Lately on my mind has been Frederick and Bright Eyes.

I, unfortunately enough, found Redacted originally pretty early into his channel. But I also wasn't really into asmr bf experiences, so I kind of just went "Oh cool. Anyway, where are my animations?"

So while I did know about his channel's existence, I never got to experience Fred's storyline. Which is major bummer and very much my bad. Not very cowabunga of me.

But, I do know some basics from having some explanations gracefully dunked on my head upon request. And with the newest info (relatively new anyways) of Fred taking Sam's last name, and Sam getting in a few hits on Quinn for what he did, you have to assume he's Hella close with Fred, if not BE as well by now. I mean, it's been years since they were turned.

So... what happens to them with Sam leaving the clan? Are they leaving with him? Are they staying? Are they splitting up? Like, what's going on? Are they going with Vincent (to my understanding Fred was kinda close with Vincent too?)

Is Sam gonna lose his job now? His house? William doesn't seem to be the type to force him to move out or fire him. But it feels like Sam might choose to do so.

Is he gonna get a new job? Or is Darlin gonna be the main provider? Is he gonna be a house spouse?

...are they gonna get a farm? Omg what if they got a farm? A livestock farm so Sam can be the cowboy he was always meant to be?

Am I now imagining Sam Fucking Collins tending to a sweet little calf as he feeds it with a bottle? Yes, I am. But I'm also imagining him riding a horse.

Plot twist: It wasn't actually William who told Porter to kill the Bennets, it was a Bright Eyes and Fred in a trench coat doing a french accent. Neither of them are sure how they got away with it, and both are scared of what will happen when William comes back.

Sam x Lovely headcanons

STRICTLY PLATONIC/CLOSE AS SIBLINGS

⚕️Ever since Sam healed them after Adam’s attack, he saw how distraught Vincent was and vowed then and there he would protect Lovely no matter what.

🍿Vincent and Lovely and Sam and Darlin’ have movie nights as unstated double dates.

📞If Vincent tells Lovely updates on Quinn, they call Sam to let him vent out things he doesn’t want to put on Darlin’s shoulders.

🍼Sam calls Lovely to babysit Vincent after asking him to babysit Fredrick and Bright Eyes.

🫂They hug every time they meet up.

🩸Sam held Lovely’s hand while Vincent turned them.

💬In the beginning of their relationship, Lovely would text Sam to ask Vincent’s favorite things so they could surprise him.

😠Lovely was pretty upset with Sam when he ambushed them with Porter, but after they got to hit him, they were better.

🧛🧛🧛During the Summit, when Porter started antagonizing Vincent into a fight, Lovely said Sam’s name quietly, knowing he would hear them, and he rushed over to break it up.

👩‍⚖️At the “trial” after Alexander’s murder, Sam stayed close to Lovely ready to jump in if he needed to. Especially when Christopher was explaining how it could have been one of the Solaires who did it and things were getting tense.

I really wish we could see if they have any sort of relationship.

Frederick and Bright Eyes Original Storyline

I've seen so many interesting convos since I joined trying to explain this old storyline, and public threads of people asking and sharing what they have on it.

Since there’s new canonical storyline mentions from Erik of these characters now and more fandom interest about their old storyline...

Here's video, clips and captions regarding this story that have currently been shared by the fandom (until April 2023), organised. Let me know if anything is missing.

Note: Remember that this is mostly no longer considered canon. The characters are still relevant (although the 'Bright Eyes' listener character is now mentioned offscreen as Frederick's progeny), everything in other audios mentioned about them is relevant, and the official timeline (Oct 2020) basically has a summary that is just the first video (With one main creative difference, that being Quinn's characterisation). But the other story stuff here is no longer canon.

I just thought it would be fun to share.

Imagine that as a thing to show off their wealth, vampire monarchs wear gems on their fangs because it keeps them from feeding on people (or at least makes the process more difficult) and therefore shows others that they have the money to just live off of blood bags (and that they have the money to get super expensive gems made into jewelry for their teeth but that's secondary right now-).

William specifically used to have a sapphire on each of his top canines (mainly because of his vow to never turn anyone and the added difficulty of even biting anyone through these accessories was supposed to have him rethink it if he ever so much as considered to turn anyone) but he had them removed after he turned Vincent and had them reshaped into earrings. He's never worn them and they slowly collect dust in a fancy little box.

Vincent has a heart-shaped ruby on his bottom left fang (he chose this placement because there the gem wouldn't get in the way while feeding) and after they got turned, he offered to get Lovely a matching one. They also go get it renewed together every one and a half years or so and make a cute date out of it.

Alexis, on the 50th anniversary of her turning, got herself a small diamond to put on her top right fang. Before that, she had an oval-shaped garnet on both her fangs instead. She says she wears them purely for the aesthetic, but if you bother her long enough she'll admit that she likes how people squirm as the jewelry digs into their skin.

Porter likes jewelry and nice things as much as the rest of his clan, but he was never fond of the inconvenience tooth gems pose so he never got any. However, William has offered to get him one or more custom-made on multiple occasions before he let Porter go off and do his thing away from the clan. If he ever were to get any jewelry for his teeth though, he'd get something done with amethyst.

Sam has a very subtle, diamond-shaped, white quartz on his top right fang. It was Vincent's suggestion (and he was the one to pay for the jewelry and the procedure of attaching it) to get Sam more comfortable with his new body.

Bright Eyes is not a fan of tooth gems, but they do have two silver fangs because ☆style☆ However, they do enjoy looking at different designs for them similarly to how they just browse tattoo designs without ever getting one done.

Frederick doesn't want any jewelry on his teeth either because he's worried about it somehow getting caught on his lip and injuring himself or something of the like. Sam told him that nothing like that had ever happened to anyone he knew to have tooth gems, but Fred still didn't want to get one.
