of the day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sharl probably touched the wall or so, and right afterwards Albon crashed on his side, so the session was Red Flagged permanently now, with 3 minutes to go. Quiet one despite those problems, but not the worst news possible considering.
Free Practice 2 - Friday
SEB IS AT THE PADDOCK, I REPEAT, SEB IS AT THE PADDOCK 🥹 PLEASE SEB, COME BACK TO US, WE NEED YOU 😭
Tumblr media
Besides different drivers trying out setting times and so on, there's been nothing going on. I do love that tunnel, though. That must be scary as fuck, honestly.
Aaaaand Carlos tries to goes as close to the wall as possible but crashes. Fantastic job causing another Red Flag. Quite a few drivers have gone very, very close but have managed to get out unscathed. I guess it's damn luck (on top of skill obviously, they're going over 200kph).
Tumblr media
Commentators are talking about the future 2026 PUs and honestly, if the regulations for that year are as bad as the ones introduced in 2022, this will just get worse by then.
Maybe tomorrow something else will happen, especially during Quali, which I'll obviously watch late.
Free Practice 3 - Saturday
Well, I already know what happened in Quali today, but just gonna watch in order first so that I can finish this one post, I don't want extra tabs open on my browser right now, it's been a tough day at work 🤪
So Estie Bestie stopped in the middle of the tunnel (on the side anyway), but managed to get back to the pit lane, so at least nothing scary going on.
Wasn't Laurent Mekkies supposed to be in Alpha Tauri by now? Or did I miss something? I keep seeing him on the Ferrari pit wall 🤔
Honestly, nothing going on in FP3 so I was just watching memes on IG the whole time. Oh Jesus, and Lewis against the wall all of a sudden?! What the hell. That car being moved by the crane.... Was that really necessary, taking it so high!?
Tumblr media
Red Flagged session so that means I'm gonna go watch Quali finally.
Peace out!

Ok my thing is, if u just ‘penalize the future and not the past’ next time there’s some new regulation, whose to say some other team won’t find some other way to cheat and their reasoning will be ‘well we won’t get punished for it since they’ll only punish the next team who tries the same offense.’
So he’s basically saying it’s ok if you’re the first to do it. That doesn’t prevent teams from trying to actually break the rules. If they know that there’s a chance that if they attempt to break a rule, they might get caught and be disqualified from the championships, then most likely they won’t try cuz they wouldn’t want to risk it.
you're right. plus for some teams, financial penalties don't mean shit. they can easily break other regulations if they know they are easily going to get away with it.
if rbr goes unpunished which it most likely will, it will only make fia clowns look weaker and unserious (than they already appear). this is not even just about giving lewis the title back. fia president wanted to make an example out of lewis regarding implementation of f1 rules remember? now is his chance to do that with rbr

2023 season predictions
with the risk of me being a clown by the end of it, here are my 2023 season predictions. i tried to keep it tame, but I'm also delusional and a tifosi. Tinfoil hat on, rant under the cut, because it got long.
The WDC will be decided between Max, Charles and Merc (if they manage to get a better car this year). Things are uncertain at Ferrari with a new TP and their strategy department, so it will probably be between Max and Merc in the end. I'm saying Merc because George is good (when he doesn't apply what he learned in merc school of shunting people off the race track) so Lewis will probably forget all about "being a better teammate" and use phrases like "idk why George did what he did" when all George did was to win (and outpace/outqualify him). Merc will use team orders to get Lewis that 8th WDC (ngl i want him to get that 8th wdc). George will learn how it is to be a 2nd driver at merc and will commit crimes.
This or Max wins everything again and we're doomed for another RBR supremacy but not fun because it's not Seb. Yes, I'm very biased, what of it?
Max will get engaged. We won't get rid of Kelly Piquet, unfortunately.
There will be team orders at Ferrari. Charles would get more confident. We will get more porn couch videos and sexy ice baths to wash over the fact that their strategy is shit. Their engine will actually be the bomb, but it won't matter because the team does not what it takes to win. Charles will start hinting at future plans that do not involve Ferrari. RIP the little monegasque mouse. He will get a new girlfriend as well. The tifosi will storm Maranello probably.
Lando will get his first win. I hate Mclaren with a burning passion and Lando is an insufferable brat, but even I want to see him win. Oscar and Lando won't like each other.
Fernando will get a podium with the green tractor, will commit many crimes against Lance because no one fucks with Nando, not even the nepo baby.
Things will go well at Alpine in the beginning. They have a good car and manage to be in the points. They even manage a podium or two, and they will remember they hate each other and it will be hell. Can't wait.
Nico H. and K-Mag will murder each other and will not get into the points and it's what Haas deserves. Do it for Mick, boys.
Daniel gets to drive in Las Vegas. Checo will suddenly get sick and Daniel will drive their rocket ship ~(not in LV but sometime during the year) and actually get a win for the first time in forever (if RBR don't use team orders, which they will).
Will Checo be in his villain era? We will find out.
Mick will drive in FPs and he will drive so well and everyone will realise it wasn't him but the car. Fuck Steiner.
No one cares about Sargent.
Alex Albon gets his first win (much deserved - looking at you, Lewis). So does Nyck De Vries.
Nothing to say about Alfa Romeo. They are wholesome wholesome wholesome. Or Valtteri retires.
Everyone will be incredibly tired by the calendar is too packed and they hate it and they want Seb back. FIA will come with more outrageous rules or won't respect them. Pierre gets a warning each race because they hate him.
I will get a ticket to either Monza or Imola.
Last but not least (i did say i live in delulu land) we get Nico Rosberg back in the paddock. We get Nico and Lewis talking We get Nico and Jenson interactions. Seb goes AWOL. Luna will cry herself to sleep.
Tinfoil hat off, imma go touch some grass now.

the fia doesnt need to "solve" it the teams just need to set their cars up differently, they know how to stop the porposing but they dont want to sacrifice speed to do it
Hi anon.
Fia is obligated to solve or at least take the matter into consideration. Lewis back is killing him, Russel elbow looks like shit and Magnussen has spine merve damage apparently. It’s serious.
Of course I know the teams just need to set their cars up and that active suspension would be beneficial for Mercedes in particular. BUT if the teams are not caring the FIA should cause the safety of the grill SHOULD and NEEDS to be a priority not only for the teams but for the FIA too.
Otherwise they are just clowns in suits.
I’m leaving a pic of George’s elbow cause I can and I want to.

2014 didn’t end well and the pulled that same shit knowing the consequences. They really have no respect for drivers safety especially on those conditions then you wanna blame Pierre. How bout next time, let the fucking cars go into the pit first before sending a whole ass tractor out there..
I swear a bunch of idiots make the FIA
