Was itching to take a crack at drawing one of my favorite doodles from @ask-the-rag-dolly’s discord of sweet doggie Ragatha and a sopping wet cat Pomni. Making Ragatha a Komondor dog was a peak design choice.

would have asked @/writingwithcolor but their ask box is closed at time of writing and i'm having 0 luck searching this online, SO @ any followers of mine with dreadlocks (maybe this applies to other protective styles too? but i'm very white and my question is specifically about locs):

i've got a character (you can see him here) who has long dreadlocks. i know it's good practice to cover them while you sleep all night and/or use silk bedding, but does that also apply to taking a nap? like a couple hours at most? is there a significant difference to not covering for a nap or does it even matter?
