Happy hobbit day!! Today I have been pretty tired. I slept very well, but my I guess having to commute is draning a lot of energy from me. I did struggle a bit to stay focused in class, but we touched interesting subjects, and I can confirm I like the way this professor carries the lectures. He did finish a bit later than usual which for me meant missing my bus and having to wait an additional 50 minutes. I phoned my mom to have a chat and pass the time and walked around, and I ended up buying this amazing ghost mug. It's smaller than what I would normally go for, but it's a great addition to my small collection. When I got home I also went to my herbalitst's shop to get a couple of teas i had run out of (and there of course I saw a bunch of other beautiful mugs and I want them all).
Cozy hobbit activities and productivity:
Read first thing in the morning
Packed some lunch before leaving the house
Listened to podcasts during my commute
Had a walk to go to uni and back
3 hour English lit lecture
Got my new beloved mug (i was also looking for a ghost themed tote bag but unfortunately I couldn't find it)
Daily duolingo Irish practice
Highlighted today and yesterday's notes
Crocheting my mushroom cardigan (I am considering packing a ball of yarn in my school bag to crochet a bit on the bus but I haven't tested yet)
Drinking a tea (as I write this) in my new mug under a blanket because my room is freezing

Flat hunting!
Pairings: kunikida × reader
Genre: fluff
Summary: you are looking for a new home with your boyfriend.
Warnings: none (mention of having kids I the future)
You sighed exhausted. You really thought that looking for a new flat could be funny an maybe it was, but only during the first two days. Why it had to be so draning, looking for a new house for you and your boyfriend Kunikida? Your sweet and caring boyfriend that was making all of this a nightmare?
He had a very clear idea of what your new home should look like. Maybe a little to clear for your budget. Not like it was little, you both had good jobs, but you were pretty sure the house he had in mind was worth some good millions.
All you wanted was a nice apartment, maybe with a studio or a balcony. It would have being truly amazing if it was in a nice zone. He wanted to make sure that the neighbourhood was nice, that the there was a supermarket near, that both of your work places weren't to far away, that the apartment had plenty of natural light, a balcony, a studio, a built in wardrobe, a big kitchen, heated floors, a laundry room...
You headed to your appointment with the lady that should have shown you the eligible flats. She knew all of your request and was really patient. But she wasn't there. Apparently she was sick and sent there a colleague to help you two. The new lady looked very kind and said that you she had being informed about all your needs.
The first flat was a disaster even for you: very noisy and not so clean. Kunikida tried to by nice during the visit, but he was clearly relieved when you told him you didn't like the flat.
The second looked pretty nice to you, with a nice bedroom and a big bathroom. Guess what? He didn't like how little the window in kitchen was (what would you have done if there was some smoke or you wanted to change the air) and didn't even noticed the studio. He did liked though the fact that there was a park near.
You knew he was getting a little stressed and he was only really trying to find the perfect place for you two. He even said that actually, he quite liked one of the first apartments you had visited and he had nothing against visiting it again, to make sure it's actually good.
The apartment he had in mind was actually a good option. It was definitely one of your favourites and he knew that, but he hoped for something better. But at that point even Kunikida was down for anything that a place to sleep and a roof.
Luckily the seller interrupted his worries.
"I may have an idea that could work for a couple like you..."
And knowing how this ended oh boy, she was right.
The neighbourhood looked really nice, with a big park and few shops in the surroundings. The bus stop was not to far away. That was even a cafe right in front of the building. He looked pretty satisfied with that, giving you a gentle kiss on your forehead while telling you that in that way he could have bought you breakfast every day.
And also the flat itself was a surprise. A big balcony with enough space to eat outside took your heart as soon as you entered. But also the studio was lovely and the living room and the kitchen and the windows...
A little bit too hopeful you looked at Kunikida, who was examining every single centimetre. You couldn't be happier when he gave a thumb up at the kitchen and at the big window in the living room. And when he wanted to show you how pretty the studio was you were literally about to ask him to marry you.
There was also a bathroom for your guest, which was more than nice considering how often his colleagues visited him.
"And for the bedroom?" You asked.
"Here is the twist..."
You looked at Kunikida, who looked at you worried: it was all going to well.
She then showed you the bedroom, that was everything you could want and more. Also the bathroom was quite big.
You left the room, with Kunikida arm gently resting behind you back, giving you a light and playful squeeze to let you know he liked really everything.
The lady then proced explaining " I really like this apartment for you... quite, roomy, good neighbourhood... Oh and I almost forgot the reason why I thought it was so nice. Because there is a twist. You see this door, it's an extra room, now it's empty but you can easily tourn it into a nursery and..."
You blushed and Kunikida blushed even more. In his mind all he could see was you in that empty room putting your child to sleep. Or you two thinking about a name for the baby. Or you pregnant asking him to go the cafe to buy one of those pastries you've being craving...
"And did I mention there is also a school here? A good one. And also a playground. Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't really discreet, was I? Really really sorry."
While you were still very red and thinking about your future, your boyfriend trying to go back to reality did his best to reassure her that nothing was wrong. But he wasn't doing a good job considering the fact that he really had just one thing in his mind at the moment.
You then finally had a moment for yourself, so that you could go around the flat and discuss a little. But ther wasn't a lot to say. As soon as the lady gave you a second, he kissed you tenderly and whispered the sweetest things.
You still looked around a bit without mentioning future pregnancy: it's the kind of topic you want to discuss at home (and the very same day you would have).
It wasn't an hard decision, really, and in less than one month you were already moving there.

Fun fact:"Jailbreak" is one of the first videos to make use of explosives and fake blood. Paul Drane (the director) is quoted saying, "We didn't really know how much explosives we were going to need to make the doors fly open, and I had a couple of guys from props with sticks, trying to push the doors apart, so the hinges are not really there...It was the first time we'd had access to anything like this, these exploding blood packs."
