Mum got me and Charlie stim toy advent calanders in what has to be her best act as a human being in at least a couple of years, but one of the first things out of it is this delightful crime against nature;

The Girl Toy Pink ending up making it look fleshy, the grossly elongated "tail" attatched right to the torso combined with the damn near vestigial human arms, the inked on eyes that manage to almost, but not quite, completely miss the actual eye sockets? Girl looks like Tomei got a job in a toy factory. This bitch will be slithering behind me in Silent Hill. Gonna wake up in the middle of the night to her absorbing a roomful of sled dogs I love her so much

Headcanons for Rendog

With both general headcanons and stim headcanons, specifically around LL!Rendog.

General: 🐾 You had to learn how to tie your hair up, because usually you just cut it short, but you didn’t really have scissors in Last Life and there was no way you were going to try cut your hair with a sword. 🐾 You also loved to mess around with potions, because while the effects were the main part, you also loved smelling them and mixing them around to see how they moved around in their bottles. 🐾 On some nights, you liked to imagine running with wild wolves and joining their packs, and at one point you got told to shut up by whoever you were rooming with because you were howling one night. 🐾 You could actually turn into different breeds of dogs, and you loved to be any kind of sled dog, because they were just always so fluffy. 🐾 You had fleas. Like, straight up, you just had fleas.

Stim: 🐾 Pawing at soft things. 🐾 Rolling over on to your back and kicking your legs up in the air. 🐾 Running around in circles. 🐾 Licking things that have an interesting texture. 🐾 Brushing your tail and ears with your hands.

Urg. Not people suggesting e-collar for dogs playing at the end of their joring line, young dogs at that. Just. Issue a corrective tone and brake suddenly to interrupt the behavior. Literally playing on line should = not moving forward, braking is usually adverse enough to stop the behavior in the moment. Running/pulling is rewarding, stopping is not. Like idk an e-collar is so unnecessary in this instance and I don’t know a single veteran in the sport that would suggest one for this case. Timing that correctly while you are biking/scootering/joring? Nearly impossible.

Matt Headcannons!! ❤

- Oh dear sweet lord this kid-

-Matt is a literal ball of energy and is so impulsive it often lands him in trouble-

-You would honestly...Never expect Mello and Matt to get along, but after they met at the orphanage they realized that it was better to stick together than face this place alone so they kind of just....gravitated towards each other.

☆They shortly after became friends and then best friends and well....The rest is history.

☆While Mello expends nearly all his energy in trying to prove himself, Matt gave up a long time ago. He tends to go by a more lax approach, and although he does tend to get pretty good grades (I mean he's the 3rd best candidate still cmon-) he knows he will never beat Near let alone Mello so he doesn't really fully apply himself.

☆ I mean...In Mellos case its more he doesn't want to. Mellos worked his whole life for this. He isn't going to push him further away from his goal.

☆Matt is a die hard rule breaker and has done many a stupid thing for the sake of fun.

Like....That one time him and Mello ran away on the subway train for a day down to a neighboring city, before being tracked down by Wammy himself and brought back.

☆Before they were caught they had a blast though! Went on every Rollercoaster in a theme park and snuck into a concert.

☆And then they played tag in the woods with some glowsticks they got at the dollarstore...It was awesome.

☆Matt is probably the most self aware of the Wammy boys to be honest. Hes honestly deep down...Super afraid for whoever is unlucky enough to actually be Ls succesor because to be honest that life....Isn't worth living. The pressure must be horrible and...Its not like you'd be able to break out. Why else would a normal orphanage be so admant about bringing them back everytime they ran away? And how did....They always find them?

☆Matt is a huge huge gamer and loves all sorts of games. He especially loves indie games like Undertale and even rhythm based games! I feel like he'd also really likes pretty much any fighting based game...

☆Has a pretty bad sense of humor and tends to quip a lot and make badly placed puns. Hes tried to initiate a small outside career as a stand up comedian and surprisingly....Its working pretty good.

☆He is...Surprisingly somber at times and is surprisingly one of the more realistic of the bunch.

☆Matt is Pansexual with a definite lean on guys.

