1) CHERRY MAGIC (episode 2) IS SO GOOD, I HAVE TO COVER MY MOUTH AND KEEP MY MEEPS FROM BEING TOO LOUD
2) GOD, TAYNEW! New is SMASHING THIS.
3) The wonderful @so-much-yet-to-learn and I had a discussion a couple months ago about the stylistic and rumored decisions to not have Kurosawa and Adachi (Machida Keita and Akaso Eiji) kiss in the Japanese Cherry Magic adaptation. The rumors (only seen online and not at all confirmed with primary sources) were that Machida's and Adachi's agencies were not supportive of the two having an on-screen smooch. We also considered the public vs. private taboos of public displays of affection in Japanese society and art, which differ from those in other Asian countries (like Thailand).
It's not known if the two actors felt differently about not kissing. At least Machida's agency, Gekidan Exile/Exile Tribe, has provided quite the number of actors in other Japanese BLs who have acted out many more deeds on screen, from Candy Color Paradox to Tokyo in April Is..., and more.
But I think part of the campy gloriousness of the Japanese Cherry Magic adaptation was, in fact, the lack of kissing, and the sensual acting around the indication of that kissing, from Kurosawa's eagerness and his constant struggle to control his emotions, to Adachi's discomfort-to-acceptance-and-happiness journey. There was tremendous communication in their body and verbal language that got them to their happy ending in the series, and to not have the actual kiss was, for me, dramatically satisfying for how that decision was supported through the excellent acting and the painstaking details of the show.
So, for so many of us, as we learned that TayNew would take up this mantle in Thailand last year, we were like -- alright, NOW we are going to get the kisses, right?
And at least for now, we haven't, which makes me wonder a bit. We saw Kurosawa's lips touch Adachi's forehead in Japan,
and Karan's lips were hidden by Achi's fluffy bangs in Thailand.
Does New need some texturizing, or was this on purpose? (I'm CACKLING, poor Tay, look at that hair in his FACE, omg.)
If this was a stylistic nod to Japan? Then... well done, because at least I noticed it, and kinda loved it. We know (WE KNOWWWW, heh heh, thank you, Kiss Me Again and Dark Blue Kiss) what TayNew are capable of, and I just loved this little moment of subtlety here in Cherry Magic, because we don't actually know what we're going to get later this series.
Because I am a fucking simp for all things Cherry Magic, I also noted the slight changes in how Karan approached Achi on the rooftop later that night, as compared to Kurodachi. Honestly, I am SO ENJOYING these different approaches, and only note these simply by way of how I'm loving Machida's acting versus that of Tay.
Kurosawa on the rooftop was a ball of NERVES, man.
Whereas it almost seemed like Tay's Karan was silently joyful, with smiles playing at the edges of his lips, to be so close to Achi and having this conversation about the dinner game.
These are NOT the greatest screenshots, but if I could gif, I would try to capture how the corner's of Tay's mouth in that last screenshot just uplifted slightly. This wasn't a moment of shock and nerves; this was a moment of OMG OMG OMG EEEEEE THIS IS MY TIMEEEEE.
(EDITING TO ADD: I’m such a dunce! I should have known the gif makers were already on this — and the gorgeous deity @liyazaki captured Tay’s mouf perfectly. That giddiness in the last gif!)
And in their acting? I love BOTH APPROACHES so much. Because both approaches are well within the emotional range of the moment that we're experiencing with them.
We're departing from the Japanese dorama next week in content, and I cannot wait to see where we go. GMMTV gave us some holiday gifts in Last Twilight and Cherry Magic airing on Fridays and Saturdays, no?

Winx Musical Casting - The Specialists and Stella Edit
This is a part 2 of this post:

First up, here's a slight edit for the Stella casting. I had Stephanie Styles as Stella. Recently, I had an idea of who would fit better.

This. woman. is. a. POWERHOUSE? Not only does she have AMAZING VOCALS, but shes an amazing actress with spectacular comedic timing and is just an amazing performer. Her credits include Pamela in the Original Broadway Cast of Head Over Heels, and Debra in the Tony Award Winning Musical, Kimberly Akimbo. Pamela already gives Stella energy so I think she would steal the show as our favorite ray of chaotic sunshine.

Sky: James Tolbert
This man is OOZING with charisma. He's mostly known for working with team Starkid as a choreographer for A Very Potter Sequel, Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier, The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, Black Friday, and VHS Christmas Carol Live. His onstage credits include Snigglotts,/Vice President Bob Morris/Xander Lee/Ensemble in Black Friday, Blinky/Snigglotts/Ensemble in Nightmare Time, and The Ghost of Christmas Present in A VHS Christmas Carol Live. I think he could add way more charisma and character to the Wonder bread man that is Prince Sky of Eraklyon.

Brandon: Milo Manheim
Now, I don't know if Milo has done any theatre BUT his credits do have him all the musical theatre skills (singing, dancing, acting, etc). He's mostly known for playing Zed Necrodopolis in the DCOM musical trilogy, Zombies. He also placed 2nd on Dancing With the Stars in 2018. From the videos I've seen of him, he seems to have the right kind of vibes for our favorite himbo squire.

Helia: Dean John-Wilson
His credits include the title role in Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End, Lun Tha in the West End revival of The King and I, and, most recently, L in the English Premiere of Death Note the Musical in London. His voice is amazing and he really gets into his character's heads. The most recent example being L.

Timmy: Matt Doyle
This man has played a vast amount of roles. His credits include Hanschen in Spring Awakening, Elder Price in the Book of Mormon, and Seymour in the Off-Broadway production of Company. But, he's mostly well known for playing Jaimie in the Tony winning revival of Company, WHICH HE WON A TONY FOR! I think he could definitely bring the nerdy and helpful energy to bring Timmy to life on stage.

Riven: Gus Halper
What really sold me on him was his credit that that he's most well known for playing, Mischa Bachinsky in Ride the Cyclone. I feel like the character's two songs are both sides to Riven. He could bring the misunderstood bad boy energy while also getting vulnerable and emotional at moments.

