Following my drag-affirmative reblog I feel I must give due credit to the gorgeous Dakota Schiffer. You will know - of course - that Dakota is a trans woman, with a twin (Winona) who is nonbinary. I was so inspired by how Dakota brought pure femininity to Drag Race. And I'm going to be honest, her hands are just so expressively feminine that I've frankly copied her very precise clapping technique. So exquisite! So femme! So not going to leave anyone in any doubt!

I’m just gonna admit I had a lot of fun including the Drag Pride flag among my Pride stuff. But I didn’t want to reuse two characters who done already had theirses. So I went with a different one. Meet Pendra Stratos, one of a well known pair of twin bearded queens in my setting. Offstage in boy mode Pendra is Pendragon Magenstaff, pansexual disaster, college professor of magic and magical history, and father of two, in a lovely polycule with his girlfriend Mia and their mutual datemate Lannis (the mortal identity that my homebrew setting deity Lanwyrr takes, though Pendy and Mia have no idea they’re actually dating a deity). Fun fact, those patches of red scales are kind of a nod to Pendy being a Draconic bloodline sorcerer.

you can be down for simple assimilation for yourself but many of us just want to be respected as is because theres nothing wrong with being different. especially those of us who are also neurodivergent on top of queer or many other things people often ostracize in society.

if you want other queers to water themselves down or just completely close off parts of their identity and self expression so that you wont be associated with those ~freaks~ and can be more easily accepted by The Normies, then you are not caring about your fellow queers at all.

we arent doing any harm, and we should be pushing for people to accept others no matter how HARMLESSLY strange and unusual they may come across. challenging the norm is the only way to get more people accepted across all communities.

My Crowley had a wonderful PriDEMONth and I met mother Sasha Colby the winner of Drag Race Season 15 and Landon Cider who won Dragula Season 3 and also Jimbo the winner of All Stars 8. They were all so nice and fun to meet and I love the plants behind us as well that certainly does grow better.