☆I feel like his favorite artists would be Crystal Caverns, Glass Animals, and Lemon Demon. I feel like he'd particularly like the songs "Cabinet Man", "Life Itself" and "Untrust" along with maybe "Fighter" by Jack Stauber.

☆ Will absolutely jam out to his favorite songs and get so lost in the beat you could talk to him and he would never hear.

☆Has ADHD and tends to stim by fidgeting and listening to certain rhythms in songs.

☆His favorite plants are Corn Flowers and English Ivy. His favorite animals are probably Dogs and Magpies.

☆He has big hopes and...is a really big dreamer. Someday he wants to live somewhere far away from all the pressures of Wammys house with Mello and go on adventures every day. But...The way things are going that's highly unrealistic.

☆Matt loves nighttime and tends to gaze out at the sky often before he goes to sleep just thinking.

☆Surprisingly enough...Is a really good dancer with amazing coordination. Hes had lots of practice and has snuck out to many a party.

☆....He has had a crush on Mello for the longest time but...Could never tell him. He just deals with it now and hopes Mello notices but would honestly do anything for him...

☆He loves being surrounded by people and has a lot of outside connections, but aside from Mello was never fully accepted at Wammys house and often got into fights. His caretakers never really cared for him either...

So he always feels alone deep down.

☆Suprisingly loves the silence of winter, and loves walking around in the snow. Its therapeutic and always inspires his best ideas. Like...Sledding off the roof of Wammys house with Mello while Near distracts Wammy and Roger.

Yeah! Thats the best idea he thinks he's had in ages.

Adam Frankenstein/The Creature headcanons

sum of these r modern n sum rnt but. i just needed a list of my hcs

-This one is basically canon, but incredibly touch starved. He loves to cuddle, and will almost always be touching his partner in some way. Holding hands, brushing shoulders, that kinda stuff.

-loves animals!!!!! so much!!!! especially dogs, because of how they love unconditionally how affectionate they are. plus he had a dog sled so that makes me think..🥺❤️

-likes having his hair played w . A Lot

-very overly nervous ab literally EVERYTHING he does in the beginning of a relationship because he really doesn’t wanna fuck it up, but eventually gets decently confident in what 2 do w his partner

1. Introduce your OC

Vyxen Allaway, middle child of Orion and Alorah Allaway. She was born and raised in Alaska and made of 50% sugar and spice and 50% rainbow glitter. She’s dyspraxic (adhd and dysgraphia) and loves animals.

2. What are their talents?

Vyxen is excellent with animals, she has a team of sled dogs back in Alaska and several familiars on Illthdar. She’s also a fantastic hunter and tracker and a good shot with a bow. She’s also a traditional dancer.

7. How do they react to being sick?

Unless she’s so miserably sick that she’s bed bound, Vyx will usually just push through her illness. She might be a bit sluggish, but she’ll still be moving around and trying to go about life normally.

14. What do they do at a party?

She’d be right in the center of it, dancing and talking with anyone willing to indulge her.

15. Suppose your OC has tumblr. What’s their username, and what do they blog about?

HAHA! Vyxen’s username would be something like GlitterStars and her entire blog would be STIM posts and pictures of cute animals.

28. What is their favorite season or time of year, and why?

Vyxen likes fall, she enjoys the weather and she loves watching the leaves change color. Fall is also the end of fishing season for her, so it means her whole family is back together. They’re busy, but they’re together.

30. What would they be like in a 50′s AU?

50′s Vyxen would have the most twirable skirts and ribbons in her hair. She’d split her free time between grabbing milkshakes at dinners and trying to do her part in the Civil Rights Movement.

35. If they were to ever get arrested, why would it be?

Shoplifting or some other theft-related charge. That or obstruction of justice because she lied for Salem.

40. List a random fact about them.

Some of the things Vyxen most wants to do are very common things that other kids would think nothing of, like trick-or-treating, roller skating and going to fairs. She never got to do those things on the homestead and she thinks they’d be a lot of fun!

Salem

1. Introduce your OC 

Salem Allaway, eldest child of Orion and Alorah Allaway. Also raised in Alaska, Salem is well known in the nearby towns for being strong and dependable. Since his father died, he’s the main money maker for the household.