Nabu: Michal Maliakel
Currently, he's playing the lead role in Aladdin on Broadway. In the past, his credits include Cover Raoul in the International Tour of the Phantom of the Opera, George Nowack in She Loves Me, and Artie Green in the Kennedy Center production of Sunset Boulevard. I personally saw him as Aladdin and he was amazing. I feel like there are some similarities between the two characters so, I think he could bring the energy of the specialist that deserved better, Nabu.

a solid 10/10, omg, i love editing. it's probably my favorite part of the writing process because it's the part in which I really see the story take shape, all the narrative pieces fall into place, all the little details sharpen and come into focus. I love editing so much that it's incredibly difficult for me to silence my internal editor while drafting, and that's why I write so slow... I'm definitely guilty of spending hours, days even, on refining the same paragraph or passage before my full draft is even finished 🤣 I'm just so addicted to that high feeling I get when I figure out the perfect word or phrase to make a sentence SING.

🔪: what's the weirdest topic you've researched for a writing project?
ahaha oh man, i fear that my answer to this one is not going to be all that weird or interesting 😅 for King of My Heart I've done a crazy amount of research on various world monarchies, European castles and palaces, and architectural styles of the Mediterranean region. For What Happens In Vegas I spent a truly mind-boggling amount of time scouring AirBnB profiles and Google-Earth scoping various attractions on The Strip, and my phone STILL gives me ads and news alerts for the Las Vegas metropolitan area more than a year later.
now, if we're talking stuff I've researched for my NSFW fics... that's a whole different ballgame. I think that probably my research into fireplay for an as-yet-unfinished Zutara fic probably takes the cake there 😏🔥

OMG. We went 180 degrees from last week’s desert to this week’s paradise of riches in CW’s Nancy Drew land! We knew Larry Teng and the whole crew wouldn’t abandon us with the BTS content. After the seemingly epic filming of episode 6 when it was all quiet on the set last week, we’ve gotten hints from Kennedy and onset photos for Ep. 6, we’ve heard from exciting new ND writers, and saw some glimpses for Ep. 7 that’s filming right now. Let’s get into it!

We were spoiled with so much BTS content last week. Episode 4 of Nancy Drew S4 was a wrap, and Ep.5 started filming on Friday. We got a preview of a gorge new look for George, some drama (and BTS comedy) in the woods, and prepping at an OLD location - Larkspur Lane! Here’s hoping for a Whisper Box 2. We never got actual confirmation that the hospital was completely destroyed in “The Whisper Box.”

Kennedy teased us with her first scarf look of S4. It’s a new color combo for Nancy with the blue checked blazer, yellow top, and floral scarf (the whole look is vaguely reminiscent of a flight attendant uniform). I’m digging it and the scallop shell earrings, which are so Horseshoe Bay (she’ll grow where she’s been planted).
More importantly, she teased us by telling one of lead writers in the comments that wearing a scarf was PERFECT for the episode they’re filming. My mind goes to many possibilities, all involving Ace and definitely triggering the curse…

Some of you might be wondering what kinds of activities we do with our Teen Advisory Group! Basically, our activities change depending on what our library needs at that moment.
Let's talk about what our group did yesterday!
First, we discussed the New York Public Library's new "virtual sticky note" advocacy campaign, and how important it is to fill out a note yourself and also spread the word to other people who want to support the library. P.S. - Many libraries have also started collecting paper sticky notes, as well. And some of them are VERY cute!
We took a sneak peek at NYPL's Summer at the Library 2023 programs.
We looked at the final design (which I selected based on their suggestions) of an item that we'll be giving away during programs and outreach visits this summer. I can't share it publicly yet, but I can tell you that its colors will match the NYPL library flag, and that it's made of recycled material. Stay tuned for pictures when I can share them!
We worked on button designs for our May 19th TEENS GET CRAFTY: Buttons For Bronx Week program. Basically, I used a 1" button template on Canva, and created button designs during the meeting while getting input from the group. it’s me, hi! (i’m gonna start every ask with this i guess lol) 🎅🏻 happy taylor swift day bestie! i hope you had a lovely day riding the tails of a good concert.
film production and tv??? that’s so cool! do you like it a lot? and yeah, not sure but it was super reminiscent of the candids of her and joe in nyc from last month or whenever haha.
traditions are always so much more fun when you’re young i suppose, because i sort of feel the same way. i loved tracking santa too…it was so fun and exciting. watching polar express definitely counts. that’s one of my favorites. it always makes me cry lol. it’s kind of the same for me…not a lot of “traditions,” just stuff i do. like i always watch the jim carrey grinch, and i always watch love actually while i wrap presents. when i was a kid my mom and dad would give me one gift every christmas eve, and it was new pajamas. i’ve always loved that, and last year i got my husband and i new pajamas. it’s more fun when you’re little though and you get to open gifts feeling fresh and new. where in the UK are you? i’m in america, but i’ve heard lovely things about christmas roasts. i wonder if taylor has a christmas roast too now. this is long so last thing: what tv shows and movies and all that do you like?

ahh i love the grinch! i dont think ive ever watched love actually though for some reason so i'll need to add that to my list. the pyjama tradition is so sweet oh my goodness 🥹 i live in south east england ! i absolutely recommend following a british recipe and trying to make your own one day, its so good and i think it would be similar to what you guys have for christmas or thanksgiving?
oooh thats hard, studying film has ruined my perception of tv lmao. i LOVE the princess diaries, tangled and anastasia though. kind of odd but i love the original cloverfield movie from a technical perspective. and im also making my way through the hunger games books and movies right now so i think that counts. tv series i would say sex education, derry girls, bridgerton and wednesday are my top favourites. its so hard to think of shows when you're not mid watching them omg

