Controversial but Darkstar from Mapleshade's Vengeance is way overhated. I believe this stems from Dr*kinator's lie that she buried Mapleshade's kits in the mud, away from the rest of the RiverClan warriors. However, this isn't true.

"Darkstar gestured with her tail. "Rainfall, help Splashfoot and Eeltail to bury these kits. The accident of their birth is not their fault. They may lie in peace in our territory now.""

I also don't think she was nessasarily wrong to turn away Mapleshade. From her perspective, she only knows two things about Mapleshade.

1. She's a traitor. If she betrayed her birth Clan and lied for moons why wouldn't she do that again after joining RiverClan.

2. She lacks common sense. Mapleshade brought her kits to a flooded river where the water was covering the stepping stones, and thought it was a good idea to make them cross. That's a severe lack of common sense and would not make for a good Clanmate.

Not to mention her taking in an enemy warrior that ThunderClan exiled could be seen as an insult and worsened the war.

And it's arguable she showed some sympathy to Mapleshade, though little. Like with Appledusk, she believes the death of her kits is punishment enough, and so her warriors won't attack Maple. She just won't let her join the Clan.

And I can see why she would let Appledusk stay but not Mapleshade. He's not the reason the kits died, and it's sort of implied in the books (at least imo) that if the kits had survived Darkstar would've let them stay. Also he's a warrior of her Clan that she's known for years and probably has more attachment too. She also states that it's not a season for losing warriors.

(I will say her not letting Mapleshade stay for her kits' burial is rough, but I guess understandable? I mean she was the main cause of their deaths)

All in all, I think Darkstar is logical. It's logical for Appledusk to stay. It's logical to turn out Mapleshade. It's logically not the kits' fault. And she's ahead of her time, due to her sympathy towards the half-Clan kits, stating that the circumstances of their births are not their fault (unlike Oakstar and Frecklewish, who apparently couldn't think of that concept). Even in present day, cats are persecuted for their parents actions, and Darkstar is different than that. I think she's a really cool character, despite seeing so little of her.

This is going to be a list of thing I’m either trying to let go use as fuel to remind myself that I can’t really trust anyone. This year I felt like I really tried and was faced with a bunch of people that wanted to use me.

Spent all year working on REVEAL with Sylvia and Levi. Never actually getting to dance because Monyett had high expectations that I was the only one trying to fulfill. Sylvia would try to take credit for my hard work by taking things out of my hands and presenting them as if from her. —- Also with her its weird because when I’m sharing with her she’ll literally star a whole new conversation with someone in the middle of my talking. She calls me her friend but I feel y car p eh RED ike she’d drop me to hangout with NIKI, Marlyn and them. And even if she was my friend she never invited me to do anything but of course invited Niki. Just someone that wanted to know my business and pretended to care.

Ramen Incident with Monyett, Annie and Jimmy after helping them all day and not even being able to take class

Had to deal with Marlyn being weird to be around mutual friends and when I reached out to clear air again, switched around on me again, judging me for being upset at the way she hurt me which she never apologized for or wondered what I was going through. Also prevented me from making more dance connections because of her uncomfortable.

Had to deal with Monyett and Niki inviting her to help with Reveal and be apart of project even after I stated I was uncomfortable with that.

Wasn’t invited to any merch shoots even though I had been running around doing the grunt work for the sessions and making myself available.

Had to deal with Monyett not reaching out about anything but REVEAL. Knew nothing of what was going on in my life just knew I was unfulfilled with dance and made no suggestions of how to really help me move foreword to the goal until I quit REVEAL.

Had to deal with realizing Monyett isn’t a real friend to me unless I can do something for him but if I’m not offering anything he’s not interested

Had to deal with him not even giving me a shot to be Red Bull performance when that would have done wonders for my confidence but instead triggered my insecurities and lead to sleeping in my car.

Jimmy and I end friendship due to his mistreatment to me

Mom is marrying Keithy and it breaks my heart because I don’t feel like I can be close with her with him around and she doesn’t care

Family I work for tells me I’m unreliable lately right after I get my wisdom teeth removed and am going through a really hard time all while they are underpaying me.

Mom has a stroke before going to LA/

Jonboy gets charged with double homicide

family goes into shock. Jas heart hurts

Mom leaves Keithy due to mistreatment and moves in with Keithy

This happens while I’m at a dance camp and I go into a state of shock and depression. Not to mention the program is filled with Niki, Marlyn and Jaylyn who getting all the attention just like in Chicago which is a good reason why I decided to leave so that I could focus on me without them triggering all my insecurities and I can get them under control

Roommates being weird to me about using their charger, people expecting rides and being inconsiderate of my time. Alisha asking for 7$ back after all I’ve done for her this entire trip. It also seemed like KO didn’t really fuck with me especially since had the attention of all the other Chicago girls.

All while being overlooked in dance and no one giving me actual feedback except generilization

Now I stay in my car away from everyone because the only person. I can count on is me. This shows me everyone’s true colors and I gotta start doing what I gotta do to protect my peace.

I'm reading about things and coming across this event tidbit made me remember. Oh yeah the flame legion were FUCKED actually:

Champion Drakin Cinderspire: "Oh, woman playing soldier. We have a space in the breeding farms for your insolence. Surrender and atone!"

and on the of the NPCs is a freed flame legion slave, who says this (But only to a female charr):

"I had a name before, but I don't remember it. They call me Salina Scorchstep. I heard you've been slitting Flame Legion throats. Did you make them suffer?"

(PC) >How long have you been with this group? "Ever since they freed me. 163 kills ago. Vesta saved me. I owe her. I'll kill for her. Won't stop until every one in Flame Legion is dead by my hand."

>You measure time in kills? "Flame Legion would blindfold and drug me days on end. Months, years... just gone. Can't remember my name or my age. Now, I mark how many Flame Legion I kill."

If you aren't female charr, or apparently didn't complete the event, this is all she has to say:

Salina sizes you up quickly with narrow, cruel eyes. Without a word, she turns away.

But yeah. Charr gender equality especially in the fire legion? fuuuuuucked to say the least. This feels like one of those events easily missed unless ur doing some collections for things or legendaries but somehow I'd always managed to miss this kind of thing