2. What are their talents?

Salem has a lot of practical talents. He can fix and build just about anything, he’s got a lot of boat and construction skills. He’s a good fisher and hunter and also a traditional dancer.

5. What type of sacrifices would you use to summon your OC?

You could summon Salem with beef jerky, pizza or any kind of fast food.

11. If they were an animal, what animal would they be? If they’re already an animal, what would they look like as a human?

If Salem was an animal he would likely be a wolf. Vyxen would say he’d be a very ugly fish though. Mason thinks he’d be a goat.

19. What fandoms, if any, would they be in?

I think Salem would like Marvel a whole lot. He would have really enjoyed movies like Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy. He’d also be into Game of Thrones and interesting cartoons like Gravity Falls.

20. What are their eating habits? Do they have a favorite food?

Salem will eat almost anything. He prefers things that are savory or salty, he likes jerky and salted peanuts best in terms of snacks. He doesn’t much like sweets.

28. What is their favorite season or time of year, and why?

Winter, because he can finally take a break and maybe, maybe, get some naps in. It depends on how willing his siblings are to leave him alone for a little while.

29. How do they spend their birthday?

His birthday falls right near the end of fishing season, he usually spends it working. His family usually makes sure he gets some good food in him that day and Vyxen always buys him something small.

34. Do they have any weird idiosyncrasies? Do others find them annoying or endearing? 

Like all Allaways, Salem can be loud. He also likes to push peoples buttons which can get him on some peoples bad sides.

35. If they were to ever get arrested, why would it be?

He did get arrested once, for fighting. He almost got arrested a second time for ‘disturbing the peace’ and threatening state troopers.

39. What are their biggest regrets?

His single biggest regret is that he wasn’t able to save his father.

40. List a random fact about them.

His absolute favorite thing about fishing season is getting to interact with modern society. He likes living on the homestead, but he also really likes the internet and video games.

This is a Siberian Husky

Medium size, blue/brown/gold eyes, thin body for sled racing, triangle ears on top of head, wolf like body, puff tail is low or high over back, extremely high energy, very stubborn

This is an Alaskan Malamute

Large - giant size, small round brown/gold eyes, bulky build for freight pulling, rounded wideset ears, bear like body, friendly and sociable nature, heavy footed, long fanned tail is curled on back, medium energy

This is a West Siberian Laika (other variations include the ESL, and Karelian Bear Dog)

Medium size, brown/gold/blue eyes, athletic build for hunting, sighthound like, tightly curled tail, tall pointed ears, naturally aggressive, light footed, needs excessive mental stimulation

This is an Alaskan Husky (or mixed husky if they aren't working dogs)

Medium sized, usually black or white, Alaskan Huskies are dogs bred for working ability in Alaska instead of show, usually is a cross between an arctic breed and a sighthound or herding breed, not a standard breed

This is a Northern Inuit Dog

Large size, brown eyes, thin, pointed face, large triangular ears, low hanging tail, grey sable/black and white, noticable white eyebrows, bred for appearance and not working, friendly and sociable

Average Wolf

Large - giant size, usually red/tan/white/black/grey coloring, sharply angled gold eyes, wideset triangular ears, very timid, needs excessive mental stim

These are just a few of the breeds that get grouped together and mixed because no one knows the difference, then they'll say "oh my husky has some wolf in him". Can we stop calling all arctic breeds, "Huskies"? Can we stop comparing Huskies to Wolves?

Levidromes

A levidrome is a word that when spelled backwards makes another word. Well, at least not yet. It is not in the Oxford English Dictionary. Levi Budd is a six-year-old boy from British Columbia in Canada who has coined the term 'levidrome' after spotting that the word 'STOP' spells 'POTS' backwards. After realising that there is no such word in English for this phenomena, a social media campaign has started to get this word in popular usage (hence this post). I wrote a short Python script this morning that will pull all of the levidromes from a dictionary file. The full list is copied below.

It is interesting to note that some levidromes are also palindromes. I wonder whether we need a new word to describe this phenomenon also?  Furthermore, there is no word in English for "a word that you make up in order to make another word make sense". I suggest: "emordivel" ?