so when former class 1-A take their first drink of alcohol, celebrating their one year anniversary in the hero industry.
bakugou doesn’t really drink, because hello?? someone needs to be sober and take you home. it’s not safe to be at bars alone
he’s kinda shocked to see that when you’re intoxicated, your entire personality takes a 180
though yeah— bakugou isn’t visibly shocked when he sees you drunk
but he is surprised when he sees you starting to cling on him, in public??
yeah. you guys have been together since your second year in highschool. but that doesn’t mean he’s actually seen you like this
he’s groaning from this sudden action, gripping on your shoulders and shaking you— asking you to “get the hell off of him” but your response is to lean further into him NANDJW
katsuki’s very contradictory though, so don’t be mislead by his harsh words that easily.
while his nature is just being brass, and harsh— katsuki bringing you closer to him, enjoying the sudden affection you’re showering him in
his face only bloomed with red when you started peppering kisses on his forearm, but he decides to act smug about it until
“yeah, they’re affectionate. so what, extras?” he says that with a smirk, but his cheeks are crimson
but then you start cuddling onto yaoyorozu, rubbing your cheek against her shoulder, and he’s just there like 🧍♂️
that’s when he decides to take you home, because only HE can get your affection >:T
and he’s left surprised when you start kissing him
but he kisses back anyways, despite the strong alcohol in your mouth
“damn Y/N, didn’t know this side of you existed. it’s a good thing i fucking love you”
he doesn’t do anything though. he loves your affection, but he knows you’re just like this when you’re drunk
and he rather get your kisses when you’re sober anyway so 🗿
he makes sure to take off any makeup on your face with a cleansing pad (if you’re wearing any) and dress you in proper sleeping wear.
oh and he’s definitely gonna yell at you the next day, saying things like “you didn’t tell me you were like that when you’re drunk, shitty woman.”

he’s over the moon
he was kinda down at first when he found out you weren’t so affectionate in public
but he gets it because not everyone has physical touch as their love language
so you guys just stick with quick touches and kisses (which is totally better than nothing.)
so you guys are drinking casually on a friday night with the bakusqud,
and you guys are talking— denki’s making you laugh, you and mina are just talking while you guys take in some beer
but then you start to get a little tipsy, which kinda lead you to do the funniest things he’s ever seen
and kaminari’s like “🤠 something to tease Y/N for!”
but he’s immediately silenced when you throw your head down on his lap— giggling as you hold onto his hand
kaminari’s like :00 but he’s also like.. omg.
we’re in public?? this is public affection
he takes this moment to accept the touch, as he’s drunk himself. but he never actually brings it to the next step because he wants you to be aware of your actions
and he doesn’t wanna take advantage of you! he may be drunk but he’s still conscious of himself
so yeah— he’s very surprised though because you’re usually collected with physical affection.
but ugh! mina and the others are teasing him about your sudden change of demeanor, and denki’s like..
“yeah! i didn’t know this side of Y/N existed!” denki says, his hand massaging your temple
but you start chasing after everyone in the bakusquad, starting with mina
and denki’s like “woah there :0” and bakugou’s just begging him to take you home
eventually he does take you home, but he’s kinda laughing his ass off because of the things you’re saying— it’s so different.
he does your skincare, because you’re nearly blacked out. and he can only laugh at your intoxicated reactions
and when you guys are finally relaxing on the bed, he’s cupping your cheeks— wondering the next time he’ll see that side
oh, and he’ll definitely teased you the day after— WITH VIDEO EVIDENCE!
shinsou hitoshi
you and hitoshi prefer staying at home more than going to bars every single weekend
but you were a little agitated from the excessive amount of hero work— so mina invited you to go out and get drinks with your friends!
and you think “hm.. why not. it might make me feel less pissy.” and you decide to go with them for drinks also.. don’t drink too much— especially when it’s a coping mechanism
hitoshi accompanies you because he wants to still be with you, and he ends up going for drinks with the rest
hitoshi drinks a bit, but i headcanon his alcohol tolerance to be VERY high. so even with 4 shots, he’s still very much sober.
so he doesn’t get drunk, not even the slightest bit of tipsy.
and he looks over at you, and he sees that you’re staring to become drunk.
so he slides over to you, asking you if you’re okay, as the good boyfriend he is.
your response was to wrap your arms around his shoulders, burying your face into his arm— hiccuping
hitoshi’s surprised at first. the usually introverted Y/N that steers away from public display of affection
is clinging onto him
he’s fine with the fact that you’re not very big on a lot of physical affection, since he’s not very into a lot of pda too
so you guys just stick to holding hands and resting a hand on your back. but HUGS?? LIKE THIS?? he’s ascending
he immediately regains his composure, grinning and admiring you that signature smile of his— holding onto you with one hand

so shinsou takes you away, walking over to get a cup of water— and handing it to you, rubbing your back as he urges you to drink some water
“i know you’re agitated, kitten. but you had too much to drink.” he tells you calmly— as he assists you with walking, holding your hand as you guys walk home
he takes off your makeup (again, if you’re wearing any) and he finds himself admiring you when you cling onto him like a cute little kitten
then, he plops you on the bed, throwing the covers over you— whispering the sweetest things in your ear
“sleep well, Y/N.”
before he could walk away, you call after him— you sit up as your hand grips on his wrist. “toshiii.”
“what is it?”

can he reject your request? no.
he walks over to you and kisses you, his hand resting on your nape— and he feels exhilrated from the sensation
but he pulls back, “you smell like alcohol still.” he teases
you frown, and go under the covers “good night.” hitoshi can only chuckle by this action.
but he sneaks into bed with you, spooning you— as he luls you to sleep
(he doesn’t go to sleep though, because he’s using this time to be thankful for having the privilege to date you.)

I’ve seen a lot about your thoughts on Elisabeth and Tanz der Vampire, and they’ve been really helpful getting into those musicals! But you have a huge list of other musicals that people can get into…
So I was wondering if you had any musicals you hadn’t mentioned in a while that you really like or would like to talk about??? (preferably something from your lists that has a blue heart please?)
Oh if only you knew how long the list of European musicals really is... I however have only seen 9 (if I counted right) and I have a lot more that I still need to watch. Oh also, I only put the blue hearts on any musicals that I was providing multiple links for so people could see which version I reccoment the most highly. If a musical only had one link and didn't have a blue heart it doesn't mean I didn't like it.
I've watched: Mozart das Musical, Elisabeth das Musical, Tanz der Vampire, 3 Musketiers, Mozart L'Opéra Rock, Dracula (the Graz production), Rebecca das Musical, Roméo et Juliette and Schikaneder.
If you enjoyed those two you're likely to enjoy Rebecca! It's written by the same composer/lyricist team as Elisabeth and Mozart (and same lyricist as Tanz der Vampire - though if you're listening to any German musical, original or translated, 90% of the time the lyrics will have been done by Michael Kunze that man is everywhere). The Stuttgart production has my favourite set design of any musical! Well... Actually probably. There are so many big set pieces it's insane, way more than I've seen in some Broadway and West End musicals. You can tell so much work went into it and the visual effects that I won't spoil if you don't know the plot but if you know the plot you know what I mean by the effects at the end are so good and I didn't expect them at all and I freaked out so much the first time I watched it. Jan Ammann as Maxim in the Stuttgart production is the best Maxim. No I won't take any argument. Other actors feel a bit one-dimensional to me, but the way Maxim acts at times comes from trauma and some actors and productions seem to forget that, but Jan really goes for it and his Maxim is a lot more sympathetic and I just want to give him a hug. Pia Douwes as Mrs Danvers, if you've seen her in Elisabeth what more do I need to say, she's amazing. A musical goddess. Her Danny is a bit more wild than some, but she kills it. My favourite video, which I put the blue heart next to, has understudy Christina Patten as Ich/I, but I adore her she's my favourite. She adds some spunk to Ich in act 2 and her voice is so pretty and aaaa. I just love these three actors together in these roles.
Roméo et Juliette is another favourite of mine! It's hard to choose which one to recommend, but it has to be the original 2000/2001 production because of the sweetness and chemistry and voices of Damien Sargue and Cecilia Cara as Romeo and Juliet. They're so pretty and work together so well. The only reason I say it's hard to pick is Mercutio. I adore him, but in the original production they cut out a song they had planned for him and he doesn't really do much at all? In the 2010 revival they gave him two more songs and you care about him so much more and John Eyzen plays such a good Mercutio. So I'd recommend the original but if you want to like Mercutio more, which you should he's amazing, I'd recommend watching at least clips of John's. It's an interesting musical because all productions are non-replica and also change around the order of songs, add or take away characters, all sorts. The Hungarian production is also very popular and I'm sure it's great, I just haven't' gotten around to watching it yet.
Mozart das Musical was the first non-English language musicals I watched so I have a fondness for it, but it's not my favourite. However, I do realise I have forgotten most of the songs and the few I've gone back and listened to are better than I remember.
Dracula isn't super popular and I understand why, I don't love the plot of the Dracula/Mina romance in it, however. I do love this musical because despite how I find the plot lacking, the songs are so good! At least, I love them. And the actors are all doing a great job. And it's one of the few Dracula adaptions to keep Quincy Morris so they get bonus points for that.
Mozart L'Opéra Rock and modern French musicals... This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they're often more like pop-rock operas now. So if you're not into musicals with that style of music it might not be for you, but I still enjoyed it even though I didn't think I would because of the style of music. Mozart and Salieri's chemistry is very good, Salieri's bisexual crisis song is iconic, actually all of Salieri's songs are iconic.
Schikaneder... eh. I didn't like it that much and I didn't really like any of the songs. There's no English subtitles, but someone sent me the entire English synopsis and I watched it with a German friend so I had double the help of understanding it. Doesn't mean others might not like it, just none of the songs stood out to me and I had no desire to listen to any of them again. It's by Steven Scharwz of Wicked fame and I love Wicked, but I didn't love this.
3 Musketiers!! God it's so underrated and not spoken about within the European musical fandom that I even forget about it and literally forgot to write about it earlier in this post. It's a Dutch musical (though did also have a German production) and it's really good!? Faces you might know are Pia Douwes as Milady de Winter, Stanley Burlseon as Cardinal Richeliu (Netherlands Der Tod in Elisabeth), Henk Poort as Athos (Netherlands Phantom and Jean Valjean). The dialgoue is funny, the songs are good, some of the set pieces have no right to exist in this tiny musical?? They made this giant boat and pelt the actors with rain just for one 5 minute song and then we never see the boat again? And while I recommend the Dutch one because Dutch musicals deserve more love and it has official English subtitles!! Official ones, not fanmade! I have the DVD and it comes with English subtitles (and Dutch and German subtitles) which is so nice. The German version is also good, good cast, Pia came back and Uwe Kroger as Richeliu and omg they rearranged the songs and the German arrangement of Nicht Aus Stein is insane and amazing and frankly iconic.
That's all of the ones I have watched. Next on my list to watch are Rudolf and Notre Dame de Paris, both of which I have listened to some songs from and already love (I've listened to way too much of Notre Dame de Paris and am so in love).
I want to start organising streams where I'll host the musical either by getting the video from Youtube or my own files and anyone who wants to join can come along and watch with us, chat with us if you want or just watch there's no pressure to chat. I thought about doing weekly streams? This would also make me finally watch some of the ones I've been meaning to for ages. But I keep wondering about time zones. I'm in the UK and would want to stream at about 11pm at the latest (11pm BST/GMT+1 as we’re in daylight savings at the moment, if the streams continue past the end of October which would be wild then I’ll make a note of the time change that would be to 11pm GMT), which I know can work for other UK and Europeans, but for any Americans would be in the afternoon. So, I wondered if doing it on a weekend would be better? Then it doesn't matter if it's in the afternoon? Maybe Saturday evenings then? It would either be Saturday evenings UK time or Friday evenings UK time. What do you guys think? If people are down then I'll make a separate post with a list of what we'll be watching each week and if anything happens to me that means I can't stream one week then everything will just get pushed back a week, but I don't see that as likely to happen. And I'll only be streaming those that have English subtitles, so don't worry about not being able to understand anything.
edit: am also open to 10pm bst if others want that, im just trying to think of what time works best for everyone so sorry if 11pm is a little late for europeans, i know 10pm could be a little early for americans. also in case it sounded like these are the only musicals i will be streaming, thats not so, ive got more than just the ones mentioned on this list!

BTS x Fem Reader
sinopsis: You are a popular artist in America, pretty famous, loved and well-known by the general public (actually you were one of the top 10 artists in the world but you are pretty humble and naïve to realize your popularity), one day during one of your fan meets you talk about how much you love BTS, and not only how you wish to meet them and work with them but how Jungkook is one of your celebrity crushes. During the meet you fangirled with other ARMYs in the crowd; video clips of you fangirling and talking about BTS at your meet where posted and reposted all over social media. This obviously broke the internet because you were not only a famous singer but you also were always accepted and loved by ARMY and this made a lot of people happy. Suddenly it felt like everyone wanted you to meet the seven handsome and talented idols and collaborate, but you could only wish, you believed they didn't even know who you were...or so you thought
Part 2- BTS x Y/N
You went to bed, turned your phone on silent mode and looked at your ceiling, replaying that fake scenario you talked about a few hours ago, oh how you wished it could become real. Finally dozing off and resting for the work-packed day you had tomorrow; unaware that your social media was currently going crazy and how they yearned for your new weekly EPISODE to come out.
While you were peacefully sleeping social media platforms like twitter and instagram where going crazy all over the world, headlines with titles like: “Y/N FINALLY CONFESSES”, “Y/N AND JUNGKOOK RELATIONSHIP WILL SAVE 2021”, “ARMYs BIGGEST FEAR… Y/N+J&K''. People demanded the episode of the leaked videos to be uploaded as soon as possible, even though it was the middle of the night were you where; your international fans where active and ready for some content after watching the “leaked” videos; they exploded your teams’ contacts; your team left with no other choice but to actually speed up the process and upload said EPISODE; your manager contacted the main editor and offered him two days off if he could finish the video that same night.
The episode was uploaded at around 2 am; meaning in Korea, the video went up at around 4pm.
4:00 o’clock in the afternoon, a beautiful day outside Seoul. The guys were currently about to shoot a new episode of RUN BTS; on set, the guys were standing in the middle of a room as some hair and makeup staff fixed their appearance. Cameras were being set up around them by the camera crew. Staff spread around the room doing their respective tasks. The guys did have their cell phones with them but they were all turned to airplane mode so they wouldn't disturb the shoot. Just like you, they were unaware of what was happening on their social media platforms.
“ACTION!” the director started. RM lead the opening line “1,2,3…”, “Dallyeora Bangtan!” (RUN BTS!) they all said in unison, and the episode began. behind the cameras, staff were learning about the ``BTS x Y/N'' ordeal as the seven boys were filming. The “Hybe Corporation '' (RIP big hit) would normally would see this type of situation as a negative thing for their Idol Star Group’s image, immediately clearing up any misunderstanding and false info that was being spread online; but the head of the company, Bang Si-hyuk, decided to first watch the video himself and look into it this time.
Again, the head team would’ve even ignored this situation, but this time it was different. Bang Si-hyuk actually knew who you were, and was surprised when he saw your name pop up. After a quick meeting the next step was decided for BTS in regards to this situation. “Just to make sure, the boys are still shooting right? Bang Si-hyuk asked his assistant, “Y-yes sir, they are in the middle of a game, no news have been broke to them”; Bang Si-hyuk nodded and looked around the room of people that attended the emergency meeting, “Okay so, like we agreed, we will surprise they boys with this, they are big fans of y/n, and I really do like her too, she is a good girl who goes well with BTS. SO... after their scheduled shoot, send them to the other room and let them react to y/n’s episode highlights, and tell them what is happening, I think this could be the beginning of something good” Bang Si-hyuk concluded the meeting at that. Staff quickly went and prepared everything.
After shoot the guys were expecting to get into their assigned cars and go home like they normally do when they are done on set, but they were stopped by staff; “Guys okay so you are done with this episode, please now direct yourselfs towards the meeting room, the company has treated you to some refreshers, snacks and drinks; you will be told what to do'' The small woman stepped aside to let the boys go to where they were asked to go. The guys didn't think too much of this, brushing it off as a probable “catch-up” meeting.
Once they got to the meeting room they sat on one side of a wooden table, a laptop sitting in the middle, and a single camera behind the table. Jungkook took a seat in front of the laptop, Jimin to his right and Suga to his left; J-Hope, V, Jin and RM sitting in higher chairs behind them in that order, with a clear view on the computer. They all looked at the staff for answers, this was not one of their weekly meetings… The staff allowed them to have the promised snacks, instant noodles and beverages for this. One staff member told them what they were going to do “Okay so before you all go home we need you to react to this video, it is only a couple of minutes long, we have edited it and cut some parts out; you are allowed to eat and loosen up; you can react as you wish and add any comment as well, any questions?” They shook their head as they had done this before so many times.
The video started and a preview came on screen, it was your intro music, on screen a quick preview of your complete episode was shown. The boys immediately recognized the images, they had seen your show many times before. “Oi, it’s y/n'' Jin immediately said as soon as your face appeared on screen, “Is this a new episode?” JImin asked out loud, “Wait what day is it? they normally go up on Friday, did we miss it?” Taehyung spoke, mouth full of spicy noodles, J-Hope and RM reached out and cleaned Taehyung’s face with napkins as if he was a child, before he made a bigger mess.
“Hello everyone welcome to another episode of…. f** I don't even know what we call these videos, jajajaja” “Wait what?... jajajajaja omg guys thank you, I'm so sorry, yeah you heard them, welcome back to y/n’s camera roll, I can’t believe I forgot that, anyway today’s episode is a little different……” Your introduction from the episode played on screen, making the boys chuckle at your genuine personality “hahaha gwiyeoun” (haha cute) Suga added, J-Hope agreeing with him as he gave Suga a piece of the food he was having. Kookie was currently watching the screen not even blinking, he hadn’t taken a bite out of his noodles or a sip out of his banana milk, Jimin noticed and pointed at him looking back at the guys with a silent laugh, they all knew Jungkook was your biggest simp.
The video continued, they kept adding comments and watching with interest. The staff had actually reedited your original video to make it shorter and show the parts where you mention BTS.
“Hi, y/n, can I ask you another question?” you nodded and signaled him to proceed;
“I saw that you liked an instagram post about BTS a while back uploaded by a fan account and I also saw that you actually follow their personal twitter account. ALSO in your behind the scenes video for your music video shoot you can be seen in the background dancing the Boy with luv choreo. So I wanted to ask if you were an ARMY and if you know them personally? and like should we be expecting a collaboration soon?”
You chucked at his talking speed, curious questions and great detective skills.
Jimin reached over and paused the video before they could hear what you answered next. “No way….Omg what she says she hates us” Jimin said. “Imagine if she said she hates us, is this why you guys are making us watch this?” Suga looked at the staff. “Can we keep watching hyungs…” Jungkook said looking around at the others, a bit desperate to find out what you said next. “Oi, wouldn't you want to know guki…” Jin teased him, wiggling his eyebrows and slapping the back of his head playfully. Before Jungkook could fight back RM reached over them and pressed play, preventing a ‘playful’ fight among the youngest and oldest member to take place.
“OMG hahaha I love you so much, what an amazing question, Okay so first off no I don’t know them personally and sadly no plans of collaboration are on sight. Oh wow I have never been asked if I liked BTS before, I’m excited hahaha. Yeah I am an ARMY, I love them so much I am one of their biggest fans, and they are also one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to work ethic and professionalism, listening to them or watching them gives me motivation to keep doing what I love, which is this.
anyway I am rambling I should stop; you guys can say y/n stop whenever I start rambling okay? hahaha''
As this part of the video played, the guys seemed to lean closer to the screen as you spoke. Once you finished your answer they paused the video again. RM stood up with hands on his head; Jin and J-Hope held on to each other with their mouths wide open looking at the screen; V was still sitting in the same spot, frozen, as if he was paused in time along with the now paused screen; Suga stood up with his hands on his mouth bouncing his knees lightly; Jimin reached to RM behind him and stretched his arms out with a ‘Did you hear that?’ expression; Jungkook leaned over the table and pulled the screen closer, he was smiling from ear to ear letting out a small “wow” under his breath, then he replayed your answer to listen to it one more time, rereading the subtitles under the video making sure he did not miss any words.
“OMG NO WAY, NO WAY DUDE” Tae came out of his frozen state and held on to Jungkook's shoulders shaking slightly; They all looked at eachother surprised, they couldn't believe that ‘the one and only Y/N’ was an ARMY. They composed themselves and played the video to proceed once the staff told them there was more.
The video resumed:
“Guys should we actually talk about BTS for a bit? hahaha” you asked your fans
A girl spoke after: “Can I ask you a BTS question then? Okay so, who is your favorite member?
“Well first off, I don't have a favorite member. I really mean it when I say this. I love them all equally and I love them all as a group. I don’t prefer one over the other or like one better. I really do support them equally. I mean there is nothing wrong with having a bias, as long as you also respect the other members, hope that all made sense lol” Everyone seemed moved by your support towards them and nodded.
Again the boys reacted, they were so surprised they paused again and walked back and forth making sounds of excitement; They loved the way you answered the question and were so moved by your love and appreciation towards them and the way you saw them as a group. They felt like jumping and celebrating. They sat back down again to keep watching their favorite american artist talk about them some more.
Your episode was again cut and it skipped to another question:
“Y/n so you don’t have a favorite, but do you have a crush on any of them?, like if you could date one of them right now, which one do you pick?” A fan asked.
The guys chuckled at the question, they thought there was no way you would answer such a question.
“okay...well...Like I said just to be clear I don't have favorites amongst the group members, but I do have a type…. I consider one of them to be my celebrity crush”......
“So in that case, if I had to pick someone that I would date in real life...i would say…. Jungkook”
The. Guys. Went. Nuts. Jungkook immediately stood up and lifted his hands up in the air as if he had won an award, he paused the video and started smiling like crazy; his cheeks tinted in a redish pinkish tone, he covered his face as he was at a loss for words, he knew he was seen as attractive by female and male artists, he even knew of a couple of well known idols who had admitted to having a crush on him; but this was different, he had considered you to be his celebrity crush for years now, ever since your debut in america when you were just 15 and he was 16; he was a big fan of yours; he knew everything about you, he loved your music, he thought you were one of the prettiest girls he had ever seen, he even had a picture of you performing as his wallpaper currently; he constantly watched your videos and wished he could someday date a girl like you.
A staff member spoke, taking Jungkook out of his trance state: “How do you feel Jungkook?” He lifted his face from his hands and ran his fingers through his hair, his eyes were glossy and his smile wide. “I-I don't know what to say, I can’t believe it,” he said as he sat down looking at the pause screen, looking at your still image. His hyungs patted him on the back; Jimin turned his head to the staff as he was rubbing JK’s back with one hand, “You know Jungook has had the biggest crush on y/n for so long now” Jimin told the staff. The other members agreed and nodded. Jungkook looked up and spoke to the staff: “Yeah I remember listening to her debut song for the longest time without really thinking about who the artist was. When her first studio album broke records I decided to look her up, I watched a video of her talking about the album and her experience as a new artist and I think ever since then I have had a crush on her; she is my ideal type”
“Why is she your ideal type?” a staff member in the back asked JK. “Ha. um. well I think my ideal type of girl is someone who is funny and has a bright and cool personality; someone who as soon as they step into a room they immediately light it up; someone who is goofy and isn't afraid to become a joke or mess up; A confident person; someone who isn't too girly or too boyish; someone who likes to learn new things and from who I can learn new things too; someone who is younger than me; Someone who loves dancing and singing a lot, etc. And y/n is kinda all that and more tbh; He rambled, the guys were all used to his ‘secret fangirling over y/n’ habit, but the staff was taken aback; they only thought the guys thought highly of you as an artist, but this… they felt moved. “Ay ay, stop drooling, lets keep watching hahaha” Suga poked at JK’s side and pressed play.
The video time skipped again: “...I love that question, and your scenario is so cute, you should write a tumblr post about it, well yeah I obviously have created fake scenarios in my head about BTS, past crushes, fake arguments even hahaha, there are so many BTS fake scenarios in my head…. hmm oh I know which one, okay so this fantasy of mine is about how I would meet them irl and work with them, I will make it quick”
“Okay so, my literal fantasy is to one day meet them at a talk show, you know how hosts like to surprise their guests with something/someone they like?, I believe Ellen has done it multiple times where she surprised a guest with their idol or celebrity crush, you know?” The group nodded, invested in your fake scenario “Well i would be invited to like the Jimmy Fallon Show, where he would just randomly surprise me with BTS. Then I would be given the opportunity to introduce myself and tell them how much I love and support them. I would also be able to show them my korean speaking skills, I learned Korean and Spanish back in school and I have never been able to actually use either them, lol, anyway...well after that we would all become really good friends, and we would collaborate and put out one or multiple songs for you guys. I mean that's basically it, I wish I could meet them, and become their friend and write songs with them, even produce songs with Suga or RM if I could''
“What???? does she speak korean?”
“OMG Jungkook is she speaks korean marry her”
“OMG I wanna meet her now”
“That's so cute”
“She is so cool”
The guys added and all looked adoringly at the screen; RM and Suga also commented about how they would love to work with someone like you and produce a ton of music together and that they wish you all could collaborate in the future too.

And That is how the boys learned about the video and your view on them….not only that they also learned about your embarrassing fantasy and celebrity crush…. After finishing their day at work, they went home and watched your episode complete this time. They felt like they accomplished something so important by just leaning your perception on them. Jungkook also felt that but he was even more excited than the rest, his celebrity crush had admitted to crushing on him back, he knows that the chances of meeting you or even having a friendship with you were probably non existent. And even if they did meet you, the idea of dating you in real life seemed impossible to him due to you both being artists, under strict and powerful companies, living opposite sides of the world, in different time zones even; but he was still happy, and the guys too; they all went to bed wishing they could someday meet you.

My Comic Con 2021 Winter experience
As some of you know, I also went to the German Comic Con Winter Edition on 04th December 2021.
I told some of you via DM how it was, especially meeting Gustaf Skarsgård, now I share for everyone. As always under a read more.
This time I didn’t stay in a hotel in Dortmund. They were so expensive in December! I drove there very early in the morning and drove back home after the con. By train by the way.
Anyway this con was much bigger than the one in September. This one was only a “Limited Edition”, only one hall and outside. The Winter Edition was in 7 halls. A hall for the autographes, a hall for the photo OP’s, a hall where you could eat etc.
I immediately went to the autograph hall and stood in line for Gustaf’s autograph. There were only like 4 people in front of me, so yay. I didn’t have a VIP ticket, just a normal one, so I was happy that there weren’t too many people yet.
The actors weren’t there yet, but came a little earlier than scheduled (I think the beginning time for the autographes was 11 am, they were around 15 minutes earlier). I was so excited to see them! I saw Georgia Hirst, Clive Standen, Alexander Ludwig, Travis Fimmel....and then omg Gustaf! Is this the real life?? Alex Høgh Andersen sadly sat too far away.
The four people in front of me were very quick, so I finally stood in front of him. He was soooo sweet!! I told some of you already, that he smiled a lot! Next to Gustaf was again a staff member and she wrote my name on a note, so that it was written correctly on the autograph. He saw my name and said it like a question. I answered, yes it’s an Italian name. He thought then I was Italian, I told him half Italian. He then asked if I lived around Dortmund. I anwered, that i had a three hour train ride and he was like Wow! I then told him how excited and happy I was that he was there. He looked at me and said that he’s happy to hear that. Yeah he signed the autograph for me and I wished him a good day. I’m a little sad that I was so nervous. I wanted to tell him how much I love his acting, his potrayal of Floki or Merlin. But cat got my tongue.
Later I took the photo with him. But these photo OP’s are always very quick. I nearly forget to take off my mask! (You were allowed to take them off for the pic).
As it’s December and I’m still only working half time til the end of the year, I couldn’t take more pics with other stars. I took one with Ashley Greene, as I used to be a big Twilight Fan.
I watched the Panels of Christopher Lloyd (It was so amazing to see a legend like him in real life! I love Back to the Future!), Ashley Greene and the Vikings Panel of course! It was so fun and entertaining! I’m so happy the panels are uploaded on youtube. So if you love Vikings, please check out the panels on youtube! You can contact me for the links.
Clive Standen seemed to be very sweet, he even hugged people at the autograph table! Also Travis Fimmel seemed to be fun. Whoever I talked to said, that he’s amazing. I met Alex in September, so I know he’s amazing ;) Georgia is very pretty! She sat next to Gustaf’s table, so I could see her very well. Alexander Ludwig also seemed very nice.
Many people said that Friday and Sunday were much more relaxed than Saturday. I even thought about driving there on Sunday. But I need the money for christmas presents and well, to live.
But it was a beautiful experience! My wish for the next con is, that all the Vikings actors come again, maybe an area just for Vikings (they did this for Pretty Little Liars or Riverdale before. You need to pay extra though).
I hope that I can drive again, preferably to Dortmund, that I can go more than only one day and I hope that some of you drive, too and that we can meet!

My fic year in review
Total number of completed stories: 3
Total word count: about 90 k (published, plus about 20k of unfinished drafts, fragments, half-stories and abandoned ideas)

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected? Less, much less. After I finished Bakers with Benefits, I only finished 2 fics. Granted, I did have a nasty car accident at the end of October that killed my writing fu for a while, but I was bad at it before. A lot of my year was consumed by Bakers, and that’s a good thing, but I wish I could just settle on a story and write it from beginning to end without being like, “OMG, every word I produce is shit and nothing I have to say is interesting, waaaaah!”
What’s your own favorite story of the year? I’m going to be honest and say that I love all my three stories I wrote this year to bits and consider them to be good work, but I’m especially proud of Bakers with Benefits, because it’s the longest story I ever wrote by far, and I think I pulled off what I wanted to do with it perfectly.
Did you take any writing risks this year? I wrote 83 k about baking, does that count?
No, seriously,the first draft of Running Obliquely was first person, and it didn’t work at all, so I abandoned the experiment and the story came out pretty much word-perfect on the first try, so sometimes experimentation works and sometimes you try something and remember, “Oh, right, this is why I don’t do that. Because I suck at it.”
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year? Oh my god, I just want to bloody FINISH something. Anything. Gaaaaaah.
Most popular story of the year? Bakers with Benefits, without a doubt. But all my stories got a lot of love this year, so thank you, fandom!
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: This year, honestly, none.
Most fun story to write: Probably Without Complexities or Pride, it just flowed out on a Friday afternoon, from just one sentence, that one idea, that Sherlock initially thinks that love is stupid, and has to unlearn that lesson. Although the most fun I had was writing the cake war chapter in Bakers with Benefits, that was just delightful. And the most “OMG, of COURSE!” moment I had this year was when I sat down and wrote the speech Sherlock gives Mycroft near the end of Bakers, because I suddenly had an epiphany about how I wanted the story to end, and I wrote this literally five minutes before I had to go pick up my kid, and I didn’t have to change a word of it in edit.
Most unintentionally telling story: Bakers with Benefits in a way, because John’s family history is heavily influenced by my own, and his Austrian baking is pretty much my family recpies sprinkled with some shit I made up out of thin air. Though nobody in my family makes Punschkrapfen. Unfortunately. Also, some of the baking mistakes were influenced by baking mistakes I or my wife made. Incidentally, my wife and I had a very Sherlock-and-John-in-Bakers conversation, where I was like, “Hon, your recipe just says baking powder. No quantities. Just baking powder.” And she was like, eh, and just threw some baking powder into the mix. I still have no idea how much baking powder to add to this cake, btw. So the next time I bake it we’ll have the exact same conversation ;-)
Biggest disappointment: My inability to finish anything and my lack of confidence in my own writing, or better yet my own ideas. I start something, get, like, 5 k in, or even 10k, and then I’m like, omg, this is shit, nobody cares, I have nothing interesting to say, fuck, why do I even bother. It’s HORRIBLE. Though I do have an idea right now that could turn into something interesting. But I’ll probably think it’s shit tomorrow. Gah.
Biggest surprise: That you all loved my bakers *hearts*. Seriously, I can’t begin to describe what sharing that story was like, how I loved every single comment. I wrote so much of it in lockdown, and getting to share it with a community was so lovely. The highlight of my fic writing year was the chapter where the comment section was all like, “Sherlock, you FUCKING IDIOT!!” *hearts* I love you guys.

Final Thoughts
Okie Dokie, I actually liked this movie a lot.
The acting was absolutely phenomenal, especially on Alexandra’s Daddario and Taissa Farmiga’s part, the characters were so well played. They focused in on so different points of view in this story that it captured the chaos that they were living individually and as a group under one roof. It constantly kept you on edge with the strange nuances in their dialogue, unnerving pauses and the progression of the condition of each character.
It was great. The aesthetic was there, the small but necessary breaks with dark humour really kept the story flowing and most of all, the fervour. It was everywhere, in their emotions or outbursts like Charles at the dinner table and on the stairs, or the way the townspeople kept adding fuel to their own personal hell. And I must admit, it's hard to make characters like Jim the firefighter relevant, but every person that this story involves has a distinct purpose and significance to the plot.
The only negative thing I could think of was I just wish there was more, I wanted it to be longer so that the small gaps in the movie could have been powerful. Okay, what else. Yes, Charles Blackwood, despite all of...that, will make a great character for me to touch on and has a lot of interesting qualities that I will be sure to tap into. Oh! And the only reason why no one else is getting the stan award was that my coffee mama was the only character who wasn't off the rails or just a terrible waste of human life! We stan!

What’s wrong with the Unwind author? Genuine question. Never heard anything about it, so I’m curious, and cautious.
Leaving the poster in can be nice if you’re trying to keep your collector’s edition in perfect shape, but I get you. It’s definitely more fun to actually put it up, lol.

Oh, sorry! I actually did screenshot your friend code last time you posted it. I haven’t played it in months so I haven’t gotten it figured out, yet. Gaming is not one of my hobbies anymore. 😅 Multiplayer games are not my choice when I do play, but will still add you once I’ve gotten on again.

Actually, I don’t like the Jedi (prequels era), myself, haha. Some of it has to do with just not liking fantasy and preferring the sci-fi aspect of Star Wars, but a lot of it has to do with their messed up politics, the “no attachments” rule (which they also use to remove children from their families- I am not a fan of this), the slavery they employed and allowed in some systems, and the holier-than-thou attitude they seemed to pick up for a while before Order 66. I don’t mind if people like them, and I love specific Jedi like Kanan, Luke (OT and Legends only), Ahsoka (also prior material- I didn’t care for her most recent portrayal as I personally felt it didn’t line up with her character or her sentiments), and Bardan Jusik from Republic Commando. It’s mostly the mentality they pushed during the Clone Wars and TPM-age that I don’t care for. Haven’t yet read The High Republic, so I can’t give you any preferences or dislikes, there, unfortunately.
Also The Amazing World of Gumball is aptly titled. That was a great show.

I think he’s probably fine as a person (a google didn’t show anything) and the whole book is supposed to be overdramatized abortion or whatever but it’s like. First of all, I read it in college in a young adult lit class and just was livid about it because it’s just stupid and dramatic. And two, now that I work in that actual field?? Making people repulsed by organ donation is. Bad. Especially when so much good can come from one (1) body! And you’re so dead when it happens. Your brain is kaput. It’s done respectfully. So I get what he’s trying to do there but ultimately it is a degrading view of this industry.

Okay yeah I agree with most of that. I think the war is what ultimately destroyed the Jedi order and losing sight of their original goals. Which. Is why everyone should read the High Republic where the Jedi are Cool As Fuck and just doing very well and have different paths people can take. And yeah. Very good. Mostly tho who wouldn’t want a lightsaber and also the Force? Pls.
It’s been good! Probably should have gotten out of the house more and done fun things or gone out but also I don’t care. Just resetting myself. Which I’m def gonna try to do every couple of months. 40+ hours a week is a lot. But it is what it is.
